versions of booster gold made by people who obviously dont know much about booster can be so infuriating because they tend to depict him as stupid or as a joke and then people who only know him from these depictions in more popular media have a skewed impression of him

i feel like there needs to be some sorta study about the way opinions on games work, and this weird hatefully dependant relationship gamers have with game reviews, sites like ign and shit. i noticed it particularly on the new suicide squad game - for those out of the loop, the new "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" game is out, with a pretty disastrous pre-launch, and worse launch. Before games come out, normally early copies are given out to reviewers so they play it and give out their impressions before release, so people know whether to buy them or not. on paper this concept is good, and can heavily affect the launch of the game and the way people perceive it. however, this concept doesn't always, or even usually, work, because reviews are so skewed and biased. games like cyberpunk 2077 had one of the worst releases ever seen in gaming, with a completely broken mess of a game that didnt pack half of the features promised, yet pre-launch reviews were top tier, with 5/5s and 9/10s all over (screenrant compilation of reviews). so obviously, either most polished and minimized versions are given out at times to hide the mess, or reviewers are paid off or just plain stupid.
now, not for those reasons, the suicide squad game's early copies were not given out to reviewers. this was likely because the game isn't very good, or at least doesn't meet expectations, and the studio didn't want to showcase it before launch, so people still buy it. This could be because the studio didnt want to pay reviewers off, or they weren't confident that reviewers would be dumb enough to give good reviews. Alternatively its because they thought their reputation would be even further tarnished if a well reviewed game turned out to be an utter piece of shit again. obviously this all backfired and the review embargo was incessantly spoken of and speculations about the games shittiness rose.
few days later, game comes out - only people seen to be having a good time? I've seen people saying to not believe reviews and to play the game yourself - no one is saying its an amazing, reality shattering masterpiece, but its a fun looter-shooter. it has some cool designs and ideas, and the gameplay is pretty fluid (I haven't played it, im quoting people ive seen, who aren't qualified reviewers). launch is pretty tame comparatively, and is honestly one of the better releases the studio could've hoped for probably. it performs pretty mediocre on day one, but pre-launch was a weird clusterfuck so its not surprising. overall, for a game most people dubbed 7/10 at best, with terrible expectations and advertising, launch is great.
and the come the reviews. IGN has given the game 5/10 - which, for IGN, is basically a 1/10. IGN is notorious for very rarely dipping below 7/10, giving some of the biggest pieces of shit, truly 1/10 games, passable scores. On recent reviews i had to scroll pretty far to find a game below 6 (and was plenty surprised to find a 1/10 game, The Day Before), and those with 5s and below are normally minor, non-AAA games like Bluey: The Game, or some weird fortnite festival with a 4/10. Games with horrendous reviews from people I've spoken to, and some game critics on youtube, like avatar: frontiers of pandora, have survived with a 7/10 despite underwhelming launches and mid-to-terrible gameplay and story. What I'm getting at basically, is that Suicide Squad is one of the few triple-A games I've seen in a long time to get a bad score, when normally IGN sucks big studios like warner brothers off.
So, could this be because the game is shit? Unlikely, since as I said, people were enjoying it. If you disagree with that because you didn't enjoy it, then disregard and remember that significantly bigger pieces of shit still got better scores than suicide squad.
REMEMBER THE CYBERPUNK LAUNCH (9/10 UwU) [Editors note: Editors note 2: Update: Editors note:]).
So no, i don't believe IGN gave suicide squad a 5/10 just because its a bad game. Following a careful analysis and bonking my head with a brick until I got a concussion, i do believe IGN only gave suicide squad a bad score because of the review embargo. Frankly if you told me the reviewers didn't even play the game, i would probably believe you, because it seems like the most agenda-fueled, hate-stirring vengeful move IGN has done in a while, even going so far as to use the memory of the late Kevin Conroy, batman's voice actor, to stir hate by calling his performance in the suicide squad game 'a waste', despite kevin stating before he enjoyed playing an evil batman. IGN literally used a dead guy's performance in a game to indicate the game is a waste and not worth the effort, to stir hate in players and push their salty agenda. Why? Presumably, because they didn't get early review copies. Because they want to discourage this in future releases, because their entire website is built on getting bribed to suck off bad games and save them from terrible launches. They know they've been failing in recent years. With shitshows like cyberpunk not passing under the gamer radar anymore, studios know that a few paid off reviewers wont do enough to salvage their half-assed pieces of shit, so either they gotta make good games with effort, or polish them afterwards anyways, and either way reviewers aren't a worthwhile investment anymore.
On a sidenote, I'd love to come up here at the climax of my post with hard evidence IGN gets bribed for good scores. I have some old articles from like 2012, and a bunch of people on reddit who said so, but not really any hard evidence. There were allegations thrown around regarding starfield, another terrible game with good scores, that IGN got bribed by microsoft to give it a good review. IGN chief pledged to quit his job if evidence was brought forwards, and i dont think that happened. I can't prove to you beyond a reasonable doubt that IGN is bribed to be so skewed; at the very least, it seems like a profitable cycle of investments. Game is terrible and cheap, studios pay IGN to put a bandaid on it, release is profitable, the end. But with no evidence, its only really a theory... a... a... nay, i shan't.
So what did we learn? It seems like IGN is intentionally trying to tank the Suicide Squad launch, because they're salty over being cut out of the scam. It seems like journalistic integrity is thrown even farther out of the window, with IGN trying to act like mafia loan sharks by roughing up the game for not coming with a share of the profits, and discouraging future games from following suit. IGN right now seems like a parasite on the gaming industry, a leech that's been profiting off this perpetuating cycle of the industry dying with terrible cheap games that kill the genre's artistry. Now it looks a bit like the game industry is healing, and the IGN leech is starting to peel off, no longer able to cash in on failure games like the tabloid scum they are.
