💙 Jinx loves to tease you. It’s one of the many ways she expresses her intense and endless adoration for you. The way your eyes widen when she catches you off guard, the way you look away, try to cover your flustered face and hide your blushing- it almost made her heart stop.

💙 She never got tired of this playful roughhousing. With her seemingly endless energy, she always had an advantage over you in your sweet “battles”. This game was one of her favorite things, really. 💙 “Hey! Get off of me!!” You protest as she manages to get an upper hand on you. Her hands wrap around your waist in a tight grip. She holds you down firmly. Her brightly-colored nails just barely graze your skin, making you squirm.

💙 “Aww, am I making my sweet little girlfriend mad? How cute…” She taunts lightheartedly as she presses you down.

💙 Hearing her say that never failed to give you butterflies. My girlfriend. After what felt like an eternity of mutual pining, you had finally become official girlfriends. You still could barely believe it. She was your everything, and you were hers.

💙 Jinx climbs on top of you, straddling your body and laughing mockingly. You try to gently push her off, playing along with her and greatly enjoying this wrestling. She found your attempts to defeat her amusing. You can’t deny the way your heart races at her being this close to you... how amazing the feeling of your skin against hers was. Her proximity makes you nervous, and you whimper a little as your body writhes helplessly beneath your lover. 💙 “You’re gonna need to try harder than that, my love.” She teases as you struggle under her to try to free yourself. One of her hands sneaks up to your neck, moving in swift teasing motions. Her other hand brushes past your skin and she rubs gentle circles on your hip. You sigh with enjoyment.

💙 Jinx is just inches away from your neck, and the feeling of her breath against your skin drives you wild. Her lips just barely graze you- she knew how sensitive you were there. It feels so good inside. You lean into her touch as she nips at your neck gently. She knew exactly how to work you into a frenzy and make you a flustered mess.

💙 “Ah… please slow down… that tickles too much,” you breathe out, "please be gentle..."

💙 Her hold on you loosens a little in surprise from your soft cries. She stills herself to stare at you before a wide grin spreads on her face. She relishes in being able to make you feel good like this. It makes her warm and excited, and encourages her to keep going.

💙 “I’m not doing anything~” your girlfriend says with a cheeky smile, feigning innocence. She bats her eyelashes, her eyes sparkling at you with a flirtatious look. You feel so good and she knows it.

💙 She kisses your neck and grazes you ever so gently with her teeth, nibbling passionately. Her lips are so soft and warm. This feeling is too much to take. “That’s not fair!!” you whine. “You- you know all of my weak spots…”

💙 “All is fair in love and war, toots,” she giggles mischievously. "This is really getting to you..."

💙 “Get off!!” You squeal playfully, your voice needy.

💙 “Make me."

💙 She challenges you with that, her voice dripping with a harmless arrogance. She could not enjoy this more, couldn’t get enough of your adorable reactions. She’s eager to see how you’ll respond to her words, and she feels overwhelming happiness bubbling up inside. Jinx is absolutely giddy.

💙 Your breath hitches at hearing this. You smile, your face easing as you narrow your eyes at her playfully. “Oh you’re asking for it now~ You’ll pay for that!”

💙 “Oh yeah? What are you gonna do about it? Love and cuddle me to death?” She chuckles smugly then smirks down at you. She’s feeling very proud and self-satisfied. The look on her face is suggestive.

💙 “That’s exactly what I’m gonna do-!!”

💙 “You’ve got me shaking in my boots, hun. Real scary.” She sneers and her eyebrow raises curiously. You make her snicker.

💙 You grab one of her blue braids and gently tug on it, pulling her closer to you. Her eyes widen at the sudden jerking motion. She squeals playfully and pretends to struggle. “No!! Anything but that, love!!” She says sweetly as she tries to wiggle away. You start to give her affectionate kisses on her head.

💙 Jinx pretends to shriek in pure agony. “Oh no, my only weakness!! Please help me!!! I cannot stand being smothered by my girlfriend’s love!!” She exaggerates her act, her voice dramatic as can be. This is so fun for her. 💙 “I won’t show any mercy,” you say and you lean down. You cup her face with one hand, tracing your fingers against her soft skin. You bring your lips to her neck, planting several feverishly quick kisses like you are attacking her. Her neck, her collarbone, her shoulders. Wherever your passion can reach. She laughs endearingly as she tries to shove you off.

💙 “No, not the kisses!! I can’t stand it!!” She wails as if she’s suffering. Her giggles make your heart skip a beat, and your eyes light up with pure affection as you look down at your sweet girlfriend. She's blushing from all of her laughter.

💙 You move yourself downward and start to blow raspberries on Jinx's bare stomach. Her body tenses up in response to the sudden stimulation. As she laughs, you feel her whole body softly shake beneath you. You look up at her. Your eyes meet and you share a moment of just staring at each other with pure love. 💙 This is so intimate. You feel butterflies in your stomach, hotness in your body, your chest pounding... This was the way you always felt when you looked at the girl who had stolen your heart. Being this close to her you could feel your cheeks become flushed. The two of you can feel the heat from each other.

💙 “That’s my girl,” she chuckled as she kissed your head. She runs her fingers carefully through your hair, massaging you. “I love you too. I love you so much.”

