ahhh angel, you’ve been missed!! i’m glad to see somewhat of an update from you! also, did i read that right, you’ve been dragged into kpop? because honestly same, well almost.

i was in love with kpop a few years ago, but fell out of it because the groups i was into either disbanded, or some members left which changed the group dynamic entirely. though recently i came across txt, took one look at choi yeonjun’s face, and now he’s all my mind can think about. but it’s been quite fun reverting back to my kpop days tbh, it gives me a boost of serotonin that i can’t get anywhere else. not even through anime + manga.

sorry about that ramble!! just know that diving into kpop is such a trip!! and if you ever feel like too much of a newbie i’d be glad to help you navigate through it. anyways, are there any groups you’re currently into in particular? because i’d love to hear about them!

also maybe it’s just me, but my interest in animanga has slightly waned now that i got back into kpop. i’m in my mid-20s and accepting the fact that i just can’t pour energy into multiple interests simultaneously anymore,,,,

I used to be a kpop fan when I was like 10-13ish? so 2nd gen will forever have a special place in my heart, but I’m literally the exact same! I’ve been much too busy with real life stuff to really comment about RT closing down. But I do just want to take a moment to seriously thank the fandom over the years, especially the AH fandom that was so kind to me and my writing in the past. To everyone who ever left a nice comment on a fic or a nice note in the reblogs, thank you. To everyone who ever shared their work, thank you. I will forever miss the joy and creativity of the fandom coming up with aus and whole worlds, working together on creative projects, cheering each other on when creative works got noticed. I met so many amazing people and made so many friends through RT and for that I am very grateful. I wish the best for every RT employee in finding a way forward and up from here. And to finding friends in the fandom again along the way

Fandom pet peeve: when people pick a character and say, "oh, they did some bad things, they must be morally grey!" With no regard for their actual attitude towards morality, or their mindset during that time and whether it was any different from how they are normally, or the fact that those actions may have been taken a long while ago.

Please, say it with me: moral greyness is not about what things people have done in the past! It's about their relationship with morality, in the present.

...But the attitude people have towards that is scary, and not just for fandom-related reasons. That way of thinking seems to hint that you think that once somebody does something wrong, they can never really be a good person, and it’s all too easy to apply that to real life, too. And that is often the case, if cancel culture is anything to go by.

Accept that people change, that characters change. They’re not irreversibly corrupted if you make the slightest misstep, or even one that’s not so small. Someone can do bad things, grow, reflect, and change as a person, into someone who would not do that. And afterwards, they are not morally grey! They’re someone who did bad things and then learned from them!

(And just for the record – if the character, in the actual events of the story, is a person who acts on their morals and in the best interests of others, and had one period in their backstory when that wasn’t necessarily the case? Or if they were evil and were reformed prior to the events of the story? Yeah, there’s no excuse. If you want to talk about their more dubious actions and say they were morally grey, specify the time period, because that is not who they are in the story itself.)

while a lot of people find enclosed, confined spaces claustrophobic, byan actually finds they feel very safe and comforted in such places. maybe not for extended periods of time or anything, but when it comes to sleeping or taking a bit of time to calm down? they're perfect. especially on those days where they're experiencing hypervigilance, when there's something relieving about knowing that there's no one else with them and knowing that there's only one point of entry — if someone's going to attack them, they know where it'll be coming from.

it's not all that uncommon to find them napping in closets or, to a lesser extent, under beds, or even inside large cupboards if there's enough space. it's been a habit since they were a child, although they couldn't tell you exactly when it started.

#all this to say: u think ur home alone but then u open ur closet & find this little freak curled up asleep on one of the shelves wdyd #I think they genuinely spent a good amount of time in their childhood hiding in closets tbh #they definitely have a handful of experiences of being forcefully removed from them #.......probably been locked inside one at least once too now that I'm thinking about it #which definitely would have put them off the habit for a while out of fear of it happening again #though I think being trapped probably wasn't AS traumatizing as the threats they'd hide in closets from so :x #this uhm. this got darker than I intended. the point is that byan feels safe in enclosed spaces #and if they're having a really bad time trying to sleep or relax and they're getting desperate they'll go sit in a closet.#a small bathroom can work pretty well too tbh #━━ ˟ ⊰ ✰ headcanon ⋮ danger in the fabric of this thing i made.#child abuse cw #just to be safe with a couple of the notes in the tags :x

sending you all my strength and love to power thru this week!! i had a few midterms and assignments this past week and i legit didn’t know how i would survive it. by the end of the week i was really feeling it. and i’m still recovering. i know i did better on somethings than others but i was proud of studying my little booty off regardless

I created a Userstyle for the Chrome/Firefox Stylus Extension that reverts the new dashboard to the old format. This took a lot of tweaking and it's not perfect at all, but if anyone wants it I'll be uploading it soonish now!

