I started writing an enemies to lovers Steddie fic that starts off as Tommy/Steve/Carol with this prompt except Im tired and I lost the plot lmao so instead let me float the images of:
Modern college town AU featuring frat president Steve, who's been convinced no one will ever really love him by his parents, his past relationships, and Tommy & Carol. The latter not only "date" him but regularly use him and his money by utilizing his self worth issues against him.
Hes barely scrapping by in class, kind of wants to pick up a side job to get out from under his parents financial thumb, and enjoys talking shit with his sort of new friend Robin at a retro vinyl store, but with Tommy and Carol reporting back to his parents/the frat he's not able to take up Robin's offer to work there with her.
The frat keeps him busy the rest of the time--he's a legacy, and several members are deeply entrenched into a competition against the other fraternities that frequently cause problems on campus due to their pranks, parties and general bullshit. Steve has to run shoulders with the college Dean and such a LOT to peace keep.
Eddie works at the major game shop across the road from the vinyl place, which helps pay for the automotive program he's in part time at the college. He runs all the D&D campaigns, including several for adults and kids. A lot of the events he tries to get going on campus get shut down as the school and police target him and the "scary kids" in a show of misdirected anger at the frats they can't touch without risk of losing out on their parents money.
Eddies particularly pissed at Steve after an infamous incident involving Eddie spearheading a pokemon go event that came into contact with some kind of frat beer run, which led to Eddie being wrongfully arrested.
Their enemies piece began with Eddie storming into Steve's frat, demanding he do something as he's one of the more influential presidents and Steve, goaded on by Tommy and Carol, refusing.
This is further cemented when Eddie finds out one of his favorite high school players, Dustin, is close with Steve and defends him constantly, refusing to elaborate much when pressed other than to tell Eddie that Steve used to watch Dustin a lot as a babysitting gig and he's a "really good guy under all the frat shit Eddie, seriously."
(Dustin does not elaborate that his mother was on the PTA with Steve's mother and that she clocked his parents abuse, and used the babysitting angle to get Steve out of that house as a kid, and Steve sees Ma Henderson more as a proper parental figure than his own parents.)
Throw in some light sub/dom dynamics, Eddie breaking into Steve's room as revenge only to overhear Tommy and Carol being downright vicious to him, and a "who did this to you" crying in the rain scene before the prompt line finally kicks in.
I wanted Tommy and Carol to be fucking gagging crying throwing up furious when Steve finally blows it all up, and for the fallout to be so insane for Steve that he ends up either starting his own frat with Eddie or throwing away his title entirely and having several of the not shit frat boys follow him out.

I struggle to see the appeal of Katniss and Gale as a couple and it's not just because I ship Everlark deep to my core. I am capable of loving a ship and seeing why someone ships one of those characters with someone else, even if I hate that other ship.
It's because, frankly, Katniss and Gale are boring together. There doesn't seem to be any of the classic romance tropes going on between them. And this, probably more than anything else, is why Everthorne shippers are so few and far between these days because people will ship just about anything as long as it's not boring. Toxic, illegal, annoying, problematic--this will not sway shippers. But boredom will.
Katniss and Gale fight with each other but it's not even "sexy" fighting/bickering. It's boring fighting where you just feel mad at Gale after, but not that great push-and-pull those good antagonistic romantic couples have. It's just push-push-push-push.
They're supposed to be friends, but I can only think of one instance where they share a joke with each other. Their friendship is dull and based solely on "we both need food for our families." That's built a lot of knowledge about one another, but reading the series it's hard to find even genuine moments of friendship between them. Not where one is looking out for or helping the other (I'll never deny they do that), but where it's like, yeah, I can see that they like hanging out with each other because they like the other's company. At least from Katniss's perspective, Gale's company is familiar and known, which is its appeal. But if they were meeting for the first time at 16 and 18 without all the history between them, I cannot for the life of me see them wanting to hang out.
They have no physical chemistry. Katniss's descriptions of her physical contact with Gale are flat at best and uncomfortable at worst. So it's not even like, wow, but their make-out scenes are so hot!
They have no cute or romantic or sexy exchanges with each other. Maybe the one they have after his whipping could be construed as romantic? But Katniss drops that so fast and over three books they have one line each that's just sorta cute. I have seen rarepairs built on more.
Idk, ship and let ship, I just find this one so entirely lacking anything to make it shippable.

The level of my absolute rage right now at the quotes on this tweet of new pictures of Michael as Prince Andrew calling him "ugly" and "stupid" and a bunch of other names, all because they disagreed with one thing he said/did. The fact that these are set photos and Michael is literally in costume seems lost on all of these pusillanimous amoebae, none of whom should be allowed to operate heavy machinery unsupervised. And he is playing the nonciest nonce ever to nonce, so if he looks old and creepy and unfuckable, that means he is doing exceedingly well at his job, because while it is one thing to thirst over Michael when he's playing a serial killer, thirsting over him as Prince Andrew would be SO much worse.
Also, what really incenses me is that these people were clearly only fans of the version of Michael in their heads, rather than who he actually is, and now the rose-colored glasses are off, so they are pissed. Meanwhile these same people would flip a goddamn shit if someone insulted David's looks or Georgia/Anna's, but because Michael isn't considered "conventionally attractive," it's somehow completely fine and falls right in line with the fat-shaming comments he's gotten recently. This fandom is making me want to drink all the drinks right now...

🧵Threads and needles, pins and stitches,,,📍
Been brainrotting over mob Sunny lately, so I had to make them a design
tw blood below the cut
Being left emotionless and willingness, Sunny is a simply loyal and reliable person to work with. His main job is to assist Poppy in taking medical care of family members/in cleanup of crime scenes, but would do pretty much any other work he's assigned to do by others.
Despite his cold demeanor, Sunny is very caring about the "family",,, but only as far as they have injuries, get sick etc. He doesn't feel the need to engage in any social interactions with others, doing it only if they're told to.
Aside from being a nurse, Mx. Aster is a designer who tailors the majority of "family's" outfits.
They mostly stay at the mob headquarters, since she's not the most useful in slose combat or anything of that sort (not physically well), can be required for stealthy and quiet job I suppose??
In a fight he prefers to attack from longer distance, using his shears or daggers to throw at the opponent. But anything could happen-
They may be tweaking a lil,,, but not to worry, not like anyone would witness it or remember
template by @/clownsuu
Idk if there's any use in making this relationship thing since they can't really have their own opinion on things
meh

John Price is such an ex-husband. Like ya’ll got married young (highschool sweet hearts probably) and split up but not before having a baby and even though the papers were filed years ago and you’ve both had relationships since then he will always love you and feel a little jump in his chest when he sees you and tells you that you look lovely, as always. He’ll make a comment about the creaking front door when he comes by and insists he fixes it for you as you tell him how his son is doing in school (he’s struggling in math. but he insists its because his teacher sucks and its not his fault) It’s been years since you’ve been husband and wife but he still keeps his wedding ring in his nightstand and a picture of you on his office desk.
