okay okay okay. so we all like us a good danny damian twins au, yeah? I'm a sucker for duos who are twice as dangerous together than alone, either adapting to or being taught to cover each others weak spots.
Samurai typically carried three swords on them, if what I recall from 8th grade and what my 10 minutes of googling tells me is correct, a longer sword that was used for longer-range combat, a shorter sword used for close range combat, and then the third was a smaller sword, if it really counts as a sword, that would be used to honorably kick the bucket in case of failure. Anyways.
now this could work with three people, I dunno make it more interesting or whatever, but the primary two swords, a longsword and a shortsword, (technically there were five swords (???) , but I'm not going too deep into it right now) they were to be used in different scenarios, to cover different weaknesses. Do you see where I'm going with this? Now obviously they'd be trained to use both, but Damian uses a katana specifically, a longsword and one of the longer swords used by a samurai. I know they aren't samurai. Doesn't change the fact that the weaponry is at least similar in some regards. Damian learned to use a katana, the longsword of the pair primarily used, where Danny could have primarily used a shortsword. Damian, taught more longer range with the sword, meant to cover the broad majority, being more comfortable with everything and the older twin. Danny, younger by only a couple minutes raised with the shortsword, usually being less comfortable with the whole killing thing with the exception being when it comes to Damian. Whereas Damian would cover the broad majority, Danny more agile and ever sneakier would cover blind spots.
They both still learn to use the others weapon. They both still learn to have their own backs. But when they're nine or so, something goes wrong, an intentional test to both where Danny can't move fast enough, and to avoid the heir taking the hit, takes it himself. He doesn't quite get back to base soon enough to survive. Talia rolls him into the pit, and Danny is sent away, practically kicking and screaming. Gets picked up by the fentons, and learns to fight differently. He learns to shoot, he learns all kinds of ranged combat, and he is gifted a proper katana that can be used against ghosts for his 14th birthday, three days before he walks into the portal. He learns to fight in ways that the league hardly ever considered, so that when Damian finds him again, or the day that he can go back arrives, Damian will never be at risk from Ra's and neither will he. He never uses the katana.
Eventually, someway somehow, Danny finds Damian again, out in Gotham. I'm impartial to trying fenton parents, who don't quite know how to react, never poorly, but unsure regardless. Danny doesn't know how to deal with the tension in the house and follows Jazz to gotham, locking the portal finding ways around it on his own.
Whether it be a night that Robin is out on his own, or maybe seen with another bird, but not the bat himself, he is on his own, and he missteps. A wrong footing, an instinctual move that cannot be followed up without a partner to battle with, regardless, Danny is there in a moment, eyes as green as the day he rose from the pit, to fill in the blanks again. A moment, a word, a name exchanged (Pollux, to Castor. The Demigod who survived after his mortal brother died, an ironic tale for the two now.) and the scuffle lasts no more than a few moments after.
Damian thinks he'll keep this one to himself for a moment, ensure it's him, not another twisted clone, and learning about the time spent apart. A week later, Bruce is hearing of Robin's shadow coming to life, before Danny is brought into the fold. The first time there's an Arkham breakout is when the bats and the birds really understand why the simple slip ups on the training mats happened, why Damian seemed to much better and clumsier when fighting alongside somebody else.
They also learned how dangerous the two can really be.

Pairing: Tom!Peter Parker x bodyguard!fem!reader
Warning: none
A/n: The relationship in this fic will be a platonic one! Peter is 15 yo and Y/n is in her 20s (Timeline: Homecoming)
Summary: What happens when Peter's class gets a new transfer student? And why does Peter feel so uneasy about her?
MY NAVIGATION
Tumblr media
"Dude, I heard our class will get a new transfer student today; do you think it is a girl?" Ned excitedly told Peter, who is too busy stuffing some new study notes in his locker.
For the past few days, he has been trying to balance life and work, hoping nobody suspects a thing or two about him. And what did Ned say again? New girl?
"Oh? yeah yeah, I guess that is cool" Peter said without turning back, and just when he was finally able to close the locker, the bell rang, earning a small sigh from him.
===🕷🕷🕷===
"Alright class, settle down. As you guys might know, we are getting a new student today. Why don't you introduce yourself, sweetheart?" The teacher flashed a big smile and gestured towards the person standing, shifting the whole class's attention.
"Hi... I'm..Y/n" The woman gives a small wave and scans the whole class until she sees the familiar curly brown hair peeking from afar.
'Gotcha'
Y/n can't help but show a subtle smirk. The kid does look pretty cute. Now she only needs to-
"Hey hun, are you shy? Aww, I understand. Let me find you a seat first, okay?"
Before Y/n could even comprehend what was going on, someone in the class yelled out loud "I HAVE A SEAT HERE!". Who is that anyway? Y/n look at the boy in a polo shirt who has the biggest grin ever on his face. It seems like her plan is ruined, but at least now she can watch Peter from behind.
"Oh dear sorry Ned, but it seems like Flash spoke up first." The teacher gave an apologetic smile and waited for Y/N to go take a seat before starting the class.
"Okay now today we will be learning about...."
The teacher's voice faded out as Peter stared at Y/n; there was something about her that made him feel uneasy. He noticed that ever since she introduced herself, she was looking directly at him! Does no one think that is creepy?
Ned laughed before wrapping his arm around Peter's shoulder and patting his back. "Sorry man, I tried to get her to sit with us, she is so pretty....." Despite Ned daydreaming about Y/N, all Peter can feel is anxious. Sure, she is pretty, but is she hiding something?
His spider's sense has been tingling, and Peter could only hope that it is wrong for once.
*BANG*
Or not.
"EVERYBODY RUN, QUICK QUICK!" Peter rushes everyone out of the classroom after a gunshot shattered the window. He wants to look around and see where it is coming from, but god, he can't focus when everyone is screaming so loud and pushing him on their way.
"Stay back kid"
"Huh-" Before Peter could react, he saw the new student - Y/n, standing straight on the table with two katanas on her back. Where did she get them from? And where did she hide- Ugh, that's not important right now; he needs to get his suit before anyone gets hurt.
Y/N doesn't seem panicked like Peter; she is chatting with the intruder like it is the most boring thing ever.
"What do you think you're doing, being brave and shit, STAY DOWN OR I WILL SHOOT" The guy with a black ski mask yelled, hands still clutching the small gun and aimed it at Y/n.
"Ouch, you kissed your mama with that mouth?" Y/n snaps back before drawing one of her katanas; this man isn't worth fighting for more than ten minutes.
She was ready to take action when suddenly Peter (now in his Spider-Man suit) jumped in and knocked the gun out of the intruder's hand.
"You shouldn't bring a gun into school man" He said before shooting out a spider's web and sticking the man to the wall, making him unable to move and stay still in defeat.
'Cool okay great..uhh..now I need to call the pol-'
Peter thinks to himself, completely ignoring the person behind him, who is now fuming with rage.
"Hey!" Y/n yelled at Peter; she couldn't believe he didn't listen and stay back like she told him to.
The sudden voice made Peter jump and shoot his spider web at Y/n's hand out of instinct, binding it together.
"HEY!"
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I- wait, no, I-I did that on purpose, who are you and are you trying to kill me?!" Peter tries to talk without stuttering; he wants to know if this girl is a threat.
But now Y/n is really, REALLY mad. She thought this would be an easy job, but it seems like Peter is more than that; this boy just accused her of being the bad guy?? "Fyi, I'm older than you, kiddo. Is that how you treat adults? Kids these days..." Y/n rolled her eyes backward in irritation.
Peter looks even more confused, older? Aren't they the same age?. "Okay I-..uhhh I won't repeat myself again, who.are.you?" He emphasize the last three words while keeping a distance with Y/n, making her laugh out loud.
'What is so funny about this'
'I swear to god if I die protecting this kid..'
Both of them think at the same time while looking at each other. Y/N decides to make a move first. She walks up to the intruder and swiftly gives him an elbow strike, knocking him out easily. Peter watched the whole scene with wide eyes and decided to take a few steps back for his safety.
"Take the phone out of my front pocket" Y/n said while waiting for Peter to do so. The boy pointed at her pants to confirm again if it was the right pocket, which made Y/n chuckle. "Yes genius, go on; I would have taken it on my own if you hadn't tied my hands together like this"
Peter mumbles a small sorry and pulls out the phone, noticing how it's strangely familiar. But before he could ask Y/n about it, the screen lit up with an incoming video call from Tony Stark, so of course Peter did what any reasonable person would do: pick up the call.
"Omg omg Mr.Stark I- this is crazy but-"
Tony is taken back when Spider-Man is the one who picks up the phone; why did he have Y/n's phone? "Peter, slow down and take off your mask; it is hard to hear when you have it on and speak at supersonic speed"
Peter did as Tony told him to, but before he could say another word, Tony cut him off. "If you have this phone, I assume you already know Y/n; where is she?"
Peter holds the phone to where Y/n is sitting with her legs propped up on the table. She waves her hands full of sticky spider's web to Tony as a way of saying hello, earning a small gasp from the older man.
"Y/n! You okay? Peter seriously?"
"I'm fine sir" - "But mr. Stark!"
Y/n and Peter speak up at the same time, earning a groan from Tony. "Only one at a time, please, and you can call me Tony."
Peter can't hide his surreal excitement; is he going to say Mr. Stark's first name? "Ah...well Tony-"
"Not you kid, I was talking to her"
Ouch. That hurt.
Y/n quickly jumps in to break the awkward silence; the last thing she wants is for her boss and the person she has to protect to get into a fight. "Oh, it's fine, sir, but I think Peter will need you to... explain everything right now; I can wait."
Tony adjusted his glasses and fixed his collar's suit before speaking. "Oh, yes, right. I will say this quick, cuz I have a lot of work to do. Peter, Y/n is your bodyguard-"
"What!?" Peter can't hide his mixed emotions when Tony says the word bodyguard.
"Hey, it's rude to speak when the adult is speaking, okay? She is your bodyguard, but only for a short time. I need someone to look over you and the suit *cough cough* my suit. Got it?"
Peter pouts. "But Mr. Stark, I can handle everything on my own; I don't need a bodyguard!" He quickly turned toward Y/n. "No offense to you."
Tony look at his watch; this conversation is wasting him too much precious time now. "You need a bodyguard, that's it."
"Why do I need a bodyguard?!"
"BECAUSE I SAID SO. End call"
The video call abruptly ended on Tony's command, leaving Peter to lower his head in shame. Maybe he is overreacting; it is not that bad...right?
Peter, look over to where Y/N is sitting; she is holding her hands up, eyes full of boredom.
"Can you get me out of your web?...please?"
Yea...It might not be that bad.

Chapter IX: I Love You
NOTE: There are NSFW mature themes towards the end, there's a warning before hand, so you'll know and can choose not to read.
Chapter Key:
——— = a flashback is happening or ending ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ or ====
= perspective change
~ = small time skip
---
You shift in the seat cushion of the chair, feeling slightly relieved after today's session.
You tap your fingers into the wooden armrests, smiling at the familiar jet-black-haired lady, whose red lips curl into a smile as well, her early showing wrinkles crinkling at the corners of her eyes.
“You did a great job.”
The woman you’ve come accustomed to seeing once a week on Friday mornings sighs with contentment, “Y/n, you did a great job. I was simply here to listen and provide you with the steps to heal and move past those horrible experiences you’ve had.”
You are nearing the end of your discussion and final session with her, but she’s helped you so much with time.
Half a year has passed since the last major events in your life. Donatello had put up a different type of glass for you that won’t shatter at all, which you were extremely grateful for.
You assumed that Raphael’s gestures and open arms would be able to help you fully heal. Master Splinter helped as well, he listened to you talk about the situation.
You see, having two traumatic instances where you possibly could’ve died is not something that goes away easily. It shakes you mentally and sometimes leaves you with PTSD. You truly thought you were doing just fine with Raphael soothing and helping you on the night the man broke in, as well as the very first incident of almost being assaulted. However, sometimes, you have to get help from another source.
It started small, where loud noises caused you to become startled and you automatically would freeze up. However, the first major episode was in the Lair, when Mikey accidentally dropped a box of lightbulbs, causing them all to shatter on the floor.
—-
“And now we just…steady…MIKEY! STEADY!” Donnie exclaims to his younger brother as he watches the lightbulb fall to the ground. He was fixing a lamp from Mikey’s room, and the orange-clad turtle wanted to be all handy and help out. Donnie (reluctantly) agreed, knowing that at least one bad thing would happen during a seemingly easy task.
At this time, You were learning self-defense lessons from Splinter, along with Leo and Raph. It was very quiet throughout the Dojo and even the whole Lair, only the grunts and sounds of your punches hitting Leonardo were heard.
“Okay, now try sweeping me off my-“
BANG!
Suddenly, the loud noise of glass shattering on the floor is heard, ringing through the dojo.
“Tha hell was- Y/N!” Raphael is the first to run to your side as you’re curled up in a ball on the floor, but he doesn’t know what he should do. Leonardo puts his practice katana down and also runs to your side, and Master Splinter gets up from his position off the floor to tend to you.
”Y/n? What is the matter?” Master Splinter's voice echoes through your head, but you can’t answer. Your hands cover your ears, and the only look in your widened eyes is fear.
“Sorry, guys, Mikey here doesn’t…hey, is something wrong?” Donatello and a sheepish-looking Michelangelo trudging behind him enter the dojo as well, and now all eyes are focused on you and your well-being.
“I don’t know, Don.” Raphael is gentle with you, as he goes to his knees and draws comforting circles on your back. You both sit like this for a few moments, until you snap out of whatever trance you were in.
“I…I’m…fine.” You hide your red, tear-stained face from Raph, who helps you back on your feet.
“Bullshit,” He doesn’t rudely mean this, and you know that; but he can tell when you’re really not doing your best. You shouldn’t lie and hide how you’re truly feeling, it’ll only blow up in your face as time goes on.
“Raphael! Language.”
“Sorry, Mastah Splintah. Y/n…ya ain’t fine.” Your eyes adjust to your surroundings, and you become slightly overwhelmed that everyone is staring at you, all with concern.
Raphael has started to read you and how you feel. He’s still getting the hang of it, but right now, he’s 1000% sure that something’s going on with you.
“It’s probably from how loud it was, it just scared me, is all.” You huff, trying to divert the attention away from you.
Everyone else deems it as you simply getting startled, but Donatello and Raphael think it’s something serious. Splinter really does not want to pry, as it may be a sensitive topic for you to be open about, but he trusts that Raphael will be able to get through to you and really find out what’s wrong.
~
“I dunno what ta do, Don.” Raphael sits across from his brother in his lab, as he does some extensive research to come up with some possibilities on what may be up with you. Medical databases, websites, and anything he could find.
“Has this happened before?” He asks, typing on his notepad on his computer. Raph takes a moment and thinks about other times it was as bad as today, but they all seem minor compared to this one.
“Just because they weren’t as serious, doesn’t mean we should ignore them. Was it the same? Reaction to a loud noise?” He asks his older brother. Raphael then hears your quiet laughter coming from the other side of the lab door, followed by Mikey’s voice. Raphael sighs, smiling at the fact that Mikey is trying to make you feel better in some way. He truly does appreciate his brothers.
“Anythin’ with glass. It ain’t just objects fallin’ eitha. She avoids goin’ out when it’s dark unless it’s with me, she’s been avoiding hangin’ with Jade in the nighttime, unless it’s earlia.”
“Hmm…you see, now, I don’t want to diagnose her, I can’t, actually. I’m not a doctor. But…”
“But, what?” Raph asks, anxious to hear Donnie’s answer.
“Given that she’s been almost assaulted by a gang, and had someone break into her apartment, it sounds like she’s showing signs of post-traumatic stress disorder, Raph.”
He’s taken aback by Donnie’s theory with your current mental state and scoffs.