After showering and falling asleep you wake up when the bed dips turning your head to see sasha dressed in an anime shirt and shorts laying behind you immediately pulling her into your arms knowing how exhausted and frustrated she was from the bullshit "I'm proud of you for not taking shit and no matter what you choose to do I am always here for and with you" the words melt her heart as the two of you share a sweet kiss before going to bed picking up extra shifts from your job to work even though the two of you were in good financial terms but you didn't want to take that chance of things going to shit even if it was just for a little while but luckily she ended up becoming apart of New Japan Pro Wrestling who were truly and absolutely wonderful always showed support and love for her and you as well despite not being a wrestler loving the many visits to Japan becoming great friends with many fellow wrestlers, fans, and people who run NJPW feeling sad when sasha left the business after a year but when you found out she was joining AEW oh boy everyone was in for a superstar in their tracks.

Overall these awards are just popularity contests but I still liked a lot of what I saw. The Favourite Wrestler top 50 actually being half women is great and soon enough it'll be all women and we can finally admit we just don't need men's wrestling any more. I can't believe how insanely popular Cosmic Angels are, especially with the let's say rocky 2023 they had, but I guess some things are just so undeniably great people can't miss it.

The Iron Claw: Review

Fighting with my family

With the super tight trunks and dodgy haircuts, there’s something wonderfully daft about the world of professional wrestling. But whether it’s The Wrestler or Foxcatcher, the sport has served as a serious topic to explore the destructive nature of masculinity in cinema. Weighing in at just over 2 hours, the latest to join the ring is The Iron Claw, a poignant true story about an ill-fated wrestling family.

Set in 1980s Texas, we spend our time with the Von Erichs, an unusually close family of wrestlers and athletes. Led by patriarch and former pro wrestler Fritz Von Erich (a steely Holt McCallany) with his formidable wife Doris (a marvelous Maura Tierney), he rules the home with an iron claw, and looks to his four sons to carry on his wrestling legacy. He even has a hierarchy of what boys he favors - there’s olympic athlete Kerry (Jeremy Allen White), eldest son Kevin (Zac Efron), swaggering David (Harris Dickinson), and the more sensitive Mike (Stanley Simons). As the brothers jostle for a higher position, Kevin starts to have doubts about his father’s tough love approach.

While Fighting with my Family looked at how professional wrestling could bring a family together, this looks at how the need to appear macho in the sport can slowly tear a family apart. The Von Erich family is presented as a stifling cage that the brothers can’t escape, where talking about your feelings is taboo, and shedding a tear during a funeral too ‘unmanly’. There’s even a family curse that is invoked in the face of tragedy, when someone is pushed too close to the edge. From Sean Durkin, writer-director of Martha Marcy May Marlene, this is another excellent study of pent-up emotion and repressed feelings, with a show-don’t-tell approach that grounds the story, and makes major plot developments more upsetting.

As the Von Erich family makes a name for itself in the world of NWA wrestling, the sudden fame and physical demands begin to impact the family dynamic in fascinating, devastating ways. This results in some truly layered performances, including Allen White as the troubled Kerry, and Simons as Mike, whose inability to fit the macho mold is the most heart-breaking plot point. While Kevin’s eyes are opened to a different kind of life with girlfriend Pam (a spirited Lily James), it’s fair to say the others aren’t so lucky.

Sitting ringside to this story of family turmoil is Efron’s Kevin, the brawny elder brother whose emotional maturity has been stilted by the pursuit of someone else’s dream. Trading in on his physicality (and a strong resemblance to He-Man), Efron is perfectly cast as a troubled man who chafes against his father’s domineering parental style, but struggles to put his doubts into words. It’s a complex and perceptive performance, allowing Efron to flex acting muscles that he previously hasn’t been able to. Like his central performance, the film aches with sadness and regret, acting as a plea for men everywhere: when the going gets tough, don’t be afraid to cry!

With a masterful grasp of tone and subtle story-telling that packs a punch, The Iron Claw is a sad and compelling story about the limits of traditional masculinity.

when i make the video essay about bowie total drama as a flamboyant gay man and a villain/antagonist as my ideal modernisation of the series’ relationship with feminine male villains then you will understand you will all understand. every male villain in the first four seasons (possibly w the exception of scott but that’s a discussion. i am including lightning also) is to some degree metrosexual on purpose evilness is directly linked to effeminacy and vanity in men chris chef justin (didn’t even do anything that evil he was just gay) s2 geoff alejandro. it is quantifiable and linked the eviller geoff gets the more he cares about his stage makeup and diet alejandro’s older brother who is slightly eviller than him also has a slightly better skincare regimen. it is a fixture in series male villains to have jokes about vanity and ohh not my hairr but it is ALSO used to demonstrate that a male villain is not a major threat. they do this wayyy more with alejandro in all stars where he’s definitely mean and one to watch out for but not the main villain. he’s suddenly waxing his eyebrows and complaining when his face gets injured they justined him

emphasising effeminacy/metrosexuality here bc i’m not saying these characters are written as queer it’s more that visual and characterisation shorthand for villains is often rooted in older depictions of villainous gay men. pro wrestler mjf’s schtick is that he’s a douchey republican frat bro but as a heel he pulls consciously or not from the gorgeous george tradition of overdressed cowardly effete gay villains. he’s quite metro he’s known for his atrocious fake tan and burberry obsession he wears suits in the ring because he doesn’t intend to fight and has a big diamond pinkie ring he uses to cheat. several of his most infamous moments are him lulling a more masc Real fighter into a truce and then kicking him in the nuts. there’s a lot of overlap in terms of imagery between a villain who is loathsome because they’re wealthy and a villain who is loathsome because they’re gay gorgeous george is an excellent example of this as an absolutely genre-defining heel. at the working men’s clubs pro wrestling originated in seeing a villain who’s a snooty rich guy dressed fancy looking down on them get beaten to shit went down great !! gorgeous george was also incredibly effete he was a gay rich villain and part of the pleasure in seeing him get taken down was rooted in seeing the heterosexual hero take down his perverse wealthy opponent. almost impossible to extricate hatred of the wealthy villain from hatred of the gay villain in this case and it leaks down

genuinely much more interesting for td to lean into this trope and have a feminine gay man who is manipulative and plays to win rather than pointedly having him be super nice or having a character be manipulative but hyper-heterosexual (arguably scott but again there’s stuff going on w scott. mommy gf + ‘you were kissing a gentleman?’ + courtney i’m your girlfriend !!). anyway i’m a bowie liker i think he’s fun and fascinating as both a rejection and modernisation of the trope

