I think sometimes maya (माया) can happen because we're so caught up in what the outcome is going to be - so we chase after a complete illusion of what could be and completely miss what will be.

I think, if we focus too much on the constructs or our fantasies based on those constructs, we become stagnant and stuck.

BATIM is officially 6 years old..oh jeez. A little hard to believe it's been this long. Six long years since the little devil that invaded my life was created. Where did the time go? Still,it's cool to see how far it's come. The journey so far has definitely been a rollercoaster of emotions,with ups and downs,but even so,I'm still glad I discovered this little guy. He definitely brought me a lot of good moments in recent times.

I didn't have anything really new or done specifically with the anniversary in mind,but I had this drawing I was trying to finish a while ago that I thought would be nice to post on the day. As we can see,this successively failed.I had the idea for this drawing since 2021, and I tried to execute it at the time, but I never made it past the sketches. Then last year I tried to redo it from scratch and since then I've been trying to finish it and post it on specific dates and failing successively.

But eventually, I manage to find the strength to finally end this piece altogether and put it behind me. The main drawings had been finished for a while,it was just a matter of doing...well,whatever the final result became. I confess that I didn't really know how to do the "broken mirror" idea at the beginning. And that wasn't even the original idea that I have in mind back in 2021.

I'll admit the first time I stopped and looked at the glass cracks I was unsure if I was liking how it was turning out. But it's better than nothing. And at the moment I'm just thinking "Bro, stop. You've done everything you could do in this drawing. It's over. Just let it go". So I'm going to do it.

Oh and Joey is here too,I forgot to mention that. Technically it was also his birthday too. So happy day of birth,pencil man. He's definitely going through something in this drawing. This was mainly made with one of my AUs in mind and the events that happen in it,but I think if you look at it as something more “canon related” (close to canon?),it might work well too. I think at least.

Better finish this desc before it gets too long. As a bonus,here are the two main drawings I did for this piece,unedited (because I'm not going to show the edited versions,I assume they're kinda ugly separately) :

I don't know what am I going to do when the table read video for ST5 is released.

With movies and tv shows, I HATE seeing behind the scenes pictures, or videos while it's being made because it breaks the "magic", so to speak.

I love seeing that stuff after I have watched the movie or tv show.

You guys don't know how much I enjoyed ST4 when it premiered: I had no idea what was going to happen, except for the things we saw on the first trailer (I hate watching second trailers). I had so much fun watching Vol 1 on May 27th of last year.

I wasn't part of Byler Tumblr either, so... Less expectations.

Lots of trailers nowadays show so much of the story and it irks me. As of late, I'm just watching teasers cause I like to be surprised. Or I don't watch the trailer at all.

Should I close the Tumblr App on my phone and stop visiting the Byler tag for a few months or should I stay and see all the craziness that will happen?

I actually hated seeing the spoiler video of Mike and Will on the sofa before Vol 2 premiered, lol. I was like "Ugh, no!" but the damage was done after it showed up on my Dashboard :(

For a little peek behind the curtain, in organizing every ability and special attack in the KH games onto a spreadsheet, after going through uX, DR, KH1, KH2, and COM/Re:COM, I've organized a little more than 700 abilities in total. I still have Days, BBS, 3D, and Coded/Re:Coded to get through. I expect I'll have about 1,200 total abilities across all the games when I'm finished!

#idk if people are interested in this but its just neat to me to have numbers! #the bulk of that was actually in union cross i think it had like. ~400 special attacks in total #and some of these are repeats and i still need to go back and make separate spreadsheets so i can organize em by char for when needed #most of these will Not make it into the game and i have no illusions of finishing the charts before i release v.2 lmao #but i'll definitely be making a nice Ability Expansion later on!

I swear to god “Gelatinous” is fucking possessed. Some days it sounds completely normal, and then all of a sudden it starts sounding detuned — like the pitch is warping down and glitching (in ways it isn’t supposed to) — right in the middle of listening to it and it gets creepier and creepier with each subsequent listen. But if I take a long pause from the song before listening to it again, it goes back to normal. It never distorts when I’m waiting for it to distort; it only does it when I’m not prepared for it.

It could be a sensory processing thing (I have some auditory stuff ~going on~ but uh… I’ve never experienced anything quite like this before.) If I listen to it enough I begin to feel as if I’m getting high and literally turning gelatinous myself. What the fuck.

I've seen this theory once, where it said that Kafka wrote the book, which was pretty interesting to think about, since BSD revolves around the book, and asagiri uses Kafka as his pen name. But honestly, yeah. I don't think he'll add Kafka, which is kind of disappointing because I see so much potential for his ability. I think the most common idea would be to use The Metamorphosis, but honestly, I think The Castle would be really interesting to explore. Like I think it could be basically an ability that has a really heavy cost if used.

Alternatively, if we look at The Trial, we could have an ability (I think at least) similar to Fyodor's but also very different, since it wouldn't be a murderous ability.

But honestly, the potential for some of the European authors is just. I hope at least one of them is part of the Order of the Clock tower because. I need it. Some of these books have unmatched potential.
