“Mom! Dad! Oh, spirits, congratulations!”, Zuri said in excitement, looking at her new baby brother.
“Thank you, sweetie, but your mother did all the job, I was just here an-“
“Oh, shut it, Mheetu.” Tama interrumpted. “You were my support, like you always have been. And we, Hekaya and I, are greatful for it”.
“Mew!”
“Yeah! Don’t say that about yourself, dad.” Zuri sighed. “It has been already a long day already with the whole exile thing Simba did.”
“Exile?!”
“Yup. Remember that Outsider? Kovu? The one Kiara always gushed about? Apparently he wasn’t as innocent as he looked and attacked Simba. Ugh, I can’t believe Kiara fell in love with a Scar look-a-alike, how can she be so dumb?”
Mheetu and Tama looked at each other in worry, something that didn’t pass from Zuri’s sight.
“What?”
“Sweetie…” The old lioness started.
“Zuri, you remember who my father was, right?” Mheetu asked in aprehension.
“Yeah, it was Sc- oh!” Zuri lowered her head in shame. “I’m sorry! But… but, it’s not the same, dad! You decided to not be like Scar, this Kovu did!”
“Says who?” Tama eyes were stern.
“What? Why does it matter?”
“Because,” the male lion took a deep breathe “because the whole Pride did it with me.”
Zuri didn’t like where this was going.
“Why do you think we live here far from Priderock, Zuri?”
“I…be-because this cave is better looking than the royal den?”
Thunder started rolling as it feeling how heavy the conversation was.
“Because the Pridelanders thought your father was cursed by being Scar’s son.” Tama’s voice was as icy as the wind that entered the den.
Zuri gasped. “That’s ridiculous!
“When, when my fur started to grow these white patches,” Mheetu murmured, his voice filled with pain, “all the animals thought the spirits were sending a message. That since I was Scar’s direct descendant, I was going to spread a disease. They didn’t want me around, not even the old lionesses that knew my story.”
“That’s because those blazed elephants, specially Aminifu, kept telling everyone a story about how Queen Uru died just because she was Scar’s mother. Pure hyena shit, if you ask me, those superticious assholes.”
“Tama! Language!” Mheetu hissed
The lioness just rolled her eyes. “You know I’m right. And if it wasn’t for Nala and I interverning, I’m sure Simba would have felt for the pressure and exiled you.”
Zuri didn’t want to think anymore. Uncle Simba wasn’t that way. He let him be Kiara’s friend and future conselour! He wouldn’t do that if he didn’t trust her family.
Unless he wanted to keep an eye on them using her…
“So tell us, Zuri.” Zuri almost jumped when her mother called her name. “You said Kiara knows this Kovu better than anyone and she was the reason he stayed.”
“Yes…”
“And she is your best friend”.
“I mean, Tiifu and I are her best friends…”
“So who do think has a better judgement about him.” Tama continued. “Kiara? Or a paranoid lion who wouldn’t care about his own cousin?”
Before Zuri couldn’t reply, a load roar could be hear over the storm that was happening outside.
It was a roar Tama and Mheetu knew very well.
A roar of war.

I got asked who of Uru's descendants would inherit her vitiligo and it was Mheetu
And remember, the Pridelanders are superticious as hell. If they believed Kion's scar meant we was transforming in Scar, who said Mheetu wasnt to be treated worse?
Also this is my reason why they werent fighting in the second movie hehe
Hekaya means "remarkable ocurrence" in Swahili! And yes, he is based on the new green eyed cub

꧁⁕༻♕༺⁕꧂ "Uhhh, boss, the game is called 'kick the can', not 'kick the kitten'."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN??!!! I don't kick kittens!! I treat all of my kittens with nothing but love, respect and dignity!! I don't get coal in my stocking!! That's never happened before! I'm a good boy!"
He knows there's a joke here but he's choosing to keep his mouth shut for the king's sake. "Yeah...whatever, boss."
Honestly kind of burnt out on the Arle Arc so you're getting bullet points.
First off, the portal opening up in Bolero's throne room is due to the confrontation in Primp Town. The combination of Literally Everyone revealing that they've figured out there's something up with her, the Compile trio revealing they know she's Doppel, seeing Ava, and the continuing deterioration of her stability causes Arle to panic and reflexively use the portal command to go somewhere safe. The last place she felt safe was the castle, and her doubled Avatar power and poor mental state cause the portal to show up on the ground and Way Too Big, so everybody falls through.
This of course causes more stress and confusion instead of less, and she looks about two seconds away from a panic attack, when Peony manages to recognize her despite the different form and says "Dapple, is that you?"
