Taking Care of Them
Short scenarios about Argenti, Aventurine, and Jing Yuan receiving much-needed care and comfort from you. Pure fluff, a little hurt/comfort for Aventurine's part.
I took some creative liberties with Aventurine's character since we still don't know everything about him yet, so this is simply my interpretation of him.
This isn't proofread because my brain is fried from writing.
--------------------
🌹 Argenti:
As a Knight of Beauty, Argenti is a highly skilled fighter who puts his very life on the line to vanquish his foes. Usually, he defeats his enemies with grace and style, but even the refined Argenti sometimes sustains injuries.
In his most recent battle, Argenti made it out practically unscathed, save for a few scrapes and bruises that marred his handsome face. That was how he found himself obediently sitting on your bed while you treated his wounds.
“I apologize that you have to see me in this state,” he murmurs, guilt darkening his expression. “I did not want to cause you worry.”
“No need to apologize,” you brush off his concerns with a smile. “Now turn this way. I’ll clean the scratch on your cheek,” you said as you gently turn Argenti’s face to one side to reveal the shallow, red gash on his cheek.
Argenti complies without hesitance and sits perfectly still as you dab at the scratch with a cotton ball soaked in alcohol. It stings, but the Knight of Beauty unflinchingly tolerates the burn with a small smile on his face.
He can tell through the delicate and careful way you clean and dress his wounds that you care a great deal about him. Your touches were gentle so as to not cause him unnecessary pain, yet no less thorough. It felt nice to be touched so tenderly, to be cared for in such a loving manner.
Your heart is beautiful, he thinks. To possess such a caring and loving heart, you must rival the beauty of his beloved Aeon Idrila. Argenti truly believes that you are a wonderful and beautiful person, both inside and out.
As you finish patching up the last wound and pack away your first aid kit, Argenti turns to you and gives you a radiant, sincere smile from the heart.
“Thank you…” he softly says as gently takes one of your hands and kisses the back of it, “You have a dazzling heart—so pure and gentle. I feel like the luckiest man in the universe to have the privilege of receiving your care and affection.”
His words may sound over-the-top and perhaps even fake, but he truly means them. Every single one. Even if you don’t entirely believe him, the amused smile that his flamboyant phrases elicit out of you is all the reason he needs to keep them up.
“You’re welcome. Just try to be more careful next time. I’ll love you no matter how you look, but I hate seeing you hurt,” you murmur in reply and lean in to kiss the band-aid on his cheek.
“There. A kiss to make it all better,” you giggle as you pull away.
The little gesture catches Argenti by surprise, but he can’t say he didn’t like it. In fact, he enjoyed it more than he ever thought he would.
With a small chuckle, he pulls you close to kiss you fully on the lips. If you don’t take his word for it that he feels incredibly lucky to have your love, then perhaps his actions will convey the sincerity of his feelings for you.
🃏 Aventurine:
All his life, Aventurine has faced hate. Hate for being Sigonian, hate for being a dog of the IPC, hate for acting exactly the way that’s expected of his kind. He played into people’s perceptions of him. Why waste time trying to correct their views when they won’t change? It’s easier to just act according to their expectations and hide who he really is behind this playful and sly mask.
Only with you does he let his carefully crafted façade crumble to reveal his vulnerable self.
Aventurine is very good at acting like everything is fine when the world is against him. Perhaps to an extent, he truly believes that life is all about fighting battles on his lonesome. He can use others and get used as a tool in return, but the only one he can trust is himself. It’s the only life he’s ever known.
However, you’ve known him long enough to tell that the hate and isolation get to him, no matter how much he pretends that they don’t. When he comes home one night after a particularly awful day, it doesn’t take long for you to figure out that he feels down.
Aventurine smiled and teased you like usual, but he spoke less and clung to you more than usual. He hugged you from behind and kept an arm around you no matter what you were trying to do, almost as if he was seeking comfort from your physical presence.
Turning to face him, you glance into his tired eyes.
“What is it, darling? See something you like?” he teased, the corner of his mouth tugging into a smirk.
“Hmm, no,” you hummed. Extending your arms forward, you wrapped them around Aventurine and slowly pulled him into a hug. “I don’t see something I like.”
Aventurine is momentarily stunned by your unprompted action, but he quickly recovers.
“Oh? How come? Am I not appealing enough for you?” he quipped, resting his chin on your shoulder and returning your hug. Unlike your tight hug, his arms wrapped around you in a loose hold, as if he was uncertain how to go about it.
“Quite the opposite,” you softly chuckle, “I don’t see something I like, but I do see someone I love,” you whisper and turn your head to look directly at Aventurine’s face.
A beat of silence passes as Aventurine processes your words, before bursting out laughing.
“That was painfully corny, even for you!” he chuckled.
You scoff but don’t say anything in response, simply continuing to hug him tightly. Slowly, carefully, you card your fingers through his blond hair before moving lower to stroke your palm along his spine in soothing circles.
Aventurine’s laughter dies down, his initial mirth now replaced with something fragile and vulnerable as he falls quiet. He won’t ever share what burdens him, but you don’t need to know the details to provide him comfort. If he doesn’t want to tell you, then you won’t pry. At the very least, you’ll do all you can to support him and remind him that he’s not alone.
Being wrapped up in your warm embrace, feeling your gentle caresses—it all felt unfamiliar to Aventurine. It’s been so long since he felt the tender and loving affection of another person. It took a while, but eventually he relaxed and allowed himself to lean into your body, burying his nose into the crook of your neck.
Silence lingered in the air, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. There was something soothing in not having to talk. It was freeing to not worry about pretending to be okay or be pressured to talk about the things that trouble him.
That hug—that simple act of human affection—made him feel safe and protected in your arms. When you leaned back slightly to plant a tender kiss on Aventurine’s forehead, something inside him snapped and he had to hold back tears. Burying his face deeper into the crook of your neck, he clung tightly to you while you continued to rub slow circles along his back.
“It’s okay. It’ll all be okay, I’m here. You’re not alone…” you whisper, hugging him tighter.
Being wrapped up in your warm hug, feeling your affectionate kisses and gentle words is something Aventurine never knew he needed until now. Just for this moment, he lets his walls come down and bares his wounded self to you with the hope that you can soothe his pain if only a little.
And you do. With whispered reassurances and loving caresses, you ease his hurt, even if just temporarily. He is safe, you promise. He will always be safe in your arms.
🦁 Jing Yuan:
Jing Yuan is notorious for disliking the abundance of paperwork and other leadership tasks he has to take care of on a day-to-day basis as a General of the Xianzhou Luofu. Despite his woeful sighs about how tedious it is, and how the work never seems to end, Jing Yuan still accomplishes all his duties in a timely and precise fashion.
Jing Yuan is a hard worker, you are well aware of that. Which is why when he snuck out of the Seat of Divine Foresight to come spend some free time with you, you offered him to rest on your lap. And who was he to turn down such a tempting opportunity?
Sitting outside on the veranda with Jing Yuan’s head resting on your lap, you softly ran your fingers through his fluffy, white hair, marveling at how silky it was. It was as soft as it looked.
“I could get used to this,” Jing Yuan said with a sigh, relaxing into our touch. His golden eyes were closed as he enjoyed the sensations of your fingers combing through his hair, gently massaging his scalp and soothing any tension he felt.
Chuckling, you looked down at him, mirth dancing in your eyes.
“Really? I wouldn’t mind having you as my lap cat like this more often. Why not come see me every day and get pets?” you tease him as you lightly poke his cheek.
Jing Yuan cracks open one eye to give you an amused look.
“Being your lap cat sounds like a wonderful idea,” he sighs, “Laying on your lap and getting pampered sounds like my ideal life.”
Both of you burst out laughing at the ridiculous notion of Jing Yuan being a lap cat, your spirits lifting as the mood brightened even more.
“Ah, but if you ever want to take a break and relax, you’re always welcome to see me,” you say in a softer voice this time, resuming running your fingers through his tresses.
“I’ll keep your invitation in mind,” he replied, his voice dropping an octave as he relaxed into your touch once more.
The minutes pass in a comfortable and serene atmosphere, with you pampering Jing Yuan with affectionate caresses, meanwhile, the man listens to you talk about your day. You both knew that after this he would have to go back and complete the mountain of work waiting for him, but for now, you were content to spend this little bit of time with your beloved.
Under the warm sun and gentle breeze, with his head resting comfortably on your lap, Jing Yuan felt himself growing drowsy. His eyelids became heavier, and his body didn’t want to move from his position on your lap.
Noticing the General grow sleepy, you fought the urge to tease him. If you pointed out his sleepiness, he would most likely apologize and put a stop to this tranquil moment by getting up and heading back to work. He already saw you less than either of you wanted, simply because work kept him busy. Moments like these were a luxury.
Keeping quiet, you gently massage his scalp until his breaths even out and become deeper, seeming to have fallen asleep. His expression looked so serene and vulnerable, something that very few people have had the chance to witness. As his lover, you were privy to this sight more than most. You watch over him with a small smile on your face, gently tucking away a stray strand of his hair.
Thinking he was asleep, you lean down to press a lingering kiss to his forehead, but as you straighten, you notice Jing Yuan peering up at you with an amused glint in his eyes.
Growing flustered, you quickly look away, feeling your cheeks heat up with a blush.
Jing Yuan only laughs in response, but his laughter quickly turns into a contented purr as you shut him up with another head massage. Whatever teasing remark he had prepared, immediately died on his tongue as relaxation washed over him and he felt sleep take hold of his mind again.
“It’s ok, take a nap. I’ll wake you up in a few minutes,” you murmur, willing Jing Yuan to finally get some rest. You could tell he wanted to protest, but with a light brush of your thumbs over his temples, he released a sigh of defeat and conceded.
“You certainly know how to take advantage of my weaknesses,” he chuckled, voice a little hoarse from drowsiness.
Despite his initial reluctance, Jing Yuan fell asleep fairly quickly. The continuous days of endless work had left him exhausted, but your tender pampering and sweet company were just the respite he needed.
“Sleep tight,” you whisper, gracing him with another sweet kiss on his forehead.

