#like not everything is superhero vs villian

modern media literacy is so cooked like what do you mean you gave saltburn a .5 star rating because it wasn’t the class consciousness film you wanted that’s not what the fucking movie is about… ‘they made it hard to keep rooting for him and identifying with him’ idk maybe don’t project onto every character in media you come across & then get scared when they act in a way you wouldn’t

Whilst I'm at it, if the cast decided to write fanfiction, would they write, what tropes would they be fond of and who would be writing the filthiest and freakiest of smut you can think of.
Ok so assuming everyone had to write one and they couldn't say no this is what I came up with
Tumblr media
Takemichi- superhero fic, very cliche, follows pretty much every trope. It's dedicated to Hina too (she loved reading it). It's probably got something to do with a 4 leaf clover in the name.
Mikey- Writes fic about Taiyaki kun being the hero, probably a long adventure type story, taiyaki kun rides a motorbike at one point, it's a wild read.
Draken- He'd likely be very big on the found family trope, you just know his fic would be about some rag tag group coming together and bonding to the point of becoming family (the villian is probably based on Hanma).
Hina- oh definitely romance, the hero saves the girl, the girl saves the hero. She just writes the perfect couple and then overcoming any obstacles together in their way.
Emma- Romance #2, she writes the cutest fluff you can think of.
Naoto- Probably a horror mystery with plenty of occult themes and references. He looks key really enjoys writing it so it's probably a long multiple chapter fic, with a bunch of people following it.
Kisaki- Story about the hero however with a major plot twist towards the end showing the hero was actually the bad guy. It's actually very well done and clever despite how cliche it may sound.
Hanma- ok I see two possible ones here, either he takes it seriously and writes one of the most interesting fics ever (hey he knows whats exciting and what makes a good story) or he absolutely does not take this seriously and writes the smuttiest smut to have ever smutted and attempts to annoy the others with it.
Kazutora- i think he might do something a bit different and write it in letter format, as in character's sending letter's to each other. Letter's probably mean a lot to him and he's likely the most comfortable writing in that format so he uses it in his fics.
Baji- Cat story!!!!! There's definitely some kind of big cat fight scene (baji can't resist) but ultimately it's a happy story. He probably also makes a few spelling errors but it's ok since Chifuyu helps him correct anything.
Chifuyu- Was tempted by Baji's cat story but settles on a person romance instead. It is full of manga references and the girl eventually kisses the guy after he gave her a polkadot based surprise. Probably a soul mate au.
Mitsuya- very detailed fic, like expect everything to have every last detail described (especially people's clothes).
Hakkai- space story! Probably a self insert about him going to space and being a hero (when he comes back mitsuya is incredibly proud of him).
Pah & Peh- They do everything together including fic writing. Definitely a story about two friends (them two), is a happy story about these two friends vs the world.
Smiley- fights, fights and more fights, everyone just wants to beef each other here.
Angry- I think he would write am interactive type fic, like the type where people comment and choose what they want to happen next, I just think he'd enjoy the interactions with people.
Mucho- coffee shop/ bakery au! Actually probably writes about his friends working there, izana is the manager, kakucho the assistant manager, sanzu is a loyal customer, mucho himself prepares the cakes, the Haitani brother's face the customers, mochi handles the drive thru and shion is the dishwasher who keeps breaking things.
Sanzu- definitely a royalty au about a king and his loyal soldier.
Inui- probably heavily use the miscommunication causes the main issue trope, he's seen it irl and knows it really can cause a bunch of problems.
Koko- probably a fix it fic, writes about a fire but this time no one dies, the girl gets saved and ends up happily living with her rescuer. This is probably actually something he uses to work through his regrets.
Yuzuha- a cute fic about a sister protecting her brother, she probably beats all the bad guys easily (and the brother's phone lockscreen is of the sister)
Izana & Kakucho- they work together to make another royalty au but this one focusing on the king and his kingdom, the story of this king creating his new world.
Ran- oh definitely a very obvious self insert story. The main character? Flawless hair, everyone loves him, has a little brother who adores him, dresses famously, treated like a celebrity. The guys name is probably like nar or something. Just basically his perfect life, tries to make it very poetic too.
Rindou- probably actually a song fic, the type with lyrics to match the mood. He just expresses himself a lot through music so brings it into his writing too.
Shion- another one with a self insert fic, this one really does go over the top though. Writes himself to practically conquer the world, winning every fight he gets into.
Senju- Probably a fun adventure fic, I think she would also be pretty big on it being a family adventure/ a found family adventure.
Wakasa- ok idk exactly why but he gives me those text fic vibes, where two characters are texting each other. I feel like he'd actually kinda unexpectedly enjoying making it too.
Benkei- Another fic very high on the action, a lot of fights, the characters are likely based on the 1st gen Black dragons.
Shinichiro- Say's he's going to write smut but then gets too embarrassed and ends up with fluff instead.
South- ok I think he'd also write a kinda lyric fic but instead of lyrics he'd just straight up put musical notes down. He's just so passionate about it and doesn't really care if others don't understand what those mean (he'd passionately explain it to anyone who asked though)

trying to follow gravik's plan makes me feel like i need to ascend to a higher level of thinking, because gravik has absolutely no idea what is going on. I have tracked his motivations through every episode with meticulous note-taking as I've watched this series and um. boys. It's not looking good.
Here's just a few in episodes 1-5:
We need to put the skrulls in normal society
we need to attack russia
we need to have rhodey spend the entire episode making sure that we all know it wasn't america/fury who attacked russia, after all the work we put into making sure russia thought it was america
we need to have England nuke america
we need to start wwlll
we need to kill the US president
we need to kill fury even though he's done exactly 0 things to stop our plans (and if Gravik actually stopped tipping him off to everything, he wouldn't be able to stop them)
we need to kill fury's wife for "insubordination"
we need to BLOW UP THE SKRULLS
we REALLY REALLY need this superhero dna bottle :( :( Fury made me collect it after a war and it made me sad. I want it back.
The very funny part to me is watching Gravik justify killing so many people because he needs to "keep his plans secret" and like. ??? You don't even need to kill anyone. Cause like. Your plans are not consistent. you have no idea what's going on and neither do i.
VS other villians in MCU:
Wanda, MOM: I need to get back my kids, it's the only way i'll be happy.
Thanos, all of the infinty saga: I need to collect the infinty stones so I can snap half the universe away and save it from poverty
Loki, the Avengers: I have to take over earth in order to feel like my life has any meaning. If I'm not a ruler, I'm not anything.
Killmonger, Black Panther: I have to burn Wakanda to the ground because of what they did to my father. They broke me. They didn't care, so why should I?
Gravik, Secret Invasion:
I think this is a longwinded revenge plot against Fury that Gravik is covering in a equality fight, but idk. guess we'll see episode 6.

