“you’re gonna get sick if you keep going like this, (y/n).” his hand touches your face and you slap his hand away. you know there was no way you could hurt superman, but he holds his hand looking hurt, and you feel a twinge of guilt. he holds out a bag from Big Belly Burgers and places it next to you.

you scooch back, your back hitting the wall, not willing to back down. “i’ll eat if you let me go.” you feel like a child throwing a tantrum, but you would do anything to go home.

you see him rub his forehead in frustration, “this isn’t working.” he mutters to himself. you don’t say anything, wanting to see what he would do. instead of trying to fight you again, clark picks up the bag. “i’ll come back when you’re ready.” he says.

“come back? what are you talking ab-” in one blast of air, clark was gone and you were alone.

days had gone by, you felt like you were going crazy from the solitude and the hunger. thankfully, clark had left mountains of water bottles for you, so you tried to fill up with those. it wasn’t enough, you had started to miss your kidnapper’s company after many conversations with yourself. all you could do was sleep or stare at the wall, blankly. after a week, you couldn’t take the isolation. “clark?” you call out, weakly. not a moment passes before he appeared before you.

his eyes were filled with pity and worry, “are you ready, sweetheart?” his hands cup your face and you lean into the warmth, nodding.

he could never hurt you. that entire week away was killing him, but the commenters were right. you just needed to know that he was all you needed.

it’s honestly quite simple, i’ve just been losing interest in most aspects of kpop aside from the music, which makes writing for it a lot harder than before. i also dealt with a lot of burn out for months and still forced myself to write which only made it worse. lastly, i’m an executive of two clubs at my school this year on top of all my classes, so finding time to write would be even worse than it was before :’) !

Once upon a time you were loved. Cherished. Adored. Just as he had promised in his vows, made in both you and Dolores’ presences. Once upon a time, he held your hand. He kissed your cheeks, held your face, and told you he loved you as he tickled your stomach and pressed his lips all over your face.

Oh, but like all fairy tales, they come to an end.

Once upon a time, Five Hargreeves loved you. Once upon a time, your love was returned.

But then he began to pull away. Yes, your darling husband would still smile sometimes. Sometimes he would pat your hand when you got an injury. But he would always pull back.

Eventually, even those things faded. He no longer smiled at you, only looking at you with disdain. If at all. Sometimes you would no longer wake to him by your side, but with him nursing a bottle by the desk. Once, he even kicked you out.

So you ran and ran, trying to find a solution. Always trying to help.

“You really are dense, aren’t you?!” he yelled one night as you presented your own equations. He began waving the bottle in his hand out of anger. “Can’t you see, darling? There’s no point! Nothing! So, say your last goodbyes, honey, because we’re all going bye-bye in a day or two!”

The nickname was no longer a term of endearment, but an insult. As was any amount of affection he showed you.

You remembered feeling hope just a few days before as the Handler dropped dead on the ground. As she fell, your worst enemy, Five rushed to you holding you in his arms as he shook. He didn’t even pay attention as Lila split. He just hugged you to his chest, rocking you back and forth.

You were far too shocked to do anything about it. He had not held you- let alone touched you- in days. You just sat there, stiff.

He was a little more affectionate then, pulling blankets up around your shoulders the second you were able to get some sleep; offering you a cup of coffee exactly the way you liked it when you woke.

It was heaven.

Is this what our lives will be like from now on? You thought, a smile on your face as you looked at him as he sassed his siblings. I could get used to this.

But then you landed home. He still held your hand, swinging it with his. You were still far too stunned to say anything to him, though you vowed to ask later.

And suddenly, things grew worse once more. Even more awful than they had been before.

He began flat-out ignoring you. He would avoid you; lightly push you out of his way if you grabbed him by his arms, begging him to tell you what was happening. He just brushed you off, a flippant look of annoyance on his face, telling you it was nothing.

So then you began to pull away, too.

You would not let him have you if he refused to take you in. You would no longer let him touch you if he wouldn’t. You would no longer try to get him back.

You could’ve sworn you saw despair cross his face as you stepped out of his way, not looking him in the eye, not smiling. Just…moving.

