The thing with alt tiktok to me is they’re just asinine about everything like you’ll have ppl in shein “goth” clothes being like “it’s about the MUSIC you don’t have to dress goth to be goth” and accuse you of being rich cuz you can afford to dress goth (therefore poser) to someone who’s been goth for like 20 years but then when you don’t dress in the most trad of trad goth suddenly the look is soooo important and you’re a poser. And don’t get me started on how tiktok thinks being alternative was just a 2020-2021 trend so now it’s been deemed cringe and now I have to be barked at in public when I’m minding my goth business