“No way, she woulda told me that.”
“PTSD is something people aren’t aware they have until it gets bad, Raph. The best action you can take as her boyfriend is to offer support so she can have that realization.”
---
So, that’s what Raph did.
He gave you support. It took a few weeks for you to come to the realization Donnie was talking about, actually. You initially knew something was up, but couldn’t put your finger on it.
Up until one night, while you were in the comfort of your own home. It was worse than the first incident in the lair because the setting you were in reminded you of the break-in as well.
---
“Whaddya think, Y/n?” Jade twirls around in the 5th and final dress she had to try on for you. It shocked you, but Jade was preparing for a date with, get this,
Teddy.
It all happened so smoothly when Jade decided to walk you to a class pertaining to your major since hers was canceled. You, unfortunately, were still stuck going to class.
Luckily for you, Teddy was aiming for the same degree as you, so you saw him frequently in your classes throughout the new semester. You both decided to sit together once again like it’s tradition.
The football player was already in his usual seat, his bag on the chair next to him, holding your spot. As you and Jade made your way to your spot, Teddy was, quite literally, starstruck with Jade.
So much so, that he immediately asked for her number or whatever social media she had.
“He’s a good guy, Jade, promise.” You whispered into her ear as she was thinking if she should give Teddy the time of day.
“Hmm…tell ya what, Wilds.”
“Yes Goddess Jade- err, I mean Jade?” He plays his sentence off smoothly, whilst scratching the back of his neck nervously waiting for her answer.
“You’re cute, and you seem harmless, so why not?” Yes! You could SEE the fireworks go off in Teddy’s mind.
That man would not stop talking about her the whole time after she left, he was seriously excited that he was already planning on a first date.
The rest is history.
And now, here you are, watching Jade’s cheeks turn red just at the mention of Teddy’s name.
“I think-”
CRASH!
You stop mid-sentence, as a loud crash is heard coming from the hallway outside your apartment door.
“Whoa! What the hell was that?! Hey,- Y/n?” Jade stops talking when she notices you curled up in a ball on your bed. She immediately rushes to your side, confused about what’s wrong with you.
“You okay?” You did mention the fact that you were almost robbed a few weeks prior, but Jade didn’t seem to put the pieces together that your reaction was a result of that incident.
“Hey, it’s okay, you’re safe. I’m right here.” She tries soothing you, but it doesn’t go away. Soon, you’re pushing her away while telling her to stop touching you.
“Wha? Y/n, I’m your friend!”
“Get away! I don’t have any money!”
“Oh…” A lightbulb seems to go off in Jade’s head because she’s telling you to repeat positive affirmations while keeping her distance from you.
“You’re safe, you’re okay.” She repeats for what was the 50th time. She spent 20 minutes trying to calm you down, and it was working.
“I’m…safe…I’m…”
“You’re okay, Y/n.”
“I’m…I’m not okay.” You take a deep breath, physically and mentally drained from all the panic you were in.
“I think…something’s wrong. With me, I mean.” Jade gets up from the opposite side of your room and sits down next to you.
“I get like that whenever glass breaks or shatters loudly, I don’t understand.” You feel defeated, truly.
“How about this, we get some fresh air, while it’s still bright outside?” Jade’s offer is nice, and you decide to accept it.
~
‘Jade is truly a great friend,’ you think to yourself. She takes you to one of your favorite spots to get food and tries to get your mind off of things for the time being. She did the best she could, but it was something that loomed over your mind for the entirety of being outside.
So when she walks you back to your place, she asks you if you’ll be fine on your own for this evening.
“I’ll be okay, thanks, Jade. Really.”
“You’re my friend, Y/n, I’m a phone call or text away.” With that, she gives you a gentle hug before returning home.
~
“Hello?”
“Hey, Donnie?” You ask, hoping he has some time to spare.
“Hey, Y/n! You doing okay?” He asks sincerely, only for you to sigh on the other end.
“I…no. You’re right, about something being wrong.”
You can hear Donatello shift in his chair, “Oh no, Y/n. It happened again?”
Laying on your bed in a starfish position, you gaze at your ceiling, “It was worse. I…thought Jade was an intruder.”
“Give me a few minutes, Raph and I will be right over.”
When Donnie and Raph did make it to your apartment, they could feel something is off the moment they both step in.
“Hey babe, com’ere.” You walk over to Raph, smiling at him as he embraces you in a warm hug. Donatello greets you and flashes a small smile, as he says he’s going to give you both some time alone before you all talk about what could be wrong.
“Where’s my favorite Stelly-Welly?” Donatello cooed as he searched for your cat in the living room. He’s been obsessed with Stella since he fixed your window, she was just so sweet!
Raphael’s golden eyes stare into yours with concern.
“We’re gonna help ya, don’t worry.”
“Thank you, Raph.” You wrap your arms around his neck and plant a kiss on his lips.
“Anytime, babe.”
~
When it came down to Donatello telling you what may be wrong, you were shocked, to say the least. You told him that you would’ve never thought those events would have an effect on you after the fact, months down the line even.
But, he explained that that’s how your mental state is affected. You may physically be okay, but deep down your brain is still expecting the worst of the worst.
So as Donnie showed you the many resources and steps you could take to get help beyond just friends and Raph, you took it.
“If it worsens or stays the same after speaking with a licensed therapist, they may even prescribe you medication,” He says. As nervous you may feel right now, you know that you can’t simply “get over it.” You have to find a way to heal, much deeper than how you initially thought you had been. You’re also not alone at all, it seems.
As Donatello focuses on helping you find a local clinic and a potential therapist, Raphael is focused on keeping your spirits up.
—-
That was the beginning of your journey to recovery. It wasn’t an easy one, opening up to a complete stranger about the events. But, with time, it worked.
You thank your therapist, Christina, once again for her help. She smiles her usual sweet smile, and tells you that whenever you may need to speak to her again about anything, she’s always here.
“I’m glad Raphael is still by your side in all this, he seems great for you.” She says as her final thought. She’s right, Raphael is truly a great match for you.
“He's done a lot for me, Christina. So much, it’s unthinkable.”
“I’m glad to hear that,” Christina tucks a strand of hair behind her left ear, “I’m also glad I was able to be of help to you, Y/n.”
With that, you give her one final goodbye, and you head out of that same familiar birch door that squeaked everytime it was touched, out into the world once again.
You made your way through the bustling city streets, the warm polluted air kissing your face. It’s springtime, and that meant you were wrapping up your spring semester as a sophomore, ready to be a junior. It wasn’t easy, especially dealing with the new mental health crisis you discovered. Not only this, but classes seemed to be longer, the work harder, and the deadlines coming quicker.
But, you were getting through it, and not a lot of college students can say that. By this point, the average person may have dropped out by now, but not you. You’re strong- and you were determined to graduate college.
Since your therapy sessions were finished, you felt hopeful for the days to come. You haven’t had any episodes since the last time with Jade that were THAT bad, but you’re still getting comfortable going out at night.
You couldn’t wait for tomorrow, as you were going to visit your boyfriend. Until then, you’ve been talking on the phone after therapy sessions for reassurance and just to enjoy the sound of each other’s voice.
“I’m glad it worked for ya, princess. I see it. Donnie sees it, too.” Raph says on the other end.
Unlocking your apartment door, you’re greeted by the warm air due to very nice heating, “Thank you guys. Hey, I’m gonna come over tomorrow, I’m gonna go through withdrawal if I don’t see you.” You whine jokingly, well, half-jokingly. Raphael chuckles on the other end, his low voice always sending you down a spiral of restlessness.
“Trust me, I miss ya more, I’ll try and swing by tonight afta patrol, sound good?” The red-banded turtle asks.
“More than good, Raph.”
~~~~~~~~~
“Raphael~!” You sing as you enter the lair.
The living space is empty, except for Leonardo at the kitchen table sipping some tea.
“I’m not Raph, but hello, Y/n. Look, Mikey made me toast.” Leonardo says happily he takes a bite of a slightly darkened piece of whole wheat toast. Leonardo has confessed to you that he couldn’t cook, so he often relies on Mikey for that.
“It’s so easy bro. You just pull the lever down and…actually, Nevermind. Dudette! Hey!” Mikey says as he comes down the stairs with a comic in his hands. You greet and give him your usual giddy hug, and he takes a seat on the couch.
“I’ll get Raph for you. Observe. Ahem, RAPHIE!” Mikey exclaims from his spot, only for Leo to shush him and Donnie to wheel out of his lab on his chair, giving Mikey a dirty look from the darkened corridor and slowly wheeling back in.
Suddenly, you see Raphael and Splinter emerge from the dojo, and you watch as Raph’s amber eyes glared at his younger brother, also giving him a dirty look.
“That nickname is exclusive ta Don, Mikey! It’s our thing!” Raph reminds. Mikey can’t help but laugh, and Leo can’t help but sigh at the situation.
“Hey, Raph.” “Hi, Master Splinter.” You bow at their rat Sensei, as you read somewhere that it was a sign of respect. Plus, the turtles always did it during training or talking with Splinter, so you sort of picked up on it.
Dating Raphael had to be the best decision you’ve made so far. His life…was widely interesting. He had three amazing brothers, all of which work together and are a strong team. He also has an extremely wise father and sensei, who only wants what’s best for his sons.
As for the relationships you’ve built with Raph’s brothers, you find Donnie to be your closest friend out of the three. Donatello and Raphael are beautiful counterparts of each other. Donnie’s sarcasm is very complex and advanced, while Raph’s is just plain crude. But, they both bond over this sarcasm and even bounce off of each other at times. Raphael’s favorite brother was always Donatello.
Let’s not undermine the fact that Donatello understands Raphael completely. He’s your go-to. If you aren’t sure what kind of date you should set up with him, ask Donnie! He’ll gladly help you plan a date with his brother. A happy Raph is a good Raph in that household. Donatello is a great turtle to go to when you need advice. You know, a relationship is rocky, there are ups and downs, and there are exciting times and boring times. But, that’s the beauty of a relationship, that you can get through it all with the same person- er, turtle.
---
“It sounds to me that he just needs some time to take in what you said, Y/n.” Donnie says, face coming up from being buried in his computer monitor. Raphael and Leonardo had gotten into a petty argument again. If you remembered correctly, it was something about beating down the PDs or letting them go. Leonardo chose to let them go, and it resulted in a fight between the two brothers.
Raphael did what he usually does when he gets into it with Leo, he calls you. But, this wasn’t one of those petty arguments he and Leo agreed to disagree on, no, Raph was genuinely mad.
“I see where Leo comes from, if they’re not doing anything, there’s no point in poking the bear if that makes sense. Bu-”
“You an me both know tha PDs are pieces of shit.” He interrupts you, which was common if he was upset about something he was passionate about. You can’t be mad at Raph for caring about a topic.
“I know, but let me finish. I see where you come from too, Raph. You still carry the world, it won’t change. But, I think the point of Leo having you all walk away was to show that at some point in your lives, you won’t be able to stop the PDs. If they aren’t bothering anyone, there’s no point.”
Raphael doesn’t say anything, but he sighs on the other line.
“You know,” You start, “As much as I would love to beat the shit out of the PD’s, they’ll just get back on their feet and move on.”
Raph stares at the ceiling, you’re right. Maybe he shouldn’t have been mad at Leo and gotten into an argument about it. It’s not like they constantly argue, it’s just little things they may disagree on. But, this one was the first MAJOR argument they’ve had since Winter’s Corp and the Stone Generals situation.
Raph’s trying. He’s trying not to erupt on you about the situation and your opinion. He can’t get mad at you, he knows this. You’re simply there to listen and give your feelings; you are not obligated to agree with him simply because he’s your boyfriend. He understands that sometimes, you both may disagree on something, but that doesn’t mean it should result in a fight. He’s better than that. He wouldn’t have fallen for you if he thought you would’ve brought drama into his life.
So, to prevent him from saying anything you may take the wrong way, he tells you he’s gotta go, and that he loves you before hanging up.
~
Thus, this is where you seeing Donnie comes into play.
“I see he’s trying. He’s trying to be a good guy for you. If he hurt you once, he absolutely does not want to do it again.” The brown-eyed turtle stops typing on his keyboard, and his attention is all on you. Donatello wants his words to get through, and to be a good wingman for Raph when Casey can’t. Truth be told, Donnie feels a little bad for thinking Raphael did nothing during Leo’s absence, so he’s trying to make up for it. In contrast, Raphael feels bad for giving Donnie a hard time as well, so he’s trying to make up for that. They talk more, spend more time together, bond over more common interests, and are a pretty good duo.
So, it’s only right that he helps you with Raph.
Now, don’t get the wrong idea, Donatello is not having feelings for you. He absolutely does not want Raph to think this at all, so he changed little things. He keeps the door open in his lab when you’re in there and he limits the hugs to just greetings and goodbyes (lord someone teach Mikey this before Raph blows a fuse,) he would hate it if Raph got the wrong idea.
“He’s most likely thinking about apologizing to Leo as we speak.” You and Donnie stop talking, and it’s silent throughout the lab, except for the rhythmic beeping from his monitor, and the footsteps of Leonardo approaching the lab door and passing through, his seemingly stressed form trudging its way to the dojo. You wondered how that would go since Raph was also in there. You’d usually spend your time watching him work out or (attempting) to work out with him. But, you knew a lot was looming on his mind, and he locked himself in, so. You really couldn’t get in there.
That is until Leo tries to open the sliding doors, only for them to be jammed.
“You’re kidding. Raph!” Like watching a sibling trying to get in the bathroom while the other is wasting all the hot water, you faintly hear loud knocking on the dojo doors.
A few moments of loud knocking later, you hear the dojo doors slide open with great force.
“Yeah?” You hear Raph’s voice, it’s hard to hear, but you can make out what the two brothers are saying.
“It’s my meditation time.”
“Ya got a room fa that upstairs.” Raph retorts, smirking and pointing up at Leo’s bedroom.
The leader in blue deadpans at his brother, “But I want the dojo,”
“No.” Leonardo sighs. Raphael could push his buttons without even trying, huh? To avoid the possibility of a petty argument over the dojo, Leonardo turns to leave, until Raph chuckles.
“I’m messin’ Fearless. It’s all yours. I ain’t good at sayin’ sorry ta ya…ya know that. So…I’m at fault. Fa not hearin ya out the other night. Whether we here or not, the PDs will continue to terrorize this city.” Overhearing that coming from Raph makes your heart flutter.
Now, Raph listens. He’s a listener when he wants to be. He took what you said to heart, and came to the conclusion that you were right.
“Terrorize is an understatement little brother, but when they do, we’ll be there to stop them. Promise.” With that, Raphael looks at his older brother and smirks as they fist-bump each other. Raphael does not and will not hold a grudge against his brother after the one due to his absence. He let this anger about his brother leaving to train and then staying longer than he intended to seep in and fester. Grow into a despise of his own brother, and that’s what led to the fight on the rooftop.
—-
He doesn’t want that to happen again. After all, family is everything to Raph. It’s why he’s so protective over his younger brothers because they’re everything to him. They mean everything to him. As for Leo, though Raph may not admit it, he looks up to him in a way. He sees him as this level-headed entity who tries his best, and he sees that. Raph sees it now, as he had this realization after that fight. Leo’s trying, for himself, and for the family. And if Leo could put his heart and soul into trying to become a better version of himself for the sake of the team, Raphael can appreciate his efforts and try to see where he’s coming from. He may not understand it at first, but right now, he does.
To jump back to the previous point, you mean a lot to him as well. That’s why he stops himself from letting that inner anger take control and chooses to leave or change the direction of the conversation.