It had been a little over six months since the Forbidden Door pay per view, the last time you had seen your boyfriend, Riley better known as El Phantasmo, in person. You were thrilled when the announcement was made that All Elite Wrestling was going to be collaborating with New Japan Pro Wrestling. You didn’t know who all would be participating from NJPW at the time of the announcement, but you hoped that El Phantasmo would be selected for the pay per view. You missed him like crazy, not being able to see each other everyday anymore was killing you.

Before you arrived in AEW, you were putting in the work in Japan with Stardom and making appearances as well as exhibition matches and even title matches in NJPW. Your first time there you had run into a variety of the New Japan guys from Hiroshi Tanahashi to Kota Ibushi, and some of the factions from Los Ingobernables de Japón to Chaos. You were feeling pretty good about working a New Japan show until Bullet Club circled you. You knew about Bullet Club, you had actually met the OGs leaving the dojo all those years ago, and the feeling of danger and the don’t-mess-with-me attitude stuck with you.

You remember looking around you at all the faces, most were familiar except for a few, and one of those few caught your eye. He didn’t give you the exact same vibes as the others did, it was something different but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it. You watched as Jay White approached you, only zoning out after the first couple sentences left his mouth because the man, you later learned was called El Phantasmo, had your attention. You studied his face and body language, he wasn’t too thrilled Jay was flirting with you or standing so close to you. When he noticed you were looking at him he gave you a smirk and wink before anyone could notice. That’s when you felt your heart flutter. After BC finally left you alone, you couldn’t stop thinking of El Phantasmo.

Each time you were on a NJPW show you always ended up running into Bullet Club. You and Riley would exchange glances in secret, not knowing how the rest of the club would feel, mostly Jay since he would make an effort to flirt with you when your paths crossed. Honestly, you kind of felt bad that he didn’t get the hint you weren’t interested, it just caused you to come out and say it one day.

Once you had told Jay you were interested in someone else, you saw Riley’s face light up, not only at your words but at the wink you shot him. He was quick to recover before Jay could catch his reaction. Your confession left Jay baffled. Who turns down Switchblade Jay White?

You and Riley had gotten close and had been out on several dates as time went on, eventually making it official. You’ll never forget the look on Jay’s face when he saw you and Riley walk in hand in hand, the man was speechless for once. Riley announced to the club that you two had been seeing each other for the past month and that you agreed to be his girlfriend. The club was happy for Riley, and after congratulations were over, everyone looked at Jay who had an unreadable expression but finally smirked saying, “If you ever break up, you know where to find me.”

Fast forward to the day AEW reached out with a letter expressing their interest in you. You were shocked because you still had another year left on your contract with Stardom and NJPW. Over the years, you had become an asset to Bullet Club, always being ringside for Bullet Club’s Cutest Tag Team, and ensuring they always win. You ended up becoming a member of BC not long after you started dating Riley. Jay was quick to notice not only what an outstanding wrestler you were but how valuable you would be for the club. Their hidden weapon, a pretty poison if you will.

You showed Riley the letter the moment it came. Tony Kahn had laid it all out for you, it was a good deal, a great one actually. Tony had written about how some fellow wrestlers recommended you when he mentioned he wanted to add one more woman to the division, and upon reviewing your matches, promos, and interviews, he agreed with those people — you were without a shadow of a doubt all elite. Thankfully, you didn’t have to give an answer right away and could think about what you wanted to do — accept or reject the offer. This gave you plenty of time to talk it over with Riley. You respected and valued his opinion, but not only that, this was a big decision that affected the both of you and your relationship.

The conversation took place over the span of a week. The discussion consisted of arguments, more than you cared to count. Near the end of the week, you and Riley finally decided to sit down and write it all out, the pros and cons, the concerns and worries. Once the lists were made and concerns were voiced and with the help of your boyfriend you finally had your decision — you were going to accept the offer and join AEW.

Riley knew this would be a good move for you and you would benefit from venturing into the states. He just hated to see you leave, wanting to be selfish and keep you in Japan with him, the place where you two met, where you two live together, and where you two work together. He knew his thoughts and feelings on the matter impacted your decision and the arguments prior showed that when you told him, “Maybe you’re right. Maybe I shouldn’t go. Japan has become my home, my home with you, and maybe leaving for some might-not-be-fulfilled promises is a waste of time.”

Hearing those words leave your lips was his wake up call, you sounded excited at first when the offer was made, but after the arguments with him, he heard how you sounded defeated, especially when he saw your face fall when he said, “AEW probably isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I mean look at who works there.” Needless to say, he felt like shit seeing his words have that effect on you.

Once the decision was made, you were going to tell Bullet Club about the offer, and how you thought about it, and that you and Riley talked it over, finally reaching the agreement to accept. You were nervous about telling the club, you didn’t want them to to be mad at you, hate you, or kick you out because you were leaving. Riley knew exactly how to tell if you’re nervous and anxious about things. He watched you constantly wring your hands, he saw you biting your lip, how you just couldn’t sit still and your leg bouncing rapidly. Riley hated seeing you like that so he softly placed a comforting hand on your ever bouncing leg. “It’s all going to be fine, I’ll be right there beside you. They’ll be happy for you. Sure, they’ll hate to see you leave Japan but I don’t think they’ll hate you for it.” Riley comforted, removing his hand from your leg and wrapping his arms around you, pulling you into a much needed tight hug.

