Hey !
🌹
So I read this Jimin one-shot or drabble(idk) looooooooong time ago in which he writes random entries in his diary/journal and when OC asks him about this he answers that it's very predictable to keep it organised according to the date and time it was written ???? Like he thinks it's very boring if he already knows what happens in the next entry??? Also they had problems/argument at some point so it's kinda angsty but not too much ????
This is so vague I know 😭😭 but do you(or anybody) happen to know this story??
Pairing - Jimin x OC (established relationship)
Genre - angst fluff idk 😩
❤️
🌷 Hmmm sounds like this fic I did a reaction to, a few weeks ago or maybe it was months ago. Could you let us know if it's the one? If not, hmm perhaps other details you remember would help.
Edit: It is Oneirophrenia by @bratkook. Thank you mochi13 for confirming =)

Gone but not Forgotten: HousePsych's Onyroid Page
The oneiroid webpage seems to have died... 🙁 luckily, I archived it and saved a copy!
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Oneiroid is an illusory perception of reality, accompanied by a dream-like disorientation with the presence of dreamy unfolded fantastic pictures, pseudo-hallucinatory experiences that intertwine with the phenomenon up to its absolute replacement. With oneiroid, spatio-temporal disorientation (often a loss of orientation in the personality) varies somewhat from stunning (manifested by a lack of orientation) and amentia (found in a steady futile search for orientation).
The patient with onyroid takes part in the experienced pseudo-hallucinatory reality. The following typical signs of a neuroid can be distinguished: disorientation, transformation of the subject of perception, modification of the self. This pathology develops in stages, it is accompanied by emotional-volitional and motor failures, dysfunction of thinking and speech disorder.
Oneroi - what is it?
The pathology under consideration is expressed in a qualitative disorder of consciousness. Also, oneiroid this in psychology is a dream disorder, in addition, it can also be called a dream-like disorder.
Oneeroid is characterized by the absolute detachment of patients from the environment, a change in I up to its transformation. Their experiences have a fantastic content, they are rarely mundane, unfold in the form of alternating unreal scenes.
Onyroid cannot be attributed to syndromes specific to a specific ailment. Its etiology is due to both exogenous factors and endogenous factors. You can talk about the endogenous nature in the absence of the phenomenon of intoxication and signs of any clinically important organ dysfunctions.
Clouding of consciousness according to the oneiric type is like a waking dream. It manifests itself in a clouding of consciousness, coupled with an influx of involuntarily arising representations of fantastic content. Figurative representations of patients always have an internal projection. In other words, with onyroid, the prevalence of pseudo-hallucinatory phenomena, unusually colorful and unusual, is detected, which distinguishes it from delirium. The environment is perceived as specially tuned as if a "performance" is being played.In addition, spatial-temporal disorientation is noted. So, for example, the patient realizes that he is in a medical institution and at the same time considers himself the commander of a spacecraft crossing the galactic expanses, and he perceives the surrounding medical staff and other patients as fellow astronauts.
What is oneiric syndrome? The behavior of a patient in a one-neyroid clouding of consciousness contrasts with his unrealistic pseudo-hallucinatory symptoms. The patient usually lies motionless, his eyes are covered, sometimes he makes smooth “flying” movements with his hands, observing his own adventures, as if from the side. There is also a violation of awareness of one's own age and perception of time. An individual may seem to have been in flight for several years. Sometimes an individual suffering from a neuroid can wander, smiling thoughtfully. In this case, sometimes the patient to persistent inquiries can tell some of his fantastic paintings of imagination .
Upon leaving the state of an onyroid attack, the individual retains memories of his own fantastic ideas, and the actual events during this attack, on the contrary, are forgotten.
Causes of Onyroid
The main factor generating a neuroid is considered heredity. If someone from the patient’s inner circle is diagnosed with psychosis with concomitant hallucinations and stupefaction or schizophrenia, then most likely the cause of the ailment in question is precisely heredity. But if the described abnormalities were not found in the family, then the oneiroid can be provoked by intense emotional experiences that prompted him to escape from reality into an illusory world.
In addition, the considered syndrome can also be triggered by physical factors, for example, head trauma, epipressures, poisoning with pharmacopeia drugs.
