Cell Block Tango
Tumblr media
Dancer!Au and College!Au
When your all-girls dance studio comes together with an all-boys dance studio that your boyfriend just happens to go to. Tension rises when a new performance creates problem between you and your partner and your boyfriend
Words- 4274
Katsuki Bakugo x Reader, Shoto Todoroki x Reader (Platonic), Ochaco Uraraka x Izuku Midoriya
A/N: Here is the dance I used as reference Cell Block Tango
You all hit your poses as the music finished, clapping soon followed from the rest of the girls. You all sagged from your poses standing up, you looked over to your teacher Ms. Midnight, one of the best teachers at U.A dance studio.
“Great job again girls, take a quick 5-minute break before we talk about something.” She clapped her hands together and you went to grab your water from your bag.
“That was the best performance we had for that dance.” Ashido smiled, taking a drink from her water bottle.
“I don’t know how you do that bend Y/n but it is literally jaw-dropping.” Uraraka looked over to you, wiping the sweat off her forehead.
“It’s really nothing, just practice. Kendo you need to teach me how to do that twirl at the end it is so cool.” You gushed sitting down stretching out your legs. You guys kept talking to each other when the door to the studio opened and walked in boys.
“Are they from Mr. Aizawa’s class,” Yaoyorozu asked as the rest of the boys came in standing on the other side of the studio. Your eyes locked on your boyfriend, Bakugo and you sent him a smile.
“Ooo look it’s lover boy.” Uraraka hip-bumped you making you push her away laughing
“Don’t act all innocent I see you eyeing Midoriya.” Your tease and her face went red.
“Alright everyone get together.” Your teacher called you together with the boy’s teacher as well.
“As you can see the boys from Mr. Aizawa’s class had joined us for this year’s festival, and we decided to have some of the girls with the boys.” Ms. Midnight said looking over the group,
“We are choosing some of our best dancers from each group to represent us.” Mr. Aizawa said, making all of you nervous. The yearly dance festival was a big deal with made agents looking for new recruits and it is a great achievement to get accepted into one of their schools.
“The song the selected will be performing is the Cell Block Tango.” Ms. Midnight said making everyone excited, that song was a very risque song to dance to and would be able to show off your skills.
“The list is posted on the board.” Mr. Aizawa said and you all made your way up to it.
“Maybe, we’ll be partnered up,” Bakugo said, giving you a smirk.
“You wish pretty boy.” You gave him a smile reading the list. You saw you were dancing as Liz with other parts, you looked at the section for partners and saw Shoto Todoroki.
“I guess we’re partners.” A voice said, making you turn to see the boy with split hair.
“Yeah, aren’t you the guys who had that really crazy contemporary dance last year right?” You knew you saw his face somewhere, he nodded
“Yep I’ve seen some of your routines you’re really talented.” He said and you blushed, an arm wrapped around your waist
“Yeah she’s really talented right babe.” Bakugo emphasized on babe warning the boy to back off.
You nodded and Bakugo pulled you away from Todoroki “What was that for.” You turn to look at him and he just kept glaring at Todoroki.
“I don’t want you dancing with him.” He said you frown grabbing his hand
“That’s not really my decision, they just put us together. I’m not freaking out that your partner is Jiro, it's just a dance.” You squeeze his hand, calming him down a bit. He nodded
“I promise if anything happens I will tell you.” You promised, pressing a kiss to his cheek making him blush.
“Everyone let’s get to work.”
It had been a few days of rehearsal the groups were You and Todoroki, Uraraka and Izuku which you definitely teased her about, Ashido and Sero, Yaoyorozu with Kaminari and Tetsutetsu, and the last group was Jiro and Bakugo. There were also smaller roles with Kirishima and Ida, they had you and girls lined up as you went through each of your intros with Ida walking through the middle and the boys each walking through the window the girls had made. You went through the intro a few times until they got up to you and Todoroki’s dance. Your teachers had gone through the steps and you both got ready to try for the first time, your dancing was centered around Todoroki sitting down until you ‘kill’ him, and then it goes into a tango. You went through the steps and your movements were a bit stiff as you weren’t used to your partner. They decided to break it into two parts with the chair and then the tango. You walked around the chair listening to the words and you saw Todoroki hesitated for one part, during the dance he was supposed to hit your ass.
“It’s fine Todoroki it is part of the dance.” You reassure him when he fails to do it causing you guys to stop for a quick break.
“I just don’t like how I have to hit you.” He rubbed the back of his neck when your break ended you got ready to dance, you had walked around him and he hit you making you jump slightly but you continued on, you had to sit in his lap for a bit before walking around him to the back to the chair placing your leg on the back and ‘killed’ him. You went through the first half of your guy’s dance before they showed you the second half. You were definitely surprised seeing that you would have to go into a split on him and then get very up close and personal. You knew Bakugo was watching you could practically feel his gaze burning on you as you both danced. Once you both had gotten the steps down you went through the hold thing and you both were out of breath faces red. They decided to move on as there would be more time for one on one rehearsals. You went over to grab your towel and water when someone grabbed your arm pulling you to your feet.
“I don’t like this.” Bakugo growl you sighed taking a sip from your water,
“You know if I could change partners I would be with you, but this could be groundbreaking if I get noticed by a school.” You wrapped your arms around his waist he looked down nodding,
“Yeah I know, I just don’t like seeing Half-and-Half all over you.” He sighed pulling you closer to him.
“I promise you after this I’ll see if we could be partners for the summer. Only you for me ok?” You pressed a kiss to his lips and he sagged in your hold. Your short break had ended as you guys went back because you were needed for Uraraka and Izuku’s dance. You and the other girls had to join in playing the six wives which was over pretty quickly. You guys continued going through each group, with Ashido ‘killing’ her partner with a knife. Yaoyorozu danced as Hunyak, a Hungarian woman pleading that she was innocent, but her character didn’t speak English they had to do a few ballet moves showing off her innocence. Kendo had performed with Ojiro and Uraraka and you saw Izuku looking really jealous seeing Uraraka dance with someone else, you would definitely have to tell her later. You and the girls had to do a dance with the chairs using them as you danced around them and sitting in them. For the last group was Jiro and Bakugo, though they didn’t really dance together. You, Ashido, Yaoyorozu, and Kirishima were playing the flings he had. You and the other had to appear around him basically laying yourself over him. You pressed yourself against his side and he pulled you closer, you all had busted out laughing when Kirishima had to play one of Bakugo’s flings pressing himself against your boyfriend.
“Bakugo wanna tell me something.” You teased,
“I didn’t do shit.” He mumbled and Kirishima gasped, placing his hand on his heart.
“Did my love mean nothing to you.” he cried, making you and the girls laugh. You finished up the rehearsal going with the six of you dancing in a line doing kicks and turns and a lot of other stuff. You all ended with you walking back to your original position in the beginning but the difference was you guys were sitting in chairs.
“That was a great rehearsal today everyone. I want you each to practice your dances with your groups as we will be expecting you all to be comfortable with your partners.” Ms. Midnight called to everyone. They had dismissed you all as you walked over to grab your bag.
“Oh my god did you see Bakugo was death-glaring Todoroki the entire of you guys danced.” Uraraka sat next to you as you took off your dance shoes, putting on your sweater.
“Yeah I know but you should have seen Izuku looking at you the entire time while you were dancing with Ojiro.” You poked at her watching her blush.
“Hey, Y/n.” Todoroki walked over to you as you finished tying your sneakers.
“Hey what’s up.” You stood up grabbing your dance bag
“I was just wondering when you would be free to practice.” He asked,
“I’m usually free after school if you wanna practice then here I’ll text you the details.” You said exchanging numbers so you guys could keep in touch. You saw Bakugo and Kirishima waiting by the door.
“I gotta go but I’ll see you at practice.” You waved goodbye going over to Bakugo, grabbing his hand as you made your way out of the studio.
“Kirishima I thought you were gonna steal Kacchan for me.” You looked over to the redhead as you guys walked home.
“Ha ha very funny.” Bakugo huffed wrapping his arm around your shoulder.
“You should have seen Bakugo while you were dancing with Todoroki, he was ready to kill him.” Kirishima said and Bakugo sent him a glare.
“I was able to tell.” You smirked and Bakugo pulled you closer to him. After you separated with Kirishima, you and Bakugo made your way to your guy’s apartment.
“I don’t see what the big deal is Kacchan, you’ve danced with girls all the time. What is so different from being dancing with a guy.” You said pulling your shoes off and placing them by the door, throwing your bag on the couch heading to the kitchen to get choose what you were going to do for dinner.
“It’s the thought of them being close and touching you, you’re mine, and no one else.” He pouted hopping onto the counter.
You stepped between his legs wrapping your arms around his shoulders, “I know,” You pressed a kiss onto his nose making his face scrunch up, “You’re mine as well no one is taken you, even Kirishima.” You giggled seeing his face drop.
“Are you ever going to let that go?” He sighed, rubbing his hand down his face
“Nope now pizza or burgers?” You pulled back pulling out the menus
“Are you kidding me, pizza of course!” He hopped off the counter pressing a kiss on your cheek, you smiled grabbing your phone to place the order before spending the rest of your night with Kacchan.
Your alarm made you roll over and shut it off, you began to get up when arms wrapped around you and pulled you back in bed.
“stay.” Bakugo mumbled in your neck pulling you closer to his chest.
“I have class in an hour, Kacchan so do you.” You unwrapped his arms from your body making him whine at the loss of contact. You hopped in the shower and then got changed into your uniform, when you got out Bakugo was drinking some coffee leaning against the counter.
“Morning babe,” You pressed a kiss to his cheek going over to pour yourself cereal. You felt your phone buzz and you looked at it seeing it was from Todoroki.
‘Hey If you're free today do you wanna rehearse?’ -Shoto Todoroki
You sent a reply telling him where and to meet you in one of the studios. After finishing both of your meals you both made your way to school before going off your separate ways. The bell had signaled that school was over and texted Todoroki to meet you in the boy’s studio as there was practice today for the freshmen. You opened the door to the studio to see Todoroki stretching against one of the barres
“Hey.” He sent you a wave which you returned putting on your dance shoes and stretching as well. You had taken off your sweater leaving you in your sports bra and leggings.
“You ready?” You asked getting up to plug your phone in for the music, while he pulled a chair to the center of the room. You turned on the music started a little before your entrance so you had time to prepare yourself. You had gone through the entire dance once before you broke it down to each part. You pointed out to each other ways to make it easier for you guys to move or for certain sections. You had gone through it again you had just ‘killed’ him so you moved the chair though you were supposed to throw it to one of the boys but it was just the two of you. You pushed him onto the floor going into the splits on him but then the music stopped. You both looked up to look at your phone.
“Damn speaker must have died.” You sighed rolling off him to go over to the speaker, you plugged in the speaker so it charged but it would take a while for it to be able to connect again so you guys took a break.
“You’re a really good dancer.” You compliment sitting next to him as you to a sip of your water.
“Thank you, I was a bit nervous as you're the first duo dance I’ve done with a girl.” he rubbed the back of his head and your jaw dropped.
“Your lying you are so natural dancing with a girl.” You pressured him to tell you his secret.
“It seems some people aren’t happy we are partnered.” He pointed out and you knew he was talking about Bakugo.
“I’m sorry about that, he's just protective. He was like that before we started dating he was jealous I would dance with other guys. But I get it your girlfriend must be mad your dancing with a girl.” You said drinking your water.
“Oh no, no girlfriends for me, he’s really understanding and knows I won’t do anything.” He said nonchalantly which made you choke on your water.
“I’m sorry did you say him.” You emphasized on him,
“Yeah him. I’m gay.” When he said you laughed so hard thinking about Bakugo,
“Oh my god this is perfect, Bakugo is jealous of you because he thought you would hit on me.” You both laughed at the revelation you just had.
“Ok, I have the perfect plan.” You explained your devious plan with him. When you all came back for another group rehearsal, when you guys got in there were fake cell bars for each of you.
“You ready for today’s rehearsal?” Uraraka asked you while pulling on her shoes.
“Definitely those one-on-one practices helped a lot.” You replied fixing your hair out of your face.
