Comissions for Fanfiction: OPEN

I know I'm a nobody and mediocre at writing, but would anyone be interested in commissioning me fanfics for like five euros/dollars/pounds? I know the value isn't the same but it's close enough for me not to care. I really need money to pay for medication and therapy and trips to the city to get said therapy. The fiver would be for anything from 1k to 5k words. Anything longer would go up to +1 per 1k words. I sell it cheap because it's low quality stuff, you know like those shitty bracelets that are dirt cheap and break at the smallest breeze? Yeah that's the vibe.

Ao3 users are ForestFish and HopeaLumi. I would post the prompts in the first one, which is kind of a side account that I got because I wanted to transfer one fanfic from my main to another account.

Anyway. Feel free to check my stuff, maybe have a gander through the shorter fics to see how I write, but if you want it in a different narrative tense (e.g. present tense), style (e.g. poetic prose), etc., I can also do that).

If you're interested shoot me a message via chat or something and we can discuss the details. I can write for any fandom. Just tell me what characters you want and how YOU personally would like them written and/or how you perceive them.

That's what I read these days. The second edition of "The Crow" is awesome! I've always wanted to have that comic book. Many years ago it was unavailable in my country. I'm very happy I was able to buy it. I love the movie with Brandon Lee and I think the "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven" with Marc Dacascos was also great. I adore the mood of "The Crow" - dark, depressing, bitter. But on the other hand there is a spark of light in that darkness and some hope among despair. I don't know if I can say the comic book and the movie are gothic. Is there something you can call truly gothic? Although I used to wear black and so on, I've never considered myself a goth. I think I was drifting somewhere between classic goth, cyber goth and visual kei. Well, it was long time ago. And The Cure's "Burn" is still one of my favourite songs.

As for "Sentou Yousei Yukikaze" I really liked the anime so I decided to read the book as well. The MC, Rei Fukai is pretty much alike my own OC, Tristan. And it's not what you think - I had created my character before I watched the anime of read the book, so any similarities are purely coincidental. There are some great dogfights and nice music in the anime. I just love to fly! As a kid I wanted to become a fighter pilot. Ah, just a silly dream, but being up in the sky feels so amazing. Travelling by plane is not exactly that special feeling but I like it anyway. Flying a glider is definitely more exciting. It's more "private" since you're the only passenger and the cockpit is very small. The canopy allows you to see everything around and it almost feels like you are one with the sky and clouds. I really miss that feeling. "Yukikaze" somehow brought back those memories, although I'm not really fond of the stories or movies about aliens.

Though this may not serve fans who cannot read the language, it is nonetheless a step forward that these novels can now be easily accessed if you live overseas.

Things I randomly find while mucking around in old folders. #2

I went on a much needed backup/archiving spree today, and while looking for more stuff to archive I came across the Na wo motsu kaze no hon/Blue & Purple artbook for the Yukikaze OVA. This is from way back and to be honest I mostly just drooled over the mech designs and never actually read it - so while I knew it contained the screenplay for episode 5 of the OVA, I never, until now, noticed that it’s an earlier version, and it contains things that never made it into the final version.

Rei talks a lot more, for one (he’s a bit more like his novel self). Things are spelled out more clearly and in more detail. If there’s anyone out there who still remembers this anime and knows Japanese I definitely recommed reading this screenplay. 

And there’s the original(? earlier, anyway) version of the last scene where Lynn Jackson (aka ”Jean Rickson”) interviews Jack after all is done and the dust had settled. And Jack has this to say, in a very quick & dirty translation:

This is not the best analogy, but... it’s like, if a fairy from legends was born as a human by accident he'd find it pretty stifling, right?

I loved him, and I thought that in his own way he loved me too. But whether that was really the case... I don’t know how to say this. (wry smile) I'm sure that a non-fiction author like you will come up with a better way to put it.

(breathes in) Still, I'd like to think that I'll see him again some day.

I mean. It’s not like it wasn’t blindingly obvious from the final version, but I guess it’s nice to see that he was in fact aware of it. (And Jean/Lynn is like, “oh don't worry, he hasn't forgotten you, now that the passage is closed it's only our feelings that connect us!☆” Poor, poor Jack.)

(This version also makes it more obvious that Jack had wanted Rei to come and live with him after the war, he just couldn’t find the courage to ask him.)