Don't let IGN discourage you from playing good games. This isn't an advertisement for the Suicide Squad, I barely even know if its actually good. IGN is clearly biased though, and so are most other game review sites. Do not trust reviews from corpo-sites, simply said.

Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League should NOT be canon to the Arkhamverse.
I know my opinion won't be a very popular one and that no one cares as much as I do, but the very thought of this game being canon to the Arkhamverse makes me want to burn down an orphanage.
My grievances with this game are more complicated than disliking the playstyle. It may appear that I'm being too hasty in my judgment of an unreleased game, but I have a powerful feeling of foreboding I've experienced about famously "bad" games in the past. It's a stubborn feeling that won't relent and continues to gnaw at me despite my attempts to allay concerns.
From what I've seen of the game, I can tell you that this game should not be in any way connected to the Arkhamverse. There's objectively no reason for this game to be set in the Arkhamverse other than Rocksteady's hope of using the brand to sell a stillborn game that should be its own thing. I would petition Rocksteady to decide against making SSKTJL canon but I doubt anyone cares as much as me.
It's painfully obvious that this game is based more on the Suicide Squad movies than the Arkham series. Arkhamverse Deadshot was a white man, not a black man. Before anyone accuses me of racism, I'm merely pointing out that the movie Deadshot was played by Will Smith, a black man and now Arkhamverse Deadshot, a white man was race changed to black to imitate the movie. King Shark is canonically dead in the Arkhamverse. So is Captain Boomerang. The tonal dissonance between the two is neck-breaking levels of jarring. I'm begging Rocksteady to reconsider connecting this steaming pile to the Arkhamverse as despite what people have said to me, bad storytelling, terrible retcons, and cop-out excuses do have extremely negative effects on a brand's image.

Stop Having a Concussion and Get us Home!
Tim works as the CEO of Wayne Enterprises. Tim has a secretary, and then he has another one to help her because holy shit, the amount of crap Tam puts up with is insane and she needs an assistant of her own.
Tim's second secretary is one Danny Fenton.
Tim, Tam, and Danny are the last ones in Wayne Enterprises, as the building had to be evacuated due to Superman being mind-controlled and targeting major corporations.
Superman targets Wayne Enterprises.
Tim looks out the window as he his secretaries make their way towards the emergency exit, and there he is.
Floating there.
Staring at him.
Tim swears he can see his Uncle Clark sobbing as his eyes heat up.
Then Danny grabs him, yanks him into the stairwell, and just as the building starts to crumble around them, shoves both Tim and Tam into a glowing green portal.
Danny takes a blow to the head.
They land on a floating island, in a swirling vortex of green, and the one who got them there is unconscious on the ground with a nasty headwound.
Meanwhile, after the Justice League manages to snap Superman out of it, the man throws himself at Batmans feet and just...sobs.
Breaks.
They get the story in bits and pieces.
Tim was in the building, still. The burning, twisted wreckage of Wayne Enterprises.
And Clark can't hear his heartbeat anymore.

DP x DC prompt #3:
Many people believe that Pandora is the ghost of an Amazon, the guardian of hope trapped in her box. This is all true, but they’re missing something very crucial about her- she’s the Ancient of Peace.
Is it ironic? Yes. Is it Apt? Also yes.
The Amazons do not desire war, but they train all their lives to fight.
Pandora embodies the Latin phrase:
Si vis pacem, para bellum
If you want peace, prepare for war.
Peace was never in the box, because Pandora is the concept of it given corporal form, much like the Ancients of Time, Weather and Dreams.
Hers is just a bit harder to figure out past first glance.
Prior to being given her box, Pandora excelled at diplomacy, because she was raised to believe that drawing a weapon should be the last resort, unlike her modern day sisters. Given that brawling is a way of bonding with ghosts, it’s become skewered, that belief. Yet, Pandora never raises her weapon first.
When the Justice League demands a meeting with the King’s council… well…

DP x DC combined with the Balanced/Dual Obsessions AU where Danny frequently goes to the Watchtower to safely stargaze and fulfill his secondary space obsession while invisible, and he’s been doing this for months and has yet to be noticed (albeit there has been some moments where members of the Justice League have felt a little creeped out, and the Flash swears he saw a glowing kid when he ran past the main room earlier, but when he stopped running the kid was gone-).
He sometimes brings some homework or snacks and other such things up with him.
One day, he just,,, gets so entranced watching space that he just... forgets to be invisible, and scares the FUCK out of half the Justice League due to suddenly appearing.
One rushed explanation later, Danny manages to convince them that he’s just a harmless, powerless ghost, who just wants to stargaze. He stays semi-intangible, and flickers to invisibility a couple times to make it seem like he doesn’t have enough power to form a corporeal form. And you know, they believe him.
He doesn’t plan to keep that up for long, but you know how it is with Danny and lies.
Eventually, the Justice League needs help with a threat.
So of course, Danny shows up to help out.
But the thing is. The differences between how he looks when fulfilling his hero obsession (heroic/protective aura, more confident stance, etc) and his space obsession (looks more childish/his actual age, comforting/kind aura, star freckles), plus the way he made himself seem slightly less corporeal when in the Watchtower, lead the Justice League into believing that these are two different ghosts.
Especially since Danny never gave them his name when in the Watchtower, claiming he didn’t remember it. (He does tell them to call him Phantom when he helps them out though).
Danny finds out about this assumption and doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry over having to keep up ANOTHER secret identity. He refuses to go to the Watchtower despite being inducted into the Justice League because he knows the instant he steps in there his space obsession will take over and he’ll be outed.
....And then one night, while stargazing, he accidentally leaves behind the Crown of Fire. So, the next day, mid-afternoon, Phantom shows up, in hero obsession mode, desperately searching the Watchtower for his crown, pointedly Not Looking at the Windows.
