hello asdfgsjdldkl this is a half fluffy half spicy request, how would you feel about writing a fem/gn mc who is autistic, but here’s the twist (lol)—their special interest is kink/bdsm? maybe they’re a bit shy about it at first since it’s not exactly something you just TALK about but one day they somehow end up infodumping? with Lilia, Idia, Vil, and Malleus, if that’s okay? (bonus points for mc being a sub ghjkslahsksl) (also if you’re not sure about how to write an autistic mc that’s totally fine, thank you for your service /gen ajshsjskdkl)
I tried to write this based on how my ADHD brain works with my special interests, so I hope this isn't as terrible lol also since you didn't say which kinks you'd like to see, I kept them a little bit more on the generalized side. If you'd like something more specific you can request again. Anyways thank you kindly for this lovely request, I had lots of fun writing it /gen <3
Synopsis: the boys are very intriguided to know about your secret special interest~ Characters: Vil Schoenheit, Idia Shroud, Malleus Draconia, Lilia Vanrouge Tags: NSFW, smut with context, bondage play, master/servant, power play, spanking/impact play Notes: gender neutral reader (unspecified body parts), everyone is 18+, excuse any grammatical errors,,,

Vil looks down on you with an amused expression as you moan and buck your hips up, searching for the friction you so desesperately need from his hands. You were pressed against the couch with your wrists firmly tied up on your back and your legs held apart by the leather belts, your dripping arousal entirely exposed and unable to wiggle too much, keeping you on the edge of your climax as you relied on Vil's painfully slow and light touches. It all started from one of Vil's fashion jobs. Being one of Twisted Wonderland's most beloved supermodels, he was offered to take a catwalk under the name of a high-end brand trying to test a new niche of clothing and creative display: a mix of kinky props and everyday clothing, with emphasis on office attire.
Vil looks absolutely dazzling on his violet blue formal shirt, sleeves rolled up his elbows to expose the shoulder-lenght latex gloves. A black leather chest harness hugs his figure perfectly, highlighting his curves and accentuating his proportions, his clothing, paired with the sensual makeup, gave him a rather imposing, bossy feel - the perfect face of a dangerous temptation, especially for you.
So much you can't help but unload all the little details about harness fashion you know about, about how they can be used to better pick on certain body parts, how they can be used for bondage and how you would love to try some on-
"Hush now, my precious nightingale. I love it when you sing for me like that, but…" He coos softly, his breath tickling against the hot skin of your cheek as his fingers came to press against your lips, gently nudging them open; a taunt and a promise of something more to come. "…I would hate it if the agency's staff came into my dressing room to find you like this."
Your eyes widen, suddenly remebering that anybody could walk in on any second, curious about the amount of noise coming out of Vil's room. As you slowly part your lips to welcome his gloved fingers, you hear a low chuckle of satisfaction coming. "Good puppy," Vil's whisper melts on your ears like dripping honey as his fingers make their way between uour teeth, playing with your tongue. "You deserve a reward for being so well behaved."
Tumblr media
"Y-you feel so g-good, darling…" Idia groans in contentment before slamming his cock deep inside you once more. A shaky, devilish laugh rolls off his tongue as he watches the way you struggle to keep you hand steady, trying your best to pour some tea without allowing even the tiniest drop to stain the sheets.
Idia was the one trying to suggest new things for you two to try out - on his own nerdy, embarrassed ways. He was too scared to openly admit his kinks, thinking that maybe you could find him a weirdo, so he would casually comment about something like he was just talking about the news, or even pointing out something unusual on a character from some anime.
However, Idia soon discovered about the hype of cat maid cafés, and as he 'innocently' showed you some of the recipes and how you could pick your maid's personality, he was surprised to see how it had sparked your interest, his face going alight as you passionately unravel about your love for cute maid outfits and how you do own one. Idia wasn't one to make bold moves, but that was just too good of an opportunity to let it slip away from his fingers, so he lightly suggests to see you with it…
And now you found yourself full-on roleplaying. Taking in the role of a humble, diligent maid to your master, you faced multiple challenges as Idia reveled on your misery, trying to keep yourself composed while serving him.
Idia's fingernails dig on your hips, pulling down on the black skirt as he bucks up against you, low gasps leaving his lips. You need to bite down on your lips to contain a curse, holding onto the teacup between your hands for dear life. "So cute and obedient…" You shiver at his praise, his voice laced with dark desire, pushing you down on his lap.
You are surprised by his hand possessively wrapping around your chin, forcing your face to turn to him. Before you can mouth any sound, he captures your lips, making your grip finally falter, droplets of tea splasing over Idia's legs.
"Oh no, seems like you've made a mess… better clean it up quick if you don't wanna be punished, huh?" He smirks with mischief, his pointy teeth grazing over your shoulder threateningly.
Tumblr media
You shudder in antecipation under Malleus' firm grip around the back of your neck, pushing your face down into the sheets. His throaty growl lingers over your body, leaving goosebumps under your skin. "Mine," Malleus rasps, his teeth sinking down on your back, leaving behind a perfect mark. "And I'll make sure everyone knows who you belong to." Malleus is very curious regarding everything that involves human nature, entertained by even the simplest of things. It wasn't uncommon to find him nose deep inside books, drinking in the particularities of the ones so exquisite for his fae standards.
While spending the afternoon with you in Ramshackle Dorm, quietly fidgeting through your phones and simply enjoying each other's company, he accidentally looked over your smartphone right in time to catch you scrolling down on a Magicam post about 'power play'. His interest is immediately piqued, intrigued by whatever it meant; Malleus points it out, interested to know more about it, and as you eagerly explains what it means, Malleus nods and hums in understanding, his mind working out on this new discovery.
"That's a very exquisite concept. Tell me, Child of Man, would you be willing to give me a practical demonstration on the matter? I'm certain I could understand it better this way."
You tried to keep Malleus pinned down on the bed, your hands firmly wrapping around his wrists to keep him still. Your attempt in dominance only the Fae Prince, who effortlessly turned you to lay on your belly, restraining you by the arms. "Looks like I am the winner of this little dispute. Shall I indulge in my prize now?"
Tumblr media
"Easy now, sugar bat. If you tense up too much, it will hurt even more." A low chuckle rolls off Lilia's tongue, mischief mixed with tenderness etched on his cherry-coloured eyes. The paddle on his hand slowly runs over your warmed thighs, the sensitive skin shivering and squirming under the rough leather feel, teasing and threatening to strike once more.
"Back in my day, those devices were used as torture tools to coax prisoners into talking about their secrets. Now, they are used in intimate rendezvous to give pleasure induced by pain." Lilia giggles, an innocent smile gracing his lips - a very fake one. The glint on his eyes suggesting some sly, hidden interest, like he wasn't just silently reading the fanfiction you were writing on your phone.
"So, you're interested on the complexities of pain and pleasure, huh? Would you like to indulge in a demonstration? I'll be more than happy to lead you into this forbidden experience, my dear." How could you deny such a confident, tantalizing suggestion? You knew a lot about the theoretical thing, having read a lot about fiction or even health-related articles about BDSM and impact play. Despite being shy about it, you knew you could trust Lilia.
"You're doing very well, sweetheart," Lilia's whisper is sweet and reassuring as his fingers gently thread between your locks, a soothing gesture in contrast to the dry impact of the paddle against your buttcheeks, marking the skin with a pinkish colour. The leather leaves a stinging sensation, making you gasp and squirm over Lilia's lap. He leans in to press a soft kiss on your forehead, a sly smirk playing at the corner of his lips. "Only ten more to go."