Raphael was happy. Happy that you were with him, but even happier that you liked his brothers. Like it was mentioned earlier, dear readers: Family means everything to him. If you didn’t get along with his family, he’d have to let you go. It sounds crazy, but family comes first- even if it means having to leave you. It’s something he never had to think about with you or Sabrina because you both were just drawn to his brothers. It may also be because Raphael seems to attract level-headed women, while someone like Mikey may get women who might take advantage of his kindness. Not to say Mikey doesn’t know his worth, but Raph isn’t so gullible. He knows how shit works. He knows how to play the game if there is one.
So, he loved that you got along with all of his brothers so well, especially Donnie. Raphael knew that Donatello needed someone to listen to him and to be interested in what he was saying, so he appreciated that you became that person for his little brother.
“I’m gonna go say hi to Donnie,” You say as you walk toward the lab, you can hear Raph’s footsteps follow behind.
Once you get to the lab, Donnie’s lips curl into a smile at the sight of you- his closest human friend. He gives you a nice greeting that you reciprocate, as you both talk for a few minutes. Once it goes silent between the two of you for a moment, Raphael clears his throat.
“Hope ya don’t mind Don but I’m takin’ my girl away from ya,” Raph says, thinking about what he’s gonna do with you when he gets upstairs.
“Nope, she’s all yours! We can talk more later, Y/n.” Donnie says as he goes to his table of inventions and things that require repairs. He eyes the microwave and scowls. Yes, Leo broke it if you were wondering. As if Leo couldn’t break anything but the toaster, he goes and breaks the fucking microwave. Donatello isn’t even sure how he broke it in the first place. Like, how do you manage to break a microwave, Leo?
Anyway, you give him a smile and wave as Raphael leads you out of his younger brother's lab and up the stairs, all the way to his room. You sit comfortably on the edge of Raph’s bed, the dim light seeping from outside his room. Raph looks at you before winking and closing the door, light coming from the living space is now gone, and you’re left in complete darkness. You could feel him staring at you, and you think he has that sexy smirk he puts on when he wants to make out with you, and you hear him quickly making his way to the bed to stand in front of you, lifting your chin up and his lips landing on yours.
“I thought about…sumthin…well, I think…about it…all tha time,” he says in between kisses. As you moan slightly into the kiss, he places his hands around your waist and moves his lips from yours to your neck. He leaves butterfly kisses all over, not wanting to leave a mark (though he also thinks about this sometimes.) You close your eyes, basking in the pleasure of having your boyfriend kissing and loving on your skin, as you respond to his earlier statement in between breaths.
“Thinking…about what…Raph?” You can feel him getting confident in working with your body, as he lives little nips on your cricoid clavicle. It feels amazing, and you can’t help but moan slightly louder than before. You feel Raph’s lips vibrate into your neck as he shushes you sensually, before working back up to your lips.
“You. When I told ya I loved ya. The first time. I think about that a lot.” Raph says, his cheeks heating up as a result of minor embarrassment. But, as you rub up and down his biceps, he doesn’t feel so embarrassed after your response.
“Wait, you think about that? Truly?” You ask, smiling gently. You know Raph probably can’t see your face, so you let your tone show Raph that you love what he just confessed to doing.
“Yeah…I do. I don’ know why, but it stays in my head all tha time.”
“It’s a core memory, that’s why Raph.” You say, kneeling on his bed so that you’re slightly taller than him and feeling around in front of you for his forehead, kissing it gently when you do. Raph was a sucker for forehead kisses. His strong hands find their way to your waist and latch onto you like he loved to do, and you go back to your original position on the bed. This is short-lived, as Raph gently picks you up and puts you in the middle of his bed, going on top of you and smashing his lips into yours.
“I know I can’t see ya right now, but you’re gorgeous, princess.” Raphael’s deep voice compliments, sending shivers down your whole body. His fingers find their way into your hair, and your fingers twirl with the ends of his mask. Raphael always liked your hair.
A core memory, huh?
Well, his first “I love you” ever wasn’t something he would forget. Not now, not ever.
Raphael was in love with you. He knew that’s what it was because he looked it up. Not only that, but he asked Splinter about it to confirm it was love and not early signs of a heart attack according to Google. Now, you’ve told each other you loved each other already, but we’re focused on the very first time. Because Raphael continues to play it every time in his head before he goes to sleep now.
—-
“Kneel, my son.” Master Splinter says to his second oldest son. He’s sitting in the dojo after just meditating, surrounded by a soft ambiance and candlelight. Raphael’s nervous body language didn’t go unnoticed by his Sensei and Father.
“First off, how are you, my son?” Master Splinter uses a different tactic when it comes to speaking to Raphael. He knows that Raphael needs someone to listen to him fully, without judging. So Master Splinter asks how he’s doing to establish a comforting space for him to talk, to where Splinter is talking to him as his amazing son, not his student or a troubled young adult.
“Good…I’m good. It’s just…Y/n.” Raphael seems to talk steadily, almost unsure of what he’s feeling.
“Is there trouble in paradise, my son? You are always welcome to discuss your and Y/n’s conflicts with me, I will not look at you both any differently.” The short rat states, stroking his fuzzy beard. But, Raphael shakes his head in response.
“No, ain’t no trouble. Bein’ wit ha…it’s nuthin but paradise. It’s just…I think I love her.” Splinter’s ears perk up, excited to hear that one of his sons is starting to experience an emotion that was thought to be exclusive to only two humans.
“Well, what is the problem with that Raphael?” He asks. Raphael thinks for a moment, then sighs.
“I- I don’t know how to tell ha that. Or if it’s love. It can’t be, right? Is that too much? What if she don’t feel tha same? What if it’s too early fa that? What if I mess up tellin-.” Raphael spits his thoughts out sporadically, unsure of the answers to all of his “what-ifs.”
But, when Splinter gets up from in front of Raphael and puts a supportive paw on his shoulder, he stops rambling and breathes in deeply.
“Listen, my son. Miss Y/n is someone who has shown time and time again she cares for you. She cares for your feelings, if she did not care, she would not have taken you back after your leave of absence from her life.”
Splinter walls around the dojo and goes into a drawer, opening up a small box of lavender incense sticks, and picks one out. Placing it on a nearby unscented candle, it catches the flame and is engulfed onto the end of the stick. After a few seconds, he gently waved it around for the flame to die, watching as the smoke emerged from the end and bringing the scents of the purple flower as well as mint to life in the dojo.
Raphael looks at his Sensei, then at his fingers resting on his thighs, as he balls his hands into a fist, taking in what his father is telling him. He’s right, he always is. He’s right about Y/n, Splinter can see through people for God’s sake.
“It is love, Raphael. If you are thinking this much about it, there is no doubt in my mind it is love. It is only right that it is, you have developed feelings that get stronger the longer you are with her.” Raphael smiles, thank God it’s not early warning signs of a heart attack. Not only that, but now he knows his mind and heart are in sync with each other, and he loves Y/n. He loves her.
“If you overthink like this before you tell her, you will never get the chance to. It’ll come to you, at the moment. Do not think about it, it will come naturally. And who knows, you might be surprised by what she says.”
~
As days went on, Raphael was fighting with himself to tell you and to also find the right time to. He was beginning to think there wouldn’t be a right time. But…it was supposed to come naturally. He seemed to forget that part Splinter told him because Raph is a natural overthinker in some situations.
How would you react to his confession?
Well, unbeknownst to Raphael, he was about to find out.
And better yet, it came just like Splinter said it would: naturally.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Raphael’s nerves were going slightly wild, as he cuddled you on your couch. This was your 4th official date, and both decided to stay indoors enjoying each other’s company. He didn’t reveal what he had made for you, not yet. He was waiting. Waiting for what you may ask? He wasn’t sure.
“Raph, did you wanna spend the night? I would love to continue this on the bed,” You say as you turn and face your boyfriend, pecking him on the lips before you stretch. Raphael follows suit until he remembers he still had something to do before he heads to bed.
There wasn’t going to be a “perfect” time to give you this, so he decided to just go for it.
“Hey I…have sumthin’ for ya, Y/n.” He says. You walk to shut off the TV, maneuvering around Stella so you wouldn’t wake her. Raphael takes this time to get out his “something” for you, and he hopes it’s as good an idea as Donnie said it was.
“Really? You know you don’t have to get me anything, being with you is enou-“ You stop mid-sentence and look at what Raph’s holding.
It’s…so cute.
It mimics the features of a Chinese braided bracelet- one that signifies good luck and fortune. This one, however, has a white “R” etched into the thickest part of the bracelet, which after you put it on, sits on your wrist. It’s simple, yet you couldn’t help but smile your biggest smile at your boyfriend. Raphael looks at you and smiles sheepishly back at you.
“I thought I should make ya sumthin…that reminds you of me when you’re away, is it too much? Don said it wasn’t but then again he’s single and hasn’t-“You stop Raphael from rambling with a hard kiss on his lips. He kisses back with an equal amount of force and passion as well.
 “Raph, you took the time to make something for me. I don’t care what your doubts are about It. I love it so-”
“I love you too.” It may have been that Raphael was over the moon with your reaction and that you didn’t finish your sentence and he jumped the gun, but he told you that he loved you.
Too.
It takes you aback, because Raphael had said it as if it’s been on his mind for a while, and it sounds like he’s lifting a big weight off his shoulders. He doesn’t register that you didn’t say you loved him until after. That’s when he panics a little. Now, Raphael wears his emotions on his sleeve, and you immediately see the panic in his eyes. He didn’t mean to tell you he loved you like that. He wanted it to be mutual, and for it to go smoothly.
“Wait, wait, it’s okay! I…I love you too, Raphael.” You say, squeezing his bicep before he gets any more nervous or overthinks the situation. You loved Raph, you really, really did.
So, you look up at him and give him a loving kiss on his cheek. “I love you. I mean that.”
Raphael’s golden eyes seem to light up with a new admiration for you. After all this time, from the first meet to the time you spent together, to the time he completely left you out to dry, to now…you loved him. There was nothing that doubted him at that moment. You said it once more to put him at ease, that you didn’t just say it the first time back because he said it. No, you truly loved him. It’s rare for him, or any of his brothers, to find love. He was hoping there would be women like you somewhere in New York that accepted his brothers as you did him.
Now, it was very rare for Raph to widely smile- much like Mikey. He would usually smirk, or give a normal smile. But right now, he had the biggest smile on his face.
You were the cause of this. Of this sudden euphoria.
******OKAY Y'ALL if you don’t like mentions of rated r activity feel free to skip this part*******
So, it’s no surprise that Raph picked you up and walked to your bedroom, lightly placing you on the bed. He goes to dive in for a kiss, but you decide that it’s time for you to take some control. So, you sit up, and motion for Raph to take your spot on the bed.
He watches you in awe as you straddle his waist, enjoying the show you're giving him on top. You decide to take off the top that you’re wearing, only leaving you in your bra and shorts. Raphael notices every mark you may or may not have, and he loves it. He sees how you chose to wear a red laced bra tonight, almost teasing and enticing him to take it off of you. Give him some time to get comfortable and navigate your body, and it’ll surely happen in a few moments. With the new exposed skin, Raph smirks as his hands find their way to rub up and down your sides, loving how smooth your skin was, and how warm it felt.
“Ya know…yer so…fuckin…sexy,” Raph whispers in between kisses. He loves the sight of you. It’s like a drug he’s rapidly becoming addicted to. As you gave him access to your neck and collarbones, he was ready to paint you and make you a work of art with his signature all over it. Because good God, he was so ready to suck your supple skin. To taste how sweet your skin was, and when it was getting heated, the slightly salty taste it had from light sweat.
You were his, undeniably his, and you were loving every second of this moment. That you allowed him to leave those marks on your neck, as he searched for a spot that would have you-
“Raph, ah~” Bingo. He was understanding how your body worked, what places to kiss or nibble that made you crumble on top of him, and others that made you giggle from it being ticklish.
He just made you moan, and it seemed to have boosted his ego because he was going in with more confidence, and more drive to get you to do it again. Your voice sounded so perfect, he wanted you to sing like that for him again; louder.
“I love tha way ya sound, do it again fa me, princess,” He says, sitting upright and latching his lips onto your chest. He doesn’t want to take you apart just yet, and he begins to leave small love bites right on top of your breasts until he gets to one spot where you make that sound once again, that wonderful moan that signifies he’s doing the right thing. That he’s allowing you to become vulnerable and exposed on top of him.
“Is this okay?” You asked, fiddling with your bra strap. Raphael gives you the same sexy smirk he gave you the first time he kissed you, and it seals the deal.
“More than okay. I want ya, princess.” He says as his fingers dance over your bra straps, which slowly make their way to the hook-and-eye closure on your bra, getting slightly irritated when he can’t unclip it with his larger hands. You giggle softly, and help him out, giving him a smile when you feel the support on your breasts falter, and the only way the bra is being held up is because of Raph’s hands.
Once it’s fully off, Raphael can’t help but feel. They’re soft. They’re so soft. How they jiggled when his hands fiddled with them, and how the small buds became harder and more sensitive due to the fresh cool air and the sexual activity being initiated. He looks up at you with amber eyes full of lust as he begins to dive in and suck in places that send you into a downward spiral of newly sprouted orgasm craving, and a longing for your boyfriend in such a sickeningly sexy sinful manner.
It’s amazing that Raphael can make you feel this way. It’s something that’s unmatched.
So, when you both get comfortable enough to where all the clothing is off you, and he’s looming on top, ready to pop his own virginity cherry, you can’t help but kiss him with pure love right before he slides it in. As he’s in his most vulnerable state on top of you, blushing madly from all the friction and this erection that can’t seem to go away, longing for your soft walls to welcome it home where it belongs, you kiss him again. To let him know that you want this as much as he did.
And holy mother of mutagen, he wanted this bad with you. Because honestly, he couldn’t be more in love with you.

Donnie couldn’t understand how it had happened.  They had all been doing so well — so it seemed, at least — but then… god, he just saw so much blood.  Leo had been trying to cover it, hand over his chest, hunched over, but still smiling wide with his head cocked back.  “It’s gonna take more than that to take me out, muchacho,” he had taunted before violently swinging a katana in front of him with his free hand, ending the villain that had harmed him once and for all.
But then he fell.
He fell so hard it sounded like thunder in Donnie’s ears; the room felt so harshly bright as the crack, boom! of the fall echoed in his head.  Raph and Mikey kept fighting, Raph with that slightly upturned grin he wore when he knew his fight was almost over.
But Donnie’s world had completely stopped spinning.  Rotation of planet Earth had come to an abrupt stop, and he could feel everything in the room moving hundreds of thousands of miles an hour.  Everything was hissing and screaming as it flung itself into chaos — everything but himself and Leo, who still managed a smile.
Donnie scrambled towards his brother, hands sliding against the ground as he stumbled across the destroyed room.  His gait was low to the floor and panicked, hardly able to get upright as he approached Leo; he fell onto his knees and looked at the horrifying wound in his chest.
“I can fix this, I can fix this.”
His breathing labored, Leo insisted, “Donnie, please, it’s alright —“
“No!” Donnie’s voice was a desperate screech.  The smell of iron was overwhelming.  He could hear Mikey laugh in the background as the sounds of battle raged on.  They were doing well, seemingly not just winning their fights, but enjoying them.  They had no idea.  How could they not realize?
He pushed his hands against the gaping wound in Leo’s chest, covering himself in blood as he attempted to add pressure.  Why couldn’t he remember any first aid now?  All the times Leo had tried to teach him, the times that he listened, that he learned, that he practiced and practiced and practiced and succeeded, where was that knowledge now?  His mind felt foggy; he desperately searched for information he knew was stored somewhere in his brain, but as he ran through his mind all he could find was fog.
Donnie managed eye contact with Raph for a quick moment as he looked towards where Leo and Donnie had been fighting just a moment before.  Raph saw the terror and panic on Donnie’s face before seeing Leo, clearly maimed, lying on the ground.  His grin fell, and the whites of his eyes dominated his face.  Frozen in place, he stared at Donnie, who slowly shook his head.  Large tears formed in Donnie’s eyes and fell down his cheeks.