Joel Miller had always been a man of confidence.
Being left as a single father for Sarah at an early age, he’s been through thick and thin, trying his best to make ends meet so that they wouldn’t have to end up in one of those run-down shelters. But never once did he question his ability to attract women.
He’s always had it in him. With a mere glance from his expressive eyes, he can ensnare hearts and leave an everlasting impression on anyone fortunate enough to encounter him. Rugged masculinity and striking refinement; a deathly mix that kept girls swarming after him like bees. After the world descended into chaos, he’s not much different either. Perhaps the bone-deep trauma had left him looking eternally exhausted with sunken eyebags, or that gray filaments started becoming a welcomed addition to his beard, but all in all he’s still charming.
He didn’t have to seek, because people seek for him. Joel had plenty of erotic rendezvous in times where society crumbled and the rule of law eroded, more so now that everyday could be his last and he didn’t have the privilege to take it slow like a true Southern gentleman. He’s done it everywhere. Inside a stuffy closet while hiding from a clicking monstrosity, behind a thin wall while her husband sat cluelessly on the other side, and even taking sexual compensation for his little business. Joel Miller wasn’t a saint. Neither he one for God and he’d like to make it obvious.
Nowadays though, within the tall foreboding walls of Jackson City, that type of attention has faded away. He’s no longer getting those longing stares from across the floor, no longer being begged to corrupt just for some extra wad of cards, no longer being flirted and fawned over like a goddamn stud. Joel didn’t have any problem with it at first. He’s growing old. Instead of those naughty strands of white peeking out of his head, he’s now a complete mix of salt and pepper. Instead of just having a fun smile line, forehead rolls and crows’ feet are now imprinted deep into every crevice. Joel wasn’t the man he used to be.
He’s weathered away, he thought, unsuited for fun and adventure.
Perhaps it had something to do with his daughter as well. Even when Ellie’s not from his actual blood, everyone in town viewed her that way. He’s her father. Thus, everyone seemed to perceive and treat him as merely a father and not as an actual person that has his own needs and wants. Joel loved his daughter. Terribly so in ways he couldn’t decipher. A part of him has made up his mind that this would be how he should spend the rest of his life: in celibacy. Though the retirement of his sexual and romantic life has slowly taken a toll towards his self-esteem. Tommy, who’s always known to be rather slow and imperceptive, was surprisingly the first one to take notice of his gradual change.
“Maria told me you might be here.”
Tommy’s gruff voice brought him out of his trance. Joel looked up, meeting the familiar figure crouch to get into his little workshop. It was his newfound hobby these days, becoming a hermit and isolating himself from the community. He’d craft a wooden figure or two each night while he relived each and every one of his memories. Good and bad. Of death and of birth. Then by the end of the night he’d feel mildly satisfied with a wooden sculpture shaped like memorabilia from the old world. Joel couldn’t admit it outloud, but insecurity had taken over him. It festered deep into his soul that he couldn’t even bear looking at himself in the mirror anymore or present himself to society.
“Yeah, just..” he paused to ponder on a better way to answer. “Just doin’ my own thing.”
“You skippin’ dinner again?” Tommy’s curiosity sounded oddly suspicious, enough that Joel already knew he’s about to say something obnoxious or entirely uncalled for. The older quirked his thick eyebrows in return.
“Made myself my own plate,” Joel cocked his head towards where a lone plate sat. Judging from the crimson stain smeared on top, it must’ve been one of those canned pastas that he picked out.
“Brother..” Tommy started out, visibly nervous of how his brother would take it. “Is there something wrong?”
“With me?”
“Yeah, with you.”
“No, not that I could think of,” Joel hummed. “I ain’t bitten or anythin’, why are ya asking such a dumb question anyway?”
“You’re just different these days,” Tommy reasoned with a small frown. “You barely come out of your house and if you do, you’re huddled up in this place, carving things for hours on end.”
“There’s nothin’ wrong with wanting to be alone. Is there?” he challenged.
“No, but you’re.. different. Almost like your mind’s troubled for once.”
“There’s nothin’ wrong, Tommy,” he insisted.
Joel was actively avoiding the accusations. He stood up from where he’s been perched upon for hours on end, bringing his half-carved wooden slab with him to set it on one of the displays he had. He’s grown quite the collection. It’s been going on far longer than he’d expected, the crippling fear of being undesirable and hideous, and it brought up an immense feeling of embarrassment. He couldn’t possibly admit such things to Tommy, could he? Tommy was different from him. His first child was on its way to be birthed, but girls still chatter about his charming smile and strong figure. They’d still gossip and make dirty guesses about his size. How long he endured such activities, the position he enjoyed best, and how sweet he was to his partner.
Tommy couldn’t possibly understand his fear.
“You can’t help me even if I told ya,” he grumbled.
“Put some trust in me, will ya?” Tommy chuckled as he spun around his seat to follow Joel’s every move. “Tell me what’s troublin’ you, big brother.”
“They don’t look at me the same way.”
“Who doesn’t?”
“The ladies,” Joel muttered.
His words were barely above a whisper. It almost seemed as if he saw the phenomenon as something humiliating, up to the point where he couldn’t even look Tommy in the eye in fear of having him laugh. He’s never talked about this with anyone else. It didn’t help that he truly didn’t have anyone to talk to in general aside from the few acquaintances his brother introduced him to and well.. Ellie. But none of them seem to be the right person to talk to regarding this.
Regarding his failure in masculinity. His unspoken worries that he didn’t have any of the strong, chiseled jawline or any of the tightly packed abdomen with six separate squares to admire. He’s grown old and weak. Five years ago, he could’ve probably still sweet-talk his way into a woman's heart, but now he couldn’t even look one in the eye without the fear of being put to shame.
“They still do, Joel,” Tommy assured him. He’s telling the truth. Joel knew that Tommy didn’t have it in him to lie, he’d have sounded like a strangled bird or a squeaky dog’s toy if he did. But his mind couldn’t believe it one bit.
“I don’t know, Tommy..” he muttered. “They don’t look at me the same way. They don’t look at me at all even.. and I’m fine with that I 'spose. I ain’t a whorin’ bastard who couldn’t accept that he’s agin’..”
“But they do, Joel.”
“I’m old,” he sucked in the air. “Lately there are these moments where I.. where I’d look a girl in the eye and all I could feel was humiliation.”
“Humiliation?”
“Like they’re lookin’ at me as if I’m some.. some sort of repulsive creature,” he whispered. “I feel like I could hear ‘em gigglin’ with their girlfriends on how shameless I am.”
Tommy was deduced into silence. Time ticked by as he cranked up his brain to figure out the best way to aid his older brother out of his misery. It’s all in his head, Tommy knew that Joel knew that as well, but it’s easier patching up an oozing wound than a troubled mind. He brought his hand together on top of his jeans as he waited for the younger to make another comment, whether of comfort or of a harsh reality.
“I’ll offer you a solution,” Tommy spoke up. “But you gotta promise not to lose your head over it.”
“It ain’t drugs, is it?”
“No, no..” Tommy chuckled humorlessly.
“I’m open to anythin’” Joel dropped his arms to his side as he curiously eyed Tommy.
“Have you ever heard of a glory hole?”
Joel’s expression contorted in such a way that the younger Miller couldn’t possibly read what he’s thinking any longer.
“I ain’t goin’ outside those borders just to go to some sketchy brothel, Tommy. That’d be pathetic.”
“Well, the thing is this whole operation ain’t sketchy,” Tommy reasoned. “The girls were tested and approved by the local doctor before..”
“Local doctor? You tellin’ me this is happenin’ within Jackson?”
“I operate it, Joel,” he sighed, knowing he’s about to be bombarded with a handful of questions. “And before you ask, no this ain’t considered prostitution as there’s no material exchange.”
“You mean..”
“Yes. The girls do it for free. Volunteers. They do it for their own pleasure and I help make their dreams come true.”
Joel looked at his own brother as if he was a mad man. Who wouldn’t? When he’s just told him that they had an actual glory hole installed without most of the public knowing. Or perhaps they knew, they were just not talking about it in front of Joel.
“Ten to twelve. There’s a small house across the sheep field. One girl every Friday night.”
“Jesus Christ, Tommy. Maria knows about this?”
Tommy shifted uncomfortably on the stool.
“No, but it’s better off she doesn’t.”
Joel felt his morals set askew for a second. This sounded like a terrible idea, despite the fact that he’s confirmed it himself that it’d be the safest a glory hole could possibly be. He scratched his beard and took it into deep consideration.
In the quiet stillness of a winter’s night, the world was wrapped in a soft, white blanket of snow. The moon hung low in the dark sky - a beacon towards those who chose to travel in the deepest hours of nighttime. Joel blew puffs of warm air onto his gloved fingertips, hoping it’d satiate the coolness that made his joints ache and his skin itch. The air was crisp and biting, each breath producing a frosty cloud which quickly amalgamated into the air. He watched as gentle snowflakes, alike to elegant ballet dancers, fell from the heavens up above and twirled and swirled into an intricate pattern. He’s been waiting for way too long.
“So what are ya sayin’? Are you gonna let me take you tomorrow night?” Tommy broke the silence.
Tumblr media
Tommy promised to meet him on the edge of the sheep field, where they’d herd livestocks all throughout the warmer times of the year, but he’s yet to see his tall nose and dark hair from any of the cardinal directions. He’s been waiting for too long to keep the same mindset Tommy’s trained him into, that this was simply a beneficial exchange for every party involved and that he shouldn’t feel shameful for something so instinctive. Waiting gave him time to weigh out the cons, how this was naturally an act of debauchery that wounded both his moral values and beliefs. He ain’t a God preacher, but he’s sure to keep some of those Southern manners.
Maybe this was a bad idea.
None of Tommy’s ideas are ever well thought out. Starting from his sudden gravitation towards the military, to his desires to hand over his entire life towards the Fireflies, and now this. He knew his younger brother wasn’t the brightest of men, but creating an entire glory hole to keep the town’s morale up might be the stupidest one he’s heard yet. Especially when Maria’s not aware of it. He feared for the day when the beans spilled out of its jar, but tonight wasn’t that day. During the time in which he contemplated his decisions, Joel didn’t notice the crunching of snow against thick boots. Tommy was here and he looked far too calm for a self-made procucer.
Tommy beckoned him to follow the path his boots had made. Joel sucked in some of that painfully cold air into his lungs, before he stuffed his hands in his pockets and started trailing along. There were a few street lamps across the field, a ruddy glow emanating from them as they were adorned with a light dusting of snow. He kept his guards up while he scanned through the whistling field of crop, that traumatized part of him always keeping in check of abrupt movements and unsettling sceneries. After a quiet walk for a good three minutes, they finally arrived. The house fronts looked dark enough, and the windows even darker, contrasting with the smooth white sheet of snow upon the roofs.
There was snow piling up outside as well, dirtier ones whose last deposit had been plowed up in deep furrows by the heavy wheels of carts and wagons. He scrutinized over the tracks, wondering if this was meant to be used as a makeshift grain tower. If it was, then Tommy must’ve been a great scheming asshole to turn such a place into his own little heaven. Not one soul was around, which confused Joel even more. Wasn’t this supposed to be a public glory hole? Weren’t it supposed to be disgustingly packed with sweating men, adorned with walls covered in left-over spurts of cum and other bodily fluids, and smelled like sex itself?
Joel continued to pursue Tommy even when he’s overly skeptical about this entirely new scene. His boots were scuffed as he was dragging his feet through the front door, a fight against his defense system that’s begging him to flee out the door at the unfamiliarity. The establishment consisted of a long narrow hallway that eventually led up to an imposing door. Wooden, large, and mysterious.
To his surprise, what was beyond that door wasn’t some tacky sex dungeon with rattling chains and leather whips, it was a modest looking box. Square, he’d assume one meter wide and half a meter tall. He took in the wood it was made from. His pointer finger slowly traced the circumference out of habit. Oak, he concluded, making it sturdy and cool even in the warmer weather. What he failed to notice from the get-go was a pair of legs that were stretched open, chained onto the wall from the considerably-sized gap. Joel’s heart dropped to his stomach, he forgot for an entire minute what he was planning to do, and he’s starting to get cold feet.
“Darlin’, I’ve got someone for you,” Tommy cooed.
“You do, Tommy?”
Normally, people acquire hobbies in order to soothe their brief but occasional boredom, though you have discovered a unique way to tackle long hours of the night. This brilliant discovery of yours was birthed from a fated moment. One where you accidentally stumble across the conversation Tommy had with one of his patrol friends. It began a fantasy in your head. One you didn’t believe could come true until you overheard a passionate storytelling session one of the barmaids gave their friend. Only then did you gather enough courage to talk to Tommy about it. Despite his initial disapproval, saying things like you look too good and gentle to be doing such things, you managed to convince him with a week's worth of nagging.
“Mhm, one of my good friends here,” he hummed. “You’ll let him use you like a good fucking girl, won’t you?”
Goosebumps trailed from your backbone down to where your legs spread wide. Your nervousness made you flinch, effectively causing your legs to rattle against the metal restraints.
“Yes, I will, Tommy.”
When did you get so.. obedient?
“Alright then. I’ll see you in um.. twenty?”
“Thirty,” the foreign voice spoke up, masculine with a twinge of accent.
“Thirty it is.”
The entire room went quiet for an entire minute, only then did you finally hear the door slammed back shut. You swallowed back the throbbing fear in your heart, pushing back those persistent thoughts constantly warning you of the dangers. Even if you trusted Tommy with all your life, you didn’t trust the random strangers Tommy’s picked out. How could you trust them when you didn’t know who they were for sure? They could’ve been someone you see on the daily. The friendly guards, the cafeteria guy who’d always beam a sweet smile your way and give out more bread than standard, or even.. Tommy’s hunk of a brother. The same one who wouldn’t even spare you a look when you’re obviously sending heart eyes his way.
“Darlin’ is your name, ain’t that right?”
There was something so.. alluring about his voice. The type that makes your knees buckle inevitably, despite your best efforts to push it apart.
“That’s right,” you squeaked out.
“Darlin’, it’s been a long long time since I’ve done this, so let me indulge in you alright?”
“Okay,” you breathed out unsurely.
Your eyes instinctively followed the direction of the hushed voice, but all you could see from the dim box was a piece of dark fabric that was hung from above the hole. It was to keep your identity a secret so that the patrons across from you could only see you from the belly button down. Though now you felt more inclined than ever to pull on the draping and meet this man’s eyes. Your thoughts soon diminished when you felt a large hand over your inner thighs. Nowhere dangerous, just resting below where your kneecaps sat. You closed your eyes to try and envision the kind of hands touching you.
Were they soft and unsullied like a baby’s bum? Or were they rough and ridged with years of work?
That large hand traveled down South, inching with an irritatingly slow pace down towards where you ached the most. He was a fair man. He treated both of your thighs in the same manner before the two gathered together in a v-shape over your cotton panties. You wondered if you should’ve worn something more enticing, something which suited a person like you - someone willing to spread their legs for a true stranger. But the man on the other side didn’t seem to have a problem. He didn’t seem like he was bothered by the simplicity of your presentation, instead he was keen on pressing his thumb down the center.
They were the latter.
His fingers were textured and it felt too good to be true. At the briefest touch, you followed after his movement, hips reaching further up to chase after his departing touch. You whined. Frustrated that he’s cruel enough to press your sensitive clit and leave you all hot and bothered. He let out a deep chuckle, one that came out from the depth of his stomach as he placed his thumb back where it belonged. Your hole clenched and unclenched at the stimulating sensation. Your cotton panties seemed to be a great aid for your needy clit. It felt similar to grinding over a pillow, just this time, it felt a lot more real and animated.
“How long have you been doin’ this, darlin’?”
“Doin’ what, sir?”
So polite. It’s laughable the fact that you’re so soft spoken. Your lips spilled out a gentle moan as his thumb dug deeper into that sensitive spot.
“Lettin’ strangers fuck you,” he was frank with his words that’s for sure.
“This is my first time.. in the box that is,” your voice cracked almost immediately under pressure. “Been thinking of this for a long long time though.”
The gruff man hummed noncommittally as he continued to please you with his thumb. You used to be shy when it comes to being reactive during intercourse, but with the box, it almost felt like you could finally be your true primal self with your utmost carnal desires. He slowly eased your stained panties to the side once he saw an increasingly growing wetness, knowing that it’s time to move on to his next way of torture. Your pussy was exposed to the cool air immediately, it felt like the air was nipping at the sensitive skin all around. He took his two fingers - his middle and pointer finger being his favorite choice despite the controversy - and slowly dragged it atop the slick canal.
“A pretty girl like you gettin’ all wet from a little touchin’,” he chided. “You haven’t been fucked well or somethin’?”
What a considerate man. He called you pretty when he could barely tell what you look like.
“No, maybe, I-” you were flustered. You’ve never had to exchange proper talk when someone’s touching your dirty, wet cunt. “None of Jackson’s men did good. That’s why I hoped..”
Your voice trailed off into a garble of nonsense when he teased at your entrance, trying to decide whether you’re soaked enough to push a finger in comfortably. You whined, louder this time, as your legs fought against the uncomfortable metal cuffs wrapped around your ankle. He decided to play nice for once and made your dreams come true by inserting that thick finger of his. Fingering has never felt good for you, it always felt like an intrusion rather than a welcomed feeling, but he’s making it feel like heaven on earth.
“Hoped a stranger would fuck me well enough,” you took awhile to finish that statement.
He let out one of those noises of disapproval, at your skewed moral direction perhaps or at the tone of desperation your voice must’ve let out. You could only suck in a shallow breath when he started making proper, continuous motions with his finger. He pushed upwards to poke the tip of his finger onto that squishy part, playing around to find out where exactly made you react the most. You loved how he’s patient. You’re half-expecting the men to just stuff their cocks in you like you’re some sex doll instead of taking their time, which you don’t mind either. Half the pleasure was from being treated like nothing.
“Dirty gal,” he degraded, which you found both surprising and exciting. “Just wanted her pussy stuffed with any cock she could have, hm?”
Your hips thrusted up at a larger interruption. This time, the man managed to insert two of his thick fingers inside your eased cunt. He twisted it one-hundred-eighty degrees to the left, then back to the right, before he curled it in a come-here motion. The motion had left you dumb. A combination of ah ah ah’s and unfinished pleads for him to keep still. The man never once fully removed his fingers out of you. He’d slowly pull back to only have a single knuckle stuck inside before pushing it all the way in once more. For once, someone didn’t finger you like you’re a pizza dough waiting to be pounded.
“A-ah, sir. I really.. mmh- I really like that,” you moaned out shamelessly. “Feels really good in my.. in my pussy.”
“You like what, darlin’?”
“Like your fingers.. fingers in my ah- ah pussy!” you whined when he deepened his reach by rotating his wrist upwards. “Something- fuck- something’s coming! Please.. Please don’t sto-”
You warned him like a goddamn virgin and there it was, you couldn’t see it, but you could hear the way your pussy squelched around his finger at the new wave of sticky fluids. The noises were filthy and lewd that you were embarrassed for the first time that night. It coated your throbbing cunt and slowly ebbed out of your hole, dribbling down onto the wooden floor boards under. Strings of almost translucent thickness proof of his success. It’s pretty. The way you gaped around his fingers, tightened and relaxed at his fingers that still kept you full.
“Good girl,” he cooed.
He must be experienced, because he was quick to rub your clit precisely as you went through the throes of orgasm. His broad palm never missed where that bundle of nerves were, until you’re dripping all over the place. Only when you’re right towards the end did he land a small smack atop your pussy, keeping pressure where your womb is to maintain the pleasure for as long as you could. It felt like this wasn’t a shit place for once. It felt like this stranger could surely turn the flesh-eating monsters into a field of rainbows and flowers from how good he’s making you feel.
“You taste sweet,” he muttered. “Someone ever told you that?”
It took you a while to notice that his fingers weren’t there to stuff you full. He was busy tasting you. You could imagine him on the other side of the room, rough fingers deep in his mouth, drenched in your arousal. The thought made you squirm, growing wet once more. You shook your head as his hand slid back up. His fingers ran over your clit with one long stroke before they stayed there. His thumb sat right atop the throbbing spot, unmoving.
"Perfect little thing, ain't ya?” he asked, and you nodded, your muscles tense as anticipation ran high. "Gonna fill you up real nice."
As soon as the dull tip of his cock prodded against your entrance, your whole body convulsed. Tears slowly crept into your eyes, frustrated, you might as well cry out a pathetic plea if he kept on stalling. Your palms banged flat against the side of the box. Overwhelmed and on the verge of tears when he purposefully missed your weeping hole. His length slid upwards, the warm tip rubbed against your clit from below before it shied away once more. Your toes curled and he must’ve taken the hint from behind the curtains.
The perfect stranger pushed himself up to where his mushroom-like tip ended, allowing you to adjust to the dimensions of his cock before he eased himself deeper.
You let out a strained moan.
You almost bump the top of your head on the oak boards when he forced his way in. His cock was fully inside you at last. You were ecstatic. Eyes shut close as you bit into your bottom lip, flesh tearing beneath your canines. It was too much all of a sudden. Too good. Too large. Too full. You could hear the loud squelching noise your spongy hole made as he pulled back and stuffed himself back in.
“Fuck,” he groaned silently. “Don’t squeeze around me, darlin’. You're gonna get me in big trouble.”
He chuckled and fuck did it sound so hot.
You felt his fingers gently reach for the width of your hips. His grip was tight and harsh as he guided your every movement with them. He thrusted like a man on a shooting range, with much precision and prowess. You liked this. Liked feeling as if you’re just a doll for people to use and dump their loads in, especially when it's for someone like him. His cock made you writhe and fight against the metal cuffs holding your legs up. Eager to have him speed up to meet your desires yet he was persistent in keeping a stable speed. The sensation was growing. Slowly but surely.
“A-ah.. mmph.. oh God!”
“God ain’t here to save you, darlin’. It’s just this old man right here,” he cooed crudely.
He made sure to keep you full at all times. Never once did his perfectly-sized cock leave your sloppy hole, it just kept on twitching and growing in size with the help of your warm embrace. “You like this, don’t ya?”
“Oh- oh yes. I like it. Love your..,” he stopped your lewd confession by placing his thumb back atop your once neglected clit, drawing lazily with what’s left of your wetness. You could feel him starting to seep. A tinge of his own arousal mixing in with yours. “Cock! Love your c- cock.”
His heavy pants started to intensify in volume, such a lovely melody when combined with your pathetic whimpers. He’s close.
“Gonna cum in you, darlin’” he muttered out breathlessly. “Gonna make sure you’re all fucked out with my cum.”
You couldn’t think straight. Not when you’re on a highway to heaven. Your little hole tightened, so eager to milk him dry.
“Yeah, you’d like that, won’t you?”
“O-oh.. oh yes. Please.. fuck,”
“Please?”
“Please fill me up.”
His tip started oozing out ribbons after ribbons of cum, quickly filling you up relentlessly. Though he hasn’t stopped bottoming himself up into you. His load sloshed around, coated his length a perfect milky shade, and dribbled down your rear deliciously. Did you really just let a complete stranger fill you up to the top? Did you truly just let him pour his seed up your needy hole?
Maybe you did.
And maybe it’s reckless.
But oddly enough, you don’t feel too bad about it.