I feel like Wally and Barry superspeed stress clean/organizing when they don't want to deal with anyone or are avoiding a situation. Kinda like how speedsters go into Flash Time or whatever it's called when they're panicking or trying to hide their feelings from their friends.
I see it being similar to the Young Justice comics (at least I think it was YJ, but correct me if I'm wrong) where Bart went into Flash Time ignored the other members of the Core Four when they came to see him, and was just... reading all the books in the library. Like my dude was so fast, they couldn't see him. You can get a better understanding of it from this post by @givemewallywestorgivemedeath where they have specific comic panels showing just how bad speedsters are at healthy coping.
Like imagine for a second that they do this. Barry Allen, at least my understanding of him which is partially based off a lot of headcanons (and projection but shush), is fairly organized. I think back to one of the animated comics (which might not be canon, I'm not sure but I liked the story) from a couple years ago, where he'd just come back to his job as a forensic scientist and was shoved into the archives for a while to organize everything. He seemed happy doing it, even using a little superspeed to hurry along the process. And I feel like a forensic scientist has to be somewhat organized and clean if they want to keep all the facts of a crime straight. I know it's a fandom (I think) interpretation that Barry takes cases when he's stressed to keep his mind off things, but imgaine him, when he's alone in the house and can't rant to Iris for whatever reason, he just goes full malewife mode and obsessively does a deep clean of the house, going as far as to reorganize the plates and glasses in the cupboards and taking meticulous care that it looks comepletly imacculate. Once he's done, he's probably hungry so he cooks himself a meal. He then has to put everything back in exactly the same way. Then he looks at the time, and knows Iris should be home soon, and speedruns setting up a romantic little date for the two of them.
And then Wally. There is no doubt in my mind that the man compartmentalizes everything. In the comics I don't think he's all that neurotic, but I still feel like everything has a place in his mind, however odd it might be. Especially when he was younger with the fab five. There was home, where he had to be quiet and obedient or else fear for his safety at the hands of his father, and his "job," if you can call it that, where he's a quippy extroverted kid. When he grows up, I think it starts applying more to time periods in his life than aspects of his present life. Most of it would be due to the overlap between his personal and superhero life, so it would be near impossible to seperate the two at this point. I mean, the guy works for his Justice League coworker when their both civilians, and one of his best friends, who used to be a super villian, works in the same building. Instead of a here and there situation, it would be a before and after. Before and after he got his powers, before and after he met Linda, before and after escaping the speedforce, and so on.
This might just be me projecting, but sometimes organizing or cleaning in one area of my life, can help make sure I can seperate everything evenly (for lack of a better word), and I can definetly see Wally doing the same, happening mostly before he got trapped in the speedforce when it was there vs here, but occasionally now when he gets overwhelmed. Sometimes when he stayed with the titans, they'd walk into the kitchen to see it comepletely reorganized. Sometimes Barry or Iris would visit him and see his room looking like it was a memorial rather than a 14-year-old's room that was actively lived in. As an adult he reorganizes and painstakingly cleans everything. Kids left their toys out? What are you talking about, they're neatly put in the bins like they should be. Stains on some the the clothes? Might as well do all the laundry. Oh, and don't forget to perfectly fold, match, and put them all away. Finished some leftovers and needs to clean the tupperware? No problem, while he's at it, he'll match the lids by size and reorganize the plates and bowls to save more room. Sometimes he completely changes the wat something is normally put away and leaves detailed notes to everyone who might, who just maybe, might have the slimmest possibility of being affected, telling them where he put everything.
Are they legible? Perhaps, on a good day. Probably not. It entirely depends on how he decided to write said notes. Did he decide to bullet point everything, skipping lines for each new point for visibility, or did he decide to write it like a fanfiction author who has never heard of an enter key? Does he use proper punctuation and grammar, or does he write like a seven year old during English? Is the handwriting even readable or is it just chickenscratch that only a pharmascist can read? Who knows? Wally West does what the vibes demand, and right now the vibes demand dyslexics to suffer! Or that a speedster halfway across the world responding to his stress and just perked up like a cat who has been awoken from a nap? Who knows? Not him! It's probably fine.
It was, in fact, not fine, as Linda broke into her own house instead of using her keys and speed talked at Wally to make sure her husband was okay. She then smacks him upside the head for making her worry so much.

Hii oc ask game. 11 & 12?
sorry it took me a few days to answer this! since you didnt specify a character i'll answer this for a few of my favorites :D (adding a readmore too bc this got a bit long)
11 - What are they? Are they human? What is their species?
buddy: they're a spiderperson (literal, not a superhero)! they may be like 12 years old but theyre almost 8 feet tall for funny number reasons
kim: avian woman. shes got big wings and the shoulders to match those. also earwings bc theyre very cute and fun. shes meant to be based off the hooded crow but her wings are purple instead of gray bc it fits her general color scheme better
charles: this ones just a guy he just cant die
blazegirl: fucked up practically a demigod catgirl who eats people for funsies. oldest oc i still have my belovedest
most of my other ocs are just human (hibiki, ayano, saaya, and their associates) or have significance to a project i want to work on someday that i dont want to post about them online too much at this point in time (pilli, sei, gam, and their associates)!
12 - What are they pt 2! Are they a protagonist in the story? A villian? A hero?
buddy, kim, charles: all of them are actually RP characters so they dont really have these qualities of hero vs villain or protagonist! they just do what they think is right, which has not always been the right thing (gestures at like. everything about kim before the story reboot)
blazegirl: oh this girl is the hero of her own story and a villain of her victims' ones. she just kills and maims and has like zero remorse about it, and because she has literal plot armor she cant be held accountable for any of it. she could mellow out a bit and go on a more normal diet with less human on it if she hung out more with normal people like hibiki and ayano
hibiki & ayano: hibikis always had a more central role in their story so i guess hes the Main protagonist while ayanos the side protagonist. their story has gotten far less intense over the years and went from Dramatic Crime Thriller to like. a casual romance manga. with some crime undertones. think the way of the househusband
unnamed tenant: this person is a protagonist and i guess a hero of their own story that i came up with after talking to a friend about how annoyed i was about a current tumblr trend. still working on their story but i am already very invested and might actually try to make it into a game someday

Informal wip intro
Tumblr media
TITLE: Rivers of Stars (3nd version)
GENRE: urban fantasy, superheroes, beginning dystopia, thriller
SETTING: alternate modern times
TROPES AND THEMES: enemies to friends, undercover agents, gang wars, superheroes, found family, bromance, magic mentors, enjoyment vs usefulness, people vs ideals, honesty vs consideration, vulneribility vs pride, propaganda, brainwashing, manipulation
STORY: When the workaholic professional superhero tries to save a powerful but naive teenager from a villianous gang, he slowly uncovers a bigger conspiracy to turn people against their own magic to cause mass panic and supressive measures. He will not only need to win the kid’s trust, but also learn to rely on his estranged friends if he is to get through this with a sound mind.
THE CHARACTERS:
Alistair Nicholson, 25, Blood magic, laid-back but evasive. Cheerful the more painful it gets, which is a lot. Honesty is ugly and pretty lies are the biggest courtesy one can give to people. Uses his blood magic for superhero work despite it’s bad reputation. Badger snake
Raymond "Ray" Calloway, 25, Air magic, tough and temperamental but fair, he likes to act on what he feels and call things as they are, with sarcasm and insulting humor. Daredevil who likes to challenge, pick fights, risk chases, but mainly to enjoy life and stand up for what he beliefs in. Quick to care and devote himself to others. Works undercover as a villian. Snake lion
Solace “Sol” Vlckova, 23, Water magic, shy but headstrong, chasing inspiration but hates letting go of control. Her magic allows her to track things from great distances, making her a bit too removed from the real world. Advocates for magic use outside of superhero work and teaches about it at university.  Lion bird
Jason “Jace” Wicks, 16, Gravity magic, ambitious but devoted, his drive for excellence and power often mislead people from seeing his true desire to belong and be needed. Loyal to a fault, brush and temperamental, he would really like to be able to trust others again. Badger lion
Kaden Crawford, 25, Lightning magic, uptight but nurturing, believes in strict coldness to make people resilient. Means well, even if he glares a lot. Dilligent and disciplined, few people stand him long enough to meet his caring side. Alistair’s roomate and collegue. Bird badger
PLOT AND KETTLE: A world where magical abilities are common and being a superhero is a wide-spread profession. Alistair works at a security agency as a superhero. His only equal in magic, Creative mage Solace, teaches at university about magic as art, which Alistair finds a waste. Kaden can’t get their friend group reconciled until Jace shows up, needy and lost, with loyalties to the wrong people and used as a tool and maybe a key to all of their broken locks. And that’s all before a really rude and stuborn maybe villian maybe hero makes everything even more confusing.
STUFF THAT IS NIFTY: Action mages of lightning, fire and space-time manipulation channel magic through themselves and physical activity while Creative mages of water, air and earth resonate with magic through different mediums, called upon through singing, meditation and poetry. These two types are quite disdainfull of each other.
STATUS CHECK: outlining, zero-drafting in Writober
LINKS:
First version - epic fantasy
Second version - urban fantasy

Magic system
EXCERPTS:
Leave them underground - Jace facing the new dystopian society around him