It should be noted that usually oneiric syndrome is a manifestation of recurrent or catatonic schizophrenia . Therefore, if the mental disorder became the cause of the described onyroid syndrome, the manifestations of the disease can last several days or even months.
In addition to these factors, the development of a neuroid can provoke:
- acute intoxication processes caused by the abuse of psychoactive drugs or narcotic drugs, as well as substances similar in purpose to the use of narcotic drugs (glue, acetone);
- exposure to certain drugs used for general anesthesia;
- a variety of infectious processes of bacterial etiology or viral genesis, passing with hyperthermia and intoxication;
- poisoning with alcohol-containing liquids;
- encephalitis of various nature;
- epilepsy , accompanied by the development of psychoses or mental convulsive seizures equivalent to epiprides;
- non-infectious genesis of organ pathology, accompanied by serious vascular disorders or changes in metabolic processes (myocardial infarction, renal and hepatic lesions with the formation of insufficiency of function);
- immune disorders (lupus erythematosus);
- endocrine dysfunctions (diabetes, adrenogenital syndrome, Addison's disease);
- heavily current pellagra;
- malignant neoplasms of various localization, if they lead to intoxication and cachexia.
Often, oneiric syndrome is a sign of somatogenic psychosis. It occurs due to the formation of encephalopathy of vascular genesis or intoxication etiology with a lot of severely ongoing somatic ailments. In an infectious process, the cause of impaired consciousness is often a diffuse lesion of neurons, the occurrence of toxic swelling of nerve structures, or interruptions in the microcirculation of the brain.
Symptoms and signs of a neuroid
In the debut of the development of the onyroid state, the patient’s mood becomes unstable, often increased or decreased. These affective disorders are accompanied by insomnia, alternating with colorful dreams. Patients suffer from fear of madness. With the addition of mental disorders, disorders of the emotional sphere become brighter, vegetative dysfunctions appear: algias in the myocardium, headaches, loss of appetite.
Gradually, with the escalation of affective disorders, delusions appear. As a rule, there is an unsystematic delirium of hypochondriacal content, delirium of persecution or death. Then he is inherited by the delirium of the double, either positive, in which the patient begins to consider the people around him as a familiar person who changes his appearance, or negative, in which the patient thinks that someone from his family or himself was replaced by a double.
After that, the clinical symptomatology of the neuroid begins to be dominated by imaginative nonsense of fantastic content, transforming into antagonistic nonsense (Manichaean), which in structure is similar to mystical. The patient feels himself at the epicenter of the battle of the army of good and the forces of evil. The army of good (angels, “good” aliens) “sends” him positive hallucinations, and the army of evil (“evil” aliens, devils) sends negative messages. A patient suffering from a Manichaean type of delirium is often dangerous for the environment and his own person.
In the future, fantasies begin to suppress reality, the patient becomes a full-fledged actor in his own pseudo-hallucinations. With partial contact with reality, the patient can perform some motor acts that correspond to the nature of pseudo-hallucinations, but the activity of his level, characteristic of delirium , does not reach. With the loss of contact with reality, the patient refuses what is happening, goes into a catatonic stupor, does not react to the surrounding reality. Regardless of maintaining contact with reality, the patient's activity in his hallucinations exceeds the level of his liveliness in reality.
Most often, oneiroid is an emotional disturbance. And above all, the lability of emotions arises. Sometimes there is also a one-sided modification of emotions, distortion of negative emotions or emotions of positive content. There is a disorder of dreams: insomnia, alternating with vivid dreams. There is a fear in the patient to lose his mind. Later joins nonsense.
A kind of onyroid is due to the predominance of a certain affect , as a result of which its depressive form and expansive are distinguished. The first is characterized by apathy , powerlessness, anxiety, irritability , powerlessness, the second - by a sense of admiration, disheartened, insight.
Dysfunctions of the emotional sphere are accompanied by autonomic dysfunctions: loss of appetite, head and heart. Typical signs of an onyroid are disruptions in the affective region along with motor impairments.
As described above, the considered oneiric state is characterized by the presence of delirium, the essence of which is determined by the nature of pseudo-hallucinations. The delusional state grows gradually, after dysfunctions of the emotional sphere.
First, a delirious mood arises, which is delirium of death, persecution, hypochondriacal delirium. Partial disorientation appears.