End of the Year Fic Recs
thank you @thescrapwitch and @sallysavestheday for tagging me!
This is a wonderful game, I love reccing fics and I should do it more. I'll keep it all Silmarillion for the recs, since that's the bulk of what I've read this year. I haven't had the spoon to leave proper comments on some of these, so hopefully reccing them can count too?
Recommend up to 5 series or multi-chapter fics from 2023 that everyone should read (multi-year WIPs count, if the last update was in 2023).
- The Harrowing by @chthonion. I am forever in awe of this whole series and of Chthonion's writing. Somehow every single sentence is relatable and at least half of them are a punch in the gut, but in a healing way. A delightful Frodo, Celebrimbor and Finrod working through their trauma and Annatar, remade as an elf, learning how to be a good person (and a person at all, really).
- we will make this place our home by @leucisticpuffin. Truly delightful 70s AU as narrated by 8 year old Elrond, who just makes my heart melt in every chapter. Maedhros and Maglor as traumatized foster parents doing their best, the twins with their antics and their fears and joys, it's such a breath of fresh air and I can't get enough of it.
- Hanged Man by @tethysresort. Second age fic about the fall of Eregion and the start of Imladris with so much interesting worldbuilding and plot, and characterization of Elrond and Glorfindel especially that I really loved.
- Everlasting Song by @amethysttribble. This is perhaps a little more niche, a crossover with A Song of Ice and Fire, but I'm not an ASOIAF fan at all and I have like two whole memories of the books and I'm still finding absolutely delightful. Top-notch characterization of the Fëanorians, and it really keeps you on your toes.
- Aurë entuluva by @theheirofashandfire. Just very recently caught up with it and I love it to bits! The time loop is all kinds of angsty and breathtaking, and I really love the world that is being constructed afterwards. Wonderful Russingon, and I'm also, especially, in love with her Curufin and Celegorm.
Recommend up to 5 single chapter fics/one-shots (long or short) from 2023 that everyone should read.
- Wayward Son by @thescrapwitch. Angst exactly like I like it. Fëanor and Maglor, and it will make you cry. @thescrapwitch writes Maglor just wonderfully and I really love this Fëanor that will do absolutely anything for his son.
- On the difference between hostages and sons by leodesic (and the rest of the series as well). Absolutely delightful Elrond and Elros, as seen by Gil-galad when they first come to his court. I love Elrond defying expectation, and this was such a wonderful read.
- the world to come by arriviste. Arda Remade, told through the shadows and the gaps of what's missing. It's eerie, and I love a well-written eerie fic that leaves you feeling a little off-balance. Wonderful reflection on the price of perfection.
- Sea-Bells and Sunlight by @actual-bill-potts. Finrod, Lúthien and Beren in Mandos. This broke my heart in the best way.
- in the breaking by @thelordofgifs. Short but terribly impactful study of Maedhros and Maglor before the end, one of the best I've read of them.
Recommend up to 5 fics NOT from 2023 that everyone should read (oldies but goodies).
- A Farewell to Arms by MorwenSteelsheen (LOTR, Farawyn). Such a wonderful characterization and development of Faramir and Éowyn's relationship in a slight canon divergence where Éowyn arrives in Gondor two years before the end of the war of the Ring.
- The Splintered Light by @thearrogantemu. The whole series. These Gifts That You Have Given Me (Silvergifting) is well-known in the fandom, I think, and I absolutely loved it, but the other fics set in the Fourth Age were among the first I read in this fandom that I just fell straight in love with.
- The Host of the West by @mynameisjessejk. Various fics of the Otter Mayhem and Otterless Mayhem series could have gone into every category here because I love them all, but this is the one I chose because I reread it yesterday for the fourth (fifth?) time and it still had me bawling my eyes out. Probably my favourite Finrod, and definitely an inspiration for my own writing. The whole series is about healing and redemption and elf therapy and all of it is delightful.
- The Peril (and Potential) of Unleashing Lightning in a Fishbowl by @dawnfelagund. This one took everything I thought I knew about Caranthir, threw it out the window and gave me a truly brilliant characterization I didn't know I needed in my life. The worldbuilding is also delightful, and so is Amarië.
- Aranya by SpaceWall. I read this recently and it's really staying with me. Some people in my asks have expressed interest in fics that take the Valar to account for their mistakes, and this is a wonderful one. With a bonus revolution. I really love the non-linear storytelling as well, a hard-to-use tool that is done wonderfully here. Plus the title is inspired.
Recommend up to 5 of your own fics (completed or WIP) from 2023 that everyone should read.
- your veins are empty of dust. Character study of Nerdanel as feels her family die across the sea, and she sculpts. This is also the fic for which I made the art I'm probably the proudest of to date.
- your smile tells me I'm safe. Modern AU with aro Maedhros and a Russingon QPR.
- silver. Míriel, Celegorm and Celebrimbor, and living with chronic illness.
- the light that you keep burning there. Part of a much larger AU where the second and third kinslayings don't happen, but this one is about Maedhros, Maglor and Fingon in the later years, as the world crumbles, trying to remember what (who) they're fighting for.
- if I am to braid my mystic crown. The Silmarillion retold through worldbuilding headcanons about braids.
Tagging @unforth @foodsies4me @wren-of-the-woods @camille-lachenille (I don't know who has already done it, so feel free to send me a link if you have!)

I have a really weird hyperfixation on The Mummy, but not the Boris Karloff or the Brendan Fraser versions, those would be completely acceptable movies to enjoy (and I do so enjoy them)
but I cannot stop thinking about The Mummy 2017 starring Tom Cruise and it's a problem
I love bad movies, I love them so much, I own so many b-grade horror flicks, old classic films with terrible acting and awful special effects, I love absolutely shit tier cgi, I love Ed Wood disasters, I love cult classic bad movies, I love really weird niche bad movies
but this one is like, such a special kind of bad movie, I can't really put my finger on exactly why though?? but I am damn well going to try, in this essay I will-
they fucked up from the get go by casting Tom Cruise, like this movie is sometimes deliberately goofy, but a lot of the time it takes itself very seriously, SO seriously, and I cannot physically take Tom Cruise seriously, he turns every single scene he is in into a joke by virtue of his mere presence
but when they have actual jokes, they are so not funny they cycle back around to being really fucking funny
I am watching this movie fucking whiff every god damn beat it tries to hit and it does it so beautifully it's a god damn marvel
Russel Crowe as Jekyll and Hyde??? I actually somehow missed the part where he introduced himself as Jekyll on my first watch, so the Hyde reveal was a true surprise to me and I was very genuinely disappointed on my second watch when I realised it was not supposed to be a surprise, because that was a really fun reveal
and Russel Crowe seemed to be having an absolute fucking whale of a time as Hyde, I loved every moment he was on screen with his stupid cockney accent, I would watch his movie, I know it would be bad, that's why I want it, because there is nothing quite like a bad movie with an actor still giving 110%
and the mummy character herself? she was supposed to be pharaoh and then her dad had a son with someone else and now this baby is jumping all up in her place like, okay baby murder might not be the coolest thing in the world but like, she's got ambition, she's getting shit done, she's hustlin' like go get it girl I'm rooting for you babe
also when she sucked the life out of some dude and turned him into a shrivelled husk my roommate said 'she could do that to me and I'd thank her' so she's got that going for her, like girl's a half rotten corpse wrapped in decaying bandages and she still slays
and then we have the completely ridiculous female rivalry??? like this mummy could kill this woman SO MANY TIMES and just doesn't???? for reasons?????? like she could literally kill her in an instant at any moment but no they gotta girl fight for a bit because Tom Cruise is at stake and why wouldn't two hot women fight over Tom Cruise right?? right????
nevermind the fact that he has been practically nothing but ✨The WooOOOOooorst✨ to her the WHOLE first act of the movie, oh and uh let's not forget the 'duh huh guy bad at sex' jokes that they just could not put down for a good chunk there (but wait! uh he's good at sex actually she's just being mean because he hurt her feewings)
like, this movie hits every fucking branch of the bad trope tree, this movie is playing bad trope bingo, it is collecting bad tropes like pokemon, it has to have them all
also a really bizarre ongoing American Werewolf in London reference?? it was not unwelcome, it was some of the best comedy in the movie (that is an easy bar to jump btw), the actor had some great wry line delivery, I enjoyed it
I think the biggest issue, and the reason I can't stop chewing on this magnum opus of garbage, is that it reminds me of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, in several different ways
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen also happens to be another of my favourite bad movies, but it falls into the particular genre of bad movies, a fucking cool as shit concept, and some really cool as shit visuals, and some very cool as shit characters, but an absolute swing and a miss on the delivery
The Mummy 2017 starring Tom Cruise has That Vibe to me, there is some cool shit here, we know this because the previous version utilised that cool shit very very well, but this one was the only one who made the villain a woman pursuing a man, and not just any man, the ✨worst✨ man, you did not feel very sorry for this guy, honestly watching him go through the constant torment of being stalked by a bodacious supernatural babe who put a sexy little curse kiss on him was fun, he's a sopping wet little meow meow and I wanna see him thrown at a wall, and I get to see that several times, and it is a delight every time
in the previous movie the mummy went after really likeable characters, people who were just generally nice, a roguish scamp with a heart of gold, or just really hot, seriously that cast was beyond smoking what the fu
I did not like Tom Cruise as a character, and to be fair that was the point, he was supposed to have a redemption arc, the story and his sacrifice at the end were supposed to be about him becoming a better person
but he fucking doesn't??? it's like 'oh boo hoo I have made this great sacrifice and now I am a monster and I did it to save my lady love's life even though we had zero chemistry and I was just ✨The Worst✨ to her' and then he fucks off to go and do the exact same shit he was doing at the start of the movie, fucking around in the desert looking for boy adventures
it was a great ending and I loved it because it was so dumb and also he abandoned the woman he brought back to life to go fuck around with his bro who he also brought back to life, I love that for them, go have some boy adventures you madlads you sure didn't earn it but don't let that stop you, just heterosexually ride off into the sunset together it's fine, she is literally better off without you in every way you made the Correct Decision
and then there's these moments, moments that are treated like big moments, and could be really cool moments, but just don't fucking land
there's a part where Tom Cruise starts talking to the mummy in her own language (they got a psychic bond and shit which is it's own cool little thing we'll get back to that) and everyone is watching like 😮 oooh didn't know he could do that wow there really IS magic bond between them oooh, and it's like a Big Deal and Very Cool
but Tom Cruise just sounds like he's speaking gibberish with a mouth full of novocain???? it doesn't sound cool at all??? it sounds really goofy???? I half expected him to start drooling on himself
then there is the ending, leading lady dies, he completes the ritual to invite the god of death into his body (a fucking baller move honestly), he fights it for control as the mummy attempts to sway the beast inside him to her side, but when he sees his beloved laying dead he fights her off, using his newfound powers to defeat her, and then weeps over his lady love begging for her to wake up
and then as he lets the god inside him loose, a terrible monstrous visage takes him over as he bloodcurdlingly screams in her face WAKE UP!!! and the power within him that he doesn't understand and can barely control listens
she wakes, and sees him hiding in the shadows, unable to face her now that he has become something terrifying
at least that's what I think they thought the scene would be like, it was a little more like, some crappy flashback and speed up effects as he becomes the god of death, a really pathetic and uneventful 1 minute of him fighting for control, after which he has a really pathetic and uneventful 1 minute of fighting the mummy, and then as he screams for his lady love to wake up, we get a shot of some absolutely fucking god awful cgi and the most uninspired monster face I've ever seen
I mean, half seen, it was a very dark shot, in fact most of the movie is shot in the dark, a very blatant attempt to obscure the shithouse cgi
except in one scene where it kinda fucking slapped, where the mummy sucks the life out of some guys, and then reanimates their husky corpses as thralls, the way they stand like jerky unstable puppets being dragged to their feet by unseen strings was actually pretty fuckin' dope and the dark scene obscured the details in just the right amount to make their uncannily decrepit silhouettes appear super creepy
this is the only time that trick works, every other time I just want someone to turn on a fucking torch so I can actually see what the hell's going on
okay now let's get back to that psychic bond thing
our main character was chosen not because he was a descendant, or a reincarnation, or just Looked Real Pretty (although I think she did have the hots for him a leeetle bit which is like, girl raise your standards, it's Tom Cruise, he's about as sexually appealing as a wet potato, you can do better), he had absolutely zero in common with the mummy's original choice for this ritual, in fact that guy was not significant to the story at all, I think he was just some dude who was down for some ritual shenanigans 'cause a hot lady asked him (also he was hotter than Tom Cruise so this is a significant downgrade, I feel like if she had the opportunity to shop around a little she might have picked better)
so Tom Cruise wasn't chosen for any reason other than that he's the one who released her, and she sees this as her way of saying thank you, and I love that, it's real sweet, would love if I opened a door for someone and they repaid me by summoning a god of death into my body, that really shows they care you know?
she gives him a little hallucinatory kissy kiss and then manages to follow him everywhere, while also compelling him to follow her without him really knowing it, there is a very cool part where he's trying to drive away from her, but somehow ends up driving in a circle and falling right back into her clutches, that was cool, that had the potential to even be super fucking creepy, she can manipulate him without him even realising, it doesn't matter where he goes or what he does, he will always somehow find his way back to her, that's so good, I love that
and then back to the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comparisons
The Mummy 2017 starring Tom Cruise established a concept of an organisation who hunt down, collect, and research supernatural phenomena, with a leader (Jekyll) who also has ulterior motives and is actually not really the good guy, this movie was also supposed to be part of a monster movie cinematic universe, so this really could have become like, the Universal Monster Movie equivalent of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and I would have watched the hell out of that, and I am crushed that this movie bombed so bad and ruined the whole plan
like could you imagine a whole series as bad as this movie? all culminating together as the most god awful Avengers style team up? fuuuck I want to live in that universe so bad
I think my fascination comes from this ungodly mix of real pure potential, those fleeting super fucking cool moments and concepts that, if given to literally any other actor, could have really been something, and the just pure insane failure to make literally anything in this plot successfully land a hit
somehow this movie felt like the completely dead and soulless corpse of a cheap party clown, while the ghost of something incredible flickered in its eyes