au wherein when sj first got into the sect and went down to the brothel, he runs into a young wannabe rogue cultivator
the rogue was, well, roguish— rough, rule detesting, and flighty. handsome. brown eyes and warm cheeks, most likely a slight sunburn (because of course he doesnt have a hat). he looked around sjs age, if a bit older. more height than muscle, but with time and experience sj reckons he’d grow broader as well. the only thing that caught sj’s eye at the time though… was his terrible spending habits!
what was he doing, getting scammed out of his coins over some sword tassels of all things. atrocious!!!!!!
if theres one thing sj cannot stand and can relate with sqh, its detesting those who cannot use their money right. his shitty day adds onto his anger, so rather than leaving it alone, sj goes over to the pair of merchant and customer, scolding the merchant first and then the rogue cultivator. the rogue, new to this living out of his mansion thing (his previous life as the fourth son with too much freedom couldnt compare to now, he doesnt even have people to fall back on for funds!), decides, ‘hey, this persons nice enough to tell me i did something wrong, why not keep going to him for help?’
the rogue camps out at that town, always there to pester sj once he comes down the mountains. sometimes sj lectures him, sometimes sj scolds him, and sometimes he simply observes how sj acts around the streets and notes down whatever he gleans. it goes on for weeks, until finally the rogue (and secretly sj) feels like he can survive out there—all he needed now was experience, something he cant get with just the knowledge he now has
after that, sj expects to never see him again. when people get what they want, they leave. thats just what happens, simple as that.
but then, to sj’s astonishment, he meets the rogue again! not on accident, mind you.
“well, we’re friends now!” the rogue says, “/and/ i saw an imitation of one of your paintings at an auction and was like, ‘i should visit’”
sj immediately thinks that isn’t true. there must be something else the rogue wants from him.
and so once in a while, at least once or twice every two months, sj continues to encounter the rogue whenever he goes down the 12 peaks. each time, sj’s doubts ever so slightly melt away. and each time they meet again, they both note to themselves that the other has changed.
sj notices how the rogue comes back with a harsher tan, wider now in his frame. hes more confident and mature, more streetsmart and wise. the guy isn’t so prone to impulse, now taking the time to think before doing something. a small improvement, to be honest, since he still goes and does something foolish, just with a backup plan—though sj bets theyre made up on the spot most times (he also finally invested in a cloak— apparently he has a thing against hats? sj’ll find out one day, he’s sure)
the rogue on the other hand notices how sj comes back more refined, more otherwordly in aura. his quips and witty remarks have taken on a new level, he probably needs to go back to reading to get half of the references! he walks smoother, and each step he takes looks as light as a feather—how does he do that! (worryingly, the rogue also notices how sj always looks like he’s being weighed down, and that his walls are higher than ever before. did something happen?)
the day sj realizes the rogue is the first person to not want to take something from him, and who he’s sure wont leave, even if the time spent together is so much lesser than being spent apart, he feels…scared. anxious, as if now that he’s been made aware, the world will now make it its mission to take this one thing away from him. for the first time, instead of driving the rogue away like all the others, he feels compelled to stick as close as possible. being away from the sect is an added bonus.
the rogue likes this change, though is confused as to what brought this on. oh well, the company is nice! now he can show sj all the little things that reminded him of sj he found on his travels. like this one staff being displayed in a shop: it was such a pretty shade of green! or, or this one lake in a cave, the ripples would be nice to paint right? especially when the light from those bioluminescent vines hit the water.
sometimes they get separated on their travels, but they always find each other again. unconsciously, instances like these help heal sj’s fears.
in short the two of them go from strangers, to acquaintances, to friends (in the distant future lovers AAAAA)
sidenote: rogue guy is like, similar to lqg in how he goes about his morals. hes a do good, think about it later, type of guy. while lqg’s a do good, DONT think about it ever, type of guy.
he got disowned by his family because he exposed them for selling counterfeits, tax evasion, import and export of illegal items etcetc to the authorities. while he doesnt regret doing the right thing, he does regret doing it loudly and without a plan. the family members he knew were innocent, who he didnt at least warn beforehand so that they can get away/cut ties before all of it goes to shit, were and will continue to be shamed by everyone they come across for the crimes the rest of the family committed

