The Grandmaster: Alright. Is there an A-stro here? A-stro?
Astro: Um... do you mean “Astro?”
Grandmaster: OK, so that’s how it’s gonna be. Y’all wanna play? Well I’ve got my eye on you, A-stro. Mar-I-uh. Where is Mar-I-uh at? There’s no Mar-I-uh today?
Maria: raises her hand
Grandmaster: Yes, ma’am?
Maria: My name’s Maria.
Grandmaster, annoyed: Are you out of your god damned mind? “MaREEaaaa” what? Do you wanna go to war, Mar-I-uh? ‘Cause we could go to war. (”...no”) I’m for real. I’m for real! So you better check yourself! Vis-ass. Is there a Vis-ass? ... if one of y’all, says some silly ass name. This whole group is gonna feel. My. Wrath. Now - Vis-ass?
Visas, raising her hand: You mean Visas?
The Grandmaster: Sonuva-BITCH! (punches a tree). You say your name right, right now. (”Visas”) Say it right. (”Visas”) Correctly. (”Visas”) Right. (”Visas”) Right. (”... Vis-ass”) That’s better, thank you. Now... Bree-easy. Where are you? Where is Bree-easy right now? No Bree-easy, huh? ... Well, you better be sick, dead, or mute, Bree-easy!
Breeze, stretching: Here! Oh, man...
The Grandmaster: Why didn’t you answer me the first time I said, it, huh?
Breeze: Huh?
The Grandmaster: I’m just- you know I’m just askin’, I said it like four times. So why didn’t you say it the first time I said, “Bree-easy?”
Breeze: ... because it’s pronounced Breeze.
The Grandmaster, throwing her head back. SON OF A- BITCH! Ya done messed up, Bree-easy! Take your ass down to Headmistress Ros-eda’s office right now!
Breeze: ... who?
The Grandmaster: Ros-eda!
Breeze: ... Headmistress Rosetta?
The Grandmaster: GET OUT OF MY GOD DAMN CLASSROOM BEFORE I BREAK MY FOOT OFF IN YOUR ASS! (Breeze leaves) Insubordinate, and childish. (Looks around the group) ... Sa-rass-im?
Sarasim, raising her hand: Pre-zent
The Grandmaster: THANK YOU!

{{ Hello! I saw on a reblogged ask that you'd figured out a timeline between the TTG issues and the TT'03 cartoon? Might I ask if you've ever shared how that timeline goes? Could you point me to it? And if not, I'm still super curious about your thoughts on how that goes! 8O
RIGHT! So.
What I did to figure out the rough timeline was use the TTG! issues that are explicitly set on certain holidays (Valentine's Day, Christmas, Halloween) as reference points for time passage.
We have three Valentine's Days issues (#4, #27, #39), two Christmas issues (#25, #37), one Halloween issue (#13).  So right off the bat we have a rough period of about three/four years for the duration of the show and the TTG! issues that explicitly happen afterwards. From there it was a matter of figuring out where certain episodes and issues fell based on context clues--”Revolution“ obviously happens 4th of July and seems to be Starfire’s first, “Date With Destiny“ is most likely April or May since it takes place at Prom and most high schools do prom at the end of the school year, TTG! #27 mentions the True Master so it must be set after “The Quest”, etc. etc. I did wind up having to move a couple of the TTG! issues around since they didn’t fit but only three, #13 (the Halloween issue), #40A (two-story issue, second story recounts from a time when Jinx was still with the HIVE) and #45 (since Cyborg and Sarasim get back together in that issue but were shown already back together in TTG! #39).
Everything else can be presumed to proceed in chronological fashion.
I’ve included my little timeline graphic, plotted with the episodes/issues that have “hard” dates, as in we know exactly when they happen.
Tumblr media
And here’s my rough approximation of a couple key significant episodes/issues and the overall seasons, as well as those few shuffled exceptions I mentioned.