You need to have Stylus installed. So if you don't have it:

Install the Stylus Firefox Addon or the Chrome Extension (You can install Chrome Extensions on Edge as well)

Once it's installed into Firefox/Chrome/Edge you can proceed with adding this style or any other.

To add the style, follow the instructions:

Go to this link: https://userstyles.world/style/11286/old-tumblr-dashboard-july-2023

Click on "install".

Style will open a tag with it and in the left side you'll have a button that says "install style", click there. (Step-by-step copied from the lovely dorothyoz39 who wrote this in a reply!) If you don't want the sticky header you can remove the labelled script at the top of the css below /* Sticky Header*/

Only two columns in Masonry view. Unfixable, Tumblr creates columns based on monitor size, if I try adding another column (because it doesn't exist) it just perpetually loads on screen. Tempfix: Zoom out in chrome/firefox and it adds more columns

Search bar doesn't appear on some pages (like viewing a post), this is because Tumblr removed the search bar on those pages completely. Unfixable!

Tumblr has ONCE AGAIN CHANGED THE ACCOUNTS MENU. The menus are now shorter and have less information on them. This is unfortunately permanent. I do not see any way to fix this. Unfixable.

If you want people's icons to stay fixed in place, instead of scrolling with the dashboard add;

.FtjPK .AD_w7 .JZ10N, .RYkKH > .nZ9l5 { top: 0px !important; position: relative !important; }

to the top of the code! You can also create a second userstyle by clicking the 'tumblr.com' part of the link in 'Write new Style' and adding the code in there! That way you don't have to worry about re-adding it when you update.

Solved issues: (Update)

Menus need to be manually closed SOLVED! in V.4 and updated in V.5! The menu & icon WILL scroll with you if you have removed the sticky header CSS, however, clicking anywhere on screen will make the Menu disappear still.

Masonry view in searches is now fixed!

Resized Messenger Chat Box!

NEW UPDATE 16/08/23, 23:55 BST v6.5: Figured out how to reorganise the icons in the header. Let me know if you have any problems with it and make sure to update your Userstyle! Some icons are hidden with Display: Block; you can hide more icons with this method!

v7.0: Fixed the search bar for tumblrs new collections feature, so it looks like the original search bar!

v9.3: Changed a few things with the search feature, I also made the posts less round.

UPDATE2 11/04/2024: SO We mighhtttt have overrun their servers. 😅 I'm getting a 500 Internal Server Error every time I try to fix it or upload it as a new style - the massive influx of people downloading the userstyle was probably too much. The Tampermonkey backup on Greasyfork works just fine though! Probably easier for a lot of people migrating anyway! “‘Rintaro?’ Baby, it was a joke! If I knew it would actually make you upset, I wouldn’t have done it.”

Your eyes are watery and pouty when you look at him, and he blinks down at you expectantly. Then you huff, “of course I’m upset! It’s a sign of disrespect.”

Rintaro groans and squats down in front of you, head moving back and forth to keep his eyes locked on yours as you try to move your own gaze, “baby, I swear, I didn’t mean it, I thought it would make you laugh.”

He never thought hitting your Pompurin plush would have you in such shambles. You’ve been ignoring him all ride with a small grimace on your lips, playing with Pompurin’s arms and tiny feet, sometimes answering questions about what’s on the tag. You’re deadset on ignoring him. It’s destroying him.

With a small sigh, he leans up to try and plant a kiss to your lips, despite the fact that the last thing he’d think you’d want is a kiss. It’s something he knows you adore, though, he hopes you see through your anger to see him.

You do pout out slightly to try and chase his lips, and it fills him with relief.

“It was pretend, baby,” he mumbles, trying to convince you. “I’d never mean to hit him, I was pretending to be mad that he’d take you away from me.”

Well. It was only half pretend.