You were not his, you told yourself, sliding your wedding ring off of your finger after seeing his gone.

And he was not yours.

Your heart weighed heavy in your chest as you watched Luther and Sloane get married. Her in her beautiful white dress, Luther in his suit. 

You remembered your wedding. The vows that seemed to be broken so easily. 

You sat as far from him as possible; you crossed your legs, putting up your guard. No one would bring it down ever again, not if they were to stab you straight through the heart you so openly let them have.

And it was the same story at the reception as you drank from the bottle, downing it.

“You know, honey,” you heard a voice behind you, his words slurring. You turned to face it. “Drinking is bad for you. You shouldn’t do it.”

His hands went to your hair, muttering about how it was undone, how he’d have to re-do it. That was always his thing. He’d do the smallest things to help you; that included your hair, in fact that used to be his favorite little thing to do.

I swear, Y/N darling, I will always, always help you…Especially with your hair.

You moved out from under him, making him whimper, continuing to reach out. “Yet here you are, doing it just the same as I am.”

He shrugged, sitting down next to you, staring at you. There was an odd look in his eye; a look that you had seen a long time ago. A look that had asked you to marry him, a look that had brushed your hair back from your face and told you it loved you more than anything in the infinite universe.

Damn that look. 

“I can. It’s my job to make sure you don’t make the same mistakes I do, sweetheart.”

“It is not. We are in no way related to each other.”

“That’s not true, baby,” he laughed, “and you know it. I’m your-” He hiccupped, reaching out for your hair again. “-husband. You know? The one who is madly, and forever in love with you? The one who adores you beyond any sort of comprehension?”

“Oh!” you gasped, placing a hand to your heart dramatically. You almost pitied the fool; his face lit up as if recognizing that you finally understood what he meant. He reached out for you, about to pull you into his lap. “You mean the one that took his ring off and ignores me? Calls me an idiot? That one?” The smile on your face nearly broke it; the sarcasm nearly broke you.

His face fell; his eyes teared up. He grabbed you by the hips, pulling you into him. You tried to climb out, but he held you tighter, pressing his lips to the back of your neck.

“You have to know,” he whispered, “that everything I did…everything was a mistake.” He began to kiss your shoulders up and down. “And I want you to know that I’m incredibly disappointed in you; your lack of faith in me was quite unnerving. To think that a person like me, who’s only source of light was you, would just discard you like that.” He continued to kiss you, whispering ‘I love yous’ between them, tears dripping down your back now. When you began to talk, he shushed you. “I don’t get it. Why can’t I just have an apocalypse-free world for once? Why can I not have a world where I don’t have to deal with the thought of losing you at any given moment? Because it would be so hard. Losing you, you know? You are my life. My love. My everything. So what else could I do? Maybe…I thought that just maybe if I pushed you away–just maybe–I would feel less empty. Less angry, sad, depressed. I couldn’t–no, I can’t handle the thought of losing my light. My darling. My world. I thought that maybe I could make myself hate you. But that’s hard with a person who’s only flaw was loving me, huh?”

You tried to pull away. He interrupted you with a little tug, a kiss pressed firmly to the side of your neck, nipping it slightly. “Let me finish. Please.”

You leaned back, and he sighed, pulling you in even closer, pressing kiss after kiss to your neck, paying no mind to those who were watching.

“I suppose my point is that I was wrong. So, so wrong. And I’m so sorry; I’m sorry for hurting you, I’m sorry for making you think that I didn’t love you anymore, and I’m sorry that I’m such a fucking idiot that I couldn’t treat you to the best last days possible. I’m sorry that I couldn’t hug you, hold you. God, I’m sorry for myself too. Do you know how much I’ve missed this? How much I’ve craved it? Your touch? The feel of you in my arms?”

“Five,” you whispered, voice soft. There were tears in your eyes. “You’re drunk. You’re not…you’re not coherent. You don’t know what you’re saying.”