“Alright everyone get ready, the festivals only in a couple of weeks and this needs to be perfect.” Ms. Midnight said, setting up the music. You all got in your spots waiting for the music to start, you had gone through the intro and it was for yours and Todoroki’s solo. You had walked around the chair with a smile on your face and when it was the part for him to hit you, he didn’t hesitate like before and you could see Bakugo’s jaw drop. You had draped yourself over him as the dance continued, after you had ‘killed’ you tossed the chair over to Kirishima as instructed then dropped into the splits on Todoroki and some of the girls hollered. You rolled off him, throwing a kick before he was supposed to hold you as you bent backward before you both went into the short tango, hitting your marks, him holding your leg up you and Todoroki’s inches apart smiles on your faces. You both walked off as we continued through the routine, when it was Jiro and Bakugo’s solo when you draped yourself onto Kacchan he pulled you closer to him pinching your thigh making you jump slightly. You all hit your marks on the chairs the music finished, as you all were trying to catch your breaths. Your teachers clapped as you got up walking to them.
“Amazing work guys, this is going to look amazing for the festival. Y/n Todoroki beautiful job the chemistry between you two was great.” Ms. Midnight complimented you both, you looked over to him, and he sent you a wink that had you smiling. They had dismissed you all and you got your stuff when you were turned around to see a very angry Bakugo.
“What the hell was that.” He hissed. You shrugged continuing to pack your stuff up
“It was dancing Kacchan you have eyes.” You stated, pulling your bag onto your shoulder.
“You know what I mean, you were all over him.” He growled giving you a glare. You crossed your arms leaning against the wall.
“Yes that the choreography hun.” You grabbed your school bag as well as your dance bag. “I gotta go, I have studying to do.” You pressed a kiss to his cheek but he grabbed your arm before you could walk too far.
“Why can’t you study at home?” He asked,
“It’s a group study, I’ll see you later babe.” You pulled your arm away and he watched you go over to Todoroki and walked out with him and boy did that infuriate him. So you guys did have to study plus making Bakugo jealous was a bonus, you got to meet Todoroki’s boyfriend, and he was such a sweetheart. He was a law major and they met when he accidentally walked into the auditorium for debate but saw Todoroki dancing and the rest is history.
A few weeks had passed and it was the night of the festival, you and the other girls were in one of the changing rooms changing into the outfits you were giving. Which was barely anything, you had a strappy bikini top, with some high-waisted bottoms and fishnets. Each of you was wearing similar outfits, you were all wearing black your hair and makeup was done as you all just relaxed in the changing room.
“We look hot.” Ashido said, making you all laugh, there was a knock on the door and Ms. Midnight came in closing the door behind her.
“My goodness you all look gorgeous, the group before us just came on so get out there and make me proud.” She gave you all a smile and went out.
“Welp dance closer to success.” You said and all the girls cheered as you made your way backstage where the rest of the boys were. You looked over the group of boys and you saw Bakugo standing in the back with Kirishima. You made your way through the group saying your hellos and good lucks.
“Hey Kacchan.” You smiled and he turned to you and his eyes widened looking you up and down.
“Damn Y/n, you look great.” Kirishima said, making you smile and an arm wrapped around your waist pulled your back to their chest.
“Hey babe.” You turned to Bakugo, pressing a kiss to his neck and his arms tighten around you. “Something wrong baby~” You smiled, looked up at his face and he grumbled.
“I don’t like you wearing this.” He pressed his face in your neck upset.
“I like it.” You replied before he could speak you guys were called out to perform. “Good luck Kacchan.”
You went over to the group of girls and did a quick prep circle, then you were out. You all stood on your marks as the lights dimmed to a faint red, and then you started. It had reached yours and Todoroki’s solo and the adrenaline and fun of making Bakugo jealous fueled you throughout the dance. People were cheering and whooping when you did the splits on him before going into the tango. The final beats rang through your ears as you all hit your final poses and applauses rang through the auditorium. You all got off stage and were surrounded by your other classmates as you all talked about the performance. You and your classmates went back to the dressing rooms to get change out of your costumes.
“Hey Y/n.” A voice made your turn from the door to the dressing room where the girls were.
“Hey Todoroki.” you gave him a smile as he walked up to you.
“I wanted to thank you for being a great partner.” He smiled thanking you.
“It was nothing you are an amazing dancer you would be great with anyone.” You complimented he nodded
“I almost forgot you know Hawks.” You nodded
“Yeah he is like the number 2 best dancer out there why what happened?” You asked
“Well he was there and asked to recruit me for his agency and perform with him for his next dance competition.” He smiled and your jaw dropped.
“Oh my God! That's amazing Todoroki congratulation!” You smiled pulling him into a hug. Unbeknownst to you and Todoroki hugging and talking more was your very angry boyfriend watching the whole exchange. The rest of the festival was spent watching the other schools perform you had sat with the girls throughout the rest of the dances. After it had ended you and your classmates were in the lobby either waiting for rides or just talking. You were talking with Kirishima about the other performances when you felt a tap on your shoulder.
“Excuse me Ms. Y/n” You turn and your eyes widened. The person was Rumi Usagiyama.
“You’re Rumi Usagiyama.” You gasped as the famous dancer smiled.
“Rumi is fine Y/n. I’ve seen your performance for quite a while and this performance pushed me to ask. Would you be interested in joining my agency? We have a competition next year in Tokyo and I would love for you to perform with us.” She smiled and your jaw was now on the floor, Kirishima elbowed you making you fix yourself.
“Uh.. Yes! I would love to that would be amazing.” You beamed and she smiled at your response.
“That’s great, call us and we will bring you in to meet the group,” She pulled out a company card which you took and then she left. You just stared at the card frozen. This was your dream coming true.
“Y/n.. You good?” Kirishima poked you when you still hadn’t moved,
“This is a dream someone pinch me.” You sighed. You yelped when you felt a pinch on your arm, you glared at Kirishima and he laughed.
“I gotta go tell Kacchan.” You rushed off trying to find him, you looked around the lobby filled with other schools. Where the hell was he? You gazed locked on blonde spiky hair heading to the front doors, you rushed as fast as you could weaving through people trying to get close to him.
“Kacchan!” You yelled making him turn and he had a frown on his face.
“Babe what’s wrong?” You slowed down going up to him grabbing his hand.
“It’s nothing shouldn’t you be with Icy-Hot.” He grumbled, fixing his bag and then you realized with you spending time with Todoroki your little prank had blown up way out of proportion.
“Baby it’s not like that,” You squeezed his hand only for him to pull it out of your grasp.
“I get it Y/n, he's better than me at everything, dancer, looks, and liking you.” He sighed looking away from you.
“Katsuki, Todoroki is gay.” He froze turning to you.
“What.”
“He’s gay Kacchan, look.” You pointed over to where he was, and there was Todoroki talking with his boyfriend before pressing a kiss on the lips.
“He’s..and you-...but you two-” He stumbled over his words still in shock.
“Are nothing but friends, I’m only yours you got it.” You wrapped your arms around his neck
“You damn right dumbass.” He smirked, pressing a kiss on your lips making you smile.
You pull away still in his arms “I have to tell you something.” You smiled trying to keep your excitement in.
“What is it?” He hummed caressing you the small of your back.
“After the performance Rumi Usagiyama came up to me and asked me to join her agency. She wants me to perform with her next year in Tokyo.” You jumped up and down unable to keep in your joy.
“Are you serious.” He smiled
“Yes I’m so excited!” You beamed. He lifted you in his arms making you laugh spinning you around
“That’s amazing baby.” He pulled you into a giant bear hug.
“I love you baby.” He pulled you into a kiss, you ran your fingers through his hair.
“I love you too Kacchan.” You both pulled away smiles on your faces as you both made your way out the school back home where both of you would spend the rest of your time together.

You cry over boys
You haven't even met in real life
Yeah, you know he's the worst
But you tell all your friends he seems nice, oh, oh
[PRESENT DAY]
Y/n squinted at the mirror as she applied her eyeliner, her delicate strokes forming a sharp wing at the corner of her eye. The ring on her phone pulled her away from her reflection and she answered the call.
“Hey Jo!”, she grinned, setting her eyeliner aside as her friend greeted her.
“Hey, y/n/n! How’s it going?”
Y/n replied back and asked him the same question.
Jonah chuckled, “I’m doing good, thanks for asking. Hey, I know this is a little last minute but I was wondering if you wanted to hang out at my place tonight?”
Y/n winced, “Ooo, I’m gonna have to say no, Jo. I got a date tonight.”
The line went silent for a second before Jonah spoke, “Oh- that’s cool.” Jonah cleared his throat, “Who’s the lucky guy?”
You grinned cheesily, “It’s Matt, the one I brought over to meet the group a few weeks ago? Remember, the one from Tinder?”
“Oh, him,” Jonah replied bluntly.
“Jonah, be nice! He’s a nice person, you just don’t know him well.”
“He stood you up on your first date, y/n.”
Y/n sighed, “Yes but he said sorry! And it was because he had an emergency meeting for work!”
“Sure, fine and the time he forgot your own birthday?”
Y/n huffed, “Jonah look, Matt’s great and he makes me happy. There’s no need to boss me around and tell me who I can and can’t date. I’m an adult, I can make my own decisions.”
“I-whatever y/n, I need to go anyways. Have fun.”
Y/n sighed, “Jonah, wai-”
Jonah hung up, cutting y/n off.
You change like the seasons in LA
And by that I mean that you don't ever really even change
Jonah hung up the phone and threw it across his bed with a groan. As he did, his bedroom door opened and Corbyn entered the room with a cheeky grin, “So…?”
Jonah shook his head, “She’s going out with Matt.”
Corbyn’s grin fell, “Again?”
Jonah nodded, dragging his hands across his face in frustration, “Yep, the one and only.”
He huffed thinking about the time Matt stood y/n up, “Her prince charming.”
Y/n’s  jumbled up words and rapid breathing had Jonah shooting up from his bed at 10 PM, wide awake as he answered her call.
“Woah, woah, y/n. Hey, it’s okay, just breathe.”
“H-he I-”, y/n struggled to form her words, trying to get herself together.
“Y/n, breathe with me, okay?”
Y/n followed Jonah as he guided her, taking a deep breath and exhaling. After a few times she calmed down and finally spoke.
“He stood me up, Jo.”
“I-What? Wasn’t he the one who planned this?”
Y/n nodded, “Uh huh, and on my birthday too!” she huffed, her distress evident in her voice, “This might be too much to ask but..can I stay the night? I don’t want to go back to Matt.”.
Jonah sighed quietly, “You’re always welcome. Do you need a ride?”
Y/n sniffled, “Yes, please.”
Jonah quickly got out of bed, finding a pair of sneakers and heading downstairs to meet Corbyn.
“You are so, so whipped for her,” Corbyn stifled a yawn, watching as his friend looked in the mirror, fixing the crinkles on his pyjamas.
“She’s only going to break your heart, you know that right?”
Jonah remained silent as Corbyn continued, “She’s too lovesick over this Matt guy.”
No, you just cry over boys
You haven't even met in real life, oh, oh
How many nights can you spend
Staining your pillow with makeup?
When you're really upset
It's so annoying to take off
Just to do it again
Oh, what's the point in dressin' up to be let down?
“I just-I just don’t get it,” y/n whispered as Jonah wiped her make-up off. He always kept spare wipes for her.
Jonah nodded, just letting his friend rant, saying the same things over and over again.
“Jo?”
He hummed in response.
“Is it because I’m not pretty? Do you think he found someone prettier?”
Jonah froze, looking at y/n. A lump built in his throat as he thought of y/n, thinking of herself as anything less than beautiful.
“Y/n, you’re the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, and the most beautiful one that I will ever see.”
Y/n sniffled and turned to the mirror to see her reflection, her face wiped clean of her make-up, “You’re just saying that.”
Jonah tisked, softly turning her chin to him, “What makes you think that, hm? I mean every word I said, from the bottom of my heart”
Jonah tucked y/n into bed, checking that she was comfortable before making his way to his side of the bed.
“Sing to me?”, she pouted.
