Carnelian historically has been used in jewelry for thousands of years and we definitely could understand why once we started this project.
Connecting the Heart, Root, and Sacral chakras, the vibrant rich colors we associate with this orangish red Chalcedony is one of the most widely recognized varieties of quartz. Sometimes darker and harder varieties are distinguished by the name 'Sard'
In Egyptian times, the deceased would be adorned with a Carnelian necklace symbolizing the Blood of Isis and their protection into the afterlife. During the Japanese Iron Age (300 A.D.) the deceased were found with Carnelian amulets around their necks. The 29th chapter of the book of the dead in Egypt is notably inscribed in a tablet of Carnelian. Both Napoleon I and II wore a seal of Carnelian during their ruling. Furthermore, the prophet Muhammed was said to have worn a ring of Carnelian on the little finger of his right hand.
Understandably this particular stone has a big place in history, being associated with metaphysical healing properties.
Strength, Courage, Confidence, Grounding, Creativity and Manifestation are abound with this particular stone.
Carnelian is also said to be of aid in manners of sexual intimacy as well, and some say it can help those afflicted by menstrual difficulties, difficult pregnancies, and erectile dysfunction.

Also featured in this personal power set, is Citrine. While most citrine on the market today is heat treated Amethyst (Post coming shortly about this) these beads are natural chips (you can tell by their clarity and lightness of color)
Citrine is the name given to yellowish-light orange quartz caused by iron inclusions.
Multiple civilizations have used the word Citrion to describe any yellow gemstone in color. Oftentimes, these gemstones were actually Quartz, Topaz, Jade, Aventurine, and Beryls (Aquamarine, and Heliodor). To this date, we cannot find a defining period of when the naming of Citrine (Iron-included-Quartz) had occurred.
Inspiration, Clarity, Joy, Abundance, Fortune, Luck, and of course the balancing of our polarities. Needless to say this little stone is a powerhouse and one of our personal favorites!
It has also been said to help with anxiety relief as a reminder of our personal power it can help the user to make choices for themself rather than for other people.
