"So she actually threw up on you?"

"Yep it was awful. Like I was so embarrassed" Adam chuckles "but what about you. Any bad dates?" Adam and I are sat eating lunch in a really cute café

"Ughh to many to count. There was this one guy I started seeing and we were meant to be going on a date, he had picked me up but on the way to the restaurant I had a phone call to go back home as my mom had been called into work in an emergency. He really kicked off and refused to see me again. Actually refused to take me home. I had to call a taxi"

"What a jerk"

"Tell me about it"

"So what does you mom do then for work?"

"Oh she's a brain surgeon at Chicago Med. Sometimes she will get called in and I have to look after Jack"

"What about your dad? Where's he?"

"He and my mom split up when I was 10. Then she met Jacks dad who's actually in the army so we don't see him all that much"

"Oh I'm sorry"

"No it's ok. I get on with both my dad and Jacks. So does mom, she thought it would be best for us all if everyone got on"

"That's good. I wish I got on with Ally's mum, you know for her sake. I'm lucky I have some good friends"

"I'm sorry that her mom isn't involved, but it's her loss right? And I think it's sweet how your friends love her as if she was their biological family" my phone dings "sorry"

"No problem" I check my phone to see mom has been called in to do a surgery

"I'm so sorry, but I've got to go look after Jack"

"Hey no it's fine don't worry about it"

"I really am sorry" I stand up

"Hey why don't you bring him to mine? we can take them to the park"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes of course" Adam texts me his address

"Ok I'll see you in a bit then"

"But why?"

"Because were going to go to the park with Ally and Adam" I take Jacks coat of the hanger and help him put it on

"But why?"

"Jack please just do as I say"

"Where's mommy gone?"

"She's got to make people better" I finally get Jack out the house and into his car seat

"How long is the drive?"

"Not long" I type in Adams address into maps and start the car while Encanto soundtrack plays, Jacks current obsession

"We don't talk about Bruno" Jack yells making me laugh "no no no"

After a few minutes and a lot of singing we arrive at Adams

"Ok now you have to be a good boy for me ok?"

"Ok YN" I lift him out of his car seat then lock the car. We walk up to the door

"Can I press the bell?" Jack asks pointing to the door bell. I lift him up and he presses the bell. A few seconds later Adam opens up the door

"Hey bud you ready for a play date?" Adam asks Jack

"Yeah. Guess what" before Adam can even breath Jack is already telling him that we listened to the Encanto songs

"You did did you?" Adam looks at me

"Yup. We don't talk about Bruno on repeat. All the way here"

"Well Encanto is Ally's favourite film so shall we put it on?"

"Can we?" Jack asks me

"Yes of course"

"Yay" we walk in and Adam takes us to the living room. Ally is playing with a doll

"Hi Ally how are you?" I ask

"Good" she says shyly with her hair half in a bobble and half out

"I'm guessing your daddy did your hair?" I ask and she nods

"Can you do hair?" She asks me 

"Come here" I say as Adam puts on Disney+ and finds Encanto for the kids. I do a French plait for her

"YN and I will make you some snacks" Adam and I walk into the kitchen

"Sorry this isn't the date we planned" I sigh as Adam passes me a bowl and some crisps

"It's ok. We can always have another date" he shrugs

"So it's not been a complete disaster then?" I ask raising my eyebrows

"Definitely not" we take the snacks over to the kids while they are mesmerised by the TV. Adam and I go back into the kitchen to talk

"How often does Jack get to see his dad?" he asks making a drink

"Maybe every 4 months for a week? This is probably the longest he's been away, it's been about 6 months since he was home"

"Wow. How does your mother cope?"

"She works, a lot. That's why I help out, take Jack out and do things with him"

"Your good with him. Most siblings wouldn't do what you do"

"You think?" I raise my eyebrows.

For the rest of the afternoon Adam and I chat, then take Jack and Ally to the park and we also play games with them before it's time for Jack and I to leave. Jack goes to say bye to Ally while I say bye to Adam.

You slowly heaved your way up the mountain, you stopped, finally making your way up the big piece of grass and dirt.

You were in awe, a beautiful village, almost perfect. A wide town, little houses mostly covering it. Some farmland as well, then a enourmous house that towered over the town. Like some castle in a fairytale.

You were careful on your way down, being careful not to slip or trip on anything.

