Astro Analysis

Aight, so this is going to be an analysis of one of by brother’s charts (the Capricorn one) but feel free to send in placements so I can put together some good observations. My brother’s a younger one, but he shows a lot of promise and strong natal energy despite someone who isn’t supposed to be matured into the chart yet.

The purpose of this is for any of you viewers who relate to these placements get some insight from them if you share the same specific placements as him (might be Capricorn heavy observation lmao)

❄️Capricorn sun + sun in the 6th house: I’ve noticed that even though he was born in the Taurus decan (which slightly chills the workaholic tendencies). he always has to be working on something.

❄️He takes literal pride in working on something hard (capricorn sun) and doesn’t stop moving around (6th house), so he has strong abs for a kid. Whether it be video games, homework, or sports, he doesn’t stop working and will try to achieve the best score that he can. (A seriously goal oriented person).

❄️Capricorn moon + moon in the 6th house: K, so he is emotional to those who are closest to him with emphasis on the -EST, otherwise, everyone can go “suck on their popsicles” cause prying with him is unless they mean something.

❄️Can keep a secret/ is very sneaky. No one ever finds out unless he deems them worthy to know.

❄️He is starting to become emotionally constipated due to his suppression and denial of emotions, and most cap moon I know have that problem or something similar. An argumentative person and has to work on something and be routine to stable himself. Desperate to not be emotional baggage.

❄️Mercury in sag + mercury in the 5th house: Yes, this is a comedian/entertainer placement. He has a very blunt way of speaking, if you look ridiculous, he will call you out, if you are being an idiot, he will call you out. loves jokes, lighthearted convos, and weird humor. A funny little man.

❄️His mercury in the 5th house means that he expresses this way of speaking into the entertainment/creativity field. Ya see its a true comedic placement (1 out of many factors that make him a charming person). Loves to laugh

❄️Venus in Scorpio + Venus in the 4th house: This is a very reserved placement because venus in Scorpio is a deep feeler and picky selector of who they choose to show their loving side to, but nonetheless magnetic placement (another reason why ppl consider him charming lmao).

❄️His venus placed in the 4th house Scorpio cusp makes him show his loving side to those he considers family and is vulnerable to the family, even though he sees his fam controlling and secretive (scorp in the 4th).

❄️ Mars in Capricorn + mars in the 6th house: another workaholic placement lol. He always thinks of the most efficient way of winning something and takes whatever shortcuts lead to the goal. When angry, he tends to argue, and say things that he knows will hurt you most (Verbal insensitivity). Cut-throat energy and attracts the latter.

❄️ Mars in Cap don’t get mad easily because they have a Cap on it (lmao you get it), but when they do it is similar to cancer but less explosive and more cold and less emotional. However, they can be very reckless due to the fact they’re ambitious to the point where they don’t know the hole they’ve gotten themselves into. (intensified by other cap placements)

❄️mars in the 6th house is honestly self-explanatory, because people with this placement tend to find vitality and direct their energy through working and moving. Might have conflicts in the work-place in life cause you know... mars and 6th house.

❄️Usually have very fit bods because they work on their health a lot and have excess energy. Motivated to work.

❄️Leo Rising: so magnetic and can gain attention from so many people. He is explosive and vivacious. Once again, a charming placement like bruh he got himself expelled, but got a second chance because the authorities in the school liked him. Tall and big bones, and fast metabolism. Straight posture 24/7 or a regal looking posture. Confident, loud, charismatic, and a natural entertainer.

❄️Taurus mc: focuses on the financial field, and actually makes for a good CEO because of the stable reputation. The way they approach people and their rep at work is graceful, steady, and comfortable. People will find him trustworthy and secure so they will trust him to lead the team.

As a summary, this kid brother of mine is going to be either one of the best leaders in his field, or a complete and utter cut-throat. Depends on the rest of his maturity, but in short his placements are very reserved and calculating, despite the charismatic/charming demeanor.