Jonah sighed, “Aren't you tired….of getting hurt?”
Y/n frowned, “I love him, Jonah.”
Jonah rolled his eyes, “You always say that, y/n. Aren't you sick of making it worse?”
Y/n sighed in response and picked up her phone, “You wouldn’t understand. Can we talk about something else?”
‘If only you knew’, he thought. He pulled out his phone, opening his voice memos, “Wanna hear some songs I’m working on?”.
You cry over boys
You know would never cry about you
He used to light up your room
Now your phone is darker than a tattoo, oh, oh
Y/n nodded eagerly, propping herself up to sit down as Jonah played some demos for her. She bopped her head along to the songs, commenting on them here and there but Jonah could tell she wasn’t really focused. Her eyes occasionally darted back to her phone which laid across from her. The screen was dark, untouched by notifications. Every now and then, y/n would lift it up, the screen lighting up with an image of her and Matt.
And every time she did, she would switch it off again, turning back to Jonah. Each time, her eyes glowed a little dimmer.
“It’s getting late,” y/n mumbled with a yawn as Jonah put his phone away, having shown her all the songs in progress. Jonah nodded, agreeing.
Y/n laid down, wishing him good night as she closed her eyes.
Jonah turned around and switched off the bedside table’s lamp. He laid back down and y/n wrapped arms around his torso. Jonah was thankful the room was dark so no one could see how his cheeks heated up like they did everytime. He wrapped his arms around y/n and closed his eyes.
Moments with her would only last so long like the moon and its phases. Once the sun would rise, the moon would disappear just like y/n, everytime she went back to Matt.
Sometimes he wished the night would continue and the day would never come. Then, the stars could light the sky forever.
You move like the Earth around the stars
Broken hearted when you end up in the same place that you start, no
Back to crying over boys
You know would never cry about you, oh, oh
[PRESENT DAY]
Jonah stirred his cup of coffee silently in the kitchen, oblivious to his bandmates in the living room who observed him.
“I’ve never seen him so...so in love and heartbroken at the same time,”  Zach whispered.
Jack nodded in agreement, a look of concern on his face.
“Give it an hour and when that girl calls crying over that a**hole, again, he’s going to be all hers,” Corbyn sighed.
Daniel turned back to the group, “How long has y/n been dating that jerk anyway? Didn’t they break up?”
Corbyn shook his head, “Nope, it was a break. Got back together again.”
Their conversation died down as they heard Jonah’s phone ring and watched him pick it up within a blink of an eye, “Hey y/n.”
Corbyn groaned softly, “Here we go again.”
When you gonna learn?
When you gonna learn (How not to get hurt?)
When you gonna learn?
Jonah sat in his room, his fingers dancing across the keyboard as a soft melancholic tune resonated from the keys. It was a quiet Saturday night and the rain outside pattered against the window as he hummed a melody under his breath. He glanced at his journal where scribbles of music notes and lyrics scattered the pages.
The sound of the doorbell pulled him away from the keyboard as he got up from his chair. He knew who was at the door already. He grabbed his hoodie from his bed and descended the stairs. He opened the front door, being met with the person he expected, drenched by the rain.
Y/n shivered, mumbling a shaky “Hey.”
Jonah pulled her inside, “What are you doing out there, this late at night when it’s pouring?” He gave her his hoodie as she pulled it on and thanked him. Y/n pulled the sleeves over her arm, the hoodie far too large for her.
“I-I came to talk to you.”
Jonah frowned as he walked to the kitchen and y/n followed, taking a seat on a stool.
“Couldn’t you call?”, he asked, grabbing two mugs.
Y/n shook her head, watching as Jonah made two cups of tea, “I thought it was better it was in person.”  She accepted the cup of tea from Jonah, thanking him.
Jonah leaned back against the counter, “So, what did Matt do this time?”, he asked.
Y/n placed her cup on the table, folding her hands in her lap. “Actually...I broke up with him two days ago.”
Jonah looked up surprised, “Oh?”
“I realised you were right,” y/n began to explain. Jonah held back the feeling to roll his eyes.
“This entire time I was pining over someone else who didn’t even care when there was someone else by my side.”
Jonah took a sip of his tea, his heart sinking. He cleared his throat. “That’s amazing, y/n,” he put a smile on his face. “I’m really happy for you.”
“Jonah,” y/n stared at him.
“What?”
“Do you not get what I’m trying to say?”
Jonah frowned and placed his cup down, “What are you trying to say?”
Y/n stood up, shuffling over to Jonah with a small smile.
“Maybe this will explain it,” she said. Her hands cupped Jonah’s cheeks as she lifted herself onto her tiptoes. Jonah’s breath hitched as y/n’s lips touched his with a soft kiss. She pulled back with a soft blush on her cheeks.
“It’s you, Jonah. It’s always been you and I was a fool for taking so long to figure it out.”
Jonah’s face broke into a large grin, “You don’t even know how long I’ve been waiting for you to say that.” His hand reached for her waist and pulled her closer as he dipped down to kiss her.

Trigger warning: Talk about death
Word Count: 2633
Part 1 Part 2  Part 3
Tumblr media
After making sure all of the blood was no longer on his uniform, Closing his eyes, Izuku steeled himself to walk into the All Might shrine that was his room. Sure, he still wanted to be a hero, and he admired All Might’s strength, but he couldn’t stand to be surrounded by posters and figurines of a man who couldn’t offer any sort of encouragement to a child who clearly needed it. Izuku pulled some cardboard boxes out from his closet and started filling them with everything All Might. Oboro didn’t make a sound during the time he cleaned out his room, which he was grateful for. Even though he could just feel Oboro wanting to ask questions.
“So what are you going to do about all this stuff?” Oboro asked as Izuku changed his All Might sheets with regular black ones “You seem like such a big fan...it just seems like a waste just to keep it all in boxes.”
Izuku shrugged his shoulders.”I’m not much of a fan anymore.” he lied to mostly himself rather than to Oboro, “I guess I’ll just donate the stuff later.” Once his walls were finally bare, Izuku stuffed the now full boxes to the back of his closet and flopped onto his bed. The room stayed silent for a moment until Izuku broke the ice, “I don’t want to intrude on your personal life…but can you tell me about yourself?” he asked
“Well for the fact that I witnessed and helped you with some pretty deep stuff, it sorta would be rude if I didn’t tell you something about my previous life,” Oboro said cheekily
“H-how long have you been...you know…” Izuku paused not really wanting to complete the question.
“...dead?” Izuku nodded “I was in my second year of high school when I died and I would be 29 by now so...close to 12 years I think?”  Izuku sat there on his bed frozen
‘12 years is a long time to be a ghost or spirit to not have passed on, that is if people actually pass onto another place once they die’ Izuku thought to himself
“I was patrolling around Tasomiya Ward with one of my best friends when there was a villain attack...I was working on saving some kids when debris fell on top of me...when I woke up I was like how I am now, I couldn’t find my body anywhere so I just...travelled around…” Oboro seemed to quiet down at mentioning that he never found his body to move onto another life, so Izuku thought of ways to change the current mood of the room.
“So you were a hero in training or something?” he asked, face full of wonder, Oboro hummed in affirmation “What school did you go to?”
“I went to U.A”
“Wait really?!” Izuku exclaimed excitedly, “that's so cool!”
They continued talking and asking questions back and forth, before falling into a comfortable silence. A few minutes past before Izuku took a deep breath
“I...I’m sorry,” Izuku said quietly, slowly curling into himself
"Why would you be sorry kid?" Oboro’s voice was full of confusion. But Izuku only curled in on himself further.
"If it wasn't for me you wouldn't be stuck here." As if anyone wanted to be bound to some stupid Deku...like him. And here he thought it was a whole coincidence that Oboro was with him. But instead, he just took whatever type of freedom he had to begin with.
"Hey, no! Stop that. Izuku that's not true! I'm here because I want to be!" The warmth spread all over him and he couldn't help but lean into it. “I said I'd make a hero out of you and I still plan on it."
Izuku looked up only to see the ceiling of his room, lifting his arm up to the sky and let it just float there (like what every kid does while laying on there bed contemplating on what to do next). "I wish I could see you again."
Oboro hummed. Seeming to think something through. "I don’t think there’s much out there since I was only a second-year when I died, but there could be some photos of me with friends or an article"
Izuku seemed to take that as a challenge as he went to his computer. "What did you choose to be your hero name?"
"Loud Cloud."
After scouring the web for a couple of minutes nothing showed up except for an old article from the Nikkei Shimbun newspaper, reporting the death of hero-in-training Loud Cloud. Izuku quickly exited that site choosing to search for something different. “What’s your full name Oboro?”
“Oh that’s right I didn’t tell you my full name, it is Oboro Shirakumo” Oboro replied
“Oboroshirikumo...oboroshirikumooo….here!” Izuku exclaimed pointing at the monitor’s screen. “This photo was tagged saying ‘Curry eating competition at U.A’s School Festival. Winner Hizashi Yamada from class 2-A!’ it also says the names of the people in the photo are; Shota Aizawa, Hizashi Yamada, and Oboro Shirakumo.”
“Oh, I remember that!” Oboro cried out laughing “The curry was soo spicy I was freaking out because I couldn’t find anything to soothe my burning throat!”
Tumblr media
“So that’s you in the back then?” Izuku asked pointing towards a teenager who seems to be freaking out.
Oboro chuckles “Yep, the other two were my best friends!”
“Yamada looks sorta familiar what’s his hero name?” Izukku asked, curious on why the 16-year-old looked so familiar to him
“Unless he changed it before becoming a pro, which he probably would not, his hero name is Present Mic.”
Izuku sputtered “W-wait you were close friends with THE Present Mic?!” Oboro hummed in agreement while Izuku had his miny freak out “
“Oh my god that is socool!Ilistentohisradioshoweveryday,andhe’ssuchanamazinghero,likeevenifheisdeafduetohisquirkhedoesn’tletitbotherhiman-” He stopped hearing the sound of laughter coming around his room and his lamp flickering
"Aw jeez, that’s amazing Hizashi got to get that radio show he wanted." There was a quick blast of warmth flooding around his back and chest resembling a hug. "Well anyway, you should probably head to bed. You have a busy day ahead of you tomorrow and a long way to go before you can have a chance at being accepted into UA!"
"What are you going to do while I sleep?" Izuku asked, eyes slowly drooping.
"I'm going to see how far I can go without being next to you, and have a look around and exploring a bit. No need to worry. I'll make sure to be careful and be here in the morning." He seemed to pick up on his anxieties. Izuku felt warmth as Oboro slowly pet his hair back. "Goodnight, Izuku."
Tumblr media
The next morning Izuku woke up to warmth pulsing on his right cheek. "Hey kid it’s time to get up! You have training to do! Up and at ‘em!" Oboro’s voice was overly joyful and Izuku felt very unwilling to get out of bed.
"Mm...just a bit longeeeer." He groaned turning himself over facing away from where he guesses Oboro is standing (floating?).
"Fair warning Izuku my jokes are terrible, everyone at school would always runaway once I started and I haven’t been able to talk to actual people in so long! If spaghetti were to have it’s own action movie, what would it be called?.... Mission im-pasta-ble. What did the pot eat on it’s birthday?....pancakes. What do you call a camel in a drought?....A dry hu- "
Finally, Izuku jerked up, covering his ears. “Okay. Okay, I’m up! No need to finish that.” His face started to burn a light pink across his face, (knowing what the end of the joke was) as he started to kick the blankets off only to turn towards the window and see barely any light outside. "Wha- Oboro!! The sun isn’t even out yet!"
He turned glaring into thin air hoping to make contact with him.
"Yes, it is, Izu. It's just reeeally early in the morning. There is plenty of time for you to get ready and eat before we go out for a morning run!" He was being weirdly energetic about the whole ordeal, but Izuku knew he wouldn't take no for an answer.
Heading to the bathroom, Izuku ran a brush through his wild curly hair and brushed his teeth. Going back to his room, Obroro pipped up. "It's a bit cool outside so I suggest you wear some long sleeves."
