First time posting my own content but fuck it

"Jade moves around to the north of their circle, trying to get any advantage on her opponent when a strange memory comes to her. To her right, she sees an upturned feed-trough and a taller crate. Wanting to seize the opportunity and memory, she darts quickly up onto the trough, using it as leverage to jump onto the create. Her opponent looks up into the sun to track her and is blinded. Jade uses it to her advantage, jumping down onto him and landing her right cocked elbow into his left shoulder, while driving her left knee into his chest.

He stumbles and falls backwards, with Jade rolling forward and off him to the cheers of the spectators, coming to a stop at Ballantines feet.

Jade grins up at Ballantine as she stands up. She looks back towards her training partner, and while she wasn't surprised to see he was still down, she was stunned to see both the Queen, and more shocking the Princess standing at the Gate to the Northern Fields, openly staring and watching her.

As the crowd follows her gaze, they fall quiet.

A beat of silence rang throughout the yard, then

"Mom…mom…MOM!! Did you see that?"

The Princess rushed.

"That was awesome!"

Kit tore out from her mum’s grasp, running over to a breathless Jade. Jade had never seen the Princess up close, the last time being a year ago. Kit came to a halt just before she barrelled into Jade, her whole shaking with excitement.

"That was so cool! I can’t believe you did that! I’ve never seen anyone do that before. Can you teach me?"