What was the last thing you wanted to buy, but couldn’t afford? Venus' terrarium on my own. Mom has to help me with buying it. What is a recipe you’d like to try to make for yourself? I don’t cook, so. What goes through your mind when you look back at old photographs of yourself? More than anything, I get sad over how much weight I've gained. I was so healthy once upon a time. Well, I was born with dirty blonde hair like my dad, but my hair is thick and more similar in color now to my mom's before the cancer completely drained the color. They're black flip-flops. When was the last time you were required to put on a mask? In the morning when I go to the TMS office. And what colour was the last mask you wore? It's one of those normal blue and white medical ones. The last time you were in a queue, what were you waiting for? To see the woman who would give me my APAP mask. Have you had your Covid vaccine yet? Which one, if you have? Yes, Moderna. If you've had your vaccine, did you experience any side effects? None for the first shot, but my second shot bruised badly and I felt seriously shitty the following day. I was perfectly fine afterwards, though. Can any of your friends sing well? Which one has the nicest singing voice? Sara has an AMAAAAAAAAAAAZING voice. When was the last time you wore make-up, if ever? What shades/colours? I don't even remember, but I'm sure it would've been black. What is something that seems popular, but doesn't interest you personally? Fashion, various TV shows, etc... Are you clumsy or graceful? I am STUPID clumsy. Like it's just ridiculous. Do you like gloves? I like fingerless gloves. Does your sibling(s) have braces? My older sister did as a kid. Do you ever say "OMG" in person? No; it's a random pet peeve of mine, "Internet talk" irl. What was the last thing your parents got mad at you for? Dad, no idea. Mom, uhhhh. Not "mad," but "annoyed" probably better fits how she felt about me leaving the heating pad I use for my cramps on the floor. Do your pets have favorites? I'm definitely Roman's favorite seeing as he is my literal shadow, and I'd assume Venus trusts me more than anyone else, but realistically, she's in contact with almost no one else, so. Who was your first boyfriend/girlfriend? Why did you break up? The first guy to have the title of "boyfriend" was Aaron, and I broke up with him 'cuz I just wasn't as romantically into him as I thought I might be. It was puppy-dog love, and I feel I knew that. My first *real* boyfriend was Jason, who broke up with me because my mental illnesses began to affect his wellbeing. Which I now accept is fine, but he seriously coulda gone about things differently... When was the last time you got a new bed? Is your bed comfy? Late into my teenage years; idk the exact age and don't feel like doing the math. Teddy kept peeing on the bed to where it was just unrecoverable and needed to be thrown away. My current bed is comfy enough. What kind of games did you play on the playground when you were younger? My absolute favorite was digging tunnels in the sandbox, pretending to be a meerkat. The only trend I ever created, haha, seeing as my classmates got into it with me, allowing us to make huge tunnel systems. It was really cool. I also liked playing 4 Square (which I now don't even remember the details of) on the basketball court. Do you remember the first time you ever drove a car? Who were you with? Yeah, my driver's ed instructor and the guy who was on the same route as me. What’s your favorite thing to do when drunk? Would you do this sober? N/A Are you a fan of dogs? Do you have any as pets? I'm picky with dogs. I like interacting with any dog, but I don't plan on ever owning another. I don't like how hyper they can be, and I prefer more independent pets, like cats. Basically, I'll be hyped to meet a random dog on the street and give it some loving, but I don't want to take it home to be my own. Are you an elitist (even a little bit) when it comes to anything? What? No. I cannot stand elitists. Is just being fond of something enough, or does it take more than that to be a ‘real fan’? And I hate gatekeeping in fandoms even more. There are varying intensities of "being a fan," but regardless, if you like something, congratulations, you're a valid, "real" fan. What type of fabric is most comfortable for clothing? I don't pay attention to this, honestly. If you wear one – bras with or without a wire? I'll wear either, but without is way more comfortable. If you wear one – are you able to find cute bras in your size? God no. What length do you like your shorts to be? I don’t wear shorts. What was the last disappointing movie you saw? Warcraft, but not because it was bad. I've talked before how in the theater, the orcs' voices were just so fucking baritone that I couldn't understand almost ANYTHING they said. Kinda ruined the experience for me. What was the last disappointing book you read? Don't recall. Do you ever watch compilation videos? Of what? Very rarely. If I do, they're mostly of animals being silly. Favorite Disney character who isn’t royalty? Probably Dory, but idk. There's WAY too many options to fish through.

i know i have probably said this about ever baby girl

but she’s a princess

i definitely feel like hendery would be an amazing girl dad

like he has a lot of sisters

so i feel like he really understands girls well

and he would show that with his daughter

i def feel like no matter how prepared he thinks he is as dad, he manages to mess up but make everything so funny

like the first time he changed her diaper?

