imagine if you will--you're a member of the paparazzi working in Paris, perhaps employed by a magazine or tabloid or what have you. you've been stalking Adrien Agresté for the past hour, despite him being clearly uncomfortable (but even when he's frightened by you it's still photogenic, so, like, whatever). and you're getting your shots, continuing to follow him just like one of his many crazed stalker-fans, wondering how much publicity you can drum up by leaking one of them onto one of his many fan forums (where they near-constantly thirst over him and have been ever since he was around 11 or so).

and then, out of fucking NOWHERE (at least by your own perspective, this creature just blended into the background so well as god likely intended it to), this fucking FREAK shows up to block the cameras. like, you're near confident it's a mangy dog wearing the skin and clothes of a homeless man, and then wearing the skin of another mangy stray dog on top of it. you didn't even know dogs or rats or whatever it is could reach 5 feet 7 inches (~1.7m). it is by far the ugliest thing you have ever laid eyes on, and terribly plain in its ugliness too. you think about going through every one of your past pictures, horrified that, if this abomination shows up in any of them, those pictures are worth nothing. that's how fucking gross it is.

and just as you're about to phone the police or animal control to save Adrien Agresté (who is in fact, so effeminately beautiful that it's been a meme for half a decade that people try to grope him to see if that little girly faggot has an actual dick or not) from being assaulted by this rat-dog-homeless-freak, you see Adrien Agresté (so gorgeous that the only thing keeping him from being 'the sexiest man alive' for the past 5 years was that he was a minor)--- HOLD THAT THING'S HAND!???!!

His eyes snapped open as the taxi pulled up to [School Name]. Paying the driver, Felix flipped a hood up over his head, reveling in the soft fabric and anonymity. After leaving Alya’s house, he’d immediately gone to an ATM to withdraw a few hundred pounds to carry on him. It was a risk—if Gabriel had called the police on him, then they might track his cards through his bank, but since Gabriel wasn’t his legal guardian, then it was possible that the bank wouldn’t allow access—but it was enough to live on, hiding in a motel room from the storm of akumas that plagued the city, hiding for the two nights and a day until he was allowed back in school again. He’d bought his hoodie the first night while grabbing some portable groceries, since his normal way of dress was notable, but he might keep it in his wardrobe for future use. Maybe Marinette could make him one…

He was stalling.

Popping open the taxi door, Felix headed inside, keeping his head down. His phone buzzed in his head, a confirmation from Marinette to meet before class started. His phone had been busy during his time out of Agreste Mansion; since he had to leave his laptop behind, he had to rely on Alya and Marinette’s help… mostly Alya’s, to be honest. As skilled as Marinette was, technology and dramatics weren’t really her specialty. Fortunately, she seemed invested in making Lila Rossi as miserable as possible.

Hmm. Maybe he was rubbing off on her.

Blending in with the oncoming students, Felix followed a group of boys younger than him, walking towards the gym. The gym was on the opposite side of the building from Bustier’s class, but he was early enough for it not to matter. Checking to see if anyone was watching, Felix ducked into the art room.

And there she was.

A terrible weight lifted from his shoulders; he was Atlas reborn, seeing Hesperis again for the first time in months. It certainly felt like months since he last saw Marinette. She smiled at him and Felix couldn’t—and didn’t want to—stop himself: he hugged her.

She stiffened in his arms before relaxing, her head tucked away in the nook between his jaw and shoulder. Her arms wrapped around his back and her hands buried into his sweatshirt, scrunching the fabric. Her heart beat against his chest, slow and steady. His eyes slipped closed. “Marinette.”

“What are you wearing!?” His eyes snapped open. She looked embarrassed. “Wait, sorry. I didn’t mean to say that, I was just… surprised. Are you okay?” She backed out of his hug and he opened his eyes. She stared up at him, concerned. “Alya told me, that Gabriel—”

He pressed a finger against her mouth. Fortunately, the room was empty, but someone could be listening outside the door. He pulled her to the other side of the room, as far from the door as they could be. “Yes, he is. But don’t worry, I got out of there before he could do anything to me.”

“And you’re alright?” She took a step back to study him, and his eyes were drawn to her neck. She wore a silver chain necklace that dipped below her shirt, and he could just barely see the outline of the ring he gave her. “You’ve been eating enough? And you had a safe place to stay? None of the akumas found you—”

“I’m alright. What about you? Did Gabriel send someone over to harass you because of me?”

“He sent Nathalie yesterday morning, but since you weren’t there, she left quickly. She tried to see my phone and email too, but my mom wouldn’t let her intimidate me.”

“I owe your mother a favor then.” Sabine Cheng must be a force of nature, to stop Nathalie in her tracks. “But what happened? I thought you said you were going to stay home today?” That was the plan. They were going to bait Rossi into getting akumatized, but needed her attention on Felix the whole time. To prevent her attention from straying, Marinette agreed to stay home today, while Alya planned to bolt as soon as his show began.

“Ladybug filled me in on some details.” He blinked; she was in contact with the superheroine? “The plan is for Chat Noir to protect you from the akuma, while Ladybug and a few temporary heroes help her ambush Hawkmoth. But I… She… We were worried that Lila will hurt you.”

Felix smiled. “Marinette, I’m flattered that you’re so concerned—” Though he wasn’t sure how to feel that the superheroine who punched him in the face was also concerned— “But this isn’t my first time fighting an akuma. I’ve fought three at once, remember?”

“You survived three akumas at once,” she corrected, fiddling with the front of his sweatshirt. “This is different. Lila… She’s not like other akumas.”

“How so?” And how did Marinette know this?

“Ladybug told me,” She confessed. “When Lila’s akumatized, she’s… more aware than other akumas. More focused. For other akumas, Ladybug can distract them if they need a breather, they have low-attention spans. Lila’s not like that. She’s completely focused on defeating Ladybug and Chat Noir.”

Felix cupped Marinette’s cheek. “Thank you for the warning, but I think I’ll be fine with Chat Noir’s help.”

“I don’t think so. And fortunately, Ladybug thinks the same, so you’re getting some more back-up.”

“No,” he breathed.

Her eyes flicked down, her irises slyly peeking out from under her lids, and he followed her gaze to his chest. Pinned at the V of his neckline was the Peacock Miraculous transformed. It’s dull gold metal and blood red gems winked up at him.

Duusu swooped into his face. “Hey buddy!”

Felix shot Marinette a betrayed look. “Why?”

“For your own protection.”

“But—” Duusu tried to grab his hair, so he swatted her away. “I told Alya that I didn’t want a Miraculous. I don’t need a Miraculous.”

