(since no one is reading my tags or other reblogs): this post has an addition. the addition is specifically about co-mingle recycling in most usamerican cities. always check your local guidelines for recycling. the point of this post was not to tell you what you can or can’t recycle, anyway. the point was that a lot of recycling gets thrown out because it’s fucking contaminated. if you can’t clean your recyclables to keep them from contaminating a whole bin, just put it in the trash. you don’t need to feel guilty about it... that's it. that's why i wrote the post.

My sibling couldn't remember Machete's name and kept calling him Hatchet, so then we started imagining Machete's distant cousin from the countryside. Hatchet does not understand politics nor does he have an opinion on religion, all Hatchet knows is potatoes and chickens. And dirt.

Hey Bam! I saw that great pic of Ashley and noticed it looks like there's a Pothos plant behind her. I know she likes to chew things so I wanted to warn you that Pothos can be very toxic to cats. I just wanna look out for you and your fuzzy friends! If it's not a Pothos, feel free to ignore and have a great day!

It is a pothos (I think?), but Ashley (or any of the other cats) do not chew on our houseplants and are disinterested in them! Luckily I've never had a problem with cats and plants.

However, she does chew stickers and art prints.

Luckily she hasn't swallowed anything but I'm not so much worried about her ingesting plants as I am her ingesting my sticker supply

Latest embroidery done! Chipped away at this very slowly a few hours/week over the course of a month. I was originally going for a fern leaf of some kind, but it turned out to be more of a spruce tree, lol. I'm really happy with the smooth change of colour though! It was something i wanted to test, and splitting the threads into single strands and combining 2 different greens worked really well.

okay, I’ll bite: what are we supposed to make shoes out of?

I don’t want to wear plastic clothing. period. if it’s at all possible to avoid. call me crazy, but I don’t consider destroying habitats on a massive scale via microplastic runoff in water and non-biodegradable plastic waste in landfills “more humane,” to animals OR people. I recognize that a lot of people don’t have the luxury of that choice, because synthetics are often cheaper, and I would never judge those individuals for it. but fortunately, I do, and that’s the choice I’ve made

so that leaves the natural materials that are currently commercially viable. leather and fur are out, and by strict v*gan definitions, so are wool and silk. plant-based fibers it is, then!

I live in Massachusetts, USA. let me just lace up my canvas sneakers to go out in the next February blizzard

and I’m sure people who work dangerous jobs like construction will love the sturdy protection of hemp slip-ons

be v*gan if you want to (censoring to avoid tags); I get that it’s usually coming from a place of compassion even if I don’t agree on the execution. but for gods’ sakes, don’t be this out-of-touch. just like I know that not everyone will agree with my personal decisions on how to live the most ethical life I feel I can, please respect that other people’s realities may look different from yours

I love Justice League Action. The very first episode has Plastic Man, Booster Gold, Plant Thing, Captain Marvel, overly British Constantine, and smug Batman.

I mean come on! Who wouldn't want to watch a series where Plastic Man dresses as Wonder Woman and then continues to wear her boots(which are high heels btw) because they're comfortable. She doesn't even blink that he's still wearing the entire outfit other than to question why he's wearing her boots!

It's great. 10/10. 100% recommend everyone watch this.