The entire way to his closet Izuku muttered incoherent things. In the end, he opted to wear a plain black shorts and a long-sleeved shirt with written kanji saying 'tank-top' with his old dusty sneakers because his red sneakers were still on top of the roof.
Before heading out Izuku ate some toast and an orange. If he got hungry later on their run he could always eat more when they got back. As Izulu started to leave the apartment Izuku tripped over an unmarked box that was just left in front of the door.
"Ooo I wonder what it is!” Oboro seemed quite enthusiastic as Izuku went to open the box revealing his faded red shoes and yellow backpack.
"Wai-how-who found my stuff?" Izuku asked immediately putting the bag by the door and quickly changing between uncomfortable and comfortable shoes.
"I don’t know, when I got back from wandering around the package was just...there."
"Maybe someone found it and found out where I live from my contact info and address was written inside…?” Izuku wondered out loud.
“I guess so,” Oboro said looking to the bright sight of things.
‘But what if it was...All Might. Yeah, I’m glad that I don’t have to go back up there to collect my things but...I don’t want to have to depend on All Might to help me with my own problems.’
“Hey don’t think like that Izu! I know you’re not a huge fan of the guy, but you don’t have to beat yourself down like that. I know you’re better than that” Oboro spoke sternly trying to make a point, but that soon backfired as warmth spread through his body.
“Hold up- could you always hear my thoughts?” Izuku questioned as he started to jog away from the apartment.
“So far I can heat some things. Like your thoughts that way heavily on you emotionally. But it could possibly work to talk to me through your mind. So you don’t look like a freak talking to themselves.” Oboro quickly informs Izuku as to not worry him.
Sighed Izuku. That was true. Though he kept thinking about it as he jogged. As they passed Dagobah Municipal Beach, the sun had started to rise. Taking in a deep breath was the wrong reason as Izuku cringed from the awful smell of garbage. Despite the smell, Izuku took a break, taking a seat at the entrance.
"Oh gross. What is this place?" Oboro asked with a clear sound of disgust in his voice.
"Well," Izuku started."This is Dagobah Municipal Beach Park. It has accumulated trash coming from the sea for years, turning it from a beautiful beach spot into a trash heap for everyone's unwanted or broken belongings." It was really a shame. As a kid, Izuku recalled going to the beach. Lie under a beach umbrella, making sandcastles. But by the time he was tall enough into the water, it was already flooded with trash by then.
"That's terrible." Oboro seemed deeply upset about this actually. It made Izuku want to do something about it. But before Izuku could voice his thoughts Oboro spoke up.
“Hey Izu, could we make a quick visit to a convenience store?”
“Sure...what exactly do you want me to get?” Izuku asked, despite having an idea what Oboro was thinking.
“Well...you’re going to need to get some garbage bags and some gloves.”
Izuku then dashed towards the nearest convenience store with determination in his eyes. A frail-looking lady turned the key to open the doors as he walked by. Causing her to recoil in slight shock, Izuku realized that with his rapid approach he had frightened her. "I'm sorry, ma'am. I'd just come to purchase some garbage bags and some gloves.
The older woman seemed to soften something about his face as she smiled and opened his door. "Sure thing, they’re both in the last aisle on your right."
Before she went inside, Izuku thanked her and smiled back. He quickly found what he was looking for and brought a box of trash bags and a pair of workers gloves onto the counter.
"What's the hurry, son? Why do you need trash bags this early in the morning? You aren't trying to cause trouble are you?" the old woman pointed to Izuku with an accusing finger, and he shook his head quickly.
"Oh no, ma'am! I thought that I could just try and clean the beach up! I passed it while I was on my morning run!" Izuku assured, voicing Oboro’s plan
At this, the elder woman gently smiles while scanning the items. “Wow, is that right?” she said astonished, “ You know how long that place has been a mess? What makes you believe you can do it all by yourself?"
Her words weren't really painful, she was just being realistic. He knew she was right. He certainly had no obligation to clean up the beach. He could have just ignored it and easily went about his day. But he knew if he wanted to be a hero then he would need to start off the roots of how heroes came to be. How they used to work. Heroes in the beginning didn’t do what they did for fame. No. They didn’t care for the recognition they would get. They did it because they just wanted to help.
“That’s the thing, ma’am. I thought that it wouldn’t hurt to try. It’s also a great way to work out, instead of having to buy workout equipment or get a gym membership!” Izuku brightly smiles towards the lady as he handed her the money to buy his items.
“Well, I wish you luck, kid. I’m guessing that you’ll need a place to put the trash you collect.” She stated, Izuku smiling sheepishly at her rubbing the back of his head she continued, “There are two dumpsters in the alley behind the store, they get taken every Monday.”
"Thank you, ma'am!" Izuku said genuinely as he headed for the door. He didn't think too much about how he would dispose of the garbage, so it was good to have one offered.
Oboro began to laugh as Izuku jogged back towards the beach. "Cheaper than having to buy workout equipment or get a gym membership! Man, how true that is nowadays!”
The first garbage bags were packed very quickly. broken bottles, cans of beer, old and rotting newspaper, all of it was poured into the trash bag. Plastic, paper, glass, etc. Izuku could take them to a recycling center! He was already pumped about this new project when Oboro spoke up.
“Hey, Izu, before you toss that into the bag” placing his hand on Izuku’s making him feel warmth blossom closest to the soda, can packaging he was holding in that hand. “make sure you cut each circle so if they end up in wildlife again then animals won’t get their heads stuck inside.”
Izuku's eyes lit up as he started to tear apart each loop before placing it in one of the bags used for recycling. Soon Izuku had used up a quarter of the box of trash bags gone and only had 6x5 feet rectangle cleared of the beach.

1000🎉
for my 1000th survey, I’m going to repost the very first survey I posted to this blog (in June of 2018!) and see if any of the answers have changed in two years. ~
What would be worse - going out in public with no bra or no panties? >> No panties. I’ve definitely gone out in public without a bra on (and technically, all the times I’ve worn a binder counts too, so!). >> Still true. The idea of going out without bottom underwear on makes my skin crawl. Who is one person in your life who could use a serious attitude adjustment? >> No one in my actual social group. I know some tumblr users and some discord folks who could benefit from one, though. >> No argument there. Using three words and no colors, describe your most worn pair of shoes: >> Cool Skechers sneakers. >> Basic Skechers sneakers. They’re still cool, but I think the ones I had in 2018 were colourful. These are just plain black, lol. If you had to change a tire right now, would you know how? >> I don’t know the steps well enough, and I’ve never done it before so I don’t have experiential memory to fall back on. >> I actually watched a tire being changed fairly recently, so I do remember the steps now. The difficulty would be in whether I could get the lug nuts off or not, because sometimes it feels like them things is welded on.
You have a 20 hour flight ahead of you, pick one person to sit next to: >> I… don’t know? Anyone in my social group who’s willing to fly 20 hours, I guess (not everyone is, after all, for good reason). >> The only person I want to sit next to on a flight is Sparrow. Otherwise I don’t want to sit next to anyone. (I’ve actually gotten lucky enough to have an empty seat next to me on flights before, and let me tell you, I treasured it.)
Would you ever let your child drop out of high school? >> Sure, if they really wanted to and they had a plan for what they actually wanted to do. They can’t drop out just because they’re bored of it, although I’d definitely sympathise with them. This is a situation I’d have to judge when it actually arose, is the bottom line, because every situation is different. >> Yeah, I can’t argue with that. Take a guess at what temperature it is outside: >> Er… around 70* F? >> I’m going to guess mid-fifties. What is your favorite hot drink? How about your favorite cold one? >> My favourite hot drink is probably some sort of herbal tea. I have a lot of favourite cold drinks. >> Correct. Although I’d also add in “hot spiced cider-wine” as a favourite hot drink. It’s so good. Honestly, do you think that inner beauty is as important as outer beauty? >> I think that beauty is something that doesn’t require comparison. >> Ooo, good answer, past!me. What is something you own that means a lot to you? Where’d you get it? >> I have a bottle of Baron Samedi rum that’s empty now but I still keep it. I got it in New Orleans and that’s half of the importance; the other half is the branding. >> Oof, I wish I had another bottle of that. There’s a place in Battle Creek (weirdly enough) that sells it, but when are we ever going to go to Battle Creek just to get me my Samedi rum fix? Something I own right now that means a lot to me is my Phantom of the Opera teddy bear. I got it when we went to the live performance at Miller Auditorium and that was such a wonderful and transcendent experience. Also, the bear is so fuckin cute I can’t stand it. What is something you used to be afraid of, but aren’t anymore? >> Thunderstorms. >> Yup. You can only have two: smart, sexy, funny, or cute. Pick. >> Unfortunately for you, I already have all four, so I don’t have to choose. >> lmfao honestly, cheeky answers are the only answers I’m willing to give to questions like this. In Taiwan they eat rooster testicles - would you try them? >> Probably not. >> Eh, yeah, probably not. Well, I mean... maybe. Depends on how it’s cooked? :V Describe what would be a perfect date for you: >> I don’t have a concept of the perfect date. I think most dates are pretty good, as long as they’re with someone I like. >> I don’t date, period, so I don’t care. Privacy and Respect; which is more important to you? >> I think people who respect me will respect my privacy, too, so… >> I mean, exactly. Do you pronounce “aunt” like “awnt” or “ant”? >> Either, depending on where it is in the sentence, or something. >> Yeah, it’s kind of random for me. Can you spell your first name backwards without writing it down? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, because I’ve answered “spell your name backwards” questions in surveys enough times that I can see what it looks like in my head now without even trying. Any idea what DVD stands for? >> Not off the top of my head, but luckily, since google exists, I don’t have to remember. >> Pretty much. Digital video disc? IDK. Has a store employee ever hit on you while you were shopping or paying? >> Not to my recollection. >> Gods, I hope not. Great car and average house or great house and average car? >> Hmm. >> No car, great house on even greater land. Do you find not washing your hands after using the bathroom to be gross? >> Yeah, it’s one of those behaviours I can’t really overlook like I can others. Hand-washing is of utmost importance to both your health and others’ health, and can prevent a variety of illnesses if done properly, so you’re really fucking people over when you don’t wash your hands. >> Facts. How often do you flash a peace sign in your photographs? >> Eh, I’d say maybe 10-20% of the time. >> At this point in my life, I rarely consent to being in photographs at all, so I don’t have any recent data on my penchant for peace-sign flashing.

The Bet
Pairing: Wonwoo x Junhui
Prologue | Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8 | Part 9 | Part 10 | Part 11 | Part 12 | Part 13 | Part 14 | Part 15 | Part 16 | Part 17 | Part 18 | Part 19 | Part 20
Junhui knew he was out of his element the moment he, Seungkwan and Hansol walked into some trendy clothing store. All he could see was racks after racks of hoodies, shoes, weird-looking baggy pants, and an array of hats. He only distinguished them as clothes because Hansol looked like he shopped his entire closet here.
“Okay first stop is not actually my first choice, but it’s Hansol’s favourite store so I guess we can try some stuff here.” Hansol kissed him on the cheek, rendering Seungkwan unusually silent and very red.
“Thanks babe, I know there’s some stuff here that you really hate, but let’s get Junhui to try on some of the tamer items okay?”
With that, Junhui was whisked away to the changing room. Clothing item after clothing item was thrown into the room with him, along with comments like “pair these together”, “this is for the next outfit okay”, “oo these shoes go with the first look!” From there he struggled to put on the clothes before walking out to let his friends give him their comments. It was an hour of mostly:
“Hmm, I think this looks too cool on you. I know we’re trying to elevate your style but this is taking it too far. Next” Ouch.
“Ooo, those pants are really cute, I wonder if they have it in my size? Oh, not on you though Junnie, I can call you Junnie right? Anyway, Next!” Double ouch.
“Ew how did we think of that outfit, you look like my grandpa. Next!” Triple ouch. One more and Junhui was ready to walk out and rethink all his life decisions. Like letting Seungkwan and Hansol pick all his outfits.