“Ladybug and I think otherwise.” She crossed her arms over her chest, scowling at him. She looked stunning, daring and backlit by the rising sun, but Felix refused to be ruled by his baser impulses! “The protection of a Miraculous suit isn’t anything to scoff at Felix; you’ll be a lot safer if you transform.”

“Like Ladybug won’t reverse any wounds when she wins the battle!”

“Maybe she doesn’t want to reverse your broken body, maybe she just wants to avoid the problem all together.”

“Be that as it may, have neither of you considered that this might make things more dangerous for me? Gabriel has to keep me alive if he wanted to know where the Peacock Miraculous is. With your method, you’re putting our only piece of leverage right in front of his big nose!”

“Or maybe it will make Hawkmoth hyper-fixate on the battle and distract him from the world around him!”

Felix scoffed. “Trust me, you underestimate my ability to anger my uncle. His attention will be totally on me, I assure you that.”

“And you know what? If this was a normal akuma, or a normal fight, I wouldn’t care. I trust you to get out of the way of an akuma when its after you. But this is completely different from what you’re used to, and I…” Her voice hitched. “I don’t want you to get hurt.”

Well, that…

That was just unfair!

He had no counter to genuine concern like that!

“I’m not a hero!” He poked his finger in her face. “I can’t be. I won’t be!”

“You don’t have to be,” she quickly reassured him, smiling like she had won. “Taunt her, lead her on a chase through the city, I don’t care. Just be safe.”

“This…” His finger shook. “You’re not playing fair.”

She held his hand and lowered it back to his side. “Life’s not fair. I talked to a lot of people who argued that you shouldn’t be allowed to wield a Miraculous. But Duusu and I convinced them, so please appreciate how much we care.”

Felix looked at Duusu, who’d stayed quiet throughout their entire conversation. “You convinced them?”

“Of course, I did!” Duusu puffed out her little chest. “You’re Emilie’s precious nephew; it would be a sin not to help. Plus—” and a creepy grin grew across her face— “I want to get one over on Hawkmoth. He’s enslaved me for too long…”

Contemplating them both for a minute, Felix shook his head. “Fine!” he spat. “I’ll do it! But never again. And no one says anything about it. Not to people who don’t already know, not to me, not to each other. We all forget it ever happens. Understand?”

“I’ll spread the word.” Standing on her tip-toes, Marinette pressed a kiss to his cheek and he blue-screened. “Thank you, Felix. I’ve got to go now—I’m helping Ladybug today—but now I’m certain you’ll be safe… Wish me luck.” She smiled up at him while his brain was still recovering, and by the time he was back online, she’d already left the room. Helpless, Felix looked back and forth between the Miraculous on his chest and the door where Marinette disappeared too. That’s how Alya found him.

She cocked an eyebrow, crossing her arms. “Okay, brainiac, I can see the cogs in your head turning. What brilliant realization did you have this time?”

Felix pressed his flushed face into the cotton of his sleeve. “...I think Marinette is Rena Rouge,” he said around the fabric.

news about miraculous ladybug english dubbing EZRA WEYSZ (CHLOE IS SENTISER?!)

Hello everyone, we're back with more MLB news!!!! in this case of season 6? It could be, it could be, but we haven't confirmed anything yet, let's take this information with a grain of salt.

but we are going to assume that it could be, because of the info and the possible clue that EZRA LEAVES US... BECAUSE YES!! IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THEY HAVE LEFT US AN IMPORTANT TRUE FOR THIS NEW SEASON!!! hahaha.

Let's analyze it, we see that this supposed recorded scene is in charge of Mela Lee (tikki) and Selah Victor (Chloe) until then everything is normal, but the fact is in how Ezra titles this post, he says: "I spent my day so far with these beautiful humans surprises to come!

Why does he mention the term "human"?...I could understand the case of Tikki's voice actor, since Tikki is clearly not human and Ezra in a fun way specifies, but he talks about THE 2, that is, the one who voices Chloe, and Chloe is human, isn't she?...could this mean that Chloe isn't human?

So if she's not human, what can she be? Well, if you have been paying attention to my posts, you will know that Chloe is an important character because through her we are told about Marinette and Kagami, and thus give more clues about what is to come in future seasons,

other data that coincides, both are treated with the nickname queen, both are attributed petrification, kagamí is "ice queen, bone that freezes, petrifies and Chloe is queen bee, whose power is to petrify, paralyze, also similar cold attitude and very direct when saying things.

So if Kagami is senti, CHLOE IS TOO SENTI, and this fandom theory could be REAL.

During S5 and the topic of feelings, the theory has been reached that Chloe could be, since the families that created Félix and Adrien were very close to Chloe's, all these families... it's like They had a lot in common with this, their children also lived together, played together, etc...

and also counting on the fact that when THE ORGANIZATION OF THE GUARDIANS WAS RESTORED IN THE CAP FESTIN, among those who saw the news was AUDREY.

, so I wouldn't be surprised if Chloe was, and even more so if they want to give a clue to Kagami through her, (probably the mother herself is in control and she herself created it... but this is already talking too much hahaha).

Ezra after that says that surprises are coming, so although this is something that some suspect or theorize, others do not and IT WOULD BE A BIG SURPRISE.

Be that as it may, of course this is a theory, but now I feel that there is a possibility that it is true, what do you think?

My preference headcanons for every MLB character! (🌈 Happy Pride Month 🌈)

Note: These are MY personal preference headcanons for the characters. Take it with a grain of salt. Our opinions are allowed to differ, but please respect mine and I’ll respect yours.

Marinette: Bi, Female Leaning. I see her going both ways, but the reason why I see her female leaning is:

I personally just like that idea! ❤️

It seems that she’s more comfortable with girls than boys (I know that doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s attracted to girls, but eh. Still like the idea).

Her crush on Adrien seems comphet to me (yes, that can happen to Bi people too).

She can be that “preppy queer” archetype.

Adrien: Pan. I was THIS close to making Adrien Bi (female leaning), but I settled with him being Pan. Why? For the sole reason that I see Chat Noir as Pan (and Adrien IS Chat Noir lol). It makes sense 😄 I’m also starting to see him as Gender-fluid.

Alya: Bi, Female Leaning. Listen, I ALWAYS saw Alya into girls, even before her and Nino got together in Animan to be honest with you. But according to canon, it seems like she’s even Straight or Bi, since she’s shown attraction to boys. I mean, she COULD be a comphet Lesbian, but meh. I don’t want to erase the possibility of her being Bi because of her attraction to boys too. We need more Bi rep. 😜 So basically, I now see her as Bi, but female leaning. She prefers girls, but Nino is a sweetie pie 😊

Nino: Bi, female leaning. Nino prefers girls more, but he doesn’t mind dudes either 😉 I actually ship him and Adrien together. If it wasn’t for the love square and DJWifi, I think Nindrien would’ve been more popular.