stupidly niche post about the way french and english think bird categories differently and it fucks with me
because I need to rant and show why looking up birds in both english and french is extremely frustrating ! Let's take the Accipitridae family for example ! Clearly the two languages decided to follow pretty different sets of rules to sort the birds out and it results in this fucking mess which gives me a headache :
all the eagles are "aigles" in french
but the hawk-eagles in english are also just "aigles" in french
the goshawks in english are all "autours" in french
but the "autours" in french are ALSO two sparrowhawks (the chesnut-flanked and the black one), one hawk (long-tailed) and one buzzard (lizzard) for some reason.
there are 5 "baza" birds in french and only 3 baza birds in english...
the 2 other baza birds in french are, for some reason, called cuckoo-hawks in english. Somehow they were seen as significantly different enough in one language but not the other.
the bateleur, honey-buzzards, harrier-hawks, snake eagles and serpent eagles in english (why snake AND serpent ? that's the same thing) are the only Accitridae birds with a unique translation in french. They're respectively called "bateleur", "bondrées", "gymnogènes", "circaètes" and "serpentaires", which means that the two languages agreed on exactly five (5) categories of Appitridae birds and nothing more.
you could think that the bird called "busard" in french is the bird called buzzard in english, right ? hahahaha, no ! fuck no ! "Busard" in french is harrier in english !
Buzzard in english is in 4 cases "busautour" in french and in MANY other cases MANY other words :))) I hate this :))))
the "buse" in french is an hawk
the "buse" in french is also MANY buzzards
the "buse" in french is also one fucking buzzard-eagle and two fucking eagles ???? what is the buse in french exactly ?!? WHAT IS IT ??? maybe english has been ignoring essential common features between all these guys ??? who knows ?? not me
remember how "buse" = hawk sometimes ? well the french word "épervier" also = hawk sometimes. clearly hawks aren't perceived as a unified group in french.
remember how "autours" = sparrowhawks in two cases in french ? well the rest of the sparrowhawks are "éperviers" ! that's right just like the hawks ! I guess that difference english sees between hawks and sparrowhawks is completley insignificant in the french system
there's only one Harpy in english but there are two "Harpie" in french....
the "creasted eagle" is the second "Harpie" in french. why did it deserve to be a harpie in french and not in english ? I do not know.
"élanions" are kites
"milans" are also kites because fuck you that's why
"milans" are ALSO "buzzards" (THEM AGAIN !!!) and one single "hawk" (the bat hawk. why.)
english has fish eagles, sea eagles and the white-tailed eagle and bald eagle. well french has "pycargue" for ALL of these.
that's right the bald eagle in french is not an eagle ("aigle") but a "Pycargue à tête blanche" ! I can guarantee you that statistically almost 0% of french speakers know that. we all call it an eagle in casual conversation.
for some reason when it comes to "Vultures" the french language kind of goes a little insane ???
bearded vulture = "gypaète barbu",
palm-nut vulture = "palmiste africain",
egyptian vulture = "percnoptère d'Egypte"
why so many unique names for vultures ???
all the other vultures in english are "vautours" in french
and that's why I will never be able to learn how to translate the name of these birds from one language to another, the logics are simply too different and my brain isn't powerful enough to compartimentalize both of them properly at the same time, I always forget explanations. fuck this. time to learn scientific names.

