Day 14 - Prompt: Hope @pandalilymicrofics
February Daily Series - 596 words
<<<Previous Part OR Start Here
“I definitely overheard,” Lily said, shaking her head. “You’re as bad as the rest of them, Regulus. Here I had hope that you were the logical one in the bunch.”
Regulus grinned as the giggles wore off. “Not if Pandora’s involved.”
“True. I am the devil on his shoulder,” she teased.
James leaned down and nudged Regulus’s temple with his nose. “Does that make me your angel?”
“Definitely not,” Regulus replied. “You’re that itch that I can’t ever scratch.”
“Distracting?” Pandora suggested. “Annoying?”
“Infuriating, more like.”
James laughed as he nuzzled into his neck. “Yet, you just keep reaching for me, hmm?”
Pandora smiled fondly at Regulus as he flushed from his neck all the way up to the tips of his ears. He was secretly a complete sap, so that wasn’t new. However, seeing someone indulge his sweeter side unprompted was lovely.
“As stupidly adorable as this is,” Lily said, stepping forward. “I’m ready to dance. Coming, Pandora?”
“If you’ll let me.”
It slipped out before she could censor herself. Pandora had managed to retain some level of respectability thus far, but her capacity for “polite company” was waning quickly. Snark and innuendo was her primary language.
Lily stuck her tongue in her cheek to hold back her laughter, but the slight shake of her shoulders gave her away. Eventually, she pointed at Pandora and crooked her finger to beckon her forward. She sashayed across the few feet separating them and placed her chin in Lily’s outstretched hand.
“You’re a menace,” Lily said, in a poor attempt at a rebuke. There was far too much humour in her voice for Pandora to take her seriously. Even if her lips weren’t twitching into a smile.
“Mm-hmm, I think you like it.”
She heard Regulus snort-laugh behind her and flipped him off behind her back. That set off James, who’s laughter was quickly muffled as his boyfriend dragged him away. It was good to know that Regulus still had some sense of self-preservation.
Lily’s thumb and forefinger slid up her jaw lightly as she tipped Pandora’s chin up. As she gave her a sweeping once-over, Lily’s eyes sparkled with amusement. “Perhaps, I do.”
The words sent a shiver down her spine that Pandora couldn’t fully suppress. She closed her eyes and savoured the pleasant buzzing in her brain from LIly’s accent. It was absurdly sexy when she lowered her voice and spoke sweet and slow like this. Pandora wanted to climb into her lap and listen to her for hours.
“Damn, Lils. Take it easy on her.”
No! Don’t listen. Give me more, Lily.
When Lily released her, an annoyed huff burst from her nose before she could stop it. Pandora opened her eyes and scowled as she watched Lily turn away to speak with Mary. Every time she thought she was getting closer to Lily, someone interrupted.
I just need to get her alone.
Pandora fisted her hands at her sides and blew a stray hair out of her face. Now that she knew that Lily would play along, she was determined to test the limits of this connection. Even if she was the only one of them that felt it.
The thought landed like a slap to the face and the air was wrenched from her lungs. It took her a few beats to rein herself in and regulate her breathing again. Pandora sighed as she unclenched her hands and folded her arms over her waist.
Lily didn’t understand what this was, or what it meant. Not yet, anyways.
I just want to be yours.

A Fun Little Announcement!
So, today is my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of writing fics! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Tumblr media
So, I've come up with a little project for myself.
I am writing a marauders microfic about one TTPD quote each day. (I mean...I may take a break some days. If I do, I'll just skip the day or catch up the next day. But you get the idea). The fic may be about one person, a platonic pairing, a romantic pairing, a poly group, a friendship group, a familial relationship, or something else. The only rule I have given myself is that I am using the quote as inspiration! If you want to write with me, use the quote that corresponds with the date to write something. You can even write for a different fandom! Whatever you want! Use the tag #TTPDmicrofic and tag me (@my-castles-crumbling) if you want! I'd love to see what you create!
Just so you know...This is NOT an official microfic account or anything like that. I've already taken on one of those, lol. I won't be promising to reblog everything people write, because it could become too much. I just wanted to open it up in case people want to write with me. I find that it's fun to build community and motivating! Also, it's cool to see what people create. You don't have to make a commitment at all, you can post on ao3, you can just read, whatever. No rules! I'm just inviting you to write if you want to.