I redesigned my TD OCs. So I made a little evolution of all their designs. Part 1/2
Tumblr media
Alex
The Attention Hog didn't have many changes. He stayed consistently orange but other things changed.
His beach-y look got more stylish and his hair got more swept back and changed in color.
He's still desperate for attention. That never changes.
Tumblr media
Augustus
The Religious Do-Gooder didn't have many design changes but he certainly changed in concept.
Originally he was just a religious guy that went wild during the show. Feral!Auggie got dropped in favor of making his arc a bit more serious.
He's still a sheltered religious kid but his journey of learning about the real world will be taken a lot more serious instead of making him a joke.
Tumblr media
Cherry
The Competitive Dancer barely changed. She only had one design before this and all that changed was making her a bit more modest. And adding some green.
Not much to say about her otherwise. Except some new additions to the cast will change her story arc a bit.
Tumblr media
Darla
The Visionary had a big and very noticeable change in her 2nd design. The moon afro has become her signature look and the main reason I don't wanna draw her from the side.
Her outfit also got more darker in color. Which make the lighter part of her outfit stand out more.
Tumblr media
Diego
The Zoologist is a design I haven't shown off before. Because originally he and his sister would be newcomers in a 2nd season.
Also not much to say about his redesign. Just cleaned up the original.
Personality wise he's a peacekeeper, he loves animals and is basically the team leader. He's also a bit of a neat freak but he tries not to be obnoxious about it. Tries.
Tumblr media
Finn
The Workaholic got a lot less saturated as time went on. He's duller colors reflect how much passion he has for all his jobs. Not much.
His hair got cleaned up, the uniform less cluttered, a new shade of blue. And his stubble got more youthful. He's only 18. He doesn't need to look like he's in his 30s.
Tumblr media
Flo
The Rebel Rocker based on Floyd Pepper from The Muppets!
Her outfit kept looking more pirate like so I just leaned into it. I made it her brand. Her hair also got longer with her bangs supposed to resemble Floyd's mustache.
Tumblr media
Gabriel
The Pretentious Goth also has only 2 designs. And the redesign looks a lot cleaner then the original.
Darker colors, refined his outfit, a bigger hat and restyled hair makes a world of difference despite the similarities.
His opinion of you hasn't changed tho. He still thinks you're below him.
Tumblr media
Isa
The Botanist is the 2nd half of the Globetrotting siblings. Unlike a certain other pair of siblings, Diego and Isa have a much healthier relationship. They're still competitive af tho.
Her design didn't change too much. Her colors did however. The dark orange looks better next to Diego's blue and makes her stand out more in the cast overall.
Now she may not look like it, but this gal is the Owen/Sugar/Ripper of the season. She's a total slob and it drives her brother insane. Not that she ever listens to his complaints. Or other people's complaints. She's a handful.
Tumblr media
Janus
The Hippie bases on Janice from the Muppets!
Like his inspiration he had some prominent lips that got removed in the 2nd design. But were brought back in the new design. His pink also got softer.
His name however was the thing that changed the most throughout his development. Starting with Jason to Jonas to finally Janus. Which is pronounced basically the same as Janice.
I've been having a lot of fun redesigning them all. I hope you all like them as well.
The other 10 will be posted soon.

Tumblr media
I'm not very good at english so give it up lol.
warnings: may contain sexual details, so if you are a minor, do not read.
Tumblr media
He had been watching her for a while, not wanting to appear discreet or try to fake something, Aegon wanted everyone to see the desire he felt for her, they were at yet another family dinner, which more resembles a political chatter between his grandfather. and mother, one he sure doesn't feel like listening to, his eyes were on just one lady, y/n his newest servant and lover, she at first was just another person who was there to do her job, besides of course, to serve as another toy for him, and his pleasures, and nothing else, but his thoughts changed so fast when the moon changes phase, he could only think about the night before, feeling their skins together and sweaty, moving, not wanting to stop, or the night before the night before, when their lips met with passion and fervor.
“Aegon pay attention.
His mother quickly cut his thoughts, she knew where he was looking, it was the same person as always, it was infuriating her, knowing how much that woman had influence over her son, where her commands even great were easily answered, Gods he could at least hide it better. Aegon only pretended not to hear her and tried his best not to look at the maid, to please Alicent a little, even though he knew his thoughts would only turn to that night, when she would be in his arms once more, between many times.
Tumblr media
Patience has never been her strong point, and today would obviously be no different, slamming her against the wall closest to her room, her hands traveling over her body, while his lips couldn't stop wanting to connect with hers, she tried her best to him, not because she didn't want to, but simply because someone could come in at any time, they would usually fuck at dawn, a time when everyone would be sleeping, but now, now she could only fear that the queen would walk through that door, she already had been warned, as nothing very good happens to those who lie with the prince, and she already knew that Alicent had a deep regret about her, y/n doesn't even know how her head isn't on a platter yet, maybe the gods then around her side, controlling the queen's fury, between kisses here and there, silly hands and kneading, she stopped him breathlessly, trying to make eye contact with her lilac eyes, so deep, they had so much power over her, she didn't know if she did. what he wanted for that he was the Prince, or because he couldn't say no to his eyes, they watched her with the purest desire, as if she were the goddess herself in front of her, she was so hot, maybe that's what she loved about Aegon, she He looked at her and fucked her and wanted her as if she were a goddess in his eyes.
“We can't here and now…her mother wouldn't be happy.
He rolled his eyes, patience didn't suit him, but his dragon temper did, he bit his tongue holding his rage, Aegon knew the woman hated his blind rage, gods he wanted the approval of a mere maid so badly, he pulled her away. closer to his body, gluing his breastplate to hers, never taking his clear gaze away, like a dragon looking at a sheep before dinner.
“I don't care about her, I just call you and me right in that bed, all night, all day, maybe for all eternity. - he said bluntly, grabbing her by the arm, and trying to make his words, and honestly she was tired of caring about Alicent, or anyone, she would have him for tonight, and for the next until she couldn't, until eternity reach them. Going without batting an eye, stripping off her clothes as she watched him take off his green garments, so expensive and silky compared to hers, everything about him seemed so refined and unattainable, they never looked away from each other, crazy, that was how Aegon found her. it made her feel, like a madwoman who is not afraid of danger and death. When they were both naked she pulled her by the neck, and then whispered even though they were the only ones in the room, and no one could hear them.
“You will be the death of me, my prince.
Two looks, lust, passion and love, a blind mix, of two inconsequential lovers, as he said, tonight, the next and for eternity, this bed would be their place where none would make it and they wouldn't even want to leave.