Then there is a delusion of dramatization, accompanied by phenomena of symbolism. Here the delirium of a double of positive or negative is characteristic. At the described stage, psychic automatisms, verbal affective illusions , less often verbal hallucinations may appear. They are replaced by the paraphrenic stage, accompanied by the phenomena of first imaginative retrospective fantastic content of delirium, and then of Manichaean delirium. Here, the individual’s self-awareness is still preserved.
Oneiric hallucinations are fantastic. Dreaming in this disorder is not characterized by the presence of projection outside. They unfold within the mind, in the personal mental space. Therefore, they are considered not genuine hallucinosis, but pseudo-hallucinations. The images experienced by the patient are colorful, often of a fantastic orientation. Visual pictures, more often, resemble scenes, are associated with a certain storyline.
Despite the patient’s participation directly in the situations experienced by him, psychomotor agitation is unusual for a neuroid. Patients suffering from the described pathology, on the contrary, are more often numb. They are estranged from reality, facial expressions are like “frozen”, monotonous. Catatonic disturbances are not excluded. At the same time, there is a mismatch between the patient’s behavioral pattern in a real world and in a fantasy world invented by him, where he is an active figure.
The described phenomenon distinguishes oneiroid from delirium, characterized by increased activity of the subject, which is likely to cause self-harm or harm to the environment.
In addition to the listed symptoms, with onyroid, attention disorders are also noted, its absent-mindedness, and memory are characteristic. Memory impairment is manifested in amnesia . An individual who exits from an experienced state may not remember real events.
Classification and stages of development of a neuroid
The modern classification of ailments does not contain the term “oneiroid”, since it is not considered a separate ailment, but is a kind of qualitative clouding of consciousness. Oneroi is included in the concept of “delirium”.
Onyroid in psychology is considered a special variation of impaired consciousness.
According to the classification proposed by academician A. Snezhnevsky, the oneiroid is distributed according to the following signs, namely: orientation in events of reality and by nature and prevailing affect.
In their turn, depending on the orientation, they actually distinguish: a dreamlike and fantastically illusory oneiric syndrome. The first is characterized by a change in the self of the individual . It is characterized by the patient's complete detachment from external reality and his immersion in events that occur in the imagination. Secondly, fragments of reality are mixed with fantastic unreal figurative paintings.
Depressive onyroid and expansive are distinguished depending on the nature and dominant affect.
According to Demanova’s classification, onyroid states are divided into four variations: dreamlike (complete detachment from the outside world, immersion in imaginary events), stage-hallucinatory (is a consequence of schizophrenic delirium, sometimes senile dementia , fantastic hallucinations are noted), fantastic-illusory (occurs with schizophrenia, accompanied by a kaleidoscopic mixture of delirium and reality), dream-oriented (a consequence of psychoses that arose due to toxic damage I have brain structures).
Classical onyroid goes through certain stages of development: autonomic dysfunctions, general somatic pathologies, delusional disorder, depersonalization and derealization , onyroid catatonia .
At the initial stage, affective disorders are detected. Its duration can be weeks, or even months, due to the etiological factor. It is characterized by an escalation of emotional symptoms.
The period of crazy ideas is quite short - from a couple of hours to several days. The disease at the described stage speaks of itself through paranoid tendencies and by increasing emotional tension.
Delusions of dramatization can be observed longer (up to a month). It is manifested by illusory phenomena and detachment syndrome.
Paraphrenic delusions , the duration of which is no more than a few days, are inherent in the oriented onyroid stage.
True onyroid is considered the shortest stage. Therefore, it is on it that the detailed symptoms of a mental disorder are noted. After that, the clinical manifestations of the neuroid are minimized until they disappear.
Diagnosis and treatment of onyroid
Diagnosis of the described disease is carried out according to the clinical picture, and the family history, conditions of the patient’s vital activity and the ailments that he previously suffered are also taken into account. In order to identify the etiological factor, it is necessary to conduct a complete examination using laboratory tests and instrumental methods.
To confirm the diagnosis, it is necessary to differentiate onyroid with onyrism - a disorder of consciousness manifested by a violation of dreams. Onyrism arises due to a severe infectious process or a burn disease. It is characterized by the interweaving of reality in the consciousness of the subject with dreams. However, with onyrism, hallucinations and illusions of a fantastic content are absent, in contrast to the oneiric syndrome.