Here is my list of quotes:

24 Prompts til Christmas: Day 4
“Christmas Cookies” (Pandalily)
Pandora reaches over and gently grabs the bag of sugar from Lily’s hand. “Wait, that’s too much! Lils, the recipe calls for one cup… were you just eyeballing it?”
Lily shrugs. “Baking can’t be that much different than making a potion, can it?”
The blonde sighs, shaking her head, though a smile is still on her face. “What ever will I do with you, Miss Evans?”
"Whatever you desire.” Lily winks playfully before letting out a laugh. Pandora joins in, too.
“You’re something else, really.” Pandora looks back at the recipe. “Okay, you pour in half a teaspoon of vanilla extract and I’ll pour in 2 tablespoons of cream.”
They do just that, even if Lily spills the vanilla extract everywhere and they spend at least ten minutes cleaning it up.
“How are you so good at baking?” Lily asks as she whisks the mixture, looking at the other woman.
Pandora hums and a smile forms on her face again as if she’s looking back on a memory. “Ev and I used to bake all the time. It started off as just something to do to pass time and kind of escape reality, but then we started to actually enjoy it.” She pauses. “Don’t tell Ev that I told you, though.”
“I’d never.”
Lily puts her hands on her hips as she stares smugly at the bowl of icing. “It looks perfect. I’m basically a professional, now.”
“It looks perfect, but does it taste perfect?” Pandora dips a finger into the bowl and puts it in her mouth. She nods approvingly at her friend. “Tastes perfect, too.”
A smear of icing is on her bottom lip and Lily must be staring for too long, because Pandora raises a curious brow. “What?”
“Dora, you have a little something right there.”
“Where?”
“Here, let me get it for you.” Lily says before quickly pressing their lips together.
Pandora grins. “You sly girl.”
Lily grins back and lets Pandora pull her into another kiss. It doesn’t last long, though, because Lily frowns when a burnt smell hits her nose. “What’s that smell?”
Pandora pauses and then gasps. “Lily, the cookies!”

Found @pandalilymicrofics pianist Pandora x violinist Lily (715 words)
Pandora dreamt of playing the violin as a little girl. It was just her luck that her parents forced her and Evan into piano lessons before they could form full sentences. Now, at 29, a recognized composer with a PhD in organic chemistry, she felt ill just pressing the buzzer to her first violin lesson. She had done her best and made piano her world, but well, the asteroid always comes to hit the dinosaur, doesn’t it?
Bzzz. The speaker blared loudly, a man’s voice shouting right after, “Flat 201, door’s open!”
She tiptoed her way through the empty, checker-floored lobby, clutching the cross on her necklace as she made it to the winding stairs. She’d never seen an apartment building so beautifully run down. Someone— another resident— came down in the creaky, gated elevator that the stairs circled. If Regulus wasn’t on the lease, she would gladly leave the high-rise for this. The door was a bit finnicky, but she could manage.
There were only four flats on the second floor, so she spotted the open door immediately and slipped inside. No one was in the entryway, but she could hear a soft violin melody playing from another room. Whether it was her teacher or not was the question.
“Hello, I’m here for a lesson with Lily Evans!” She called out, and the music came to an abrupt stop. That was her playing, then.
Lily Evans, she assumed, rushed in through the doorway, hand outstretched already. Her long hair was up in a banana clip, overalls cut short with little flowers embroidered into the big pocket. Pandora faltered for a moment. She was even more elegant than the place she lived.
Her teacher’s eyes widened, and she stopped dead in her tracks, “You really are that Pandora Rosier?”
“What?” She blurted out, flustered and very confused. “My name is Pandora, yes.”
“I play for the LSO, at the Barbican Centre!” She marvelled, and she felt her face light up.
“I played there!” She gasped, genuinely unable to stop grinning.
“Don’t I bloody know it, I walk past your plaque every morning,” She grinned back.
“God, I didn’t know people actually noticed it,” She blushed, touching a hand to her burning cheek.
“How could I not? You’re quite the stunner,” She gushed, giving her a once-over.
Pandora came down from her high quickly, sighing out an airy breath. The silence stretched on for a beat too long of the woman just staring at her. She cleared her throat, roughly.
“Um, yeah,” She squeaked, which made her smirk, “So, I usually start my lessons off with an introduction— why you’re here, why I’m here. All of that.”
She nodded, politely, waiting for her to continue.