Sociotype Profiles — LII
Ego
Leading Ti
The LII naturally assesses statements, opinions, and actions in terms of conformance to certain principles. These principles may in practice be rules of thumb based on experience, but LIIs will usually appeal to more general, self-evident reasons, if the need arises. The LII is most engaged in communication when they are critically analyzing people's decisions and actions as well as how they generally are or are not consistent with certain pre-established goals. their dual, the ESE, likes hearing the LII's judgment, and simultaneously softens its edge by shifting their focus to how they are communicating their ideas, letting them see the intellectual thought process from the outside. The ESE appreciates and praises their ability to take the information seriously, but the ESE will find funny ways of reminding the LII of how they are coming across when they seem more serious than they realize.
"Just because" is not in an LII's vocabulary. If there is a reason for something, the LII will probably want to find it. The LII strives to reduce things to their most essential aspects, and mentally recreate the whole from the bottom up. The LII's theoretical tendencies can often leave him out of touch with reality, and if unchecked may lead to abstract theories that make logical sense but have little bearing on the real world.
The LII may explore many avenues of thought, but in the end only tell others his refined conclusions, because he sees the intermediate steps as irrelevant. He is often too concise for his own good, making it difficult for others to understand his ideas.
Creative Ne
The LII often applies Ti in an academic field such as mathematics, one which allows for abstract speculation to be realized in concrete conclusions. The LII does not much care for implementation or hands-on work, requiring some degree of independence from material demands in order to develop his own ideas. If the LII feels made to do a task he perceives as boring, he will try to find an original way to do it, if simply for the sake of developing an interesting idea. The LII can think on his feet, and is able to consider multiple viewpoints, although if he feels that he has fully analyzed an idea in the past, he may dismiss it out of hand with Ti.
The LII is always in tune with the "big picture", looking at things from the most general perspective possible. Given this frame of reference, he sees many ways ordinary life could be changed to meet his vision of how things should be. Thus the LII is often seen by other more practically-minded types as naively idealistic.
The LII does not come up with ideas simply for their own sake, but tries to relate everything back to "the main point". He quickly becomes impatient or disinterested with discussion that is simply meant to generate ideas, instead of realizing them.
Super-Ego
Role Fi
The LII is acutely aware of social conventions, such as saying "please" and "thank you", and expends much effort to conform to these rules to maintain the status of a "polite" person. But he tends to overdo the conventions themselves, as opposed to the relationships they are supposed to establish, and so ends up stepping on other people's toes (violating some less easily definable convention which he would never really want to conform to anyways). He prefers an easy-going environment where such conventions don't exist in the first place. When in a heated argument, an LII can alienate others by his natural tendency to hold and defend strong opinions (Ti).
If asked to express a unique, personal sentiment, such as a favorite color or football team, the LII may find difficulty choosing if there is no "obvious" answer. He often feels like he has no real personal, subjective feelings at all, and usually has to make a conscious decision where other types could easily supply an instinctive reaction.
The LII also is very sensitive about how other people see him, feeling depressed if he has affections that are not returned. For this reason, he tends to avoid expressing signals that show interest in certain people (as opposed to signals about his general mood and demeanor, which he feels to be much more natural), but of course it just aggravates his loneliness, instead of relieving it.
Vulnerable Se
The LII hates being ordered what to do, and chafes especially under orders that don't make sense to him. In such cases the LII is likely to criticize the authority — but if he does he is not subtle about it, and usually ends up being marked as a "rebel" and feeling even more frustrated than he did to begin with. An LII works best alone, so that he doesn't have to subordinate (to) others — or constantly negotiate his priorities, which strains his patience and diverts his time and attention away from reworking his understanding; if he is forced to waste time defending what he already knows, he gives up the freedom to deepen his understanding further. He does not tolerate pushiness combined with close-mindedness.
The LII does not like being simply told "get real" or "get off your duff", which he views as crude, intrusive, and insulting. He prefers to be left alone - or better, included in an atmosphere of open discussion that is receptive to his thoughts and thereby inspire him to develop them more.
If the LII has a problem that cannot be solved intellectually, but requires direct personal confrontation, he may resort to total avoidance rather than approaching the person directly, which he tends to think will produce only frustration and contempt. The LII thinks that, in an ideal world, everyone would just listen to reason instead of insisting on having their own way.
Super-Id
Suggestive Fe
Being a naturally private person, the LII finds it difficult to believe that others would be interested in what he is thinking or feeling at any given moment. He feels like something is not quite right if his interaction with the people around him is too aloof. However he only rarely makes an effort to venture into more open spheres, because he usually avoids making small talk, preferring to talk about his real interests and say only what he truly believes.
To this end, the LII, above all things, appreciates others' attempts to get him to "open up" emotionally and express his true thoughts and views of the world - not just as an abstract ideal living in his head, but as something that other people actually care about enough to participate in and bring to fulfillment. His focus on important abstract matters also leads him to detach from the world, if it is not complemented with a healthy dose of silliness. The LII is usually oblivious to his emotional-psychological state and feels little responsibility for improving it, not to mention the state of others. This means that "bad emotions" can build up in him until some environmental factor comes along to alleviate them. Visible demonstrations of emotional warmth play a major part in this: something as simple as a big smile and a hug is enough to brighten an LII's day. The LII can be attracted to insincere displays of affection, even if he consciously realizes that they are only in jest.
The LII is often at a loss for what to do in social situations, and appreciates others who make him feel included in a new group and in the emotional side of a situation. The LII tends to take life very seriously, and appreciates others who can show him the lighter side of things.
Mobilizing Si
The LII has poor control over his physical well-being, neglecting matters of simple hygiene relatively easily. He dislikes having to take care of mundane details of work, but simultaneously derives pleasure from aesthetic neatness and organization.
The LII is easily annoyed by sensory over-stimulation, including loud noises, bright light, and temperature. On the other hand, he easily becomes "addicted" to more pleasurable things, such as music, which have a corresponding effect on his mood (Fe). When left to his own devices, the LII tends to oscillate unhealthily between total indulgence of the senses and total neglect (the latter especially when working on something he feels to be extremely important). He tends to feel guilty for indulging in hedonism for the sake of hedonism.
On the surface the LII can seem easygoing, but in work projects or at home his critical nature will become more obvious.
Id
Ignoring Te
The LII is an efficient worker, and seeks out new tools, resources, or methods as long as they are directly relevant to his work or interests. He is not likely to keep especially careful track of his finances, avoiding this by keeping his needs simple and constant.
The LII can easily understand whether something is impractical or not, but prefers to explain why using structural principles. He dislikes rote memorization of dates and the like, but paradoxically will often have a mental store of many arcane pieces of information (such as the first 100 digits of pi) he finds interesting or equally absurd technical skills (like mastering a video game). Such skills and information will either be a part of his leisure activities, or relate directly to his main interests, which he chooses not based on their immediate practical consequence, but on how interesting they are.
The LII only exchanges such information in conversation for entertainment, and criticizes overly bland or rambling analyses, especially if he feels they have no point.
Demonstrative Ni
The LII is a naturally cautious person, and never acts without considering the consequences in detail. This tendency sometimes prevents him from acting decisively—or at all. However, he tries not to be overly pessimistic about the consequences of others' actions, and only offers direct advice in this area if it is specifically requested. If something bad happens he is usually willing to forgive and move on without placing blame, re-establishing the course as subtly and smoothly as possible. While he tends to have very specific ideas about his general life principles and goals, he is basically indifferent as to their specific timeframe and implementation.
The LII has an active imagination, but it tends to fade in and out and its products are rarely verbalized. He hardly ever says purposely cryptic or idiosyncratic things, and criticizes others for employing overly obscure concepts.

ok i know about several of these fics already but post-second-skin and also (carl anderson voice from the movie version of jcs) damned for alllllll tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime
Thanks for the ask!
(for this WIP ask game)
Damned for all time is a Kira/Winn ficlet set during the scene in Strange Bedfellows (I think?) where Kai Winn goes to Kira for advice bc she's just learned she's been hearing from the Pah-Wraiths not the Prophets! It was inspired by a prompt (your prompt lol) for the Sapphic Summer event. But maybe they also fuck or at least kiss a little? I'm currently struggling with this one bc of the word limit for the event being only 100-250 words lol, and I keep going over that when I try to write it, so I need to really refine the idea down to like the Essentials. No snippet right now bc it's so in flux, sorry
Post-Second Skin first time is a Garashir getting together fic in which Garak has big, big exile angst. <3 Garak also maaaaaybe (definitely) has some unhealthy ideas about sex because he's never really been with anyone except as part of a mission. There's also a mismatch in their mindsets because Garak does not let on at first how very angsty he is and at first Julian only sees the flirty front he's putting up. So Julian's just internally like wheeeee we're finally fucking yaaaay ^_^ <3, and Garak is internally like oh no I am a horrible person, I am clearly somehow deceiving him into wanting to be with me and I can't do that to the man I love (oh no, oh fuck, I love him so much) T_T, and that angst all reaches a breaking point, after which Julian comforts Garak. <3
Post-Second Skin first time snippet below the cut:
He’d been invited over to make up for the late snack they’d had to postpone last week when he’d brought Julian the news of Major Kira’s kidnapping by the Obsidian Order. He’d been to Cardassia and back since then and he felt… Well, he wasn’t quite sure how he felt about that.
Cardassia was the same as it had always been. The air tasted the same, the heat pressed against his scales like always. It was a little bit devastating that it was the same; his absence hadn’t mattered to anyone but him.
And yet, it was also completely different. He was different now, exile having changed him in ways he hadn’t realized until confronted with his home again, and now everything that should have been familiar suddenly looked so strange to him. The difference had manifested in more obvious ways too, in that he had been, for the moment, working against the Obsidian Order to rescue a Bajoran soldier for a Federation commander.
But all of that could have been forgiven, perhaps: he had been coerced after all. What was much less forgivable was how disconnected he’d felt, like there wasn’t a place for him here anymore. Like he could never go back.
This station wasn’t home either. He knew that he was only allowed to stay because he’d made it a priority to make himself useful to the station’s new owners. It had been his idea in the first place to prove his value by helping out in the Tahna Los business, so he couldn’t begrudge the commander for putting him to use. He’d invited it. He’d auditioned for the role. A favor or two a year was usually an easy price to pay.
But it had rattled him, to nearly be evicted just because he didn’t want to risk his life by breaking the terms of his exile. There was nowhere else for him to go that was far enough away from his enemies yet close enough that he could stay involved in Cardassian affairs. If he had to leave the station, he would never be able to prove himself to Tain or whoever else might be convinced to rescind his exile.
And so as he sat here in Julian’s quarters, he wanted Julian to curl his arm around his waist and claim him as his own. He wanted this kind of thing often—and he was nearly certain that Julian wanted something more than friendship with him too—but he hadn’t dared get involved with him. Now, the usual longing was laced with something else, a desire for stability, a way to keep some measure of control on his life. If he were in a relationship with a Federation member—a senior officer on the station, no less—then he couldn’t be forced to leave so readily.
Garak swallowed. He could start something so easily. Julian would take him to bed if he asked, he was sure of it. And Garak would figure out how to please his alien body as quickly as he always had with his targets. He’d fill him or surround him or slide against him, do whatever he wanted, until Julian needed him, desperately. He’d make himself completely available to him, to use at his discretion. He’d give him so much pleasure and so selflessly that soon Julian wouldn’t be able to live without him, and would feel drawn to help him.
Maybe Julian could even some day fall in love with him.

(questions from Sw0rdh3art, NeilKapit, LatinoPurrito, DesDemonical) What is Astor's preferred rifle? He can work with most anything that isn't a mounted gun, but his favorite is the 1860 Arklyte "Super Perforator" lever action rifle, a gun designed not for hunting but for blowing straight through a man from far away (hence the name). How much can Reah bench press? What's her strength according to the Marvel Strength Scale? Reah qualifies as "Peak Human" according to the Marvel Strength Scale (somewhere between Kingpin and Black Panther), bench pressing 1300 lbs. She spent her teenage and young adult years doing work like chopping firewood, hauling sacks of flour, fixing the dormitorium's roof, building fences etc. not combat training though, so a "weaker" person with superior training could probably defeat her in a one-on-one fight. What does Tabitha's singing voice sound like? Her "default" singing voice sounds a little like this, but she has a range. The cast's favorite foods? Reah: Campfire sausage and beans with cornbread. Tabitha: Does not like food, period. Anything sufficiently filling will do for her. The only taste she enjoys is coffee, made exactly to her standards. Astor: Grits. Zeyneb: Green pepper dolma stuffed with chopped coriander and onion rice. Joey: Raisin sweetbread, unless Ma's cottage pie is on the menu. LaBelle: Smoked trout fish pies, a great snack underappreciated by the upper class. Alessandra: A gourmand who'll try anything once, she doesn't have a particular favorite as long as she gets a big serving of it. Posthaste: Also grits. One can never go wrong with grits. Did you have someone or something as a reference when coming up with the designs of your characters? Some characters are so old that I legitimately do not remember what initially inspired them (like original Reah), but I usually incorporate lots of elements from the vast database of "stuff I have looked at and liked/found interesting" in a process of constant refinement. Reah's more recent looks take a lot of cues from... ahem, bara yaoi and Kentaro Miura's Berserk, ahem. Her new hair's taken wholesale from Overwatch's Zarya. Original Tabitha was a blend of Orkbutch's take on Elphaba from Wicked, Cio from Kill Six Billion Demons, and Maleficent from Disney's Sleeping Beauty dressed up in various bondage or drag outfits I randomly found on social media. Throughout this process of reiteration a character's face usually changes so much they don't fully resemble any of their initial inspirations. General rule of thumb is if a character looks vaguely like something from somewhere else, that's probably one of their influences (and I might have forgotten, so feel free to point those out to me) - I soak up everything like a sponge! Some characters like Zeyneb and Posthaste owe their faces to historical photographs, not any one definite person but an amalgamation of impressions. Exceptions are LaBelle, whose face is fully based on Kit Young as Jesper from the show Shadow and Bone (aged up a bit), and Lucifer, whose extensive design process has already filled a whole post on my tumblr blog. What parts of your story have you changed while making it? I could spend many many paragraphs on this question alone... basically any given fact about Souls Foreclosed was at some point changed, altered, or thrown out temporarily. Just off the top of my head, Reah was supposed to be a womanizing flirt that random powerful women took advantage of, Tabitha had huge boobs and was meant to have a 4 page guest comic about her feud with her brother, instead Astor there was meant to be a crack shot transmasc demon named Yolanthe who also drove the trio's wagon (I basically raffled off their traits to other characters in Unholy Savior), there was a plot about Godfrey putting more and more pickled reliquary organs into Lourdes via surgery, the Uyulala was(!) meant to be a singular divine presence without a body that speaks through multiple people, Joey was supposed to be a tiny butch journalist uncovering a conspiracy in a spinoff comic called Smoke and Mirrors (which I folded back into the main plot in Chapter VIII), Monsignore had a longer stay in the plot past the ending of Chapter VIII, Alessandra and LaBelle were not meant to be more than bit parts past that chapter's Scene 3, etc. etc. What was the inspiration for the setting? Just like character designs, these are also a mixture of media I consumed (Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts, Game Kitchen's Blasphemous, From Software's Dark Souls - specifically the Ringed City DLC, Chris Riddell's illustrations in the Edge Chronicles) and impressions from my 4 year stint studying for a degree in History, which might be the most obvious from the depiction of Tyvia in Chapter VIII. I wanted to depict a kind of "mundane" apocalypse that both feels gritty and poetic, with villains that had motivations taken from real life oppression. Is it your perception that Souls Foreclosed will help people accept eachother as they are, instead of projecting and reproducing societal and aesthetic expectations? (Because I sure do hope so) We can only hope. I think I have a better shot at making a certain flavor of trans reader see their own self be loved and kicking ass in it! Why is Tabitha so hot? Because while nobody wants to admit it, we all secretly want to be condescended to by a tall woman who's flat as a board and as lethal as a loaded gun. When are we getting the Reah plush we deserve? For the 10th anniversary, surely! Thank you all for these questions!