Almost always, treatment of a neuroid requires hospitalization.
If the disease was the result of drug abuse, a consequence of chemical intoxication or alcohol poisoning, detoxification urgent measures are taken. If the diagnosis revealed severe vascular pathologies, endocrine dysfunctions, infectious processes, then it is mainly necessary to treat these pathologies, since it was they that could give rise to the violation in question.
In order to eliminate the manifestations of the directly onyroid syndrome, the appointment of nootropics is shown, the action of which is aimed at stimulating memory, improving brain activity, and adjusting the functioning of the autonomic system. In addition, antipsychotics are actively used, which have an impact on the central nervous system. The purpose of their appointment is to eliminate hallucinations, stop delusional states, restore constancy of emotions.
Treatment of a neuroid in extreme circumstances, when antipsychotics and nootropics have proven to be ineffective, involves the use of electroconvulsive therapy. However, the effect of this method requires further study. Moreover, the effectiveness of this procedure has been repeatedly proven during the use in the treatment of depersonalization, hallucinatory syndromes and suicidal conditions.
To prevent the development of the onyroid syndrome, it is recommended to exclude the use of drugs, abuse of alcohol-containing fluids, try to avoid head injuries, be examined annually, timely eliminate organ dysfunctions, and develop stress resistance.

Art Weekend - Untitled (Oneirophrenia) by Tim Silver
In his Oneirophrenia series, Tim Silver fills traditional bust sculptures with raw bread dough. When the dough rises it breaks through the plaster in organic, natural patterns. These random and uncontrolled changes against a traditional symbol, such as that of a classical bust, is a depiction of physical impermanence. To capture this fleeting moment, Silver later casts the figure into concrete.

FFXIV Write 2021 Masterpost
Better late than never. 2021 was the first year I participated in FFXIV Write. A lot of these stories are non-canonical, as I use FFXIV Write events as a chance to feel things out and try to see whether or not some early thoughts of mine will gel and/or stick. They still have a special place in my heart though and I am rather fond of all of them.
Also this is where it all began.
Foster: An early attempt to make an entry point for Nyx. Didn't stick, but is sort~of moving in the right direction.
Aberrant: More Nyx hours. I feel better about this one, and will probably keep it as part of their canon. Maybe in November? But I digress.
Scale: A Dragonsong war haiku
Baleful: A poem about primals
An extra credit day (unused)
Avatar: One of the first things I ever wrote for Zoissette; her speech patterns would change as I refined her, her behaviour and personality only shifted slightly. Also, arguably the beginning of the end for me.
Speculate: And Klynt's (who belongs to @saesama) first appearance. This is a dumb conversation (affectionate).
Adroit: A story in which we take a brief look into a day in the life of the true hero of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.
Friable: Urianger knows how fragile all possible futures are.
Heady: Nyx in their element, before they have to fulfill their purpose.
Preaching to the choir: Zoissette deals with the inquisition.
An extra credit day (unused)
Oneirophrenia: An Echo awakening; written for Nyx, but I eventually decided it was non-canonical for them. I still really like what I did here, and may find a way to repurpose it one of these days.
Commend: A short bit between Tataru and Zoissette, cleaning up after a banquet.
Thunderous: Nyx defends their scientists. I swear I keep coming back to this in my unfinished works, refining it, wanting to leave it alone but I can't. This is the first original form though. How it'll eventually wind up, I do not yet know.
Crane: A short bit between Zoissette and Klynt. Despite its shortness, I feel it really helps establish the tenor of their relationship.
Destruct: The arc of the life of Fordola rem Lupis.
Devil's Advocate: I will finish this one day. Zoissette sure is having a day in Ishgard.
An extra credit day (unused)
Petrichor: The first day of the rest of Nyx's life. This one I know I intend to rewrite.
Feckless: Zoissette flirts with danger. I did not know it at the time, but this is where the keel was laid.
Fluster: I feel like we settled on this being non-canon? But this is a funny story we made up to justify Klynt and Zoissette having an in-game wedding (@saesama wanted the two-seater chocobo)
Soul: A glance at Zoissette's particular Echo quirk. A look into all her possible pasts.