Raph took a hard punch to the jaw, violently ripping him from his frozen stupor.  Newfound rage would aid him now as he howled a battle cry, his blows becoming harder and faster.
With what little strength he had, Leo firmly grabbed Donnie’s wrist and smiled slightly at him.  “It’s okay.  I’m okay with this.”
“I’m not okay with this!” Donnie cried.  Leo’s grin faltered as Donnie continued, “I know you don’t care if something happens to you, but I do!”  His tears were falling onto the front of Leo’s shell, where they slid slowly down to the floor and joined the blood that had pooled beside him.  “I can’t… don’t make us go home without you. Please.”
There was no smile on his face as he looked his brother in the eyes and responded, “I’m sorry.  We both know…" A pained hiss interrupted his sentence, "it’s too late.  You have to go.”
“No, Leo, I can fix this, you just have to let me… I’ll… I can…”
His voice became serious, a pleading resonance hidden behind an authoritative tone, “Donnie.  You have to go home, and you have to promise me you'll learn to be okay after this.”  His hand moved away from Donnie’s wrist and up to his face, and he found his smile again.  “I’ll see you again, hermano. Tell Raph and Mikey I love ‘em.”
Donnie continued to scream, but his pleads were met with silence.

Avaria Voice Lines: Part 3
This time we'll be getting to know more about her here. Hope you've been enjoying these so far!
(Avaria Intro) (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 4)
~ ~ ~ ~
• Something to Share: My weapon? It's um, custom-made. It's able to change between a katana and a bow of my choice, but it took a really long time for the blacksmith my parents found to get it right. I . . . thought it would be more efficient to have two weapons in one instead of carrying both around. And, um, I thought it would be kinda cool.
• Interesting Things: Glaze lilies are hard to find out in the wild, so finding one just feels special. I wouldn't have known they existed if it weren't for my teacher.
• More About Avaria I: You wanna know about me? You mean about how I fight. No? Something else? Um. . . . I uh, don't really know where to start. I'm . . . used to people asking me about how I fight and my Vision, so this is kinda new for me.
• More About Avaria II: I really like Liyue. It's completely different from Mondstadt—from the buildings to the people and everything in between. I can start fresh and make something of myself the way I want to. Not the way others want to.
• More About Avaria III: Sometimes I don't really know what to do with myself. Not because I'm bored. I mean . . . like I don't know what to do with what I can do. How do I use my gift to its fullest? And what's the right way for me to do that? But I think I'm getting there, though. I guess. . . . Yeah. I am.
• More About Avaria IV: Back when I still lived in Mondstadt, my parents were really tough with my training. It was a little easier when I was a kid, but once I was able to undertake more vigorous training, it was the only kind of training I was given. All of my teachers were the best ones my parents could find, but a lot of them were pretty harsh. They wanted me to be perfect. I was a prodigy with my Vision and in mastering a sword and bow, so perfection was the only result I was allowed to make. It's . . . still stuck with me even now.
• More About Avaria V: I think . . . I've learned a lot since I've come to Liyue, and I'm still learning. I've learned what my full potential really is, and I've discovered parts of myself I didn't know I had. And . . . I'm learning that it's okay for me to not be perfect. I think.
I've also made some friends, too—like Chongyun, Xingqiu, and you. I even made friends with someone I never thought I'd be friends with, but . . . I guess he's starting to feel closer than that. . . . What? Who's that? Um, I uh, h-he's . . . a busy guy. And um, he travels. A-a lot. Yeah. Really really busy, heh heh.
• Avaria's Hobbies: I've never been allowed to have the time for any, but I guess it's probably reading. And I guess letter writing if that counts.
• Avaria's Troubles: People always told me how much control I had with my Vision or how well I could use my katana and bow. It just feels so empty and dry now because that's all people saw of me. I hate it.
• Favorite Food: Hmm. I guess it's a tie between Barbatos Ratatouille and that Crab, Ham, and Veggie Bake. I haven't learned to make either of them, but I know what's in them. I do remember that my mother used to make them for me after a long day. It was . . . nice.
• Least Favorite Food: I uh, never really thought about it. I guess whatever looks like mush and inedible? That probably doesn't help, does it?

Ouma Great War Chronicles - Episode 10: It’s About Time You Stood Up
Narrator:  Around the time that Genzuki was learning about the religious organization, Star of Kiou, from the God of Music, Nagao was subduing demons in the city outskirts.
sfx:  sounds of fighting; demon collapsing
Nagao:  Alright, that’s one down. (It’s been quite a while since then, but as usual, no more Cases of Demon Madness have happened. That said, the maddened demons still haven’t been eliminated yet.) (Rather than just completing missions, patrolling on the regular might be a good idea.) Well then. I’ll walk around a bit longer and take a look.
sfx:  more fighting
Nagao:  Ha, didn’t think it would come from that side… Asked and received. I’ll take you down in a moment!
sfx:  slashing
Nagao:  Alright! A perfect hit –
sfx:  roar
Nagao:  What!? This one… even though it’s smaller than the other just now, it’s a level higher… Damn, this time I need to be faster…!
sfx:  slash; roar
Nagao:  Tch, no good huh… (If Haru and Toujirou were here, we’d set a trap or take other measures, but… I’m the only one here. What should I do when I’m overwhelmed in speed?)
sfx:  roar
Nagao:  Wh- oi! I’m still in the middle of hammering out a plan here!
sfx:  impact; thud
Nagao:  That HURTS! Is that speed even possible with that weight!? (I took a passive stance, so it’s not a serious injury, but… At this rate, things are going to get really bad.)
sfx:  roar
Nagao:  (But I have to do this somehow ─!)
sfx:  footsteps; slash; roar
Nagao:  Wha–!
??? :  How long are you planning to sit there? This is a battleground, it’s about time you stood up.
Nagao:  Ah, you – !
??? :  Leave the chit-chat for later. Right now we need to defeat this guy. If we close in from two sides, well, it’ll work out one way or another. I’ll circle around from behind. Can I leave the front to you?
Nagao:  Yeah!
??? :  Good. Then, we’ll watch for the right timing and charge in at full speed.
Nagao:  Understood.
sfx:  roar
??? :  Now!
Nagao:  (While that person moves around to the back, I need to draw the demon’s attention!)
??? :  …
Nagao:  (I know. If we’re going attack this guy… it’s now!) Haah!
??? :  Horaah!
sfx:  slash; roar; collapse
Nagao:  Hah, hah…
??? :  Oi, you okay?
Nagao:  Yeah, thanks. Your help really saved me, Masamune-san.
Saionji Masamune:  Long time no see, Kei.
Nagao:  Yeah! But that aside, what brings you to a place like this?
Masamune:  Not long ago, I started an exorcism organization, and from there I received a request for slaying demons.
Nagao:  I see. Just as before, you haven’t lost your edge at all. With this challenging demon for an opponent, you still easily landed your attacks.
Masamune:  Flattery won’t lead anywhere, you know? Besides, I was surprised by how much you’ve grown… You’ve gotten strong, huh.
Nagao:  Heheh, you think? But as I thought, I can’t match your slashing strike.
sfx:  stomach rumbling
Nagao:  Ah…
Masamune:  Haha, didn’t get to eat? How’s this, since we chanced to meet this time, let’s at least have a meal.
Nagao:  Yeah, I’d like that! I want to talk and catch up with you at leisure too!
Masamune:  It’s decided then. Let’s go.
Nagao:  (Huh? Masamune-san’s katana… Is this the first time I’ve seen it?) Masamune-san, have you always been using that katana? Before, you were using a different one that you liked, right?
Masamune:  Ah, this. I got a new one recently. It’s easy to use, so it's good enough.
Nagao:  Heh…
Masamune:  Hey, are we going?
Nagao:  Ah, yeah! Let’s go!
scene change:  a city sidewalk
Nagao:  Hah – ! The ramen here is delicious as ever!
Masamune:  A long time ago, when I’d eat out with you, this was the place, huh. I remember Haru and Toujirou got curious and came to eat too.
Narrator:  Saionji Masamune, born into a family that was once famous for producing a great number of skilled exorcists, taught Nagao, Kaida, and Genzuki swordsmanship and martial arts long ago. With Nagao in particular, because of the interactions between their fellow households that both produced exorcists, they were spending time together even in childhood.
Nagao:  (Here we haven’t met for quite a while, but… Masamune-san hasn’t changed at all.)
Masamune:  Are Haru and Toujirou doing well?
Nagao:  For now it’s the usual grind, I guess. If I tell them I ran into you, they’ll definitely get jealous.
Masamune:  Is this even something to get jealous over?
Nagao:  Masamune-san is our master, after all. Right now we’re all tired out from dealing with various nuisances. Meeting up with you would surely lift their spirits.
Masamune:  Nuisances?
Nagao:  Ahh, there’s kind of a lot going on in the imperial capital…
Masamune:  … hehh?
Nagao:  Well, we finally got to meet for once. Talking dark things wouldn’t be any fun. Haru and Toujirou, and that battle earlier, there’s so much I want to tell you about. Of course, you’re going to listen to all of it, right?
Masamune:  Yes yes, can’t be helped.
scene change:  nighttime, city street on screen:  glowing chest
??? :  If I do it like this, there should be no problem… With this, the imperial capital will once again fall into a crucible of turmoil. I look forward to his reaction when he sees that scenery… Hahahahaha…
==========
Notes
A clarification about character names! In this series, names are always displayed in full, but this makes them really long. The narrator refers to everyone by surname, and that is what I usually use when shortening names. However, Kaida has been calling Tsubaki Hinata by his given name, and likewise with Nagao and Saionji Masamune. I used their given names purely because it seemed easier for readers to follow. If this causes issues with later translations, I will cross that bridge when I get there.

Art&concept by Ol Albireo Feel free to write your stories and name arts. You also can do not only write, but draw, sing, create music and sculptures, translate into other languages you learn for practicing (and never simplify text when you translate it!). Show us that you did.
"You were underestimated by everyone" "Well, to be fair, I did everything for that," Ladzoy smiled. "But what wasn't enough fro you? What did you get in the new world that you couldn't get under Kan?" "The whole world" Sherd looked at the man perplexedly. "Be specific, without generalities" "There's nothing more specific. We're building a safe world. A world that is home. A world where we don't have to fear a knife in the back or a stab from around the corner. No need to know rituals and intrigue. I could go to any part of Kan-Dziru, to any planet of it, and feel at home there. That's what I've always dreamed of. I was suffocated by your musty cages you called palaces and thrones. "But you could be Kan's lover, and just as safe…" Ladzoy laughed intoxicatingly and contemptuously. "Safe? You don't know what safe means. I wanted to walk in a crowd without fearing that every person I met would stick a knife in me instead of saying hello, and without thinking that every smile was fake. You're beggars, you're all sitting in your cages, afraid to come out. Because you deserve to be torn apart for your filthiness. You're all still alive because Katana won't let the mob retaliate. Your magic and your guards wouldn't help you. If you were in trouble, if you were to fall into the abyss, who would lend a hand to any of you? I don't like squalor, Sherd. I've spent my life trying to avoid being pathetic. And that's the only feeling you evoke." "It's amazing. Such a shrewd, smart guy, and you believe in such naivety. Okay, well, do you at least have some sort of plan in case of… disappointment?" Ladzoy grinned. "Of course, Sherd, I can always work any of you, wretches, you know that," the man said wryly.
I'm here, AlbireoMKG.

Guess I am liveblogging watching the BBC Sherlock. I can't help myself apparently. Starts after the cut, (I finally figured out how those work!)
Mild spoilers ahead!!!!!
Okay so I just started episode 2. First things first, girl, you could just tell him "No" instead of being all cryptic like "You wouldn't like me" and "I can't. Please stop asking" when he's asking you on a date.
Is... is that a katana being wielded by that person??? It doesn't even look well-cared for?
Roommate: "I can see Herlock trying to hide he's been attacked like that." Yeah, probably. He'd kick a katana underneath his chair. Unfortunately, his "Watson" would notice.
Okay I hate that people keep calling Sherlock a freak and every time I expect Watson to deck a guy. Come on, defend your colleague if you're not willing to call him your friend. Also, seeing this episode when I work as a security guard is kind of killing me. I... this security setup is not that good at all, even back in 2010 and this is supposed to be an expensive ass bank??? Yeahhh, kinda doesn't do it for me. That should be live video footage, not a single frame every minute. Also don't keep access to the door entry logs behind the reception counter.
Part of the only way I'm getting through this is by noting what behaviors of Sherlock match those of Herlock Sholmes from The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and which are more faithful to the original source material as well. Do I need to start keeping a running counter of "Herlock Sholmes would totally do this"? Because if so, we're at three in this episode alone.
Sir??? The medical examiner should be the only one removing evidence from the interior of the body??? Sherlock please, forensics student here is dying. Also detail I noticed, no powder burn on the wound. Either the makeup team was lazy or this is plot important.
Watson is still my favorite character. He also mentioned stuff about traders and stuff which is accurate to the books. And ohhh, Sherlock is pissed. Shaky cam in this feels a bit excessive-- oh you look like Kane Bullard. Yeah you're dead. Does every journalist leave library books on their flat stairs or...?
Modern code-breaking methods won't unravel what? Poor Watson getting held up for vandalizing a public building because he didn't run fast enough. Feels like Herlock and Ryūnosuke lol.
Oh come on, this guy seems sweet. Don't blame him for his crush resigning. Unless he's the killer of course... oh there's a lady taking pictures of Watson? That's worrying. WAIT IS THE DETECTIVE INSPECTOR JUST HANDING OVER EVIDENCE TO A RANDOM CIVILIAN??? CHAIN OF EVIDENCE, I HARDLY KNOW HER!
Watson actually helping Sherlock with his deductions by pointing out something the detective didn't notice and in an almost book-accurate way.
Is Watson about to be poisoned I s2g this man needs a break. It's only the second episode. Oh adding another to the "Sherlock doing a Herlock move" counter. Yippee... also this episode is starting to feel kind of racist. Actually more than that.
Sherlock please go let Watson in-- never mind you uh.... fell for a trap. I don't like how independent this Sherlock is when he's got John right there. Why doesn't the doctor realize that Sherlock was choked and strangled half to unconsciousness??? Unrealistic af.
Kinda like this graffiti artist dude. Hope he comes back. He probably won't. WAIT WHY ARE YOU SPLITTING THE PARTY??? GODDAMMIT YOU TWO! WATSON YOU'RE BETTER THAN THIS!
John shouldn't be staring at the ground like that. He should be scanning side to side and up and down constantly. At least he was smart enough to take a photo of the damn thingimajig. John is so relatable on the matter of sleep, at least.
This woman is so dedicated to her work of restoring these ancient relics that she keeps breaking into the museum to care for and restore them. Also I just learned where the Morag Tong from the Elder Scrolls get their name from. Makes sense now. Buuuuut this also feels really awkward and weird and not in the fun way.
I think we all know Watson has the real brain cell here-- wait no he just left the target alone to go help Sherlock never mind. I think she's going to die. She deserved better. Welp, this is gonna haunt John.
Scotland Yard being incompetent, check. Sherlock being an uneccesary ass to Molly, check. Why is he written like this I hate it. WAIT THOSE TATTOOS WOULD HAVE BEEN NOTED ON THE AUTOPSY REPORT WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS WRITING???? MY FORENSICS STUDENT ASS IS GOING HAYWIRE
Quest search using internet explorer. Gods this is old. No wonder last episode that "MePhone" app took so long to load. Watson update your browser to Firefox. Also Mrs. Hudson appearance! We don't know much about her in the original books but BBC her seems to be somewhat faithful adaptation wise, however Sherlock's behavior towards her is not. Oh and adding another to the Herlock Sholmes counter.