he made you laugh so hard, post labor you had to change your pants (that seems like a tmi pero giRLS CHILD LABOR IS NOT PRETTY AND IT’S DEF NOT OVER AFTER THE BABY. YOU DEAL WITH STUFF FOR MONTHS AFTER)

out of all of the babies, xiuying is the giggliest

like i feel like even when she cries, she’ll giggle

for some reason, when she just looks at her dad, she just starts laughing lol

and like even when she cries, if she sees hendery, she’ll just laugh

i feel like hendery is one of the best uncles

like all of the kids love him

and its the same especially when it came to his daughter

there honestly would not be a day without laughter

like xiuying would manage to make you laugh

hendery would manage to make you laugh

your household is just full of giggles even before xiuying could properly talk

pero, back to the princess thing

like she was such a gorgeous baby

she inherited hendery’s HUGE eyes

and whenever she giggled and smiled

oh man

like she was just so beautiful

like she’s just naturally so pretty

she has the prettiest smile too

like there was just so much happy and joy in your life because she was there

hendery would just be so happy around her

like he could be super duper tired from tour or from practice

like really exhausted

but the second he sees xiuying

oh man

his energy is instantly restored

just knowing his happy daughter is there, all of his energy is back

hendery is there for everything tho

like he’ll stay by her even when she’s crying like there’s no tomorrow

regardless of how exhausted he is, he’ll do everything for his little girl

but as hendery gets older and he has more than just xiuying

and she can just keep up with him

but whenever they’re together, it’s so chaotic

it takes at least 4 people to watch just the two of them bc they’re just so chaotic lmao

her biggest flaw really is the fact that she can’t really control her energy

like she doesn’t know when to calm it down

it’s all okay tho

she’ll eventually learn dw

tbh she’s such a funny older sister

she wouldn’t do anything super dangerous with her little siblings

but like she’ll just say the weirdest and funniest things

but she can get really serious when needed

like when it comes to her career and her family and such

but in other situations

she’s honestly the funniest

xiuying becomes a really good older sister

like if her younger siblings are getting out of check

she’s really good at keeping them in line

xiuying is def not scary

but like her siblings just naturally listen to her

she becomes a model/comedian/tv personality

like jaehyun’s son, jung leon, she’s just so beautiful and so funny lol

she honestly could care less abt like being super “feminine” and stuff to maintain her model image yknow?

she probably tried to reserved and calm and such

but her personality just is too powerful lmao

she would slip a lot

her manager would scold her and stuff whenever she did slip up

and it got to the point where her manager just gave up lmao

they just let her do as she pleased and she skyrocketed in personality after that

but yeah, tbh, she really does take her career seriously

like super duper seriously

xiuying wants to live an honest life tbh

like she takes her career seriously, but when her manager told her to maintain a pristine image, she didn’t sit well with it

bc the image they wanted her to maintain is simply not her

she talked to her manager abt it and they understood and let her do as she pleases

and it really did help everyone in the end

she’s still zhangwei’s best friend

zhangwei joins a band and he’s the lead singer

xiuying knows zhangwei better than anyone tbh

they def don’t get together tho

like they’re the best example of platonic, heterosexual, best friends

to be 100% honest

xiuying has a huge thing for the drummer of his band lmao

ofc she goes to zhangwei’s concerts to support him

but her true reason to go is to see the drummer lol

everyone gets along so well with her

like literally no one seems to have anything bad abt her

if they do and they talk abt it, she’ll just agree lmao

like someone will say “your nose is too big.”

and she’s like “yeah, my nose is pretty big. it’s okay, it allows me to smell yummy food easier and better then.”

or like

“your eyes resemble the eyes of donkey from shrek”

and she’ll be like “omG REALLY? HE’S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER THANK YOU SM”

she takes hate the best out of all of the kids

like if someone is struggling bc they get some hate comments, she swoops in and pats them on the back and is like “dw. xiuying is here. let me teach you how to deal with the haters.”

but yeah, she’s really goofy and so gorgeous and just a well loved person :,)

he’s also so pretty as a baby

he also inherited hendery’s big eyes

pero

his eyes are lowkey kinda creepy

like it was endearing with xiuying bc she smiled a lot

but mochou is super duper serious lmao

like he loves to stare

and it was lowkey kinda creepy

but overtime, when he smiled more, it became endearing lol

for sure, hendery and xiuying’s reactions were the best lol

like hendery and xiuying would be playing with mochou, trying to get him to smile

and mochou is just :|

he’s not mad

he’s actually quite happy

it’s just he wasn’t really the smiliest baby

xiuying and hendery would just have the funnies reaction

mochou is quite a looker tho

even tho his eyes creeped all of you out

from an early age it was very clear that mochou would be a talker

he was babbing from the second he knew he could makes noises

and hendery would hold out entire conversations with him

for example

hendery: you know, that’s an interesting point, i’ve never thought about it like that before

mochou: daaaaaa aahhhpoooo

hendery: no, it’s definitely crazy, i totally agree. so tell me, what are your opinions on the current state of our economy?

mochou loved to imitate you guys while you talked

like if you said “i love you!”