Riley was right. The guys were happy for you and this opportunity given to you, but obviously they hated to see you leave. They all assured you that you would always be Bullet Club regardless where you worked. Those words were confirmed when Jay agreed, adding that you would always be their pretty poison. It meant the world to you hearing the guys rally behind you and support you, especially since Jay was letting you stay in BC. You had grown to love those men and ended up being close — practically sisters — with Pieter. You’d miss her and hated leaving her alone with guys, but you knew she could handle them and if not, you would catch the first flight out to put them in their place.

When the day came for you to leave, you were a wreck, constantly crying and saying you changed your mind, that you wanted to stay. Riley would just silently pull you into a hug, rubbing your back the entire time while you clung onto him, soaking his shirt with your tears. You knew back when you made the decision to leave that you would be sad and what not, but you didn’t realize just how hard leaving everyone and everything would hit you. Luckily, you had been packed and ready for the past two days, quadruple checking your checklist of clothes, necessities, and other items. You remember like it was yesterday when you went to go over your checklist for the ‘billionth time’ as Riley had put it, you noticed Riley had snuck in a couple of his shirts and a hoodie, along with a bottle of his cologne. That was what started the waterworks. That one little gesture made your heart swell and made you wish he was coming with you.

As the day went on, you tried not to continuously cry your eyes out, sniffling and wiping your eyes to the point they were raw. Riley would make sure to be within arms reach in case you needed him, which you did — a lot. He tried to be strong for you, both of you crying would make things more difficult. “I’m always a call, text, and FaceTime away whenever you need or miss me. Day or night, I don’t care about the time zone difference. You’re my world babe, and no amount of distance will ever change that.” He reminds you as he pulls you into a kiss that made you weak in the knees from the passion. You knew where this kiss would lead — the same place it always did — the bedroom. You were correct as Riley’s hands roamed your body and began discarding your clothes, you doing the same to him. Before long the pair of you were a tangled mess in the sheets.

You ended up being thirty minutes late to the airport thanks to the sexy time you and your boyfriend had causing you both to lose track of time. Thankfully, your flight was delayed an hour due to some reason you didn’t care about because this meant you wouldn’t miss your flight and you also got to spend one more hour with your love. Or so you thought. You heard a group yelling and shouting at you from behind. Turning around you see all of Bullet Club rushing up to you, Pieter was the first to give you a massive hug thanks to her elbowing her way through the crowd of men. One by one they all gave you a hug and told you they’d miss you and wished you the best as well to call or text them. The sweetness was making you turn into a puddle of tears. You promised the men you call them and you promised Pieter you’d FaceTime her every day to tell her about your new adventure and her to tell you all about the chaotic schemes the guys come up with.

Shortly after that, it was time for you to board your plane. You took a deep shaky breath and opened your mouth to tell them bye when you were tackled into a massive group hug. You honestly wished the hug lasted longer, it felt like home because these devious little shits were your family.

You felt Riley pull you into a tight hug followed by one last passionate and loving kiss before you inevitably had to leave. “I love you. Call me when you land so I know you made it safely.” He sniffles, wiping away the tears that slid down his cheeks.

You nodded, quickly wiping your tears away as well. “I love you too. I— I have to go.” You whispered, not trusting your voice and knowing you wouldn’t be able to stop the tears. Riley gave your hand a final squeeze before letting you go and watching you board your plane.

That was the last time you saw your boyfriend in person. You talked to him every chance you got and he did the same. More often that not, the preferred method of communication was FaceTime. It made you both feel better seeing one another’s face, attempting to make it feel like you were still in close proximity to each other.

It was maybe five months after you joined AEW that the announcement was made for Forbidden Door, and you were excited, hoping that El Phantasmo would be on the show. Come to find out, he was and you were thrilled. You were finally going to see him in person again. The lead up to the pay per view went by slow in your eyes. You were so ready for it to be June 26th.

You didn’t have a match at Forbidden Door but that didn’t mean you wouldn’t be on the show. You were going out there like you used to back in NJPW — valeting Bullet Club, more specifically, your boyfriend. You thought you were thrilled before, now you were ecstatic. You had learned over the months that BC was going to be represented in a few different matches. El Phantasmo was teaming with The Young Bucks with you and Hikuleo ringside, and Jay would be defending his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

You remembered when Jay ventured over to AEW, you were happy to see him again, happy to fill him in on everything he needed to know about two of his three opponents for the pay per view — Adam Cole and Hangman Adam Page.

It was clear real quick that people knew where your allegiance fell, you were still a full fledged member of Bullet Club for crying out loud, and everyone knew, granted you never let them forget. Which is why Adam Cole was always trying to talk to you and talk you into some good deals if you stuck with him because, as he reminded you, Bullet Club is for life. At first you didn’t want to deal with him, but this little idea popped into your head. Everyone already knows my loyalties lie with the club, and Cole is so delusional that his little plan will work to get in Jay’s head, maybe I should have some fun with this. Poor Bay Bay won’t see this coming. That’s when you cooked up the idea to spy on Cole, to get him to trust you because you knew he didn’t know you as well as he thought. You knew the look on his face at the end of it all would be too sweet.