John passed out from exhaustion didn't he. Not a good look when you're just starting out-- oh at least you apologized for it-- he's flirting. Okay John you go and get yourself a girlfriend. Hope this relationship lasts (it probably won't). Looks like Sherlock is interfering with the date... goddammit. Oh fuck the second hand embarrassment is killing me.
The yellow filter is ass. Stop this. Also is that a goddamn crossbow. It is. Sarah is also... a character. I guess. Very dull and uninteresting, clearly only there for John's character arc. Is this how most — if not all — of the women are going to be?
John you're in a room with a killer that has seen your face. There is no way this ends well. Also expecting Sherlock to get a gun to his head or something. Never mind he almost gets a sword to the face. WATSON YOU'RE A BETTER FIGHTER THAN THIS-- Oh Sarah is a badass. Okay, I guess she has a bit of a character.
Sherlock you need to eat. Also please stop being an ass to Sarah she's trying to help-- in fact she's actually helping!!!
Nice callback to the first episode, Sherlock knows German! Also this is canon to the books! He knows a ton of European languages as does Watson! Although Watson's Italian is canonically worse than Holmes'.
Thats not Holmes knocking at the door. Aaaand Watson is down. Watson abducted? Is Sarah a double agent? Sherlock is going to go apeshit. Never mind Sarah isn't. This relationship isn't going to last-- creepy camera lady just called Watson "Holmes". Oh yeah, this relationship is not continuing. Sorry John.
Sherlock Holmes to the rescue! Kinda acting like Batman but this is also accurate to the books! Really nice touch to show off his ability to confound his enemies in combat. Also add one to three "John has killed a man to protect Sherlock" counter.
"Don't worry. Next date won't be like this." IF THERE IS A NEXT DATE???? WHAT????
Accidentally posted early at this point but I'm just editing the post.
PA Lady has the hairpin. Oh my God, she has the hairpin. It's over a thousand years old.
Oh look someone just left a cipher mark outside. Is this a goddamn Moriarty thing? Are they only here because of Moriarty? I need to make a separate rant about Moriarty at some point because the entirety of the Sherlock Holmes fandom just latched onto him when CHARLES MILVERTON WAS ALSO RIGHT THERE
Anyhow that's episode 2 done. Feels really kinda racist, John gets to do more but also is kinda not smart sometimes, and Sherlock is an ass. Oh and Moriarty cameo. Yippee... see y'all for episode 3 later. Sun signing off

Okokok here this: april, reader and casey try to prank the boys. How does it go. With who does it fails/success, what was the prank, do they get caught? Do the boys get revenge, and if so, how?
Also, splinter sees it all unfolds, does he just gets himself a snack and watch, or does he tries to subtly join in without getting caught? (We all know hes got a playful side cmon)
Bonus: they try to prank vern too, maybe the boys join in to prank him? What do they do? Does he retaliate?
Okay so I admit I let my brain go nuts on this one, so it's a little long but I was cackling the entire time I was writing it.
TMNT Headcanons
Prank Wars
Tumblr media
Leonardo
In your complete and utter defence, Leo had 100% started this
And also in your defence, you did tell him not to
Twice
But he tricked you into watching a horror movie and ended up dying your hair green
This meant war
You'd even wrapped up April and Casey into it
Their problems were your problems
Which meant that April was the one who convinced Splinter not to say anything to his sons
He was perfectly happy to oblige
Casey was just there to help set things up
And you liked the way his mind worked
The objective wasn't to go unnoticed, there would be no point in doing it and having no proof
You were doing this to prove that you could
Leo had emphasized that he couldn't be distracted
That you were to obvious and clumsy to prank him without him noticing
Challenge fucking accepted
And that's how you ended up at the kitchen table eating lunch with April and Casey when the boys were coming back from meditating with Splinter
April kept having to shove food in her mouth to hide her laughter
Casey just decided to wear sunglasses
And you kept overpowering the urge to smirk
"Hey guys, good to see you. Y/n have you seen my katanas?"
With the obstruction of water in your mouth you just nodded at him, pointing to the other room
He sauntered off, none the wiser to your victorious grin
When he came back in only a moment later his expression had done a complete 180
Leo made direct eye contact with you and you held that stare like a wolf cornered in its den
"does someone want to explain why my katanas are encased in blueberry jello?"
You raised your hand like a child in class
"hate to break it to you, but it's actually berry blue you uncultured bitch"
Tumblr media
Raphael
Ohhhh you were so undeniably dead
A whole other level of six feet under
It wasn't a surprise that April and Casey had backed out on this one
It also wasn't a surprise that Splinter had offered to stand up for you if things went sideways
Donnie even gave you a sheet of paper with a list of hiding spots before hand
All of this went completely unnoticed by Raph, the target of your latest scheme.
And that was fine, you had only one objective here-
Make it out alive
But it was amazing what 1 person could do with some extra cash and internet access
So that's what led you to your current position.
Cross legged on the bench, watching the large red terrapin get ready for his first set, that in itself wasn't unusual, you always watched him lift just in case you needed to run and grab someone if something went wrong
Raph was none the wiser to your plan
At least that's what you thought
Your book was in your lap and you were calmly scanning your pages, somewhat comprehending the words but keeping a very close eye on the turtle across from you
"Hey y/n?"
You peeked over the edge of your book to meet his eyes
And your heart sank to your stomach
"Yeah Raph?"
He smirked at you, taking a lumbering step forward
"You ever seen that episode of the Office where Jim fills Dwight's phone with nickels so when he takes 'em out Dwight punches himself in the face?"
Shit shit shit shit shit shit-
"Uh... No, can't say that I have, why do you ask?"
That damn smile got even wider and all of your muscles tensed, you were ready to bolt
"I'm giving you a fifteen second headstart. Starting right now."
You flew to your feet and sprinted out of the weight room
"DONNIE WE GOTTA CODE RED!"
Your lungs were ready to burst by the time you made it to your decided hiding spot. Heavy footsteps went right underneath you and you held your breath, you wouldn't dare move.
You didn't come down until hours later when Splinter came and coaxed to you out of hiding
But deep down you knew you'd started something you couldn't finish.
Tumblr media
Vern Fenwick
You didn't even have to convince the guys to partake in this
You didn't even get the chance to tell them what you were planning
They were already brainstorming
None of you let a word of it slip to April, she would've shut you down faster than you could blink
A complete buzz kill
But fake blood was relatively cheap and all of Vern's flooring was tile (meaning extremely easy to clean and bleach)
Donnie had really been the mastermind behind the execution, none of you had any idea how he'd rigged the apartment plumbing
But he'd assured you it would only affect Vern's suite and no one else's so you didn't concern yourself with it further
And after the fact you had to wonder what exactly the former cameraman was planning on the date he'd been in the middle of
All you knew was that you got a very frantic call from the falcon himself yelling about blood coming out of his tap and the sink wouldn't shut off and it was everywhere and what the fuck was happening?
You all knew that Splinter thought it was hilarious, he'd never been particularly fond of Vern
But he did make his sons assist in the clean up and bleaching of the victims apartment floor
You went too and offered moral support
Vern had hit on you one too many times, so there was no way you'd feel bad about this
Tumblr media
Michaelangelo
As far as pranking went, you and Mikey were partners in crime
He always had great ideas and you always came up with the best ways to execute those ideas without getting caught
But when you separated those two chaos was guaranteed
You weren't entirely sure how you had been pitted against each other but you weren't entirely mad about it
You couldn't say the same for anyone else though, the others had been on edge all week.
Pranking Mikey was a challenge, he knew how you worked and vice versa
You'd been brainstorming with April for weeks now, maybe a new perspective would help
That's what the two of you told yourselves anyways
Much to your dismay, Mikey and Casey had been plotting against you as well, the traitor.
And perhaps even more unfortunate was the fact that both of your pranks somehow overlapped and backfired on the rest of the family
Because Mikey and Casey may have replaced the family tea set with a edible sugar replica that looked identical to the original
So that when you were asked to make tea for Splinter and Leo it would dissolve the second you poured the hot tea
But they didn't tell anyone else so Leo was left with an impromptu anxiety attack when he made his own tea before sitting down to meditate and it melted into sugary leaf water
And you and April had planned the 'cutting off your finger in the kitchen' with the knife, fake finger, and fake blood
Which in theory should've worked because Mikey was in the kitchen the most, that was his territory
However once you'd started your plan you couldn't stop it
so when you 'cut your finger off' and screamed for Mikey you didn't have time to yell "wait it's a prank!" before Donnie caught a glimpse of the scene and fainted
In your defence you didn't know the purple turtle could move that fast
And to Mikey's relief he was going to throw that cutting board out anyways
Splinter explicitly banned the two of you from pranking each other after that incident
Tumblr media
Donatello
Per your own common sense you had come to the conclusion that pranking the families resident genius was a horribly stupid idea
So for once, you'd practiced some self control and refrained from any pranks involving Donnie
Now that's not to say that the turtle vowed from aiming any pranks towards you
He had morals but messing with you walked the line separating adorable from batshit crazy
And he was all for it
April advised against it severely and even Splinter seemed to think it wasn't the best idea, but that was a lesson his son had to learn on his own
On the flip side, the second Casey heard about Donnie's plan he was all for it
So when you came over for dinner they both had to hide their excited smiles as Casey passed you your spaghetti
He knew it was your favorite
Everyone else was oblivious, which looking back on it was a very bad thing
April had her suspicions that Donnie was pulling something this evening, but she couldn't put her finger on it
That wasn't until you swirled a mouthful of noodles around your fork and shoved it into your mouth, you were starving
Here lies your predicament-
You swallowed thickly and blinked like you were in pain, your hand went to your throat and you reached for your water, ending up chugging almost the entire bottle.
Your eyes met Donnie's in a serious type of concern
"Is there hot sauce in this?"
April choked on her breadstick and quickly covered her mouth
Casey hadn't picked up on it yet
"Awh yeah- how'd you figure it out so quickly?"
You erupted in a coughing fit that sent April rushing to your side before you could tumble to the floor
"You fucking assholes! Y/N has a capsaicin allergy! Casey go start the car we need to get them to the hospital!"
On the bright side you were fine after you were rushed to the ER
But you didn't speak to Donnie or Casey for two weeks following the accident
You eventually forgave them for it and they haven't targeted you since
Sorry if it got a little dark at the end, but I felt like it was more realistic. Also that has actually happened to me but it was a nut allergy (and that's how I found out I was allergic to cashews) But I feel like the ending was a good example of how pranking someone can go horribly wrong, you should always consider the possibilities before doing something that could cause harm to a person. (Unless they really really deserve it)
I really enjoyed writing this one and I hope you guys like it as much as I do! 😁🧡👍

The Lost Temple Ch. 7
Ao3 First Previous Masterlist
The mission is done and Tim sets off to do what he promised Marinette.
Ch.7 Epilogue
It had taken all of a week for Red Robin to gather the entire Young Justice team to help the Parisian heroes with a rescue. It was the smoothest mission they had ever had.

Ladybug and Chat Noir had provided them with blueprints, so while the duo walked in the front door with a false scroll, they snuck in through several secret passages.

Red Robin would say that the closest they had come to failure was when one of the hostages borrowed Robin's katana to try and remove the arms of several monks.

It had made Tim briefly regret bringing the Gremlin since he was sure the boy had let the young women, he later learned she was Kagami, borrow his sword for revenge. Honestly he didn’t really want to stop her. The monks deserved worse. A small part of him almost wished the girl had been trying a lot harder to maim. It didn’t help that a sunny old lady in a leather jacket had decided to cheer Kagami on.

After the rescue he had told the heroes that they always had a place with them if they wanted it and Adrien took them up on that quite literally as soon he had purchased a beautiful home in Happy Harbor, Rhode Island. He didn’t move in immediately, stating that he wanted to propose to Kagami first, but once that happened the team would be able to rely on the cat and dragon joining them on missions. Robin was actually happy since it meant he would have someone to practice swordplay with.

Marinette on the other hand refused to say where she planned to go, the less people that knew the safer she believed she would be. Tim was actually saddened by this, he had enjoyed his debates with her and had hoped the could at least be friends if nothing else.

So imagine his surprise when he went into the new bakery opened up by Wayne Foods Division and saw Marinette running it. He came back when he knew she would be alone later and asked how long it would take her to make one of every pastry under the sun, at her confused look he smiled and asked her how else he was supposed to help her keep her promise to Superboy. He will forever deny that he broke down and cried when she happily tackled him with a hug.

After that she could be seen patrolling with him as La Lune. The costume was definitely inspired the most by his and Spoiler's. In fact it wasn’t long before Marinette herself was a constant fixture at Tim's side. The few times they couldn’t find her with him than she was with Adrien.

Stephanie even claims that Adrien and him once had a fight over who was Marinette’s best friend. She refused to tell who won, not even when bribed with waffles. Tim just laughed every time and refused to answer. He knew that no such fight ever happened. Adrien would always be her best friend, her perfect balance, not that ever told his family that. Tim was okay with that though, he preferred being her boyfriend anyway, not that his family knew that either.

 This was a lot of fun to write so thank everyone for coming on the adventure with me.
If you have any questions about anything feel free to ask, I am more than happy to elaborate.

K, L, and M!
Hiii!!! *flails because WOW hello greatest moodboard creator I've ever seen*
K: What's the angstiest idea you've ever come up with?
Dammn going right for it with the first question huh?
Okay, I have 3 answers for you - one is written and posted already, and 2 are only ideas in my brain as of now.
1. It's a Katana
Okay, so this is one my older works (I say old, but it's like, 5 months old ajjsjsjskabsb, but to be fair, I think I've become a better writer since than???) and I absolutely love it!! It also just got a comment on it but before answering that amazing human back I gotta reread the fic lmao 😂😂 BUT to answer this particular question, this is the angstiest idea because this features Void!Stiles, and Derek feels and some pack feels?? Ig. I don't really remember. But I remember thinking this was pretty angsty, so....
2. The prompt fic I am working on for @ilovepeachystuff. (I'm sorry Ik it's been 2 months 😭 but I WILL get around to writing this!!!) So, this fic is about Stiles and his self-worth issues, with nods to his mom's death and some other childhood stuff that's made him feel like people don't listen to him. I promise it has a happy ending tho!! Working title is Listen.
3. This is a Petopher fic idea!!! I was inspired by Blank Space by Taylor Swift. I want to write this fic for @tw-songevent but idk if I'll finish it tho. So, basically, the idea is that Peter is a playboy who meets Chris and makes Chris fall for him. BUT. In doing so he falls for Chris too, which was not in the plan. It's supposed to be very angsty, Chris falls in love first and when he finally gives into that feeling, he learns about Peter's plan. And then, when Peter is out of Chris' life (and Allison's... this is a human au where Chris just got divorced from Victoria), Peter realizes that he has fallen in love. The ending is supposed to be Chris being like, Allison needs stability, and Peter has been in both their lives enough that she sees him as a permanent fixture in her life, so the two of them remain sorta friends. But in the ending, Chris finally gives in to the idea of actually dating Peter. (I'm sorry if it sounds confusing but it's all very clear in my head! Lol)
L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?
WHY YOU GOTTA COME AT ME LIKE THIS!!!
Okay so firstly: Sorry for yelling at you 😂 and second: maybe twice? Like, when I write, I usually go back over the lines a few times before proceeding further. So that's one. Then when I go to post them to ao3, I try and read through the whole thing at once, catch any mistakes if I can. That's two. Ik it's not much, but hey, fic writing is for funnn so *shrugs* (also can someone tell my brain I write fics for fun?? It can have errors, damnit! It doesn't have to be perfect 😭)
M: Got any premises on the back burner that you'd care to share?