And that's what breaks her
Her transformation spell goes haywire and she starts flickering between all the different Alternate Costumes that both Arles have gotten over the years, then it "settles" on some kind of massive, mismatched cat monster thing, and then she busts out of the castle and runs off into the wilderness, Ava, Carbuncle and Frenzy close behind and everyone else doing their best to catch up
Ambrosia picks a bad time to feel vindicated about Pierrot actually hiding something sinister (we gotta add humor in here somewhere), and Shantae deduces why exactly she turned into That Thing; shapeshifters, especially magic-based shapeshifters, absolutely have to maintain a strong sense of self or they'll lose themselves to the masks they wear, and during times of great stress and uncertainty the magic of a shapeshifter with a poor sense of self will try, and fail, to mesh all those different identities into a coherent whole
Anyway, Arle ends up running into a cave. But not just any cave; this is the Echo Chambers, one of the most dangerous locations in Harmonia (and an area intended for lategame in The Cloud's Songbird). It's a shifting labyrinth of enchanted, highly reflective crystals with weird acoustics, made more dangerous by the fact that Lumiere filled it with powerful monsters during the game's main campaign, and unlike most of his minions they didn't get any weaker or less numerous following his defeat
It's at this point that the big group realizes that Tama isn't with them, though they assume that she's still at Bolero's castle, while Frenzy discovers that she's actually hitched a ride in his quills because she wants to help Miss Arle. Or Miss Pierrott. Whichever she is. And she can indeed help, because she can hear Arle and give Frenzy directions towards her
The big group tries to figure out how exactly they're supposed to find Arle when she's lost in a magic maze, and Ash comes up with an idea; he sends out Jellobe and Kirlia (yes Ralts evolved at some point), because even as a Dark Type mutant Kirlia can still sense emotions, and since Jellobe knows Miracle Eye it can act as an amplifier for that empathic sense. Perfect for tracking somebody with That Much emotional turmoil
Ava and Caruncle don't need that sort of help because Ava always knows where Arle is since they're connected
As all this is happening Arle's now deep in the maze and manages to pull herself together into her Doppelganger Arle form, though with Dapple's ears and tail and normal Arle's weird sleeve things, and she ends up confronted by her own reflection.
A lot of her own reflection, all in different Alts, with the main one being a Shadow like the ones Meggy, SMG4 and Mario have had to deal with in the past
won't go into detail Because Bullet Points but it basically boils down to telling Doppel that all her attempts to be Arle were completely pointless and she's screwed herself over and may as well just be Nothing, and she ends up listening, which results in one more transformation. the colored parts of her outfit turn grey, her face disappears entirely, and she slumps down onto her knees in defeat while the chamber around her seals itself off from the rest of the maze
The main group gets stuck dealing with Lumiere's monsters, while Frenzy, Tama, Ava and Carbuncle reach the sealed entrance to Doppel's chamber
They then also get confronted by Shadow Arle, who tries to do more of the usual Shadow stuff to a completely unphased Ava, then agrees to open the way if they can beat her, a Pierrot reflection and a Dark Arle reflection
in a 4v3 puyo battle (she's being generous to the two noobs in the party by not bringing in a fourth reflection)
-they obviously manage to beat the Arles and make it through to Blank Arle, who everyone but Ava is shocked to see in that state
-Ava walks up to her, which actually prompts Arle to rapidly scooch away against the far wall and brace herself for an attack, because why wouldn't what's left of Arle want to retaliate after what Doppel did to her
-Ava is undeterred and keeps going up to her as if nothing happened...and holds its hand out, offering to help Blank Arle back up on her feet.
-There's some hesitation, but eventually Arle takes the offered hand, and after they stand up Ava actually pulls her into a hug, and despite the lack of a face it's clear from how badly she's shaking that she's started crying
-they're engulfed in blinding light, and when it clears Ava and Blank Arle have been replaced by Arle and Dapple, with Dapple now visibly and audibly sobbing uncontrollably and trying to say sorry through it while Arle just holds her and hums the same lullaby that Doppel had used to comfort her while she was fading
-the big group finally gets through the monsters and goes back to looking for the others, only for the small group to come to them
-In the aftermath it's revealed that Arle's now the one with all the Avatar Code, and Dapple is no longer an Avatar in any capacity (there's that permanent deactivation I mentioned. Note that at the time I never said death). Meanwhile Dapple apologizes to Bolero and Peony for deceiving them for so long, and says she understands if they never want to see her again...only for them to interrupt that train of thought by pulling her into their embrace, because they're just relieved she's alright now and want her to come home, and really that's what she wants too but didn't dare hope she'd get to do
-...she's definitely dropping that stupid accent now though
There's still so much to learn about Tomoya, but there's at least one thing Honey knows for certain: they have a weakness for adorable, fluffy little creatures... and, recently, she thinks she heard them mumbling something about bunnies. That's easy enough to work with!
Usagi manju, presented with several flavors to err on the side of caution: strawberry and white chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate, and matcha. Surely they'll be fond of at least one of the flavors presented, she reasons... and cuteness can make up for the rest... but, of course, there's one extra way to hedge her bets, and she happily takes it.