“My violin’s in the living room, if you want to—” She trailed off, and it only took a beat before she understood.
“Well, I just wanted to try something new,” She spoke on her way into the room Lily directed her to.
“Bored of piano?”
“No, God, no, never. I’ve always loved violin, but I never had the opportunity to learn until now,” She glanced at the antique violin on its stand, at least that’s what it said in the description online.
“Really? That’s the same with piano, for me,” She said, sliding past her to get to her spot on the couch.
“If you wanted— I don’t want to assume, but I could teach you,” She almost jumped at how fast Lily’s head snapped back.
“You would do that?”
“Only if this lesson goes well,” She bet, raising an eyebrow at her.
“That’s a lot of pressure,” The veins in her neck tightened as she swallowed, and Pandora really really hoped she was reading this correctly.
“I think you can handle it,” She flirted, easing back into the plush couch, trying to look cool.
It only took a second before Lily’s hand was outstretched to hers, “Deal.”
A year later, Pandora and her girlfriend performed the sonata they composed together at Barbican Hall. She only played a few parts of the violin, but that didn’t really matter. She had found her new world all the same.

Welcome!
I’ve enjoyed writing microfics with prompts for a multitude of Marauders ships, but couldn’t find one specifically for Pandalily, so I made my own! I will be posting a monthly one to two word a day prompt list and reblogging anyone that tags me in their Pandalily-focused microfics, even if you don’t use the prompt. The only rule is that the microfic has to be primarily Pandalily (romantic or platonic).
If you love Pandalily, I promise this blog will feed you every piece of Pandalily content on Tumblr that I can find. Fanart, head canons, microfics, skits, memes, etc. I’ll reblog it here! The profile and header are both by the incredibly talented @alexsays-no
If you have created Pandalily fanart or written longer fics, please tag me! I’d love to see it!

this was supposed to be fluffy… I’m sorry
for the @sapphicmarauding prompt fireworks
“When I die,” Pandora begins quietly, staring up at the open sky. “I want to go out like the fireworks; one bright burst of light and color. They seem to live so freely, don’t you think?”
“The fireworks?” Lily asks. She’s not watching them. She’s watching Pandora’s silvery profile, lit by flashes of red and blue and gold.
“Yes. And maybe it’s because their lives are so short.” Pandora muses. “How do you want to die?”
“Enough about death.” Lily presses a quick kiss to Pandora’s cheek, finally drawing her gaze from the night. “It’s New Years. Tonight’s about life and renewal and-”
“And also the death of the old year.”
“Let the old year die.” Lily replies carelessly. She feels immortal.
Pandora purses her lips. Her eyes sparkle like fireworks; so beautiful, but ever dying. Lily pulls her close…
A green firework. That’s what avada kedavra looks like. Pandora knows because she’s seen it too many times in her short life. Lily’s eyes were that exact shade of green.
Perhaps it was a prophecy.
But if eyes are a prophecy then Pandora would be a flare of ice blue. Instead she goes out in a blaze of red.
Little Luna is sitting on the steps. She is not a firework, she is a cold blue flame, steady and strong, if not as bright. Pandora wants to tell her to look away, but it is too late.
She closes her eyes and the last thing she sees are fireworks.

oh oh i forgot
the royal aus are fantastic too aaaaah or like historic aus (in the 1800s/1900s)
ahhh! i was so excited about this prompt and i finally got around to it :D
Drab Green Dress
ignore the language, i did not check to make it period-accurate. however the fashion is meant to be 1870s, so look that up for referencing how the dresses and hair look!
Lily sees her across the room and she knows.
Her dress is fitted perfectly. She must have money to be able to afford the best seamstress in the city. Or maybe she's just so beautiful any dress would look good on her.
The dress is pink and frilly, with blue and yellow ribbons adorning it. Her blonde hair is done up high with bows and her ears are weighed down with heavy jewels.
Lily isn't so fortunate. She comes from little money. All she can afford to wear is a simple, drab green dress. No frills or ribbons. Her hair is down, only a flower she picked herself to decorate it, forget any jewellery. The fact that she even managed to attend such an extravagant event evades her.
Lily may be poor, this girl may be rich. Lily may be a freak, an outcast, a strange girl. But something tells her she has a chance. Something tells her this girl is like her. So she takes a chance, and crosses the room.
Lily receives many stares as she dares walk into the centre of the crowd, amidst the wealthy, but she continues on.