Ooh, ooh, ooh!! I can't share what it is, but one fic is being written for my Sterek Secret Santa Giftee and I love what I have written so far! Hmm, then, the prompt one for @ilovepeachystuff, and then another prompt, this one for @deepestbelieverstranger. She asked for Sterek leaving together after Monroe, so that's what it is. I'll share a few lines from it!
Stiles shakes his head, winces when the action pulls at his neck; Monroe had her men throw him and Lydia in a too tight cell, the only point of comfort the steady presence of Lydia beside him, and the ever dimming hope of a rescue from Scott and the others.
Derek comes closer, the way he's been doing since Stiles cleared his name with the FBI. Rough, yet gentle hands bring warmth to his neck, take away the pain. Stiles breathes out in relief.
Scott hadn't come. Not to rescue them, at least. Wrapped up in his quest to save everyone, Scott had done what he thought he needed to do, unthinking of what losing Stiles and Lydia would mean in that very quest. Scott might be the True Alpha, but he is not the one leading everyone. So, essentially, Scott hadn't come. Not for them. But someone else had.
Derek and Parrish, an unlikely duo; one a savage beast, and the other the stuff of nightmares to the savage beast. And yet.
I do not have a title for this yet, and I haven't written much more in this one, but I hope I can soon!!

So I had this idea and I was wondering if you would write it. So damian has lived with his dad for a couple of years, he is 15/16 and his brothers have been nagging him about going on a date like a normal teenager for months now, and then one day he just snaps and screams at them " don't you get it I'm already betrothed!" His brothers are confused but try to help " I'm sure we can find a loophole and get you out of it!" "No. If the betrothal is broken the league will kill her."enter marinette.
Note: Well this story sounded better in my head, but it took forever to type up. I hope you enjoy it.
Damian couldn’t remember a time when his brothers didn’t make an attempt at his love life. Every other month (sometimes weeks) it was attempt after attempt.  He hated it. At first, he humored his brothers, but that humor quickly turned to the opposite emotion. Though Damian’s biggest secret thought that it was hilarious, and it was.
Damian remembers their first attempt, he was only fourteen, been in the Waynes’ custody for almost four years. He remembers being tugged into a bathroom and then forces to wear silly fancy clothes. His brothers should have been lucky that he didn’t have his weapons on him. To them, it was to gain the high school boy experience since Damian refused to do any of the sorts. Shouldn’t they just happy that he has one friend at the very least? Nope, they really wanted Damian to have a sense of normality.
“Baby bird, every teen goes on a date. Please just do this for us.” It was Dick that had started the persuasion. Damian had only tsk and fold his arms against his chest. He was already fed up with all the bullshit spewing from the older adopted Wayne’s mouth.
“Why should I even do this? I barely know the har—girl and—” Damian begins to scowl as Dick interrupts him by tossing a vest for him to wear. He mentally gags at the texture of the vest. Damian had scene better quality, not that he’ll tell where.
“We promise it will be worth it.”  It was Tim that adds to the conversation as Jason was to busy cleaning up his knife in broad daylight.
It wasn’t long after that was the date with a Gotham native. She wasn’t up to his standards; it was clear that she didn’t want to be with him for him. To this day he suspects that she only agreed because of the money. Damian tried everything to make the date super uncomfortable for the girl even going so far as to make up an explicitly detailed gory story. She left cursing his brothers, mainly Dick, out at the end of their date.
Damian had thought that would be the one and only time that would happen…he had forgotten the stubbornness that runs in the family. Failing was not an option as this continues for another four years.
“I’m sure it was a fun date.” A female’s voice says from the screen of his laptop, that was place on his dresser as he does shadow movements with his katana.
“It was tiresome, Angel, and quite frankly I’m getting sick of it.” Damian lowers the blade to his side and turns to face the screen. On the screen is a lovely female, around his age with long dark hair that drapes over her shoulders. She lets out a giggle.
“I’m sure they have the best intentions, besides it’s not like they know I exist, anyway.” She says rolling her eyes.
“Angel, I love you, but not even you can last an evening with the dates they have set up over and over again.” Damian sighs putting up the katana. He then picks up the laptop and goes to lie on his bed.
“Well, I’m sure it will all be fine. Besides, I have a surprise for you that is coming soon. Just hold out until then. Okay?” She says with a bright as a loud sound goes off in the background. Damian sighs and nods before ending the video call. He hates keeping her a secret, but it was the right thing to do.
It was a week later when his brothers came to him with another blind date proposal signally the tenth time that has happened in a span of a month. Everyone could see the growing frustration in the young Wayne heir. With the mention of dates, couples, restaurant, manhood, romance, it would set Damian off, although he was quick to calm down with a message from an Angel.
“Look Demon spawn, she is literally perfect for you.” It was an excuse, something for him to look forward to. No one is perfect.
“C’mon baby bird, she could be the one.” Another excuse. There was only one girl that was the one and she’s several hundred thousand miles away.
“Go, it all fancy and shit, also the NDA.” Ugh, this was becoming numbing. Damian could only wish to slide his fine blade across all their necks. Also, why the hell would Jason even mention an NDA to him in the first place?
“What is this? Another blind date for the young master?” Thank god for Alfred.
“Alfred, we promise this will be the last time.” That’s a lie and he knows it.
Damian could feel the growing headache forming at the back of his mind. Dick’s moving too fast, Tim’s giving him all the details about his so-called date, and well Jason is just being Jason.
“Enough!” Damian finally breaks. “The reason why I don’t like going on these so-called blind dates is because I’m betrothed to someone.” The word betrothed rings through the heads of his family members.
“Wha~!” Simultaneously, the older Waynes’ minds break.
“Is there any way you can break it off? A loophole even? How are you betrothed?” Shouldn’t that had been asked backward? They could all see the steam oozing out of Damian’s ears.
Crossing his arms and turning his back to his brothers, Damian looks down. “No, not unless you want a death on your hands. The only way to end a betrothal is to kill the other, that has always been the League’s away of things.” The second the last word left his lips, Damian walks away; he needs to talk with his Angel.
Still in shock, everyone turns to one another.
“How could we have missed that?” Tim screeches before taking a sip from his mug despite the shaking in his hand.
Dick was unsure what to say, think, or do. It’s not every day you learn the brother you’ve been setting up is engaged. An engagement that they could not break.
“I’m more worried who the brat is engaged too?” Jason murmurs then proceed to clean out his gun. His brothers stare at him with wide eyes unsure what to say to the second oldest.
For the next week after that bomb drop, his brothers continue to pester him about his betrothal, they even managed to include Bruce in the conversation a couple of times. If it wasn’t for Alfred, Damian knows that the pestering would have left someone in the hospital.
On a rare sunny day in Gotham, Damian had taken Titus out for a walk. It was clear his mind and to get away for the time being. Finding a nice park bench to sit on, he pulls out a small sketchpad and begins to sketch. Titus runs around enjoying the outdoors.
“Is this spot taken?” The voice sounded so familiar. He grunts ever once looking up the person afraid that he had misheard the voice. “Oh, c’mon Dams, I thought you would be happy to see me.” It was then that he looks up. In shock, he pushes the sketchpad to the side and pulls the person in front of him into his arms.
“I miss you.” He murmurs into her dark hair. “But how?”
“I managed to win the Martha Wayne scholarship, and then your butler Alfred got into contact with me about visiting.” She says looking up to Damian, though she was mainly seeing his chin due to their height difference. “You’ve grown.” She then pouts.
Damian lets out a soft chuckle, hoping that no one outside of his Angel heard him. His Angel places her head against his chest and together they stayed like that until Titus decided that he was some attention.
“Awe, he’s so cute.” She says petting the Great Dane.
Damian was internally happy to have her by his side for the first time in years. She’s the one that is perfect for him and it’s not because she was molded to be, but because she knows him inside and out.
When Damian, Titus, and his Angel returned to the manor, it is Alfred that they see first.
“Welcome home, young master, and Miss Dupain-Cheng.” Alfred greets the teen.
“Alfred, please call me Marinette, my last name can be a mouth full,” Marinette says giving the butler a smile. Alfred nods and proceeds to guide them to the living room. “So, this is the Wayne manor, those photos you send me Dams does this no justice.”
Damian once again chuckles knowing she’ll be in a heavily inspired by the architecture which will then cause her to go dark until she finishes whatever project came out of the inspiration.
“Angel, how about I give you a proper tour of the manor?” He offers to which she gladly takes.
Marinette had been staying at the Wayne manor for a couple of days before Damian brothers make their grand entrance. Without catching sight of the girl, they make their way to the youngest Wayne hoping to get some answers about his betrothal.
“Um, you can ask me if you want,” Marinette says from behind the boys causing an outcry of emotions.
“What you’re real?” It was Tim rubbing his eyes that speaks first.
Marinette awkwardly nods, “And you need sleep. I have a special brew that can knock anyone out within seconds.” She says to Tim before turning to the others. “I’m Marinette, nice to meet you.”
Dick and Jason stare at the girl lost for words. Dick was internally gushing about her size and how cute she is compared to Damian while Jason struggles to comprehend the person in front of him.
Marinette closes the gap between her and Jason. She looks over the second oldest and smiles sadly. “You have so much darkness around you. The same that used to be around Dams. I could help you if you want.” She says taking the male’s hand.
Jason was lost for words. This person was willing to help him. He wasn’t sure how to feel but the light flowing off of this tiny person was overpowering.
“That’s it you’re my new favorite sibling. I will protect you with my life.” Dick cries out starting the competition of who’s Marinette’s favorite brother-in-law.
Not surprisingly enough, Marinette warmed her way into the Wayne family. She even bonded with Steph, Cass, and Barbara whenever the girls came over for a girls-only day. Damian quickly was reminded why he didn’t want his family to know about her, seeing that he barely has time with her as his siblings take all the time away. Though it has it’s benefits. He can now visit Marinette in France without needing to sneak away and she could come to visit the manor whenever she wants.
Damian knew the moment he said “I do”, she’ll be his forever in life and in death just like he’ll be hers forever.

I pulled this from a daganronpa imagine I read and my brain just expanded on it so i’m now just gonna write this while it’s still fresh in my brain<3.
(I’ll put the bottom half in regular text so it’s easier to read)
Idea// So basically the this takes place when Amane was still alive. The reader is a demon who was banished from hell and forced to live in the human realm as a punishment. So while wandering around the Earth , the reader comes across the school that Amane goes to and decides to take a look around. (It’s late at night and i’m really tired so i’m gonna finish this up quickly-) Long story short , she falls in love with him and ends up severely hurting herself , then positioning her ‘injured’ body somewhere he’ll come across it so she could just enjoy her moments in his arms as he carries her to the hospital. (It’s long but like my imagination was getting bigger and bigger as I was writing this- you could write this however you want to, it hurts to think so it might’ve gotten a bit confusing at the end)
The One Thing That Was Out Of Reach❣︎
Amane Yugi x supernatural! reader
Warning: Death, a bit of gore, sadness
IMPORTANT A/N!!! Instead of a demon I made them a supernatural like Yako and Tsuchigomori!! Okay thank you!
Ima cry writing this- *plays Introduction to the Snow*
Anyways, enjoy and have a good day or night!
I sighed watching the ravenette run around the campus for P.E. I sat on the bleachers as he slowly approached me. He sat next to me as he slowly drank his water. I examined the boy as he drank. I smiled watching him, opening my mouth to say something but was cut off.
“Yugi!! Get up, you have two more laps to run!!” The P.E. teacher yelled.
“Yes sir!!” He quickly stood up and continued running. I groaned and placed my head into the palm of my hands a little frustrated he had to leave so soon. It's not like it mattered anyways. He couldn’t see me. I’ve been in this school since it was built and I never loved anyone the way I loved Amane. He was a dork, he really is, but that’s just what I like about him. He’s a real guy and knows what it’s like to be down in a bad place. But I can’t be with him, I’m a supernatural and he’s a human. It’s not right.
“That's it! Class dismissed!” The teacher shouted. Amane ran over to me again, picking up his water battle. He started to walk back to the building and I followed him. He walked into his class and sat down in his seat next to the window, looking up at what was left of the moon. I heard a small groan and looked over to see Tsuchigomori looking at me slightly annoyed. I giggled at this and waved to him which he rolled his eyes too. Tsuchigomori knew I liked Amane. Well of course he did since I stayed with him through all of his classes.
Lucky for me, whoever sat behind Amane was not here today so I sat down. I smiled as I rested my head on the desk looking at Amanes back. Tsuchigomori started his lesson and I watched Amane’s hair jump every time he looked up at the white board and back down at his desk.
What I would give to be human so I can be with him.
Once class was over, Tsuchigomori told Amane to stay behind and I stayed also.
“You need to tell me who’s hurting you Yugi…” He took a medical bag out from under the desk and started looking through the things. Amane averted his gaze from the teacher, clearly not wanting to talk. I wanted to help Amane, he never talks about who's hurting him but he always comes into class with more bruises than he had the day before. My brows furrowed as I looked at his beat up arm. I wanted to give him a hug but was unable too. The dark haired teacher sat across from the boy and took his arm.
“Not going to talk huh?” Tsuchigomori asked, “Normal for you.”
Amane said nothing in response. This isn’t the first time the teacher had to treat his students for his wounds. It's actually how I learned of Amane Yugi’s existence. Tsuchigomori gave up on trying to talk to the boy and just worked on his hurt arm. I looked sadly at him. Once he was done Amane started to pack his things.
“See you later Tsuchigomori…” He walked out of the room. I was about to follow him but was held back when someone put their hand on my shoulder. I looked over at Tsuchigomori who gave me a concerned look.
“Why don’t you just stay in your human form?” He asked and I looked down. “If you want, I can help you become a student here. You can be in Amanes class.”
“It’s fine Tsuchigomori, thank you though.” I smiled slightly. “It wouldn’t be right… I can’t trick him like that”
Tsuchigomori sighed and sat at his desk.
“But you love him don’t you?” He asked.
“I do.” I approached the window and watched the choppy haired boy walk off the campus “I love him more than anything.”
The teacher grumbled as he continued to do paper work. We had this conversation before. It would be wrong to date him as a supernatural. I don’t age so it’s not like we actually have a future together. It would just be better to keep things that way they are.
“It’s your choice…” He gave me a serious look “just don’t regret it.”
“I won’t…” At least I hope I won't.

I sat on the stairs running my fingers through the foxes fur while she layed on my lap. I sighed and she looked up at me.
“You’re in love with that human boy right?” She asked and I looked at her shocked.
“How did you know..?!” I blushed. She moved herself in my lap to get a better look at me.
“I can tell when someone likes someone they can’t be with.” She said and I calmed down a little. Of course she knows what I’m going through, she liked a human once as well.
“Would it be wrong to be with him..?” I sighed and looked at her. Yako looked at me with a concerned look. She knew what I wanted to hear but it wasn’t the right answer.
“Supernaturals and humans shouldn’t hang out with each other Y/n…” She said. “Trust me, I want that to be true as much as you do.” I felt a tear form on the edge of my eyes which I wiped away instantly.
“Did you hear that there was going to be a meteor shower tomorrow night?” Yako quickly changed the subject.
“Oh yeah I forgot about that!” I smiled “Students will be allowed to stay on campus late to watch on the roof! Amane really likes the stars so I bet he's going to stay for a long time…”
“Yeah I bet he is…”
*┈┈┈┈*┈┈┈┈*┈┈┈┈*┈┈┈┈*┈┈┈┈*┈┈┈┈*
I ran out of the classroom and to the gate entrance. I looked up to the rooftop to see a couple telescopes being set up. One of them being set up by a choppy haired boy.
“I knew he would be here!” I smiled. When Amane looked at the stars he always looked so happy. It makes me so happy to see him enjoying something he loves so much. I was about to run to the rooftop when I heard someone.