Your plan worked flawlessly as you relayed all the information over to Jay, the two of you coming up with how to reveal to Adam that he can’t outsmart the Switchblade as well as reveal that you were the X factor in all of it if he couldn’t put the pieces together himself. In time, all was revealed to Adam and the world just exactly what’s been going on. The look on Adam’s face was, indeed, too sweet.

All this was the buildup to Forbidden Door and that meant that you would be reunited with Riley soon. There’s not enough words to describe how happy you were. You stayed to yourself after the last Dynamite, ignoring all the chatter and rumors swirling about you and who knows what else. You didn’t mind it one bit, all you cared about was seeing your boyfriend.

The day Forbidden Door arrived was as chaotic like you had expected, the hustle and bustle of the crew and wrestlers were a big indicator. You kept your phone glued to your hand, impatiently waiting for Riley to call you, he told you he would call when he was on his way to the arena. Just when you were about to call him, hands covered your eyes and you were about to whip around and start wailing on the poor soul until you heard that familiar voice. “Guess who?!” Riley jokingly asked.

You wanted to be mad at him for not calling you, but you liked this surprise. Turning around to finally come face to face with him after all these months apart was unlike any feeling you’d ever felt. You couldn’t help but cry, and you didn’t care who saw. Riley pulled you into the same tight hug he gave you on the day you left. He pulled away after what felt like hours and wiped away your falling tears that you didn’t realize were there. You couldn’t wait any longer and pulled him into a passionate kiss that left the both of you breathless.

It wasn’t until Hikuleo coughed that alerted you he had been there the whole time as well as a smirking Jay. You just shook your head at Jay as he headed down the hall towards his private locker room. You and Riley followed after him, hand in hand, not caring what looks you received as you passed by your coworkers.

Time came for Riley’s match and you accompanied him to the ring as his music played, the two of you sharing a kiss once inside the ring. Once the match was about to get underway, you slipped out of the ring and joined Hikuleo on the floor, ready to assist as needed while keeping an eye on Himoru who was on the floor across from you.

You did everything you could like always to ensure that El Phantasmo would win, but unfortunately, no matter what you did it wasn’t enough, resulting in a loss for your team. You were bummed about it but Riley draping his arm over your shoulders is what lifted your spirits. He was there with you, and the two of you were going to make up for lost time.

Typically you’d go out and have a drink or two at the nearest bar before going to the hotel to call Riley, but tonight Riley was there with you. The pair of you turned down Jay and Hikuleo’s invitation for drinks, wanting to spend as much time together as possible before he had to leave.

At the hotel, you led Riley to your room and no sooner than you were in the door, his lips were on yours. You missed the way his lips felt, the way they tasted. The kiss was full of love and lust. You instantly returned the kiss, fingers running through his hair as he hands glided down your back and to you ass. You jumped when you felt him give your ass a squeeze followed by a firm slap. You missed this, his playfulness all while being incredibly sexy.

You reluctantly pulled away from his intoxicating lips, taking his hand and leading him farther into the room, giving him a sultry smile as you did so. You gently pushed him onto the bed and kissed him like your life depended on it. Riley wanted this just as bad you, pulling urgently at your clothes then his own. It wasn’t long before the two of you were once again tangled up in the sheets.

The next morning Riley awoke before you, tracing feather light circles on your arm as he admired your beautiful sleeping form. He had never felt like this before, and sometimes — a lot of the time — it scared him. He wasn’t sure what exactly he was supposed do now that there was this long distance between you and him. He loved you and would always fight for you, he didn’t have a doubt about that. He just didn’t know what the next step was with your relationship, he never pictured himself settling down until you graced him with your presence those few years ago. Now he thought a lot about marrying you, he was still undecided on kids though. He never saw himself as a dad either but who knows, after you’ve changed his mind on settling down he knew you could change his mind on anything.

Slowly opening your eyes, you instinctively moved closer to your boyfriend, you didn’t want any amount of space between you two. You adjusted your body so you could lay your head on chest and drape you arm across his stomach. “I was afraid yesterday and last night was all just a cruel dream.” You admitted quietly, snuggling further into his chest. “I’m glad it wasn’t. I missed you more than you can fathom.” You confessed. You felt Riley’s arms tighten around your body and place a kiss to the crown of your head.

“I was afraid of that too, babe. I missed you so much the guys threatened to tape my mouth shut.” He laughed. Oh how you missed that laugh, it was music to your ears. “I never wanna leave this bed.”

You were quick to prop up on your elbow, eyes wide. “Did you just quote Maroon 5?!” You asked in shock, curious if your ears deceived you.

“I did and I hate it.” He sighed, never one to care for pop music despite you enjoying it amongst other genres, some he liked and others he didn’t. You couldn’t help but laugh at his disgusted expression.

You went to get up but Riley pulled you back down. “And where do you think you’re going?” He asks, wanting you to stay in bed with him.

“Bathroom. And to get dressed, I’m hungry.” You stated, once again trying to get out of the bed. This time Riley let’s you go.

“I already got my eye on dessert!” He called after you, admiring the view of you walking off. You chuckled to yourself and shook your head, glad to know he hasn’t changed one bit.

Once the both of you were dressed, a knock at the door startled you. You weren’t expecting anyone but thought that maybe it was Jay and Hikuleo. You took a couple steps towards the door when Riley stopped you. “I got it, babe. It’s a surprise.” He winked as he passed by you and reached the door. You were confused on what kind of surprise he had in store for you. Honestly, you were a little nervous about what it could be because knowing your boyfriend, it could be anything.