MORGAN WRITES...A MASTER POST
Tumblr media
I kept telling myself I’d get around to making a huge post to pin to the top of my page, and I’M FINALLY DOING IT!
So here it is: A comprehensive list of everything you can expect from me and this blog! Including plenty/too many graphics...?!
But first, an introduction.
So, hi! My name here on the internet is Morgan, and anything I publish (someday far in the future) will be under the moniker Morgan Faire. My pronouns are They/Them, and I am Genderqueer. I’m a perpetually 20-something year old human living in The UK, specifically South East England.
As cliche as it sounds, I’ve always been a voracious reader and writer. I’ve been writing stories for as long as I can remember, and I think my earliest pieces were probably self-inserts into a certain School of Magic, and the world of Pocket Monsters!
If you’d like to know more about my current projects, click the button to keep reading! Tag lists for all these projects are open, so please let me know if you’d like to be added.
Tumblr media
Though I’ve not really posting too much recently, I have been hard at work reviving some Original Projects that I’d like to spend some more time on this year and the years to come. I find it almost impossible to focus on just one thing at a time, so there’s....a few.
Tumblr media
THE CURSED FOREST.
Genre(s): Young Adult Gothic Fantasy. Summary: Orphaned at a young age, Beau lives for revenge against the monster that terrorises the local villages, but a strange encounter with a Nymph takes them both on a much darker path. Themes: Good vs Evil, Magic, Inner Conflict, ‘Save the World’, Found Family, LGBTQIA+, more TBC. POV: Third Person Limited.
Excerpt: ‘Magic’ is a term used for anything that cannot otherwise be explained by the common person. I, however, am not a common person. I am not one to boast, but my grasp on the magic that exists in this world may even be stronger than that of the magical creatures -- the dryads, nymphs and satyrs -- that live in The Forest. I am the Wizard of The Forest, and I have found a solution to the problem called Death.
Tumblr media
SPLIT THE SKY.
Genre(s): New Adult Fantasy Thriller. Summary: In this world, there are humans, and there are Others. Themes: Magical creatures, Conflict, Hatred, ‘Who is the true Monster?’, Found Family, & more TBC. POV: Limited Third Person.
Excerpt: Our world has already been saved once by a band of Dragons, Angels, Demons and Devils. And, yes, there is a rather large difference between those last two. I was not being superfluous for the sake of it.
Tumblr media
THE MONK.
Genre(s): New Adult Urban Fantasy Thriller
Summary: On the Island City of Moate, there was an explosion. If the fires didn’t reach you, the gas almost definitely did.
Themes: Magic, Conflict, Hatred, Superheroes, Heroes vs Villians, Secret Society, LGBTQIA+, Female-centric cast, WLW, & more.
POV: Cycling First Person.
Excerpt: It was one of those days where the weather didn’t match the mood -- do you know what I mean? The sun was shining and the sky was free of clouds, but there was a darkness in the air of Moate. I don’t know if everyone felt it, but we did.
Tumblr media
PROJECT: MAGIC.
Genre(s): New Adult Fantasy
Summary: In the Academic Capital of Kinodenn, there is one scholar who believes in the existence of Magic. The Royal Academy humours her obsession -- for now.
Themes: Magic, Nature, Inner Conflict, Turmoil, Magic vs Science, Female Solidarity, Female-lead, Adventure, LGBTQIA+, & more.
POV: Cycling First Person.
Excerpt: As with each of my previous proposals, I am suggesting here that everything has a reason for being drawn, written, or created. My current theory is this: It knows how to hide, or at the very least, it hides when one goes looking for it.
Tumblr media
WINGS OF FATE.
Genre(s): New Adult High Fantasy.
Summary: Wearing nothing but moonlight and starshine, holding nothing but his mother’s feather, Jaispur leaps from the mountain edge. To live, he must discover his true form and fly. Failure is a death sentence. His siblings all failed.
Themes: Secluded Community, Survival, Magic, Druidism, Fate, LGBTQIA+, Adventure, Tragedy, Nature, Group above Individual, Power Structures, Fall from Grace, & more.
POV: Third Person Limited. Various characters.
Excerpt: Her hope is gone. Her family wants her to focus on her training, and on finding a mate. They didn’t understand. She had already found her mate. And lost her.
Tumblr media
If you made it this far, thank you!
And as crazy as it may make me seem, I also plan on writing & posting more fanfiction this year! I currently create content for just one fandom (BLEACH), but I’m looking to broaden my horizons...
I post everything on my AO3!

Series #5! (19 out of 35)
Tumblr media
When Renegades first dropped, I don’t know what I loved more, the cover or the premise. I won’t say I’m a huge superhero nerd, but I’ve definitely found myself more interested in pop culture surrounding the topic. However, I think this is the first series I’ve read where people just have powers; there’s no magic (arguably) or sickness or aliens that gives people their powers.
Summary: The Renegades are a syndicate of prodigies/superheroes who emerged to bring peace back to a crumbling society. The Renegades started off as a party of six (I think?) who did what they deemed necessary to bring peace back into a time where chaos reigned. Once the villains were defeated, over the course of a decade, the Renegades expand worldwide, a Council consisting of the original six is formed, and a code of authority is established for all Renegades to follow in order to ensure the safety of civilians and that society doesn’t succumb to villainous rule again. However, despite what the Council thinks, the code of authority isn’t full proof and our main characters Adrian and Nova, in separate ways end up taking matters into their own hands to show what happens when an idea is not subject to change.
Not that there’s not a lot to say, but gonna try to keep this brief. Some things to love about this series: 1. Diverse cast of characters: Adrian and Nova are people of color. Adrian is black and Nova is half Filipino, half Italian. Oscar, a supporting lead, is Hispanic, and Adrian’s adopted fathers and Council members, Hugh (Captain Chromium) and Simon (Dread Warden), who are also two of the most famous superheroes in the world, are gay.
2. The series explores different facets of heroics vs. villianism.        A. Most pop culture surrounding superheroes and villains tells the story for the heroes perspective, but the Renegades trilogy tells the story from both which opens up the question of: Are villains really bad people? Or are they just people trying to get by anyway they can in a society that has labeled them as such?
       B. It explores the idea of heroes not necessarily being heroic/what truly makes a hero. There’s a team of Renegades who so clearly abuse the power they’ve been given to the point of murder but only in situations where they believe they’re not being watched. Despite their tactics being called into question, because they produce results, they’re not sidelined or re-evaluated.
       C. The series also explores that what’s right and what’s wrong is not always black and white. Nova and Captain Chromium have a conversation about capital punishment with Nova arguing that what once made someone a villain doesn’t necessarily make them one now - that people can change. Her argument being based on personal experience while Hugh’s pretty much like, “Once a villain, always a villain.”
3. Meyer came up with some cool ass superpowers. Adrian has the ability to bring anything he draws to life, though there are stipulations. Ruby, another supporting lead and member of Adrian’s team, has the ability to turn her blood into a crystallized weapon. On the villain-y side, there was Narcissa who could travel through mirrors, and Ingrid who could create and detonate bombs at will.
4. There’s a funny/frustrating love/hate square going on between Adrian and Nova, that if explored further, could probably give Miraculous Ladybug a run for its money.
5. It has the realistic aspect that not everyone survives a war and that all decisions have consequences.
6. AND there’s a cliffhanger at the end of the last book that I sincerely hope gets explored more, whether in a series of it’s own or a novella or something.
Overall, an all around enjoyably good read. I felt like there were a few parts that dragged a little, but would still give it a solid 4.5 out 5. Marissa Meyer has never disappointed, and I’ll continue to read everything she puts out til the day I die.

