We know that because Simba was the protagonist of the first Lion King he had to be the focus parent of the sequel, but imagine how it'd be if Nala was the focus parent, having more scenes than her mate? I mean, if Lady, the title protagonist was downplayed to supporting character for the sake of Tramp and their son, Disney could have done this too. I guess then it would be called "Nala's Pride".

Also, lionesses happen to be superior to the male lions, so there could have been something there.

If you think about it, Nala deserved a chance to shine. As for Simba, he seemed to hold too many grudges and prejudices, and it's not clear or not if he learns from any of those flaws/mistakes. Plus, we never got to see the lions getting over the prejudice against the Hyenas.

I be watching people have their own designs for twisted wonderland Nala and then cry because I see a little white girl like Nala wasn't an African lion.

And then human designs for Zira that are all a white woman like she wasn't an African lion.

To make it worse, their clothes weren't even African. Some of em were either super European, which REALLY pissed me off, or just plain stereotypical. Almost like people have a thing against black people and just can't seem to use Google to find cultural shit.

ARE YOU IN OR OUT?? Also Robin Williams didn't voice Genie in Return of Jafar, but he did for this one! Aladdin's dad shows up, Jasmine and Aladdin get married - good stuff all around

The Lion King 1 1/2 {original-The Lion King (1994)}

It follows Timon and his New York Jewish meerkat family. The jokes are great

It is a masterpiece that adds to the movie while making it better and not worse. The dig a tunnel song is amazing. It's cute to see snippets of them raising Simba.
