Did a bit of work on the pond today too. Pulled some rocks out, did some more sludge removal and added the little dwarf papyrus to the shallow end (had to stack it on a couple pavers). Probably one more good cleaning to go before I start adding fish! It was crystal clear before I stirred it to hell and back wading in it haha, should clear up quickly again though. I think I'm going to order a few more bog / aquatic plants for it this week that I can let fill in some before adding the fishies.

They're a nonprofit seed conservation organization that specializes in arid adapted crops and flowers. They also work to provide heritage seed strains for native descendant communities. Definitely excited to plant these!

Hi pals!

We're both having some bad times and have had bad family-related news separately, so we're getting less pictures of the kids right now. However, we've had SO many old pictures in drafts so I've spent some time queuing some older things - be prepared to see how tiny some of the animals were!

We'll be back to regular things in the near future I'm sure. Bear with us if we take a while answering asks and such for a while too.

hello! I've decided to take another little tumblr break. I've been super busy with school. I've been having a hard time just keeping up with pet chores recently and tumblr isn't my top priority. When I come back I believe I'm gonna rethink my posting schedule because it seems to not currently be sustainable, alternatively I might make some of my posts smaller and do more photo dumps of the kids or maybe a single fun fact in a post. I have some reblogs queued up. I'm going to be not posting excluding those for a few weeks. Hopefully over spring break I'll queue up some posts and get started again! I really love the reptile community here. I may not be a big account but I really appreciate the support, every like and reblog makes me smile <3 I will likely still be infrequently checking tumblr so I'll still reply to comments, DMs and maybe ask bin :)

I noticed I've been doing a lot of reblogs lately, it seems when I started to ensure I have a consistent upload schedule that I ended up reblogging a lot as they take less times than most of my other posts. While reblog accounts are totally cool that's not the direction I had in mind for @rosepetalexotics . I'm going to try and incorporate more photo dumps of the kids & short posts so that more of the posts are my own. I'm queueing up a bunch of fun stuff so I'll have some more original & educational content. Also starting 2/17 all my scheduled posts will be at 1pm PST, I've been scheduling for random times but I just wanted them to be the same.