he would babble a reply that is really similar

even tho xiuying would play with mochou a lot

mochou was really good at playing on his own

xiuying loves to just explain everything to him

like every little detail about everything

she’ll bring him the most random things and just explain everything she knows about it

mochou was most definitely cared for by xiuying

he was just a sweetheart who creeped you out from time to time

he had the biggest imagination

and he let the world know it

like he was such a creative kid

mochou would make a new world whenever he played

like if mochou and xiuying were playing together

mochou would create an entire new world and xiuying would just be so excited the entire time

xiuying: “sO YOU’RE TELLING ME THAT THE HOUSE IS A SPACE SHIP???”

mochou: “YES!!! CMON, IF YOU GO TO THE WINDOW YOU’LL SEE A TON OF DIFFERENT PLANETS!!!

xiuying: “OHHH MY GOSH THIS IS SO EXCITING!!”

all of the kids love to play with him because his imagination is just so crazy

he’s still a huge talker

mochou is amazing at carrying conversations

like he’s is a pretty social bee and loves to talk to everyone

he loves to tell everyone everything

mochou belongs to the 127 squad

meaning he’s best friends with jaehyun’s son, jung leon, jungwoo’s second daughter, kim jieun, and haechan’s second daughter, lee haeun

when the 4 of them are together

you need at least 10 people watching them

by themselves? they have a ton of energy

all together? oh no

when he does get tired, he loves to draw

mochou is naturally talented at drawing

in all forms that require creativity, mochou is naturally talented in all of it

he was naturally really good at singing

he was naturally really good at learning instruments

he was naturally really good at painting, sketching, drawing, doodling

he was naturally really good at writing

mochou has a lot in his brain and the best way he could get it out was through drawing and painting

even tho as a baby, he was kinda stoic and such, he made of for it as a child

he became just a smilie as xiuying

xiuying and mochou have the sweetest relationship

xiuying likes to scold mochou even if he’s not doing anything wrong

mochou just smiles and listens to his sister.

even his younger sister liked to torment him a bit

but tbh, he would just take it

he loves his sisters to death

he would let them play with him as they’d like, he was honestly just chill about it

hendery would sometimes take mochou on “man” dates

but tbh

it’d just be the two of them getting ice cream or something like that lol

hendery grew up with a ton of sisters so like I def feel like he would be a little confused with how to raise his son

but I mean, if his mochou was more on the feminine side? so what?

hendery loved mochou for who he is

omg, both boys would be so whipped for the girls tho

like if hendery was watching all of the kids, he would for sure end up dressed up as a princess

mochou too

when you came home, hendery would have a princess dress on him that def doesn’t fit bc it’s xiuying’s dress

mochou would be covered in head to toe with makeup

and hendery would be talking in his girl voice about being the beautiful queen of the land

it’s the best thing ever tbh

he becomes a creator/director for movies and such

like his creativity is so amazing and it remains the same way until he’s an adult

and the world needs to know his stories and such

he vibes well with yuta’s daughter, nakamoto akari

they both have such an amazing imagination and they both just want to share it into the world

he honestly follows in akari’s footsteps bc like she has a bit more experience in this field than he does

mochou for sure works in the same animation studio she works at

and together, they just build the coolest worlds ever

they def have their own ideas and stuff

but like if they work on a project together

they lowkey can just sync up and like they barely need words

everyone else who works in the animation studio is like???

bc like akari would talk to mochou for like 2 min

and then he just nods and starts drawing

then she starts drawing too

and like the characters from the drawings look virtually identical

it’s crazyy

they’re on the same wavelength

he for sure still parties hard with his 127 squad

like during work, he’s serious and straightforward

but like leon, jieun, and haeun would pick him up at the studio and he’s screaming for some reason lol

not out of fear,

out of excitement bc he’s ready to PARTY HARD WITH HIS FRIENDS

i feel like mochou would have the same exact sense of humor hendery has

as an adult, if hendery and mochou were just spending some time together

it sounds like there’s two hendery’s in the room

and oh no

mochou? he’s getting all of the ladies

i feel like he would be the type to have a different girl fall for him each week

i also feel like he’s too clueless to reject or accept their feelings

while he was at a work seminar

Okay so this is a rewrite bc tumblr mobile is horrible. I want to start with a disclaimer bc I’m not a professional and most of what I’ve learned can be found online (I use my intuition and knowledge of you from your blogs too). The conclusions I come to might be different than what a more experienced astrologer would or I might be way off base, but I did put in effort so I hope some of it resonates. Idrk how to do a full chart reading (I feel like charts can be read endlessly tbh), so I’ll just be covering the broad strokes of what really jumps out at me.