Once making your way down the very steep slope, you decided to explore the village. To see what was there.

You then saw something that amazed you, a girl, a very beautiful girl in a purple dress. With dark choclate skin, and luscious dark brown hair. Ombraes of flowers sprouting from her hands, you weren't normally the type of gal who liked flowers. But this was amazing. You had never seen anything like it.

The woman and you suddenly locked eyes, you quickly looked away. Breaking the contact. But you could of swore she smiled at you, or winked.

You quickly snapped from your thought, when a finger softly tapped your shoulder. You turned around to see the same girl from last time, "are you okay?"

'Seriously? Thats your first question?! "Am I okay?" I'm not but-'

"Yea, I'm ok. Why do you ask?" You awkwardly replied back, only slightly being able to make eye contact. "Well, when I looked over to you, you looked a little confused." Isabela said bluntly, "oh well. Um. I'm not really around from here, I am a explorer. And I was climbing over the hills, and discovered this place." You explained, "so you're a outsider..." She said a little disgusted or just shocked, "is,something wrong with that?" You asked concerned, "oh no. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just we've never had someone come over the hills before." Isabela said looking down with slight worry, "why?" You asked. "Well, you see. These hills were created to protect us, well the whole village. And no one was meant to come out, or in." "Oh, I apologize! Do you want me to leave?" You asked with a slight sweat, "NO!" Isabela blurted out, "pardon?" You asked confused at the outburst, "my apologies." She quickly continued,

'ok?' You thought, a little weirded out.

"As a welcoming to the encanto, (the name of the town) would you like to come to my house for dinner?" Isabela offered kindly, completely calm now. "What about your-" she cut you off, "they will be fine with it. Trust me!" "O-okay then..." "See you at 7:00?" "Sure." "See you then!"

(Later on.)

You approached the big house slowly, a little nervous. Who knew what the family would think of you? Some random outsider who trespassed into their village, they could hate you for all you knew.

You knocked on the door gently, the door then opening on it's own.

'Wow, ok. Even a magic house, what doesn't she have?'

You then took a step into the house, suddenly it then shifted it's tiles like treadmill. Making you move, you didn't know where you were going until you saw Isabela pop out of nowhere in front of you. "(Y/n), you're finally here! Come, follow me." She bent her fingers in a motion to follow, she lead you to the dining room. Where all her family members sat, "please take a seat (y/n!)." Alma said bringing her hand out, pointing to the two empty seats, one for Isabela, and one for you.

You and Isabela both sat, you tapped your fingers gently on your thigh. Still nervous, Alma suddenly spoke.

"So (y/n), what brought you to the encanto?"

'Isabela told her...at least she isn't being rude about it.'

"Well I am a explorer, so. I found the hills and decided to climb them. And then found this place, I understand if you think if I'm a tresspasser." You spoke with complete understanding in your voice.

Alma had a shocked expression on her face, you could tell because of how wide her eyes were open. And her mouth was gaping open slightly.

"(Y/n) we don't think you're a tresspasser at all,-" Alma replied with a kind yet not bright voice.

"Y-you don't?" You asked looking up with disbelief on your face. "We don't at all think you're a tresspasser!" Isabela chimed in, attempting to brighten the mood.

"Thank you so much for understanding!" You said with a bright expression your face.

"You're welcome (y/n), now shall we eat?" Alma annouced to the family, everyone then digging into their food.

(After the dinner.)

After you had gotten to know the madrigals, they had offered for you to stay the night, since you had nowhere to sleep for the night. You of course took the offer and slept there, oh but that would be your biggest regret...

The sun shined onto your skin, as you heaved your backpack onto your back. Tying your shoelaces on your boots. You smiled ready to leave, to see your family once again. But as you went to open the door to the casita to leave, it wouldn't allow you to. "Casita, please let me out! I have to leave!" You quietly demanded, you pulled again. Your brows furrowing, the door wouldn't budge.

"Going somewhere?" You heard Isabela's voice say, in a sickly sweet tone. You turn around to see Isabela, at a snap of a finger, you were now in thorned vines. Wiggling, attempting to escape. But knowing you couldn't, you stopped.

