stealing little things from Whumper to gain a false sense of control over things

Of course, it can't be things that would be noticed. A spare button that was dropped and left on the floor. A ripped piece of cloth abandoned on a coffee table. Safety pins forgotten out on a desk.

Maybe Whumper finds it, takes it away from Whumpee. They can't let Whumpee get a big head and think it's okay to take what isn't theirs.

Or maybe Whumper just laughs at how pathetic Whumpee's grasp for control has become. "Keep your collection, Whumpee. See what good those things do for you--we all know they're useless."

How is that going to affect Whumpee once they're out of the situation? Caretaker gives them everything they might need, and they still steal, out of habit and the need for control. Caretaker can keep offering to get them more of whatever they're stealing, but the lack of it isn't really the problem.

I am Going through it rn. which means I am in fact writing a LOT of whump, but very little of it is coherent. and also I hate typing so most is handwritten and it's a pain to type it out after I write it. however! I did write a thing! so yeah.

All of these are pretty much Whumpee being scared of Caretaker without having reason to be.

Whumpee would never take popcorn from the same bowl as Caretaker. They know better than that. But Caretaker keeps saying they can't finish it on their own and they don't mind sharing, so maybe just this once...

Whumpee staying on the opposite side of the couch from Caretaker. If they start to pay attention to the movie, they'll get distracted and let their guard down-and they don't want to know what will happen if that happens.

I feel like I've complained about Tim's email situation in Gotham Knights before (edit: I have), but the truth of it is just so funny.

He's signed up for so many podcasts, video game streamers, and random news alerts; it's just a constant barrage of data going straight into his constantly whirring brain. Hell, he even floats the idea of the Batfamily having their own podcast as a way to correct misinformation about them (which Jason shoots down instantly), and it's made me realize something.

Timothy Drake would be a YouTuber.

In this universe specifically, Timothy Jackson Drake, the heir to Drake Industries and the foster son of the late Bruce Wayne would be a YouTuber.

Think about it. It'd be the perfect cover. Who would ever suspect that some 16-year-old nepo baby with a YouTube channel could ever be Red Robin? You'd have to be mad. I mean, look at him.

Red Robin just dropped out of literal thin air and garotted someone four times his size, and you expect anyone to believe that's the same kid who does 24-hour Minecraft charity streams and occasionally drops 6-hour video essays (his last one was on Lex Luthor's illegal bit mining operation on the moon)?

I didn’t double up on authors so that I could do this for as many people as possible. Anywhere that's rocky? There aren't going to be easy places to get to shore unless you're willing to get urchined.

Not to mention all the fun things that can happen to your whumpee as a result of the urchin's sting!! There are poisonous urchins! Plus I hear salt water stings in cuts. Also, where there's rocks and urchins, there's a hell of a lot of other gross things to help that get infected.

I come from a long line of people that have stepped on sea urchins and these are far from the only things that can make an urchin sting worse