Something you might want to look into is your Chiron placement. Chiron is considered the “wounded healer” asteroid and has to do with a perpetual/recurring wound you encounter in your life. It’s something you struggle with personally, but can help others with bc of your experiences. Your Chiron is in Libra in the 11th house. This tells me you face a lot of difficulties in your social life. Libra has a lot to do with personal relationships, and the 11th house is about community/friends/etc. This combined with Scorpio ruling your 12th house makes things tricky. The 12th house rules over a variety of things, one of them being hidden enemies. With Scorpio here, your enemies will likely be manipulative and possibly psychologically abusive. This makes a lot of sense to me bc I feel you desperately want to find good and trustworthy friends but you’ve dealt with “fake friends”/betrayals in the past so you struggle with trust.

But! You also have a very prominent Pluto. Pluto covers a lot of stuff like finances, death, sex, rebirth/regeneration, etc. Being in the 1st house means that your Pluto is very influential all by itself (the 1st house has to do with the self). Your Pluto also happens to have quite a few aspects to it as well (and almost all of them being favorable [trines and sextiles]). Pluto’s prominence means you have a great capacity for healing and regeneration, you rise from the ashes again and again. Another thing that makes Pluto so prominent for you is that it forms a grand trine with Mars and Saturn (a grand trine is an aspect pattern between 3 objects where each object forms a trine with the other 2 objects making an equilateral triangle, grand trines are very influential in a chart). This is an awesome place to have a grand trine imo. The trine between Pluto and Saturn indicates a knack for growing despite (or maybe bc of) obstacles/hardship (Saturn rules over restrictions/challenges/limitations/etc). The trine between Pluto and Mars gives you a drive for regrowth/regeneration; you may get knocked down, but you get up every time determined to be better than you were before. The trine between Saturn and Mars makes you a bit hard headed when it comes to facing problems. You can be like a dog with a bone bc you won’t stop until you feel you’ve “won” or solved whatever it is. This grand trine (between Saturn Mars, and Pluto) says to me that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Also, these 3 planets are all masculine, which might contribute to the masculine/dominant energy you have. Pluto has a lot to do with that too. Pluto being in your 1st gives you those Scorpio vibes everyone gets from you. Pluto here makes you come off as very intense, dark, and powerful (this is also in a sexual sense, which might explain why so many tops/doms say they would bottom/sub for you lol). Pluto also has to do with obsession and possessiveness, so you could be prone to those things or to being on the receiving end of them.

You also have a grand trine with Saturn, Mars, and your Ascendant (all fire signs btw lol, so much fire). Having these masculine planets in fire placements aspecting your ascendant, which is also a fire placement, means you come across as strong willed and ready to face adversity (this would be on first impression, but based on the first grand trine I mentioned, this is an accurate first impression and these things are integral to you). Having such prominent aspects to planets in fire signs means that you embody a lot of fire sign qualities despite being a Virgo sun.

The two grand trines plus your Mercury make me think that your professional potential is incredible. Mercury rules over things like thought process and communication, and yours is in Virgo and the 10th house. Virgo is ruled by Mercury naturally, so yours is very strong here. The 10th house is generally seen as the house of career, meaning your career would have something to do with thinking/communication (this makes sense to me bc psychology revolves heavily around those things). I also think it’s pretty interesting that you had to learn a second language to go to uni, and you managed to despite feeling that English didn’t come naturally to you. Your Moon also squares your Sun, which means you might experience some dissonance between your feelings/emotional needs and how your ego determines you act to express those feelings/get those needs met. I think that your Mercury, these aspects (Mercury square Moon, Moon square Sun), and your Leo Venus and Mars contribute a lot to the struggles your Chiron presents. You like to be the “funny friend” in your group, and maybe a bit of the “mom friend”. These roles satisfy the dominant elements in your chart (fire and earth). Being funny allows for quick gratification; most people smile or laugh pretty soon after something funny is said/done. It also lets you be the center of attention in a way that feels comfortable to you bc it’s under your control. These things satisfy the fiery parts of yourself (especially your Leo Mars and Venus). You’ve asked before why you attract so many water signs and I think all that might contribute. froy gutierrez. cismale. he/him. — did you see { matteo cabrera }, i haven’t seen the { twenty } year old in a while! you know, they’re a { comedian }, and have been living in jersey city for { two years }. some say they’re { possessive & dense }, but i think they’re { humorous & empathetic }. regardless, i’m glad { matty } is here.

backstory

he’s a sunny, sunshine child originally from arizona. his mom is a practical ceo and his dad is a retired athlete who really enforces the ‘be a man’ mindset while simultaneously crying over a john hughes movie. he also has a twin brother and two younger siblings whom he loves a lot . . . but none of that matters cuz he’s on the other side of the country and refuses to go home !