Chloe: Closest Bi, comphet. Some people might see her as token Straight or a closest Lesbian, but I’ve finally decided that she likes both genders equally. Similar with Marinette, I just see her crush on Adrien as heteronormativity/comphet and also because she’s confusing her plantonic love for him with romantic.

Zoe: Queer. Tbh, I don't know right now. We don't know if she's gay, Bi or anything else, but we DO know that she's queer. She hasn’t shown any interest in boys in canon yet, but I don’t want to throw out the possibility of her being Bi/Pan yet either. 

Sabrina: Closest Pan. Sabrina is the type who thought that she was just an Straight Ally who doesn’t care who’s with who when it came to other peoples’s happiness. Love is love after all. Eventually she finds out that SHE HERSELF doesn’t care either when it comes to HER preferences lol 😂

Luka: Bi, simple but obvious 😌

Kagami: Pan & Demi. Use to see her as Bi (female leaning), but she doesn’t care as long as she can have a strong connection with them. I also see her as a Polyamorous Demi. She’s fine with being in a relationship with more than one person, but only if she has a strong connection with them. When you think about it, I guess that kind of makes Mari and Adrien Polyamorous too since Adrigaminette is my OTP3 huh? 😅

Rose: Pan. Rose loves everybody and anybody. She doesn’t care who it is 😊

Jeluka: Lesbian. I don’t really see Jeluka with any males and I don’t think that I ever did. She’s my little goth Lesbean! 😊

Kim: Bi. He’s perfectly fine with both, as long as he’s having fun 😄

Max: Biromantic Ace, Male Leaning, use to see him as Pan, but I see him more as male leaning now. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t mind girls though. Ones who are kind, sweet or/and match his intellect 😊

Ordine: Straight. Meh, I don’t really see her with females 🤷🏾‍♀️ Ordine ships like Kagami, Alix and Aurore etc. don’t interest me. Might change in the future, but I don’t know.

Mylene: Bi & Demi (male leaning). Her and Ivan together are pretty cute, and I don’t put it pass her to be interested in other boys too. But she is queer.

Ivan: Straight. Ivan was the first character in MLB that I saw as Straight lol

Nathaniel: Bi. I don’t ship him with anyone anymore, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a bi-bean to me 😛 I’m pretty sure he’ll find someone one day.

Marc: Gay, Trans, and Gender-fluid. I don’t really see Marc with girls anymore, so he’s gay now 😛 Also, I know he’s already Androgynous, but I also see him as Trans & Gender-fluid.

Alix: Aromatic Lesbian & Bigender. Like with Max (Ace), Alix was confirmed Aromatic, but I still do see her as a Lesbian. I don’t really imagine Alix being in an long term relationship, but she is interested in females. I did headcanon her Bi in the past, but I don’t really see her interested in any boys anymore tbh

Lila: Pan. She doesn’t care who it is, as long as she can manipulate them to her advantage…🤷‍♀️ Don’t get me wrong though, I do imagine Lila being capable of love and falling for someone, but not immediately.

Aurore: Lesbian (Comphet). I don’t ship her with any boys at all, and all my ships with her are with girls.

Mirelle: Bi (Comphet). Similar with Aurore. Also, I also ship them on the same level as Julrose.

Gabriel: Straight, but I don’t like the idea of him being the stereotypical homophobic parent. He’s a shitty person and parent, but it’s not because he’s homophobic. I did see him as bicurious in the past tho lol

Emillie: Bi. Meh, she gives off that kind of energy, even if she’s been in a coma 😜

Natalie: Bi. I like the headcanon that she’s a Bi woman who had feelings for Emillie too, as well as Gabriel (formally). I don’t know how true that is now, but meh. Still my headcanon.

Ms Mendeleiev: Lesbian. I see her being into women solely for the reason that I shipped her with Bustier lol 😅

Miss Bustier: Bi, but now just Queer. Similar with Zoe, we don't know if she's gay, Bi or anything else, but we DO know that she's queer/sapphic. 

Socqueline: Queer/Sapphic. We most certainly know she’s into girls, especially cute preppy ones that so happen to attend the same school that she use to attend, sees her as a role model to the point where she adapted her hairstyle, is into fashion, works at her parents bakery and unfortunately tends to have crushes on boys who are dum-dums instead of also acknowledging her obvious attraction to girls! 😤

Fei: Lesbian. Plain and simple. Makes sense.

Felix: Like Zoe, I’m not absolutely sure yet. But I do see him being part of the Ace Spectrum.

The other characters I don’t really care about enough to have preference headcanons for. So if you want to know my preference headcanon about them, ask me.

Hi could u write a story about the class trying (forcing) Marinette to confess or doing a crazy scheme which could be partiacly illegal along with a protective loyal and slightly possessive extremly influential boyfriend anyone besides mlb boys along with class salt(except luka kagami Zoe Nathaniel and Marc) adrien salt and neutral or sugar or even salt lila(you can chosse)

Everyone always knew that Marinette had an Anxiety Disorder. It had always been hard for her to talk to people she didn’t know and she was always worried that she messed up or did something wrong even with the people she did know.  It was one of the reasons her friends pushed her out of her comfort zone so much, to, “help her see outside of her anxious bubble and live a life filled with fun and good memories”.  Even though she was new, Alya knew that she had this disorder too, and she thought, like many others in world, that it was “curable”.  According to Alya, Marinette didn’t need medication or any of the other things doctors prescribed to her.  In fact, she was often just, “overreacting about things”.  All she needed to do was breathe or meditate, focus on the positive, learn to stop doubting herself, eat healthy, and get over her fears.  Afterall, to Alya, anxiety was a choice, it was escapable, and it was a problem Marinette created for herself, nothing more and nothing less.  Which is why she pushed Marinette so hard to talk to Adrien.  But she noticed things had begun to change around them ever since Lila came, things had been so different. 

Marinette never talked to the class much anymore except for a select few.  She also noticed that Marinette and Adrien have been talking more, but there seemed to still be some tension between the pair.  And Alya wanted to hang out with her friend again, and wanted to help her get the guy she loved.  So with the help of the rest of the class, sans Chloe, Sabrina, and Lila because she needed to help at a charity, they began their plan.

“Alya, I already told you I don’t want to!”