A couple of people (namely Batman) figure out what’s going on/see him flicker to space mode while searching, but overall it’s still a surprise to the majority of them when Phantom breathes out a sigh of relief upon finding the crown... and adrenaline rush over, snaps immediately into space mode in front of them.

dp x dc 2 Mother Gotham
I had... zero intention of continuing this.... and i still.. have zero intention of continuing... lol i don’t know how this part 2 happened XD Please enjoy or feel free to take it   ~
Part 1      Master List  Constantine stared.
He’d had very, very little time to learn everything he thought he needed to know about the Ghost King through his contacts and as an adult, he didn’t like what he’d heard so far. He might not be the most responsible bloke but damn it, he wasn’t okay with a fourteen year old taking on so much pressure after what was likely a traumatic death.
He learned very little other than how young he was, how well liked he was, and how he’d not only earned the respect of many ancients, but befriended them. A good section of his contacts refused to answer any questions about him at all, stating at they didn’t want to cause trouble for the king.
It was commendable but fucking frustrating. He had to find his boy and his sister and take them to both Lady Gotham and Batman. He’d had a headache all night.
Constantine wasn’t a stranger to the occult, not by a long shot. He was rather the Justice League’s resident expert, but his lack of knowledge surrounding Amity Park was inexcusable. He had no idea how an entire town went unnoticed but he was going to find out.
The amount of liminals in one place was ridiculous but he’d have to actually go there to gather more information on these teenagers. As things were, he was waiting at the Gotham welcome Center at the appointed time and was always startled by the amount of activity there. People coming and going. Gothamites were unfazed by the gloom of the city and newcomers were often transfixed by their first taste of a city that harbored so many curses.
Few were able to understand that it was Lady Gotham stretching her non-corporeal limbs.
He’d only been there an hour, and he had no description of these teenagers. He should have just asked Bruce. The man had probably somehow already tracked down everything on these kid right down to their favorite colors, but he hadn’t honestly thought he’d need anything like that. Turns out... he was right.
Constantine had just lit another cigarette when the room got cold. He glanced around the room, eyes zeroing in on a hooded figure, a NASA logo printed across the front. He slid up to a vending machine, pushing a dollar in and punching in the numbers for whatever snack he wanted.
The kid was so unassuming. He could have been any random teenager. The strangest thing about him was that he had a thermos dangling off his belt and stars had been drawn on his shoes in what looked like marker.
He bent to pick up his snack, but when he turned, he was already pinning Constantine with a stare.
He wasn’t used to a kid being the one to pick him out in a crowd, but this one…well… Constantine wasn’t about to question his qualifications as royalty. When Constantine did nothing, the teens head cocked to the side in confusion. It was a far too long moment where they did nothing but stare at one another from across the room.
The staring contest was broken when a red headed young woman exited the nearby bathroom and slid up behind her brother, a hand on his shoulder and a question on her lips. She was definitely liminal, and not as human as they both likely had been once. Not that that mattered to him. It was just one more piece of information to file away for later. The Ghost King silently nodded in his direction, and now there were two piercing gazes in his direction.
There was something about the sister he couldn’t put his finger on but it would be a bloody cold day in hell before he purposely pissed her off. She was definitely the type to be her brothers keeper, and someone with that kind of sway over the Ghost King was no one to fuck around with.
He inhaled once more, enjoying the smoke filling his lungs before he hauled himself off the bench he’d been occupying to head towards them.
“Welcome to Gotham. I’m your one man welcoming committee.” He greeted.
“Who sent you?” The redhead asked.
“Got a name?” The Ghost King asked right after.
They were paranoid, but he didn’t blame them for that. Whatever had them running likely wasn’t friendly. The boy's eyes were rimmed with dark circles and there were bruises along his jaw and neck. His sister wasn’t injury free either. She was holding one of her arms to her chest. Possibly a dislocated shoulder or elbow. “John Constantine. Member of the Justice League Dark.”
He never would have introduced himself like that normally but he was dealing with a King and well... spooked kids.
“Dark?” The brother and sister exchanged a look.
Constantine grunted. “We deal with the magical nasties and what not. I was summoned to Gotham to greet you, Majesty.”
The Ghost King didn’t wince, but there was a tick to his jaw.  “Danny.” He corrected. “This is my sister, Jazz.”
“Who was it who summoned you?” Jazz asked, her good arm wrapped around one of her brother’s.
Constantine nodded to Danny. “His mother. Dunno your full story, but i was led to believe this was your actual mother.”
Danny’s lips pinched. “That is what Clockwork said…” He muttered to his sister who nodded, though she didn’t look overly trusting.
“And you have no connection to the GIW?” She bulldozed right through.
Constantine’s eyes narrowed. “Bloody fuck is that?”
They exchanged another look. “The Ghost Investigation Ward.”
“The fuck?” He inhaled again, pulling the cigarette away from his mouth. “What’s their problem?”
Danny’s brows lowered, a soft, quiet, and mostly certainly deadly sort of anger in that look. “Hunting and experimenting on my people for sport.”
Constantine tsked, but it did nothing to truly betray how pissed off that made him. “Sounds like a couple of pretenders messing around in my neck of the woods. Thanks for the tip. I’ll be looking into that.” He paused to pull out his cell phone and make a note of them. “No, I’m a right bastard for sure but meddling with the Infinite Realm is a major no-no.”
The Ghost King’s ire lessened somewhat, but the faint glow to Jazz’s eyes hadn’t yet waned. “Why were you picked to escort us?”
“Probably because i’m one of few around that could hear the call. Your mother has been making arrangements for the both of you. I’ll take you to her first and then to where you’ll be living.” They weren’t a very trusting pair, but he had to assume they had every reason to be cautious.
Danny finally heaved a sigh and took his sister’s hand. “Fine. It’s a leap but only a lunatic would claim to be in the Justice League when they weren’t.”