for the oc ask. axel. 8 for luther, 16 for ezekial, and 38 for any of your ocs!
for creator asks, how about F?
What were they told to stop/start doing most often as a child?
I think probably a lot of what you’d kinda expect from someone in Luther’s kind of situation. A whole lot of “toughen up” “stand up straight” “treat this more seriously” that sort of thing. But in the more specific, probably more concerning areas, some “Stop showing your feelings so much” “Don’t get so attached” and “Don’t look away.” that last one particularly haunts him.
What makes their stomach turn?
At first, Ezekial was most put off when he started realizing what made Luther anxious. When they were waiting to get picked up from school and Luther would smile and wave goodbye when he walked away from him, but seeing how his face turned to stone as soon as closed the door of the sleek black car that always picked him up, when Luther would suddenly become panicked and jittery when that same car passed by them when they were out. At one point, it was the way Luther leveled out his voice while he lied to his face with frozen eyes that refused to tell him their secrets. Now, it’s not the way Luther speaks to him; he’s okay hearing Luther say how much he hates him and wants him gone because he knows it’s not true, and it’s not the way Luther treats him either; he’s endured enough that getting punched and kicked and thrown doesn’t really phase him anymore, no, what really makes Ezekial feel particularly sick now is having to watch what Luther’s become. It’s the same face he’s always known, if maybe a bit more refined, the same face that used to be so kind and bright, but now won’t even show so much as a quirk of the corner of his lips. It’s the same voice he’s always heard, that’s always laughed and joked with him and sung his praise and support, but now it’s lower, more level, never daring to ever be any louder or more expressive unless it’s to yell at him. It’s the way that he has to wonder what Luther has had to do, to experience, to force himself to commit to, that makes Ezekial particularly uneasy.
What memory do they revisit the most often?
Axyl often tends to think about the first time they “quit” beyblade. When they took the tear stained wooden practice bey Ryo carved for them and threw it right back at his chest, vowing they’d never pick up a bey again, and the talk Hyoma and aer had later. In contrast, it also often thinks back to the way they were first drawn to its gemios. How they felt compelled to pick it up in the sand and how well it fit in aer hand.
Essi tends to dwell a lot on the first time she lost to Gingka and felt good about it, and how that was what lit the fire in her to keep going and continue to become stronger and stronger.
Ezekial never forgets his and Luther’s big argument. It haunts his every living moment, it’s his biggest regret and fear and strongest driving force. He remembers how Luther yelled at him like he’d never yelled before and how quickly his attempt at a solemn face broke into frustration and hot, angry tears. He will never stop thinking about the moment Luther finally turned away from him.
Luther doesn’t dwell on the past.
What do you feel when you think of your OC (pride, excitement, frustration, etc)?
I think it changes for every one of my characters.
For Juno, I kinda just always “IBWIBWIBWIBWIBWIBWIBWIBIIIIII 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞” whenever I think about her. She makes me extremely happy and I want to put her on a little velvet cushion in a glass case and display her on a shelf in a big fancy main hall of a big fancy palace.
Essi I want to squish and roll out like a little ball of play doh. She brings me joy, though also kinda hits really hard when I think about her primary conflicts and how heavily and personally I project onto her in those regards.
Axyl i tend to kinda be embarrassed about because I remember that he’s a character that is a very obvious beyblade self insert and I go “this is so cringe” but I’m also very affectionate towards him because despite being a very close self insert he’s also very much his own character and I enjoy getting to take the things I think and experience as the person I am and flesh them out and voice them on a vessel besides myself. It’s very therapeutic but also just an interesting story for a character. I feel like media tends to focus a lot on characters who are very skilled and strong already getting stronger and more strong and I constantly want more serious focus on characters who actually kinda suck and what they do and are weak and lame because that’s kinda what I am at most things, and Axyl’s kinda my opportunity to see that. I enjoy fleshing out its character because it gives me an opportunity to write something I wanna see more of.
Kosuke brings me psychic damage most of the time tbh. I’ve had kinda bastard characters before but I have no idea how he specifically morphed into the bastard he is today. It is literally so far off now from what I originally wanted him to be and I’m not entirely unconvinced that it wasn’t his own doing and willing their being into existence thru sheer freak energy alone. I like that other people are interested in him but he’s become such a freak at this point that I don’t even know what to do with them. They are more of a weirdo than any character I’ve ever had and I feel like that’s saying something. They’ve become more powerful than I am at this point. I’m kinda afraid of him, but they’re also stupid and dumb and I very frequently slap him against the wall like a wet wad of spaghetti in my head.
Ezekial is interesting because I feel like I’ve only recently started to take him more seriously. Looking back at a lot of old doodles of him and revisiting the ideas I had for him is interesting bc he used to be a lot more goofy and comedic all the time and while that is still partially a part of his character, it’s a lot more sad now and he just makes me sad /pos. He’s such a poor wet dog trying to make the best of what he can and he makes me so upset and I want to tuck him gently into bed and give him a cup of hot cocoa but I know very well that that is not what I’m going to do. He’s an interesting character to write and think about and he’s just so incredibly upsetting.
Luther I want to squeeze aggressively until his eyes pop out of his head like one of those pencil toppers you’d see at school book fairs. He’s so repressed and sad and pathetic and has so many problems and he’s so infuriating and dumb. He also makes me immensely sad, with how messed up his backstory is and how is present actions are very much a reflection of everything he’s endured and how long it’d take for him to recover, if ever. There’s one scene specifically that I probably won’t share publicly for a very long time if at all that is such an emotional rollercoaster with the false security it brings at first and HEAVY emotional drop at the end that just. ourgh. ourghhh. a lot of emotional scenes with him in them make me feel like that. I love writing him so much but oooooooouuuuurghhhh he hurts me so bad.

#xiantober Day 13: Inventorxian
Wei Wuxian was lying on the bed, feet up in the air and his head dangling over the edge as he read when Lan Wangji walked into the Jingshi.
"Wei Ying," he said.
Wei Wuxian met his husband's eyes and smiled at him upside down. "Hi, Lan Zhan!"
"There is something I need to talk to you about," Lan Wangji said. "Come sit."
Wei Wuxian got up and walked across the room to sit by Lan Wangji. "What's up?"
"A conference is being held in Yunmeng soon and I am to go as representative for Gusu Lan."
He blinked. "Oh."
"You are welcome to join," he said carefully.
"Nah," Wei Wuxian replied. "It's... It's probably best if I don't go just yet, you know? Give everyone some time..."
And by 'everyone' he meant Jiang Cheng.
"Wei Ying."
Wei Wuxian smiled wide. "It's fine, Lan Zhan."
Lan Wangji frowned. "It is not, but if that is what you wish then I will accept it."
His husband was truly the best. "That is what I wish."
"Very well. I will miss you dearly," Lan Wangji stated.
Wei Wuxian melted a little. "Ahh~ I'll miss you too, baobei. So much."
They kissed for a while before Wei Wuxian pulled back and asked, "When are you leaving?"
"Next month. I will be gone for a week."
Wei Wuxian sighed, leaning all his weight on his husband. "I'll miss talking to you so much, I'll miss seeing you, I'll miss your body..."
"Mn. I will miss all of that as well, Wei Ying. You are welcome to come if you change your mind."
Wei Wuxian smiled at that but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "I know. I just wish there was a way we could talk while you're away..." Something clicked in his mind. "Hang on..."
He quickly got up from Lan Wangji's lap to grab some ink, paper, a brush, and blank talismans before he sat back down on his lap and got to work. He sketched out plan after plan, trying to figure out how to make it work until he landed on something.
He held up the paper.
"What is it?" Lan Wangji asked.
"Well, if it works properly, it should allow a talisman to turn into something for instant communication."
Lan Wangji hummed in interest and Wei Wuxian quickly worked to write the design onto two blank talismans.
He activated one and tried talking but the second talisman did nothing. He groaned and flopped forward onto the table.
Lan Wangji gently petted his back. "Would it work if you make one for talking and one for listening?"
Wei Wuxian lifted his head to look at the failed design.
"Maybe," he said.
He made quick work of redesigning the talismans and tested it out again. This time, it worked. He could hear what he was saying from the receiving talisman. He pumped his fists in the air. "It worked!"
Lan Wangji hugged him and pressed a kiss to his neck.
"My Wei Ying is so smart."
Wei Wuxian laughed, leaning into the hug. "I wonder if I can carve both into something so we don't have to awkwardly hold two talismans."
~
He got his hands on some scraps of wood the next day and worked on carving both designs in each one.
Once he finished he ran in search of his husband, tossing one to him before running out and activating his chunk of wood. "Lan Zhan? Lan Zhan? Can you hear me?"
He waited, bouncing on his toes.
"Mn," Lan Wangji's voice came through. "I can hear you."
~
Over the next couple of weeks, Wei Wuxian spent almost all his free time refining his project, testing its limitations and brainstorming possible features he could add.
At one point he got Wen Ning to go past Yunmeng with a copy so he could test the distance capacity.
It worked without a hitch. Wei Wuxian was buzzing with excitement.
Some of the juniors caught wind of his project and expressed interest in it too.
Wei Wuxian realized that it would probably be a widespread thing to want to communicate with someone not close by.
He idly brainstormed solutions with Lan Wangji until they realized a sort of numbering system could work. Each device has a number assigned to it and if you enter that number on your own device it will contact that person. He tested it out with Wen Ning and Sizhui the next day.
Everything was working so well. By the time Lan Wangji had to leave he had a pretty solid prototype to send off with his husband so they could talk every day while he was gone.
Wei Wuxian was going to miss him, but being able to hear his voice daily was amazing.
In the week Lan Wangji was gone he kept refining his project until he finally reached what he figured would be an ideal stopping point.
The numbering system worked flawlessly, he added and the ability to leave a message if they don't answer, and a system to block other numbers.
He even started working on an additional item that connects to the main block but is small enough to wrap around a person's ear. That option would be ideal for when a person wants to talk but either doesn't have a free hand or is on the move.
He was very excited about it.
He planned to use that little piece when Lan Wangji came back so they could stay in communication all day even when they were apart. They could just... Listen to each other go about their day.
Wei Wuxian smiled to himself as he thought about that, eagerly awaiting his husband.
When Lan Wangji finally returned Wei Wuxian launched into all the details about the earpiece—having kept it a surprise from their daily chats—before Lan Wangji shut him up with a deep kiss.
"That is a wonderful idea, Wei Ying. I missed you."
Wei Wuxian smiles, wrapping his arms tightly around his husband. "I missed you too," he replied.
After that, Wei Wuxian set about making finalized versions of his project for himself and Lan Wangji before moving on to make some for other people.
It became a very popular device.
He eventually opted to delegate work to other people in creating the devices, unable to keep up with the demand by himself. He was very happy with what he got to add to the world. He made it easier for people to stay in contact with each other, no matter how far apart.
Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji often used the earpiece as they went about their days. Wei Wuxian eventually figured out a way to have multiple numbers in communication at once so people on night hunts could stay in contact.
And yes, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji were the first people to use his device to have long-distance sex.
He really is quite innovative, isn't he?