You watched perched on the edge of an arm chair near the bed, head tilted to the side, eyebrows furrowed. You watched Riley step aside as a hotel employee rolled a cart into the room, a dome covered plate with coffee, tea, and orange juice sitting around the plate. There were small bowls of various fruit strategically placed on the tray as well. You made note of the fresh bouquet of flowers on the cart, a mixture of your favorite flowers — colored roses, sunflowers, daisies, and tulips.

You were overwhelmed with emotion at Riley’s sweetness. “What’s all this?” You ask, softly, wiping away tears from your eyes. You were definitely not expecting this.

Riley shrugged. “Just felt right.” He said, nonchalantly as he made his way over to you. “I bet you’re dying to see what’s for breakfast.” He grinned, pulling you into his arms and placing a gentle, loving kiss to your neck.

“Obviously.” You chuckled, looking up into the most gorgeous pair of eyes you’ve ever seen. “Depending on what it is I might not share.” You joked, nudging him playfully.

He shook his head moving away from you and lifting the dome to reveal pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage. It was definitely way more food than you could ever eat.

“Considering how much food is here, you definitely have to eat some.” You said as you passed him a fork. “You didn’t have to do this you know. I would have been fine with a bowl of cereal.”

“I love you and you deserve it, babe.” Riley gave you another loving kiss, this time to your temple. “Nothing but the best for my girl, my queen. Now, dig in!” He exclaimed before taking a big bite of a pancake.

Like the Grinch, you felt your heart grow three sizes that day. The remainder of the day was spent just goofing off and sight seeing. You knew you missed your other half, but until that day, you didn’t realize just how much you missed him. You were determined to fly out to Japan and surprise him the first chance you got.

My goofiest idea yet: Ace Attorney Wrestling Crossover AU

Starring Phoenix Wright as the guy I'll focus on the most, at least for this post.

The premise is: All culprits, Defendants, Legal Workers and some victims are all wrestling champions. Most minors are either not wrestling or are in junior/little league wrestling

- It follows the same storyline as the canon Ace Attorney games, but instead of murders it would be wins and loses or sometimes even decommissioning a wrestler due to an injury

- Much like in Ace Attorney AND in wrestling storytelling, there are heroes and villains, and long fleshed out conflicts and plotines

- Phoenix Wright's gimmick in wrestling is that he's a lawyer

- By "defending" someone, Phoenix is either winning a tag team match with his "defendant" or avenging his "defendant" over a loss that seemed unjust

I go more into his storyline below (vague spoilers for every game as it goes on)

- Phoenix was originally going to art school, but he started wanting to wrestle when he saw his former friend, Miles Edgeworth, as "The Demon Prosecutor", a wrestler known to use crude and exploitative tactics in "the name of justice"

- As Edgeworth's gimmick was being a prosecutor (I haven't drawn him yet), Phoenix models himself to be the opponent, and represent people fairly in their matches, so that he'll be more likely to cross paths with him

- They'd follow perhaps a similar storyline as the actual wrestling arc "The Golden Lovers", which btw got me into wrestling. They are both boys and one of them is from Canada and the other is from Japan and it's surprisingly emotional and I recommend you check it out

- So yeah they're gay and there's some unresolved tension there

- Mia Fey, a rising wrestler in the women's league, takes Phoenix under her wing after during a match against Dahlia Hawthorne, a well known and beloved wrestler, she saves Phoenix from a sudden and violent attack into the stands from his then girlfriend

(The reveal later on would be that there were two Dahlias, the twins, which feels like a good cheesy plotine for a wrestling champion. Phoenix didn't know that he had actually been dating Iris)

- A few years pass

- Phoenix gets his first victory

- I think Mia actually dies, though I'm not completely sold on it yet (because I'm not sure how Maya's gimmick will work yet)

- Behind the scenes, someone had caused some serious physical damage to her, and she had to be rushed to the hospital due to wounds from Redd White, a pro wrestler with a rich CEO gimmick, and the rings he wears on his fingers (a pretty clear hazard)

- Phoenix faces off in a tag team match against Redd White, April May, with the gimmick of being a sexy secretary, and Miles Edgeworth

- He's not alone though: He's "defending" Maya, a fresh face on the wrestling scene, and to even it out, Grossberg, a senior wrestler, is also there (but as obviously he and Redd White are lovers, he's kind of a handicap for that match and doesn't fight anyone at full potential)

- BUT THEY WIN! The crowd is shocked but supportive, they never knew it was possible to take down the Demon Prosecutor

- They go through the other cases

- Phoenix beats Manfred Von Karma, an undefeated champion who had actually killed ("by accident") Edgeworth's real father, Gregory Edgeworth, 15 years ago after they concluded that the match was a draw

- More cases happen, Phoenix gets blackmailed and has to work with Matt Engarde, a shiny popular wrestler, in a tag team match, but manages to expose him (I guess meaning that Shelly De Killer is a paid professional of sorts for underground wrestling deals) and retrieve Maya safely

- Miles leaves wrestling but later comes back (Like in the golden lovers wink wink nudge nudge)

- Franziska is cool and so is Godot, I'll make art/posts for their wrestling attire

The next chapter of his life:

- The Gramarye's are also wrestlers (you best believe it) with a magician gimmick

- Phoenix "represents" Zak Gramarye in a tag team match against rising star Klavier Gavin (He's 17 which makes it weird but idk how to fix that) and Valant Gramarye

- Turns out the wrestling ring had some tampered-with props, and Phoenix used one of them in a finishing move, causing unforseen injury to Valant

- Klavier, having received a "tip off" from his brother (who was going to be in the match until Zak rejected him, and so was Klavier's coach instead) that some of the props were tampered with and that he'd use them

- Phoenix gets exiled from the wrestling scene and Zak disappears, leaving his daughter alone in the audience