Tumblr media
Red: Season 1
Yellow: Season 2
Blue: Season 3
Purple: Season 4
Green: Season 5
Orange: “Extra” season, TTG! issues that continue past Season 5
---
Notes:
“Birthmark” (S4E3) reeks of Dangerous Sixteenth Birthday and also appears to be Raven’s first celebrated with the Titans.  I like to headcanon her birthday in October (because spoopy season), October 13th to be exact, because it allows the most time between Year Zero and Year Two for four whole seasons of the show.  By necessity this means that Season 2 and Season 3 of Teen Titans happen mostly over the summer of Year One.
Season 3 of Teen Titans being in summer of Year One also fits with “Revolution” being Starfire’s first 4th of July with the Ttians.
As previously mentioned, “Date With Destiny” (S2E6) takes place in prom season, so Season 2 taking up the early part of summer of Year One also fits.
"Date With Destiny” marks the first appearance of the R-cycle, which means Robin is 16 by then, as that’s the earliest one can have a legal motorcycle license.  (Though Robin has a motorcycle in TTG! #4 it’s an early design, possibly what he was learning on while waiting to take his official test.  It would make sense to celebrate getting his license with building a new custom cycle.)
Robin’s birthday (according to DC Comics’s Robin Annual #4) is “the first day of spring”.  So either March 20 or March 21.  Leaving room for the earlier episodes of Season 2, this means that Robin was 15 when Slade kidnapped him in the “Apprentice” finale (S1E12).  What a bastard.
With Season 1 of Teen Titans ending in March, I straddled the beginning of Season 1 back into Year Zero, with “Sisters” (S1E2) happening on or adjacent to New Year’s because of the fireworks.
“Go!” (S5E10) would have therefore happened sometime between October (Raven’s birthday) and December (start of Season 1), to allow time for the Tower to be built.  I stuck it nebulously in early November but I’m flexible on this date.
“Nevermore” (S1E6) would be sometime mid January to late February.  I put it earlier to allow time for the other episodes of Season 1.  For poetic sake I put “The End” finale (S4E11) exactly one year later.
(Also because Cyborg and Sarah’s relationship is strained from lack of contact in the Valentine’s Day TTG! #27 and it would make the most narrative sense for that issue to take place right after the whole craziness of Season 4.)
“Things Change” (S5E13) has Terra in school, enough time having passed that she’s already taking a test, so I put it at the end of August.  Season 5 takes the longest amount of narrative time, consequently, most of Year Two.  It could theoretically be longer, pushing “Things Change”, Beast Boy’s birthday in TTG! #28, Cyborg and Sarah’s reconciliation in TTG! #45, and the first clear post-Brotherhood unfreezing issue TTG! #33 all back into October/November, but I thought I’d leave some breathing room between TTG! #33 and the Christmas issue TTG! #37.
Valentine’s Day issue #39 takes place literally right on the heels of Trouble In Tokyo.  Literally, Larry is so happy about Robin and Starfire getting together that he decides to steal cupid’s arrows and make other Titans fall in love too.  So Trouble in Tokyo is mid February of Year Three.
TTG! #50 is called “Graduation Day” so for poetics sake I stuck it late May, when most school years end.  TTG! #51 is also therefore late May since it has Terra still in school.  TTG! #55, the end of the comic run, has big summer vibes (a barbecue party at Dayton Manor is twice mentioned) so could be anywhere in June/July.
Various Titans we met in “Winner Take All” (Speedy, Wildebeest, Hot Spot) make appearances starting from TTG! #14.  Speedy was the first, and his appearance is very much per-assignment to Titans East.  So I placed TTG! #14 at the beginning of when Season 3 would start.
I just kind of stuck TTG! #40A in there because it’s after “Mother Mae-Eye” (See-More and Private Hive are on the HIVE Five) and feels like a breather moment between Season 4 and Season 5.
(Whew!)
And there you have it, my rough approximation of the Teen Titans timeline.

Personally I needa work on that Sarasim fic 💀 got any advice for writing tentacle related stuff while I’m on the topic?
Oooooh, so that's where that fic is going huh? Now I'm even more interested lol. Truth be told the first two Blobby chapters are the only tentacle related things I've ever written, so I'm hardly an expert on it.
I guess one of the advantages is that you can have all sorts of different angles and positions without having to think too deeply on the proportions of the characters (or at least one of them). Because with tentacles it's just no holds bars!