The last outfit was a white baggy sweater from some hype-beast brand that Junhui didn’t know (but Hansol certainly did), and a pair of ripped black skinny jeans. Seungkwan had asked him to pair it with his own shoes, a pair of black sneakers. When looking into the mirror, Junhui had to admit he looked pretty good. While it was not a complete change from his previous style, he still felt a million times more stylish and in trend than before.
“Oh my gosh, I think we cracked it. Junnie, why haven’t you been showing us your beautiful legs and hiding them in those horrendous sweatpants? Okay, we’re picking up these jeans in every colour, and maybe grab a few t-shirts and sweaters. New rule for you: all your t-shirts have to be fitted okay, no oversized shirts anymore. I will give you an exception for hoodies or sweaters worn over, but you cannot wear those more than twice a week, unless during winter.” Junhui nodded, though overwhelmed by the list of instructions.
Quickly paying for the jeans, some t-shirts and sweaters. Seungkwan hurried them to the hairdressers before it got dark.
“Okay, you just sit here and let my stylist do the magic. I have given him specific instructions on what to do, including not letting you know in case you back out. Hansol and I will run over to my favourite store to pick up some jackets and accessories for you, now that we have the basics for you. Okay, bye Junnie have fun!” With that the both of them ran out of the store, leaving Junhui to nervously sit in front of the mirror and await his impending doom.
---
“Okay you may open your eyes now Junnie! Oh Hansol, it’s better than I’ve ever imagined.”
“Yeah it actually looks really good Jun” Feeling reassured by their comments, Junhui slowly opened his eyes. He nearly could not recognise himself in the mirror; Gone were his long dark locks, in front of him was a guy with short hair styled up, and it had the slightest tinge of red. This time, he was at a complete loss for words.
“Wow guys, I really don’t know what to say. Thank you so much for everything, this, the clothes, the new jackets which I have yet to see, all the advice, your time, j-just everything. I never had friends to do this with before, so thank you.” Junhui was close to tears, and he could tell that Seungkwan was touched enough that he was about to cry too. Hansol slowly put his hand around his boyfriend and squeezed him softly.
“You’re most welcome Jun, anytime aright. That’s what friends are for okay?”
“Y-yeah, that’s really sweet Junnie. Now promise to take out your braces soon and then make sure to wow everyone at school. Including a certain someone you’ve been hanging out a lot with.” Seungkwan said, returning to his usual self and winking at the end, causing Junhui to blush. Of course, it was Wonwoo he was talking about, they’ve been hanging out quite a lot that week, in addition to their weekly cafe ‘dates’. Who would have known they had so much in common, especially discussing the many books they’ve read. Junhui didn’t think the rest of his friends would have noticed though, seems like he was wrong.
---
Jaws dropped. Heads turned. Whispers whenever he walked past. What happened to the new kid and how did he suddenly become...hot?
Junhui was aware of all the commotion his entrance had made. The nervous side of him wanted to hide his face and run away from everyone’s attention. Bu the whole reason for his makeover was to give him a confidence booster, to remember he used to be an actor and that confidence was second nature to him. With that mindset, he stood a little straighter as he walked towards Wonwoo’s locker, which he always waited before walking to literature class together.
As Wonwoo saw him approach, his eyes initially glided past him paying no attention. Then he did a double-take and looked back at Junhui walking towards him, his eyes growing bigger by the second. As soon as Junhui reached him, Wonwoo’s mouth parted open in a daze.
“Wow kitten, I think I’m in love.”
Note: OOO some Verkwan in there, they’re like my second favourite ship to Wonhui so I just had to include some moments. Also Jun’s ‘makeover’ was just him from predebut to Jun now. Not that I had problems with his look during predebut but just for the plot of the story it's considered ‘ugly’. Aargh, Wonwoo’s reaction though, I’m really excited to write more interactions between them!

[ 365 Days of SasuHina || Day One Hundred Seventy-Two: Jumped the Fence ] [ Uchiha Sasuke, Hyūga Hinata ] [ SasuHina, vulgarity ] [ Verse: Best Years of Your Life ] [ AO3 Link ]
“Go go go!”
Sneakers slap against the pavement, dogs barking in the wee hours of the morning. Flashlight beams cut through the darkness, voices shouting.
Ahead of the pair of cops, several teenage boys run like their lives depend on it. Which, given the punishments some of their parents might give them for being out this late past curfew, they might as well be.
“Scatter!” one then calls as they reach the mouth of an alley. They all part in different directions, forcing the two on their tails to hesitate before splitting up.
Doing his best to even out his breathing, Sasuke pumps arms and heads for a fenced yard. In a swift movement he vaults the tall boards, landing with a roll on the other side. Scuttling backward, he leans against it, covering his mouth in the crook of his sleeve to stifle the sounds of his breath.
Through a few knots in the wood, a flashlight beams streaks back and forth, dotting the house a few yards forward. Hardly daring to breathe, Sasuke waits until it vanishes alongside the fading sounds of footsteps to take a deep breath, sagging against the fence.
He is gonna kill Naruto for talking him into this…
Just a little jaunt through that demolished building! See if they could find anything cool left behind after it was condemned. Something to do on a Friday night, right? And then out came spray cans, rocks thrown to break any lingering glass. Of course someone was going to hear and call the cops! A whole pack of teenage idiots was going to attract attention at nearly two in the morning!
Now he’s going to have to find a way back home and hope none of the ruckus reaches his neighborhood and wakes his parents. It’s one thing to be caught out of bed this late...another to be out of the house...and another to have been hanging out with Naruto and his delinquent friends.
Sure, Sasuke tries to be wise for his age, but...sometimes you just need to do something stupid. Even if he wasn’t aware it was going to be that stupid. Wandering around an empty building seemed fine until everyone else started breaking things and tagging the walls…
Bracing his arms atop his bent knees, he takes a moment to catch his breath, waiting until the sounds of the chase end completely. Head bowed, it lifts only as he hears a sound.
A sliding door opens along the rear of the house, directly across the yard from him. And from it steps a girl about his age.
Abruptly, she comes to a halt, staring at him.
He stares back.
Thankfully she doesn’t scream - just...looks at him, wide-eyed.
“...uh…” Shit, he’s trespassing. “Hey, look - I, I was just -”
“Hinata, what’s all the ruckus?” a masculine voice calls from behind her.
Glancing over her shoulder, she hesitates. “...just the neighbor’s d-dogs, Dad. I’ll...go check the back gate.”
“All right. Go back to bed when you’re done.” There’s vague mutterings about, “Too old for this - work in the morning…” before Hinata closes the door.
She then looks to Sasuke again, expression suspicious.
By now, he’s staggered to his feet, hands held up in a gesture of peace. “I, uh…”
“Why are you in my yard…?”
“I…” He vaguely knows her - another one of the masses at his high school. “I was out past curfew, and uh...had to hide from some...cops.”
Well that sounds like shit.
“...cops?”
“I-it wasn’t me! Naruto and all his stupid friends -”
“Wait, Naruto?”
“...yeah?”
Something shifts in her expression. “Is he...a friend of yours?”
“Yeah…?” Or at least he was - he’s gonna have an earful for that blond idiot when they meet again.
“...oh…”
“...a-anyway, he dragged me out to that stupid shut down building on fourteenth. Said something about just...checking it out. Then he and Kiba started breaking shit and spraypainting. Someone called it in, and we had to run. I...hid here until they left. I swear, I wasn’t -”
Her head shakes. “I-it’s fine, I...know what you mean.”
“Oh…” Well...good?
“Naruto and I went to the same elementary school. He was, um...r-rowdy then,” Hinata affirms, giving a quick quirk of her lips.
“Yeah, well...rowdy doesn’t cover it now,” Sasuke mutters.
“Sorry he dragged you into that...um...are you okay?”
“Yeah, fine. Just hoping my ass isn’t in deep shit when I get home.”
A brow perks at his coarse language. “Do you...live very far from here?”
“A few blocks - it won’t take me long. Just hope none of those morons went that way and woke everyone up.” Sasuke sighs, rubbing at the rear of his neck. “M’gonna kill that idiot tomorrow…”
“I’m sure his godfather will already have words for him,” Hinata assures, giving a nervous smile.
“I’d hope so...but given his behavior, it doesn’t seem to be sinking in,” he scowls in reply. “You think he’d learn by now…” A pause, and then, “...but I guess I go along with it too. Think I need to adjust my priorities.”
An awkward silence then settles over them.
“...well, I...better go,” he then admits, glancing aside.
“Yeah...I think my dad went to bed, but he’d be pretty f-freaked out to see a boy in our backyard at this hour,” Hinata admits, giggling into a hand.
“Don’t worry, I’d tell him I wasn’t here to steal away his daughter,” Sasuke can’t help but sarcastically reply, earning another laugh.
“If anything, that would surprise him less,” she assures him.
“Oh really?”
“I’m not exactly, um...popular. This is a lot more likely than a boy sneaking in to see me.”
A brow perks. Seriously? She seems nice enough, and...he’ll admit, she’s sorta cute. Not that he’s really one to date, either. Mostly because he has the exact opposite problem, admittedly. “Hard as that is to believe...pretty sure he’d be pissed some random kid was in his yard at two on the morning, especially if he figures out I had cops on my ass. One of those ‘damn hooligans’, right?”
At his first words, Hinata goes a light shade of pink. “W-well...at least you’re not Naruto…?”
“Guilty by association, I’d bet.”
“M-maybe…”
Behind them, a light turns on in the second storey, and both turns look to it in surprise.
“Y-you better go!” Hinata insists, moving forward to shoo him toward a gate in the corner.
“All right, all right - maybe I’ll see y’around?”
“So long as it’s not this late,” she mutters in reply, earning a snort. “G-go!”
“I’m gone,” he assures her, giving a mock salute as she shuts it behind him.
“Hinata?” her father calls from the rear door.
“S-sorry! Uh...there was a racoon in the trash.”
“Don’t bother with that now, it’s late. Get inside and get to bed.”
“Coming!”
Listening as the door shuts behind her, Sasuke then looks up, watching until all the lights go off. Giving the street a glance, he finally finds it quiet. Well...time to head home and hope his dad isn’t gonna skin him alive. Naruto’s going to get his ass chewed out tomorrow...if he didn’t get caught, that is.
Sighing, he starts for home, sticking to the side roads to avoid being spotted. Well...at least he knows a good place to hide the next time Naruto gets him into trouble.
...maybe he wouldn’t mind it then.
                                                             .oOo.
Well this is a lil rushed xD Busy day! But at least the prompt was actually pretty easy to come up with a story for. Poor Sasuke...always letting Naruto drag him into his shenanigans. But hey...at least he met a cute girl, right? ;3c      Anywhooo, I need sleep! Thanks for reading n_n

[ ♡♡♡ ]
Oh wow!! Thank you so much for asking!! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
[The Silence of the Lambs: What was something that you used to be afraid of that you aren’t afraid of anymore?] Bridges! I used to have nightmares where my mom drove off a bridge and died (which was very not cool)
[It: What do you believe in?] If this means religion, then I’m a norse pagan! If it’s supernatural things in general; I do believe in fairies, ghosts, etc.
[The Nightmare on Elm Street: Have you ever had problems sleeping? Any nightmares?] Yea, I can’t sleep probably when it’s warm outside. As for nightmares, sometimes yes, usually something about insects coming out of my body. (Very uncool, brain.)
[Friday the Thirteenth: What would you do for those you love?] I really don’t know hjkgkjdfghjdf
[Psycho: What was your childhood like?] It was okay, I mostly remember playing with my toys by myself and talking to myself. School was hell, but that’s nothing new lol.
[Texas Chainsaw Massacre: If you could go into the past and change anything, what would you change?] I wouldn’t change anything, since I believe that the outcome of the thing you changed would be way worse.
[The Ring: What’s your favorite tv show? What do you think about the effect of media on people?] Probably Vikings (Only the first 2 seasons) and Peaky Blinders. Media can and does effect people, in good and bad ways alike. (insert essay here)
[Saw: If you were given only one week to live, how would you spend it?] Oof I’d love to travel to Ireland and then stay in a little cottage here and die alone hgjkdfhgjkfdgf
[Scream: Are you excited for the future?] Absolutely not, I really don’t want to work lmao but here’s to hoping we will all be fine!