"Excuse me, my lady," Lily grabs her attention. "I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Lily Evans." The girl gives her a genuine smile, her eyes show fascination and curiosity as she turns her attention to Lily.
"Pandora Lovegood, lovely to make your acquaintance."

Day 21 - Prompt: Wish @pandalilymicrofics
February Daily Series - 882 words
<<<Previous Part OR Start Here
“Lily?” Pandora called, surprised the redhead wasn’t standing outside the medium’s tent. “Where did you go?”
“Well, well. Look who I found.”
She knew that voice. Dread settled heavy in her gut as she slowly turned around. Of all the people that she was prepared to face, he wasn’t one of them.
He was taller than she expected. Evan rarely went for tall blokes, but this one was obviously an exception. The man stood a full foot taller than her and she had to step back to look him over.
Barty had dark hair with faded green highlights and tattoos covering every inch of pale skin that showed through his ripped jeans and heavily stained t-shirt. The head of a snake curling up the side of his neck disappeared under his jaw. He eyed her with disgust as his lip curled into a sneer.
“You’re one of those…I should have guessed. I bet you think you can see the future in a crystal ball too,” he snarked, nodding toward the medium’s tent.
“What do you want?”
“An explanation, to start. I think you owe me that, at least.”
“I don’t owe you anything,” she retorted, crossing her arms over her chest.
Barty straightened up and sauntered forward. His eyes narrowed as he approached. “That’s where you’re wrong. You pushed me too far.”
Pandora stuck her hand in her pocket and fumbled for her mobile. She pulled it out and frantically texted Sirius. He was the only one here who would understand why Regulus needed to hide.
🐼: 🚩Barty🚩
🐼: 🫥Reg
He slapped the phone out of her hand and leaned in too close. His breath reeked of weed and she could practically taste the acrid scent of Red Bull. Barty poked her shoulder and glared.
“I get it. I fucked it up with Reg, but Evan? He’s different.”
“Get my brother’s name out of your filthy mouth,” she snapped, shoving him away with all of her strength. Pandora darted out of the shade of the stall and into the sun.
Despite his slim form, Barty was both solid and fast. He stumbled back a few steps, but didn’t fall. Barty reached out and grabbed her wrist, then yanked her back and shook her hard. Fear paralysed Pandora as he quickly immobilised her arms behind her back and pinned her against the stall with his chest.
“Nice try! You need to answer me, you little cunt. Why did you—”
“Pandora? Who is this?” Lily’s voice shot adrenaline into her veins.
Pandora lunged at Barty, kicking and flailing wildly until he lost his hold. “You bastard! I wish that I hunted you down the first time. You thought I’d let you break my brother too?”
“It wasn’t — stop it! Listen! — that’s not what it was like — for fuck’s sake…stop! — it was different. I was different with Evan!”
“Too little, too late, arsehole!”
Pandora’s knee connected with his bollocks at the same time that Lily lunged at her. She was jerked away from Barty just as he staggered backwards with a sickly expression and his hands clutched to his groin. Lily wrapped her up in a hug and dragged her away from the man that Pandora left writhing in agony on the ground.
“Are you alright? Did he hurt you?” Lily asked.
She promptly tripped over a box of handmade toys in front of the neighbouring stall and fell, bringing Pandora with her. They toppled to the ground in a mass of limbs and Pandora landed awkwardly in her lap. The fall knocked the wind out of her and she struggled to regain it.
“Sorry!” Lily said as she shoved Pandora’s tangled skirt down past her knees and smoothed it out. “Did I hurt you?”
“No, no. I’m fine. Really, I’m—”
Thunderous footsteps approached and when Pandora looked up, she found Regulus running full speed toward her with a crowd of people chasing after him. Several were shouting his name, but he ignored them as he called for her instead.
“Panda! Where are you? Panda!”
“Here! Regulus, I have her!” Lily called out suddenly, waving a hand.
He redirected at once and darted into the tent. Regulus dropped to his knees and cradled her face in his hands. “Oh thank goodness! Panda, are you okay? What happened?”
“Him. He happened,” Lily said, gesturing at Barty’s prone form.
James caught up first and practically barrel-rolled into the tent. He snatched up Regulus mid-spin as he crashed into the back of the stall. Pandora smothered a laugh at Regulus’s muffled, and French-filled, protests.
“Mon amor, you could have been hurt!” James said, smothering his face with loud, lip-smacking kisses.