Illustrious: Zoissette absolutely hates being the center of attention, and Klynt is not at all helpful about that.
Silver Lining: More possible Nyx backstory, but tangled and mixed up. The scientist names are wrong here.
An extra credit day (unused)
Benthos: Nyx explored the underwater areas around Doma, and delights in what they find. Oh, and maybe delayed an attempted rebellion. This is also where they first pick up the moniker that would eventually become their adopted last name.
Bow: Stephanivien enlists Zoissette to the machinest cause. Unfortunately, I myself never quite took to the job.
Debonair: The Thancred Five Girlfriend Trainwreck Pileup
Abstracted: What is Zoissette, anyroad?
Side Abstraction: I used Nyx's POV to build upon one of @saesama's FFXIV write entries. Nyx wishes people were more predictable.

Putting my disorders in my bio but outdated ones. I have oneirophrenia. I have depressive personality disorder. I have melancholia.

Guhh is it normal when you like, daydream or night-dream (lmao) about doing something or something happening that COULD happen irl but didn't but you think it did so you don't do that thing even though you have to because you thought you did or the opposite where you do something but you forget or think it was a dream so you just. Forget it happened. Is this dissociation
It is not dissociation, but the inability to tell reality from dreams is sometimes considered a potential consequence of dissociation. It's associated with other disorders as well (e.g. maladaptive daydreaming, oneirophrenia, borderline personality disorder, narcolepsy...), though it may not be a disordered experience at all if it occurs only a few times and infrequently. If you have other symptoms of dissociation, then yes, this may be caused by your dissociation! If this is a big problem for you, then if you don't already, I'd suggest keeping some form of diary, journal, or log of important information or events so you have something to refer to when you're unsure of if something happened or not :)

FFXIV22: 1- Cross
For this year’s FFXIV Write Month, I will be doing stories exclusively about Y’zareen’s time in the Void. These are connected to the stories:
The Obsidian Labyrinth
Foster Aberrant Scale Baleful Avatar Adroit Friable Heady Preaching to the Choir Oneirophrenia Commend (sequel to Oneirophrenia) Thunderous Crane
While they do jump around in the timeline, they are memories (or “Meanwhile, elsewhere”s) that Y’zareen is slowly and carefully uncovering as she begins to go through The Obsidian Labyrinth. This is based on headcanon that was created prior to the 6.X patches/series so may not perfectly jive with official canon. Due to the nature of the Void, many of these stories will feature disturbing content. Content Warnings will be tagged and posted at the top of each entry. Please enjoy!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cross
((No Content Warnings))
The Queen Mother of the Court of Fleshly Delights, also called the Dark Court of Delights, also called “that domain of sick, deviant abominations live”, was stalking back and forth, back and forth, the sound of her many legs clicking on stone floors then muffled by deep-piled rugs was louder than it would have been naturally, driven by her consternation. That creature and all her delicious aether, all her power, had not yet yielded. She was not thriving, this much was true. Her time among the hunting beasts had changed her, made her more feral, more predatory… but the Queen Mother knew that the cunning behind those green eyes had been there long before the woman had landed in her domain. If that… that… well, she couldn’t remember who exactly had given her the idea to throw the woman to the hunting beasts, but once she remembered she would make them pay for making the woman a potentially more dangerous foe.
As she paced and seethed, the Crimson King, who was both her consort and her most deadly foe, opened the door to her private rooms and waltzed in without knocking. He had an insolent smile on his face under that wide-brimmed hat as he took in the destruction she had created before speaking.
“So, then, what’s all this?”
The Queen Mother rounded on him and pointed two arms and a leg at him. “Get out! Unless you have something useful to tell me, get the fuck out!”
She couldn’t tell, his face aside from his glowing red eyes was in shadow, but she had the distinct impression that he had raised an eyebrow. Before she could strike out, though, he swept into a deep, courtly bow that saw him removing his hat before rising to look at her clearly with those impossibly beautiful features. Damn him. Desire seized her, as it always did, and she knew he saw it as his eyes glowed more brightly.
“I do have…several ‘useful’ things for you, majesty, that I will be happy to remind you of shortly. However, I also have news. The Commander General, to whom you bequeathed the slave recently, is reportedly very cross. While he has seen nothing outwardly rebellious in the creature, he has suspicions that you granted her to him as some kind of trick.” He said, his expression bemused.