Isabela then walked over to you, evilly smirking. "Isabela why are you doing this?!" You asked loudly, "because I'm making you mine." Isabela replied simply, you started to thrash around again. The vines only squeezing tighter. Isabela enjoying pain she gave you, the tiny thorns poking into your skin.

"Isabela, please, just let me go!" You begged, "nope." She replied with a sweet tone of voice, with evil tracing her tongue. "You're mine now, forever..."

Despite absolutely despising the Disney Pinocchio film as a child (stories where characters were naughty caused me a great deal of anxiety), I watched Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio last night.

1) It also caused me a great deal of anxiety 2) I read that Guillermo del Toro made it because the Disney version also freaked him out as a child

That’s not the important part, the important part is that I am now obsessed with the four rabbit grim reapers who are voiced by Tim Blake Nelson:

At first, I was convinced that they must be a reference to the Black Rabbit of Inlé from Watership Down. I have never read or watched Watership Down. My relationship with Watership Down is that everyone I know irl who has read it was traumatized by it, and a lot of horror writers I like were inspired by it. I refuse to read it, thought, because Ursula K. LeGuin says it’s a shitty male power fantasy, and I always listen to Ursula.

I looked it up though and it turns out those rabbits are canonical to the book. What the fuck?? To be fair, I read the wikipedia synapsis of Pinocchio and Carlo Collodi was wilding. Wikipedia makes no mention of the rabbits, though, but I was able to find the part where they appear:

"Aren't you afraid of death?"

"Not a bit. I'd rather die than drink that awful medicine."

At that moment, the door of the room flew open and in came four Rabbits as black as ink, carrying a small black coffin on their shoulders.

"What do you want from me?" asked Pinocchio.

"We have come for you," said the largest Rabbit.

"For me? But I'm not dead yet!"

"No, not dead yet; but you will be in a few moments since you have refused to take the medicine which would have made you well."

"Oh, Fairy, my Fairy," the Marionette cried out, "give me that glass! Quick, please! I don't want to die! No, no, not yet--not yet!"

And holding the glass with his two hands, he swallowed the medicine at one gulp.

"Well," said the four Rabbits, "this time we have made the trip for nothing."

And turning on their heels, they marched solemnly out of the room, carrying their little black coffin and muttering and grumbling between their teeth.

In a twinkling, Pinocchio felt fine. With one leap he was out of bed and into his clothes.

The Fairy, seeing him run and jump around the room gay as a bird on wing, said to him:

"My medicine was good for you, after all, wasn't it?"

"Good indeed! It has given me new life."

"Why, then, did I have to beg you so hard to make you drink it?"

"I'm a boy, you see, and all boys hate medicine more than they do sickness."

"What a shame! Boys ought to know, after all, that medicine, taken in time, can save them from much pain and even from death."

"Next time I won't have to be begged so hard. I'll remember those black Rabbits with the black coffin on their shoulders and I'll take the glass and pouf!--down it will go!"

Never in my life have I considered having some grim reaper rabbits stroll into my house in order to threaten my children into taking their medicine.

Anyway, thank you Guillermo del Toro, for never shying away from taking something weird as Hell and completely leaning into it. (I’m still incredibly pissed at Encanto for trying to turn 100 Years of Solitude into a feel-good family film)

Currently Watching: reacher on prime, it's such a good show, also following three anime that are airing this season; frieren, fluffy paradise and the apothecary diaries. i do also watch some korean dramas while simming so king the land is my current obsession. finished the glory and destined with you recently as well, we love to multi task - simming, crying and being in the feels..

Last Movie: actually not sure.. i don't watch many movies, more into watching animes, korean dramas or series in general. five minutes later FOUND IT! it was encanto, cause who doesn't need the feels again.

I was just talking about this yesterday - time was I’d roll up at the Multiplex and have already seen every single film showing... Now I take my kid like once a year. The last film we went to was either Encanto or Addams Family 2, whichever one of those is newer.

Oversized t-shirts, rockabilly circle skirts, and my beloved creepers usually.

I wanted to write children’s stories. Then to be a teacher. In secondary school I thought about maybe working in translation. I ended up in local politics for a decade instead and doing lots of very sensible stuff. Now I make dollhouse miniatures and am writing a book on UFO sightings. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yup, married about five years now. (my partner is very much the romantic date remembering one in our relationship!)