so . . . my boy. my baby boy. he’s a funny ducky. he likes to make people laugh, thrives off of it really. from the get go everyone was saying he should be a comedian, but it wasn’t a practical occupation and so he stuck it on the backburner as a hobby in favor of an attempted degree at zoology. he told himself was content with just tell jokes to endangered penguins in new zealand.

and then ! one fated open mic comedy night with his college bros led to being ‘discovered’ at the ripe age of 18 ! he dropped out and did all the gigs and tours he could get his hands on. for a whole, beautiful year he was the center spotlight for anyone who had a decent sense of humor ( or a decent eye - a lot of his fanbase were young girls lmao . . . ) and it was truly a dream come true

but yikes ! after a year, things started falling through. his offers were scrapped in favor of newer, fresher, and cuter guests and matty was tossed to the back burner. to say this upset him would be an understatement. due to his jealous nature, he simultaneously shut in and lashed out, promptly killing any remaining interest he still had holding on.

so now, too embarrassed to go home and with nowhere else to really go, he’s decided to just stick to where the last legs of his dream dropped him off: new jersey. it isn’t ideal, but it is better than the ‘i told you so’s from his mom back home. anything is better than facing his shame, so instead he’ll just escape and pretend like nothing is wrong ! he’s never been good at facing his issues and feelings head on.

sunny boy !! sunny sunny sunny boy ! absolutely loves to make people happy and laugh. always there to be a shoulder to cry on or a punching bag to scream at for anyone that needs it.

jealous and possessive. when he deems something as his he’ll become a catty little prick about letting it go. this applies to belongings, opportunities, and even people.

real bad at handling his emotions. he’s a really emotional guy and just never really learned how to channel them in super great ways. sometimes he’ll just ignore them and hope for the best and other times he’ll physically or verbally lash out.

I haven’t written much stuff that takes place during the time Molly and Ford crash at Angie’s place while Stan is in the hospital. So, here’s something that takes place during then. It was really fun to write, lmao.

Molly was asleep, curled up in aball in Marley’s old room. Angie sighedand wrapped her fingers snugly around her mug of herbal tea. It always took a few minutes for her to workup the courage for a conversation like this.

“Stanfordcan be trusted.” That’s what Fidds toldya. “He’s good folk.”

“Are- are you all right?” Fordasked hesitantly. Angie looked up,startled. Ford rubbed the back of hisneck. “You just seem a bit nervous. If- if you’re not comfortable housing Mollyand myself, we can find somewhere else to stay while we’re in San Diego.”

“No, Stanford, it ain’t that,”Angie said. Ford noddeduncertainly. She nodded at a chair atthe kitchen table. “Take a seat, I- Ineed to tell ya somethin’.”

“Okay,” Ford said slowly,sitting across from her. “…What is it?”

“Look, I- yer brother, he’s in abit of a rough spot, from what I understand. Is that right?”

“Yes.”

“I can help.”

“What do you mean?” Ford asked,leaning forward, curiosity piqued despite himself.

“Fidds said you were familiarwith, ah, ‘gifted’ folk. That correct?”

“Gifted…how?”

“With abilities. Y’know-” Angie wiggled her fingers in a vaguely “magical” gesture. It got her point across. Ford’s eyes widened.

“Are you-” he started. He stopped, then began again in anundertone. “Are you gifted withsupernatural abilities?”

“Yes.”

“Incredible,” Fordbreathed. “Why- why didn’t Fiddlefordtell me?” Angie smiled weakly.

“Well, Stanford, it ain’texactly his secret to share. And our fam’ly’sbeen persecuted fer it ‘fore. We’re morecareful now.”

“Is Fiddleford-?” Angie shook her head. “But if you’re-”

“The magic in the McGucketbloodline, it- it’s too diluted fer abilities to show up ‘cept fer underspecific circumstances anymore. Likebein’ born durin’ an eclipse or at twilight. Or bein’ a twin. But that don’thappen in the McGucket fam’ly anyways.”

“Then what’s your…specificcircumstance?” Ford asked.

“Goldarn, Fidds was right ‘boutya not knowin’ social niceties,” Angie said idly.

“Oh. My apologies.”

“No, it’s fine. I don’t expect ya to be well-versed on witch ‘nwizard etiquette.” Angie paused. “I’m a seventh child of a seventh child. That’s why I can, well…” Angie wiggled her fingers again. Ford frowned.

“I thought it was the seventhdaughter of a seventh daughter. Or viceversa, with sons.”

“The magic in our fam’ly ain’tso weak fer that,” Angie said proudly. “Atleast, not yet.”