Meet The Second Division (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Aspen Fly (19)- The daughter of Buff Frog's best friend and ally Boo Fly, one of several field agents in the Second Division and a longtime friend of Captain Oswald Bulgolyubov. A sweet and intelligent young lady, she exhibits all of the qualities needed to be a proper field agent. She also acts as the peacemaker of the Second Division. She is also among the division's most intelligent members due to her studious nature and her drive to learn more about the world around her, earning her the title of The Curious in the process. With both the ability to fly and to change from a humanoid form to an equine form and back again, as well as her kelpie magic, she's considered a valuable member of the division.
Tumblr media
Jet Breezemaker (18)- An air nymph born and raised on the surface. He is a field agent of the Second Division, as well as one of the messengers for the Butterfly Queendom. A former thief and trickster from Windy Hollow who was taken under the wing of Katrina Bulgolyubov alongside her son Oswald & fellow trainee Aspen. He has since used all he learned from his years on the streets to help benefit the guard and its allies. He is considered by many to be the among the fastest knights the guard has to offer (Fast enough to even rival that of the Fourth Division's Lenora, who is considered the fastest in the guard.) With his clever and cunning personality, quick wits, and his magical ability Sonic Boom, he has earned himself the title of The Speeding Bullet among his fellow knights.
Tumblr media
Rubella Lucitor (37)-Daughter of Exasperella Lucitor & younger cousin of King Thomas Lucitor. She is a senior knight in the second division. And is one of the last remaining knights of Higgs & Sarasim's generation. As the overseer of Mewman & Demon relations, her job is to make sure the relationship between Mewni & and the Underworld continues to go smoothly. She is a woman who only expects the best from both herself and her guards and often tends to go by the "Tough Love" approach when dealing with younger members of the guard. Due to her being among the older members of the guard, She is considered one of the wisest of the division, as well as acting as a strict parent/teacher figure to younger members of the guard. She is rather skeptical about Oswald and his potential. But is willing to give the young captain a chance and often gives him advice whenever she can (In her own way of course.). She is also infamous for her powerful disease magic, which has earned her the title of The Living Plague.
Tumblr media
Ivan Ironwood (22)- A young man from the Ironwood noble house in the Spiderbite Kingdom and one of the senior knights in the Queensguard. As the Second Division's information analyst, he has exceptional critical thinking skills and a fine eye for analysis. Thus earning the title of The Skeptic in the process. He was hoping to become captain of the Second Division before his cousin got picked for the position (Which he's still rather bitter about.). Is the most critical of Oswald and his choices and isn't above openly criticizing him.
Tumblr media
Brooke Lapis (27)- The daughter of Duke Clifford & Duchess Darya of The Western Oceans and another one of the senior knights in the guard. She serves the Second Division as an ambassador of the Waterfolk Kingdom as well as a Navigator. Born to an elite spy family, she is exceptionally skilled in the art of Stealth, Diplomacy, and Espionage. Acts as the big sister of the Second Division as well as one of the more compassionate members of the group. In addition to her skills in diplomacy and espionage, she also has extensive knowledge of Mewni's Oceans and has spent her whole life exploring its waters. Learning about the various cultures and traditions in the process. She has earned the title of The Maiden of the Western Oceans.
Tumblr media
Meelo Bubblegum (17)- One of the 12 ambassadors of Sweetopia who was selected to join the Queensguard. A bright-eyed and happy-go-lucky young man who is the most optimistic member of the division. He can be childish and a little ditzy. But he also excels in stealth with his elastic abilities and knows when to pull himself together to stay on task. He acts as the heart of the group and will go out of his way to cheer someone up when they're feeling down. He received the title The Joyful, due to his positive attitude. He's also known to be one of the best pastry chefs Sweetopia has to offer.
Tumblr media
Sugarina Stix (18)- Another one of the 12 ambassadors of Sweetopia selected to join the Queensguard. She comes from a long line of elite dancers that have entertained the masses for generations. And she was no exception to this rule. Her elegant dance moves and graceful performances have earned her the title The Court's Dancer due to capturing the hearts of various members of Sweetopia's royal court. Especially the Dolce family. Despite being an expert dancer, she's still new to the world of espionage (As well as knighthood in general.) and thus doesn't have as much experience or knowledge in it compared to her peers. Lucky for her, a certain air nymph has taken it upon himself to help her improve her skills as a spy.