Constantine didn’t react to that, he didn’t want to worry the kid about how many lunatics there actually were. The laugh he’d have over this kid looking like Wayne adoption bait would have to wait.
“Besides, one wail will take out a good chunk of Gotham, so i’m sure you won’t do anything stupid.” Danny continued.
“Noted…” Constantine said dryly. He was getting shitfaced tonight.
~
Danny rather liked Gotham. Sure he’d barely seen any of it but the ambient ectoplasm was more than enough to sustain him. There weren’t many people who could say that kind of thing energized them but Danny sure could. Jazz could to a lesser extent. It was almost like home, except hopefully less volatile.
Constantine showed them to his car that smelled like alcohol, cigarettes and magic and took off with them. He didn’t even seem to mind Danny opening and eating his bag of chips. He knew Jazz wasn’t in a trusting mood. He wasn’t either but Clockwork had told him bits about his mother. Had told him to follow his core and he’d find his mother. So far… he was satisfied with the direction they were headed.
He stifled a yawn but tired tears sprung to his eyes anyway. He had no idea what time it was anymore. Gotham was so dark but there were people out on the street. It could have been noon or midnight and he was too lazy to even pull out his phone and check. It didn’t matter when his master plan was to get himself and Jazz somewhere safe and then sleep for hours.
When Constantine finally pulled his car to a stop and got out, it had started to drizzle just a little. It wasn’t enough rain to even really get them wet, it was just vaguely annoying. The streets were startlingly vacant compared to the ones they’ve driven passed before and this was obviously an older section of the city.
Having just arrived, Danny and Jazz didn’t know all the districts in Gotham yet but it didn’t take a genius to figure out that this wasn’t main street. Constantine headed towards an old bridge, pieces of it having crumbled away from age but the architecture had obviously once been top tier.
“Where are we?” Jazz asked, keeping close to Danny, her voice only just above a whisper but Constantine heard her.
“The meeting point.”
Danny frowned, but he held out an arm to keep his sister behind him. His core fluttered in his chest, and he recognized that something was coming. He tried to pinpoint exactly what it was but the feeling was something altogether new though it reminded him of Clockwork or Pandora.
With a gentle wave of power, she appeared. A woman, cloaked with gargoyle like features. She could have been made of stone but she approached them cautiously. “Daneil.” She whispered, and he felt her voice wash over him with emotion. Pride. Pride. Pride. Regret. Pain. Joy.
Confused. Relaxed. “Was that my name?” he asked. He’d been so terribly small when the Fenton’s had caught him but he could see how his name could have gotten twisted around at some point. “Are you…?”
Welcome. Welcome. Welcome.
“This is Lady Gotham.” Constantine said, probably for Jazz and Danny’s benefit.
She moved, fazing in and out of existence and stopping just out of reach. “Son…” she whispered, the emotion nearly dropping him to his knees. All of her attention was on him. When was the last time he’d had that from a parental figure?
Danny stared back at her, her green eyes so familiar. He reached up to touch his cheek under his own blue eyes. It was a wonder she could even recognize him. Sure he felt the same but he was half human. Half alive. That didn’t matter to her?
Doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter.
Danny exhaled shakily, falling into his shift. The rings of light circled around his middle before spreading out and revealing his ghost half. White hair topped with a black crown and green eyes matching the spirits.
Constantine cursed softly under his breath, taking several steps away.
“Oh, don’t be a wuss.” Jazz chuckled. “He’s not after you.”
“Not taking any chances with all that,” he said.
Danny couldn’t help his faint smile at that. “Daneil.” Lady Gotham reached out slowly, cupping his face. She didn’t feel like stone for all she looked like it. She was cool to the touch and he wondered what her core was. She felt familiar. Like he’d met her before. That made sense if she were his mother but after all this time, there was this connection that clicked into place.
I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Lost you. Lost you.
Here now. Here now. “It’s okay.” Danny muttered, barely even registering that the bruises on his face were disappearing. “It’s not your fault.” He dared to move, stepping into her space to hug her. She trilled in affection, holding him tightly while Danny chirped his automatic response. When was the last time Maddie had hugged him?
Jazz could make him purr or chirp in affection but had his parents ever? He’d known Lady Gotham for all of a handful of minutes and already he felt safe in her haunt. It was far safer than his in Amity.
Welcome. Welcome. Missed you. Missed you. “Daneil.” She said his name like a prayer. Voice quiet but filled with affection.
“Guess i’m staying here for a while.” He muttered, his core humming. He pulled away from the hug, silently wondering if he’d ever grow horns or something like Lady Gotham when he glanced back over at his sister. She was waiting patiently, still cradling her arm. He’d managed to pop it back into it’s socket but it was terribly tender. “What do you think?”
“I’m staying if you’re staying.” Jazz said simply.
“Good child.” Lady Gotham whispered. She vanished from in front of Danny and reappeared next to Jazz. Thank you, Thank you. Thank you.
Jazz couldn’t always make out the words in emotions but she felt them all the same. Her smile was warm. “He’s my little brother. I love him. I had to come along.”
She hadn’t. She could have lived a normal life. She could have left him behind. She didn’t have to act as his shield when their parents found out about him. She didn’t have to but she did. She’d never abandoned him.
Welcome.
“We’ll figure it out, Jazz. Promise.”
Lady Gotham reached slowly, taking Jazz’s hands. Thank you. Her immense power shifted again and Jazz gasped in surprise. Danny raised a brow but grinned at the drop of Gotham’s power that flowed into his sister. It sped her healing up, taking away the ache in her arm. He guessed Jazz would become a stronger liminal than she already was.
Constantine cursed again. “This just doesn’t happen…” he muttered.
Danny could tell though, his mother was amused.
“Jasna.” Lady Gotham spoke clearly, pleased with herself.