“Hey. Supernatural.” A voice called out. I turned to a boy with dirty blond hair and gray eyes looking straight into my e/c ones.
“Wait… you can see me…?” I questioned, pointed to myself.
“Yes, I’m an exorcist.” He strictly said.
“An… exorcist..?” I asked.
“Yes, and I’m here to exorcise you.” My eyes widened. I felt my body freeze in place. I can’t be exorcised right now. Not while Amane will be so close, so happy tonight. I stepped back as he stepped closer. He pulled out a sharp katana, lightning emerging from the weapon. I wasn’t a hard opponent. Even if he is not an advanced exorcist, I’m not one of the seven mysteries, I didn’t have much to defend myself.
‘Maybe if I go to the rooftop in my human form… he won’t hurt me if I’m around people who can see me..!” I thought. I looked over to the door which was a little bit away from me. I looked back at the guy as he stepped closer.
I have to do this. I made a dash for the door which the boy clearly expected when he threw a lightning strike in front of me. I quickly stopped as a lightning cage was formed around me, preventing me from even getting to the door. I felt someone kick my back which caused me to fall to the ground. The boy used his foot to turn me over and grinned once he saw the tears in my eyes.
“What's this..?” He rubbed his shoe deeper into my shoulder causing me to groan in pain. “It’s not like anyone besides me will hear your cries and screams so there is no point… it’s not like you are special to anyone.”
Tears rolled down my cheeks as my hand gripped his ankle trying to push him off.
“Just let go of this life and give up.” With that a sharp pain went through my abdomen. He pulled the katana out of my stomach, blood dripping down from the tip onto the ground. He took his shoe off my shoulder.
“Pathetic creature.” He walked off the campus and left me. Tears ran down my face as he left me to suffer. I looked at my wound. Red was flowing to the ground from the hole.
“Hey, I left my spare telescope at home, I’ll be right back, Tsukasa.”
My eyes widened as the ravenette opened the door of the school and walked out. My breathing was heavier seeing him. This was probably my last chance to see him. I couldn’t have him leave. I needed him with me just a minute longer.
I propped myself up on a nearby tree and let myself slip into my human form which wasn’t different from my supernatural form. I coughed and felt a warm liquid trail down my chin.
“A...mane…” I whispered before coughing again. The boy turned to me, too dark to see he squinted his eyes.
“Hello..?” He called out “Is someone there..?” He walked closer, flinching when he saw a small trail of blood making it’s way over to the tree. Once his eyes landed on my figure he froze.
“H-HEY!! WHAT HAPPENED?!?!” He ran up to me, placing a hand on my abdomen. I looked into his golden eyes and couldn’t help but feel happy.
“...Amane-” I started to cough again, more blood coming out of my mouth this time.
“We need to get to a hospital!!” He picked me up in his arms, deciding it was best to ignore the blood that would stain his clothes.
“Please stay with me!!” He ran off the campus. I looked up at him. For a brief second he looked into my eyes then back to where he was running. His eyes held so many emotions, sadness, fear, hope.
“UHM! W-what's your name?!?!” He asked.
“It’s Y/n…”
“Well it's going to be okay y/n!”
I looked up at the sky to see the meteor shower starting.
“A-amane… the meteor shower… you are going to miss it…” I faintly said but he heard me.
“That's not important right now! We need to get you taken care of!!”
“More important than the stars..?”
“Yes! You are more important than the stars!!”
My cheeks warmed up when he said that. I smiled, eyes filling with tears of joy.
“We are almost there!” He panicked.
“I love you Amane Yugi.”
“You what..?! H-hey! Don’t leave me!!” Tears formed in his eyes as the hand that was holding my stomach went limp and fell to my side. He stopped and placed me down, tears falling from his eyes.
“Hey…! Wake up..!! Please!” He lightly shaked my body. He wrapped his arms around me and put his head into my neck, hugging my lifeless form.
“I’m sorry y/n…”
There is something I learned that night.
I learned I didn’t die with a single regret.
Because I died in the arms of the one I loved.
The one thing that was out of reach...

☾vi. part vi: kite
2 years later
Gunshots, ear-piercing screams, and indistinct shouting filled the lobby of the hotel that made up the Mafias headquarters.
What had started as a normal day for the Mafia and their naive guests enjoying their stay in Yorknew City took a turn for the worst as pure chaos took over the building in a matter of minutes.
The lifeless bodies of innocents and members of the Mafia alike dropped to the floor as the rogue team of assassins took the hideout by surprise. It was a well-calculated invasion that left the Mafia devastated in their unsuspecting demise.
Among the bloodshed and havoc, a slender girl with piercing violet eyes dashed about elegantly, her brilliant white hair flowing in waves behind her. She was moving faster than the normal person could see, leaving fallen Mafia members in her wake as her katana cut through the mass numbers of their defense.
The girl’s murderous, purple aura radiated off of her figure dauntingly, forcing those incapable of nen to drop dead instantly. Those who had nen abilities of their own sensed the menacing aura immediately, not even daring to challenge the assassin in combat.
As the sickening gore and violence grew to its peak, Sayomi felt as though she’d never been more alive.
Smiling confidently as she ploughed through her targets with ease, Sayomi lost herself in the rebellion, at last getting her vengeance against the Mafia that had kept her bound for the past 2 years.
Upon the shout of her allies already stationed in an elevator, Sayomi sprinted to join them, a grin plastered on her face as she had barely broken a sweat.
The group of hostage Mafia assassins made their way up to the 51st floor, having secured the lobby from sending any reinforcements up to the main office.
The guards surrounding the Mafia boss’ room were their toughest matchups yet, but still no match for the rebel group of assassins fighting for their escape.
Sayomi relied on her needles, expertly positioning three of them between her knuckles while she scanned her opponents.
Using up two out of three on a single guard and her remaining one on another, she was empty-handed as the last man charged towards her with a knife in his hand.
Focusing her strength and power on her left hand, she immobilized the man that rushed towards her with a single swipe, removing the man’s heart in a fraction of a second. The movement was so precise that not even a single drop of blood was left in her hand’s trail.
I’ve gotta thank Zoldyck assassin training for that one.
Her allies defeated their own opponents in no time, the group now heading into the office where the source of their ankle monitors sat in wait.
The mafia boss sat rather casually in front of the rebel group of assassins, seeming unfazed by the sudden invasion.
He was capable of admitting his own loss, recognizing when he was clearly outnumbered and outclassed. Raising his arms above his head in defeat, the boss located the controls that would release the ankle monitors from the assassins.
Sayomi’s anklet fell to the floor with a clatter, freeing her from the Mafia’s grasp at last.
Not caring much for her allies or the fate of the remaining Mafia members, Sayomi vanished from the scene in a streak of white, making her escape while the damage was at a minimum. She had no desires of becoming a notorious criminal, even if it was within the underground association of gangs and assassins,
She eventually made her way back down to the lobby, which was still a war zone between the Mafia and rogue assassins.
With light, nimble steps, she made her way through the madness with ease, strolling out the front door of the Mafia’s headquarters.
☾vi.
The cool midnight air welcomed Sayomi and her newly discovered freedom, as well as the distant wail of sirens and screaming citizens.
Thoughtlessly making her way over to a car parked near the hotel, she studied her reflection in the side mirror, wiping the dried splotches of blood off her face with her sleeves.
Well, would you look at that? Unharmed. I was expecting at least a bullet or two.
Now having gotten all the blood off of her face, Sayomi paused momentarily. She stared at her reflection with what seemed to be a mix of bemusement and repulsiveness.
She was 18 years old now, marking the 8th year she had spent away from her home. But in those 8 years, especially the past two had changed her more drastically than her family would ever know.
She had been forced to mature and throw away her youth in order to survive, and now she was finally realizing that it was okay to live for herself. She didn’t need the approval of her family to tell her what she was doing was right or wrong.
Free at last.
Heaven’s Arena, here I come.
☾vi.
On a tight budget from the remaining pocket money she had last earned from the Mafia, Sayomi bought a new outfit before taking a cab to the towering building of Heaven’s Arena.
Even this late at night, she could hear the cheers of excitement from inside the arena, the moment she stepped out of the cab. Running a pale hand through her hair, she took a deep breath before pushing the doors to the main entrance open.
Being some time past midnight, the line for registration was rather short. Sayomi reached the desk in no time, filling out a form the clerk had provided her with.
“Sayomi Zoldyck, your number is 1099. They’ll call your number on the first floor of the arena. So make sure you remember it!”
The clerk was a bit too bubbly for Sayomi’s liking, and so she decided to get moving before she’d do something she’d regret.
Strolling down the hallway with her hands resting behind her head, Sayomi squinted as bright lights illuminated the first-floor arena in front of her.
The mix of contestants and spectators roared in excitement at the fights in front of them.
The arena was sectioned off into 4 rows of 4, each fighting platform labelled with a corresponding letter.
Sayomi took a seat in the back row of the crowd, examining the fights going on in front of her. There were no weapons allowed, and for that same reason, no one seemed to be using their nen.
The first floor is just a street brawl.
Sighing at the lack of etiquette displayed in the fights, Sayomi leaned back in her seat, waiting patiently for her number to be called.
Around 5 matches later, Sayomi’s number was finally called through the intercom.
“Number 1099. Number 2305. Please make your way to Ring C.”
Rocking back upwards to get out of her seat, Sayomi stepped lightly down the stairs, entering the arena.
Arriving in front of Ring C, she placed her katana and needles down on the floor, hopping into the ring unarmed.
Her opponent had already been standing in the ring, an arrogant smirk decorating his face. Contestant number 2305 was a tall, bulky man with styled brown hair and various tattoos scattered across his body.
“Oh dear, my opponent is a little girl. If you ask nicely I’ll get this over with quick!” the man was full of himself, laughing at his own remarks made against Sayomi.
In return, Sayomi only sighed, dropping her hands to her sides as she stared at her opponent, uninterested in talking back.
The referee debriefed the rules with an unchanging tone, “On the first floor, we appraise each participant’s level. You are allowed three minutes to demonstrate your prowess.”
With a glance to each side, he yelled, “Then, begin!”
At the referee’s notice, Sayomi’s opponent came rushing towards her at full speed, ready to attack.
Unstable. What a careless fighter.
Sayomi stood her ground as the man came charging towards her, stepping left in the last moment to swoop down and yank her opponent’s right ankle upwards with pure strength.
Standing back up, the man was flipped from underneath, falling forcefully to the ground head first.
Sayomi now stood over her opponent, waiting for him to get up and continue the fight.
Unbeknownst to her, she had used a little too much power, causing the man to go unconscious with his fall.
Frowning at the lack of movement from the man, Sayomi looked up at the shocked referee with a confused expression.
Oh, shit. Did I accidentally break his neck?
A loud groan sounded from the man’s slumped figure on the ground, catching Sayomi and the referee’s attention.
She sighed in relief at the man’s sign of responsiveness, the referee now announcing her as the victor of the fight.
Surprised cheers sounded from the audience in the stands, filling the arena with excitement as Sayomi’s fight had ended in a matter of seconds.
“Number 1099. Proceed to the 50th floor.” The referee handed her a ticket, quickly turning to get help for the unconscious man before she could even mutter out a thanks.
On her way up to the 50th floor, Sayomi had learned all about the floor system and rewards at Heaven’s Arena. She needed to pass the 100th floor in order to get her own room, which is what she was aiming for.
However, because of the influx of contestants past the initial floors of fighting, she was in for a good amount of downtime, waiting for her next fights to be called.
☾vi.
Sayomi slept in the stands that night, as her fight was scheduled for the next day. Compared to the harsh weather of Meteor City and the makeshift cardboard floors she’d slept on, the air-conditioned fabric benches at Heaven’s Arena were a big improvement.
☾vi.
The matches on the 50th floor progressed one by one, only room for a single fight to go on at a time. Here, the audience placed bets on a fighter of their choice, attracting a larger audience than that of the first floor.
Sayomi was yet again unfazed by the sheer size difference between herself and her opponent, sensing that his power was only skin-deep.
The bets were overwhelmingly in her opponent’s favor, leaving those who could sense the difference in aura as well as crazy guessers making up her odds.
Just as she had predicted, her opponent was a fraud. She utilized the same exact skill she had used back down on the first floor, sending her opponent flying upwards using his very own momentum against him.
It was a basic principle of fighting to never over pursue. Her opponent wasn’t worthy of her to use anything more against him than the basics.
The crowd was devastated having lost their bets, but the very few that had sensed the girl’s potential sat smiling at their fortunes.
Among this crowd was a tall, thin man in his early 20s.
Sharp, black eyes were partially covered by a blue tweed hat, his face and slender figure framed by exceptionally long flowing hair, as white as Sayomi’s.
He sat comfortably among the stands, with a subtle, yet satisfied expression on his narrow face, only moving from his seat after spotting Sayomi leave the arena.
☾vi.
After claiming her prize money, Sayomi made her way to the canteen for a late lunch. Her next fight on the 60th floor would be in 2 days, which meant she would have to sleep in the stands again.
With another fight having started in the arena, the canteen was mostly empty. Sayomi grabbed a tray as she lazily blew a few strands of hair away from her face.
Opting for a few pieces of bread, Sayomi reached her hand out to grab a slice, when she felt someone watching her.
It was a powerful aura. Not menacing or evil like she expected, but clear and intimidating. Forcing her hand to continue with her selection of bread, she tried to withstand the aura as if she hadn’t noticed anything.
Damn. That’s one impressive aura.
Moving to pay for her selection of food, Sayomi prepared to whip around and confront her follower. However, the presence had vanished.
As if it had never been there in the first place, all her senses of the stranger disappeared into the air. Zetsu.
Walking back to a table with her eyes fixated on the floor, she attempted to seek out the figure using her En.
There you are.
She felt the faint presence of the skilled nen user on her left, sitting at a table about 20 feet from hers.
The man had not moved since she’d entered the canteen. He’d only been watching with bored eyes as Sayomi figured out his location at last.
Slowly turning her head to the left, Sayomi was prepared to take a glance at the man, when she saw he was no longer there.
A radiating aura on her right shattered her thoughts as she broke out into cold sweat. He was freakishly fast, and silent at that.
“Zoldyck.” The man’s voice was dull with the slightest hint of amusement as the assassin’s last name rolled off his tongue.
Spurring into action at the sound of his voice, Sayomi had a needle between her knuckles, prepared to fight. But upon seeing the man’s face, she faltered, a faint blush rising to her cheeks.
Why does he look so familiar?
She kept her guard up as she examined the young man’s now smiling face. A pale, angular face, with dark almond shaped eyes and sharp facial features.
A gasp left Sayomi’s mouth before she could even try to contain it.
She was thrown into a flashback gazing at the young man’s face.
7-year old Sayomi dashed through the massive forests that surrounded Kukuroo Mountain. Her neatly braided hair loosened with each step, twigs and leaves tangling themselves into her bright white hair.
It was Friday, and that meant Kite would be trespassing into the Kukuroo Mountain forests, her family’s property, any time now.
Kite was a 13 year old boy with waist length silver-white hair much like Sayomi’s. He had been born with the natural talents and abilities of a skilled hunter, allowing him to push through the Zoldyck Testing Gates with ease.
On top of his sheer strength and abilities, Kite had a peculiar bond with animals. It was almost as if he was able to communicate with them, and in return the animals trusted him, regardless of their size or species.
Kite first started sneaking his way into the Zoldyck family forests about a year prior. With a great interest in nature and the animals that inhibited it, Kite was pushed towards visiting Kukuroo mountain after hearing how it was the one place no one really had information about. He always came around the same time when the sun began to set on Fridays.
Long story short, young Sayomi had discovered the trespassing boy one day after running out of the mansion, crying after an argument with her mother.