Marinette yelled as the girls began to help Marinette into a beautiful baby-blue dress, tie her hair in a neat fishtail braid, and put on makeup.  Alya wasn’t listening though, in fact she was texting Nino and the guys to make sure that they were able to get Adrien out of his prison of a manor and towards the Pont des Arts.  When she got the thumbs up she turned back towards the chaos with a wide grin.

“Alright Marinette, we’re going to help you to confess to Adrien once and for all!”

Alya declared with cheers from the other girls.  Marinette pailed and tried to push the others away, but they moved away before Marinette could reach them, already finished beautifying their best friend.  

“Alya I can’t!”

She yelled looking around the room as if looking for a means of escape.  Alya sighed and rolled her eyes.

“Yes you can gurl!  I know you’re scared, but we’ve got you.  We promise that you will be able to do it this time! We’ll be there every step of the way.”

She said in her best supportive voice.  Goodness this girl needed to learn to just chill and trust herself, Alya thought as she turned away.

“Alright, put these on!”

Rose cheered, handing Marinette the pair of heels they selected for her. “I can’t wear those, I’ll break my ankle.”

“Nonsense.” 

Alya said with a wave of her hand.  

“They’re only five inches, you’ll look great!”

Marinette looked around the room as her Anxiety spiked through her.  She hadn’t been on good terms with her class for months, and now here they were, forcing her to do something she desperately didn’t want to do once again.  She honestly wouldn’t mind throwing up right now, but she was afraid that even that wouldn’t deter them from making her do this.  They always forced her to do things she didn’t want to do, and while some of the things were enjoyable, she wished that she hadn’t done half of them—not including the Adrien plans, she hadn’t wanted to do any of them.  The heels were quickly forced onto her feet and the next thing she knew was that she was being rushed out of her own home.  Marinette wanted to cry, because this was supposed to be her safe space, but after this she wasn’t sure if it could ever be again.  

What would Damian think?  He was supposed to visit her tomorrow; what if he wanted nothing to do with her after this?  Would he believe that she hadn’t wanted to do this?  Would he be mad at her?

She didn’t have a long time to think all if those through because the next thing she knew she was stumbling along the pavement towards the Pont des Arts where André the icecream man was waiting along with a confused Adrien.  Her stomach clenched with fear and anticipation.  This wasn’t how this night was supposed to go, in fact tonight she planned to just chill and draw new designs while listening to music at her desk.  

She looked around with pleading eyes, hoping that they wouldn’t force her to go through with their insane plan.  She and Adiren had just figured out each other’s identity and have been trying to better understand each other so they could work better as a team.  Adrien said he was finally getting over her, and she was already dating Damian, so they had to figure out what their relationship would be so that the balance wouldn’t tip over.  The next thing she knew she was pushed sharply towards the stairs that led up to the bridge and when Alya pulled her phone out she knew she wasn’t going to be able to escape this.

Slowly she climbed the stairs, trying her very best not to fall over herslef in the too tall and painful shoes as she made her way towards Adrien.  Each step she took, each clack clack of the heels on the wood seemed to be her signature that spelled her impending doom.  Her eyes stung with unshed tears, her stomach ached with the fear and stress she was trying so desperately to suppress, her breathing felt stilted and wrong, and her head was pounding and screaming at her about her betrayal and everything that was going to go wrong!  

“Marinette?”

Adiren called out in shock when he saw her, but there was a shimmer of hope and happiness.  And that was the final straw her stomach decided as her mind told her that this would be the reason the balance of the universe was about to tip.  She nearly tripped as she ran to the edge of the bridge and emptied the contents of her stomach as tears began to stream down her cheeks and everyone watching simply froze.  But Alya kept recording, maybe this would still work.  Adrien would comfort her and they would fall in love!  But the others knew that this wasn’t going to work, they knew that it was time that this plan came to a close because Marinette was dry-heaving into the river, she was a sobbing mess with her make-up completely messed up, and they knew that she would want absolutely no one seeing her like that, especially in public.

“Marinette, are you okay?”

Adrien all but yelled running to her side.  She turned her head away, cheeks red in an ashamed embarrassment.

“Can you tell me if there’s anyone you want me to call?”

He asked as the other girls began to surround her, but she pushed them all away.  They were the reason she was in this predicament afterall.

“D-Damian.”

She all but whimpered.  She was so embarrassed that she was honestly considering jumping past the gate and into the water if only to get away in front of the crowd of classmates.

“Alright.”

Adrien said softly as he pulled out his phone and called the number she had given him in case of an emergency and she was unable to call this person herself.  All he knew was that he was important and that he was one of the reasons they were able to have connections to the Justice League after so many years of silence.  As Adrien made the call and began to mutter quietly into the phone Alya came up to her, camera still recording.

“Come on Marinette, you can do it!  Go tell him!”  

She encouraged her friend, but Marinette just started to cry again.

“Alya, turn that thing off!  It’s over, it didn’t work!  Just let her be; can’t you see that this was pushed way too far?!”

Nino yelled while trying to yank the phone out of his girlfriend's grip.  Alya just rolled her eyes and yanked the phone from his hand.

“It’s not my fault that she keeps working herself up!  She just needs to learn how to keep herself calm.”

Nino stared at her in shock.

“Alya, you know what Anxiety is right?”

“Yea, it’s when you're overly nervous.  Look, I know Marinette is more anxious than others, but honestly she just needs to learn to control it, then she’ll be fine.”

The others were staring at her now like she had grown a third head.

“Alya, how do you know when Anxiety becomes a mental disorder?”

Alya rolled her eyes,

“Anxiety really isn’t a mental disorder, people just say that so they have an excuse to be scared of the world.  Besides, Marinette doesn't have it, she’s one of the most social people I know!”

Marinette was shivering now.  Marinette had always tried her very best to not let her Anxiety rule her life.  She tried her best to do things her brain constantly tried forceing her not to do.  She’s able to be social, she’s able to work the counter at the bakery, she’s able to be the president at her school, but that doesn’t mean it’s non-existent.  Did Alya really believe that she was faking this the entire time, that the way she reacted to things was completely her choice?

The argument was getting louder, her breath faster, her head was pounding, and she didn’t know how much longer she could stay standing while wearing these devil shoes.

“Marinette!”

She heard a familiar voice shout and her head shot up as she watched a man with black hair, green eyes, dressed in a nice suit run towards her.  She tried to push herself away from the railing to meet him halfway, but when she took a step she collapsed from the pain radiating from her feet and ankles.  He was at her side before anyone else could help her up, checking her over for any injuries before cradling her into his lap and picking her up.

“Why are you in a suit?”

Marientte muttered as she wrapped her arms around her boyfriend’s neck and snuggled her face against his shoulder.