“Wait… what?” Jazz looked confused, trying to read the emotions that were being sent to her. It was a mouthful, and amounted to… The sister of my son is also mine.
“Renamed by an ancient…” Constantine was shaking his head, pulling out a flask from his jacket pocket. Names were powerful… you couldn’t just hand them out… But he was not about to argue with Lady Gotham.
Danny snickered. “You can still keep your nickname, Jazz.” He felt… calm. He was happy to be here. He liked Gotham because it was safe and his mother was here and everything suddenly felt like it would be okay after all. He and Jazz could start over.
“Jasna…” Jazz repeated, testing it out. “Thank you.” After everything that had happened.., she could use a mother figure.
Lady Gotham seemed so satisfied. She turned back to Danny, hugging him again, even the wings on her arms fluttered with delight to have her child back.
My son. My son.
Danny smiled, wondering if it was like this for all ghost children when their parents were near. He’d have to call Ellie and have her swing by to see if she felt the same way he did. “We’ll figure everything out…” He paused and looked back at Constantine. “You were taking us somewhere else too?”
“Yeah.” He was flicking his lighter on and off, likely considering another smoke. “Lady Gotham is entrusting you to someone who will also have a hand in keeping you safe. She hand picked him and everything.”
“We just need an apartment… and…” Jazz frowned a little. They’d talked about it a little and Danny had hated the idea of his sister giving up on school for even a week.
“Not necessary.” Constantine said dryly. “You’ll be fine.”
“Where…are we going exactly?” Danny asked, looking at his mother again. He was so strangely pleased that they had the same eyes.
She laughed, actually laughed. He felt her excitement in her bones. She pointed up into the air and only a few beats later, the bat signal was spread across the sky, glowing against the smog and clouds.
“That’s…” Jazz blinked, who could have planned for this?
“No way.” Danny stared at the glowing signal. Everyone knew what that meant. He looked to Constantine again who only nodded his confirmation. His mother was still laughing, enjoying the moment. “We’re staying with Batman!?” ~~ ~~
I really didn’t intend to continue this, i’m not sure it’ll happen again. I have no confidence in writing for the Batfam. If anyone is interested, go for it.

Call them the triple threat because if they wanted to, they could be a massive threat lmao.
Danny, Vlad, Dan.
Three cats, all held up in different cities.
Danny, Head of one of the many cat Familias in Gotham city.
Vlad, the actual CEO of a massive business corporation that rivals both Wayne Tech and Lexcorp.
Dan, well. Uh. He just wanders around if I'm going to be honest.
ANYWHO.
Alien invasion, go.
The Justice League is dealing with the heart of the issue, and Danny, Vlad, and Dan?
Well, uh.
Dan kinda just goes absolutely ballistic. He doesn't care that he's a cat, he still has basically all of his powers and his durability, so he's just ripping and tearing at everything he can get his paws on.
Danny, currently stationed in Gotham, is fighting with whatever batclan member was left in the city for its defense. Kevin is also there, despite Danny's insistence for him to stay at base, he's immortal so it's fine.
Vlad, the guy using the current CEO as a puppet for his business, is watching from his penthouse everything that's happening. Not really determined to lift a finger so much as to bat away anything that comes to close. But then his puppet is worrying about the people outside, and that worrying is causing him to be anxious and his puppet is annoying when anxious so he guesses he'll go down there and help or whatever.

In which Sam is the first member of Team Phantom to encounter the Justice League because she occasionally leaves Amity Park to (take direct action) be a supervillain.
Corporations destroying the environment or abusing animals fear her. She has no fatalities to her name (This is one part morality and two parts practicality. Non-lethal villains tend to be less of a priority and it denies her opponents a method to smear her causes.) but is wanted for massive property damage.
She does this by turning into a dragon. Specifically a black and purple dragon wearing an gold and green amulet.
The Justice League thinks she's a magic user because the amulet she wears is recognized as the one of the long lost Amulets of Aragon.
Tucker is her main backup: making sure they are targeting the right places and occasionally leaking incriminating information they come across, along with using the security systems to help check that the buildings are clear of people before bringing them down.
Danny is her emergency back up, ready to pull her out if something goes really wrong, but otherwise not getting involved.

I saw your last order and thought of an alternative.
In the Young Justice cartoon, they discover that Cadmus has a clone of Superman. Now imagine that the reader (he's from the justice league) and bruce discover that cadmus made a clone with the following dna: reader, bruce and ra's. Everyone is shocked when they discover even Ra's, their son may have Ra's hair, blue-green eyes and skin.
Then you can decide the rest.
Okay, this is interesting. I love it. Also, 1.1k followers in a short period of time... Thanks guys.
Summary: Cadmus made a clone with the 3 people that no one would ever think of.
Warnings: established (Y/N) x Bruce Wayne, clones, Ra's creeps (Y/N) out, Bruce is protective, (Y/N) is almost a mama bear.
Tumblr media
(Y/N) and Bruce are the staples of the Justice League and the power couple of both Gotham and Justice League. They know each other for a very long time and the two compliment each other very well. (Y/N) was more gentle and kind of less scary, while Bruce was rough and scary. That is in the field of course.
In private, Bruce can be soft, especially with his sons and partner. (Y/N) is the one of the pillars of the family, alongside Alfred. His sons are protective of him more than they are of Bruce. (Y/N) found it heartwarming and he loved them all as if they were his own.
(Y/N) was also a vigilante alongside his husband and the two vigilantes are loved by their city. Sure there are critics, but the vast majority of the city loved them both. Some loved (Y/N) more than Bruce, but it was bound to happen when you have one who is rough and one who is more gentle than the other.
The Justice League was in awe of them both. It was the sheer way that the two cooperate and work together. There was mutual support from both sides, constant communication, even through the looks and subtle touches. The two know each other very well and lead the League very well.