1. Marriage Story- Never seen a film that did marriage and divorce so well.
2. Avengers Endgame- A almost perfect climax to a great saga.
3. JoJo Rabbit- Such a charming film especially considering the topic.
4. The Last Black Man in San Francisco- A underrated gem with great performances on a unique story.
5. 1917- The gimmick was needed to let you feel what it's like to go through war and how it never feels like it ends.
6. Uncut Gems- This movie is stressful. Also while I think Sandler was very good I don't think he should have won a Oscar for this but maybe nominated.
7. The Irishman- A great reminder of great actors and a great director. Might be the last time we see them this great.
8. Spider-Man: Far From Home- Didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Mainly cause of the great villian.
9. Toy Story 4- This was probably the funniest of the Toy Story series but probably the one with the least amount of emotion.
10. Shazam- One of the best family films of the year.
11. Rocketman- A wonderful music video tribute to one of the best!
12. Parasite- A good message for a crazy story that you don't know where it's going.
13. Us- Wonderful performance by Lupita makes this Twlight Zone episode worth watching.
14. The Lighthouse- Great performances and good atmosphere. Felt like I would have liked it more if it wasn't for the hype.
15. Midsommar- A bit disappointing considering how much I loved Hereditary but still good even though the story was predictable.
16. Missing Link- Underrated with its beatufiul animation and cute story.
17. Knives Out- The story is kind of a mess but the actors are having fun and it's a pretty fun movie for the most part.
18. John Wick 3- Feels similar to the first two but hooks you in the more you watch making it one of the best action trilogies.
19. Little Woman- A good story and film but I'm not so sure it needed to be told again.
20. Honey Boy- Can we all admit that Shia can act now?
21. Steven Universe The Movie- The show is better but the villian in this is sooo good.
22. Captain Marvel- Fun superhero story that people was too harsh to.
23. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood- Feel like Quentin ego and foot fetish hurts it but still a fun movie.
24. Bombshell- A important topic with good performances but felt it could have been done better.
25. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part- It's not as good as the first but still fun and worth watching.
26. Joker- I mean Joaquin did do a great performance but he has done better and the story was a bit ehh. Possibly the most overrated movie of the year.
27. How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World: Beatufiul animation but the story and villian are lackluster.
28. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood- Worth it for Tom Hanks performance but the cliche story almost ruined it.
29. Fyre Fraud- A good story to tell that was told the right way.
30. Judy- Felt this could have been done way better if they focused on her childhood more but Renee is still good.
31. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark- Kind of underrated but had a disappointing ending and some bad CGI.
32. Always Be My Maybe- Has one of the best cameos ever.
33. Doctor Sleep- Two scenes save this from being okay or bad but the rest of it is ehhhhhh.
34. Fighting With My Family- A cute story but feel like it could have been better if they told the real story instead of making up 40% of it.
35. Batman Hush- I think it's better than people say and didn't mind the change of the original but still kind of forgettable.
36. Detective Pikachu- Cuteness makes this one of the best video game movies of all time which doesn't say much.
37. Booksmart- Felt this should have been better but used the same tropes as most coming of age films do.
38. Yesterday- A cute story done in a unique way but nothing groundbreaking.
39. Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile- The performance of Zach doesn't save it cause the story seems misdirected on what it wants to tell.
40. Glass- It's dumb and Bruce Willis is barely acting in this but still fun and a nice end even though some of it doesn't make sense.
41. Alita: Battle Angel: A good life action anime with a terrible love story in it.
42. Lion King- Was it pointless and way worse than the original? Yes but it was still pretty impressive to look at.
43. Childs Play- A unique way to tell the story but not sure it needed to be retold.
44. It Chapter Two- Wasn't really scary and kind of dumb except the birth mark part. But Bill Hader is sooo good in this!
45. Frozen 2- Probably the most disappointing film of the year. The story was a mess and borderline insulting to the original.
46. Dark Phoenix- The last action scene almost saved it but everything else was pretty bad.
47. Justice League vs. The Fatal Five- Everything is fine with this film except the Fatal Five. They were pretty boring.
48. Aladdin- Will Smith and Mena had good chemistry but still a pointless remake of a great film.
49. Beach Bum- Matthew does a fine performance but his character does something so bad and the film just treats it like whatever.
50. Pet Sematary- A pointless reboot of a great story. This takes everything great about it and makes it bland.
51. Culture Shock- A cliche Twlight Zone wannabe that had potenial but was disappointing.
52. Godzilla: King of the Monsters- The human characters were soooo bad but hey the monster fights were kind of fun
53. Wonder Woman Bloodlines- The beginning is pretty awful considering how they rushed it but the villian at the end nearly saves it.
54. Brightburn- How do you make such a lazy cliche film on such a interesting topic?
55. Dumbo- Dumbo was cute but everything else was pretty bad. WTF happened to you Tim Burton?
56. Reign Of Superman- Just as dumb as the comic.
57. Escape Room- Just as dumb as it sounds and predictable.
58. Happy Death Day 2U- Just because you're self aware how dumb this is doesn't make it any less dumb.

Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Tumblr media
Captain America (3) Civil War
The first time I watched this in the theatre, I didn't like it as much; I found the ending especially anticlimactic. Knowing what we do now about what was to follow in terms of MCU plotlines, I like this a lot more.
Forwarning, you *need* to watch CA2 and Avengers 2 to understand this one.
In a nutshell, instead of trying to make each film more bombastic, Marvel decided while this would have that signature Marvel action-comedy, the ending was going to be more about brains vs brawn. How to take down the most powerful team on the planet? Turn them against one another.
Similar in concept to Batman v Superman, except everything in *this* film made sense, with realistic emotional reactions. This film, more than any other, shows realistic superhero consequences. And while that is interesting, this isn't Star Trek: we go to these films to be entertained, not to kickstart philisophical debate.
Fortunately, it also offers plenty of action, including a taste of Black Panther to come.
As this is more of a brain vs brawns tale, the villian (Zimo) wanting simple vengeance made for a slightly underwhelming antagonist; I would've liked an even more sympathetic villian.
I also found it a bit of a gaffe when Zimo was torturing his first victim by hanging him upside down and drowing him in a large utility sink... except that the moment the water overflows the sink, you can clearly see the victim's nostrils are *above* the waterline, which means that the water can never drown him (remember, upside-down, his mouth is well above his nose). Oops.
But this film is jam packed with easily missable details; without spoiling them, you'll need to watch this at least twice. I will say the "talking to my aunt on the phone" from CA2 pays off here. It's so dense that it felt like it should've been Avengers 3.
This is a smart, action packed film, with a clever ending. But it wasn't the pure joy of Avengers1, GotG, Thor 3. Luckily there's something here for everybody. Including Spiderman's awesome introduction to the MCU.
A-, 8.9/10
YMMV: if you were also expecting a more action packed ending, you'll be slightly disappointed as well. On the other hand, if you're all about intelligent twist endings, you'll like this even more. Avoid spoilers.
That look of heartbreak on RDJ after the misfire.
3d: Really good 3d. Everything has depth and layers, and truly pops out, while still sharply defined 2d and 3d focus.
8.5/10 Theatres (Real 3d), 9.5/10 at home