I’m far too good at focusing on the bad, unfortunately. And I’m bad at being organised and sticking with things long term. :(

There are so many fandoms I’d like to write for at some point. I always return to tinker with the Superman/Jimmy Olsen longfic I’ve had in drafts for years, but I seriously doubt it’ll ever end up getting posted.

I’m deep in a Star Wars fandom phase at the moment. :) Just, Anakin destroying everything he’s ever held dear with his own greed. I love it.

Lol I know one asked for an Ode to Phoenix, and it’s typical Autumn to dive off any cliff headfirst with no parachute holding a ten ton weight. Name: Raphael Santiago Species: Vampire Age, Actual: 85 Age, Appears: Late teens, perhaps 19 Title: Leader of the New York Vampires Canon: Shadowhunters (TV not books) Sexuality: Asexual, biromantic FC: David Castro

Backstory: (Trigger warning for child death, death in general, suicide attempt mention) Born in Mexico in 1937, Raphael left at the age of ten with his mother and siblings moving to New York . As the eldest child of a single mother, Raphael strived to be the man of the house protecting and raising his siblings. A natural leader, he often mixed with older children and when needed to was the one to take charge and speak up. His dry sense of humour and low tolerance for suffering fools didn't always make him popular but Raphael cared little. Slow to open up but quick to offer his opinions on all that was wrong, few saw the sweeter side to Raphael outside of his family. The boy who doted on the children, who loved to cook and provide for his loved ones and who adored his mother.

Raphael largely had an image of a good church going boy. A boy the Mexican mothers all agreed would be a suitable match for their daughters. He was also one of the only boys, it seemed to him, who was not obsessed with chasing skirt. And then the murders began. Young children disappearing and later found dead on the street. But it was only the poor and immigrant children so nobody seemed to care. Rumours swirled about drained blood and fang marks, a vampire was preying on the children. When the men gathered to defend the children and hunt down the murder, be they man or supernatural, Raphael was the youngest of them. No one of the group returned. As it turned out, the murderer was indeed a vampire and he had killed many of the men and turned Raphael into a monster like him. Raphael's first action as a vampire was to murder his maker. This feat showed a level of mental and physical control and strength that few newborn vampires are able to show. Most were wild and driven only to feed but Raphael overrode all of that to exact revenge on his murderer. And then the frenzied feeding began. The men who were not slaughtered by Louis, where fed on by Raphael. After this he tried to kill himself from loathing and shame by hurling himself into the sunlight. He was only stopped by the warlock Magnus Bane, sent by Raphel's mother to find him. Bane took Raphael in, teaching him how to live and survive in his new life. How to not despise who and what he was now. Now, Raphael is leader of the vampires of New York. He has seen his siblings grow older from the shadows whilst committing himself to the protection and future well being of his people. Raphael is the first to admit that Magnus saved his life and is the only father figure he has ever had. Just as in his human life, he is incredibly protective of his people and will always prioritise their safety over all others. To him 'his people' are his vampires and those he holds dearest. Supernatural skills: Encanto- a kind of hypnosis. Heightened senses, increased speed and strength. Vampire fangs secrete a substances that induces relaxation and sometimes euphoric feelings. It is used to make a drug called yin fen and is a reason why some humans voluntarily 'donate' blood to get a high. Open for: Generally any kind of plot except smut because he is ace. For all his initial dislike of Batman, a year's worth of cases resulted in a somewhat grudging respect for the vigilante's intelligence and investigative skill, even if he never quite became any less strange and unsettling. Martinez developed a new found appreciation for Bruce Wayne as well, an odd but likeable man who was pleasant to work with in his own awkward way. During an investigation into a death possibly connected to Penguin, Martinez accidentally learns that the two odd characters he's spent an increasing amount of time interacting with over the past year are actually the same person, who's far more complex (and far more human) than he'd ever realized

If I wasn't prepared for the death grip The Batman had on my brain, I DEFINITELY wasn't prepared for falling into the Bruce/Martinez dumpster fire. I love them so much. I also got distracted while writing this fic, but I have the basic plot points mapped out, and on GOD I will finish this one too

Eames has done okay, though- his job as a reporter at the New York Herald Tribune was secure enough that he managed to keep it, and he was good enough at it that he made enough to get by. He has a strict rule, though: no photographers. Working with freelancers has always been a crapshoot, and it's only gotten worse over the past few years. When the Rockefellers insist on a photographer for the Tribune's upcoming story on their new building, though, Eames is forced to choose between dropping the best paying story he's had in four years or working with Arthur, the freelance photographer hired on the recommendation of Eames' editor, Dom. He's an odd man who clearly has a past and who, as Eames spends more time with him, is just maybe worth getting to know a bit better.