“There was a charity gala, which was why I wanted to visit you tomorrow.”

Marinette hummed as she tried to match her breathing to Damian’s own breath.

“Are you okay Angel?”

“Better now that you’re here.”

Damian gave her a small smile before turning to the class who were currently gobsmacked.

“Which of you are the reason My Angel was having a panic attack?”

Damian looked around at everyone and saw that they all wore a guilty expression, except the Agreste boy, he looked more confused than anything.  

“What do you think you’re doing?!”

A bespeckled girl yelled out from the crowd, her eyes squinted into a frankly unintimidating glare.  Damian rolled his eyes.

“Keeping Marinette safe.  Obviously she does not wish to be here.”

“Look here kid,”

Damian sent her one of his darkest glares which made her pause for only a second before continuing,

“We have been planning this moment for so long, and we will not allow you to ruin it!”

Damian raised a brow and turned to Agreste, he shrugged still unsure of what was supposed to happen.

“And what was this plan exactly?”

“I’m not allowed to say, that would break the girl code.”

Damian rolled his eyes and looked at Marinette, his eyes becoming gentle as he stared at her curled up form.

“They want me to confess that I’m in love with Adrien when I’m not.  They wouldn’t listen to me though.”

Damian nodded, he remembered the stories she told him about how they would force her to go through with their crazy and convoluted schemes when she didn’t want or have the time to.

“I see, well, I’m sure she’s already told Agreste this, but she doesn't feel that way for him anymore, and since I know you won’t listen to or believe what either of us will say, we will be taking our leave.  We ask that you please leave her alone until she wishes to see any of you again.”

Damian said in a tone that accepted no argument, but Alya never cared about things like that.

“You can’t do that!  I’ll call the police and have them arrest you for kidnapping!”

Damian rolled his eyes and flicked his wrist flippantly as he walked past her.

“Do as you wish, but know that you would only look like a fool for doing so.”

Alya was about to follow them and rip marinette right out of his arms, but Adrien held her back.

“Alya, that’s her boyfriend.”

He whispered into her ear.  Alya turned around and looked at him with shock.

“I thought she had told you.  But we actually talked about it a while ago.  I know she had a crush on me, but she doesn’t anymore.  Also, you should probably learn more about Anxiety before you go around saying that, ”people only use it as an excuse for attention”.

And with that, Adrien left the bridge and went back to his house.  The others stared back at him, shocked.  They hadn’t realized how far apart they had drifted from each other until now.  Little by little, everyone left the bridge lost in thought till only Alya was left, standing there and wondering how everything backfired so terribly.

So, I've got a friend who shan't be named, who I've accidentally, through osmosis, infected with a hyperfixation on MLB.

But he also knows How shit the writing in Canon is, so he sent me to ask you which episodes to watch that ARE important to know to have a baseline idea on the characters since he does want to pay some respect to the og show and not accidentally Salt the characters.

[TL;DR. Friend wants to watch MLB but is afraid of the shit writing, which episodes would you reccomend? Also, he watched the movie If that helps.]

OH BOY

Hm. I think the main problem with this is that some of the best writing and worst writing is at the same time lmao. Doubly so when it comes to later seasons and Plot.

Okay let's take a moment to go through the episodes. Might break this into seasons.

Since you said they've absorbed by osmosis, I'm not going to make my reasonings spoiler-free.

Season 1:

You know what? I'm actually going to say 'watch all of Season 1'. It has its flaws for sure, but Season 1 is still legitimately good to me. All the episodes are kind of important because they set up the various characters.

Season 2:

The Collector - Establishes Gabriel = Hawkmoth. Interactions with Fu and getting more Lore.

Despair Bear - Sets up the beginnings of Chloé's redemption and why she's Like That™

Riposte - Kagami's introduction!

Dark Owl - This is 87% for the scene of them in the box. The absolute TENSION of of that scene is fucking BEAUTIFUL I love it so much you have no idea. Also brings in Damocles as 'The Owl'.

Glaciator - I'd put this one as a 'maybe' because mostly it's just for the introduction of the Ice Cream Man so you know what's happening later when he shows up.

Sapotis - First dual-Akuma, and also the first debut of Rena Rouge!

Gorizilla - Gabriel suspecting Adrien of being Chat plot! Also more lore tidbits regarding Emilie, as we see her in the movie 'Solitude'.

Captain Hardrock - Introduces Luka and Anarka! Also I just love this Akuma.

Zombizou - partly because zombie apocalypse can be fun and it hits all the tropes. But this establishes stuff for Chloé's redemption arc. Both in a 'why she's Like That™', showing the idea that someone can change, and also her actually being helpful to Ladybug and apologizing for the trouble she caused afterward.

Anansi - I love Nora, and this is the debut for Carapace!

Sandboy - Some good nightmare fuel, and lore on the Kwami

Reverser - Intro for Marc! Technically not important in the long run but I love them.

The Queen's Battle Trilogy(Style Queen, Queen Wasp, Malediktator) - CHLOE MY GIRL. Okay! Introduction of Audrey. Seeing Emilie in the basement for the first time. Gabriel temporarily giving up on being Hawkmoth because he actually gives a shit about Adrien. Chloé finding the Bee. 'The only thing exceptional about you, is your mother'. (unfortunately the 'encouraged to make up with your abuser' part). Chloé getting the Bee for real! YES.

Heroes' Day(Catalyst and Mayura) - Season finale! Scarlet Moth! The Team of Five! Mayura's first appearance and the reveal of Sentimonsters existing!

Season 3:

Backwarder - though it does have some heavy cringe with Marinette mixing up the deliveries, I love Marianne. So more lore with Fu, the introduction of Marianne who canonically was down to throw hands with Nazis.

Chameleon - Lila returns! Mari looks insane trying to prove she's a liar. Lila makes her threat and is willingly Akumatized. Adrien thinks things are just minor and gives unfortunate but understandable advice.

Silencer - Though the band was kinda mentioned in Captain Hardrock, this is where Kitty Section is really 'A Thing'. Bonus for really establishing Bob as a dick. Also the Akuma's power is cool and there's the sort-of-confession

Oblivio - neat Akuma. beautiful shenanigans with Marinette and Adrien not knowing who they are, but falling in love anyway and trying to figure out how to function. Bonus points for all the 'Super Penguino' metaphors.

Oni-Chan - Lila being a manipulator on many levels and Adrien quickly getting to 'you're on thin fucking ice' with her. Establishes Lila making her deal with Gabriel.

Miraculer - More of Chloé's redemption and Queen Bee! The first time the Heroes see Mayura out in the field I think? Queen Bee v Mayura! Ladybug officially tells Chloé she has to be benched because her identity is known, using this event as a basis of example.