IAL #36 My VLD S6 review + My Predictions for S7
Hey hello guys welcome to another Sunday and so it’s been a week since s6 of voltron dropped and literally the fandom is dead. If you are from my writing blog my author name is Tidus S. Queen but on my personal account I am Kat. I am going to be telling my opinions about this season and how good and amazing it was
Disclaimer: these are just are my options please respect them if you don't care just dont read the post and have a nice day. I am also giving 0 hate to ships this is just my views/take on the latest season.
Because I am way to obsessed for this show I rewatched S3 to S5 before the season dropped so I knew everything for this season.
Tumblr media
My thoughts on Lotor:
S5 cliffhanger was Lotor and Allura going to the Altean world called Oriande to learn more about altean alchemy. Then we learned about lort how he is literally a space indiana jones and zarkon was a prick as a father to him and you feel bad for him. I’m gonna state right now I NEVER TRUSTED NO MATTER HOW HOT HE IS. The first time we meet the prince lotor is in S3 when he literally was teasing the paladins and to see if they can become voltron, but they can't because we lost shiro in the astral plane and he died in the s2 finale. So yeah thanks dreamworks for hurting me in the feels.
One more thing I wanted to point out Dos Santos one of the co-executive producer said that lotor was gonna be like a “justice league villain” in an article and as someone who loves superhero and villains I knew lotor was going in to help voltron with a bigger ulterior motive and once he got it the quintessence he literally played himself because he actually had real feelings for allura but we then learn this season that he killed f the alteans hw saved to get more enriched quintessence. Do i Feel he is not dead? Nope we saw no body therefore there is a total possibility we are going to see lotor in future seasons . Do we think he get a redemption arc like zuko? Maybe there are a lot of possibilities
Tumblr media
My thoughts on Allura and Lance :
Another character I want to talk about is Allura guys I felt for A llura for this season so much because she literally got played by lotor all allura wants to do is see her people and altea again. We know that Allura loves her people and her dad and she lost her planet to the galra since the very beginning of this show. The question I have been seeing non-stop is that do you think Allura is using Lance as a rebound ? NO NO NO Allura will never do that to Lance ,and Lance respects her too much to be a douche to her he cares about her he is protective friend ( i don’t blame him} . lance did get friendzone this season yes but he is not gonna be a douche to Allura because he got friendzone. Lance has manners and respect Allura. I love their platonic friendship in my views. If you ship them romantically I respect you
A lot of people are hating on dreamworks for pushing Lance over this season. Hello hi people who are thinking that that is how the vld staff and created story tell the characters arcs in this show. Do I want lance to be happy? hell yess. But Lance can’t just get random happiness as a writer and creator of any story you have to make characters suffer in order to make them grow in a story. I know personally think they are setting up Lance's arc for that reason .In my eyes lance and allura friendship are going to get stronger as the seasons progress.
Tumblr media
My thoughts on Keith: FINALLY FINALLY WE GET THE ORIGIN STORY OF KEITH’S PARENTS AND HIM AHH IM SO HAPPY THANK THANK YOU DREAMWORKS. Also keith has matured so much found his mom and probably bonded with we the two years that him and his mom were on space dolphins. I think that Keith need the 2 year gap with his mom. He probably learned stuff for her and he now understands his origin. Keith becoming the black paladin he is now the leader that shiro wanted him to be reference in s2 when they were going to the BOM headquarters. Keith also got a pokemon wolf when everyone else was playing dnd space version. Keith go shiro back and his mom and he has definitely grown since season 1. His fighting scene with shiro was so heartbreaking to watch but he knew how to handle the clone and respect kuro. Shiro is Keith father figure form what we saw in the flashbacks with keith dad wearing Shiro’s outfit from season 1 -2 and their bond is so deep I love them so much. I do believe that Shiro did save Keith and I love their brotherly love I really do. You ship them relatively good for you I am not hating on the ship this is just my opinion on their bond.
My thoughts on Romelle: I love this pretty altean conspiracy theorist who literally busted lotor. I love romelle I hope we see her in future seasons.
Thought on Hunk,Pidge, and Coran : they did amazing the whole season hunk defeated galra with galran policitiscs. Pidge our wonderful pidge saved the universe.. Coran has muscles he looked amazing and did great this season.
My opinions on the 7 eps:
Ep1: Omega Shield
We meet lotors nanny. (she reminds me of space yazma from the emperor's new groove lol”
Hunk learning galra politics are schooling the galrans to stop fighting (im so proud our diplomatic boy )
Ep2 : Razor Edge (more like keith and his mom bonduing ep and I’m all for that”
I love krolia, i love we get keith’s origin about his mom and dad how they met, how she got there
Texas kogane saving keith name from being yorak (lol)
BABY KEITH
They she protected keith from the blast (ahh my heart the feels)
How keith and shiro met (finally i have been waiting since s1)
How keith acted in the garrison (poor boy he fought someone )
Keith gets a pokemon who loves and it is very valid to be (also what's it’s name yorak or keith dad’s name?)
Ep 3:Monsters and Mania
The chilliest ep for the paladins
The dnd ep is my fav. I love dnd i got all their jokes about dnd
Kuro being a literal nerd yass
Lance is an adorable dork and i love him
Pidge growing to defeat coran
Allura looking like a queen being amazing with a bow and arrow
Hunk rocks every look i love how his va tyler labine made him talk man oh and punk friendship is just beautiful
Ep 4:The colony
Romelle losing her brother over quintessence
Her not believing in lotor
The ep allura threw lotor and he deserved and it was right after they kissed
Romelle being a literal badass
Ep 5: The Black Paladins
Keith and Kuro fight was so beautiful and emotional
Keith being the black paladin and has matured so well
I loved this episode too it was amazing the animation everything the soundtrack is beautiful too
Ep: 6: All Good Things
The ep that allura dragged lotor when they were fighting between the dark voltron vs good voltron
I called that lotor was gonna make a bad voltron
Allura summing the blazing sword
Coran needs to wear more muscle tees and show of his muscles more
Ep 7: Defender of all universes
The actual ship that matters the castle of lions has to be destroyed to close off the quintessence field
And the montage yeah that gave me all the feels
SPACE DAD IS BACK
Looking amazing with white hair he is now a silver fox and he gets to rest FINALLY
Allura doing her own version of avatar state to put shiro essence into the clone body
The ending and the parallels . ALL THE PARALLELS THIS SEASON
I CAN’T WAIT FOR SEASON 7 WE GOING BACK TO EARTH
My favorite episode was ep 3 because I love dnd and everyone got to just chill and play game.
My thoughts on season 7
Road Trip season i heard it's going to be from the co executive said in a recent articles
I want keith to play dnd so badly I want him to hang out more with the paladins and be super goofy
Shiro actually seeing matt again
I want to see hunk’s and lance’s galaxy garrison stories
Lance arc might happen
What’s keith pokemon wolf name?
And his dad name?
Hagger is gonna be the new villian along with sendak
I have no idea what else is gonna happen next season but i’m already hyped for it
If you have read through this whole review thank you for reading it sorry it is full of rambles but this is just what I think of this season. I loved it. I hope you are having a nice day, night or ,afternoon and what are your thoughts on this season? Did it make it or break it for you? What do you think is gonna happen in s7 or future seasons? Please like or reblog and follow my main or my writing blog I post these IAL every sunday at 9EST. And again thank you for reading my review.