In her young and devastated state, Sayomi had become attached to Kite, who would listen to her ramble about her family or study butterflies with her. It was a childhood infatuation that Sayomi had with Kite.
So when the older boy with the willowy figure stopped showing up on Fridays, and soon all together, Sayomi experienced her very first heartbreak.
Because of the limited contact she had with the outside world and people in general, Kite’s absence proved to take a bigger toll on young Sayomi’s heart than he should’ve.
As she grew older and started her assassin job, Sayomi had less time to think about the sudden disappearance of the boy, only feeling his loss when she was all alone at the end of a long day.
Now sitting across from him at a small table that left mere inches between the two, Sayomi was stunned and conflicted.
Now age 24, he was much taller, his long limbs looking as if they alone could shield her from the rest of the world and her problems. Foolish thoughts.
At last opening her mouth to speak, Sayomi felt all her strength wilt away as she faced the boy who’d once been her only friend and source of solace. “Kite.”
Kite’s tight-lipped grin grew wider at Sayomi remembering his name. To be honest, he’d had trouble recalling her name the first time he saw her in the waiting area of the 50th floor.
It was a mere coincidence running into her here, as he’d actually been looking for the student his master requested he teach the basics of nen to. Hearing Sayomi’s name during the announcement of her fight rang a bell in his head, and he was eager to catch up with the little Zoldyck girl from his childhood.
Kite saw their meeting as a friendly reunion, evidently unaware of the amount of emotional stress his vacancy had caused her. Because to him, Kukuroo Mountain was merely another pitstop for his studies, the little girl having been just another local inhabiting the new area of his research.
Thus, when several of the girl’s needles slipped from her grasp as Sayomi stared at Kite with a deep aura of sadness, his smile faltered, utterly confused.
“Is everything alright?” Kite looked at Sayomi with the same sympathetic eyes he’d used to when they were little.
Now recognizing that the look in his eyes had never been more than one would give a kicked puppy, Sayomi’s past false assumptions of Kite possibly reciprocating her feelings faded into emptiness.
In his eyes I was never more than a neglected child in desperate need of consolation.
Forcing a smile onto her face, Sayomi nodded a bit too vigorously, trying to hide her thoughts.
“Yes, of course. I was just so surprised to see you after all this time.” She gripped the side of her pants with white knuckles in an attempt to maintain her composure.
Though he wasn’t thoroughly convinced, Kite gave Sayomi another warm smile, attempting to lift the mood of the conversation. “Ah, I see. My apologies if I startled you, I wanted to test how much your abilities had improved since the last time we met. And I have to say I’m impressed, your aura has grown an astonishing rate.”
Sayomi laughed in return. “I’ll accept the compliment, but I think we both know I’m nowhere near your level. What brings you to Heaven’s Arena?”
Before she knew it, the malice and sorrow that had been her reunion Kite turned into a lighter, casual exchange of words. This must be a sign that I’ve matured at least a little bit. Don’t be so dramatic, he was only a childhood crush after all, we’re still friends.
Kite told Sayomi of the mission he had received from his pro hunter master, who went by the name of Ging. He was to find and train a teen named Stick Dinner, who happened to have left his hometown to train at Heaven’s Arena.
Sayomi marveled at his various adventures, slightly jealous at all he had got to experience. “So you have a master now? But you’re also teaching someone else? Doesn’t that technically make you a master too?”
Kite stopped to consider her words, realizing that in a way she was correct. “I suppose if you think about it that way, then yes, I’ve become an apprentice-master of nen. But that doesn’t mean much, I still have a lot to learn from Ging.”
Sayomi knew to seize an opportunity to become stronger when she saw one. “In that case, will you teach me as well?”
Kite blinked at the teen in front of him. He was now noticing how much she had obviously matured from the last time he’d seen her, and not just from her aura.
Her eyes were still the striking violet color, and her hair was ever white with the slightest of waves, but she was physically stronger, lean with muscle and absent of any more roundness surrounding her jawline. A true Zoldyck in the flesh. Something about her aura tells me that she’s been through more than just her family’s abuse. Sayomi, what have you been up to?
“You want me to teach you? Why not your parents or instructors? I bet I’m still no match for any of them.”
Sayomi grimaced at the mention of her parents. “Well… we’re both already here anyway, and it’d be nice to spend time with an old friend!”
It was a white lie, not completely false, but also far from the truth.
Kite raised his eyebrows at her reasoning, still not completely understanding why she’d settle for him over her renowned, powerful parents. I suppose a sparring partner for my student wouldn’t do any harm…
“Hmm… I guess if that’s what you truly desire, it would also benefit my student to have a strong training partner. Are you sure?”
Sayomi’s eyes lit up along with a long overdue genuine smile. “Yes, of course! Thank you so much, I promise I’ll make myself worth your time!”
She reached across the table to embrace an unexpecting Kite out of happiness, feeling absolutely safe in his proximity for a moment before realizing she shouldn’t get used to his comfort. One last time. Old habits… they’re so hard to break.
Moving backwards away from the stunned man, Sayomi muttered a quick apology. To this, Kite only laughed, sitting up straighter in his seat. “Ha… no need to apologize, we’re friends after all. Would you like to accompany me while I search for my student?”
Sayomi ran a meek hand through her hair, shameful and unsettled of how vulnerable she had become in front of a man.
Get your act together, he’s your instructor now.
The two rose from their seats, walking slowly back towards the arena where Kite’s student most likely would be.
“Ah, of course. Is your student here on the 60th floor as well?”
Kite smiled at her compliance, nodding in return. “Yes, I believe so. I searched through the records of fights, and it seems he won his last fight on the 50th floor. Ah, but that reminds me, do you currently have a place to stay between your fights?”
“I- actually I don’t. I’ve been sleeping in the stands for now… But so far it’s been rather pleasant!” Sayomi realized how little sense her words had just made, cringing visibly.
Kite looked down at her with an amused expression. “I’m aware you need to pass the 100s in order to get a room to yourself… but until then would you like to stay in mine?”
Yo what the- “EH?!” Sayomi blinked twice at her instructor, as if she was waiting for him to dismiss it as a joke.
Kite laughed out loud, showing the most genuine expression she’d ever seen from him. “I happen to have an acquaintance on the 200th floor that won’t be back for a while, so I’ll be staying there with my student for the time being. That being, my room on the 199th floor where I left off a few years ago is still available. I just figured it would be much more pleasant for you to stay there until you get a room of your own.”
Making sense of the situation, Sayomi glared at the older boy, her lips flat in a straight line. “Are you enjoying yourself playing with my senses after all these years? You know I’m still annoyed at the fact that you were able to sneak past my aura.”
☾vi.
The two childhood friends exchanged taunts and jokes with each other, arriving at the arena in no time.
Once there, Kite was able to sense out the distinct aura of his student, Stick Dinner amongst the contestants in wait of their matches.
Stick was a scrawny boy, probably around Sayomi’s age, with a brown afro and abnormally large sense of humor.
Declaring that training would start the next day, Kite provided Sayomi with his old room key, bidding her a good night as he settled in the temporarily vacant room on the 200th floor with his student.
The now group of three couldn’t have had more contrasting personalities, and Kite was curious to see how their training would go. For the first time in a while he found himself anticipating the next day, intrigued with how much the little Zoldyck girl from his childhood had expanded her own potential.
☾vi.
Sayomi stood in the doorway of Kite’s room on the 199th floor. Though faint, his familiar scent surrounded her as she walked farther into the simple room.
There were no signs of anyone having stayed in the room, the furniture and appliances brand new. Content with the silence and privacy the room offered as opposed to the arena stands, Sayomi flopped onto the bed, the soft mattress breaking her fall.
Sayomi was conflicted. Within her mind and heart, she was trying to grasp the exact feelings she’d felt after seeing the boy who had broken her heart 11 years ago.
Should I be sad?
Did I ever actually feel that way about him… or was I just happy because of the attention he gave me?
Maybe this is just what it feels like to have a friend.
☾vi.

Three excruciating days after the transplant, Leo finally let me free. I had re-read most of my books, listened to all of my music on repeat more than I’d like to admit, and stared at the ceiling for countless hours. I was surprisingly relieved when he told me that he had to break our promise. At least I now knew Raph didn’t over-stress himself over the information. Plus, it was nice knowing there wasn’t much for him to break if he lost his temper during quarantine. I figured Mikey could hold his own against his weakened brother if it did come to blows. Thankfully, it did not. I heard he also took it rather well. Which simultaneously made me happy that he kept his cool and had me doubting what little effect I may have once had over him.
I could only hope he still cared about my welfare to get him to stay in the lair indefinitely.
Still, it was nice to leave my room. The first place I went was Raph’s room. Where I found there was no bed because they had carried him on his bed into the quarantine room. So he would be more comfortable when he woke. I hoped he appreciated his brothers’ thoughtfulness. I then peeked into the lab to find both Raph and Mikey snoring, disappointing me slightly. I would’ve liked to see how well he was doing for myself. With a sigh, I made my way toward the living room and plopped myself onto the giant bean bag and turned on the tv to enjoy my newfound freedom. A few minutes later, spaghetti was resting on my lap as if I had conjured it. I looked up to find Leo sitting on the couch, making it known that he wasn’t leaving until I had eaten at least a few bites.
He was really throwing off my groove with this whole ‘forcing me to eat thing’. How was I supposed to convince Raph to stay in the lair if I didn’t look sick? Plus, it was hard to eat anymore. Those weeks I went barely eating were affecting me more than I wanted to admit. But if it kept Raph safe, it was worth it.
A few bites in I expected him to leave. Instead, he flicked his gaze between my plate and eyes, raising a brow in challenge. I huffed, but continued eating. Spaghetti was my favorite, after all, so I figured a few extra bites wouldn’t hurt. Eventually he was satisfied and left the room for the dojo.
I waited on bated breath until I heard the swishing of his katanas before sneaking off for the restroom. I needed to empty my stomach, and fast. Unfortunately, I bumped into Donnie on my way, who dragged me back to the living room area. His excuse was that he wanted to watch a movie with me.
This pattern continued for the following few days. To my utter frustration.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Today was the day. The day Raph and Mikey were finally going to get out of quarantine. The day he was going to get to see you, and he couldn’t wait. He was more anxious than the first night they went topside and that was saying something.
Three days after Leo had spilled his guts about what had been going on with you and Raph felt he was almost at 100 percent. Sure, he still needed a few extra hours of sleep, to get some muscle back, and get his cardio up a bit more, but he finally got the okay from Donnie to get out of this bubble. All Donnie had to do was some last minute blood tests to make sure there was no more poison in his system and that their immune systems were up to crack after the transplant. When he gave the all clear, Raph ripped the plastic down and asked where to find you.
Raph asked everyone not to tell you that he was going to be out of quarantine because he wanted to see you before you saw him. He needed to see how true the stories were. He needed to make sure he could compose himself before you saw him.
He stopped dead in his tracks when he found you sitting alone on the couch, watching tv. A banana laid next to you, untouched, and he wondered if you had eaten yet. You needed to eat. You were so small, waif-like really. The curves he so loved on you had disappeared. Replaced with fragile looking bone. You looked exhausted with dark bags and droopy eyes. Your skin was paler than he had ever seen and your hair looked thin, not that he knew much about that, but it used to have a mind of its own. Now it was flat and lifeless. His heart broke at the sight.
Slowly- quietly- he made his way toward you. You had yet to notice him and he needed all the strength he could muster not to go off on you. Why had you not taken care of yourself- especially when you found out he was alive and well. Why had you not slept better? Ate more?
Raph grabbed the banana from behind the couch and handed it to you.
“Not hungry,” you said with barely a glance.
“Ya look hungry ta me,” he rasped, unable to speak above a whisper looking at you.
Your head snapped up at the sound of his voice with so much velocity your entire body spun around, causing you to slip off the couch, arms flailing. He caught you though, and stood you up on the couch, now at eye-level.
“Raph!” You beamed up at him, wide-eyed, and threw your bird-like arms around his neck. Gently, he reciprocated with a loose hold around your waist, worried he might hurt you as he buried his nose at the crook of your neck. You looked so fragile, and he had always been like a bull in a china shop.
“Why’d you do this?” He didn’t mean to ask- he really didn’t- but he had to know. You stiffened in his hold and tried to back out of the hug, but he held you where you were. He didn’t want you falling off the couch. And he sure as shell did not want to let go. If he worried about your safety before, now he was even more concerned. There was no way he was going to let you out of his sight anytime soon. “Wha’ were you thinkin’ Swee’heart?” His voice was muffled and broken.
“I just- I wasn’t hungry, that’s all,” you shrugged in his hold as if it wasn’t a big deal.
“Y/n,” Raph demanded your attention with a growl, now looking you in the eyes as he held you steady by the waist. “There’s a diffe’ence between not feelin’ hungry and starvin’ yerself!”
“Raph-”
“Don’tcha ‘Raph’ me, Princess,” he let go and stepped around the couch. You followed his every move, sitting back down while he paced between you and the tv. “Leo told me ev’rythin’. And Mikey. They were worried sick! Don’tcha know what ya mean ta them! Huh!”
~~~~~~~~~~~
Raph was fuming as my heart beat wildly in my chest. Two pet names in the span of a couple minutes? It was almost too much to endure along with the fact that he was saying more than three words to me at a time until my heart sunk at the mention of his brothers and asking what I meant to them. Not him. Them. Still, I couldn’t tear my gaze away.
He was awake.
He was moving.
He was alive.
And he was just as strong as ever before.
“They were startin’ ta worry you might hurt yerself, Y/n.”
“I’m sorry,” I mumbled, bowing my head in shame. “I wouldn’t do that.” Unless he had died, I thought to myself, remembering that night he came back injured. My first thought at the time was that I couldn’t live without him. My second; that I wouldn’t.
“Good. And I appreciate ya stayin’ next ta me an’ all, but ya shoulda got betta sleep,” he continued ranting, burning a hole in the floor with his pacing. “What if I had hurt ya in my sleep? What if I woke up an’ panicked? Huh? What then?”
“I-”
“I woulda neva been able to forgive myself if somethin’ had happened ta ya. And then I wake up without a peep from ya and learn ya lost ya job, and ya apartment. That ya haven’ slept or ate. Do ya realize how worried I was?”
I couldn’t help but snap my head up at that tidbit of news.
“And look at ya! Ya turned inta skin an’ bones.”
“It’s not like I was that pretty before…” I muttered under my breath, fiddling with my fingers as I remembered all those times I wore something extra pretty to get a reaction out of him to no avail. I had secretly hoped the last time he would suddenly realize what was in front of him, but then-
Raph stopped dead, fists clenched at his sides, chest heaving as he raked his molten emerald gaze over my form. So much like he used to do when checking for injuries. In less than a beat those same eyes turned sharp as the blade that sliced his arm. “What. Did. You. Just. Say,” he growled out, sounding feral, enunciating every word with the same precision he uses with his sais.
“No-nothin’,” I stuttered out, attempting to sink myself into the back of the couch. Wishing I could disappear as he sauntered his way over, forcing me to meet his furious eyes.
“I don’t eva wanna hear that again. Yer gorgeous. The most beautiful thing I had eva seen. Do ya hear me?”
My heart stopped, mouth gaped, and eyes bulged. If he noticed my shock, he ignored it.
“I’m takin’ full responsability,” he said pointedly as I tried to remember how to breathe. “I’m gonna make sure ya get food in ya. That it stays in ya. An’ that ya get the best sleep of yer life, Swee’heart.”
Suddenly- before I could even process that he planned on becoming my caretaker- he was on his knees before me, arms wrapped around my waist as he set his head in my lap. “I wanted ta run ta ya the moment I heard. I wanted ta knock some sense inta ya. But now that I see ya...I’m neva gonna let ya outta my sight.”
Jackpot.