[Dr. Giggles: If you had to lose a body part, which one would you choose and why?] My feet and/or legs. Because feet are disgusting and I have a phobia of them hjdskhfjds
[The Amityville Horror: Why do you like your favorite book as much as you do?]  Hmm. My favourite books are The Witcher series and Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I suppose the worldbuilding and characters in the Witcher just feel very real to me? As for Heartless, I love suffering and Alice in Wonderland, soooo (also the writing in both are excellent)
[Silent Hill: If you could go anywhere without worrying about money, where would you go? Where are some places that reality feels distorted for you?] OOO definitely Ireland (I just wanna go there okay hjdshjgks). Oh this one’s fun, autobahn at night, parking lots at night, just anywhere in my ugly german town at night.
[The Conjuring: If you could learn any new skill, what would you learn?] Embroidery or something other handcrafty!!
[Insidious: When you were a child, what job did you want when you got older? What job do you have now? Do you like it? Why or why not? If you could have any job, what would it be?] I wanted to be a paleontologist from age 3 to like 12??? I don’t have a job rn, but we’re gonna have some rehab interviews soon! I would love to be an author though jkfghdjkf
[Cooties: How well do you protect against germs? Do you get sick often?] I don’t really hgjkdfhgjd, I do get colds a lot, which is annoying.
[The Babadook: What is something keeping you from truly being happy?] Capitalism!
[Annabelle: What did you do for fun as a child?] Playing Uno against myself.
[Black Christmas: What’s your favorite holiday? Why is it your favorite? What are some good memories you have with it?] HALLOWEEEEEN!!! It’s just great, I get to watch horror movies without feeling weird!! I get to tell people about the actual history of it!!! (people being: my mom). I watch all my fave horror films every year through the night, which is great!
[Hellraiser: Are some lives worth more than others?] Not really
[Silent Night, Bloody Night: What’s your least favorite holiday? Why is it your least favorite?] I hate Easter a lot hgjkhgjfkd It’s just christian nonsense (that they stole but whatever).
[Children of the Corn: Do you believe in a higher power?] I believe in Norse gods, but I don’t really think of them as higher powers? They’re just friendly dudes that don’t really have any actual power in MIdgard. (Odin, if you’re listening, don’t kill me for this hgjfkdghjkdf)
[Carrie: Have you ever been told something you didn’t want to be/gotten news you didn’t want to?]  I don’t really know, I guess every time my mother tells me about dead babies and animals jklsjgdsfs
[Cloverfield: If you were in the zombie apocalypse/alien invasion, would you hide, and if so, where would you hide? What group of people would you want with you through this?] I honestly don’t know if I would hide, I think I’d try to kill some zombies and talk to aliens hjkhjdfsjkgds Also since I don’t have any friends irl I would try to stay in contact with my tumblr friends
[Halloween: What is your favorite thing to wear (example: jacket, hat, gloves, a specific shirt)] When it’s cold outside: leggings, black skirt, tank top + crop sweater (that says “witch” on it). When it’s warm and I’m sweating my tiddies off (like right now): blue skirt (or the black one, depends on my mood), white shirt, and white sneakers.
[The Haunting: Have you ever been convinced that your house is haunted or that a ghost or other villain was after you?] I do think there is 1 ghost in my room that steals my water bottles and other tiny things. (Or maybe it’s a fairy. I don’t know.)
[Paranormal Activity: Do you believe in the supernatural?] Yes!
[Evil Dead: Who is someone you look up to and why?] I don’t look up to anyone specifically? So, idk
[The Exorcist: What’s your relationship with your parents?] Me and my dad are kinda distant, because I’m too awkward to talk to him and he’s too stupid. Me and my mom are cool with each other, unless we talk about politics, soooo

Six and Three Quarters
Tumblr media
@ladyinsertnamehere Fluff and angst challenge: Give me a prompt for angst, I turn it into fluff and vice versa. This wasn’t really a fluff, more hurt/comfort, but I dON’T WRITE FLUFF OKAY? This also got very much away from me; don’t expect all my answers to these to be 2k+ words long. More notes at the end.
Word count: 2628
Trigger warnings: implied abuse, not good boyfriends, implied alcoholism, brief description of a drunk dude. If there’s anything else, let me know!
“Jenny, shut up!”
“You shut up.”
“No, you shut up!”
“Nuh-uh!”
“Yuh huh!”
“Emma—”
Both of us fell into silence at the loud creak of footsteps on the stairs. Our argument forgotten, we watched Emma’s Mommy’s Friend come down the stairs. He was stumbling a little. I wondered why; sometimes when I was a princess, I would spin around and around, but then I felt all swirly inside and tripped like he did now.
“…stupid bitch, never lets me…” His words were stumbling, too. Maybe he was tired.
The front door slammed. Emma jumped at the noise, but even though I was littler, I didn’t jump at all because I was a big girl (six and three quarters). I turned towards Emma, wanting to restart our conversation, but she shushed me. I huffed and leaned against the wall, deciding to be mad at her.
The crickets were singing very loudly tonight. I looked up at the window behind me to see them, but I got distracted by blinking fireflies. I couldn’t see them very well, though, so I twisted my body to lift my head up further to the window, but Emma pulled me down.
“Jen, can you stay still for one minute?”
I opened my mouth to argue, but her face looked so sad and scared. So instead, I hugged her. “I’m sorry, Em.”
“I forgive you,” she whispered after a moment. I was glad about this; I disliked being mad at her, and she was way too cool to be mad at anyhow.
I pulled away. “So what are we gonna do?”
“I want to make Mommy happy,” Emma began, chewing her lip. “But I don’t know how.”
“We could make her a gift?” I offered.
“We don’t have any money or anything, though.” I gazed at my feet. This was certainly a dilemma; Emma didn’t have a lot of crayons at her house, and I was running out of my arts and crafts supplies that Santa had gotten me last Christmas.
“I don’t like your house,” I said instead.
“Me neither.”
“Do you want to sleep at my house?”
“Yeah.”
In a couple of minutes, we had quickly gathered our things in our backpacks and went out the back door, closing it quietly. The night was even hotter out here, and I spotted all kinds of insects that I had to resist the urge to investigate. I could hear the crickets making their music around us, though. We walked along the little path we had created in the long grass, and even through my new sneakers, I could feel how hot the packed dirt was. It was a short trip, however, so we were saved from the summer heat soon.
Emma twisted the doorknob and we were hit with blissful air conditioning. The door closed with a click, and we kicked off our shoes gratefully. Our bags were left behind as we tiptoed into my living room on sock-covered feet.
“Daddy should be sleeping now, and Papa is probably working,” I told Emma. I know sometimes she’s nervous about my dads, even though I tell her there is nothing to be afraid of.
“Okay,” she whispered. I could still hear the crickets, but they were muffled now. I jumped onto the couch, pulling Emma up with me, and we began our epic contest to see who could jump the highest. Finally, we were too tired to keep going, so we fell, giggling, onto the couch.
And then we were quiet. The night sounds overtook us, and we laid there and listened to them. I was beginning to drift off when Emma murmured, “I wish I was a bird so I could fly away.”
“I wish you wouldn’t,” I murmured back. “Then who would I bounce with?”
For the second time, we heard footsteps on the stairs, and Emma tensed. I could hear the difference between them, though; these steps were softer, more deliberate.
“Jennifer? Emmaline?” Papa had rounded the corner. He looked tired, maybe even more tired than us, but he also looked happy to see us, so I took that as a good sign. “Did you walk home?”
“Uh huh!” I announced proudly, but then I remembered that we weren’t supposed to do that. “Uh, maybe not huh?”
He chuckled, and I relaxed. “Well, I am glad you are both here, but it is way past your bedtimes, girls. How about we adjourn to our beds?”
“But we were going to get Emma’s mommy something nice.”
“Is that so?” He strode over and sat next to us.
“Uh huh. Emma’s Mommy’s birthday is tomorrow, and Emma wanted her to be happy, but we don’t have any money or anything, and—” I glanced at Emma a second too late and closed my mouth hastily.
“Hmm.” Papa, either ignoring or not noticing my sudden stop, scratched his beard thoughtfully. “Well, have you considered doing something nice instead?”
“Uh…I don’t think so.”
“How about we bring her over for breakfast tomorrow?”
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Emma open her mouth to protest, but I cut her off.
“Yeah, that would be super good.”
“Great!” He clapped and stood up. “Now, off to bed. Let’s go, let’s go, hurry up…”
-oOo-
When I woke up, Emma was sitting in the window seat and staring into my backyard. I sat up in my bed, and Emma looked around at me. Before I could say anything, she glared and turned back to the window.
“Emma?” She said nothing. “Emma, what is it?” I slid out of bed and onto the floor, walking right up next to her. She still didn’t answer.
I crossed my arms. “You better tell me right now.”
For a moment, nothing, but then she muttered, “Leave me alone.”
“What? Why?”
“‘Cause.”
I uncrossed my arms. She didn’t seem very happy, and she wouldn’t look at me. I clambered onto the seat in front of her so she was staring straight at me.
“Emma, what is it?”
She pulled her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs. She was hurting, I could see that, but I didn’t know how to help her. After a couple seconds, I tapped her elbow to remind her I was there. “Just go away,” she mumbled.
“No way!”
“Jen—”
“I’m not gonna!” I interrupted.
“GO AWAY!” Emma had tears in her eyes. She had balled her hands into fists and was glaring at me.
I felt…bad. I didn’t mean to hurt her more. I didn’t know what I was supposed to do. I didn’t…want to leave her here. She was always alone. I didn’t want her to be alone.
Slowly, I reached out and took her hand. She tensed a little, but then gradually unclenched her fist. The anger flashing in her eyes bled away. The morning light illuminated our hands and all of a sudden she pulled me into a hug.
“I-I’m sorry, Jen, I j-just—” Emma shuddered, and I realized she was crying. I tightened my grip and buried my face into her hair. She smelled like earth and something sweet I couldn’t define.
We stayed like that for some time, and it was then that I promised to myself that I would never let anything happen to her.
-oOo-
I was careful on the way down the steps. I could hear quiet voices, but I didn’t want them to see me yet. Reaching the bottom, I saw Papa sitting at the table next to Emma’s Mommy, who sat at the end of the table. Daddy came into view with three steaming cups of coffee, and Emma’s Mommy wrapped her hands around one of them. Her eyes were red-rimmed, and for a moment I was tempted to burst out and hug her. Something told me, though, that I should stay hidden — or at least for now.
“Marie, you know you and your daughter are always welcome here,” Daddy said in a warm voice.
“Yes, I know. I-I’ve been… I’m sorry, I should have come sooner—”
“Do not apologize,” interrupted Papa firmly. “You are not to blame in this situation.”
She gave a small smile. “Yes, I…thank you kindly, Isaac.” She lifted her mug to her lips to hide her face, which was a shame because Emma’s Mommy was pretty when she smiled.
Daddy slid into the seat next to her and across from Papa. “Honey,” he directed at Papa, “could you make us breakfast? I don’t want to burn down the kitchen again.”
All three of them chuckled. “Of course,” Papa replied. He got up and made his way out of my sight. I could hear sizzling begin.
“Emmaline is a sweet kid,” Daddy commented.
Emma’s Mommy smiled and nodded, staring into her cup. “I’m glad she has Jennifer. Heaven knows what I would do without your baby girl around, Trevor.”
“Neither would we,” Daddy agreed.
Someone knocked on the front door. Emma’s Mommy stilled and Daddy touched her shoulder lightly. “I’ll go check who it is,” he reassured her.
Daddy got up and walked out of sight. I heard the front door open.
"Good morning, Jay."
"Yeah, sure. Uh, is Marie over here?"
There was a pause.
"…I'm not sure that's your—"
"So she is."
"Excuse me, I—"
Emma’s Mommy's Friend came into the dining room, then. He didn't seem happy. Emma's Mommy didn't seem happy either. I wondered why they spent so much time around each other.
"Marie, c'mon, let's go," he ordered. Emma's Mommy didn't move, though. He made some movement towards her, but then Papa stepped between them, still gripping his spatula.