hi melty face anon! 😊i saw ur ask earlier today and now im not busy so i can finally actually go thru it and answer it LOL!
your friends sound like nice normal casual fans so cheers to that! the side by side for the lulugirl description vs the fyp of possibly one of the gayest most downbad fanbases is also pretty funny LMAO yall rlly found a way to bond over the most unexpected mutual interest 🤣 do u guys ever send eachother an edit and the other is like ‘actually i already had that one liked 😝’
yeah i agree it rlly is hard out there for new fans rn the ‘you just had to be there’ thing is js completely true. like theres so much to explain that you have to either have been there or u gotta crawl into my brain and see for yourself 🤷‍♀️. the disconnect between new/old fans is tough like its not really their fault for being new wave but why did the new wave have to be crazy invasive 😭? yeah i dont blame other blog people for not having the energy to reexplain old stuff or not wanting to go find links everytime someone asks 😭 its pretty nice some anons go through the trouble of finding them tho. they got a W community fr✊(side note i like how i know exactly what your talking abt having seen other blogs LMAO). about the paige obsessed fans i do agree they have a problem with trying to find out every little bit of info about her like some kind of trend hyper fixation. however sorry but i dont think i see the connection to specifically highschool students 🤷‍♀️. i think plenty of people of all ages have joined the popularity wave and while the actually chronically obsessed ones are most likely younger (like i dont really see a 50 year old discovering tumblr to find out every little detail abt a college bb player 🤣) i dont feel like its all high schoolers esp bc theres plenty of college students on here supporting the true delulu agenda 😭.
no literally abt the pazzi tags thats so true, honestly tho the majority of the videos in the pazzi tag on any site is all still a bunch of random italian stuff LMAO (if anyones curious just look on instagram scroll for like 5 seconds and italian stuff pops up 😭). the publicity for the game was truly amazing but sadly the secret society couldnt stay hidden forever 🥲 my entire life tumblr has been known as like a dead site so i was really shocked that tiktok somehow found it like she really blew up so hard yall rediscovered tumblr for her!?!? like i said tumblrs always been a niche kinda dead website unless you stumbled across it when you were younger and saw something it in. there arent tons of people out there who want to run blogs for things they like anymore. i dont blame new people for not knowing the tumblr lore (you js had to be there in the 2000s) i dont even remember how i discovered tumblr 😭 i havent even always been an active user like now i js knew it existed and my head recognized it as a media site and i never thought more to it. i wonder what the tumblr discovery pipelines are 🤣.
i get what u mean abt blogging you thoughts .the line between speculating because your curious and wanna know but also trying not to feel creepy is so hard because you really cant deny that its creepy to be looking closely at someones life like that😭 but its like yeah i dont judge other ppl bc i like reading abt it and talking abt it😭😭😭. having an interest in smth and wanting to show your interest is literally js so human and to have to holdback your interest because the thing your interested its creepy to be TOO interested is the most frustrating thing 🥲 if i had friends who would hear out my thoughts i would not have a tumblr blog. the purpose of my blog really is simply just me wanting to talk abt smth i like with people. how i see it is keeping thoughts to yourself isnt as fun bc like who will give you a second perspective on your theories!
LMFAO they really are a family they in this together frl. i think the sense of exclusivity comes a little from the fact that they’ve been interacting with eachother for a while and have seemlessly connected with eachothers views over time so its js rlly easy to be talk about basically anything when you know all abt the other people your talking with. anyways i love your asks i js like laying down and reading it all while writing my response its so entertaining i think ive been writing this for like 2 hrs im watching baby driver on the side😭. im on the last sentence of ur ask🎉!! about my grammar and spelling its jsut like i type what im thinking and i dont wanna go back and reread it to see where there needs to be a comma 😫 LMAO. its not even just when im high but when im high i care even less 😅. you wished you were high 😯 pookie do u smoke like that? i wanna know all abt it

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Tagged by @hmslusitania!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
96, somehow (some of them are ficlets preserved for posterity, so there should probably be more, if I remembered to move some more things from here)
2. What’s your total word count on AO3?
342,331
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Most actively at this exact moment, kpop rpf (ATEEZ and SHINee), but all but one thing in this category is a WIP I haven't posted yet. But I also have a Devil Judge AU I *really* want to write, if my writing brain picks back up properly.
4. Top five fics by kudos
This is hilariously skewed to Teen Wolf just by virtue of the size of the fandom, I don't actually think these are the fics I'm most known for, but:
-The (un)Usual? -Can I...? -Derek from the Club -You Give Me Butterflies -Rebalance
*Bonus content, least amount of kudos (because it is one of two fics for the entire fandom):
-This Would Be Enough
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably "In Love with Ghosts," a character study about Lan Xichen and Song Lan have to deal with being left behind in the world of the living
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I write so much fluff, I'm sure this is very subjective, but I think the one that makes *me* the happiest is the 2-part Petopher series Silver & Gold, because the middle-aged second-chance romance of them finally getting everything they've ever wanted was written to cater exactly to me.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
No, but I do have a hilarious bookmark saying one of my rare M-rated fics should be a G (????)
9. Do you write smut?
Related to the above answer, not really. I collab for smut very happily, but I spent several years in my irl career copy editing for a self-published romance writer who was very prolific but not great at keeping characterization consistent in sex scenes and it kind of burned me out on thinking through such scenarios for my own hobby purposes. That said, I do keep writing things that toe closer and closer to the line, so. Perhaps I am recovering from the trauma.
10. Craziest crossover?
Uh, I'm pretty sure that would be the Kent Parson/Derek Hale thing I wrote here as penance for being a vector of cross-fandom Derek confusion, but I don't think that ever got moved over to AO3. The funniest AU that's almost but not quite a crossover was the Wenzhou AU ("Persistence Pays Off") I wrote that started from the premise of Senpai, Don't You Know?, which is a niche enough reference that I'm probably the only one who understands how hilarious the mismatch is.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I don't think so?
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Yes! Several times, it's very fun.
14. All time favourite ship?
You want me to choose??? Nurseydex, for the sheer power they had over my brain for so long, and Petopher, for being such tired Actual Adults
15. What’s a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I really want to finish Bull City Blues, but my brain started avoiding working on it hardcore because it was bringing up all my own bad grad school experiences, so I'm stuck here with most of the end written but not the ability to push through the middle, and I deeply apologize for that. I keep hoping I'll come up with a way around it, just so I can post the end, finally.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue (where I mentally always start) and descriptions of specific imagery (because I see scenes like movies in my head)
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Plot. (Longfic who? I don't know her.)
18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?
It's fine? If I ever wrote a long enough passage in not-English that it wasn't apparent from context, I'd have the translation in footnotes/hovertext, but it hasn't come up yet. Since so many of the fandoms I've written in recently have been non-English, I do sometimes have the dialogue in my head running in two languages simultaneously, but I tend to just write it all in English for ease of reading.
19. First fandom you wrote in?
Like, to be posted on the internet? Check, Please! Ever? I genuinely could not tell you.
20. Fave fics you’ve written?
-Petals & Thorns (Nurseydex pop punk star/florist AU series)
-Silver & Gold (Petopher rock star/lawyer second-chance romance)
-This Would Be Enough (Atom no Ko post-canon, the ace-est thing I've written so far)
-Fragments of a Life Lived in Dreams (Nirvana in Fire dreamsharing AU)
Ngl, I reread all my own fics regularly, but these are probably some of the most reread ones.
Tagging: anyone who wants to play! (but especially @annundriel, @cobrilee, and @gendzl, if you want)