The Queen Mother crossed her arms, all of them, and snorted. “Of course I did. He’s a fool to think a gift from me would ever be anything else.” Pausing, she mused. “Plant the idea in his household that he should be more harsh on her. Push her. I want to know if he is strong enough to make her break where the Houndmaster could not.”
“Your will be done, majesty, as ever.” The King moved to replace his hat and half-turned.
“Wait.”
When he looked back, it was with a devious smirk and his free hand raising to tug the cravat at his neck loose.

Oh, and yeah, to clarify, the way our type of vakalomorphy functions it's kinda like the non-clinical equivalent of oneirophrenia.
Like... you know how psychics are seen as the non-clinical equivalent of schizophrenics, mediums are the non-clinical equivalent of DID, and p-shifters are the non-clinical equivalent of clinical lycanthropes? Our variant of vakalomorphy is like the non-clinical variant of oneirophrenia, for lack of a better word (and a massive oversimplification). We generally don't really care for the psych version of our conditions (because we're not clinical) but if we need info on how a certain process might present, sometimes it's helpful to go back to standard research.
Unfortunately most of it is behind paywalls, so we're often relying on ourselves for most of the info anyway 🙃

FFxivWrite Entry #13: Oneirophrenia
Tumblr media
FFxivWrite 2021 Prompt #13: Oneirophrenia The Void was an endless, empty abyss of darkness, bereft of any aether and any life beyond the warped creatures aimlessly skittering around the ravaged ruins of a civilization that once was. The fearsome beasts of the thirteenth shard were seldom bothered to waste any precious energy fighting among themselves, but one never knew when a Voidsent might find itself starved and deranged enough to attack its kin for the promise of even the smallest spark of aether. The weak did not survive. Fortunately, Shadiyah could hold her own against most foes.
She had never particularly resented her time spent in the Void before. What difference did it make to be wasting away in misery in the Void or upon any other shard? The only downsides were the gnawing hunger and the absolute boredom, but compared to having to deal with people and all their pretenses and all the noise and trouble they brought, was that really so bad? The Voidsent made better neighbors, all things considered.
But things were different now. Now she had a reason to be upon the Source and not trapped in this hellish wasteland. Every moment spent stuck in the Void was another fleeting moment or more lost on the Source, the clock ticking against her. She had no way of knowing how time was flowing between the two shards, much as she had no exit until a rift might appear and she would find herself fighting against all the other ravenous monsters of the Void vying to escape. And so, like them, she wandered directionlessly, stumbling over the wreckage. She couldn’t remember the last ray of light she’d seen, or more importantly, the last morsel of aether she’d consumed. It was a ravenous hunger that consumed every part of her, mind and body, until she struggled to think of anything else. Starved and alone in the empty hellscape of blackness, it was difficult to keep a grip on reality. How many Voidsent had she fended off? How far had she roamed, searching for a glimpse of light? She had no idea how much time had passed since her arrival. She wondered how much more she must endure before she might find a way out. It was then she saw something in the nothingness that made her stop in her tracks, a familiar silhouette in the nothingness, tall and dark, black hair cascading to his shoulder, violet eyes cutting through the shadows. “Master,” she gasped, sinking down to her knees upon the dirt. He strode toward her, bending down to grasp her chin in his hand as the Miqo’te peered up at him. “So you were pathetic enough not only to be struck down, but to get yourself trapped here. Then again, I suppose it is where you belong,” came the familiar voice, coloring the words all the more cruel. She winced, smacking his hand away from her face. “No! I belong with you!” “With me? What makes you think that I want you by my side? That you deserve to be there?” he asked, arching one eyebrow as he gazed down at her. “Did you think I want you back? That I came here to rescue you?” “But… but I thought--” she stammered, feline ears drooping. “Thought what? That you were something more to me than a tool to further my ends? More than a lab experiment I found some, mm… extra uses for?” “Yes!” Shade growled, pushing herself to her feet. “You know that I am more than that!” “Yes, perhaps you’re right. A leech on my aether. A thorn in my side. A tax on my time and patience. Does that sound better?” he asked, glowering down at her. “Master!” she hissed, reaching forward to grasp his sleeve, but he shook her off and knocked her away back onto the dirt. “You believe I am in love with you because I fucked you? Haven’t you learned by now? Did you really think it would be different this time? That I wouldn’t get bored of you just like all the others?” he began to pace a circle around the woman as he interrogated her. “You prrromised!” she snarled. “This is not real! You are not real!” “I am as real as can be, my dearheart. Did you truly believe you could keep my attention?” his deep voice carried a mocking note of pity. “Who could ever care for you? You are nothing.” “Stop it! Go away!” her ears folded, palms pressing over them, flattening them to her skull. “You don’t belong in my world. You don’t belong anywhere,” his words somehow rang clear despite her attempts to muffle them, his face void of any emotion save for the disgust and disdain he felt for her. “We would all be better off if you ceased to exist, don’t you think so, my dearest?” Shadiyah squeezed her eyes shut, shaking her head, anything to block him out. “You are not him! You are not real! Leave me!” She gave up her vain efforts to silence his words, her hands slipping down instead to wrap her arms around herself, fingers digging into her shoulders, tearing the skin. “There is nothing I have wanted more, my Mistress.” When her eyes snapped open, there was no trace of the man left behind, and she scrambled to where he had once stood, grabbing only a handful of sand. “Melifce… do not leave me here,” her whimpering plea went unheard.