And the two were the best of the best in what they did. Interrogations, tactics, strategies and locating somebody, (Y/N) and Bruce are the ones to call. More so when they are kings of blackmail. (Y/N) just loved blackmailing evil people and then see them crumble.
Ah.
Now, one of their biggest enemies was brewing something. It was the Cadmus project that has been around for a long time. It has ties with the US military and several major corporations are the ones to blame for the project. They seem to experiment on metahumans, aliens and everything else that isn't a human.
Of course, they had a lot of advanced technology with them and (Y/N) wouldn't be shocked that they dabbled into a lot of illegal activities. Cloning was one of those activities. There have been a few cases of cloning with the heroes, Superboy being one of those cases.
(Y/N) liked Superboy, but he had to admit, he was shocked when he was brought to the League. He looked so much like Clark and it freaked (Y/N) out badly. But soon he helped Clark with accepting the fact that in a way he is a father now and he had to help the clone out.
We all know how that turned out.
As for (Y/N) and Bruce, they had a rare night off. Both of them were exhausted and had to take a night in. The League urged them to take the night off, despite the fact that they had to raid an alleged hideout for Cadmus. Everyone said to sit it out due to their exhaustion.
(Y/N) said sure and dragged Bruce to their home. The two spent an lovely, relaxing evening, without a care in the world. (Y/N) felt great and Bruce, although he would rather die than to admit it, he liked this.
And yes, Bruce would go on that mission, but for (Y/N) he would stay. Unlike Bruce, (Y/N) had a sense when he had overworked himself and that's why every now and then he would take a break. And of course, in the process drag Bruce with him.
And that's what brought the two together in bed right now, just laying down next to one another, hands wondering over one another, just eager to touch one another. They were too tired to have sex, the contact was just enough for them.
" You know, I have to admit, I might have needed this break. " Bruce said as he rested his hands on (Y/N)'s hips, pulling him to lay his head on his chest, just above Bruce's heart. (Y/N) loved that spot more than anything. It reminded him that Bruce is alive and well.
" I knew it. " (Y/N) said, smiling as he put his arm over Bruce stomach.
" I hope the mission is going well. " Bruce said and (Y/N) hummed. He did too, but Superman and the others are going to be okay. Besides, they are more than capable to fight without them both.
" It is, I can tell you. They are more than capable to take over a little bit, B. " (Y/N) mumbled quietly, eyes closing. He was tired and Bruce followed him. The two were just ready to fall asleep, until a phone rang out in the room. Bruce and (Y/N) couldn't tell which one, but they both groaned in unison.
" You pick up. " (Y/N) said as he rolled over to let Bruce get up. Bruce huffed as he took the phone and answered. (Y/N) listened with his eyes closed, kind of exhausted.
" We'll be there. "
(Y/N) turned over, opening his eyes. " What's going on? "
" They have found a clone in the hideout. They say we have to come, but Clark sounds distraught. " Bruce said, quickly getting up. (Y/N) quickly got up too and the two quickly went to the cave. They put the suits in silence and Bruce activated the portal as they put their cowls on.
(Y/N) reached for Bruce's hand for a second. Bruce stopped as he turned around.
" What's wrong? " Bruce asked softly.
" I just have a bad feeling about all of this. " (Y/N) admitted and Bruce nodded. Sometimes, (Y/N) would get this gut feelings and sometimes they would be true, but sometimes wouldn't, but still, they have agreed to be careful when getting it.
" Alright. " Bruce said, leaning down to give (Y/N) a kiss before both of them became serious. They stepped through the Zeta tubes and in a quick moment the two were in the Justice League headquarters. Wonder Woman walked up to them and the trio started walking to the holding cells.
" While going searching the hideout, we found a clone. I think it's better to see it for yourself. " She said and Bruce and (Y/N) had to look at one another in wonder.
What is that supposed to mean?
(Y/N) saw what it meant when his eyes laid on that clone. That poor kid us a mix of Bruce and (Y/N). But there is one problem. There was somebody else's DNA. (Y/N) was shocked and he stepped closer. Okay.
How?
" How the hell... " (Y/N) started but trailed off. The clone walked closer to the glass cell just as (Y/N) did. Bruce was not far behind, watching the clone and his husband carefully.
" Whose DNA is this? " Bruce asked, not taking his eyes off of the duo.
" The DNA came from you two and... " She stopped for a moment and Bruce had to look at her.
" Wonder Woman, whose DNA is it? " Bruce asked and she looked at him with worry.
" Ra's Al Ghul's. "
Bruce and (Y/N) looked at one another. WHAT?
(Y/N) tried to say something, but couldn't. Ra's? RA'S?! (Y/N) couldn't blame the clone. It wasn't his fault by any means, but Ra's DNA? That explained the eyes though... And maybe the hair too.
Oh God.
" So what do we do? Is he a metahuman? " (Y/N) asked Wonder Woman and she shook her head.
" A human just like the two of you. " She confirmed and (Y/N) was a little bit relived. Okay.
That is not so bad.
" Okay. I think that we will take him under our wing, " (Y/N) paused before glancing at Bruce once more. " But what do we do about Ra's? He will interested. Moreso, I am interested how they got his DNA. "
" Aren't you interested how they got ours? " Bruce asked.
" There are times when we were injured badly on missions. I don't have a doubt that they have been looking through all the blood. " (Y/N) said and Bruce had to say that it wasn't that far from the truth. Will they ever know how they got their DNA? Not really. But that sounded like the most plausible option.
" Well, that would sound tedious. " Wonder Woman said and (Y/N) rubbed the back of his neck. Bruce noticed that his husband was nervous and has excused them from the room. Bruce led his nervous husband out in an empty hall.
He knew that his husband was about to break. His husband still couldn't fully reign his emotions in, but that doesn't matter to Bruce. (Y/N)'s soft spot were kids. He couldn't bare to seem them hurt and that was okay. Bruce could be strong in that aspect for both of them.