They were sprawled amidst a mess of hand-carved wood crafts while the stall’s owner squawked at them in heavily-accented Welsh. Regulus’s eyes blew wide at the sight of the furious, red-faced man and he dove head-first under his boyfriend’s jumper. James tugged the collar out to peer inside with a delighted grin.
Lily vibrated with silent laughter and dropped her forehead onto Pandora’s shoulder. Equally delighted by her descent into madness, Pandora hugged her neck and toyed with her thick auburn braid wistfully.
She smelled like lilacs and the incense from the medium’s stall. Pandora breathed her in and closed her eyes.
I could get used to this.

Prompt: freckles
@sapphicmicrofics - Pandora x lily
Pandora here uses they/them, also I can’t let go of tattoo artist lily or Pandora with multi colour freckles!!
Pandora stared up at the needle in their girlfriend’s hand. Lily sat straddling their waist and was hunched over so both their lips were barely a breath apart.
“You alright darling?” she asked, lightly dragging the needle down their face. “It’s nothing to be scared of.”
Pandora exhaled lightly. “I’m good, just nervous.”
“That’s okay. So for each freckle I’m going to dip in ink, poke a few times then repeat until it’s filled in. I have pink, yellow, blue and green for the colours. All good?”
“Yeah.” They trusted Lily. They’d lie back and let her do whatever she wanted to their face so long as they could keep this view. Their girl, their Lily domineering over, using her pen to mark them up as she saw fit. They liked being an open canvas for her, feeling the pinpricks. Each one felt like a kiss.

24 Prompts til Christmas: Day 11
“Gingerbread Houses” (PandaLily)
Lily’s tongue sticks out the corner of her mouth as she carefully pipes icing onto the wall of her gingerbread house. She finishes icing the last part of that wall: the window. Well, she was finished until Pandora decided to become a terrible person. She swipes a finger across the newly iced windows and proceeds to lick it.
“Dora, what the fuck?” Lily gasps, smacking her arm. “It looked so good.”
“It tastes good, too.” Pandora grins at her glowering girlfriend.
Lily eyes Pandora’s gingerbread house. At the peak of the roof, there’s a line of gumdrops. Well, if that’s how they’re playing this game, then she might as well get her turn. She reaches over and plucks a blue gumdrop off the roof and puts it in her mouth.
“Lils!” Pandora frowns.
“What? I’m just giving you a taste of your own medicine,” Lily replies, grinning.
“There’s no sabotaging allowed in a gingerbread house making competition. You should get a penalty for that.”
“Well, you broke that nonexistent rule first,” she argues back.
Through their playful banter, they continue to work on their gingerbread houses. When they’re done, Lily’s resembles a cozy cabin and Pandora’s resembles a beautiful castle.
Lily holds her gingerbread girl beside Pandora’s and squeals, smiling widely. “Oh my gosh, our little people can be in love!”
“Why are they in separate houses, then?” Pandora inquires, quirking a brow.
Her girlfriend huffs. “Shut up, she’s still working on selling the place, okay?”

pandalily & school musical
I KNOW IT'S NOT A SCHOOL MUSICAL. BUT It's still a musical. And pandalily. With non-binary Pandora, just because. This took me a while, but here it is. Enjoy? :)
---<
“I need help with this scene. Can you give me my lines?” Lily asks them, holding the musical piece’s sheet out to them. She really hopes Pandora is going to accept. Lately they both have spent more and more time together, since Pandora is working on the making of the decorations of the piece, while Lily is the main actress, and they befriended each other… but Lily feels different about them. She just wants to spend all of her time with them. She can’t explain why, but she feels drawn to them.
“Yes, of course,” Pandora smiles, putting their paintbrush away, and grabbing Lily’s sheet. “I’ll do James’ role, right?” They add, laughing lightly.
James is Lily’s friend. They’ve known each other for years, and they play together in the play with the main roles. People always joke about them making a cute couple; but James is very gay for a light technician, Regulus, and Lily is also very gay, and not interested at all in a romance with James… eurgh. She knows him since they’re kids, and she still remembers how he used to piss in his pants.
“Yes,” Lily says, smiling at them. “Whenever you want,” She adds, to indicate Pandora she’s ready.
And they play together. Pandora reads James’ lines, and strangely enough, they do it well. They stay where they are, leaning on the huge box they were in the middle of painting, because apparently the paint is finally dry, and Lily moves around, as she’s supposed to do, but with minimal gestures.