But you don’t need to know that.

You gently twist pompurin’s ears in your fingers, shrugging and shaking your face from his hands slightly. “You hurt my feelings Rin.”

Once again, he grabs your chin, leaning up to press another kiss to your lips. “I know, baby. I thought it’d be funny.”

“Say you’re sorry.”

“I’m so sorry-“

“Not to me,” you grumble. “To him!” You hold up the new pompurin plush, and Rintaro tucks his lips in his mouth to hide the annoyed sigh that wants to slip out.

Annoyed, albeit still endeared.

Green eyes hyper fixate on the doey eyes of pompurin, smacking his lips and nodding in respect. “I’m sorry, Pompurin. I never should’ve hit you. And I hope you’ll consider forgiving me and taking care of them while I’m at practice.”

In his peripheral, he sees you smile, your fingers shifting to move pompurin’s head to nod.

“Thank you for apologizing,” you say as you lower the new plush animal. “I love you.”

He smirks and leans forward one final time to kiss you, and you giggle in the kiss and toss your arms around his neck.

If he could guarantee you’d always be this affectionate after, he’d playfully smack all your stuffed animals.

A/N: We could all you a bit more affection.

Aventurine absolutely teases you about it. "You gotta build up that tolerance." he says while pulling you to his side, one arm thrown over your shoulders and a mischievous smirk on his lips. Being in public will be good for you, being in his charismatic company, perhaps you even pick up a few things. "How about this, for every game I win I get a kiss. Don't think of them as kisses, more as rewards for your lucky boyfriend."

Boothill is mostly the only one who will see you in this state, flustered, almost panicking. "Damn, all that just from a lil' kiss? How ya gonna handle me doin' more than that I wonder." As he leans in once more, his sharp teeth licked by his tongue you instantly back away and right against his strong arms. "Running from me eh, not on my watch, running is my thing." He dips you down and slowly brings his lips to yours, sighing when you return it.

Caelus gets shy too so he's not one to judge someone else for doing the same. "I like that shy side of you, reminds me of myself. May not seem like it but I freak out about you kissing me all the time." He offers you his hand and when you take it he gives you a big hug, waiting until you relax against him. "We can take things slowly. I'm here for you."

Dan Heng thinks it's a human thing that you react in such a way. To him it's not odd, it's rather endearing. "I would never tease you for those reactions, my darling. Are they embarrassing for you?" He doesn't understand why but he won't push you to tell him until you're ready for it. Can't hold back from kissing you regardless, "If I keep telling you you're cute maybe you it can be easier." The smile he gives you is enough to make you flustered all over again.

Sunday hides your flustered face from anyone who might be around you. "No one will see you, it's alright. I apologize if I crossed a boundary and made you uncomfortable. I won't kiss you like that again." That's not what you want at all but you're too shy to say it now, you wait until you're alone. "Now you want a kiss. Ah, I understand, not in public then." Kisses will happen only in private.

Veritas Ratio repeats the same kiss again, he wants to make sure you'd react in the same way as before. "Does my kiss cause you to be come so embaressed? Yet, I can tell you enjoy it. Let's try it again, one more time." Being smart doesn't help him in this case, there's no way you can tell him not to kiss you, you welcome it ever time but when it looks like he's not stopping you wrap your arms around him to stop him from doing it again, "Had enough of me already?"

Welt thinks he's done something wrong when you pull back so suddenly. "I'm sorry, was that not okay? I've noticed you always pull back when I kiss you." It takes a lot to explain to him that it's not his fault, it's the way you are with any kind of physical affection he gives you, surely he noticed. "So that's what that was. I was under the impression I was making you uncomfortable. I'm glad that's not the case.

TOJI FUSHIGURO is the fattest tease there ever is if he ever sees you hiding your moans. he would immediately grab your hands, a laugh erupting from him once he sees you hide your noises. in response, he would pummel into you, faster and harder eliciting several inappropriate sounds from you and this time you can’t hide them from him. your voice only turns hin even more on. his hand still clutching yours, he’d bring his face closer to yours until he’s only a mere breath away and he’d kiss you, deep and ferociously like the man he is. his other hand trailing down the curves of your body causing you to moan and gasp into his mouth. you can feel the smile grazing his lips. ‘‘aw, hiddin’ from me, are ya? let me here ya again, doll…’’