Bruce brought his husband in his arms, allowing him to hide his face and (Y/N) let out a shuddering breath. He was taking deep breaths to calm himself down.
" We have to take him in. " (Y/N) said as he removed his head from Bruce's chest.
" I know. " Bruce said, caressing (Y/N)'s face with his gloved hand.
" Poor kid... I'm sorry. "
Bruce shook his head as he leaned down to kiss him. " Never apologize for showing emotions. Never. That's one of the many things I love about you. It reminds me that I'm human and not something indestructible. You remind me that Batman is not just a symbol, but a human too. " Bruce said, giving (Y/N) a kiss on his cheek.
" Okay. I don't think that it would a good idea to take him in tonight. " (Y/N) said and Bruce nodded.
" We have to let him stay here for a while, he needs to get adjusted a bit. Once we know he is stable, we can take him back home. Okay? " Bruce said and (Y/N) had to nod in agreement.
" Good. Now, lets get back and tell Wonder Woman our plan. " Bruce said and (Y/N) composed himself.
(Y/N) and Bruce came back to the manor and slept until lunch. (Y/N) was stressed beyond belief and Bruce made sure that he distressed. (Y/N), like said before, loved kids and they were his soft spot. More correctly weak when it came to their sons. (Y/N) is a mama bear.
Through and through.
After eating lunch, (Y/N) wanted to spend time together with his husband, so they decided to relax on the couch watching a random movie they picked from Netflix. (Y/N)'s head was on the pillow that he put on Bruce's lap and the rest of him was covered by a blanket. Bruce's hands were gently going through his hair and they were both relaxed.
" Masters, Ra's al Ghul wishes to speak with you. " Alfred said and (Y/N) sat up quickly. Bruce tensed up. What?! The two stood up quickly as Alfred went to get Ra's.
" Why today? " (Y/N) mumbled to himself as he crossed his arms.
" Bruce. (Y/N). " Ra's said as he walked up to the two, taking (Y/N)'s hand to give it a kiss. Bruce rolled his eyes in the back, bringing (Y/N) to sit down next to him on the couch. Ra's sat down on the armchair, crossing his leg together at the ankle.
" I heard about a clone with my DNA. Is it true? " Ra's asked and Bruce nodded.
" Well, how did they do it? " Ra's asked and (Y/N) just shrugged his shoulders.
" I have a theory, but it's under a big if. " (Y/N) said and Ra's gave him his fully attention.
" And what would that theory be? "
" My guess would be that when we were injured on missions, they would go back and analyze the blood to find ours. We are all human after all. " (Y/N) said and Ra's gave it some thought.
" I have to say, it makes more sense than what I have been thinking. " Ra's said and (Y/N) didn't say anything in response. He didn't know what he thought.
Bruce put his hand on (Y/N)'waist, squeezing lightly. (Y/N) didn't like Ra's by any means and the man freaked him out. The flirting is something that made him really dislike Ra's. He is a married man, he is married to the love of his life. His Bruce. His B.
" Is that why you came here for Ra's? " Bruce asked, taking over, speaking for both himself and his husband.
" Yes. I wanted to see if it was true. Now there is a question of what to do with the boy. " Ra's said and glanced at (Y/N). He knew that kids are his soft spot.
" We help him adapt and he comes to live here. " Bruce answered for his husband once more and (Y/N) nodded.
" So he is a normal human? " Ra's asked, wanting more clarification.
" Yes. Although I have no doubt that he has a lot of skills when it comes to fighting skills. " (Y/N) chuckled to himself quietly. They didn't test him yet for it, but still. (Y/N) could only imagine the skills that that kid had on him.
" Good. I'm afraid that I have to go, but we will be seeing each other once more. " Ra's said as he stood up and (Y/N) and Bruce both stood up to. Ra's said goodbye to both to them, but not without giving (Y/N)'s hand a kiss goodbye.
(Y/N) forced himself to stay calm and once Ra's left the room, (Y/N) laid back down on the couch, covering himself with a blanket. Bruce watched in silence as his husband hid. He sat down next to him, bringing him into the position that they were in before Ra's came.
" Why does he like playing with me B? " (Y/N) asked and Bruce shrugged his shoulders.
" My guess it's that he likes you, but can't do anything since you are with me. And besides, he is trying to piss me off. " Bruce said and (Y/N) buried his face into Bruce's stomach. Bruce's hand was going through his hair, gently comforting him.
(Y/N) has never been the one to break and just allow emotions to take over, but Ra's was a pressure point for him. He didn't like it and he didn't like Ra's and it made him just...
It made him a whole lot of things that (Y/N) didn't like.
" Just breathe. " Bruce instructed. (Y/N) did as Bruce told him and he found himself to be more calmer. He closed his eyes as he just basked in presence of his husband.
" B? " (Y/N) prompted and Bruce hummed.
" I love you. "
Bruce allowed himself to smile. " I love you too. " He leaned down to kiss his husband's head. They will take the boy in soon and Ra's? Well, they could deal with him later. Right now, they are fine.

A lengthy thought wall about the recent RT shutdown and DillonGoo Studios' interest in acquiring RWBY - I speculate and entertain some hopium about the pros that could come with it and why all in all, impossible it may be, it's probably the best shot we have for RWBY.
Some rwde cause it mentions Shane's letter and nobody likes that.
I've been reading a lot, a lot of the various discussions around RWBY's fate and Dillon Goo Studio's (henceforth shortened to DGS) interest in acquiring it. Here's my overall evaluation everything so far:
This goes without saying but this is obviously an optimistic take on the matter, I wanna talk moreso about the pros rather than the logistics of whether DGS can afford it, whether you think it's just clout-chasing, etc.