“Wait…Fiddleford said he hadfive siblings. You’re only the sixthchild. Not the seventh child,” Ford saidslowly. Angie stilled.

“The rules don’t specify all thechildren have to be born alive,” Angie whispered.

“Don’t have to be…” Ford’s eyes widened. “Oh! Oh, I-” Ford ran a hand throughhis hair. “I’ve really overstepped mybounds now, haven’t I?” he said with a shaky laugh.

“Oh, hush. I ain’t goin’ to curse ya fer not knowin’ ‘bouta stillbirth,” Angie said shortly. Shegripped her mug of tea tighter. “I’mactually tellin’ ya all this fer the opposite.”

“What do you mean?”

“There are different schools ofmagic. One I’m ‘specially strong in ishealin’.” Angie bit her lip. “Now it’s my turn to overstep my bounds here,but, uh, I can get yer brother out of the hospital tomorrow. If ya want.”

“You can heal him?”

“I just said that,” Angie said, exasperated. “Stanford, pay attention!”

“I am. I’m just, startled, is all. Normally, there’s a price one has to pay forassistance from magical beings.”

“‘Magical bein’s’,” Angie repeatedwith a chuckle. “Yer quite the comedian,without meanin’ to be. Let me get thisstraight with ya. I’m human. Just more in tune with the world, isall. I can dip into that magic whatflows everywhere. Any human can do it,if’n they’ve got the right circumstance.”

“Any human?” Ford saideagerly. “Could you teach me?” Angie looked him up and down.

“Hmm. Maybe. But that’d cost ya. ‘Cause yerright. I can heal yer brother, but I’llwant somethin’ in return,” Angie said. Ford nodded reluctantly.

“I suspected. Name your price.”

“First off, I’d like to meet theman. From what Miss Molly says ‘bouthim, he’s quite the individual. And fromthe picture she has of him, he’s quite the looker.”

“You’d like to meet the personyou heal. Fair enough.”

“Second, let me take a peek atyer research on Gravity Falls. If whatFidds has been tellin’ me is true, there might be some clues ‘bout the originof the McGucket family magic somewhere up there.”

“By all means, do so. And if you have any insights that I missed,since I can’t ‘dip into the world’s magic’, feel free to inform me.”

“Third, ‘cause this sort ofhealin’ will cost me, I’ll need some of yer life force as collateral.”

“…What?”

“We’re both adults. We know how the world works,” Angie saidflatly. “I need reassurance that ya won’tutilize my services and then run off without payin’ me.”

“Even though this payment isincredibly informal?”

“Yes, Stanford,” Angie said, nowbeginning to get agitated. “You’ve donebusiness with magical folks ‘fore. Youknow how this goes. Any deal, anycontract, formal or informal, is binding.”

“Ye- yes, of course,” Fordstammered. A small twinge of guiltnudged at Angie, for using her “scary witch voice” on him.

No, Ishouldn’t feel guilty. It’s always thesmart ones what try to get out of the contract. I need to make sure he’ll do what he’s supposed to.

“Good. Now, what form would ya like the life forceto take?” Angie asked him, returning to an optimistic tone.

“What do you mean?”

“It can be one of yer skills, ora bit of yer energy, which won’t replenish until you’ve paid me in full, or evena couple years of yer life. In all of ‘em,I won’t add it to me, or use it, don’t worry. I’ll just put it in a pocket fer safekeepin’. Metaphorically, of course.”

“That last one…what does thatentail?” Ford asked curiously.

“Hmm, depends on my mood. It can mean takin’ a couple years of yerexperience and wisdom, in which case, you’ll get younger. Or it can mean takin’ a couple years of yerlife, in which case, you’ll get older.”

“I can’t really afford to loseany of my energy,” Ford murmured. “Orany of my skills.” Angie set her mug tothe side and took a hold of Ford’s hands.

“So it’s the years of life,then?”

“…Yes,” Ford confirmed.

“Sounds good to me. Don’t worry, I won’t take too much. Friends ‘n fam’ly discount.”

“Thank you?”

“Yer quite welcome.” Angie closed her eyes. Transferring life force was one of the first thingsshe’d learned how to do. It was secondnature to her at this point, and only took a couple minutes. She opened her eyes again. A smile quirked her lips. “Goodness, ya didn’t have much baby fat, didya?”

“What?” Ford asked. Angie reached out and unstuck a mirror magnetfrom the fridge, then slid it to Ford. Ford picked it up, marveling at his reflection.

“I was tempted to take more, ifonly ‘cause it’s always folks like you what try to get out of the deal,” Angiesaid idly. “But I can’t have thehospital staff not recognizin’ ya.”

“How much did you take?” Fordasked.

