one of the only reasons that anyone at school knows who he is aside from his good looks is because of his well-liked and popular best friend. however, if not for the aforementioned best friend, he'd be feared by the few who'd know him. because of his best friend's reputation making him well-known as well, he's now feared by nearly everyone. why? because he never talks to anyone, choosing to instead glare at them, (he's either scared of talking to people or just tired) is constantly mean or overly straightforward, (only to his friends) and has the coldest glares anyone has ever seen. (he spaces out a lot and people think hes looking at them.) he's always angry about something, (he has an rbf) and a lot of people say that if you dont bother him, he won't bother you, but he hates so many people for so many random reasons, that there's no real way to find out if you're one of the hated. (he probably doesn't even know the name of whoever he "hates.") everyone knows that they should stay clear of him unless they want a beating, verbal or maybe physical. a couple of rumors have circulated that he once beat up someone in a fit of rage. (his best friend was pissing him off) he doesn't talk to many people, (he's just antisocial) and he often just stands around on his phone or just stands there, doing nothing but glaring at everyone who walks by. (he forgot his phone and is just spacing out) everyone is scared of him, and everyone makes sure not to get on his bad side. (what bad side?) so they never ever would've guessed that here he is, coming home after a long day and softly burying his head into his lover's chest, mumbling an "i love you" as they play with his pretty locks, lulling him to sleep. they never would've envisioned his said lover chuckling to themselves and wondering how anyone could ever think that this absolute sweetheart (sometimes sweetheart) of a man could ever find himself hating anyone. (except for the best friend. man, they get on his nerves sometimes.)

onto your question-- edrahil!! he's definitely one of the blorbos that doesn't get enough attention 😤 i would be lying if i said that im not guilty of this too, since i think ive only ever read... one? fic with him in it waa.... but as always with the professor's work, great fun comes from the freedom with which one can interpret the minor characters! here's one of the first doodles i did of him when i got your ask:

the bread and butter of my male characters always ends up being slender bishonen-types, but one of my goals going forth is to try and adapt myself to not falling to same face syndrome in the future, so i thought itd be fun to start by making edrahil swoler than usual on a whim 🙈 based on his one (1) line the book, he strikes me as a steadfast i will follow my liege to my death type of fellow.... and then it snowballed from there.... and that's how my take on edrahil eventually evolved from stoic-man-who-is-also-a-peerless-warrior into a no-thoughts-head-empty-his-majesty-only bodyguard

i like to think he's much nicer than he lets on and nowhere near as serious as his RBF may suggest! much like the rest of finrod's personal guard (aka his fanclub), their lord's wellbeing and public image come first above anything else. perhaps their strong loyalty should be concerning, but it's finrod i-befriend-Men-and-swear-eternal-oaths-of-friendship felagund we're talking about.... so maybe theyve got their own reasons too lmao

Next year comes and Sirius introduces his brother to the marauders and Regulus overlooks the opportunity to make fun of the fact they named their damn friend group because Remus’ rbf is doing too much to him. The crush lingers way too long and when he catches wind that Remus has distanced himself from the other marauders, well he just can’t help himself.

And you’re a 100% right, Regulus would never admit his long term feelings. BUT imagine the deep feelings of undeniable love and interest in Remus beyond petty revenge that he says no word of. I’m not sure what my sexuality is, but I prefer men.

So I think -- especially being able to look back and knowing what I know in 2023, DTS has been so vital in shaping media storylines and how this new generation of fans see the drivers.

I do wonder if the impact has lessened as the seasons have gone on but I think the first season of DTS has been so so important like I don't think the impact can be understated.

Like I wonder if DTS had chosen a different framing for Charles in this episode -- would the way fans see him be different? Obviously, there is no way to know but that episode feels very crucial to me.

i just think villains and morally grey characters just are much more fun to explore; would i want hazbin hotel’s alastor to be real or would i like him if i met him? no because he is/was a serial killer, but in fiction? fascinating, intriguing, fun to explore; fiction just gives us the means to explore these morally not so cool actions and mindsets without most of the consequences, and i love that (also it really is sexy if a bad guy drops everything for their love; who wouldn’t want to be their partner’s priority; also also, villains with their own set of moral code, like ‘sure i’ll burn down a city but hit a woman? i would never’)

Pumpkin

-Pumpkin is in his early 20s but its hard to tell because hes technically "undead"

-he is my OC in the Gorillaz universe, but i intend on taking him much further and using him for my own art/music adventures (i write music lol)

-he/him pronouns

-hes like actually clinically insane, im not joking this dude is mental but like not in the "imma kill you" way in the "im gonna steal shopping carts, attach motors, and race them with 2D" way

-technically 2D is the one that accidentally woke him from the dead (he pissed on his grave without knowing, noticed it was a grave, then dumped beer on it as an "apology"??? but like it woke Pumpkin up and he just kinda claimed 2D as his friend)

-He has a little sister (not biological just kinda claimed her) named Stella, they work on music together, she sings and he plays bass

-his real head is inside of the pumpkin, when he was buried (in like early 1920s...) his head was sticking out of the ground and a pumpkin eventually just grew around it

-hes pretty much a zombie (dont tell 2D or else itll be endless questions)

-he lurked around Kong studios for a bit, he eventually stole clothes from 2D once he realised his close were rotten

-thats when 2D actually met him, 2D caught pumpkin in the act of climbing out of his window and instead of being angry just offered him a beer

Ideas for type specialist in relation to the Johto Kanto league split

Grass- I think I want to go for a autumn garden nymph vibe. I remember the design I used the last time: bronze skin, auburn hair and green eyes. I think I want to add a little bit of a stuble( think shaggy a bit). I can see xem wearing a flowy blouse and have a belt filled with different plants. Maybe xe have leggings that don't cover the foot fully, of that makes sense. Xyr hair is coily- braided at the front and ends with a afro puff of sorts. I like to believe that xe have flowers on xyr hair,maybe the back of the puff is lighter in the middle, taking the form of a flower. I know this is very detailed, but I like this idea a lot, even for the first gym XD

Ice: I already went over the ice type trainer before: his whole thing is that people kinda thinks he's a ghost. He's pale with white hair and pale blue eyes and for some reason wears loose clothing even though he's an ice type trainer. He has a hard rbf and, like, you know how in some media, the eyelashes are pretty detailed? Particularly when it comes to white or blonde hair characters? That. He has that. ( Tempted to name him Jack ngl)

Bonus Ice: I seen somewhere that Silver becomes the new gym leader of Mahogany Town and I find that interesting. Not a canon thing, just wanted to point that out.

Pyschic: Old Wizard dude. Nuff said.

Electric: Honestly having a hard time coming up with a design that doesn't follow the other electric type trainers. Specifically Elesa. I think I can see her as a DJ or streamer of sorts. I think the color palette is tripping me up :/

Fighting: We need more old men that can kick ass, so Chuck stays, but if I change my mind on that( I know my brain lmao), I can see Aiko taking his place.

Fire: Like Chuck, I can still see Blaine's fire burning to hold the gym. But if it isn't,I am so shocked that there's no official game trainer that does the blue flame aesthetic. Idk, I feel like it was a missed opportunity. Yeah, there's very few pokemon that actually have blue flames. But still. It would be so cool.

Normal: Remember that Kalos oc that I had studying normal types? Maybe they are from Kanto and somehow become an Elite 4 member. If not then:

Fairy: We also haven't gotten a Fairy E4 member. Though in all fairness, it's only been 3 generations, so they're still pretty new. Still. An idea I have to us just have an old biker dude who is also the old wizard dude's husband/ long term boyfriend.