Desperada - The chaos of Adrien trying to be Aspik, plus the debut of Viperion.

Startrain - crumbs for 'why Sabrina is Like That', Kaalki is great. Chloé doing great as a Hero even without her Miraculous and taking control in a crisis to save people! Debut of Pegasus. Also the comedy of not only the class being launched into space but Gabriel being so ???? about that happening, and so dramatic of 'oh no Adrien's on that train in space I must rely on my enemies succeeding for him to be safe!'

Kwamibuster - Little bit of lore, but mostly just the badass moments of Mari using all of the fucking Miraculous and how this was supposed to be something special lmao

Feast - SO MUCH FUCKING LORE. Like a bunch of Lore on the past users, the Guardians, what happened when Fu was a kid, etc. Plus the Guardian Temple coming back!

Ikari Gozen - Marinette and Kagami actually become friends. Debut of Ryuko!

Time Tagger - Bunnyx and all the nonsense she brings!

Party Crasher - this one is a maybe. It's chaotic as fuck, and has the debut of Roi Singe.

Chat Blanc - YEAH THIS. THIS IS A THING. LASER PISS ON THE MOON.

Felix - oh hey the boy! Mostly just establishing that he exists. The first time Gabriel and Emilie's wedding rings are established as important.

Ladybug - Lila's whole 'get Mari expelled' plan. Sentibug. Adrien making his own deal with Lila for Mari's safety.

Battle of the Miraculous (Heart Hunter and Miracle Queen) - YEAH THIS IS UNFORTUNATELY RELEVANT

Season 4:

Truth - Jagged is Luka's dad, comedy of "Truth: "what is Mari's secret?"/everyone: "She loves Adrien"." Lukanette breakup.

Lies - Mostly just for fairness, but you can gather 'adrigami break up for the same reasons lukanette did' if you only watched Lies.

Gang of Secrets - Mari is struggling. The Girlsquad wants to help. Mari gives in and tells Alya that she's Ladybug

Mr. Pigeon 72 - lore-wise this is the intro of the Charms. But tbh I just think everyone needs to see how fucking fantastic Alya was this episode

Furious Fu - Introduction of Su-Han. Tbh he so rarely shows up you can kinda skip this but if you /want/ to see him show up....

Sole Crusher - Zoé's first episode!

Guilttrip - Rose having some vague illness, fluff as everyone tries to love her so much. 'Girl that's a bootyhole' Sentimonster. Debut of Pigella!

Optigami - One of Gabriel's most fantastic plans, and it's something Nathalie thought of lmao. Genuinely good plan though. Tension is high. Unnerved by Sentinino

Sentibubbler - Gabriel going direct approach! Alya wrecking house while being held hostage!

Wishmaker - the chaos of everyone's wishes, and Viperion learning LB and CN's identities.

Hack-San -Scarabella my beloved!!!

Dearest Family - Kind of a 'maybe', but first glimpse of God Mode Tikki.

Gabriel Agreste - this was a trip, but mostly here for Felix finding out Gabriel is Shadowmoth(which.... he. He really didn't need to /confirm/ that. He should know. But I digress).

Shadowmoth's Final Attack(Risk and Strikeback) - Season finale! Felix being a FUCK and handing over all the Miraculous to Gabriel!

Season 5:

Honestly I could say to watch all of Season 5 for the exact opposite reason I said to watch all of Season 1 lmao. But if I have to condense the shitshow:

Evolution - Genuinely so fucking good! Alix darling!

Multiplication - not the best, but does really first establish both the tech to transfer the Miraculous Powers, and that Tomoe is working with Gabriel

Destruction - mostly not important, but kinda cool for LB's complicated af plan. But established Monarch getting hit with Cataclysm.

Jubilation - Into to Socqueline. The Alliance Rings are debuted to the public! Shows that the programs on said rings are designed to help Gabriel track down Ladybug, so if Mari ever wears one there's a risk. (downside is you gotta look at the cabbage patch babies and Chat attempting murder)

Passion - the Lovesquare has reversed and we are SUFFERING. Gabriel is a moron who Akumatized Nathalie knowing she wants to kill his ass. Nathalie as Safari is GREAT though

Illusion - establishes Nino's 'Resistance' idea of Civilians fighting back.

The Kwami's Choice(Transmission and Deflagration) - Tikki and Plagg try to let Mari and Adrien be happy with each other. Scarabella and Kitty Noire are on the scene! The Alliance tracker comes into play as Gabriel finds their identities! Near-victory as he takes them out, but luckily Plagg can think fast. Mari and Adrien return to their jobs as LB and CN.

Migration - Luka knowing the identites finally comes into play!

Derision - HEAR ME OUT. This episode fucking sucks, but in terms of fandom things you might want to see what this nonsense was. And how to divert it.

Adoration - Zoé confesses to Marinette, and Mari FINALLY confesses to Adrien. But Gabriel is a big old bag of DICK.

Emotion - Adrienette! The dance! Felix is finally here as Argos! Red Moon! Really establishing the Sentimonster stuff!

Confrontation - PISS WINDOW. Anger aside, Lila is finally caught!

Collusion - GOD fuck this but it's important to the plot for LB and CN to team up with the Akuma and run the mayor out of office.

Representation - Partly for the closest thing to Adrichat fighting Gabriel we'll get, mostly for Felix's play though.

The Final Day (Conformation and Recreation) - Our Season finale! Adrichat is left out of the fight entirely. Gabriel wins but also dies but still wins because he's remembered as a Hero. But hey at least we got cool fight scenes and Eldritch Kwami out of it!

Bonus:

Watch both the NY and Shanghai specials! They're fun and bring in various characters!

Do you have any random headcanons for Jesse you'd be willing to share? She's super fun and I'd love to know more about her :]

A few!

Jesse can barely read. Is she dyslexic, ADHD, or just a bad reader? No clue, but leaning toward mild dyslexic who just gets very frustrated very easily. Everyone just thought she was dumb and didn't learn well, including her teachers who gave her passing grades with the goal of one day having one of their alumni make it to the MLB. No one finds out she actually has a learning disability until halfway through the story and it's not who you think it'd be (or maybe it is). Figuring it out unironically changes her life.

In complete denial about being bisexual. Still points out hot chicks for Mundy and then gets joke-mad at him for looking. He does the same thing, but only for chicks because blokes actually do make him jealous.

Craig Donovan was a great baseball player and for a little while he was her first crush. He ruined it, obviously. He ended up still being her first crush but in an entirely different context.