My entry for the 2022 Inception Big Bang! It was inspired by a combination of a real life photographer and a surprisingly fun horror movie about WWI zombie parasites (no parasites or zombies in the fic itself). I had a lot of fun writing it, and it has some amazing art!

Summary: Eames had worked countless jobs with Arthur over the years, enough that he had long since picked up on Arthur's on-job habits. Long hours, little sleep, too much work shoved into too little time- that's just what Arthur was like on jobs. The Fischer job felt...different though. Arthur didn't usually start jobs looking this tired or worn down, and his insistence that he was fine didn't usually ring this hollow. It was worrying, and Arthur's increasingly unconvincing reassurances weren't doing much to help.

Everyone in extraction had their limits, even Arthur. And Eames knew he was getting close to seeing what those limits really were.

This is the fic I'm proudest of this year. Not only is it the longest fic I've ever published, but it was also one that had been sitting in my WIPs folder for 2 or 3 years. I really loved the concept but had gotten distracted and never ended up finishing it at the time. I'm actually really glad I waited because I think I'm a stronger writer now, and this fic ended up better for it. It's one of the angstier fics I've written while still having a happy (or at least very hopeful) ending, and I'm really proud of how it ended up turning out

And that's it! Adjusting to my internship work schedule was a process so unfortunately that cut down on the amount of time/brain power I could spend writing, but I'm still super proud of what I put out this (last?) year. To ever increasing skills and another year of good writing!

i love the different ways that people say i love you without outright saying i love you. when someone says “hey i saw this and thought of you so i got it for you.” when you’re feeling sad and instead of forcing you to talk about it, they just sit next to you. when they tell you jokes to make you laugh, when they hug you just because, when they go out of their way to make something for you. i think thats pretty neat

Hi there! This is my very first attempt of an Encanto one-shot, shipping Felix/Pepa. I like their sparks and maybe I will give it another try, getting better in drabbling something for them in the future. However, I hope you enjoy this little innocent late teens fluff!

He did not seem to mind.

In fact, he was the only one who would not scold me for losing my temper and not handling it the better.

But why had it to be controlling the weather that I was gifted with? It was burdening at times. I mean, it is nice to produce sunshine, and everybody is happy to sunbath and play in the open with the warm rays tainting their skins and making them feel good.

But there were those days when I felt miserable, or tired, and then, the slightest incident made me explode and the result? A cloud, rain, or worse, thunderstorm….

And Mama would not tolerate it, frown at me, and tell me to calm down and relax.

But it was so difficult, and still, I wanted to please her, make her proud of me…

Maybe it would get better when I turned older, wiser, more known to life?

And that other day was no better.

And I had hoped that Mama would allow us Madrigal children to get tutored privately, not being exposed in public school. But she said that we get treated as all the other children and to mingle with them was important to get to know everybody in Encanto.

I felt embarrassed so many times. I mean, Julieta could easily heal a bruised knee on the schoolyard. She was making others feel better. Bruno was making the other kids go all obsessed with his adventurous visions. He was the mysterious guy with prophetic skills. They were magically gifted heroes. And me? When I got teased, I started raining, and then they laughed… Only when I then freaked out and showered the schoolyard with an unstoppable hail shower, everybody started screaming and running wildly inside. The result? I got scolded for risking the other kids catching a cold… It was a vicious circle.

I did not want to go to school. Until that one miraculous day.

I sat in class with drenched skirt and hair, once again, miserably glaring down on my desk, watching the raindrops crashing onto my book, and the lines got blurred. Certainly, my tears were not really helping to save the disaster, when I felt something warm, gently wrapping my shoulders, and I noticed a poncho covering my wet body.

“Hey, Pepa. It´s already autumn and you should not fetch a cold. You might suffer harder from a runny nose than any of us? I am worried for your health."

Felix!

He was such a dear. Always considerate and yet, not taken fully earnest himself because he was slightly chubby and rather small. Not necessarily the Don Juan from the fairy tales. But I did not care. Felix was genuinely a friend.