“And how am I going to do without you?” Pandora asks, lifting their charming blue eyes to Lily’s.
“You’re going to make it,” Lily says, getting closer, because she’s supposed to do just that. “You’re going to find your brother and bring him back home, and when I come back after my task is done, you’ll have made it.”
She takes Pandora’s hand, and she only smiles at them. They don’t yank their hand away.
“My dear, our love will overcome mountains, weather storms and defy the most terrible monsters,” Lily gets closer. She knows how the scene ends. Maybe Pandora knows it too, maybe they saw it on the script; but they stay here, smiling with a softness in their eyes that would make ice melt. “Take my hand,” And Lily almost stutters at this, but she knew what she was asking Pandora when she asked them to help her with this specific scene. “And never let it go.”
Pandora slightly nods. Lily pulls them closer. Their foreheads touch, and Pandora is still smiling, even though maybe they’re a bit more smug now. And Lily crosses the line; she takes the plunge.
She kisses Pandora.
Their lips are soft against hers, and they simply, very simply — oh, so simply — put their hands on Lily’s cheeks, softly, as if it was just the ghost of a touch. But they answer Lily’s kiss. Pandora smiles against Lily’s lips. It’s slow, soft, loving? Lily melts into it. It’s so good.
Someone is suddenly clearing their throat next to them, and Lily and Pandora part quickly, their hands staying on each other still.
“Don’t steal my wife,” James has a smirk on his lips, and a hand on his hip as he says that.
Lily rolls her eyes, but she’s still holding Pandora’s hand.
“Potter, I said ‘don’t move’. Is that such a complicated instruction to follow?” Regulus’ snarky voice echoes from not-so-far. James’ gaze lights up, and he smiles like an idiot.
“Sorry,” James excuses himself, but he doesn’t look sorry. He just looks like a happy golden retriever. “Gotta go.”
And he disappears in the direction of Regulus’ voice, leaving Lily and Pandora together.
“Let’s continue what we started?” Lily softly smirks, getting closer to Pandora again.
“But I have work to do.”
“Hmmm,” She pushes a few blonde locks away from Pandora’s forehead. “Forget about that?”
The End.

Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice!
A PandaLily Microfic. 711 Words. Word of the Day: Baking.
"Hello guys, gals, and pals! Welcome to this week's episode of 'Pandora's box', I'm your host Pandora," Pandora beamed, her smile glittering her face, and sure Lily had never talked to her, but consider her effectively swooned.
Lily adjusted the camera, making sure to capture every detail of Pandora's radiant presence. Her admiration for the talented chef had grown into something deeper, something she had never expected.
“Today we’re making chocolate toffee cookies, so clean up your counters and let’s begin!” Pandora's hands gracefully moved across the kitchen as she gathered her ingredients, the tantalizing aroma of chocolate and toffee filling the room. Mixing the ingredients and making the dough went on as expected, with flour and sugar swirling through the air like a sweet-scented cloud. Pandora's hands moved with a fluid grace whether that be with a whisk or while swiping at some of the toffees- though where they go she’s not sure, Lily watches Pandora’s lips closely and doesn’t notice any chewing. Oh how magnificent and soft they look.
Lost in her thoughts and captivated by Pandora's presence, Lily momentarily forgot her role as the cameraman. The world around them seemed to fade away as she watched Pandora with a fondness that had grown into something more profound.
“Lily, what's going on? We need a clear shot of the dessert. Don't lose focus now." Lily heard through her earpiece. Dorcas had noticed it then, judging by the lilt of her voice, stern but knowing. Pandora, too, noticed the shift in camera focus and glanced briefly at Lily with a quizzical smile. She continued with the dessert-making process, her graceful hands moving with precision. Lily knew she had to make amends quickly, adjusting the camera to capture the remaining steps. But the memory of Pandora's smile lingered in her mind, and she couldn't help but blush under Dorcas's watchful gaze. It was a reminder that in the world of live television, even the sweetest distractions could lead to a bitter slip-up. “Alright folks, now all that’s left to do is put the cookies to bake at 175°C for 15 minutes,” Pandora said, sliding the pan of cookie dough into the oven. Her hands were pretty too. Pandora turned to the camera with a bright smile, announcing, "Time to take a quick breather before we dive into the next step. Don't go anywhere!"