“Oh, darling. Don’t you remember the phrase I taught you? Drunk words are sober thoughts. And, trust me, I could not stop thinking about you for the past few weeks. At night. During the day. All the time. Hell, I even dreamed of you.”

so like not really a kinfession but kinda wanna know if how im feeling abt this is valid (no pressure to respond if u guys dont want to btw!)

so my bf and i are planning on making a comic based around our "sonas" (idk what else to call them), but how these came to be was us literally drawing ourselves how we see ourselves essentially. like for me, im demonkin, so i just drew how i remember myself and then projected all my memories to this "character" and i think my bf did something really similar to that when making his, so basically we are these characters and they are us

after a while we added aspects to them that dont reflect memories (such as the two of them dating) but more so reflect us CURRENTLY, as well as some random things that just make sense and these "sonas" became very important to us and huge parts of ourselves (naturally, since we are them)

now wed love to do this and possibly post the series on tumblr and/or another site as a nice project between the two of us but thats when my bf realized: what if people kin them? and it kinda made us uncomfortable thinking about it since its based off our own otherkin experiences and that theyre literally us

so basically what id like to know is if itd be wrong to ask people to not make fan works (if it gets popular) and tag them as kin and stuff? weve seen people mark stuff with that and so thats why i planned on doing that, but do u think people would understand our discomfort? ik people cant help kins, but id feel a lot more comfortable if people didnt make it comfortable they're whole public identity based around one of us or used our work as face claims and stuff. am i being irrational or is this understandable?? (sorry if any of this sounds repetitive im kinda nervous lol)

the thing is, if this does get popular (and thats a big if- i dont mean that as an insult you truly cannot predict these things) yes there will be issues. youre not being Irrational, and i understand where ur coming from but im *in* the same community as you & kin also. if this gets popular, there are inevitably going to be people who dont understand and ignore that boundary, because you cant exactly stop people from doing that once smth gets big. theres a difference between like, asking someone to not kin tag an art post vs not kin from a Popular Piece Of Media, yk? it wouldnt be a wrong thing to ask for no. but if youre ok w the possibility that this could blow up ur gonna have to realize that you cant control an entire fanbase that closely and what ur afraid of is likely to happen. tldr i think this is understandable but im not just the average consumer that doesnt have the full story

Last movie:

the Demon Slayer movie. I skipped all the way to the end to see the fight between Akaza and Rengoku because they're two of my favs ( in order from that show: Uzui (my mom calls yuzu (my cat) Uzui and its adorable) Akaza and Rengoku. I Found out the english dub is out (im way behind) and just needed to hear their english voice acting. all of it is amazing and Akaza's lil gigles during the fight make me incredibly happy. Guys who laugh/giggle mid combat? Ugh >\\x//<

Currently Watching:

Demon Slayer, Chainsaw man, Tokyo ghoul (im rewatching a bunch of animes) Steven universe. (i love all of these and full recommend them. I literally just yesterday(or the day before idk time is a blur) got a new funko pop, it's the half-kakuja kaneki and i love it.)

Other stuff i've watched this year:

Spy x Family, the Junji ito Collection, Yamishibai (if you like picture style art and horror this is great, its somewhat junji ito like, but shorter stories and ngl the zanbai ep scared me a bit) psychpass (some reccomended this to me cause im (obviously) a fan of darker more gruesome shows, and it is very dystopian, love the art work, but i just dont get it.) Given (if you havent watched this show please watch it its amazing) Yuri on ice, Banana Fish (also another fave)

(I work from home, and pretty much exist at my computer, and need to keep on music or tv to keep the bad thoughts out, so i have a lot of time and opportunity to watch stuff ok)

Shows I dropped this week:

Psycho pass. again, i just couldnt get into it. I know a lot of people seem to really like and it full seems like a show that would be up my alley. that first ep was kind of a lot though. I'm not ashamed to admit i love shows that are unafraid to show nudity and violence but the two together (ifykyk) make me uncomfortable. If this case had been a little further in the show i think it would have been fine, but it's litterally the first like ten minutes of the show. I also tried watching this a few week ago while at wasteland but we were pretty much just out the door.