Sorry if you’ve already been asked this, but are there specific directors you model your Daffy and Porkies after? Your Daffy reminds me of Clampett’s in particular, though I don’t know where I’d place your Porky at
NO PLEASE I LOOOOOVE QUESTIONS LIKE THESE!!
the ducks and pigs i draw have really grown into my own beasts at this point… i don’t consciously model them off any one director or animator like i used to BUT!!! i think you’d be right for saying Clampett for both
MY DAFFY… my Daffy is really just my own default interpretation, but because i’m so familiar with Clampett’s Daffy shorts it does sort of default back to him HAHA. i’d say Manny Gould is the animator who my duck is most reminiscent of—particularly the tall, sort of rigid head, tall eyes, and skin flap that supports the beak; he has a tendency to square it Daffy’s beak which i SOMETIMES do. depends. i tend to play around with his hair and tail feathers more—tongue too if i can get away with it, but that’s more of a Rod Scribner influence
Tumblr media
i drew this last year in March, and the way i draw Porky has changed a LOT since (i taper the eyes more, i made the distribution between the cranium and jowls a little less even to feel more natural, overall i draw his head as a sort of more guitar pick shape reminiscent of his mid-40s look) but the inspirations have stayed the same. these were all Clampett animators at one point (but also all Bob McKimson animators at one point too)—i think John Carey and Bill Melendez are probably who i’m derivative of, with more Carey in the body and Melendez in the face… but you’d be correct in deducing Clampett too
Tumblr media
I WILL SAY THOUGH. Baby Bottleneck as a whole has drastically impacted how i draw them both HAHAHAHA. if i draw Daffy wearing a hat (like in my icon) i push his hair down, which comes from that—i always make Porky’s bow tie excessively flowy and somewhat big, which ALSO comes from that. they’re both from Rod Scribner scenes, and both things i’ve been doing since 2019 and like… cannot see myself stopping. it’s too fun. and too ingrained. i just gotta!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SO I GUESS CLAMPETT FOR BOTH—it’s not at all on purpose because i REALLY like how a LOT of different animators and a LOT of different directors interpret them for different reasons, but in terms of how i personally draw them i guess it’s closer to Clampett-ian sensibilities. THEY’RE BOTH VERY MUCH MY OWN NOW I’D SAY i think i’ve drawn them enough and refined them enough to put my own sort of spin on them but the influences are absolutely there

Since you liked my oc so much here’s a little more about him(it’s funny because this where I’ll proceed to word barf on you 😃). He was orphan from a young age, never found out his true parents and for what can he remember he was by himself that was until he met…Mr. B. Mr. B was a fallen spoiled rich boy who was kicked out of his family to fend for himself, after he brought “shame” to his family. Once part of the elites and now every day bums, he made himself acquainted with the hustle/street life to survive, everything he learned was self taught and since he went through such a life changing experience, his personality did a 360 as well. After proving himself as the most worthiest man in the “business” from there he was able to create his own business of wild and chaotic misfits just like him. they ban together to overrun his parents home and rob them of their money after one or two decades of not seeing them (they were not expecting nor pleasant to see him 😅). Couple years down it was brought to his attention that his supplies and resources were been stolen, and he came to confront the man who outsmarted his men and steal his food, he came across a young Joseph (that’s his name :D). At first he would scratch and bit him like a wild animal, but when eventually joe figured he wasn’t a threat and they became a attached at the hip ever since (well more like at the shoulders, cuz that’s where little joe spent majority of his younger years on Mr. B shoulders). He taught joe everything he knows from refining his shooting, teaching him how to fight, table manners and his philosophies. He instilled in him that he would only allow joe to act all cutesy and spoiled because unlike when he was younger joe actually has worth and can prove himself. He taught him that he shouldn’t look down on ppl, and everyone has their own way to survive “we are no better then the ladies on the street corner. They can’t do, what we do. And we can’t do, what they do” “it’s not if you have the skill for it, but the drive to go through with it”. Imagine a thick new jersey’s accent. That is his son. They use to go camping togther, sleep in the same bed (eventually Mr. B couldn’t get enough sleep because of the kicking so he gave a small bed next his to sleep at night), they like to body wrestle, teach him how to gamble, let him have a quick puffs of his cigar/ little sips of his whiskey and scotch, come with him on his heist, etc. As well trained he is in self dense and handling guns he would try to protect him even if he’s 25, 28, 36…..(he’ll always be a father first). But since he didn’t get a chance to interact with ppl his own age, he’s a bit eccentric. Sometimes he talks like a old man (going to bed at 8), etc. he eventually grew up and worked for Mr.B (Big Man, not a very creative name but it fit wells for his size (he’s built like kingpin from the spider man movie)). He adventures out across the country to kill someone who hasn’t paid their due yet or kill someone he double crossed Mr.B. He’s his right hand man and his son, so he can get away with things. For example, the reason why he came to y/n’s town. He was there to collect another body, the sleazy loan shark. He asked Mr. B for money for a business opportunity but eventually it became clear he wasn’t coming back after a week of his deadline. When Joesph confronts him before shooting him, at one last resort to be a ducked head he gives Joseph a picture and address of y/n and said, if he wants to collect money go to this woman. “Huh” he lets out a low whistle “she’s not particular bad looking…” he take a long time to look at the picture and then shoots the sleazy loan shark. Not only he’s going to collect the money but maybe this pretty lil thing as well. Before her property situation became worse, he would have a stake out and stalk her everywhere she would go(even tho it wasn’t necessary). She’s a church woman and a farm gal. She’s hardworking, independent and kind (he saw her helped up a kid after falling down and reassuring them (so motherly :D)) but to know for sure if she’s the one…. :)
You need a movie deal, I'm not kidding I am blown away!!!!!!! You have me hooked, I am in love with this man!!!! Holy cow!!! I love found family tropes and it makes so much sense in this case!!!!
My mouth was open the entire time reading this and I loved it soooooooo much!!!!! The idea that the loan shark tried to throw the reader under the bus and Joseph ( I love the name) was like ahhh yes ok, and then shoots anyway!!! I love love love the idea of him trying to sus out if the reader is wife material and just falling more and more in love with everything she does! Is Mr B. proud of joseph finally getting a wife, and what about grandkids!!!! AHhhhhh! I love this world you have created!!!! Please never stop creating more of this !!!!! I am not joking when I said I am in love with this man, holy hell I have to take a cold shower.
Anyway, thank you for sending it in!!
Lots of love mae xx

ur opinions/thoughts on indigo? i love your blog :D
I think it's the most refined group of songs Namjoon has ever released. Life is more complex than how you see yourself, but that's what you tend to focus on when you're younger. It takes time to realize the weight of expectations even if they come from a good place. I see 'Indigo' as Namjoon's process of understanding how the expectations of those around him affected his personal growth and choosing how to he wishes to grow from now on.
Previous mixtapes, while lyrically sound, I felt that he struggled with clearly conveying what he wanted to say (and maybe he didn't quite know himself) or perhaps he just lacked the depth that growing up brings, better understanding yourself through self-reflection. When you're younger, you try to absorb as much as you can - you have to, that's the only way you can learn about the world. Growing up is sorting through all that shit and deciding what you want to keep. You can choose who or what influences you depending on what energy you surround yourself with and it feels like Namjoon has entered that period of his life.
I always listen to albums following the tracklist. When he asked us to listen to it that way, it showed that he put thought into the order, which I think isn't as heavily considered these days. I didn't even watch the MV first. I listened to the album the way it was ordered, at my desk. I usually listen to albums through headphones but this time I chose to use a Bluetooth speaker thanks JK's Mikrokosmos lol. Has a feeling this album would be more about the ambience. The first listen is dedicated to his voice, tone, inflection and his choice of collaborators. He uses a lot of English in this album, so I focused on his word choice too. Since I don't know Korean, I look up the lyrics after the first listen. I'm missing some of his wordplay probably, but that's my fault for not learning Korean (I should at least try, hah, but that's a later me problem lol)
The grouping of 'Closer', 'Change pt.2' and 'Lonely' is my favorite part. I enjoyed 'Still Life' too; I always like happy beats with subtle sad implications. Youjeon's voice in 'Wildflower' was the prefect choice. I'm glad he chose it as the title.
It's not natural to have one's life put on display like that. Sure, he chose this profession but he didn't choose to be dragged to the extreme. No one predicted the scale that BTS is at now. I think Namjoon struggled a lot with trying to not let it affect him, and 'Indigo' is him understanding that he can't. He's ended up in too weird of a position and how could be deny the love that ARMY has given him thus far? How could he give back to all that was given? Love has expectations too. Even if it's not meant to hurt, it can still become a heavy weight. He has to learn to let go a little bit so he can flourish (and not go insane lol). You can end up in a weird place but there's ways to ground yourself and find your center.
And, anyway, the secret of life is that everybody is in a weird place, everybody has their own challenges, everybody feels alone in your situation, because you are. No one lives your life but you. We're as similar as we are different. Giving back in love is recognizing that your mistakes made you and being your best self. It's up to others to decide if that's enough for them. It is what it is, hm.
'Indigo' felt like a conversation. Thanks for the conversation, Namjoon. :)