For the tokusatsu ask game!
1 and 19 :)
Oh, those are good ones. Thanks, @nieves-de-sugui!
How did you get into toku?
When my kids were three or four (they're twins so they always share the same age), my son saw a toy Godzilla and got obsessed with it. So we started showing my kids Godzilla movies, then branched out into other Toho kaiju like Mothra, King Ghidorah, etc. Just to give you an idea of how deep this got, at one point my kids were both obsessed with Biollante, a monster that was created when scientists fused some of Godzilla's DNA with a rose and the soul of a young girl that looks kind of like the thing from Little Shop of Horrors on steroids. This continued for a while. Then we watched Godzilla vs. Megalon, which features Jet Jaguar, a kaiju-fighting robot who they immediately adored. We were already tracking down toys of the various monsters they liked and they wanted a Jet Jaguar one really bad, but when my partner went looking, there weren't any options out there. (I think since then a JJ figure has been issued, but it wasn't around at the time.)
Tumblr media
Then a fateful moment occurred: my spouse saw an Ultraman toy someplace, though it kind of resembled Jet Jaguar, and got it for the kids to see if they'd like it. They were immediately obsessed and wanted to know all about Ultraman, but we barely knew anything about it. I'd seen a little bit of the weirdly dubbed version of Tiga that aired on the WB on Saturday mornings at one point, but that was it. So we started looking things up and checking out shows, which led to more shows and more toys and so on. Our first series was Tiga and we just kept going from there. This was also around the start of the pandemic, so we were in desperate need of an exciting new collective obsession. Actually, I don't know how we would have gotten through that period without Ultraman.
So we mainlined Ultraman for months (maybe even a year or more?) before we checked out any other toku stuff. Then we were talking to a friend who's knowledgeable about this stuff and he suggested we try branching out into other tokusatsu franchises. Our first Super Sentai series was Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, which we all loved right away. I think our first Kamen Rider series was actually Ex-Aid, so it’s kind of a miracle that we kept going with it, because I really dislike that series--I never even finished watching it. Our second Kamen Rider was Saber, which was a way better fit for us (if not exactly representative of the franchise) and remains one of my favorite Kamen Rider series.
Tumblr media
Kamen Rider Ryuki was a kind of milestone because it was the first tokusatsu show that my spouse and I watched without having to have kids present and paying attention all the time. It's a bit on the mature side so they only wanted to watch it intermittently. That's when we figured out that some toku shows filled that niche really well--things that we could watch without worrying about kids feeling left out but that we didn't have to refrain from watching in their presence or censor somehow (at least, most of the time). Which led to even more tokusatsu-watching since things you can watch in that way can be hard to come by.
Tumblr media
Incidentally, a big part of the reason I first got into BLs was because of my tokusatsu fandom. Before I saw my first BL, my twin sister had already seen KinnPorsche and told me about it, so maybe she would have continued with BLs and eventually gotten me into them anyway. It's hard to say. But as it happened, I was looking for something short and not too gut-wrenching to watch on Viki one day when I saw the listing for Senpai, This Can't Be Love and got curious about it because the leads were played by Naito Shuichiro from Saber and Seto Toshiki from Ex-Aid. I talk about the tokusatsu to BL pipeline for actors, but I myself traveled down the viewer equivalent of that pipeline.
Tumblr media
19. If you could go back and change one show, what would you change?
My first thought was something relatively small. If I could, I’d change the fact that Takano Hassei’s character in Kamen Rider Ryuki was (spoiler!) killed off so quickly. I get that the battle royale premise of the series necessitated some painful character deaths but he was so likable and made the story so much more compelling as soon as he showed up and then suddenly he was gone. They should have let him stick around at least a while longer.
Tumblr media
But the main series I’d change is Kamen Rider Kiva. I have such mixed feelings about that series in a number of areas, but the main thing I’d change is its treatment of women characters. It's kind of confusing, though. I keep thinking over how things turn out for the women in Kiva and trying to figure out exactly what my problem is with it and what I think should have been done differently. Basically, the women in Kiva face a lot of sexism in different forms, and the show makes this pretty explicit. Women in Kiva can be incredibly competent and smart, much more than their male counterparts, and they still don't get the same opportunities. Whenever men in the show are interested in a woman romantically and/or sexually, tons of sexism also comes into play, usually in the forms of benevolent sexism and/or objectification. In one arc, for example, two men fight over a woman as if she's a prize to be won and she doesn't have a say in the matter. Otoya often insists on rescuing Yuri from situations that she's arguably better equipped to deal with than he is, with occasionally disastrous effects. These things aren't portrayed as neutral. At times, sexism is called out explicitly. At others, it's shown in a way that seems clearly designed to make it visible.
I'm used to media texts that highlight sexism giving me some kind of catharsis about it. It would be ridiculous for a story to solve the problem of sexism completely, but there's usually some kind of progress that's made, or at least a character removes herself from a sexist situation if it doesn't improve. But Kiva doesn't do that. Not really, anyway. Both of the women who want to be Riders do get to do that, briefly, which was pretty remarkable when the series aired in 2008/2009. Unlike in some Kamen Rider series in which characters always have their own distinct Rider identity, a bunch of the people (basically, all of the human beings) who become Riders in Kiva use the same tool, the Ixa System, and become variations on the same Rider. Both Yuri and Megumi, a mother and daughter shown in different time periods, become Kamen Rider Ixa at some point. But their time as Riders is short-lived, and only happens after they've proven themselves again and again while watching the dopiest men imaginable get to become Ixa first. So that doesn't constitute much progress. (Did I mention that Yuri's deceased mother/Megumi's grandmotherdesigned the Ixa System? And they each still have to fight tooth and nail for a brief chance to use it!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Watching Kiva actually made me notice the extent to which I expect some kind of catharsis once a piece of media foregrounds sexism somehow. And as soon as I noticed it, I questioned it. Does that kind of catharsis really need to happen? Might it not be better for us to have to sit with that discomfort? Catharsis discharges tension, but maybe it's better not to do that. But I don't think the uniformly shitty outcomes faced by the women on Kiva serve any sort of useful purpose in that way. (I'm including Megumi marrying Nago as a shitty outcome. The show may treat it as cause for celebration but that guy sucks and she's totally settling.)
So what would I change? First, I'd make the sexism the women face more explicit, with more characters labeling it as such more often. Since the show features two timelines, one taking place in 1986 and one in 2008, it would make sense and provide at least a little bit of hope if the 2008 storyline involved a bit less sexism or a bit more progress toward counteracting it. Maybe some individual characters could even learn something from their experiences and become a bit less sexist. At the very least, the leaders of the Wonderful Blue Sky Organization should have learned from their mistakes since they were present for the events of both 1986 and 2008 (the other 2008 characters are too young to have been present then except as small chidren).
When the two Kurenais, Otoya and Wataru, go through a body-swap situation across time and Otoya finds himself in 2008, his attitudes seem even more egregious in the context of 2008. I'd look for other ways to use the differences and similarities between attitudes in the two time periods to make a similar type of point.
I'd definitely give Yuri and Megumi more of a chance to be Ixa. Especially Megumi, since she's in 2008 when people should be at least a little bit less sexist. And for fuck's sake, I wouldn't have Megumi marry a douchey clod like Nago in a million years.
Well, that ended up being longer than I expected! Thanks again for the questions, nieves!

OFMD MAD RESPECT
Y'know, I've been thinking of why this show's cancellation hurt so much, and why the excuse of how 'it was about the numbers' somehow makes it worse, which maybe some of y'all will find relatable...? Being a 'picky eater' when it comes to entertainment and finding joy in things is a fucking bitch. To give an example- (And I'm not bashing these shows, I'm sure they're wonderful and have great themes and characters and I totally get the appeal, but they just didn't interest me and it's frustrating that I don't know why when I feel like I should.) I just watched a trailer for The White Lotus to see what all the fuss what about (and I do like Aubrey Plaza), but I was immediately put off. Tried The Last of Us a while back, and for some reason it didn't catch my attention for a second. Community I tried, but I wasn't inclined to dedicate my time to it. I really wanted to like Stranger Things but just somehow could not. Looking through the most popular shows on tv now was even more depressing just by how uninteresting or generic they seem to me. So when I find something I truly love/like, I clutch onto it with all my might because it's just so fucking rare, and it's usually (but not always) within the ballpark of a select bunch of niche geek fandom culture - y'all know exactly what I mean.
And this show was just such a beautiful example of that culture that somehow snagged my interest. The characters are so crazy and wild and charming in just the right way for me here... it's even rarer when I enjoy every single character and this show was an absolute treasure in that. This cast and their likable portrayals are so important because why would I want to spend even more time with people I don't like? And such beautiful diversity of all types of people to boot! And most of all - it's one of those shows that doesn't confine romantic relationships into ONE BOX and use any kind of token representation.
That first kiss from the primary characters to show that their relationship was really the focus of the story...
Tumblr media
That was the clincher. Our Flag Means Death is just so beautiful that way. To indulge in the wacky, weird entertainment that grabs you in just the right way, but also to finally been seen and heard and told that your interests are valid despite the overwhelming odds....
Tumblr media
It always hurts when the things you love are shoved to the side in favor of what considered 'more popular' stuff, which is all too common with being so damn picky, because it's yet another reminder that you don't seem to fit in with the rest of the world, and that the people that find you and your interests disgusting/weird/deviant/uniteresting are much more important. It's like they win once again, those same people who drive you into burying yourself in these fantasy worlds in the first place just to find a safe space to love and find joy in peace.
I'm terrible with being proactive, but I have never fought as hard for a show as this one. It's just that special ❤️ Yep, a Ted Talk.

4 12 14 19 for the first part
6 7 for the second part!
🥰
4. Genie granted you three NSFW wishes. What are you wishing for?
Serious: I wish I could turn my brain off more easily. I tend to get really up in my head during sex and not enjoy it because of that. Honestly, part of the appeal of BDSM is just that it gives me something to think about 😭
More fun: I wish everyone could somehow clock me for the subby slut that I am. I wish you could spot it from a mile away and take advantage of it whenever you want ♥️ I want to be groped and used in public, everyone knowing exactly what buttons to push to reset my brain and reduce me to a drooly mess ☺️
Lastly, I wish for a body swap, just because I’m extremely curious about what it’s like to have a pussy and I’m annoyed I’ll never get to know 😔
12. What’s the weirdest thing that turned you on? Did you masturbate to it? Would you do it again?
This is such a hard question 😭
I’m *super* into intox stuff, but irl try not to drink or smoke much because I get scared by losing control. But I definitely have masturbated to it a lot 😩 That’s kinda weird!
But I’ll go through weird phases of getting into strange porn niches that weird me out when I’m not turned on, like massive amounts of cum for example. (uhh if you want more examples feel free to send me weird porn for a rating 🫣)
I think the thing that would strike most normies as weirdest would be all the monster fucking, because of how taboo some aspects of that are. Like, I think most people would be alarmed about having too many feelings about werewolf cock.
14. What body part would you worship on other people to the end of time because NGHHHH?
Thighs 🤤 Running my hands up and down them, squeezing and scratching and kissing them, holding fast to them while I eat you out, feeling them squeeze around me… GOD just THIGHS.
18. You can do only ONE thing to your partner sex-wise for an entire month. What is your pick?
Spend the month fucking my mouth. I don’t need to cum. What I need is to be trained in getting you off. Make me intimately familiar with your pussy. Make sure I treat you right, and grab my hair and push me down if I don’t. Watch me grind against the bed in desperation. There’s a month left to go.
-
FIXING AN ERROR
6. What’s the most flattering thing someone’s said about your naked body?
People have said a lot of nice things about my cock 🫣 but I never know whether to believe them, idk people feel like they’re supposed to say a lot of things during sex and I get weird about it
7. What’s a part of clothing you would love to see your crush/partner in?
Sweatpants for a day in of unrestrained lust
Women’s formalwear. Just. 👌 good shit
I’ve had a couple girlfriends who looked ridiculously appealing in just their nice jeans and a hoody. Idk I’m not really a lingerie kinda person, or that into latex or leather … my fantasies tend to be more domestic or grounded I think, and I don’t need any help looking at someone attractive and becoming obsessed with them 😩
-
6. Creampie or Throatpie?
Depends on who’s receiving 🫣 umm in my experience, the first one
7. Cuck someone or Get cucked?
I’m actually not really into cuckoldry! OTOH… I really love the idea of being shared, or being “forced” to pleasure someone. Does that count as cucking my partner in a weird way? If they join in, are they cucking me too? Tell us, Socrates!