"Jay."
"Isaac."
I've never seen Papa look that way before. He was standing like he wouldn't move if the Earth was on fire.
"I am afraid I will have to insist you leave."
Emma’s Mommy's Friend shifted from foot to foot. "Yeah. Yeah, alright. Okay." His eyes shifted from Papa to Emma's Mommy. Then he turned on his heel and walked out of sight.
I heard the front door slam, and there was a moment of silence before Daddy strode over to Emma's Mommy and hugged her tightly. Papa watched them for a moment before returning to the kitchen. Daddy was making soothing noises and so was distracted as I crept out from my hiding place. I ran silently through the dining room and then through the kitchen where Papa's back was turned towards the sizzling stove. I nudged open the front door and ran down the front steps.
The morning dew made all the high grass wet as I ran through it, and the morning sunlight cast pretty shadows across everything. Eventually, I caught up to Emma’s Mommy's Friend.
"Hey!" I yelled. He looked around but couldn't see me in the tall grass, so I yelled again.
His eyes found me. "What the f—"
"I really like mornings. How about you?" I remembered Daddy telling me that you should always ask other people things because people talk more about themselves.
"Go away."
Apparently, that was going to be more difficult than I thought it was. He trudged along the path and I followed behind.
"Emma is really cool. She's my best friend. Do you have a best friend?"
He didn't even look at me this time, he just sped up. "Go. Away."
This was getting to be more work than I thought it was. "Best friends are super duper important because they can keep all your secrets and you can have sleepovers and you have someone to play with."
“Shut up,” he growled.
“You shut up,” I fired back. We had reached Emma's house.
“Leave me alone!” He slammed Emma’s front door shut, and I hesitated, but only for a second because I was six and three quarters and still had things I wanted to say. I pushed open the door to see him climbing the first few steps.
"Daddy and Papa are the best ever. They take care of each other and me and all their friends and all my friends. Do you do that, too?"
He paused on the steps and turned back around. "Would you just go away?"
I ignored him. "Well, they do that. They love each other very much. Do you love Emma's Mommy, too?"
He stumbled over his words for a moment. "I— what— why are you—"
"You're not that nice, you know," I stated matter-of-factly.
He found his voice again. "Why the hell do I care what you think?"
I frowned at that. "Because…because I don't think you want to be mean. I think you're just…a little lost. I got lost in a store one time and I remember that was super scary. I was angry, too. I didn't wanna be lost anymore, but I didn't know how. And then Daddy came and found me and everything was okay again. I think you need someone like that, too."
He stood fixed on the steps staring at me. I stared back because I didn't know what else to do. He opened his mouth and closed it again. After another few seconds, he turned and climbed the steps. I watched him go.
My stomach rumbled. I ran out the door and along the path and up my front steps and then stopped. Papa was sitting in a chair on the porch. He was eating an omelet from his plate. On the table between him and another chair was another plate with breakfast on it.
"Sit down, please."
I bit my lip. I was pretty sure I did something bad; I shouldn't have left the house without Papa's permission. Silently, I sat in the chair across from him.
"Eat your omelet."
I grabbed the fork next to my plate and ate my food, glancing up at Papa to see exactly how much trouble I was in. His face remained neutral. As soon as I finished, Papa leaned on the table and examined me. I squirmed in my seat.
"That was a very brave thing you did, Jennifer."
I stopped squirming and looked at him, stunned. "I'm not in trouble?"
"No, you are not in trouble. You already know what you have done wrong, but you did it for a good reason." Papa smiled, and I smiled back. I wasn't quite sure what he was talking about, but I wasn't in trouble and Papa was proud of me. He gestured for me to come over to him, and I jumped out of my chair and into his lap.
Daddy came through the front door. "Honey? Where—" He laid eyes upon us and chuckled. "Hey there, Junebug."
I hopped out of Papa's lap and ran to Daddy, who enveloped me in a big hug. I felt safe and warm. He murmured in my ear, "How about we go get some ice cream?"
Naturally, I jumped up and down screaming "yesyesyesyesyes!"
"Alright then, go get in the car. Emmaline has just come downstairs."
I raced down the steps and out to the driveway where the car was waiting. I pulled open the door and got inside. I saw Papa discussing something with Daddy, who was getting emotional. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something move over at Emma's house.
Emma’s Mommy's Friend was coming out of the door again. He was carrying some kind of bag. I saw him get into his car and pull out of the driveway, the car becoming smaller and smaller in the distance. When I looked back at my house, I saw Emma and her Mommy on the front steps, too, and all of them were walking towards the car.
Wherever Emma’s Mommy's Friend went, I hope he would be less lost and I hope Emma's Mommy had a good birthday. Meanwhile, Emma and I had some ice cream to eat.
DISCLAIMER: Bad parents are not always going to have this kind of reaction. Don’t use this as an example for your own life; if you’re going to take something from this, take away that there are other people and other people’s parents who can and will support you. Be safe. <3
Hello yes I do exist in the real world maybe. This is my first fic that’s even close to fluff (not counting Celine and Damien’s Gift), and I did this challenge because I wanted to expand my abilities. Fun fact about the characters: Daddy/Trevor is panro ace, and Papa/Isaac is bisexual. Representation. It was super difficult to write from a young child’s point of view. And Emma’s Mommy’s Friend/Jay didn’t do physical abuse, more along the lines of verbal abuse. It also wasn’t intentional on his part. Don’t get me wrong, he’s not a good dude, but he’s not, y’know, being a dick because he wants to be, is all. I just finished a couple minutes ago from my perspective so just take it oooof I need to eat lunch now

Request: Hey I really love your writing :) so I was wondering if you could possibly do number 3 for Brian (Day6) <3 thank youu
3) “I’d be a terrible person if I let you do something stupid alone.”
Prompt list can be found here!
Member: Day6′s Young K x Y/N
Type: Fluff
You had been asleep for what had to have been four hours when your cell phone began to ring. In a strange median between sleep and awake, your hand fumbled in the darkness, uncertain of what it was really searching for, but knowing you needed to stop the noise blasting from the darkness. You let out a whine as your eyes attempted to adjust, but were only met with the bright light of your screen.
“Why?” you croaked, glancing at the time on the clock beside your bed. “Why would someone do this to me?”
The digital, red numbers clearly stated it was somewhere around 2 am.
“Someone better be dead or critically injured,” you rasped into the phone as you slid the bar at the bottom to answer. You hadn’t even realized who you were answering, but it didn’t take long to figure out.
“Be still my heart,” your boyfriend gasped, his face filling your screen. “For I’ve never seen true beauty til this night.”
You squinted at the screen, noting your disheveled hair in the small camera facing you. You couldn’t even see your eyes as they were still offended by the light shining toward you, and there was a small line of drool still trailing from the corner of your mouth.
“I don’t know about beauty,” you hissed. “But you’re about to see a whole lot of angry if this isn’t an urgent situation. And I’m not talking about the urgency like two weeks ago when Wonpil got stuck in the washing machine. And no, I’d still rather not know the details, so don’t bother offering them.”
“This is urgent,” Brian hummed, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Like a three-alarm fire.”
“Younghyun,” you groaned, using his name as a complaint rather than a pronoun. “This better be good.”
“Get dressed,” he nodded. “Meet me downstairs, okay?”
“Are you serious?” you grunted. “I really hope you aren’t.”
“Jagi,” Brian whined. “Don’t you looooove me?”
“Love has nothing to do with me getting out of bed right now,” you argued. “You have a key. If something is so important, come upstairs.”
“While I love the idea of joining you in bed,” he giggled. “I really need you dressed and downstairs.”
“I shouldn’t have answered,” you gasped. “I should have turned my phone on silent and rolled over.”
“Your words hurt me,” Brian pouted.
“My fists will hurt you once I’m downstairs,” you grumbled. “This better be good, Brian.”
You hung up the phone and let out another groan. You couldn’t believe that he had called so late in the evening, or so early in the morning, you weren’t sure what to qualify the time as. As an idol, Brian often forgot that other people lived fairly normal lifestyles and worked in the confines of typical 9 to 5 days. In general, you tried to be in bed by 10 pm and awake again by 7 am. Often times, Brian was awake and working during those hours.
You slid across your mattress and shivered as your bare feet hit the floor. You stumbled as you attempted to slide your feet into your slippers and waddle across the room. Pulling on a pair of jeans you had abandoned on the floor only hours before, you grabbed one of the sweatshirts Brian had last left in your apartment and tugged it on. You ran your fingers through your tangled hair and sighed. If it was so important, this would have to do.
You exchanged your slippers for a pair of sneakers at the door and began your painful descent down the stairs. Your legs still begged to be asleep, so as each knee braced for impact, your body internally screamed. After a few minutes, you finally managed to make it down the last flight and saw Brian smiling on the sidewalk.
“Jagi, I-”
“What is it? Are you sick? Is Jae sick? Oh no, did you all lose Dowoon again?” you muttered, your eyes searching his face. “Why are you here? What is the emergency?”
“The emergency is,” Brian sighed, taking a small step toward you. “I haven’t seen you face to face in days. And I missed being able to look into your eyes and-”
“BRIAN KANG SO HELP ME,” you nearly screeched, pushing angrily at his chest only to have him grasp onto your wrists gently, but sternly.
“It was an emergency jagi,” he cooed softly, pulling you to him again, his face only inches from yours. “I thought my heart would stop.”
“You don’t get to make me mad, and then be cute,” you muttered, your eyes incapable of leaving his lips. You thought if you were to look away, your own heart would surely stop as well.
“I’m not cute,” he smirked. “That’s your job in this relationship. You have enough cute for the both of us.”
With his simple words, he closed the distance between the two of you and placed his lips softly to yours. He let out a small chuckle, incapable of keeping his joy to himself as he kissed you again, repeatedly pausing to let a smile find his lips. You adored that about Brian. When he kissed you, there was always a grin hiding somewhere along his mouth. Kissing someone while they were smiling was the most breathtaking feeling, especially if that someone was Brian.
His large hands reached up, not only cupping your jaw, but also locking you in place. You let out a light groan as you accepted your defeat. Now that your wrists were free, you allowed yourself to tangle your arms around his neck and lean into his kiss. Noting his victory, he kissed you more passionately than before, sending small licks and bites toward your bottom lip until he began to giggle again.
“What,” you muttered, kissing the corner of his mouth lightly.
“I’m not in trouble,” he chuckled, kissing you again. You felt his hand slide down your back and pat your butt lightly as he smiled.
You pulled away from him, but he kept you tight in his arms. “I still don’t understand why I had to get out of bed.”
“Simple,” he nodded. “You’re coming to get food with me.”
“It’s two am,” you croaked, searching his face again. “What is even open at two am?”
“Surprisingly, more than you think,” he smiled. “I know it’s stupid to go wandering the streets of Seoul at night...but-”
“I’d be a terrible person if I let you do something stupid alone,” you chimed, rolling your eyes at the familiar phrase Brian was constantly throwing your way.
“Okay, so maybe when I said more things would be open at 2 am...I was being liberal with my phrasing,” Brian winced. You both stood outside of the 7/11, the only building in a five mile radius that actually served anything hot at this hour of night. You stared up at the neon and flashing advertisements and sighed.
“Sure, there are plenty of things open,” you grumbled. “Night clubs and bars.”
“I could get my dance on,” he winked, elbowing you softly.
“For your sake, I’m going to assume your joking,” you muttered. You looped your pinkie in his and tugged him toward the entrance of the store.
“Can I interest you in some Soju?” Brian grinned, motioning to the small, but impressive arrangement of alcohol facing you as soon as you entered the store. “Perhaps a sip of Jack Daniels?”
“Is that the goal here?” you asked, lifting your brows. “Get me liquored up so you can have your way with me?”
Brian grinned, biting his lip as he leaned toward your ear. “I don’t need you liquored up to do that, baby girl.”
“Listen here, Kang,” you spluttered, feeling a fire light in your stomach. “I have no idea what has gotten into you, but if you think it’s okay to just-”
Brian remained tilted toward you, cutting off your words with a quick kiss directly beneath your ear. “I just missed you is all.”