Dillon's a former RWBY animator and a fan of Monty's work. No matter what you think of Monty's style of action, in the greater public sphere, RWBY is known and liked precisely for that and largely that alone, period. Only RWBY fans who are already invested in the show will mention story or characters - for the majority of people, i.e. future RWBY fans, the action is the main selling point, and DGS clearly can deliver on this.
Dillon himself is at least amicable with most of CRWBY and likely open to negotiate with them given prior work history. For any other media corporation, consulting the old IP holders of a defunct company is a minor formality at best or even a laughable waste of time. And if you want to bring up a certain almost 10-year-old letter and the person working with Dillon who wrote it, there are plenty in the comments section who would agree with me that it's not as big a dealbreaker as one might think, given the company the letter largely condemned is well dead and buried. I won't go further into that matter.
DGS is very community-oriented - they're very intimately familiar with 3D animation and produces creator-friendly content like the Goo Engine which helps future animators inspired by RWBY to make similar anime-style 3D content. Every single RWBY fan animator whose work we enjoyed benefits from this acquisition - all of whom can grow into future animators for the series, intimately familiar with its trademark action style.
DGS is probably the only genuine fan of RWBY that has a remote chance of acquiring the IP with the express motivation of using the IP creatively. This can be clearly seen in the steady improvement of their animation content over the years and desire to push the medium. All other candidates are corporations whose motivations with RWBY are, more likely than not, going to be entirely financial (not necessarily a bad or unhealthy thing, but it's a factor).
If RWBY stays under WB or given off to Crunchyroll? They have no stake in RWBY beyond pure business. They have no interest in what's best for RWBY or its growth, only how it will be most profitable or recoup the losses from RT. The only companies I can see being more creatively invested in RWBY are ArcSystem Works who implemented RWBY in Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, or Shaft that animated Ice Queendom, but those are both Japanese companies unlikely to go all-in on a foreign IP - especially given that these studios usually adapt other IPs, not buy them outright.
DGS is invested in RWBY. Their entire studio's style is built on RWBY-esque action animation. Acquiring RWBY more or less guarantees it'll become their main flagship series and their main investment, whereas with WB, Crunchyroll or other big platform, RWBY is nowhere near prolific enough to be much more than another shelf-filler in their library. At worst, Warner archives RWBY for eternity and at best, they only bring RWBY out for tie-ins and crossovers to prop up their larger DC properties. Why give RWBY the spotlight when they own the likes of Justice League and Looney Tunes?
DGS may not be the most plausible choice, but it's clear that unless some big company like ArcSystem Works or something throws their hat in the RWBY ring, DGS is far and away the people's favourite, even gaining approval from JJ Grelle (Tyrian's VA), who quite notably refused to reprise their role for Rooster Teeth.
DGS is still very much an indie studio which IMO RWBY has flourished the most under, the time period where it retained a certain unpolished energy that made you invested in watching it improve and grow. I don't want to watch a RWBY that uses its precious time under a new studio to just go by the numbers and coast by on its existing fanbase. I want to watch a RWBY that grows, innovates and takes risks, that impresses and draws new and old fans in the way it does for every single person that has watched the Red Trailer for the first time.
I think a lot of folks have a preconceived notion that RWBY has to continue on the exact same production value as V9 left off, but that never had to be the case. I think a return to a much more subdued production with smaller teams focusing on strong individual episodes over large overarching narratives will be healthy for RWBY and more easily invite new fans, which it sorely needs if it wants to stay afloat this time around.
Whether this means a continuation to V10 or a reboot I don't know, but I know I'd rather take a RWBY that a new studio respects and will produce in a way that fits their strengths and limits, over trying and overreaching themselves to make something work that even Rooster Teeth failed to, or over no RWBY at all.
That's the crux of it: the worse alternative is no RWBY at all. CRWBY and especially us as a fandom are in no position to be picky when that's the alternative. There's no such thing as a perfect deal, but this is about as sweet as they come. If the only hurdle is WB's refusal to sell, then that's on Warner. If the only hurdle is affording the IP, I, many others and no doubt other associates Dillon Goo Studios knows are likely to help them meet that price.
I do wanna stress, despite my optimism, I'm not asking to stake all our hopes on DGS as the saviour of RWBY, god no - the last thing I want is a weirdo Monty 2.0 cult and I doubt Dillon would want that either. I'm not saying the RWBY they'd make will be perfect or be equitable for everyone either - some compromises must be made and professionally speaking, whoever owns RWBY next has no legal obligation to make V10 or bring back anyone from CRWBY. Any such action is solely on the graces of the new IP holder and at the end of the day, I think whatever creates a healthier, longer-lasting future for RWBY should take priority over our sentiment or attachment.
But as things stand right now, if DGS isn't just farming Twitter likes and is honest-to-god serious about acquiring RWBY, and no better candidate presents themselves, this is about the best option we have right now, and I myself will be ready to help and contribute in whatever little way I can. Because I know the very real alternative is either a complete gamble on yet another faceless media subsidiary, or watching RWBY rot behind a vault for the next decade or more.

How do you think superhero merch works in universe?
Like, they have secret identities so it’s not like they’re the ones benefiting off of it. Do companies just have a free for all and anyone can make Superman t shirts
Or do companies contract with the justice league for rights to make t shirts with superhero logos?
Or is it all like bootleg screen printed stuff anyone off the street can make and no actual corporate manufacturer would even touch it
They have secret identities so it’s not like they can have legally binding contracts with their own names
HOW DOES IT WORK

I live in Eastern Europe and I thought that it's never gonna happen yet here I am ugly crying (I am a grown ass, 26 years old woman with Master's degree in Psychology and a corporate job)
It is only 26 first episodes up to the 'Savage time" yet it is here and it is with my beloved Polish dubbing
IT'S STILL UNMATCHED IN QUALITY OF STORYTELLING AND SUBTLE HUMOR AND DYNAMICS BETWEEN CHARACTERS