Am I out of touch (with nature)?
Introduction
Hello readers and fellow nature lovers! I’ve decided to begin a blog about my personal experiences with and relationship to nature. I assume many of you also have a love of nature (considering you’re exploring niche nature blogs on the internet), and harbor your own personal memories of enjoying our natural world.
For those of you who are a bit iffy on nature, and prefer keeping a few inches of glass between you and the elements - I hope that by relaying my personal experiences and expressing the enjoyment that I derive from nature, that you may also feel some of that enjoyment, and consider connecting with nature more in your personal life.
Tumblr media
(This is a picture I took on the beach at sunset in New Brunswick a few years ago)
Disconnected
With all that being said, recently I’ve been reflecting on the amount of time I’ve been spending in nature recently, and I came to the realization that I feel a bit disconnected from the natural world on an experiential level. Over the past year or so I haven't been going outside and enjoying nature as much as I used to, even though I love the outdoors. I don’t know exactly why, but I’ve narrowed down a few possible factors.
First of all, we are in the winter season right now. I don’t know about you, but I always find it so much harder to enjoy nature during the winter. The snow coating the trees and landscape is beautiful, but it still feels kinda dead. Everything is still alive of course - everything present in the summer has to survive over the winter somehow. Animals are hibernating, still active, or in the soil below the frostline. Trees are still alive - they’re just dormant. But still. Even though I have all this conceptual head knowledge, I still don’t find as much enjoyment from going outside during the winter, and this reduces the time I spend walking the trails and parks that I normally would in the summer.
Pandemic
The second major reason for this long term disconnect in my opinion is that I was spending a ton of time outside during the pandemic. With high school ending early and months and years with little to except spend time in nature, I went on innumerable expeditions on my bike to local parks, trails and ponds where I was hanging out with squirrels, birds, frogs, snapping turtles, and even snakes. I spent many hours outside during pandemic times and really connected to nature (while coincidentally disconnecting from the human social world in many ways).
Tumblr media
(Picture of me chilling with one of these aforementioned snake friends)
Back to the present
Don’t get me wrong, I still care for nature and get to learn about it almost every day, I just lack the same personal connection of spending time outdoors that I used to, which I feel is necessary for true connection.
Back to the deep past
Looking back further at my childhood, I always loved playing outside and being an “outdoorsy” person. As early as I can remember my mom would take me and my brother to the local park which had a small pond inhabited by frogs which I would catch (and release of course) as a kid. I felt so at-home there that I had to be forced to leave eventually so we could see the rest of the park.
I really attribute a lot of my connection to and exposure to nature at a young age to my mother. She was the primary person who while I was growing up, allowed me to explore the natural world and embrace my innate interest in it.
Tumblr media
(Picture of young me also holding a snake friend but in a less natural setting, to highlight the continuity of my appreciation of all wildlife including snakes from a young age)
Hope You Enjoyed My First Post
Well, that's probably enough personal ramblings for now. I hope you enjoyed reading, and got a little bit of insight into my current and past connection to nature, and the people who first helped me feel a sense of place within it.

Hi hello I'm back and non-anon (bc I'm not scared anymore lmao), I sent in the star elf/eldarin ask!!
First off, for your influence on my DM work, I table for a party of really really new players, so a lot of them are just starting out as humans for now. To kinda get them further into the realm of exploring different worlds, I built an elf NPC somewhat inspired by your modern AU (but a little bit turned down on the sexual stuff bc I need them to not get distracted lmao), and a lot of your more general posts led me to want to explore the specific customs and practices of different elven groups, which led me down a rabbithole and now I'm trying to piece together dnd lore from the very beginning, like the genetic origins of the current species and stuff. It's been a super fun inquiry, and I have you to thank for inspiring me!!
As for your response to my ask...
DAMN. the Echoes of the Fey concept was SUPER COOL and now I really wanna look into that too bc it could work for some insane roleplay and some neat scenarios. I just love the idea of nonverbal and magical communication bc it has so much potential, and it's even better if it doesn't follow the mechanics of speech and is more based around general emotions or a different quantifying system. It's so fun to explore!!
Also oh my godddd, HUMANS AND HUMAN WORLDS AS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. My ask was all over the place but you fully caught on to exactly what I was talking about!!! Even beyond the sexual side, there's something so intimate and beautiful about removing your "higher" level methods of communication for a raw, gritty ability to just feel. The idea of essentially letting down all of those magical concepts that are inherently emotional and having to go it alone and figure it all out physically is just so, UGH. There's something there but I don't have the words to explain it (but you did, and I'm so glad you get where I'm coming from)
But yeah there's so much to explore there and I love it so much
Love ya 💜💜
I love ya too!! 🩷🩷
Also omfg using the human infatuated modern elf as a guide for your new players is a genius move.
Like this one loser high elf with a respectful facade who is just so obsessed over humans that the second they see a gaggle of new human adventure waddling around like ducks, looking at everything with shiny eyes, the elf takes an emergency holiday from their high paying job and goes to the humans.
Imagine all the pep talk they'd give themselves.
"Okay okay we got this!! We got this! We practised this before in the mirror.
All you have to do is walk up to them and introduce yourself yes yes, mention that you're a high elf and throw some elvish words around, humans love these right?
Do NOT mention the porn and do NOT ask to touch their ears no matter how adorable and tempting they look to squeeze-well maybe...if the human is willing and it's not weird right? They'd allow me to touch their ears if I asked nicely so maybe-
NO-NO NO NO. no touching ears, stay focused for Corellon's sake! It is my job to guide humans after all, yes? All those stories you read of elves guiding humanity weren't just fantasy, if the elves don't look after the humans then who will? The dwarves? HA, as if."
Then they walk up to them, pretending to be all graceful and noble like.
"Ehem! Aethen, uh, humans, right? Isee that your kind is still as lost as ever. Maethe you are in need of a guide, yes? "
They'd also be a bit protective of them, especially around other elves who call humans biir aka garbage. Having an entire argument with the other person in elvish and insulting their entire lineage before turning to the humans like nothing happened and asking if they'd like to go to a tavern? The elf's treat.
Also this elf's whole education about humans came from the Internet and half of it is misinformation. Somehow they know the most niche of medical facts about humans yet lack knowledge about the most basic things.
This is just me talking about my modern human kink high elf. Your npc was just inspired by them so I'm not expecting them to act the same or have the same concept, still this was a fun idea!
And Aaaa thank you so much <3333 you're so kind. This praise is going straight to my heart and making it bigger. Feel free to drop by anytime and share any of your human kink idea or even knowledge about elves!
Rn I'm reading about the human age boom in the forgotten realms, it is kinda interesting to think about a time where humans were far and between before literally ruling over the earth in the span of thousands of years.

TORI KELLY - "CUT"
youtube
Alex brings us some UK garage not actually from the UK...

