So basically ATLA brain rot has hit me like a truck

im so late on this but for the wip folder ask: HADES CODY????? SUNSHINE BOY BUT HADES??? im so hyped about it

YES! Sunshine boy is steadily making his way into the Hades AU!! He’s got his jetpack and a torn up poncho for dramatic effect (but no Wi-Fi antenna because I didn’t want to put it in his face 😅)

Why did I feel it necessary to add all these sketches to this one page? Because 1) I wanted to showcase how much I struggled on this one. It is just part of the drawing process. Like, Old Man Rex was a headache and a half but Cody still had him beat on the sketch somehow. And 2) because the solution to being stuck here turned out to be to switch my dark brown/desaturated purple to a red colour, scribble out the very very base of the pose (imagine blobs and swoopy lines and boxes) and then just keep chipping away at building the body and armor and whatever on top of it. (I think the sketch is still very red in the original file…)That had granted me a breakthrough with Rex as well, and now with Cody too… so I might as well remember this solution and spare myself the trouble with the next character ^^;

(Do I know what size a lightsaber actually is when it is held in only one hand? No. Am I willing to look it up properly? … not for the time being, no)

(and special thanks to Lou and Niko for bringing up Overwatch this week, because digging up my old reference folder from that fandom really helped me figure out parts of this sketch🫣🥰)

Dumb art advice for people who can’t understand logic like me:

First, turn off your brain and just draw a bunch, for example you want to learn to draw hands, go on Pinterest search ‘Hands’ and just copy what you see, do this everyday for 30min-1hour, slowly you’ll get a vague understanding of how hands work

THEN, go and watch some tutorials and the learn structure of the hand. The logic and structure are important but you won’t understand anything if you don’t already have a good picture of what the thing look like in your brain.

(This method works really well if you want to learn anatomy, don’t go dig into the muscle and skeleton, draw figures first, you don’t need to know what you’re drawing you just need to have an understanding of the flow of human body, it will help you greatly later on when you really go into the structure of body)

Of course this is only based on personal experiences, you can learn the theories and then practice but that did not work for me, if I don’t have hands on experience on what I’m drawing I won’t understand a single word in the tutorial. Do what works best for you I’m just putting this out here

I was scrolling through my art folders on procreate, and I found this huge panoramic piece of a bunch of fnafsb Sun & Moon artists with mini versions of their Suns & Moons that I really looked up to.

Unfortunately it never really got past the sketching phase and even then I hadn’t gotten everyone drawn who I wanted to.

But looking back at it gives me this big smile and reminds me of all the good memories of the fandom I think I might as well share it.

Also mind you this is like a year old so it may not be entirely accurate to the designs.

Why I like to torture myself with these elaborate panoramic pieces with like 10+ individuals on a piece is beyond me.

new headdress I'm working on for my shop. Lambkin, the pet name varré gives us in elden ring, is such a cute word. The pink yarn is very light against the cream, it's hard to capture but it "blushes" in light, almost disappearing under certain angles and light! Accented with antique lace, and it'll have a gorgeous matching ribbon and bows.

I haven't posted any personal work in a while so here's something I'm taking time on for myself ^-^
