Of all of the characters you write, who is the easiest?

Mmm...

Billy is the easiest character for me to write, because I see a lot of myself and my experiences in him.

You gotta dig deep sometimes, which is the hard part, but he's become a great comfort character to me! He's also really great inspiration to kickstart ideas 💡

I feel like he's an old friend, and when I write for him it's kinda like we're just having drinks at a sports bar or something lol

Steve is a close second actually 😁

Heyyy! I don’t know how many of you remember me or this fic, wherein Geralt is cursed to hear Jaskier’s thoughts, Jaskier is Au-dhd and Geralt starts to learn about how Jaskier’s brain works, and also a little about himself along the way.  But if you do remember this fic, you probably also know that I started it in  2021 which was 2 years ago! But, alas, I am back and actually updating it! There have been 3 new chapters since my hiatus and this fic is so close to my heart, getting to discuss autism and adhd in writing in how it looks on different people has been such an amazing experience, made unbelievably better by the number of people saying they relate to Jaskier, or that this fic has helped them realize things about themselves, or be more patient with themselves. It's genuinely an honour to write this fic and hear from you guys, so basically I’m saying that It’s back, and it would mean the world to me if anyone who may have read it before could pick it back up or if you haven’t read it, maybe give it a shot?

Sometimes he wondered how much different would their lives have been if Genesis never discovered it. Once the music stopped he placed his focus momentarily upon Genesis. At the furthest part of his mind he began wondering was he going to continue. Not that he’d say it out loud. On that frame of thought and note the moment it starts up again, his question answered. But Sephiroth had then replied. “It’s different. I’m surprised.”

I feel like people don't appreciate enough that Dandelion is a fast slippery little fucker. Granted we don't see this much since the books are heavily Geralt POV, but it's mentioned that a lot of his dalliances involve him scaling up houses, jumping out of windows, sliding down drainpipes, running along rooftops etc and that is hard as fuck to do

He's basically committing AssCreed level parkour and is able to outrun almost anyone who comes after him. When he's not travelling with Geralt, he has to be able to get out of trouble by himself somehow and since he's not a fighter that means being good at running, hiding and talking

Not only this but in Last Wish, as someone pointed out on my posts once, it's shown that when riding his horse, he can effortlessly lift one leg to hook over the pommel of his saddle while playing his lute at the same time the horse is moving. That's a lot of skill and balance and knowing your own horse's temperment and what they're willing to put up with. He's not just a casual rider he's an experienced rider pulling off shit that you'd only see from pros

Idk man it's just a little irritating how often he's reduced to "horny silly bard" when he has these skills under his belt too and is obviously capable of keeping up with hunting parties and actual warriors without much issue ya know?

i loveeeee seeing witcher fanart of scenes from the books

firstly, because everyone's interpretation of the same scene will be different. since no two artists' book (book-only) designs will ever be exactly the same.

but secondly, because you do not know the artist's designs ahead of time (unless you've already closely followed their work, of which there are a few special cases), you have to figure out what they're depicting in a quick game of visual charades. because although you don't know their designs, no matter what the artist's interpretation is like, the scene they're depicting is the same, and thus recognizable.

but you as the viewer have to guess, you as the viewer have to know which scene it is based on the characters, setting, action, symbols... you have to draw the scene up from your heart, mind, and memory, and relive it again in a flurry of emotion

so it's both a means for art appreciation, since scrutinizing the details gives me an opportunity to better appreciate the art, and also a mean for book appreciation, since i remember these scenes with rabid fondness, but it's also like i'm playing a rapid game of visual trivia with myself. okay, quick—what's this scene?! who are these characters?! decide quickly based on setting—a forest?—character characteristics—there's a woman with a bow wearing green—milva? wait, no, she has no braid—a dryad!—the man with long white hair is obviously geralt, there's a girl—ciri— sword of destiny! final answer! maybe it is a little pathetic to get such a kick out of identifying scenes but it reminds me that every other fan is having a similar thought process to appreciate the art and that makes me happy to know we're all sharing something.

additionally, it feels like a connection between viewer and artist, i can see witcher art from the 90s and still know the scenes, nothing has been lost in that fan communication across decades. to know that someone else thought about this scene so deeply enough to appreciate it with a drawing.