Alex Ostroff: At the end of the first year without any regular Singles Jukebox coverage, the prospect of selecting just one track for Amnesty Week was daunting. Should I choose a fun quirky pop-rap track that reflected the continued importance of TikTok in drawing attention to new music in 2023? Or maybe a pop-country break-up anthem that draws equally from 'Tim McGraw' and 'We Belong Together' that would have been Jukebox catnip back in 2009 but can't seem to break through in 2023? Or maybe yet another British attempt to revive the spirit of R&B girl groups? Ultimately, I picked Tori Kelly's "cut" - a track that I suggested was an American big-pop-chorus approach to PinkPantheress' UK garage revivalism in an earlier Amnesty Week blurb. But while there are undeniable 2step influences here (the first single from Tori's 2023 EP samples Craig David directly), "cut" functions equally as millennium pop revivalism. Darkchild and Timbaland both get writing credits, although presumably just for the vibe that Kelly and producer Jon Bellion are trying to evoke and the ad-libs that Timbaland added when they sent him the track. For years, I couldn't tell you the first thing about Tori Kelly's music. She seemed to be one of those artists with an incredible voice who was perpetually singing as part of award show tributes, but who never settled into a clear artistic identity; cursory research indicates that she yo-yoed from a 2015 Max Martin-produced debut to two explicitly Christian gospel albums to acoustic YouTube performances. There's nothing particularly novel or boundary-pushing about "cut": a trilling acoustic guitar loop, garage drums, arpeggiated violins, Timbo mumbling in the background, Tori jumping the octave for the final chorus, an onomatopoeiac hook that tries to evoke the sound of a skipping heartbeat. But it somehow embedded itself in my brain all autumn and never let up. "cut," and the rest of this year's Tori EP, made me sit up and pay attention to Tori Kelly for the first time a full eight years into her career -- and made me actively excited to see what she does next. [9]
Katherine St Asaph: Timbaland jumping on a trend in 2023, and Tori Kelly jumping on a trend at any time, is probably a sign that the trend is on its way out. The returns haven't totally diminished, though. [6]
Micha Cavaseno: When UK garage touched US shores, a lot of the forms were unrecognizable compared to the source material -- Craig David's "Fill Me In" is one thing, but "7 Days" isn't exactly bubble & squeak. I would like to say that there was a big period of us dancing to Monsta Boy or Masters of Ceremony just so my own nerdy adolescent pursuits felt a little more valid, but no, I'm pretty sure we just listened to Blu Cantrell and that Mary J. Blige comeback record around that time. So really, I'm just fascinated at anyone from the US deciding to emulate a style that's so comparatively niche. As far as retro-UKG from the last few years, it's definitely not hitting "One Kiss" levels, nor is it even Jorja quality, but maybe that's the consequence of things getting lost in translation. [7]
Aaron Bergstrom: Tori gives it a valiant effort, but this still sounds like the batteries slowly running out on a Timbaland Speak & Spell. [4]
Taylor Alatorre: A second-string Timbaland beat scores some major points off the bench, assisted by Tori Kelly's infectious enthusiasm at being allowed on a Timbaland beat of any sort. One can choose to dismiss Tori as Ariana Grande for church moms who did the math on "34+35," or one can choose to celebrate her for that same reason. Her brand of pop soul is clean in more than one sense of the word -- witness how she skims across those challenging vocal phrases like they're beginners' exercises, or how she uses the pauses in the production to turn a lead-in to the chorus into a game of musical jump rope. Let's not agonize over the fact that the definitive slumber party music of two decades ago is now reappearing as adult contemporary; instead, let's call it incremental progress. [8]
Brad Shoup: Howling at the possibility that Timbaland is going to become a hired-gun ad-lib guy, like how a few years back everyone was hiring Nile Rodgers to strum a little. At least Nile gets some co-production credits! [6]
Nortey Dowuona: The skipping garage drums are well mixed. They slip underneath Tori's voice comfortably and bind it tightly, spinning in a dervish across the chorus. The boxy bassline synth below it is a nice counterpoint to the topline synths, which are surprisingly thinned out by reverb and EQ once the last chorus kicks in. It's a good idea and a good choice, but not something you will remember once you stop listening. [6]
Wayne Weizhen Zhang: The sound effect at the beginning of the chorus is so bizarre that multiple times while listening to this, I literally looked around to check whether there was a pipe that was emitting steam, a large man sighing slowly, or a freezer opening. Aside from that, "Cut" is expertly crafted pop reminiscent of the early 2000s, each motif stitched together tightly with Tori Kelly's adept voice. [7]
Ian Mathers: I wish they'd built out the "singing the drum part" bit into the chorus, because it's better and more distinctive than the actual chorus. [6]
Oliver Maier: Lots of fun if not especially sticky. Not often does a pop song feel like it's distinctly missing a guest rap verse, but such is the void that opens up at around 2:18. [7]
Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: "I'm glad she's having fun" is classic smug pan verbiage but this genuinely works because Tori Kelly is having a lot of fun! It still never breaks through to be anything more than really really good Timbaland/Darkchild cosplay, but I'm not sure if it aspires to anything greater either. [7]

girl sometimes I have the urge to start writing (including smut) but i actually cannot bring myself to do it like a) i feel it its gonna be mid and b) I genuinely cannot think of how to wrtie smut properly like I read all yalls other ppls stuff and Im like "damn some girl in they room write a novel Shakespeare would cry at". Im also somehow embaressed at the though of writing smut and kinda have the digital footprint fear and am afraid ppl irl would find it, so how did you feel when you started?
when i started my number one fear was definitely being scared that the people i know irl would find me, but thankfully tumblr is a niche enough app/website where i know good and well no one i know irl is gonna be on here unless they're equally as weird as me. second, i adopted a pseudonym (june is my middle name) just to further disconnect myself it because i was so embarrassed about writing smut at the time.
...
when it comes to writing it, what i find works best for me and flows best for me personally is reading the sentences in my head before i type/write them down. if a sentence flows and sounds good when you speak it, chances are it will sound good written down.
when i write, i don't try too hard to sound poetic or smart or anything like that, i try to sound moreso as real as possible. this is kinda off topic, but if youve seen the film 'little women' the scene where amy tells laurie that he's "being mean" is an example where simple language can be the most effective. "mean" is an easy word, not very descriptive, but it's what a real person would use in that situation.
i don't try to sound like anyone other than myself when i write, and sometimes that comes off juvenile, or sounds like jibberish, becomes so specific and niche that people can pinpoint exactly what i'm talking about, or is so broad that no one but me has a fucking clue.
on the digital footprint part; i promise you that unless you post some seriously concerning content that is directly connected to you, that no one is gonna come up to you and tell you "no you cant have this job because you write porn for fictional characters".
theres little to no worry surrounding someone you know irl finding your fanfiction, but rather someone who knows you from fanfiction finding you irl! but in that instance, they already know ur weird and silly so like... dont worry

20 questions for fic writers!
Thank you @septemberskye for tagging me <3
I'll tag @nijinskys @viole-n-ts @brotherhoodoftheblade and anyone who would like to do this.
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 98! (The same formatting thing happened to me too lmao) I can't believe it's almost 100. It's especially fun because it's Yuletide season and the fic authors won't get revealed until January. Which means it will probably be impossible to tell exactly which one counts as my 100th fic and somehow I like that.
2. What's your total AO3 word count? For a second I thought I would have to add it up manually. Phew. It's 457,682.
3. What fandoms do you write for? The Fetch Phillips Archives, The Dresden Files, and the Lord John Series (Outlander). Sometimes a fic here and there for other fandoms.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos? the hero's prize, A bed and a penny, whatever this may be, over the edge and out of sight, Love your enemy The popularity of a fandom or a ship + the age of the fic will always have a bigger impact on your statistics than the quality of your writing. Don't swear it too much.
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, almost always. I found many friends this way.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably "so cold". A short ficlet but it hurt lol
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?  I usually write happy endings so I can't choose ^^"
8. Do you get hate on fics? Luckily I wouldn't say I do. I've gotten some annoying grammar corrections, and deliberate misunderstandings about a ship, but nothing I would call outright hate in the comments. Oh, and there was that one guy who got their panties in a twist because I've written a male character as a witch. That was fun.
The silver lining in writing for small fandoms, rarepairs, and niche topics is that you don't get many eyes on you so you just statistically catch fewer dumbasses. But if you are getting hate, just remember: don't feed the troll. Eat the troll ;)
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes, I write all kinds of smut. Usually, my kind of smut is: - There is extensive set-up. I like to set the mood first, so unless it's a very short fic, there isn't any smut in the first 30% I would say. Even if I consider it a PWP there is usually some kind of set-up. - There are usually feelings involved. I like to focus on that, even if it's just a hook-up. - It's usually kinky. Not always, but I do write a lot of ships with inherent power dynamics or morally grey characters. And I'm happy to go all out there with the kinkyness lol
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? No. It's not my thing. But never say never because I actually have one idea for a fun little crossover...
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? OMG yes! Three of my ficlets from the Harry/Nic OTP challenge got translated to Russian and I'm so honored <3
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?  No... that idea gives me anxiety....
14. What's your all-time favorite ship? I can't answer this either. There are just too many ships that are too close to my heart. Especially since there are several rarepairs where I published either the first or most of the fics on AO3 for that ship... I simply can't choose.
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I have one unfinished WIP on AO3, "over the edge and out of sight" which I know I will never continue (but I don't even want to so I don't think it counts as an answer). After that, I've stopped putting WIPs on AO3 in general ^^" From my WIP folder, there are several that I would love to finish, but I don't think I will: - I started a translation of my super old BJR/OC (Outlander) fic but I had a really hard time getting over the embarrassment of reading my old fic - I have a few snippets of a continuation for the J/J/J series (Outlander) and it would be very fun but I'm not sure if I'll ever be in the mood to finish it - I also started a modern Enjou/Aether fic (Genshin Impact) that would be super cute but it's probably too much work compared to my investment in that fandom
16. What are your writing strengths? POV. I think I'm good at showing the POV character's personality. And I sink my teeth into that deep POV and don't let go. You won't catch me slipping into a different POV in the next paragraph, and I'm sort of proud of that.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Plot? lmao It's complicated for me. I can't come up with an intricate plot before I start writing. I need to start writing and then halfway through move the puzzle pieces around. It's difficult for me to wrap my head around it. I also think that sometimes I get so focused on setting something up that I don't realize that the reader might think I'm setting something else up if that makes sense. That's definitely an area I could improve on.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I don't like it. I'm fluent in 3 languages and I've written fic in 2. But I don't like writing or reading dialogue in another language in a fic because I think it disrupts the flow of reading. For me, it's less about the fear of making a mistake in a language that isn't my native tongue (because this one isn't, for example, lol) and it's more about worrying that it won't be enjoyable for someone who doesn't speak that language. Even if you provide translations it's just a lot of effort to scroll back and forth.
A word here and there is fine for me, or if you can cleverly convey language barriers by adding a few sentences. But otherwise, I would just rather write what language they are supposed to be speaking in.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Uh I think HP, back in high school. But that just shows my age lol
20. Favorite fic you've ever written? That is so difficult to answer. It's either "put my heart in your pocket" or "moral compass for hire".

