Afterwards I learned, that the best way to manage some kinds of pain filled thoughts, is to dare them to do their worst; to let them lie and gnaw at your heart til they are tired; and you find you still have a residue of life they cannot kill.

Livro que comecei hoje. Phantastes, publicado pela primeira vez em 1858. É um dos contos de fadas originais da literatura ocidental escrito pelo pai da fantasia moderna. O escocês George MacDonald {1824-1905}
Ele inspirou outros ícones como L. Frank Baum, C.S. Lewis e J. R. R. Tolkien.
Já me apaixonei no primeiro capítulo...

Quote
As through the hard rock go the branching silver veins; as into the solid land runs the creeks and gulfs from the unresting sea; as the lights and influences of the upper worlds sink silently through the earth’s atmosphere; so doth Faerie invade the world of men, and sometimes startle the common eye with an association as of cause and effect, when between the two no connecting link can be traced.

. . . . . #bookstagram #books#booklover #books #livros #lidos #phantastes #contodefadas #cslewis #tolkien https://www.instagram.com/p/CjHJmtJrFHd/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Prompt 139
So. Dan has somehow found a small child. A practically newly born ghostling who had literally fallen right on top of him. A ghostling who had practically formed right above him, far away from nurseries and instead above him of all ghosts?
Him, the Sunkiller? The Worldeater? Jordan Vladimir FentonNightingale-Foley-Manson? Son of Space and War? Bringer of the End?? Seriously, what the hell! Ghostlings shouldn’t even be able to form within other ghost’s Lairs, and he knew for a fact this wasn’t his own ghostling seeing as he wasn’t interested in such things.
So here Dan is, feeling more confused than he ever has with a newborn ghostling clinging to him and sobbing in his arms about wanting his dad. What even is his unlife right now.

If you could keep an eye out for salamanders and gnomes, those are what I like to see
sure! here are four salamanders i've encountered so far:

His brother sees him through the dozens of warm bodies separating them. In the dim, cloudy, darkness of a school bus at 6am. Wes watches as a stray street light shines in through the window. Kyle’s eyes reflect a solid, piercing silver. The windchimes, faint at the start, are nearly deafeningly loud now. He blinks, and offers Kyle a small, if nervous terrified, grin. A too-sharp grin flashes back at him, Threatens back at him. Fuck.
This is a comic I did a while back based on the end of Chapter 1 of "Into the Infinite Mists", by @kawaiijohn!
I shared it with kawaiijohn a while ago - but I hadn't posted it anywhere! His phic is so cool, and so evocative, and I'm so excited for where it's going!
I'm also excited to submit this work as line art for @green-with-envy-phandom-event! The line arts and colors were so cool last year! And I'm so glad we're allowed to submit old line arts that weren't used previously for the event - otherwise I'd have nothing to submit!
