49 + 52!!🤍🤍
Oooooh thanks! <3 49) What are your language goals for 2021? - I have already sent an e-mail to volunteer on the radio months and months ago, but never actually plucked up the courage to reply. So might do that. Learn more Welsh and more Scottish Gaelic (and Manx?? Travel to Isle of Man?)... 52) What have been some of your favourite moments in learning a language? - Hands down my favourite thing is when you pass the B1 stage and slowly transition into B2 and you suddenly realise how effortless it is to actually form sentences or when you listen to something and you realise that you not only understand the gist, but also almost every word. It’s so rewarding and really fun! Send me a number!

when I made this blog? i’m on tumblr since 2011. but, this blog is about to do a month, i think.
reasons for the URL: my teacher in college once, walked into our table and said: "we must start a revolution and you all need nicknames". and then, he said my nickname must be rosa. then im a.k.a. rosa.

there's just something about it being late august, the sky being grey for days, contrasting with the still vibrantly green trees reminding me of summer. the sound of rain and cold breeze creeping in through the open windows, relicts of the warm evenings.

every sunday, i try to go on a walk with a friend / we met in the city, walked for a bit and found a super nice street with two bookshops and a closed café. and the continued to grab a coffee and a snack and walk some more along the elster canal into my favourite park. it was a beautiful day, topped with a bookshop visit and a game evening. thankful for what is now🤍

Bram Stoker - Dracula
// i love that classics are widely accessible and affordable, but they are also intimidating (if you've been stuck in the contemporary side of literature for so long like me). i decided to put Dracula on my spooky season TBR because i have never read it and knew the story very vaguely. and it really surprised me - i loved the storytelling, Stoker's style and the form as well.
Dracula was published in 1897 after Stoker spent years studying the folklore and myths, and it established and connected all those myths and fantastical elements surrounding vampires that have never appeared together concisely before (although there have been novels about vampires published before, e.g. by Goethe, Le Fanu, or Polidori). what really surprised me was the form - the story of Count Dracula is told through journal entries and letters of different characters that the reader gets to know gradually and thus offers a very complex picture and various points of view.