Rules: Shuffle your 'on repeat' playlist and post the first ten tracks, then tag ten people.
Tagged by @catboyclarity THANK YOU i will always talk about music. Commentary and lyrics included because I am once again incredibly normal about music.
1.) Sleep by Slowdive - "When I see you drowning / I'll dream, dream away from you"
So apparently the version I have on my spotify is like, a reupload by a completely random user under a different name and I did not realize this was a Slowdive song until right this second. Interesting! Did not know that was allowed!
2.) Enchanting Ghost by Sufjan Stevens - "And if it pleases you to leave me, just go / Stopping you would stifle your enchanting ghost"
YEAHHH ENCHANTING GHOST!!! I was really obsessed with the All Delighted People EP a few weeks ago so I'm not surprised it's got some representation in my on repeat playlist.
3.) Two Lips - Choir Boy - "I don’t need a place to go when I give up the ghost / Tulips of the spring should grow"
Passive With Desire is a great album all around, no comments.
4.) Child I Will Hurt You - Crystal Castles - "Mercy, we abstain"
I used to be really into this album in 2013??ish. But somehow I missed this song back then, and wasn't until recently I came around to it.
5.) Big in Japan - Alphaville - "I had no illusions that I'd ever find a glimpse of / Summer's heatwave in your eyes"
This is fully because I went on a road trip with my friends and someone put this on the playlist and it was stuck in my head so I started looping it while cooking dinner one night. But really catchy song.
6.) Canine Teeth - Orchid Mantis & Fog Lake - "Tell me, what's the price of a broken dream?"
Crazy story about this one, the owner of a local record shop helped produce this album and we were totally geeking out about it together because I love both Fog Lake and Orchid Mantis.
7.) Archie, Marry Me - Alvvays - "You've expressed explicitly your contempt for matrimony"
SONG OF THE SUMMER‼️I looped this one for a good long time because it's just a satisfying listen. Those introductory lyrics are as smooth as butter.
8.) All Delighted People (Original Version) - Sufjan Stevens - "I’m not easily confused / The trouble with the storm inside us grew / But I had so much to give / In spite of all the terror and abuse"
I just KNEW something from this EP would make an appearance here again. This song is like a smaller version of Impossible Soul to me. I love the reuse of the melody from Sound of Silence, and the reinterpretation of the lyrics to be about a turbulent relationship.
9.) Leave Me Be - Choir Boy - "When we both can see / Divergence warrants no hostility"
I am once again repeating that Passive With Desire is a great album and this is my favorite song from it. It's EXTREMELY catchy you have been warned.
10.) Happy 13 - Flotation Toy Warning - "Guess we can't really choose exactly where we land / But how fast you were bound is in your own hands"
Oh man, I discovered Bluffer's Guide To The Flight Deck probably less than 48 hours ago and I'm already concerned its on my repeat. Really fun, niche album with fantastic album art (we love you seabirds).
I don't tag people usually, but if you would like to do this then please feel free to tag me back! If anyone wants more music thoughts I recently made a Rate Your Music account and there's a few things like this up there.

“Shego!”
Shego looked up from her magazine at Drakken’s tone; maybe he actually had something for her to do this time.
“What?” She shot back; bored as she might’ve been, she couldn’t appear too eager.
“We’re making moves tonight!” He said. Shego wondered if she’d missed the part where he laid out any kind of plan. History told her she hadn’t. “Once I’ve made some final modifications to the blah blah blah.”
She tuned him out and flipped the page in Fatal Fashion. Makeup tips, hair care products and seasonal trends catered toward villainesses was a niche long overdue being filled. She kept one ear open as she usually did.
“And, er, there was one other thing. Hrmnnn.”
She made a noncommittal sound of assent in the back of her throat; she’d give him snark when he finally mustered up something interesting in the way of a scheme.
“No, no, it was–aha! I love you! Yes, that’s it.”
Ooh, bulletproof nail polish. Impractical, since she’d either incinerate the firearms or knock heads together long before anything that resembled a bullet got close to her, but still; the colors suited her tastes nicely.
“Mhm.” She said distractedly.
Five seconds.
Utter silence.
She blinked.
Words on the page bled together.
Did he just say…?
SHWOOSH.
Fatal Fashion turned to ashes courtesy of involuntary plasma flareup.
She wheeled around, on her feet in one smooth motion ready to do… something.
Drakken had left the room.
Shego did a quick self-assessment of her health and took a few experimental breaths. She would’ve welcomed a sudden, life-threatening cold or flu or any other indication she’d just come out of a fever dream.
She found none. Which meant–
He dropped a bombshell with nonchalance he’d never once possessed in all the time she’d known him and just walked out. Drakken didn’t do nonchalance. He did bombastic, overwrought, hammy, rambling whether or not anyone was listening, everything dialed to eleven.
He didn’t–
Or ever–
And with–
“WHAT IS HAPPENING?!” She shrieked.
She stalked through the lair toward the lab. Any stray henchmen with the audacity to look at her earned a silent threat of having their suits burned into their skin. She hesitated at the steel doors that automatically slid open for her; she poked her head inside.
Drakken looked… normal. Insofar as a blue mad scientist with mutant plants for lab assistants could look normal. He mumbled to himself, scrutinizing and swapping out various parts of his latest whatchamacallit; acting exactly as he would if he hadn’t just made an outrageous declaration eighty-seven seconds earlier.
Somehow, that royally ticked her off.
“Drakken!”
“Gnaah!” Drakken yelped. He startled and a screwdriver flew out of his hand. One of his vines snatched the tool out of the air before it hit the floor. “Shego?”
She balled her fists, sorely tempted to bring her plasma back out.
“What. Was. That. Dr. D?” She asked through clenched teeth.
He flinched at her tone as she approached; and yet he frowned, the pinch in his unibrow conveying nothing but oblivious confusion.
“What was what?” He asked irritably. “In case you haven’t noticed, Shego, I’m in the middle of”
“You–!” She snarled. She gestured back toward the living room. “Before, you said–you professed your love to me!”
She almost had an aneurysm getting the word out. He blinked, though, and finally comprehension dawned in his face.
“Ah yes,” he said with a chuckle. “That was a load off my mind. Much clearer now that’s been aired.”
A load off–?
He’d given her stupid palpitations and made her sweat.
And it amounted to airing out a distracting thought?
Shego groaned.
“Of all the–this you decide to be blasé about?” She asked incredulously.
Drakken shrugged.
“I’m forty-two, Shego,” he said with a dismissive wave of his hand. He turned back to his little project. “Once you reach a certain age, there are some things you simply cease to invest energy in. No need to let it affect anything.”
She stared at his back, too befuddled to even be upset. No one would ever mistake Shego as the saccharine sort, but even she found that sentiment a little depressing; in part because it was coming from her boss, who’d wept over the cancellation of Snowman Hank and took his Coco Moo with extra marshmallows.
Still. Maybe that disinterest suited a villainous mindset. Maybe…
‘Wait.’
Shego narrowed her eyes; she honed in on a subtle change in hue.
She spun Drakken around and grabbed him by his collar.
“Wha–?!”
“Your ears are purple!” She said with an odd sense of satisfaction at having caught him out.
His pupils shrank; the blush tinged the rest of his face.
“So what?!” He barked, flustered.
“So this!” She retorted, yanking his face closer.
Then she punched him.
In the mouth.
With her mouth.
Somewhat gently.
Because she liked her teeth.
It was warm, and wet; it was frantic and uncoordinated. It was…
Uncomfortably pleasant.
She broke off. A faded imprint of her black lipstick lingered on his mouth. The rush of blood under his skin had turned him into an eggplant.
POOF.
His daisy petals exploded outward around his head.
She smirked.
“Unaffected, huh?” She taunted, feeling superbly triumphant.
“I,” Drakken stuttered. His voice went half an octave higher and slightly reedy. “That was predicated upon the assumption that you were going to refuse any affections.”
Shego blinked.
“Oh.”
She realized she hadn’t let go of him; she set him down, killing the impulse to straighten his collar before she did anything that brought more heat crawling up her neck. Drakken broke eye contact first, and she spun on her heel, but didn’t move toward the door.
“Ehm,” he said. He cleared his throat. “So, ah, dinner before or after our, er, outing?”
“After.” She said immediately. She needed air.
“All right,” he said hastily. She walked, didn’t run, for the exit. “I’ll have the table set for our return.”
She cast a look over her shoulder; they usually ate at the same time, but rarely together, and even then, only with her on the couch and him in his chair while they watched something mindless on TV. Never at anything as formal as the dinner table.
“Okay.”