And I was no sleeping beauty, either…

Since then, Felix had walked me home, had helped me with physics since I did not get it. In return, I helped him with Spanish grammar. We were a good team and we understood each other so nicely.

And then, there was this day when our teacher announced a test. A test! About the physical terms of a rainbow. I hated it. I didn´t understand it. And everybody shook their head. I should be totally the professor on that topic. But I wasn´t, and it made me furious. In turn, I produced a thunderstorm, in the middle of the classroom.

Julieta tried to sooth me with her pie, Bruno tried to give me a pleasant prospect of my bright future where physics-test wouldn´t matter anymore. It did not help. I simply felt anxious, embarrassed, and frustrated. And most of all, misunderstood… And like always, everybody left me alone, out of sheer helplessness. Of course, I could not blame them, and I covered my face in my arms on my desk, the dark cloud above me my only companion.

“Hey!” a soft voice echoed through the wind in my ears and a gentle hand was stroking the back of my head, “you can do it. Remember how you explained to me the process of a rainbow near the riverbank on that sunny afternoon?”

Felix did it again. Only that I had no idea of how he did it. He calmed my nerves and temper only by… being there.

Instinctively I lifted my eyes, and the smile that I met was the kindest. My heart leaped and my belly flipped. And then I knew it. This man was the completion to my magic. The only one who made me handle it!

I brushed that nasty cloud away and smiled back at him.

Felix took my hand, and the touch was thrilling. I flung my arms around his neck and pecked a kiss to his soft cheek. It felt so nice, so… home.

“Thank you.”

“Pepa, don´t you know how lovely you are? You need not be so nervous. But know that I will always be there for you.”

“Oh…. Why? I am such a temper, and you risk of getting drenched.”

His smile captivating, he pecked a kiss directly onto my lips. It was incredible, and I felt like melting into that voluminous and yet so sturdy figure.

“Because I love you.” Felix shrugged shyly, but still running a finger along my cheekbone.

And then, everything seemed unimportant and the surroundings dissipating in meaninglessness. I was not aware at that moment what happened, but my complete core calmed, and my heart grew warm with… oh my gosh… love!

And then it appeared above us both… miraculously.

“Felix, you make me rainbow!”

I tend to keep a lot of my "vulnerable" feelings a bit bottled up lol BUT I am working on that lol I of course appreciate you sooo much! Even before I claimed the 💜emoji, I HEAVILY related to your MC's like there were so many similarities in their personality and struggles that for a second got a little TOO REAL lol And to know you put alot of yourself into your stories and characters it felt nice to know that I wasn't alone in feeling like that. Sometimes it feels like something is so wrong with me when it gets tough so knowing that my feelings aren't so strange made/makes me feel alright :) idk if any of that made sense lol

omg don't even get me started when parents trauma dump 😭 idk if i mentioned this before or not but Im first gen Mexican American so literally Mexican parents/elders will literally tell you the most TRAUMATZING stories/experiences then go to say shit like "it's okay, thank god we are better now😁" LIKE HELLO!? WE NEED TO UNPACK THAT?!

I often think if I would be "happier" if I had just chosen a semester school bc I despise this horrid system lol But youre so kind, you have no idea😭

OMG YOU THINK I HAVE A SOCIAL LIFE??? thats crazy bc I feel like mine isn't too crazy or fun lol I have a small core group of friends but the majority of them aren't in school and the friends I do have in college i feel like I rarely seem them due to all of us being so busy lol But ngl i do love going to the free events there like concerts and drag shows WHICH ARE MY FAVE!!! but even then hanging out can sometimes be a little draining for me but once again Im trying to work on that lol.

But bestie you graduated early?! That's really cool! And that is such a big accomplishment! And I can't blame you for wanting your Friends moment like who wouldn't want that?! I wanted a cute little college romance but instead Im over hear falling for my professor lol OH i forgot to mention I have a cute TA in one of my psyc classes so Im saying sorry in advance for how annoying I will be about him 😔

I totally get the bottling your feelings up. I think Tulips is most like that. She has some issues (she, being me). I'm glad feeling relatable was a comfort for you. I know it's a comfort for me and I think one of the NICEST things about writing on here is that there are actually many people share the same feelings as me (us). Way more than I thought. It's kind of isolating day-to-day so it's nice to know it doesn't have to be.