So...I'm SEVERELY late for this. I meant to post this yesterday morning. But I really underestimated how long these mini-bios would take to finish. Meelo's art is a bit old compared to everyone else. But I didn't feel like drawing a new one.
I do plan on making full bios for them at some point. But not anytime soon.

Have any Jia-Visas interactions? Feel like those two would make too much trouble for their own good lol
Of course!
---
Visas walked down the castle halls with her eyes scanning carefully. She was too meet up with Jia soon, and with the girl having a talent for hiding it would be difficult to locate her in the massive building. She idly twirled her staff as she turned around another corner and paused at a movement in her peripheral.
"Psst!" Jia waved her over from a window that she was halfway climbing through. Visa moved towards her quickly and glanced around to make sure that they were alone in the hall.
"You got the goods?"
"Shì de!" Jia held out a bag of chocolates that had been smuggled out of Astro's secret stash. It had taken her weeks to locate it, but thanks to her combined searching with Nia they were able to find at least one location. "Heads up, I think he put a curse on them."
"What makes you say?"
Jia stuck out her all black tongue.
"Oh..." As soon as Astro discovered his missing chocolates he would no doubt go looking for them. A black tongue was a telltale sign of the thieves that ate them.
But it was still totally worth it. Visas tossed a chocolate into her mouth and hummed at the intense flavor. Astro never revealed where he got his sweets so this was only fair in her eyes. "How long do you think this will last?"
Jia shrugged. "It's been two days so far."
"And you're telling me this now?!"
---
Sarasim scowled down at the two girls before her. They looked up at her with angelic innocence despite being covered in soot and ash, both of their weapons clasped behind their backs to not betray their antics. What did betray them was the charred body that laid behind them. Sarasim narrowed her eyes. "What did you do?"
"Well," Visas began, "there was this village that needed help from a malchemist holding them hostage. We were already in town so we didn't think that we needed to call for backup."
"And it just so happened that this village was being forced to make explosives." Jia gestured up at where Sol was perched on her head. "So that didn't quite mix."
Sarasim wasn't quite familiar with the second child or the flaming bird, but she and Visas definitely shared the same mischievous vibes. Trouble always did come in twos. She gestured at the charred body that they were failing to hide. "And who's that?"
"The malchemist. He's fine." Visas poked the body with her staff and it groaned. "He just got a taste of his own medicine...and ours," she smirked.
Still alive, the malchemist tried to crawl but Jia stepped on his ankle. "We broke his wand thingy so he's harmless. Maybe we can question him before we heal him?"
Sarasim folded her arms and raised a skeptical eyebrow. Left in their care, he wouldn't survive, but it would still be a nuisance to deal with him herself. "You should know better than to handle a malchemist on your own, but if you help me move the body then this stays between us."
"Deal!"
"Deal!"
"And go get cleaned up. You look like roasted pig-goats."
---
"This is awkward..."
"Tell me about it..."
Visas and Lapkus picked up the surplus skirts of their dresses as they maneuvered down the ballroom stairs. Neither was used to so much fabrics and preferred lighter wears, but tonight the party demanded that everyone look as regal as possible. And since Nia picked the dresses out for them it was impossible to say no.
Upon a closer looking at Visas, Jia gasped. "You're wearing boots! I could have worn boots?!"
"You will never catch me in high heels!" Visas threw her dress skirts down and leaned her head back to groan. Something shiny caught her attention and she inspected Jia's bun. "Is that a knife in your hair?"
Jia nodded. "Two actually. I've got another strapped to my thigh."
"Nice. I've got two in my boots and my staff is retracted in my corset," Visas smirked. She leaned forward and whispered in case anyone was eavesdropping. "Wanna ditch the gowns and have a knife fight on the roof?"
"Heck yeah," Jia grinned. "Let me dance with Nia first, and then I'll meet you up there!"