She talks in her sleep. The only one who is aware of this is Mundy. She also gets very handsy in her sleep. Wakey wakey hands off snakey. Mundy doesn't mind because he's arguably worse.

Has a sock monkey named Joe that her dad made for her before she was born. Originally she named it Poopy Joe after the monkey died but then she grew up and "just couldn't take the Poopy part seriously" so now it's just Joe. It was 2 years at BLU before she stopped sleeping with it every night but she still pulls it out from under the bed when she has a nightmare.

HATES SNAKES. No one knows why. She doesn't know why. That said she loves lizards. Her world is turned upside-down with the discovery of legless lizards.

Absolutely terrible cook to the point Mundy had to teach her to make fried eggs. Still uses too much salt but Mundy eats Vegemite so he's not whinging.

Stays levelheaded except when family is involved. See: Cindy and Craig Donovan, Cindy and Pete & Greg, Charles and Claw, etc. Will take a lot of shit about herself. Her family? Talk shit, get hit.

Charles killed an American Army General after Dom and Eddie were killed and no one knows. Jesse found out the morning before the Italy Incident and hasn't told a soul.

Cindy Knows. Fair go on what this means.

Was born 2 months premature with lungs that weren't fully developed. If she'd been only a week or two earlier she wouldn't have survived. Charles immediately gave up smoking because he was worried just the smell of smoke on his clothes would affect her. He remained clean for 10 months until the day he left in which he immediately bought a king size pack of cigarettes and chainsmoked the entire pack in one night out of stress.

On a similar note: after coming home from a three-week stay in NICU, the ONLY THING that could get baby Jesse to sleep was her father singing to her in Welsh. It was one particular lullaby (Suo Gahn) and despite Charles teaching it to Cindy, Jesse wouldn't sleep for her. At exactly 2am every night she'd wake up with a cat's cry and Charles would have to take her out of her bonnet, go into the lounge room, and fall asleep in his chair with her across his chest. This is the only way she could sleep for 10 months until Charles left. No one in the Evans household got any sleep for 3 months after Charles left. It had gotten to the point everyone in the household was waking up five minutes before she started to cry and waiting in the kitchen for the wailing. Mass panic the first night she didn't cry.

Coughed a lot as a baby due to underdeveloped lungs. Charles lost his 18-month-old-sister when he was 5 to whooping cough so this coughing scared him absolutely shitless.

Childhood asthmatic. She's grown out of it but any semblance of choking scares the shit out of her. Still rarely has attacks brought on solely by stress. Was intubated by Suki so many times in her first year at BLU that she now has zero gag reflex to physical stimulus. Still gags at gross tastes. Hasn't had an attack in 3 years, still keeps an inhaler just in case.

Can't count past 100. Not dumb, she just gets distracted and loses her place.

Windows XP shutdown sound when restrained. Really though, she has the sheep response to restraint. Pin her arms to her side and hug her and she calms down immediately.

Antithesis to Jeremy in parental relationships. Jeremy has not forgiven Spy in the slightest and feels he has to prove himself before he'll ever call him "dad." Jesse has forgiven Charles, doesn't care about the cold shoulder, and is just desperate to have a father after going so long without one. Neither of them approach Dad's Home in a healthy way.

Still has nightmares about Sniper. On that note...

As much as she insists Sniper and Mundy are the same person, she completely backtracks on that both as a coping mechanism and because of how Mundy reacts at the reminder that he WAS probably in his right mind when he did what he did.

Devout Irish Catholic so long as you don't remind her that murder is a sin.

Gets misty-eyed whenever she hears the song Brandy. There are no restrictions for alcohol on base EXCEPT in the case of brandy, for which there's an unspoken agreement to never bring on base. Jesse's mother was an alcoholic. These things are all related.

Has such a high metabolism that she completely shuts down when unable to move around. The kind of person who's switching positions every half-hour at least. Most of her time captive was spent sleeping due to this.

Zero booksmarts. Incredible streetsmarts. She outclasses Mundy in some categories when it comes to reading people.

Dom was always kind of an arsehole to her and a part of her was glad when she found out he was drafted because it meant she wouldn't have to be around him. She wouldn't admit this on her deathbed. Still loves him, though.

Her relationship with Tommie is more strained than I let on and the truth about how she feels about him is first hinted at in one paragraph of chapter 11. They're the kind of siblings that get along better when they're apart. This comes to a head when she goes back to New York for a week.

So many lore thoughts aaahhhh

The sheer potential of a DC × MARVEL × DP × MLB crossover makes me giddy. Their lore individually is so much fun to play with, but together? Vibrating in place at the thought.

For example, the Lazarus Pits.

Quick explanation of Ra's al Ghul in DC (from what I remember so take it with a grain of salt): being interested in science, he becomes a healer. He is ordered to heal the Sultan's son. He finds the Lazarus Pits and heals the Sultan's son, but his wife (Sora) is killed anyways. He overthrows the sultan and becomes the demon head, using the Lazarus Pits as he pleases.

Now, in most DC × MLB crossovers the Lazarus Pits form because of a wish.

In most DC × DP crossovers, the Lazarus Pits are just contaminated ectoplasm.

But hear me out.... its so much fun as both.

Ra's al Ghul is getting desperate, there isn't a science formula he can find that will heal the prince. Noticing his determination, a young monk who was victim to bandits lends him a magic jewel, the ox miraculous. As long as he helps the monk with his thief problem, he can use the ox miraculous during his more dangerous experiments. Al Ghul is running out of time when he finally finds the last two jewels, in two different very hard to get to places. He finally gets the jewels back for the monk, but the monk wants the ox back too. He isnt having it, using the jewels, Ra's al Ghul makes a wish. A wish for a substance that heals almost anything.

Slight problem, the substance bursts from a hole punched through the literal earth and does not belong on the surface. The wish demands balance, every time the Pits are used, it draws ectoplasm from the Ghost Zone. Sora still dies and Ra's al Ghul still overthrows the Sultan, but now the "Demon's Head" holds more weight as he literally had horns like a demon when transformed, oh yeah and the crack? It grows. Lazarus Pits pop up everywhere and the more the used, the sicker the Ghost Zone and its inhabitants get.

I got another one for you: Atlantis, this one makes me internally squeal a little.

Marvel: There is alot to expand upon here, but the parts I'll focus on is that, when still above water it was a place of barbarism and constant war, and was sunk by the Deviants.

DC: Again, a lot to unpack, but with a nice side of DC-can't-make-up-it's-mind. In general, Atlantis was very advanced in both magic and tech before sinking and reasons for sinking vary a lot based on the version(?) Idk im not awake enough to do a deep dive into their lore again. Atlantis and its empire splintered into seven(?) successor kingdoms. (Not including some outliers in their multiple Earth chaos)

All MLB gives us is that Plagg (black cat miraculous) had some part in it sinking.