ww84 confused the fuck out of me. i genuinely enjoyed watching it and I think most of the criticism is pretty valid, but like it wasn't,,, that bad. A lot of the stuff I have a problem with is things that I was able to put in the back of my head and still enjoy the movie so I don't like the vehement hate and shit people are saying (unless it's about the racist shit, i’m am not uncomfortable with vehemently hating on the racist ass shit in this movie) but other than that like,,,, idk it was pretty good.
Spoilers for ww84 below
the plot wasn't amazing but compared to Infinity War? Endgame? Jesus christ is call ww84 a masterpiece compared to anything marvels put out in the past five years. I didn't enjoy the entire oil barron middle eastern/egyptian plot point. That was completely unnecessary and racist. Pretty much the entirety of what happened in egypt was,,,, not,,,, okay,,,, i’m not going to go into it but like that's a completely genuine criticism because what the fuck were they aiming for there??? The non-white and clearly middle eastern dude wishing for nukes while holding a gun??? What???
Next one isn't "racism" but like who decided to write, cast, produce, and film the scene where the woman wishes to deport all irish ppl and the irish dude wishes to kill her??? What the fuck was that??? It needed more context and if ur criticizing a movie and you say "needed more context" it means it probably didn't need or shouldn't have been there in the first place.
Uhhh what else,,,, loved kristen wiig. omg. But,,,, why was the entire plot line between her and diana just pitting them against each other?? The entire subplot didn't even result in any character developed that it showed Barbara doesnt "learn to love herself" or anything she's just like "wow having superpowers is stressful, nvm" and she barely even does that??? Also the part where it's showing her losing her "humanity" and she beats the shit out of her attempted rapist. Loved that part EXCEPT. Why is that how she loses her kindness? Like i've seen people say the part where she actually loses it is when she tells her friend to mind his own business, but anyone (esp straight dudes) watching that and even a lot of women could take it as framing her beating up the asshole as bad?? Like my dream would be to beat up ppl who've assaulted me or made me uncomfortable so the fact that they even left room for the audience to question which part was her losing her humanity made me iffy about it. Overall it's one of the things I think they could cut from the movie and it wouldn't make any difference.
something I liked about it was the cgi. It's been getting a lot of shit because it's cringey at points but like,,, I loved it. The parts where she's flying just felt like a comic book and yeah maybe it's not realistic, world changing cgi quality but it made me happy and I think trying to go for the ultra realistic shit would've taken away from the whole theme they were pushing with Diana's character which was truth and love. I've never read the comics or seen any other DC movies (other than the first gal gadot wonder woman) but she just felt like a cool character and watching her I really understood her falling in love with humanity. Her whole character might not had grown much in the movie in terms of a formal arc, but watching her grieve and mourn the loss of Steve and then go through the cycle of falling in love with humans again was genuine and just fun to watch for me personally. Was it a little repetitive to being steve back? I mean yeah, but like,, they played up the fact that she was still mourning him and hadn't let go yet so I didn't mind it at all.
I didn't understand the whole him possessing another person thing tho. Like them fucking in that random dudes apartment and taking his stuff just felt wrong??? And it's not even addressed?? They could've just brought Steve back in his own body like they made the porsches and nukes appear out of nowhere and completely avoided the rapey, gross, tones it gave off. Add this to the list of things this movie did that made me uncomfortable and were there for seemingly no plot reason I can think of. They made such a big deal out of Barbara getting cat called and sexually harassed/assaulted just to completely violate a male character? Male sexual assault already doesn't get enough attention and you can't tell me that it's weird and unnecessary that the writers have steve possessing this guy while also stressing female sexual assault and going as far as beating up an abuser. And then not even MENTION the guy steve is possessing other than saying he's hot?? Seriously just take out that entire section of the movie and you've got a plot that's starting to make sense, but instead they just don't.
I had to filter the tag for the guy who played max lord because jfc,,,, first of all not looking for madalorian spoilers and I just don't understand this obsession with his character. The acting was good but the writing was eh. It feels like the Max Lord in this movie was really complicated and had the potential to be a cool character with looking into the abuse, his child, being a single dad, the want to make his son proud and that relationship, like he just seemed like he could be a cool "villian" who's misunderstood and needs to calm down, but it was too much. I didn't even realize he was the kid being abused until I read a review after the movie and there was so much going on with the plots of developing Steve and Dianasa relationship, showing Barbara's character arc, and the entire world falling apart, that it really took away from Lord. Instead of cutting any of it to make Lord a well rounded and explained character or make him more stereotypical villian and expand on the Cheetahs character, they crammed everything into one and failed at both. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed watching the movie, but it just feels like they just bit off more than they could chew but didn't realize it. I would much rather see a Max Lord villian centric movie that goes into Wonder Woman vs Lord and his character and then a separate Cheetah movie that went more into Diana and Barbara's friendship and saving her from losing her humanity, even if it writing that movie means completely taking her out of the Max Lord plot line. Over all id really like to see a good movie about two women struggling with power, loss, and existing in society where the writers don't pin them against each other with little to no plot explanation and a confusing fight scene that brought in a whole new subplot (asteria or whatever) out of NOWHERE.
In conclusion just do better next time. I enjoyed watching the movie. I enjoyed criticizing the movie. I would watch it again. I feel like the writers really got stuck between the desire to make the worlds greatest superhero movie that blows all of the others out of the water with a complicated plot and tons of characters and just the desire to make a good, entertaining movie. Not every piece of media has to be the new best thing since sliced bread and the cheesy cgi, flying, and "love and trust" references really got back to the roots of a good superhero movie, but then they went so far with the subplots it's like they couldn't decide what they were going for and turned what could've been that genuinely good superhero movie into a fucking mess with racist undertones, a convoluted plot, and a whole bunch of shit that genuinely made no sense.

thoughts during My Hero Academia ep1
I'm always afraid to watch anime, especially a new series that I had been putting off, because I know it's just going to monopolize all my attention and time.  Anime is not something you watch without your full focus, especially subtitled.  Have I just doomed myself to spending the rest of my day marathoning this?  Writing reactions and thinking about its themes?  ;o;  Well, I'm just tired of not knowing what to watch and being unsatisfied with more YouTube.
"Porno Graffitti"...  What other theme songs have I seen that band do...?
Woah.  I'm really surprised that the main character's rival---I've seen the figure announcements; I know who he is---has known the primary protagonist since they were 4 years old.  O.O  That's kind of unusual these days.   80% of the population has a power/Quirk and superpowers have become normal?  Take that, Incredibles!  "When everyone is special, no one will be", my ass!  Don't confuse Power with Strength!  When everyone has Power, Chararcter will come to the forefront!  And Strength of spirit will be what determines whose special.  And really, isn't that how it should be?
I appreicate there being school rules against kids using their powers on school grounds.  (They really should have enforced that at Deku's preschool...but the dramatic effect of him just being defeated adds to the bravery of him standing up for someone else.)  But shouldn't a teacher have gotten angry at Bakugou for destroying a desk?  And bullying another student in freaking class?!!!
Seriously.  This Bakugou jerk is just not "Hero" material.  Bullying, domineering, arrogant, demeaning, and just everything that turns into a villian.  What kind of stories does he think people are going to tell about his youth?
I can't believe Deku is so good that he's worried about Bakugou comitting the crime of instigating a suicide, vs just hating the jerk.  Now, that's a noble character---My favorite kind!  ^o^  I love Shonen Manga heroes!  ;u;
What?  People missing a 2-part phalanges are a newly evolved form a human?  Wouldn't that mean he's more advanced than the level of humans with Quirks?  Why would the newly evolved form of a species be a step down, instead of up?  Why wouldn't the genes keep advantages and build upon that?  I mean, I understand that sometimes genetics CAN result in an offspring with less advantages/capabilities than the progenitors.  But wouldn't it make more sense that the people with Quirks have a physiological difference from humans?  Rather than a Quirkless---essentially a regular human---have a difference from normal humans?  It wouldn't make sense to use this doctor's reasoning to explain Deku as being Quirkless (at least not while built on our world's assumptions about evolution always building towards complexity).  I call foreshadowing!!!!  Deku is totally going to manifest a power later than normal Quirks.  In typical Shonen fashion.
It's ironic.  Deku's mother apologizing for him not having a Quirk is such an Asian thing to do.  Lots of anime moms apologize for whatever problem they inherit from their family lineage (whether legacy, responsibility, or physicality).  But it seems like Deku wanted his mom to tell him that he can still become a hero.  Yet that sounds like a very Western ideal.  Either someone really did their homework on the Superhero comic book genre, or I'm just forgetting all those defiant punk protagonists from other Shonen series.  ...Though "defiant punk" is clearly not Deku's archetype.  LOL  But, he did find that destiny-defying answer on his own:  "You decided back then, didn't you?  That's right.  Don't worry about what other people think!  Hold your head up high and plunge forward!"  The middle part sounds like the American "rebel without a clue" ideal, but the front and back parts sounds like the Japanese anime obsession with the ideal of Resolve and Perseverence.
"Texas Punch"? LOL
Finished ep1.  ^u^!  Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I have been meaning to watch this series for SO LONG!  But I have to do the adult thing now and limit my watching to just this one episode today (despite how much I'd love to marathon this series right now).  Gotta get stuff done.  x_x;