HEY RANDOM!!! do you know your Myer's Brigg Personality? I am a HUGE personality test taker. Those buzzfeed ones that were like "What toaster are you?" literally obsessed. or the soldier, poet, king test? Any of them! I love them. It might be a little confirmation bias-y in my own personality but I don't care; I love them. HAHAHAHHAHA I did one for a job years ago I would have to dig it out to remember what the actual test was but i think it was like your big 5 qualities in the work place. My mom and I are very similar. My bf has some pretty convincing theories about how my mom used to be like my sister and then turned into me when she had kids because she had to be responsible. So her trauma dumping often includes a lot of regrets and worries. You've mentioned your Mexican-American heritage before and I've seen a lot in the media (I know it's not exactly the same and probs also childish of me to rely on Disney for media but Encanto and Coco I feel like were semi-good examples--please don't think the worst of me if you disagree) Encanto especially--Grandma has some things to talk through. That's a lot to unload on you (or anyone!). Again, nice to know it's relatable even if it's sad sometimes. At least I'm not alone! 💕

About mxm I am comfortable with it; in fact I'm a big fan of threesomes or poly with slight mxm content or implied mxm. I consider myself NB, and I love some bottom boys, voyeurism, things like that.

Now for just straight mxm, while I have read a piece here and there, it's not usually my cup of tea but I will read it. If it's a ship piece between two members it's unlikely but a male reader? One I can relate to or see myself in a little? Yeah I'm down for that.

Thus nicknames or keeping the use of y/n out of dialouge works. You can have them do something like: He called out your name to stop you, rushing to catch up. "You forgot this." Something like that :) it's what I try to do.

But honestly, write what you are comfortable with really.

Now for the books/movies/words/songs thing? Umn lemme see.

For songs that's hard. I can tell you some songs that mean a lot to me, they helped me get through some dark times. 'One day at a time' I have tattooed and it means the world to me. Sunrise as well since I saw that live. Halazia I had played over 1700 times this year ^^' but before Ateez there were bands like Linkin Park that meant a lot to me. Hongjoong’s cover of Numb was the reason he became my ult, and he's stayed there since. I doubt he's going away any time soon.

Movie wise- LOTR trilogy is one of my favorites, and I adore Pirates of the Caribbean as well. Encanto also hit hard

Books- I've read to many BUT I dp have an obsession with manhwa's that involve isekai as the villainess. Particularly the ones that have a smart and cunning character that works hard to carve her own future.

Words that describe me? I'm a simp, at times a gremlin, and I supposed a tired dad [at least have that energy]. I play therapist for my friends more often than I see my own, and will dissociate to avoid my problems :') The AuDHD is strong with me.

Sure! I’ve had this banner for about eight years, when I created this account. I’ve never bothered to change it. I was super dramatic back then. And I was also dealing with a lot of things I didn’t have words for at the time.

I mostly didn’t change it because I had no clue what I was going to blog here. I think the first stuff I posted (read: reblogged) was maybe Pride and Prejudice related? Or Avatar the Last Airbender. Or anxiety? Not sure.

(Although Tumblr taught me enough about anxiety I was able to seek the help I had a ridiculous, unbelievable need for.)

At one point, Disney princesses were a big thing for me. We don’t talk about the reylo obsession and subsequent disappointment, but we can talk about how media has the ability to be relatable and help you deal with life in new ways. A brief stint in Marvel and GOT. You can’t forget Percy Jackson. There was at one point or another I’ve wanted to post about the classics, like Greek mythology and the impact of various western canon so I could develop the thesis I’ll probably never write.

I’m now wondering why I’ve never posted about Encanto because I look exactly like the main character and that’s not the only comparison….

The point is, this blog doesn’t have one focus to me and it has to do with still not having a voice online or IRL despite trying.

Sometimes, I’ve progressed and am a refined human being with goals(?), sometimes I’m still a kid with a blog named “Hello” and an ancient account with no profile picture that I send all my favorite stuff I’m too scared to post to. That’s just me.

Fun facts: My profile picture is my sister wearing my college graduation mortarboard back in 2018. My username is directly related to my elementary to high school best friend regularly calling me crazy just for being me? (One of many unbalanced relationships I’ve had)
