hello its me again!
do you have a passion for isekai? Do you have a powerful love hate relationship with isekai? Do you wish you had taken the chicken out of the freezer when your mom told you to an hour ago? THEN DO I HAVE A BOOK FOR YOU (except that last one, you're on your own)"
"For five years, Aderyn has waited to get the Call—the event when the system controlling her world grants her a class and appropriate skills to become an adventurer. When the system makes her a Warmaster, Aderyn eagerly sets out on her first journey.
The problem? Her class is useless.
No one believes a Warmaster is anything but a joke. They aren’t strong fighters, they have no magic, and they don’t have powerful skills. But Aderyn hasn’t waited all these years to give up now. With the help of a young man from another world, she’s going to prove this Warmaster can do anything."
Whats cool about this book is that its told from the perspective of someone already IN the fantastical world the regular joe gets isekai'd into. It's set in an RPG world where everyone has classes and ranks and theres even a chosen one! theres a different dungeon the party goes through in every book and they are legit the best part of the story.
the audiobook just got released on spotify and i snagged myself some free codes so first 20 commenters get a free audiobook to listen on Spotify! (you have to already have a spotify account)
its also on amazon

Help us Fund Bridgetown!
Bridgetown is a pastoral, liminal RPG setting of a never-ending, ever-crumbling bridge. It's built for Troika (rules freely available); however, the content is easily adapted to your favorite old-school system.
This Kickstarter will fund a print run of the hardcover book, folded A3 poster maps, hand-crafted dice, and a luxurious balm (no seriously)!
Featuring flavorful backgrounds, a new spellcasting system, dozens of stew recipes, and a way to connect your Troika worlds together, we’re confident Bridgetown can find a home at almost any gaming table.

The world was saved. Life could return to normal. For everyone else, that is.
Whumpee wasn't quite prepared for life after the grand adventure. Said journey had been over for some weeks now, and whumpee was feeling a zest for life never before felt. The journey and newfound friends gave their life meaning, until it all fell apart as all good things in their life do.
One by one, the teammates they befriended and connected with for the first time in their miserable life were saying farewell, and moving on to bigger ventures.
The Leader was the first to depart, almost immediately after the campaign. Leader had a whimsical, charming way about them despite their brutish, intimidating size and bloodied axe. They had to go home to their folks who missed them. It hurt, but Whumpee understood. Whumpee would cherish their family too, if they had one...
The Bard a week later finished selling the majority of their assets and felt confident enough to take to the road with their music. Cocky, and with a venomous tongue, they were never one to stay in one place for too long before becoming restless. The journey was the only thing tying them down with Whumpees team. Whumpee wasn't nearly important enough to ask them to stay, let alone travel with them. They understood their worth and let Bard go with a sad wave.
Next came the Cleric, who saved Whumpees life too many times, and cared for them while they were healing. Cleric, who cradled their body and guarded them from the onslaught of monsters. The Cleric, who has seen whumpees scars and bruises, brushing them with a gentle finger, and had the most intimate understanding of them...
They set off with their clergymen and funding from their church to assist and heal those wounded in the past conflict. A noble cause, how could Whumpee in good conscience object to that? Whumpee stomped on the question brewing in their heart, and drowned the remaining emotions away in liquor. Who would ever love a Warlock as weak as them? Who had burdened the team so many times with their physical vulnerabilities?
Days turned to weeks, and weeks to months, and whumpee had degenerated. Tomes scattered on the floor of their cottage, staffs strewn about and an overabundance of liquor bottles. Whumpees frame was frail, hair frayed and unkempt, and eyes sunken. They had tried to keep their shit together, to reach out to new folks but they just couldn't make or maintain that connection. It's not like anyone remembered them anyways, the other three had always gotten the most attention and acclaim.
The mental glass shattered, and whumpee couldnt take it anymore. With a blood alcohol considered dangerous and borderline lethal, they stagger into a giant spider den, too cowardly to do the deed themself.
As expected, with the intoxication, low defense, and no staff, the ravenous spiders slash and bite whumpee relentlessly. Their clothes ripped and blood splattered against the cave walls. Primal instincts kick in, and whumpee thrashes under the beasts, screaming wildly. Venomous poison from the spiders sets in, and whumpees movements slow as their limbs become lead weights, unable to resist the bites. Their vision tunnels, screams turning into moans.
Will anyone find them?

The sky is white and cold over an endless expanse of concrete, sheer and vast. Brutalist forms jut at strange angles into the ever-cloudless sky.
The artificial, monochrome wasteland stretches to the horizon. It stretches beyond it. There is nothing else in all the world - nothing natural, nothing living.
There is only the City.
The City is a world designed as a supplement for We Deal in Lead, but system-agnostic enough to be used in any game involving crossing between worlds.
It is the first of my There are Other Worlds Than These series, which will eventually be a collection of worlds with ties to each other.
It's also the first project like this that I've managed to bring all the way to completion so I'm at least happy about that.

EPHIRUS: An "Amnesia" RPG
"Amnesia" RPG Concept: The GM/DM creates the characters based on their players likes and dislikes. The players know nothing about their characters because the characters themselves don't remember anything. As the game progress the players and characters learn about their past and all before the memory loss.
How I'm using the concept in my game: All the player characters died and were brought back to life by an emo necromancer and a vampire hemomancer. All the characters death are related somehow. Now they have to find out who they were, who they ARE and (in theory) help the necromancer find his long lost sister. How it all connect? Well, they will find out.... Maybe ;)
The World: Ephirus is a fantasy world with many countries and continents. The main story starts in the spiritual realm (as everyone is resurrected), but progress in the mortal realm. The map represent that realm. The named/colored countries are the ones my players come from.

My brother and I came up with a new campaign setting bc the game he's been running for the last three years ended last week and what we settled on is a world where rifts have opened up between the ordinary mortal plane and all the elemental planes and fucked up elemental beasties are coming through, so people need to actually go in and close the rifts.
problem #1 is that every adventurer who's tried to go through a rift has been cut in half at the waist because though the rift is about 15 ft high on the mortal side, it's four ft on the other. problem #2 is that it is next to impossible to close a rift from just one side, so someone has to stay behind in each plane (he's got seven players so this is very much a war of attrition) . so what we're left with is a party of characters who are all under 3'8" and who must be willing to die for the cause
they had their first session this week and his players took to this world with earnest and all of them have prepared fun and interesting halfling/gnome/etc characters. all except one. who made an orc who is 6 years old. my brother has a policy of allowing his players to follow the letter of the rule, not the spirit, and he didn't mention a minimum age requirement. so now the rest of the party is also babysitting this bloodthirsty baby on top of everything else

Inadvisable tabletop RPG premise #137: Fantasy setting where wizard towers have approximately the same role and cultural significance as Cold War nuclear missile silos. It’s impossible to really hide the fact that you’re casting a high-level spell, and extremely difficult to defend against one, so all of the world’s greatest wizards are locked in a mutually assured destruction scenario; the moment any one of them tries to perform a world-shaping act of magic, all of the other great wizards will smell it and immediately respond by casting Fuck That Guy In Particular.
The setting otherwise superficially resembles a perfectly standard Generic Fantasy Setting, though any close examination will rapidly reveal how deeply its culture is informed by the looming knowledge that the world is perpetually one wizardly temper tantrum away from total annihilation, and the extent to which the conspicuous Generic Fantasy atmosphere is a deliberately constructed facade of business-as-usual over a howling void of nihilistic uncertainty.