Devil May Cry. I still love the games and the characters, and i remember loving the anime as a kid but its just... so different from the games lmao.

Currently Reading:

random internet stuff, fics and shit. I feel bad because i used to go to the library all the time but at the same time, i dont really have the room to store a whole bunch of books and despite being super dyslexic, i read insanely fast, so renting/buying books isnt worth it to me. (i've read entire full length series in the span of a day or two, while doing other stuff. I need longer, more conveniently packaged novels and that typically comes in the form of fanfiction. )

The nitty gritty is watering down katara's character so she's just a meek girl ? Your lying If you really think that's the same character. The producers said they would take an axe to the main characters and that's where the show really suffers...also nothing is perfect people like you is why we get stuck with mediocrity

?? I finished episode 5 but what😭 how is katara just a meek girl, i feel like yes she has a little less rage but other than that she shows that shes smart and powerful and her own person? Explain what is watered down i feel like animation usually over-exaggerates facial expressions and voices for the most part, so i’m not surprised that katara has more subtle strength so far, and also the actress has a very kind face, but i think shes still able to show some of that anger. (I havent watched the water master fight yet so maybe thats where you’re talking about, so i cant speak on that)

Idk what taking an axe to the main characters means (like really cutting them apart? Cuz i doubt they would promote a show by saying its gonna be bad but who knows). But i feel like the characters are all pretty accurate with how they carry themselves, of course they’re younger so acting wont be perfect but i think the imperfections are what brings them to life. I know a lot of people hate the writing, i feel like it’s quite similar to the show? (Though its been maybe 3-4 years since i last rewatched it) and some lines especially from something previously animated are gonna sound awkward in real life, which is why generally i believe live actions arent necessary for any animation, though in this case i’m really enjoying just rewatching atla and my childhood be brought to life.

Nothing is perfect: ok i was using perfect mostly because i was very excited about it, of course i know theres things that could be changed to improve it but a lot of those things are impossible (like you cant get an actress thats EXACTLY katara and will make everyone happy, because shes a drawing) but overall, i think the landscapes come close to perfect (i’m just really into fantasy scenes and i think it’s so beautiful and impressive to see things like the omashu supply rail and the air temple come to life. And zuko’s boat looks so awesome and so accurate too.) And i thought the cgi looked slightly silly at first (especially air) but then i realized that we were always seeing drawings of aangs air in the animation which would look even stupider irl so i made my peace pretty quickly.

People like me is why we get stuck with mediocrity… hm. I feel like my opinion probably has nothing to do with what comes out on tv, especially because in this society haters have the real power, and you guys tearing it down are more likely to get it cancelled. I don’t think any production team takes an animated film or show and thinks ‘yea im gonna make this absolutely awful,’ (though i’m really not sure what they were thinking when making the pjo movie, its good as a standalone but they went so off course from the plot…) of course they’re all just trying to fit what they think into the show and express their own opinions, which are ultimately going to be a lot different than some people watching it.

Overall, ok i haven’t watched the og in years, so my memory on comparing each episode of the show to the live action is not going to be at the level of others (which i think boosts the enjoyability 100x over). But as i watch it, i remember tons of parts of the animation, and it makes me super happy that it has the same air as the show, albeit slightly more serious because they can’t fit all the funny filler episodes (if they ever created a live action lost appa episode i would lose it that cannot happen).

Maybe i sounded rude in my original post (i changed it quickly bc it was very angry at first lol) so sorry i know you’re all entitled to your opinion, it’s just i was SO EXCITED and then checked the tag on tumblr only to see that everyone hated it… i always feel inferior to people who really like films etc because i tend to enjoy things that other people hate, (like i really enjoyed the avatar way of water movie even if it was super long, and i know people DESPISED it). So maybe i seem like someone who is satisfied with mediocrity, and maybe i am, i focus mostly on the backgrounds and beauty of movies because im really into art and much less on acting and script (though i can appreciate beautiful characters, i was Blown Away by live action suki and hair down sokka my jaw dropped fr) i agree i am fairly simple to please in terms of this type of thing.