“Cut!” Lily heard Dorcas say. “Lils, you can drool all you want now. Don’t slip up again.”
Lily took a deep breath, setting down the camera, she was going to do this. She was going to talk to Pandora. The bustling kitchen provided some privacy amidst the filming equipment.
“Hi,” Lily said, breathier than intended. Damn nerves.
Pandora looked up, chocolate eyes meeting Lily’s own. “Oh! Camerawoman! Everything ok? I noticed you slipping up a bit.”
“Ha… You noticed. I’m fine really.” Lily blushed.
“Want a toffee?” Pandora’s hand dove into her apron’s pocket. So that’s where they were going.
“Uh- sure!” Lily responded, taking her time analyzing Pandora’s face, her nose, her furrowed brows, her sugared high cheekbones. Wait. “Pandora you have sugar on your cheek.” “Oh?” Pandora giggled, handing Lily her toffee, which Lily would never eat because she hated toffee, but couldn’t say no to Pandora. She’d keep that toffee in her book case for eternity.
Pandora swiped at her clean cheek, eyes twinkling with something unreadable to Lily. “No. Here let me…”
With a tender touch, Lily cradled Pandora's face in her hands, her fingers brushing lightly against Pandora's cheek. She gently wiped away the smudge of sugar with her thumb, her eyes locked onto Pandora's.
“You’re so pretty.” Lily says, feeling bold. “Thanks, you too!” Pandora whispers, dumbfounded.
“Get a room you too!” Dorcas yelled from the control room. “Time to go back live! On your marks everyone!”
“Can we talk later?” Pandora looks at Lily, and Lily just about melts. “Definitely, I need your number, love.” Lily smiles, already heading back to her spot. In the bustling kitchen studio, amidst the aroma of baking cookies and the hum of live television, Pandora and Lily had taken their first sweet steps toward a future filled with shared moments, delectable desserts, and the promise of a love that had been simmering beneath the surface.

For the @sapphicmarauding prompt dawn
Lily snuggled further into her pillow with a grumble, ignoring the gentle hands attempting to urge her awake.
“Lily…” A light, drawn out singsong. Pandora. Well, that was better, because if it had been Mary or Marlene trying to wake her up this early, she would have seriously considered murder.
A soft kiss to her cheek. It sent a fizz through her, waking her up completely, but Lily stubbornly kept her eyes closed and her frown firmly in place.
The kisses trailed lower, then higher again, across the side of her neck, and it became much harder to fake her slumber.
A nip to her earlobe. Lily couldn’t hold in her moan at that.
“Rise and shine, sleepyhead.” She sounded far too happy for this early in the morning.
“It’s not even dawn yet.” Lily protested, yawning, but nevertheless she sat up, blinking her eyes in the darkness of the dorm room. Pandora grinned triumphantly.
“Come with me.” Pandora extended her hand, chipped pastel nail polish and inked flowers and knives, and how could Lily refuse?
They snuck out a side door onto the lawn, Lily wishing she’d brought her shoes as they ran across the dew bedecked grass. The edges of the sky were a pale grey now, as Pandora led her to a high hill overlooking the lake.
“What-” Lily began as Pandora pulled her to sit down on a flat rock. Her feet were frozen and she felt she had the right to know why.
“Shh. Just wait.” Pandora smiled the way she did when she knew Lily would like what came next.
Lily waited, staring out over the lake and shivering in her thin pyjamas. Pandora wrapped an arm around her, and Lily forgot about the cold altogether.
“Look.” Pandora pointed out across the lake, to where the edges of the sky were purple-gold. And then Lily saw it.
The sun crept up slowly at first, and then all at once, sending streaks of dazzling pink and orange across the sparkling lake. It was a fiery color show, almost as good as fireworks, and Lily’s face broke into a grin.
“Worth it?” Pandora asked, once the sky was the blue of her eyes.
“I’m hungry.” Lily grumbled, but she couldn’t get rid of her smile.
Pandora laughed, and Lily caught that bubbling sound in her mouth, sweet as any sunrise. Pandora deepened the kiss, biting her lip and making Lily moan.
“Anything with you is worth it.” Lily said when they’d finally broken apart.
“I’ll keep that in mind.” She replied mischievously, but Lily was too far gone to care about the danger in those words. Pandora’s smile was like dawn light, and Lily would follow it, and her, anywhere.