So I watched MWII… A Review
Welcome back to the fandom, Broccoli! It’s been a little under 18 months since I last paid attention to COD and having just watched Modern Warfare 2022, I thought I’d do a classic Broccoli review. That intentionally rhymed.
I had many strong feelings about this campaign, and though I did enjoy it, I also struggled with it. And I want to talk about it. For those of you who don’t want to be spoiled but want to know a general numbers gauge of my thoughts, or for those of you who are short on time, I give this campaign a 6/10.
Now that we got the angry people out for me giving it a 6/10, let’s move on to the full review of why I came to that conclusion. A reminder that this is just my opinion, and there’s a good chance you didn’t feel the same way. And that’s totally fine. This review also has lots SPOILERS so if you don’t want to be spoiled, in the good words of The Critical Drinker, “Go away now!”
We’re Back, Baby! The Likes
I wish I could play this game because it looks really solid. The maps are beautifully designed and the variety of gameplay options offered the player different ways to adapt to the style of the story. It was fun seeing map layouts that referenced previous MW missions, and a couple other games from the other COD series. The graphics are outstanding, even if they look a little less refined when compared to MW19, but that’s hardly a concern. There’s a lot of variety of action, from CQC combat to sniping from a distance with Price spotting and a fighter plane overlook mission. They also alternate between linear missions and more open choice. I absolutely adore the soundtrack, with the classic MW theme mixing with Piccadilly Circus from MW19 as the main theme.
My personal favorite level was the oil rig one, specifically just the ship. I don’t think we’ve had a moving level before (I know some of the MP maps have moving objects). Working through the containers really helped build up what the first half of this campaign did very well: holding tension. Often, the player character would get shot if you overstepped too much or didn’t come up with a smart way to avoid the enemies. This was kinda the same idea used during the Amsterdam swimming part of the mission. The tougher AI gave the player room to adapt to the situation and improvise to beat it.
Gaz is the best character here. His growth from a naïve yet eager newcomer in MW19 to a strong and sure soldier really is at its best here. I love how his relationship with Price has so clearly grown to the point where they can banter, and it even extends to his relationship with Laswell. And yet he still deeply respects both, never overstepping his boundaries and listening to them when it’s crucial to.
I also found Vargas and Rodolfo really held up their end of the story. From an interview posted on the COD YouTube, they were made out of care for the franchise. It’s rewarding to have new characters in the story that work well for their roles without overstepping previously established characters. Additionally, I love Makarov’s gun build at the end, which made his new plane hijacking suddenly way more intimate.
However, that’s all I have to summarize for the good stuff. And now, on to…
I Guess That Happened…? Moments of Apathy
MW in general isn’t my favorite series, and I never really cared for the characters, which affects how I perceive the campaign. That being said, MW19 is one of my favorite games. Which is why I was disappointed every time a trailer came out. Already, I could tell MW19’s story was going to be ignored, and I was right. So many things happened in this game between new factions, new names, new locations, and much much more that the campaign felt like it was trying to do too much and make a brand new series. A great disappointment to the continuity of the previous game. Not only was Victor Zakhaev never mentioned after being teased in the first game, but we never get the chance to explore Farah and how she’s changed after 20 years of fighting with the Russians. There’s no conclusion to Alex’s story, what happened to Hadir, or how Barkov’s position in the Russian army may have affect the world. This game would have held up well as a stand-alone. But it’s disappointing it lacked acknowledgment towards MW19 outside of Farah, Laswell, Price, and Gaz existing in both stories.
I know I said I like the variety of the missions earlier, but that didn’t quite work for the mission lengths. The long missions were L o n g and the short missions too short. The very first mission takes 5 minutes tops to execute. The next one is more standard 20-40 minutes. And then it goes into missions that can last practically an hour if you’re struggling with it all because you’re required to do certain tasks in certain orders. This sounds more negative than positive, but when the missions were tight, the game flowed, and the ones that dragged to extend the campaign killed any tension.
On a smaller note, I found the climax to be disappointing. The Soap Lost mission worked well with the crafting, even if that mission dragged on too long. But putting crafting in the climax to defeat a couple headshot AI then killing Hassan in just one shot really left the ending forgettable. There were a lot of things you could have done with the crafting in the climax, like pick up a wireless nail gun and slowly craft it to act more like a one shot pistol. Or craft supplies to build mines and protect your teammates from swarming enemies while they disarm the bomb. Hassan’s death also lacked impact, especially following the boss fight with Graves (who I keep forgetting is in this campaign). I think Hassan deserved the Graves boss fight, and Graves deserves the Hassan boss fight. This could have been improved simply with a Mic’d Up Soap so Ghost could hear everything Hassan said before sniping Hassan/Soap or Soap falls out the window.
Like Graves, I keep forgetting Shepherd was in this campaign too.
Lastly, I was apathetic to the dialogue choices. By no means was this a bad thing. For the most part I liked it. It’s nice that the devs listened to the community (for once) when the BOCW said they would have liked Bell/Alex’s dialogue lines voiced. The interrogation scene with Valeria is among one of my favorite. That being said, I did find the Price/Gaz/Laswell and the Soap/Ghost dialogue exchanges annoying sometimes. More on some of this later, but the primary reason is that it felt like the conversations didn’t flow very smoothly.
Hit By a Truck: The Dislikes
My older followers know this: I really don’t like OG Ghost. I’ve never found him appealing, and Soap going “Ghost shut the fuck up” was the best part of MW2 for me. That said, I still read his comics. When MW22 started out with a Ghost who embodied the type of experienced warrior he is, I quickly became a Ghost fan. The game recognized that Ghost was a founding member of 141 and established his knowledge and experience was much greater than Soap and Gaz’s, and I couldn’t wait for the game to explore that…
And then he started talking…
And talking…
And talking…
And suddenly I didn’t like him anymore. Much of his character relied on Soap, who suffered from feeling like he was too new to the job even though he’s been in 141 for at minimum 3 years given how surely Price spoke of him to Laswell in MW19. I didn’t mind their bantering too much, though it wasn’t my favorite parts, but the part I really hated was Ghost saying “Speak English” (which happened bout 4-5 times in the story) to Soap. To me, it was not funny. It was not cute. It was a way of bringing attention to Soap’s accent and speaking pattern even though Soap was speaking English (Scottish English, but still a variation of English). To me, it made Ghost feel like a dumbass, incapable of discerning information through its context. I wouldn’t have minded as much if Ghost said “what are you saying?” or something more along the lines of his scenes asking what Vargas and Rodolfo said.
I also didn’t like how they’ve rewritten history to say Ghost gave the order to bomb Soleimani (Ghorbrani in the game (Please stop rewriting history COD)).
By the end of the campaign, I was right back to where I started with Ghost: disliking him.
Price too was heavily nerfed from his badass with pained experience behind his eyes we saw in MW19. Even his OG/19 self’s sassy and borderline rude yet endearing type had reduced in favor of sounding like he was written by someone who wanted so badly to ship him with Laswell but couldn’t. Price has always been caring for his teammates, yet Laswell’s capture felt more like Price’s personal rescue mission rather than “Laswell has valuable information and we need to get her back.” It took away a lot of the charm Price had from MW19 for me.
Lastly, I really. Really. Really. Hated the mission with Farah. And it’s massively disappointing because Farah is my favorite MW character and she has been ever since I got into COD. The most obvious reason is that she never more than two lines of personality in and the rest was generic soldier commands NPCs do. The mission is among one of the more disliked ones from the community for its tedious gameplay. It started off strong but then quickly became a pile of empty payoff.
However what bothered me most are the implications behind it. They’re in Urzikstan—a Muslim dominated country—trying to get Laswell back when she got captured by Al Qatala (AQ). The fight takes place on a highway with AQ’s convoys leading and Price, Gaz, and Farah’s army pursuing, dodging around innocents who are also driving on the highway. One of the AQ NPCs starts dropping mines to make a mine field, which causes the innocent cars to blow up and become “fun little burning obstacles for Gaz to avoid! :D”
You can probably see where this is going.
Really? A 6/10?: Conclusion
Yep, a 6/10. But it’s not that bad! It knocked BO2 out of the penultimate low of my COD campaign favorites, and that’s been sitting there for over a year!
I would have loved to see a tighter campaign. Something that was only 4-5 hours long and much tighter. For a game that had so much going on, there was a lot of bloat and mission filler to try and make the campaign longer. Lengthening the story only made what started off as a tight game slowly crumple until it croaked out the final word (minus the part about Makarov. That went pretty hard).
That all said, I did enjoy the game. Especially the first half up until Laswell got captured. It was nice to see the likes of Cliffhanger, All Ghillied up, Clean House, and more return as gameplay layouts. I think the campaign has a lot of strong points, and I expect it’ll be well received among the COD community overall.
Now, I shall disappear into my hole and resurface in 2024 when the next COD comes out. Goodbye!

Last thoughts on Armin's 2nd AL episode:
After the turmoil of episode 1, it's good to experience the calm that comes after the storm: fluffy is what we wanted and that's what we got.
Tumblr media
Everything that the first episode had that was messy, stormy and full of uncertainties about how their relationship would work again, in this second episode we see the other side of two people who were hurt with each other but who still have feelings and for that are willing to try again, there's order now.
Both recognizing their own short coming and ending the blaming game, and that's very fitting for a second episode overwall - not overstating their animosity but keeping the teasing and cheeky playful side of it.
When Candy points out that Armin choose their first date without consulting her and asking what she wanted to do (point she made in the first episode and that hurted their relationship previously) having Armin actually recognizing it and doing the effort in doing something that she wanted to do but he hated, is what I call good writing.
Why? Because when you introduce a conflict, you just don't forget it when it's convenient, you USE it. You solve it. You made the other character grow from it and show, through acts, how he actually care about the other character's feelings.
That's how amends can be made and shows the sincerity to change that the character that made the mistake previously has - you can redeem a character or a relationship.
There's no third character tricking our characters this time, there's no second hand and half hearted conflict developed for shock value anymore, Candy and Armin's conflict is about them, is about being together and be mature about it - it's fragile, can sound boring if you don't care about them as characters, but as someone that wanted it from/since his arc in high school in the first place, I feel so excited to see it happening now.
Armin's character feel more defined, more refined even in the idea they had for it, and that's what happens when routes are just about one character instead of multiple characters battling together to stand out and get attention.
Seeing him going on a walk with her through a trail to the beach was shocking, I was so sure he would try to trick her into going home with him instead after I saw the ilus and they it prove me wrong, I was so satisfied by it. That's show effort from him part, proves that he's not just trying to win her back with pretty words and emphty promises - instead he's being honest and open to changes for her, for them.
Tumblr media
The scene with them in his apartament was my least favorite scene, saving for the part when they felt so comfortable with each other that they took a nap together (she's holding his hand aaaaa), why it was my least favorite scene? I don't like when they throw buzz words that should fit Armin's personality just to fill space and it reminds me of his spin-off, which was more about trivia and buzz words than anything else.
But I guess the idea was having two different ilus and having two different outcomes so they laid us two easy choices, movie or videogames....... which I would've loved one ilus with her in his lap playing videogames but OKAY. I liked the napping one just as fine - I didn't like the computer one, sorry, cute, but the napping one looks better and is also cuter.
Last episode Candy's personality didn't annoyed me too much, but this time I felt a little bit annoyed, but I guess, I was seeing it from the perspective of someone that has already "forgiven" Armin instead of the realistic approach of someone who's trying to forgive and move on from what happened, which was Candy's perspective in this episode, so of course, she would be difficult - understandable even.
But noneless, kinda annoying.
All for all, I would give this episode a 8/10 for the fluffly, for flash out more of Armin's personality and his charming and even the little shit cheeky side that I ALWAYS wanted to see and I'm only getting now properly. This episode was more fluffly and all, but left some uncertainties like will Armin stay after his intership ends? Will Candy become his girlfriend despite not knowing if he's gonna stay or not?
Will they stop being horny for each other and actually fuck?, I ask. But episode 3 is always the sex episode, so that last question is useless lmao.

What's the difference between "resume virtues" and "eulogy virtues?"
Tumblr media
In the early aughts legendary adman Tom Messner wrote a story for ADWEEK called “The Old Testament,” in which he described Brain Surgery for Suits as one of the five books of Moses, suggesting people, “Read this at the beginning of your career rather than at the end, like me.”
Messner was being kind; in truth, that first effort was wanting in so many ways.  Its main virtue is what came after:  Brain Surgery gave rise to three editions of The Art of Client Service, each version better than one that preceded it.
Before it became the mouth-filling Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG, the eponymously named agency known by its founder and his partners had instituted Brain Food, a monthly lunchtime learning series for the agency, beginning with Ammirati & Puris alum and its prodigiously skilled, resident copywriter Joe O’Neill, who was then moonlighting as an arresting, persuasive, and insightful speaker.  I watched Joe on videotape – there were no MP4s back then – concluding his talk set a very high bar for those who came after him, me among them, given the following month I found myself at the podium.
I had all but forgotten about my visit to the agency until I unearthed a note, on Messner’s agency letterhead, from Greg Jones, who wrote to thank me for a lunchtime session I conducted at the shop.
Tumblr media
I previously had made countless presentations – sharing strategy, ideas, and material of all types with clients and colleagues, plus pitching new business to prospects – but this would be my first foray into sharing something based on a book I wrote.
I watched this first effort from more than 23 years ago, then followed by rewatching what might well be my last one (I surely hope not, but I’m a realist), given last Fall at the International Advertising Association’s Annual Conference, looking to see how things had changed, for better or worse, in terms of both delivery and content.
It was just a little weird to watch the old me; I certainly looked younger, with an abundance of hair framing a still graying beard.  I sounded pretty much the same, with my slightly (maybe overly?) nasal, Philly-inflected patois – rightly annoying to some, maybe many, listeners -- remaining largely changed.
In terms of content, what surprised me isn’t how much the two presentations diverge from one another, but how little.  The current presentation is much more visually sophisticated, but the ideas themselves?  Largely unchanged.
Why, I wondered.
I realized it’s not the result of thinking that has grown tired, stale, and out-of-date; instead, it’s the result of my having unearthed, more than two decades ago, core principles of client and colleague service that essentially have no expiration date.
Those principles, first retailed in a book, refined in three subsequent editions, then described and demonstrated in my workshops, are mainly about character.  Putting terminology aside for the moment, it explains why I’m partial to what New York Times columnist David Brooks says about the matter, claiming there are,
“two sets of virtues, the résumé virtues and the eulogy virtues. The résumé virtues are the skills you bring to the marketplace. The eulogy virtues are the ones that are talked about at your funeral — whether you were kind, brave, honest or faithful.”
In Chapter 1 of the current edition of The Art of Client Service I answer the question, “What makes a great account person?” by saying,
“It’s more about skills and qualities than about education and experience,” claiming, “Integrity has always been an essential quality of the best account people.”
Would David Brooks add “integrity” to his list of eulogy virtues?  I suspect he would, given all eulogy virtues are timeless and immutable, still governing  relationships between clients and their agencies, explaining why my first presentation nearly as instructive as my last.