Nestled in amongst the batch of manju is a second, separate container: a clear round bubble containing one of those trendy, jiggly little milk-pudding kitties. just like their kitty cat!
Beneath a plum blossom tree, guarded from the late winter sunlight by the projected shadow, the ronin rests quietly so immersed in their own thoughts. Never did the current date crossed their mind nor did the sweetness in the air raise suspicion. For Tomoya this day was no different from the rest with nothing to give and nothing to get. A direct consequence of SOLITUDE they wrongfully have considered an advantage ( which, of course, ISN'T despite their stubbornness in the matter ). Again, THIS DAY was EXPECTED to BE and FEEL ORDINARY, and it would have gone that way if it wasn't because of a certain SOMEBODY.
❝ Honey, is there something you want to show me ? ❞ It hadn't taken them much to learn how to read the fellow blond like an open book. Her giddiness gave her away regularly and paired up with the fact that she had been gone for hours - one could effortlessly deduct that the fae was up to something.
What exactly ? It doesn't take a genius to know when she got the profile of someone that would INDULGE in the present festivities. Wouldn't be so out of character for her to go around giving gifts to everyone in the city; To friends, family ( a BUNNY family if their hypothesis was correct ), and a partner if she even had one. Honestly, everything about her pointed out that a celebration like this would be her favorite. So if Honey had been in the urban side of town while they were asleep, it meant that something HAD happened. Tomoya plays with the stick of hay in their mouth upon her arrival, standing fully up when the other giggled. ❝ C'mon, I already know you got something behind your back. Were you gifted something special ? ❞ They will let her show off, take it as part of the included services as her part-time samurai.
She pulls from behind her a gift worth of admiration ( and jealousy ) for those with a sweet spot for the cute and fluffy. Three different manjus shaped like bunnies spread across the dish. The shape made them arch an eyebrow, looking down at the woman. Was this another proof ? PERHAPS. They might take it as such. But going back to the dessert, each was of a different flavour and by the colors of it, they could deduce what they were about; First, white chocolate, not exactly their favorite considering how sweet it could get after the third bite ( little did they know that it had strawberries to mix it up, that's certainly an improvement ). Second, chocolate. Not so sure if it contained dark or semi-sweet but either would be better than the previous. Yes, Tomoya prefered their sweets mild. And third, MATCHA, a blessing to their PALATE. The kind of natural sweetness with a piece of bitterness, sometimes a bit grassy. THAT ONE had to be their favorite by far ( plus to imagine a viridescent rabbit got them chuckling ).
Round, cute and they could assume that undoubtedly delicious. If they had thought it couldn't get better then they were ABSOLUTELY wrong. The crown of this piece resided in that container and when Tomo gave it a closer look, a wiggly pudding cat-like treat presents before them. It is in this instant of realization that they let out a gasp as their violet hues widen up. This treat looking all so similar to the little miss sleeping in the branches of the tree. When Honey wiggles the plate with caution, the pudding moves - for a second looking as if it was dancing. This. . . THIS WAS PERFECT. The dot eyes, a white coating similar to her fur and those small jiggling from one side to another. The flavour didn't matter ( unless it was mint ) when something so cute could be possible ! Gods, it was embarrassing just how easy this could make them smile, even wider than hers to everyone's surprise.
The other hands it to her and the first they do is to give it a quick shake, getting once again that same wiggle. ❝ Honey this is- ! ❞ Whoever had gifted her this had an amazing taste. It's as if this was targeted to them, as if this was meant to no one other than . . .
❝ Wait. . . . IS THIS FOR ME ? ! ❞
Who is the smartest between the two ? At this point, no idea. It took them this much to FIGURE IT OUT by themselves. Their mouth suddenly felt dried and a burning sensation grows in their features. Their gaze shifts from her then back to the treat and again, to HER. Honey didn't have to do any of this yet she did . . . Could it be that she planned this all along ? Was that the reason she told them to wait here ? It does make sense now . . .THAT CLEVER LITTLE RABBIT ( not a rabbit ) ! ! !
They don't know how to reply to this. It's no secret that they aren't USED TO receiving gifts. But the words that came out first felt right to say. Although impossible to keep it for long, they will make every bite count the effort she put in it. ❝ This. . . this is LOVELY. . . THANK YOU. ❞
I think after a pretty tragic loss the original pridelanders wouldn’t be too keen to start a fight with the former outsiders. I also think Kiara would end up a teen mom after the upendi song (ironic since she was “allegedly”conceived during the can you feel the love song). I head cannon that Vitani doesn’t really talk that often so when she does her voice is pretty scratchy and others tend to listen, she’s got a weird charisma like that. Also I’m figuring out what I wanna do with Kion and the guard. Right now Kovu hasn’t been coronated yet so word hasn’t gotten to other kingdoms.
"Aaron Henare you big pile of dogshit! Yeah, you wanna talk about being a man, writing a book about testosterone and how to be a fucking man, grow some fucking hair first before you come and talk to me about being a man!"