“That’s fer me to know, sugar, not you.” Angie cocked her head. “Fidds isclose to ya, though, so I’ll be kind and let ya know that it’d be illegal ferya to buy booze until I give yer years back. But ya can still buy cigarettes. Barely.”

Are you named after anyone? Nope! I’m named after a beach in Hawai’i. My parents were going to name me Jordan, which... honestly I still think would’ve fit me just fine. But they switched to [REAL NAME REDACTED] at pretty much the last possible second, apparently because the nurse insisted that she’d never met a more [REAL NAME REDACTED] looking baby in her entire life.

When was the last time you cried? Man, I cry all the damn time, but the last time was probably after I didn’t get the job I’d been interviewing for last week. I was pretty drunk at the time, and it kind of. Stopped and started a few times so. I’ll just say, in fairness: pretty much all of last Wednesday.

Do you like handwriting? I do! I worked really hard to perfect my own handwriting and I still get self conscious about it, which is weird because I find it fairly easy to read other people’s handwriting no matter how terrible it is. I guess I’m just a perfectionist?? Ehhhh

What’s your favorite lunch meat? Tofurkey. No I’m... I’m really serious. I went back to eating meat almost a year ago now, but I still buy fake lunchmeat, because I legitimately like it better.

Do you have kids? Not yet, but I will eventually.

If you were another person would you be friends with you? Yeah, I probably would. I’m friends with a lot of different kinds of people, and even if we never vibed seriously, I know myself, and I know I go way out of my way for people -- I’m funny, and I’m kind, and I give people a lot of free stuff, which is pretty much the key to getting people to like you. I think I’d honestly like me better if I didn’t have to actually be me all the time.

Do you use sarcasm? No, never. Do you?

What’s your favorite cereal? Honestly, it’s probably either Trix or Honey Nut Chex, but I can never afford either, so I just stick to my Special K with Strawberries because I honest to God think they forget to charge the right amount for it.

Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Lmao yeah but only when I have to. I used to be able to just kick my workshoes off or toe em on and go, but my new ones always have to be tied and untied which probably adds a solid 4 minutes onto my commute

Do you think you’re a strong person? Yeah. I don’t like that I have to be, but I know that I am.

What’s your favorite ice cream? Mint chocolate chip. It’s boring, but I love it.

What’s the first thing you notice about people? Size, skin color, and then, oddly, whether or not I think they could take me in a fight. I actually hone in on this quicker than on almost any other attribute. How confident I am around someone initially is usually based on this assessment; the people I try to either butter up or avoid at all costs are people who, I am usually forced to acknowledge, I do not think I could take in a fight.

What’s the least favorite thing you like about yourself? Man, a lot of things -- but mostly, my least favorite thing about myself is how I have this part of my brain that constantly hounds and attacks me over any tiny mistake I ever make. My internal peace is constantly disturbed by a shitty little voice that degrades my accomplishments and blows my missteps way out of proportion until I feel like I’m not worthy of love or success or life itself. What’s your favorite smell? I have a super sensitive noise, so I love a whole bunch of smells. Probably my default favorite is vanilla? But I love the smell of oranges and lemons, too -- roses -- jasmine -- a match right after it goes out -- my grandma’s favorite brand of laundry detergent -- my mom’s house where I grew up -- dog fur -- my best friend from high school’s deodorant -- incense -- mint.

Favorite food to eat? I love Indian food to death, which is all @mochalatt3‘s fault if we’re being totally honest. I also really like Italian, Mexican, and Japanese.

Scary movies or comedy? I kind of hate both? Generally? Scary movies I hate viscerally and often cannot sit through. Comedies... I just hate the trappings of. Like, gimme an OLD comedy and maybe we can talk, but modern comedy movies just. Ugh. They’re gross, unfunny garbage and I just. No thanks.

Last movie you watched? Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid for an online class I’m taking. It wasn’t my favorite, but it was a good movie.

Summer or winter? Summer, although I don’t feel too strongly one way or the other.

What book are you currently reading? I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up For Education and Was Shot by the Taliban. It’s a really good book - and timely, I think - but it’s a punch in the throat, emotionally.

Who do you miss right now? @mochalatt3 and @calamitylena who I literally always miss, constantly, because no amount of being together with either of them would ever be enough, being close to them is nourishment for my soul and I die a little bit every second that we’re apart.

What’s on your mousepad? There is no mousepad. Only mouse

What’s the last TV show you watched? I’m thinking about watching every Dukat episode of DS9 just all in a row.

What’s the best sound? My best friends laughing. Honestly, when I’m really upset, I’ll just think about the sound of my best friends’ laughter and it makes me feel better.