- Phoenix spends the next seven years compiling evidence against Kristoph, as well as coaching and supporting Trucy Wright, his adopted daughter, in little league wrestling tournaments she's in

- She wants to do magic-based wrestling just like the Gramaryes

- After a man named Shadi Enigmar is found unconscious at the Borshe Bowl Club, a restaurant in the wrestling stadium, there's some rumors going around and Kristoph, a well respected wrestler, is announced for a one-for-all wrestling match beside his new "understudy", Apollo Justice

- Phoenix comes back as a surprise audience member in that one-for-all wrestling match, and teaming up with Apollo (who accidentally uses a tampered with prop to win the final moments against Kristoph), manages to get in a loss for Kristoph

- Apollo is mad, and backstage he performs a very iconic punch to the face

- However, since Kristoph no longer wants to mentor Apollo, Phoenix is now seen helping him out during matches

- I'll go more into the end when I do Apollo, but using his evidence, he exposes Kristoph's lies in true lawyer gimmick fashion after Apollo wins a match against him

- Kristoph is like "But you can't truly prove it can you? You're not a real lawyer. I can get away with whatever I want. You can't do anything"

- And Phoenix smiles and raises his hands out to the thousands of people watching in the crowd and is like "You're right. But they can."

- So the reputation of Kristoph Gavin is tarnished beyond repair.

I don't have much to say for Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice but he's back babyyyy (minor spoilers)

- He's now a senior wrestler but hey, he's cool

- Edgeworth played a big part in making this happen, so of course when he find out Pheonix is wrestling alongside an orca he is foaming at the mouth

- He still coaches Trucy, and also took on another gig as Athena's coach

- Themis Legal Academy is maybe the same but also now has a super popular wrestling league

- I'm not going to think about Khura'in yet but I'll get to Sahdmadhi

♡ she was a part of the brood! She bumped into Will backstage with Christian and Edge. She called him pretty and started following him around and the rest is history

♡ Caroline knows Raven personally somehow and hates talking about him. She hides behind Will whenever they're backstage so he glares at him

♡ She likes to stay under Wills desk by his feet, curled up playing with her Gameboy. Its nothing dirty! She only gave him head twice under there

♡ Caroline hates people talking down to Will or Tajiri and will hiss at anyone who does. Neither of them have figured out how she does it

♡ she's obsessed with Trish Stratus. She thinks she's bright and pretty and shiny and hates how Vince treats her. Sometimes she drags her into Wills office so she can paint her nails and hang out.

♡ Will knows she's probably not a real vampire. And yet... those canines are unusually long...

♡ If Edge or Christian can't find her they know she's in Wills office, sitting on his lap or under his desk

♡ one of very few people who Kane genuinely seems to like. He'll even talk to her, leaning down to whisper in her ear

♡ Tajiri taught Caroline the green mist, and until Asuka, she was the only female superstar to use it wwe

♡ He proposed to her on an episode of RAW but they had the sense not to do the wedding on the show so it went off without a hitch! He even wore an all black ensemble for the occasion!

♡ Caroline retired from pro wrestling to tour full-time with her band, Dead in Blackpool in 2007. She becomes known as "the black Patricia Morrison" and even gets Will to do some work for their albums, including a duet and a couple spoken interludes

9 People I'd Like to Get to Know Better

Thank you to @yoshihashismattebum and @thewaythroughthewoods for the tag!

Ok, here we go...

Last song: I am going to follow my friends' lead and also give an album! Since it came out last Friday I've been really enjoying Lauran Hibberd's new album, Girlfriend Material. I first heard her when she was supporting The Regrettes on tour, and she's released two fantastic albums since then!

I could spend this whole thing talking about what music I like at the moment if I'm not careful, so I will leave it there!

Favourite colour: Greens and blues are my go-to colours for clothes, decor, etc. For flowers, my favourite colour is probably yellows, or deep pinks, or the colour of whatever flower is looking especially good in the garden right now.

Currently watching: I don't watch a lot of telly tbh, but I watch All Elite Wrestling pretty regularly, and my partner and I are watching Avatar: The Last Airbender together (the original, animated series).

Spicy/savoury/sweet: I'm not a fan of hot-spicy, but between the others it very much depends on my mood... Top tier snacks for me would be paprika crisps, worcestershire sauce French Fries (the crisp), Tunnocks caramel wafers, Wispa (aerated chocolate), and anything involving ginger and dark chocolate.

Relationship status: Very happily in a relationship with my partner for 10 years this spring ❤️

He is wonderful, interesting, kind, clever and funny, and I still can't quite believe I get to share my life with him.

I reworded that sentence so many times because I kept ending it with a joke of some sort, but no! I want to just be genuine for a moment actually! @unpairedbracket: I love you so so much 💕

Obsessions: ok in no particular order:

Gardening: There's just such a joy in watching and helping things grow. Being outside and physically working on something, even just weeding, makes me feel so good. And I love watching new things come up and grow and flower at different points through the year.

Wrestling: @yoshihashismattebum got me into watching pro wrestling during covid, and I would say that it certainly stuck 😝

The first thing I really watched was NJPW, and then I started watching AEW as well, and bits and pieces of other things. We've been going to some Rev Pro shows as well, which have been excellent.

I really like how varied it can be; in the same show you can be super-hyped for an excellently constructed match, crying with laughter at a comedy match, and then crying with emotion at the culmination of a storyline, or just at someone loving what they do.

Wildlife: I get excited about basically all forms of wildlife, and I think I can be a bit of a nightmare to go on a walk with because I'll keep wanting to stop and look at wildflowers / nice moss / birds / cool insects / interesting fungi / etc etc. (sorry guys...)

