Xaden fills the doorway like some kind of dark, avenging angel, the messenger of the queen of the gods. He’s fully dressed, his face a mask of veritable rage as shadows curl from the walls on either side of him, hanging in midair.
when xaden comes to save violet from the unbonded, he's described as "the messenger of the queen of the gods".
(...) a woman with a full pack, whose high cheekbones and oval face remind me of renderings of Amari, the queen of the gods.
in rhiannon's description, we learn that the queen of the gods is called amari.
Her eyes widen as her gaze sweeps over the town, each structure with its identical green roofs, then pauses on the Temple of Amari, which was the most noted landmark besides our library.
in xaden's pov, when violet wakes up after brennan mends her, she instantly guesses she's in aretia because she sees amari's temple.
xaden is from aretia.
which is known for the temple of amari, the queen of the gods.
and he's been going to aretia to deliver news from basgiath for the rebellion, as well as help rebuild it.
he's quite literally the messenger of the queen of the gods.
MC: Nullification. They nullify/“erase” the ability of anybody they touch.
Mav: Power Mimicry. Basically the opposite of the MC! He can “absorb” the powers of anybody he touches. He has “absorbed” around 25 abilities by the beginning of the game.
Carmen: Adaptation. Her body naturally adapts to any environment! Think Darwin from Marvel.
Silas: Density Control. It’s pretty self explanatory. He can manipulate the density of anything he touches.
Payton: Mental Control. Stuff like empathy, telepathy, persuasion, etc.
Juno: Healing. She can heal/fix practically any injury as long as the person isn’t dead.
Amari: Technopathy! Basically electricity/technology control. Kinda like Katai from BSD.
Been on a Sun Haven kick and wanted to draw this version of farmer Gaius. He's just a normal dog Amari, totally not actually a human. Just ignore that collar with his name engraved on it that he never removes. Don't mind him suddenly leaving the city for mysterious reasons. And definitely don't mind how disappears for like a day each month and the stray brown dog you might see around his farm. Just totally normal things with no implied TF going on. :)
so we don't know much about the gods in fourth wing, we actually only know four
amari, queen of the gods (whose statues rhiannon resembles; the one whose temple is specific to aretia, the capital of tyrrendor; the one whose "messenger" xaden is described as once which i'll post separately about)
malek, god of death (everything belonging to the deceased should be burned in his name or he will be unleash his wrath upon them)
dunne, goddess of strength and war
zihnal, god of luck
so... are they real in this world? because tairn calls them "puny" (weak) and says dragons don't pay attention to them, which to me isn't a "they don't exist", it's a "dragons don't play by the human rules because they're so strong"
While I’m drawing Amari’s big reference sheet and her canon story, I want to draw something simple and nice with them in between.🥰
And yes! I changed her tattoos, I finally drew the design of her sleeves, but you’ll be able to see them completely when I’m done with the reference sheet. There will be a lot of interesting stuff there!
Amari refers to an unspecified or general feeling of attraction. This can refer to someone who chooses not to distinguish different types of attraction, does not prioritize any one kind of it, or otherwise, or it may refer to those who simply feel a sense of unspecified and/or general attraction and/or ‘love’ in some kind of way.
It can be considered its own form of attraction depending on who uses it, and can be called “amari attraction,” “amarous attraction,“ or "ama attraction” if the user wishes. Amari can be used alongside other forms of attraction using the split-attraction-model. Those who exclusively have amarous attraction may or may not consider themselves aspec, depending on why they’re using the term and if they personally feel it fits them.
Amarity is the full term describing “amari-ness,” (like asexuality or aromanticism), and ama is the shortened form of the term (like ace, aro, apl, etc.) Amarous may be used as an adjective (ex: amarous relationship, amarous attraction.)
Amari “crushes” can be called a tresh, or rush- though, some amari people might be comfortable just using crush, squish, or any other term.
Users may partake in something like relationship anarchy, or be amatopunk. This could be considered an amatopunk or relationship-anarchy oriented form of attraction for some people. Those who are amatopunk or relationship anarchists may intentionally choose to be amarous for political, social, or other reasons.
The suffix for amarous terms is “-mari,“ and can be used after any orientation prefix, like homomari, heteromari, bimari, and panmari. No two amarous relationships have to function in the same way.