You let out another groan and stomped your foot as if you were a small child, causing the shop owner to shoot a weary glance in your direction.
“Why are you like this?” you whispered.
“You like it,” he grinned, placing his fingers between yours again.
“I don’t know who lied to you,” you muttered. “But your cuteness is pretty inconvenient.”
“You can claim you don’t like it all you want,” he teased. “I know the truth in your heart - Ooo! Butter-grilled squid!”
“The constant poet,” you sighed, rolling your eyes. Brian surged forward and began flipping through an array of dried fish and squid. You pulled your hand from his and found yourself wandering toward the ramen and tteokbokki. After making your selections, you were met at the front of the store by a patient Brian who held an armful of snacks.
“Do you think you have enough yogurt?” you grinned, noticing the dozen or so bottles of liquid in his arms. “That’ll last you until your thirty at least.”
“Eh, I’m thinking closer to 24,” he smiled. “I’m bringing some back for the members.”
You scrunched your brows, only releasing them once you noticed Brian’s face change as well. He went from a smiling puppy to concerned mother in a matter of moments. “What’s wrong?” he hummed.
“I just...I kind of thought you would come upstairs when we got back to my apartment,” you whispered, looking down to the floor. You knew it was silly to pout over something so small, but you had honestly hoped for an evening of cuddling once Brian’s escapades had ended for the night.
Yes, cuddles were what you wanted.
Well...mostly.
He lifted his brows, realization crossing his handsome face. “Oh...OH.”
You had to hold in your cackle as Brian darted across the 7/11 with lightning speed. He placed all but two yogurts back into the refrigerated case and sprinted back to you. “Right. Back to your place. Totally cool with that plan.”
“I mean, if you’re too tired, I completely understand,” you sighed, trying to hide the smile on your face. “You can deliver the yogurt to your members and go to bed.”
“Oh no, I’m completely awake,” he nodded. “So awake. Like fifty shades of awake.”
You let a giggle escape your lips and shuffled toward the counter, setting your items down beside his. “Are you sure? You can always come over another night?”
“That won’t be necessary,” he nodded. “I mean, yes, I would like to come over another night...but like in addition to coming over tonight.”
“Well, if your positive,” you hummed, glancing up at him through your lashes.
You watched as his breath caught and his cheeks began to turn red. “I have never been more positive about anything in the entirety of my existence.”

I like to be comfy a lot so I always enjoy wearing leggings or ripped jeans on most days and an oversized top! I can be girly sometimes and wear skirts and dresses occasionally but then the next day I go back to wearing sneakers and jean jackets with ripped pants along with maybe fishnets under if i’m feeling it :p I like to mostly be covered? me, the only Floridian out there who enjoys dressing like it’s winter 24/7..

Commission - Man’s Best Flying Friend
Dogs are cool and all but birds are where its at: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/25141850/
-----
“Ooo dude, look at this one. This one is blue and yellow. And oh that’s a great green one” a young man excitedly said to his friend. He was ogling pictures of birds online. “Why are we looking up birds on the internet Scott?” his friend answered. “Because Travis, I will soon be living on my own. I am finally an honest and true adult who can make their own decisions. I go to bed when I want, I can leave the toilet seat up, but most importantly, I can get a pet.” “Scott you already slept whenever you wanted and you DID leave the toilet seat up. More than once” Travis recalled annoyed. His friend at least had the decency to look faux ashamed. “Sorry about not warning you there haha” he laughed remembering. “All I heard was a loud sploosh and your yelling and then-” he said stopping at his friend’s glare. “Aheh right, so birds, love em, gonna get one of these bad boys” Scott said trying to change the subject. “When are you moving into your new place anyway?” Travis asked getting up from the living room sofa. He headed to the pantry pulling out a box of cookies. “Next week and I can wait!” his friend said pumping his fist into the air. “Don’t get me wrong I love ya but a man needs his own space.” Travis laughed rejoining him in the living room. “Yeah, I gathered.” “Hey, you wanna come with me to the pet store when I go pick one up?” he asked. “Sure, when?” Scott scrolled through his phone looking at the move in schedule. “Uhhh, I think my tv and stuff get there around noon, so anything after 1 next Tuesday okay?” “Yeah no problem.” Travis replied eating another cookie.
The following week Travis showed up to Scott’s new place. He was there early to get able to see the house before they headed to the mall. The outside of the townhouse was pretty impressive. Lawn was freshly cut, bushes and surrounding plants full of life, even the neighbors seemed cool. Scott answered the door practically beaming in excitement. “Please, enter my humble abode” he said bowing and stepping back. Travis rolled his eyes walking in. Taking a look around the place Travis had to admit, his friend did a good job decorating the house. Framed movie posters plastered the living wall surrounding the homemade entertainment system. Scott’s decent sized flat screen fitting snug between the two speakers. “Movie nights are officially at your house now” Travis looking around the house more. Scott laughed showing him the rest of the house. It wasn’t a long tour with the place only being two levels. “It’s small but cozy. Totally perfect for me and my soon to be ‘new’ buddy” he said nudging Travis with his elbow. Travis raised a confused eyebrow before checking the time on his phone. “Speaking of which we should get a move on” he told his friend. He grabbed his keys off the coffee table. “Yeah no problem. Let me just grab my jacket and wallet” Scott said running upstairs to the bedroom. When he came back down he had his coat on and carried two water bottles with him. “Hydrate up dude” he said tossing one to Travis. He fumbled it not expecting the sudden pass. “Oh yeah, it is pretty hot out today, thanks.” Travis unscrewed the cap and took a long swig of the water. Scott giddily watched expectantly drinking his own water.
The drive to the mall didn’t take long with where Scott was living now. The pet store was on the first floor but almost near the back. The place, unlike other stores at the mall, was enclosed like an actual store. Scott explained the reasoning being something about the noise level of the rowdier animals. Travis only nodded along. Puppies could be seen from the glass window pane pawing at the glass and pouncing on one another. Onlookers gushed over the young canines and their antics. The inside of the store was much more expansive. Pet supplies, food and toys lie on shelves all around. The sounds of various animal calls could be heard throughout the store. A couple of bunnies in a glass tank wrinkled their noses at the newcomers while some hamsters popped up from the bedding in their playground. “D’aww, look at the puppies” Scott said going over to enclosure there. He picked up one of the pups and cuddled it close. The puppy licked his face and poked his cheek with a paw. “I thought we were here for birds not dogs” Travis said raising an amused brow. “Touche my good man. But no one on earth can resist an opportunity to cuddle a puppy” Scott said carefully placing the pup back in the pin. Travis trailed his friend as he led him further towards the back of the store. Soon, the bird section came into view. All sorts of birds could be seen from the different cages. Some lovebirds were playing a friendly game of tug-of-war with a squeaky toy. A cockatiel was grooming itself with its beak. Some parakeets were playing hide and seek in a multi window bird house. But Scott had his eye on one species in particular. Thinking of earlier, he smiled knowing he’ll have the perfect one very soon. “Hi, can I help you?” a woman’s voice came from behind them. She was wearing a simple shirt with jeans and an apron. A nametag reading Julie lie on the left breast pocket. “Hey Julie” Scott said coming from behind his friend. “I’m here about earlier. I think it’s around that time” he told her. Travis look at his friend confused. But he found it harder to retain attention on one thing since coming to the mall. It was like his mind wanted to be in a bunch of different places at once. Julie smiled knowingly. “Sure thing Scott. Follow me to the back” she said moving past them to the steel door down the aisle. Travis thought it weird but went along with it following his friend and Julie to the back room. Beyond the door was a medium sized room with a concrete floor and a couch. A table with an elegant looking white bird cage sat on it. “So where’s the bird?” Travis asked once again confused. He picked a stray feather from his hand surprised at the slight sting he felt. His mind darted around the door taking it in. He has a strange passing thought of how fun it would be to fly around it. “Hm? Oh, right. Julie here is gonna get it, meanwhile we can sit here and relax” Scott answered taking a seat on the couch. “Be back in a flash” she said leaving them in the room. A resounding click could be heard. “Did she jus-” Travis began before clutching his throat. He felt tongue tied as if he was swallowing it. His lips throbbed in pain as well. “Ah, so it’s starting with your beak. Interesting” Scott nonchalantly commented. “Wha……tartin?” Travis tried forcing out. As the throbbing in his lips continued, they puckered up slightly and darkened in color. “Oh, I guess I did purposely leave that out. Well I didn’t lie. I did come here for a new pet bird. It just happens to turn out that it’s YOU buddy” Scott said grinning. Travis’ eyes went wide in shock. “ow..ven…ssible” Travis tried emitting as his vocal cords rearranged. “How is it possible?” he repeated faux comprehending. “Well, Julie there is a witch specializing in transformation magic. What luck right? I’d say about half the animals here are some unfortunate souls” he said laughing. “Tur….me..ba-AK” Travis said in a panicked squawk. “Sorry buddy no can do, but maybe if you ask nicely, Julie will haha.” Travis started to lunge for him friend before looking down at alien hands. His fingers lost their nails and started growing the same feathers like the one he plucked off himself earlier. They snaked their way along the tops of his fingers. Vibrant, green feathers also started blossoming around his neck and arms. He was so enraptured in shock he hadn’t noticed Scott helping him out of his clothes. “You won’t be needing these soon anyway” he said folding up his shirt and shorts. He simply tossed the old sneakers next to the couch. Travis was left in his underwear where the same colored feathers stretched down to his legs before stopping just above his ankles. Scale-like patterns formed along the tops of Travis’ feet as he tried desperately to pluck himself free of the growing feathers on his arms. They just kept growing in more rapidly now forming a dense coating of green. His pinky toes throbbed and Travis stopped his plucking to look down at them fusing into his other toes. He felt a slight pain as his outside toes deformed and curled outward. The nails darkened and grew out much longer and curled before stopping. His feet had turned into the perfect talons for gripping food and cages. Red feathers grew out along his elongating forehead with white specks surrounding the top of his forming beak. His puckered lips grew out as well with his face. His top lip becoming more prominent than the bottom and curved downwards. Travis felt a headache forming as he rapidly blinked his shrinking eyes. With every blink, his field of vision changed. He found his peripheral vision improving greatly but lacking much else. Travis’ hearing also increased. He could hear the leaky pipes of the barren room and Scott’s amused chuckles. “This is even better than I thought” he laughed. Travis glared at his friend until the muscles in his new eyes prevented him from doing so anymore. The green feathers covering Travis’ body started to change color in certain places. The tips of his new hands, now ends of his growing wings, brightened into a sky blue color. Below the tips of his former palms the feathers lightened in a brilliant yellow. Travis crouched over himself baring his tailbone which was steadily growing out. The assortment of colored feather snaking up the length until it too, was covered in a bouquet of color. Travis now looked like he was wearing the most realistic macaw costume. “This is the best part” Scott piped up. Scott looked up at his friend confused. Who was this man? The face was familiar but his changing mind couldn’t place a name to it. Scott started growing much larger before him. The man seeming giant to him in a matter of moments. The underwear he was wearing now nearly suffocating him. “I made sure you didn’t feel any pain once the shrinking part happened” Scott said coming over to the confused military macaw. He scooped up the animal out from the discarded clothing in his hands and pet the bird soothingly. Travis was confused and scared before calming before the steady pattern of pets he received from the nice man. The nice man walked over to the white cage and opened the door before depositing Travis on a comfy perch. The new macaw nearly lost his footing trying to keep balance. Panicked flapping of brightly colored wings sent feathers falling to the ground. Travis got his footing after a while and crawled across the ledge back and forth pleased with his efforts. “Good boy!” the nice man told him. “Good boy!” Travis mimicked. Scott laughed giving Travis a cracker who gladly accepting. He used his new taloned feet to break off a piece and feed it up to his mouth. A click could be heard from the door making Scott turn his head towards it. “Everything okay in here?” Julie said popping her head in. Scott smiled. “Yep, we’re all good here. By the way, I am one satisfied customer” he said poking a finger through the bars of the cage. Julie smiled. “Thank you for shopping at Julie’s Pet Boutique!” she said clapping her hands together.