But how I picture it:

A crazy person was trying to take over Atlantis. He had somehow gotten his hands on the black cat miraculous and was brutal, entire villages wiped out without hesitation. He slowly builds power. It's an age of barbarism and brutality. A few clans and kingdoms of Atlantis band together and form a more advanced civilization, thats still riddled with some power struggles. Atlantis is split in two, barbarism vs advancement. At on point Plagg gets free, and in an attempt to help and maybe steal some cheese he uses cataclysm. His cataclysm disrupts the tectonic plates Atlantis sits on. Years pass with Atlantis teetering over the edge, when it all comes to head one day. The technologically advanced Atlantis was having problems with their tech that made the unstable plates worse. Meanwhile, the barbaric Atlantis was being attacked by Deviants. The crazy person from before though? Didn't care. He had been looking for the Ladybug miraculous to make a wish and had finally found it. Unfortunately for him, he died before he could make the wish. Fortunately for the rest of Atlantis, Nooroo takes pity on them and transforms all people of Atlantis into varying degrees of fish people. Some relied soley on tech that Nooroo had transformed, while other had blue skin and webbed feet. Atlantis does split into many kingdoms, but now there are two kingdoms fighting for the right to be Atlantis. Centuries of stealing from one another and fighting has made it unclear which one is technically the original, but throughout all the ocean the people of the sea curse and cower from the name of Plagg.

Something bout the MLB fandom I think is so funny and disturbing and interesting is how the salters basically took sides in their own little made-up war between the show’s own OTP. You gotta admit, that’s funny. Weird, but really really funny.

It’s like, you have this bunch of normal citizens who just came to vibe with a superhero/secret-identity romance where the whole deal is how much these two idiots are in love with each other…and then meanwhile there in the corner there’s this random plethora of conspiracy theorists who are out screaming for blood and playing pretend they’re in a civil war 🤨

boy oh boy have you got a point. i also find humor in the salt wars, in a dark, oh-God-what-am-i-watching kind of way. at that point, the fandom can't even be enjoyable for them, can it?

i was talking about this a few weeks back with a mutual and they gave me an extensive background on this whole debacle. i was relatively new and still kinda am but i was like, :0 some characters deserve salt, sure (i'm thinking of ted mosby in how i met your mother or will schuester in glee) but that happens when they're portrayed as fun, quirky heroes as the narrative glazes over the fact that they've done some really bad things. i don't think that's happened with marinette and adrien at all! the show, for all its faults, does give them consequences for their mistakes and makes them acknowledge and learn and grow from them. that's one of the things i like about it!

A favorite scene? Well... the first one that comes to my mind it's the marichat date scene on exaltation, especially the kisses at the end of that scene, makes my heart flutter so much and it's like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

As for fics i like... well i'm more akin to AUs, especially the what ifs ones, like "what if adrien and marinette never met" or "what if master fu had chosen other people for ladybug and chat noir instead of marinette and adrien" or "what if scarabella and kitty noire didn't get caught and adrien and marinette kept being miraculous-free?" Wait now that i think about it i think that's what canon divergence is isn't it? Anyway you get the idea right?

As for salt fics, it's okay i guess, it's just that i don't have any dislikes for any of the characters aside from lila, she's the only one that really gets in my nerves... well, chloe too, but just towards the end where she was being manipulated by lila, before that it was kinda like meh. Kinda sad that thomas hated her and never gave her a redemption arc, would've been nice to have that instead of what we got, in my opinion at least

dude the fucking fandom is so fucking. god. fuck. jesus fucking christ. like ppl bitching about miraculous salt and all that shit is like - don't get me wrong it's irritating and fucked and stupid but like that shit is NOTHING compared to what we went through almost daily yk? i see people complaining about how bad it is in the fandom and how ridiculous people complaining about a literal kids' show is and i get that!! i feel that!! i understand you!! it's dumb!! i see it too! don't get me wrong about that!. And on a non-gameplay level, the game could stand to do a little more in terms of explaining some things to newcomers - case in point being the fact I never figured out how to transport anything across oceans, which made for a slightly long game when I found my starting city alone on an island, and I was forced to win over the world solely on the strength of my culture. When you get into a scenerio’s later stages, and the world is filling up with cities and soldiers and settlers, movements start to feel and look a little sluggish. Most obviously, there are times where the performance is a little suboptimal. Which isn’t to say that CivRev2+ is the best handheld game I’ve ever played, or that it’s flawless. If there’s any game more suited to handheld gaming, I don’t think I’ve yet discovered it. There are no plots or stories you need to keep track of. The controls - for the most part - are easy to pick up and remember, so you never have to worry about re acclimating yourself to the game.

If pesky things like bus stops get in the way, you can just momentarily suspend your game, then pick it up again as soon as you get another free moment. You never need to worry about having to stop a particularly tough battle halfway through, since you can literally take it everywhere you go. In this respect, the game is pretty much perfect for the Vita. I don’t know how much this version took from the original version of CivRev2, but it clearly took enough that it can sink its claws into you and make it so that you forget everything else. I regularly found myself starting up a scenario as soon as I got on the bus for work, only to look up and realize I needed to hurriedly get up and rush to the doors so as to avoid missing my stop. I totally see how people could sink hours upon hours into it. Having said all that…my goodness, CivRev 2+ is fun. For another, it means that I almost certainly didn’t play the game to the absolute fullest extent that’s possible, on account of the fact I’m pretty sure I suck at it. For one thing, it means I can’t tell you exactly how faithfully the proper Civilization Revolution 2 experience is recreated on the Vita, since I have absolutely no idea. While the former didn’t bother me too much - I sank approximately 500 hours or so into MLB 10: The Show’s career mode, so I’m totally used to addictive repetition - the latter definitely gave me pause, seeing as my gaming strategies generally tend towards the “run in, guns ablazing, damn the consequences” school of thinking.īecause of that combination of unfamiliarity and lack of strategic thinking ability, you’ll probably want to take this review with at least a few pinches of salt. I’d never played any of the Civilization games before, but by reputation I knew them to be both insanely addictive and fairly hardcore in terms of strategy.

Sorry Sam, I respect you very much, but what devs say espically from Firaxis, they really can't be trusted. Every one of them has been mentioned specifically in interviews. After all what do you think $80 is going to get you? :P They've actually outright said it will have those. You really expecting that Civ VI is going to have religion, espoinage, cultrue, and great works? That is what the expansions are for.