School rapper Ep.4 Comments Highlights
swings has already mentored many people outside of these shows so I understand why the kids want him. Super Bee as well as every member of JM has been mentored by swings. Not even just rap but just general advice.
Swings is to School Rapper what PaloAlto/Hi-Lite was to Hip Hop Tribe 2, everybody and their mama wants to be taken under his wing.
I think we see more of Chulgoo’s personality on this show than on either season of SMTM. I feel like he’s not as pressured. He kinda seems like he’s having more fun and is more chilled. It’s nice to see.
LOL Jessi isn’t scary. Men are always scared of her on these shows.
Chulgoo and Young B are gonna be attatched at the hip it seems like. Chulgoo seems like he’s trying to be besties with him lol.
Mark is better at basketball than he is at rapping. All shade.
I should have known tht you neve get to just have fun on these shows. If everything seems too happy, there’s an elimination coming up. Word of advice to any prospectie survival show contestants.
I think Seonjae did the best.
Chulgoo’s compliments lol
Jaemin said he chose her because she’s a girl. Obviously parts were edited I can hear as well as see that quite easily so IDK if he ws being derogatory or if he was doing it the way Black Nut chose Soo Min.
Jaemin is complimenting the shit out of her. Calling her all types of “boss” so I’m gonna guess it was the second one.
idk who’s gonna win it. Jieun or Jaemin?
Jaemin is dope. He’s doing stuff specifically to make Jieun look good even though he an be eliminated if she looks too good. Now I see why they edited it like that. To trick us! lol
I knew it would end like that anyway. They’ll always choose the dude.
Chulgoo and his commentary. I’m dead XD
Let Mark go home. I have a strong feeling he won’t though...
I really don’t see why people were impressed with that cypher but ok...
Chulgoo looks like those are his kids he raised from birth lol
Sangho should win but again...
I fucking knew it. See my problem isn’t that Mark is bad. He’s not. He’s the best rapper SM has ever had (the bar is low, but a win is a win). But on this show he just keeps sliding by on averageness and there’s WAYYY too many good and great rappers for you to just be getting by on being kinda okay. Shit it annoying.
He’s getting past on potential, just like Jaemin did over Jieun. Yeah, I like that Jaemin was able to make it further because I did see the potential and I wanted him to grow. Same with Mark. That’s why I was giving Mark passes. I really don’t think superior rapers should have to take the backseat to people who have the potential to possibly be where the better rappers are. Not to quote Jessi but, it’s a competition. It’s really not cool that lesser rappers get more screentime, mentorship, and backing when the better rappers really deserve it more. In that case, stop making it a survivial show and make it a pure mentorship show like “Made” from MTV or some shit.
Gree’s probably gonna win...
I have some type of weird insight when it comes to these shows because...lol. I guess I’ve just seen way too many to notknow the signs hahaha.
It can only be Luda or Bully. They have a girl on their team and both of them have the hype train behind them so let’s be honest, even if she’s the best rapper in SK there’s no way she’s winning. I think It’ll be Luda. I have no clue what possessed them to choose each other. It was probably a everybody else already got picked type thing.
Swings up here smiling like a Superhero movie villian and shit.
Luda has more variety. I keep saying that Bully has a very typical rap style despite being very good at it. IDK, i think the judges will go with Luda’s style and personality more.
This is sad. I lowkey wanted to see a Bully vs Luda rap battle at some point on this show.
Swings is a passion guy so I’m not particularly surprised about the outcome.
OK I finally put my finger on it after a whole hour! Hamin weirdly reminds me of Sik-K. IDK why.
I get that B is trying to do something different but tbh this beat choice just isn’t for him. IT isn’t for most people to be honest.
Giri made this but honestly...could HE even make this beat work? I honestly don’t think so. I can’t really think of one person who could tbh. Maybe Dilli Jinn or someone who has really melodic stuff. XXX probably could?
I guess these guys did but either way I’m still not really feeling it for a rap song.

