Heimdall and Thor's mother genuinely like Jane without even meeting her. Others don't like it or don't care.
When Odin threw him on a backwater planet, he didn't know his son will find the next Queen there. As is shown, he has had many lovers before in his 1500-year-long life, but with Jane, everyone just knows he's dead serious about her.
Also, everyone just knows what happened on Midgard: Odin in his Odinsleep, Loki makes a r*pey comment about paying her a visit (what the f?), Sif and Frigga talk about her (though this could be Sif recounting her experience on Midgard to the All-Mother but the point is that they know), and of course, the all-seeing Heimdall.
I'm assuming the word spread (accentuated by the Warriors Three) and the general public also has an inkling about their Crown Prince's dalliance with a Midgardian maiden on his exile.
1. Odin is obv unapproving because she's not a blue blood like them - a royal or even an Aesir. She is as far away from being an ideal daughter-in-law as she can be. He pushes for Sif. And his argument for that is this:
*clenches fist* We need to talk about this line.
This is his view of a Queen, that she'd serve the King like a servant by bearing him children and present herself to being used by him whenever he pleases. That's vile.
He's not in favor of Sif, he just wants Not-Jane. Anyone but a lowlife Midgardian. Why? Because her flimsy lifetime makes her unfit to 'serve' the King. And an Aesir woman would be able to do it better. The Aesir women 'lying' in front of him like things!
What's worse is that Thor doesn't even react to his father's abhorrent way of thinking :(, he's so used to it. Thor would never treat his Queen this way, jeez!
But Reddit and Tumblr keep telling me how great it is that Thor is given parallels with this man in Thor3 and Thor4 as tho he was a positive influence on him :)
I thought Odin would eventually come around on Jane but his hostility only increases when Frigga dies 'because of her'. And he just never approves of her till he lived, not even for his son's sake :(
I headcanon that Odin stayed near Thor and Jane's home when he was exiled by Loki and saw how happy Thor was with her.
2. Loki is actually understanding of how much wrong Thor is doing to himself by setting himself up for much bigger hurt. He should cut ties now when it will hurt less rather than later when she dies in a fraction of his lifetime anyway, leaving a gaping hole in his heart.
He's right but no one understands the predicament my man was stuck in. He had already done what Loki is saying by breaking his promise and not going back so Jane could move on with her life and contented himself with looking at her from Asgard. But when she got in mortal danger because she was looking for him, he can't just leave her now. He had to do justice to her this time, All-Father be damned.
I find it fascinating that Odin's opinion of Jane was about kingship and Loki's was about love and companionship.
3. Frigga and Heimdall are fully approving of her :D
She has all but accepted her as her daughter-in-law and given her blessings to them. She died saving her. What more can you ask of her?!
And Heimdall is the only one who knows about his longing for her (that little laugh when he first asks her if he can see her at the end of Thor1). He knows how much Thor hurt himself by asking about her every day when he was never going to go back.
Also, I'm certain the Aesir people will be pretty accepting of her as their Queen, given how peaceful they're shown to be. :)

A poet is what he is in himself. Gertrude Stein used to distinguish between a person who is an 'entity' and one who has an 'identity.' A significant man is an entity. Identity is what they give you socially. Your little dog recognizes you and therefore you have an identity. An entity, by contrast, an impersonal power, can be a frightening thing. It's as T. S. Eliot said of William Blake. A man like Tennyson was merged into his environment or encrusted with parasitic opinion, but Blake was naked and saw man naked, and from the center of his own crystal. There was nothing of the 'superior person' about him, and this made him terrifying. That is an entity. An identity is easier on itself. An identity pours a drink, lights a cigarette, seeks its human pleasures, and shuns rigorous conditions. The temptation to lie down is very great.

Writers who deal with Jason and Cass's morality conflict without taking sides, or using them a vehicle for moralising, or reducing two profundly compassionate and empathetic characters to their respective trauma-informed worldviews, are the heroes this fandom deserves.
Jason isn't defined by his righteous need to commit homicide and Cassie isn't a brat who uses her superior skills to coerce other people into submission. They're so much more than an endless debate about the sanctity of life and moral complicity. Neither of them are inflexible, static and one-dimensional characters who can never develop in unpredictable ways. The point is to tell a convincing story of that journey. Social media accounts can just be a collection of opinions, but fictional characters exist to leave them behind and explore the gamut of human experience.
(This is a stan detoxification post. Do not start shit on it. I love both my babies and I'm tired.)

i think something people forget about pink diamond is that she had compassion for life long before she went to earth
the pebbles assume steven is pink not because of his gem or aura but just because he says ‘hello’ and ‘thank you’ to them, a basic common courtesy that nobody else has given them in thousands of years
in steven’s pink visions, blue is yelling at pink about the little bugs she let loose on homeworld. when one of them is found in her cell, she is quick to check it’s okay before helping it out of the room. even before encountering humans she valued organic life.
even the garden, the setting of pink’s cruellest moment, is proof of her care for organic life. Unlike every other part of homeworld, the garden is teeming with plant-life, which was kept healthy enough that it continued to grow even after pink abandoned it. the only other homeworld structure that tends to organic life is the human zoo. who’s to say the garden wasn’t another attempt by the other diamonds to placate pink after she expressed concern for the life on one of their colonies? or maybe pink picked the plants herself from the many different colonies she visited and grew them there.
pink wasn’t perfect. she had a bad habit of acting on her emotions and impulses without considering the consequences of her actions, and she hurt a lot of people because of it. but she considered all life precious and worth protecting, it just wasn’t until she had a colony of her own that she fully understood that the expansion of homeworld was intrinsically linked to the destruction of life, and the moment she realised that is the moment she stood against it.

yo how're you doing?
I just realized I never asked you your ideal date
Like, fancy or cozy? Outside or inside? City or seaside/mountains/lave/cliffs? Ushhh tell us !
Have the nicest of all days!!!
-✨
“Also, would you rather organize a date for your s.o. or having your s.o. organizing it for you?
Forgot to add this question to the date question”
Not to worry as i added it back for you haha😌
I’m doing okay! Not a lot going on lately tbh which is neither good nor bad i suppose! Thanks for asking and I hope you’re doing well too :)!!
This question actually kind of threw me off since I don’t think I’ve ever thought about what an ideal date would be honestly. If it’s an established relationship I’d probably prefer just to stay home and have a day in with them lol - to no one’s surprise.
But if it’s a first date we’d definitely have to go somewhere! It’s a little basic but I love bookstores so that would probably be the most fun place someone could take me though thinking on it I’m not sure how much conversation I’d give if I’m too busy looking at books🤔
Idk! I’m not a very exciting person so I don’t really have an interesting answer to this question lol, I like staying home and going to places in my orbit, I’ve never even been to the seaside/mountains/lava/cliffs lol
I don’t think I have a preference for who organizes it either! I love doing things for other people but I’m also usually the one who has to plan things with my friends so someone else doing it for me would be really nice I think :)