Prompt 13: Oneirophrenia
Emerging from the surface of the ceruleum filled vat, Chris gasped for air as the volitile fuel permeated his body. Ingesting a potentially fatal amount is rather easy, so sudden immersion within the vats is almost certain death. But the young teen found strength to swim to the surface and the edge, his friend with him struggling to stay afloat as well could not and he sank below the surface. Chris was not to fall this day as he pulled himself from the vat and out, falling a considerable distance to the ground, a blue wet splash as he his the dirt.
The Garlean soldier on duty to guard the ceruleum tanks watched on as one of the two he pushed in would emerge and laughed at the boy, citing that he got what he deserved for trespassing.
Chris heard nothing but the garbled noise of horrible hallucinations at the deep soak and inhalation of the fuel. His white hair and yellow eyes began to turn a deep blue and green respectively as the ceruleum permeated his body. Everything in his sight was a blur and contorted image, every sound muffled and distorted, getting worse and worse by the second as his skin began to purple. Crawling away from the vats, in his delusional mind he was certain he was calling for help, but only thing to come out were gutteral sounds and groans.
The guard watched on with amusement at the young Ala Mhigan boys suffering, but his face turned to disgust an Ala Mhigan man came running from just around the bend nearby.
"Christoff! Son! Hang on boy!" His father, a tall and stout man, grabbed his son, his body spasming and limbs flailing as if he was still trying to crawl, like a autonomous flight response. With a glow from his hands, his father began to esuna the poisoning from his son as quickly and powerfully as he was able. The guard aware shouting at him to cease at once in the name of the Emperor. Ala Mhigan in birth, conscripted citizens due to pledged fealty to the Emperor, but despite being ordered, he refuses to acknowledge the demand and continues to do what he can to purge the ceruleum poisoning from his son.
"Hang on, please! Come what may, I will not give up and you can't either. Fight son. Please!" Tears in the fathers eyes as a bullet richochets off the ground nearby, a warning shot from the guards gunblade and another verbal demand to halt. Both of which were ignored.
Slowly the bluing of his skin began to dissipate returning his skin to a more normal color. The spell starting to strain as the constant flow of aether was taxing. But he did not yield. Chris was able to focus slightly better as the toxin left his body and the first clear image he was able to see was his fathers smile and sudden painful expression as the guards gunblade pierced his chest.
"Under penalty of disobedience, your sentence is death." The guard was far too happy to speak those words as several rounds were fired into his chest killing him near instantly.
The healing wave stopped and as the blade was removed, blood poured out onto Chris's body as his father slumped over him. The guard looked on seeing Chris was still dangerously close to death and figured to let him suffer during his thought to be believed last moments.
----------
Twenty five years later as Chris shaves the blue beard stubble from his chin, green eyes looking in the mirror, he looks at his clean shaven face and stares a moment. Exhaling as a memory he didn't care for surfaced he left the wash room and found a bottle of whiskey, drinking directly from it. "Thank you dad." He raises the bottle in the air.