The Great ATOG Reread; Grey part 7
I’m back.
Also, hi again @cinnamon-t
Chapter 20
Mike closes his eyes for a second. "I know how important what you two do is. So yes. I wouldn't change what I do with my life for a second, I know this is right. But still I . . . sometimes . . ." Blaine thinks about Kurt, and Kurt's conviction when it comes to clothing. Kurt never thinks that what he does when he's not a superhero is frivolous, he takes it as deadly seriously as he does when he's rescuing people. It's not just saving the flesh and bone that matters. People need lives worth living. People need lives that are valued and valuable, lives they want to live. For Mike and Blaine there will always be bodies to repair; it's Kurt and Tina who give those mended bodies lives worth going back to. "I know what you mean," Blaine murmurs, because sometimes when he sees the flush of creation on Kurt's face, sometimes under the pride he does think . . .
IT IS TIME FOR ARTIST COHEN-CHANG TO GO TO HER FIRST GALLERY!
Also, it’s interesting that we got this small moment between Mike and Blaine. We knows Mike wanted to be an artist once. Ash has showed us that, even though he doesn’t regret it, he never chose to become a doctor.
But Blaine? He’s always been an almost physical therapist and there’s no “if” or “but” because he wants this. He chose this because of a traumatic experience, but for the first time he admits (to the reader) that he has considered art.
The actual show is really touching. Tina’s photos are very succesfull and both Kurt and Blaine get to see what they’ve achieved.
Normally people vanish from his life after he helps them, ghosts. But here are all his ghosts again, warm-fleshed and alive, the centre of their own huge and busy lives, and he views his memory of them again through their own eyes now: a horrible thing that happened and then was done, and now they have the rest of their lives to get on with. And it feels so much better. So much better to know they're there, and he's not just shovelling continuously at the pile that only ever grows, it turns out that the rock he rolls up a hill every night actually scrapes a path to make things easier for the next person walking it. They're alive. They are happy ghosts living their lives. They are good ghosts, people he will never know but that's okay. They can know themselves. Their friends and family will know them still. They will not be cold lost things. Their own ghosts are not just dark things, there's the memory of someone there when they needed them the most, too.
Of course, shit happens.
First of all, we got ANOTHER anti-super thing. Jesus, why do people keep thinking that supers think they’re better than others because they have powers? Sure, there must be some kind of elitism, but that is not representive for all supers, same way Deaf elitism exists.
Second....
Well...
Fuck.
When I first read it, I thought it was lazy writing. Either introduce Sebastian in the beginning of the story, or don’t introduce him at all. Maybe it’s because before Grey, I always felt like an evil Sebastian in a later moment in the fic felt like ‘the last resort’, as if writers were stuck and thought; HEY, SEBASTIAN!
(or maybe it’s because I have done that once)
Back then, I didn’t know what was coming, but holy fuck the moment the big reveal happened, I said: “SHIT I TAKE IT BACK.”
Sebastian is yet another nod to the main story (first Jesse, then Schue, now this bag of dicks), and the main reason for problem 2, aka Blaine longing for some sense of normalcy.
By the way, I’ve added a problem no. 3 for Kurt. Like I said, as a reader you start to see the Ghost, Phalanx, Kurt, and Blaine as four different people, but Kurt takes it to a whole new level.
So, recap:
Blaine
Sidekick
Normalcy
Afraid of himself
Kurt
Losing grip
Normalcy/Blaine’s longing for that shit
The Ghost vs Kurt
He says, "I tripped." Tina looks across at him. Blaine has gone stiff under him. Kurt doesn't rescue anyone. Kurt doesn't throw someone down underneath himself to shield them from glass and shrapnel. Kurt is pathetic, that's the point.
And Blaine is kind of livid?
'I tripped'. And every person in the room apart from Blaine and Mike and Tina looked at him and believed him.
And I understand, but I also understand why it was instinctive for Kurt to pretend he’s pathetic (problem 3, you see)
While Kurt’s dwelling on problem 3, Blaine’s dwelling on problem 2. Sebastian. This isn’t like that one time glee did a similar storyline in 3x17, this is about Phalanx fading away from Blaine’s mind.
Phalanx can’t have kids.
Blaine fucking wants them.
He thinks, The longer you have to justify it to yourself, the less innocent it is.
Is it bad that I’ve always resented Blaine for this? He’s a smart man and he knows Sebastian wants more than just coffee, and he knows Kurt’s overly uncomfortable, and fuck, he knows that he’s making excuses to justify him hanging out with Sebastian.
And yet, he still continues.
Who else still continues nagging someone? Draxie.
Chapter 21
Blaine’s realising that Kurt’s third problem is a thing. Phalanx is a mask for Blaine, but Kurt is a mask for the Ghost, and Blaine thinks that’s very fucked up.
He’s still not aware of problem 1, though, and that problem is growing and growing and Kurt is kind of panicing because of it.
Mike knows and he thinks he can help the Ghost, but he completely misreads the situation. Mike sees it as help, the Ghost sees it as betrayal. Luckily, one good thing comes out of this crapfest: the Ghost realises Dr. Pillsbury is in love with Schuester.
Oh,
The door to the rec room opens again, and they all glance across at Agent Sylvester, who says, "Did you two slackers want to say anything to me?" The Ghost watches the screen, which Phalanx can barely see in his panic, hands weak on the controller, and says, "No." "Didn't think so. There will not be a next time, Casper." He looks across. Phalanx no longer dares to move. The Ghost says, "If you'd prefer that then that's fine. The next time we won't contact you first. We just won't turn up." Santana's eyebrows raise. Phalanx's mouth has gone dry. Agent Sylvester says, very, very evenly, "That's how you want to play it, spook?" "No," he says, and they're both far too calm. "I'm tired of playing. No more games." Silence. The entire room feels ready to crack. Agent Sylvester says, so utterly relaxed, "As you wish." The door closes behind her. Phalanx's hands are shaking. Brittany is a cringe on the sofa, Puck's eyes are wide with alarm, Santana is openly staring.
For the first time, the team sees the Ghost in his glory. He’s not the pathetic, wrongly hero-shipped weirdo, but they see what Phalanx sees every night.
Of course, it can’t go right with this fucking team. Brittany is completely oblivious to the fact that her girlfriend is a bitch, and Santana can’t handle that so she hurts the Ghost in the way that hits him the most.
Fandom is fucked up, kids, and that is why y’all need JesusGhostly.
Chapter 22
He has no way of knowing, and he never will, if they're someone who might have watched that movie. How paranoid, how insane will that drive him, he can't think like this and he knows it but any person he passes on the street (Be honest: any man he passes on the street. He doesn't know how to fear women in this respect.) he's as nervous of as if their eyes alone threaten. Because what if they - watch. Like. Think about -
Well done, fandom, you fucked up big time. You really have no idea what you’re doing. Such a good thing no one knows about this, because Ghostly will have your fucking heads.
Righfully so.
Then again, Ghosly might’ve ignored them all. She’s too caught up in her own problems. Her mom’s condition is getting worse, and BB is still distant.
(gathering flowers so very delicate a girl) (If you're quoting fucking poetry at me again)
Ghostly has a soft side for BB, but she’s not willing to do something with it, which overly frustrates Draxie.
Meanwhile, Sebastian overly frustrates Kurt.
What a bag of dicks.
You know... When I find myself in times of trouble/Jim Cantiello comes to me/Speakong words of wisdom/’He’s a slut, and a pig, and a slutpig’
(I miss Jim Cantiello I hope he’s okay.)
Kurt still has one big advantage: he owns New York. It might sound weird, because how the fuck can someone own a city???, but Kurt does own this city like no other.
Chapter 23
First, fuck Sebastian. What a bag of dicks.
Second, ohohohohoh the showdown with Incendiary is about to start and Phalanx has no idea what the Ghost has planned.
Brittany folds her arms. Santana looks at her, looks around the room; everyone's looking at her. Which, Phalanx thinks with a little twinge of spite as her eyes flick over them, barely betraying her sudden isolation, gives her some idea of how the Ghost always feels.
By know, everyone knows Santana takes pride out of humiliating others, and the Ghost just happened to be the easiest to target. It gives her pride, but also power, because she is oh so right.
Until she isn’t. She never was, but now she realises that absolutely no one wants to jump on her fuckthisshit train, not even the love of her life.
We know Incendiary is a bitch, but we also know the Ghost is willing to talk to his villians, because they’re still people after all. Sometimes, that goes wrong and people take advantage of it (fucking Brody), but sometimes it makes everything more easier.
The Ghost looks so strangely sad while she screams at him, and Phalanx touches his wrist, and is beginning to think . . . "- because you're just sick an' wrong to them an' they won't love you for you crawling on your belly after them, they despise you for it but not as much as I do, why would you want to help them, why should we ever give a fuck about them -" . . . that she's not actually talking about supers and people without powers anymore.
A part of me is all “cool motive, still murder”, but I guess that at moments like this, you have to be like the Ghost.
The queer Latina super; Phalanx realises how easy it is to look at Santana and see a villain, and how anything she does, to other people's eyes, just backs up their first impression. 'First impression', what a disingenuous name for prejudice, and he feels this, he really does, even her body must make people look at her and see . . . because he knows what they see when they look at Kurt's stance, and he knows how he as a teenager was over-anxious of every movement, every way he held himself, what would make him 'obvious', what would give him away - ? Curve of Santana's hips, full lips, long-lashed and very dark eyes, coffee-coloured skin, long dark hair and the shape of her cleavage whether she covers it or not; people look at her and they see 'trouble' . . .
I can already hear the voice of my social sciences teacher in the back of my head, saying: “etiketteringstheorie”
Whereas Phalanx is also willing to talk with others, he does not have the patience. Only the Ghost could make amends, because only the Ghost would continue looking past that mask. Phalanx would’ve given up, thinking it won’t help anyway.
Oh, btw
I think that might enter our Top Three Wankfests of All Time list, displacing the *last* time we had EXACTLY THE SAME ARGUMENT?? (My personal top three also contains that poor super who came to us for help and got shat on, fuck all of you who did that, and the 'could Phalanx be a PoC?' debate that just got real bad real quick people oh my god -_- )
Oh fandom, what to do with you. No matter how right you guys are (I mean, a) clothing indeed is not consent, b) the way y’all treated that super was really fucked up, and c) yeah, he’s PoC), stop shitting on each other. The Ghost is capable of talking to Incendiary as a normal human being, so why can’t you?
Why aren’t people sensible enough to see that’s also a solution? Why won’t Agent Sylvester talk?
There’s no more game.
The Ghost has underminded her authority and he’s showed the others that they can do that too.
Chapter 24
"We'd look after him." Puck says, and the Ghost closes his eyes, and swallows, quite hard. He has to trust in that. In the strength of Blaine's happy heart, and other people loving him the way he deserves to be loved. He has to trust in that. He whispers back, "Thank you."
Puck is very level-headed, and that’s what the Ghost needs. Mike freaked out, Phalanx would be out for kill, but Puck? He’s basically like Zuko in Avatar. “That’s rough, buddy.”
Away from that team, the problems are back and to absolutely no one’s surprise, Blaine is on that fucking rollercoaster of emotions again. At this point, I’m this close to contacting the Efteling to tell them they should open a new ride called ‘Phalanx’ and it will be the deadliest one the Efteling has ever seen.
Sebastian is really reminding him of problem 2, so when Kurt calls (or texts) him, he can’t help but feel some resentment.
Sure, Sebastian is a bag of dicks, but he makes Blaine feel normal. Is it bad that Sebastian flatters him in some kind of way? His life with Kurt is such a mess right now. He and Kurt are kind of rocky, and so are the Ghost and Phalanx. Sebastian on the other hand... makes him feel... well... normal. He’s just a normal guy getting hit on by another normal guy. And he likes it, not because he likes Sebastian, but because it’s normal.
And Kurt took him away from that normalcy. He is drunk and he’s afraid and for fuck’s sake, Kurt, why? Why must you text Blaine while he had a moment of being a normal guy?
That night, Phalanx does get a fucking wake-up slap.
"My fucking boss." she chokes there. "Fucking fuck. What am I supposed to complain? He hasn't touched me yet -" He closes his eyes, and lays a hand on her back, and feels guilty on the behalf of every fucking man on the planet. It's nearly forty minutes before her sister gets there. They sit on shields, and she picks the tissue apart in her hands, says to the snowflakes she teases out to fall around her shoes, "You're 'overreacting' until it happens and then you should've said something earlier."
He immediately calls it a night and just flies back to Kurt as fast as he can, because Kurt isn’t overreacting. It’s just that Blaine has no idea that problem 1 exists, and Kurt keeps bottling it up.
(And Rachel being an annoying shit isn’t helping, like wow girl, why are you still like this?)