I'm always excited about seeing bats and foxes and birds of prey, and I also got very excited when I saw a hornet last autumn (so big and yellow and cool!), and also took a photo of a really good stripey spider I found, and showed it to everyone who indicated the slightest bit of interest for a couple of weeks afterwards.

Disco Elysium: I first played this last spring and what a fucking game. I keep thinking about it again and again, and I really want to play through multiple more times...

The worldbuilding is fantastic and fascinating, and there are so many little side details that you can explore. The writing is sincere and thoughtful but also frequently very funny. I played the tribunal with tears running down my face because it makes your choices feel like they matter so much.

I also love that Fayde exists as a resource, and all the discussion of various theories that it supports. It's a game that really invites and rewards that attention to detail.

I'm also reading A Sacred and Terrible Air at the moment (the translated version), which is a book written by the game writers before DE itself, and set in the same world.

Music: ok I lied I am going to talk more about what music I like - and about live music! I love going to gigs and seeing bands live and discovering new bands through the support acts.

The core of my music taste has got to be punk, old and new. I just absolutely love the guitar sound, and the energy, and the thickness of the noise, and being at a gig where the music just saturates the air. (While wearing concert earplugs because I value my hearing, and because going deaf in one ear for a couple of days was pretty scary...) I also love that gigs have such varied demographics, and that we, in our 20s, can go to eg. an Undertones gig and be listening with a load of people who were going to gigs back in the 70s and we're all just enjoying the same music together.

I've been lucky enough to see a lot of my favourite artists play, but bands I would love to see and haven't yet include: Nova Twins, Sløtface, and Soft Play (fka Slaves).

Headcanons on being Billy Loomis's girlfriend and becoming a killer with him?

This was a greatly appreciated challenge, okay? I literally jumped at this one. Having said this, I preface with a strong word of caution.. I took a darker and more realistic approach. I hope that's alright. I thank you for the ask because this... it helped me step outside of my lil comfort zone of smut, angst and romance only and I've been trying to work up the nerve for some time now.

Fun fact... as I wrote the last bit of this headcanon list out, Runnin Up That Hill came on Spotify and I feel like it fit with reader's mindset all things considered.

✯ It happened by accident. You didn’t set out to kill the person you had to kill and you damn sure didn’t plan to have Billy Loomis somehow stumble upon the entire thing as it unfolded, either… You had your back against a wall literally. The only way out of the situation was outcrazy the other person. The last person you expected to help you was Billy Loomis. But he did. And the help you got in ridding yourself of a long running problem in your life came with the small price of having Billy bound to you. Billy Loomis holding something over your head other than the crush he knew you had on him and taunted you with the very night he helped you burn the body after sneaking into the crematorium in town. But he promised that the person he’d helped you get rid of wouldn’t ever hurt you again and he meant it, sealing it with a kiss and a blood pact. His word was his bond.

✯ You thought you’d feel remorse. You did at first, but then the euphoria took over. The sheer relief at having finally handled a long running problem in your life awakened something dark inside you. The way it felt to know someone absolutely fucking vile took their last breath at your hand. A horrible person was gone and couldn’t hurt anybody anymore because of you. Billy killed for the hell of it. For you, it’s more of a ridding society of it’s disgusting blights. You tend to go after the people who hurt others, who do unspeakable things and yet somehow continue to dodge proper punishment. And this makes Billy so goddamn hot. There’s just something about your righteous indignation and the way you handle it that makes him fall and he falls hard.

✯ It doesn’t take long for you to get antsy. There’s so much more to be done. The desire to do something, to right abhorrent wrongs.. And Billy just wants another kill and he’ll take it any way he can get it. You’re his girl now and you have been for a while by this point so.., if you want something, he’ll move mountains to give it to you. If this means the waters run red with somebody’s blood or walls are painted with it, so be it. The two of you think you’re in the clear and the search begins for another target, somebody, anybody to sate your combined bloodlust but just as you’re closing in on one, law enforcement closes in on him. They believe you’re just a hostage, collateral damage from the murder of the person you actually murdered. Not Billy, you.

✯ You discuss it and you agree that somewhere south of the border. Or somewhere far outside of the US with very lengthy extradition laws and a lot of red tape is your best bet and on your way to escape, a cross country killing spree begins. It’s tricky at first because you have to change your MO completely and this is when Billy, a heat of the moment, stone cold crazy blitz killer truly shines. And you’re there, by his side, helping him dispose of the aftermath every step of the way.

✯ The end is bloody. Violent. And you’re ripped apart from him with such brutal finality. Watching him die in front of your eyes shatters you. You pick up the gun he dropped and you unload it. Round after round and your mind just goes black. When you come around a little later, you find yourself in a cell. With a straight jacket your only company. But you know there’s one surefire way to reunite so maybe that’s why when the public defender shows up to appeal to you to take an insanity plea on the grounds of Stockholm Syndrome, you adamantly refuse. You go even further and you do the one thing you can do for the man you loved in clearing his name of at least one wrong he’d been accused of. You give a confession, in full. The insanity plea you were offered disappears and now it’s down to the choice between life in prison or the death sentence. And maybe, to an extent, they’re right, you are insane. But as soon as you pick the death sentence and seal your own fate, you can hear him. “Atta girl. Come home to daddy, sweetheart.” and you smile the entire long walk down to the execution chamber. You take your last breath knowing that Billy’s waiting for you. Probably impatient, probably bitching because it took too long and the plan was never for the truth to come out in the first place, but… He’s waiting. And soon you’ll be reunited.
