I'm planning out an Honour mode run(which will also be origin Astarion run) and I was wondering if you have any tips for it? All my characters will be multiclassers and I'm planning which weapons and armor to use, but I'm just curious what someone with probably one thousand hours in the game thinks could help
Ironically, I just this week beat the Honor Mode with a friend of mine, hee hee.
Alright, so here goes!
My Personal Team Comp
Paladin/Fighter (My buddy)
Paladin/Fighter (Astarion at first, Minthara later)
Storm Sorcerer (Karlach for me but it could be anyone, really, I was just trying to get the dating achievement- Karlach is actually a terrible Sorcerer because her race gives her smite spells...which she can't use effectively, as a staff user...)
Ranger/ Rogue/ Fighter (Me)
Reasoning:
Two frontliners is always good, to keep the aggro off of the squishier half of the party. Plus, the melee classes get to hit multiple times, which is just, insanely good, and lets you destroy targets. Paladin is obviously the most broken class, but a Paladin Fighter is a great multi class for Action Surge and Battle Maneuvers! Make sure to grab Disarming Attack and prioritize stealing weapons so enemies can't hit you very hard anymore!
You might want to have some kind of Rogue, for sneak attack, and disengage potential as well! Good for long range picks, and quick killing of high priority targets. Plus, two frontliners make it so you always have advantage.
And you of course need an AOE spellcaster of some kind. I think the Warlock is pretty powerful, mostly because of Eldritch Blast and Hunger of Hadar cheese, but the Sorcerer is the strongest magic caster with all their excellent Metamagic passives. They can also regain a lot of spell slots and have a ridiculous DPS output. But Hunger of Hadar is an excellent spell; it is without question the BEST AOE spell in the game.
The key to beating BG3 in any mode is to make distance.
Force your enemies through tight choke points stuffed with magical obstacles and just pick them off as they try to get through.
Hunger of Hadar is broken because not only are they blind, but they're also SLOWED and you get ADVANTAGE on them when they're in it, AND it does damage, AND as I mentioned before, you can throw them back INTO it when they try to get out with Eldritch Blast, which is also just excellent for throwing enemies away from you.
So Sorcerer or Warlock are excellent choices, but I personally have more of an affinity for Sorcerer.
Now.
Why Storm Sorceror specifically?
Because they get the best passives. People say Draco Sorcerers are the best, but their passive is only helpful early on. The Storm Sorcerer passive lets you cast FLY as a bonus action every time you use a level 1 or higher spell! The disengage potential is critical for Honor Mode, plus it's great for just repositioning whenever you want. Plus you get excellent passives like Heart of the Storm, AND you get immunity to multiple damage types, instead of just one!
Why the Ranger/Rogue/Fighter?
Check out this guy's comp, which I used. It is insanely powerful.
youtube
You can dual wield two one handed crossbows, and just SHRED everything you come across.
I was literally playing with two paladins and I WAS HITTING HARDER THAN THEM.
Ranger gives you dread ambusher, then you can hit TWICE as a melee class, which the Rogue doesn't get, and then you can get Action Surge, and do it all over again, PLUS as a thief subclass, you have two bonus actions, for your offhand attacks!
It's honestly broken as fuck, and it's perfect for the long range, disengage potential.
Now you have my suggested comp. Keep in mind that you can have just about anything you want, but remember, two frontliners, at least one magic caster with dps potential, and then the fourth should ideally be a long range specialist.
Now then...
I recommend you pick the Dark Urge.
Why?
For a million reasons.
It is MUCH easier to 1v1 Orin in the end rather than kill the whole Temple and deal with her bullshit Unstoppable nonsense.
You want the deathstalker mantle, which is insanely good for rogues, and everything in general
You WANT To kill Isobel so you can have the Slayer Form, which will get you out of tight spots, plus it makes Orin even easier to deal with.
You also want access to Bhaalist armor for accepting Bhaal as your master.
Also, you want to accept Bhaal so you can get Power Word Kill, a very useful one time use ability, which can uh, hint hint, be used on the Netherbrain to end the game very quickly
You also want to have the Bhaalist buff, which helps you crit more during the final battle.
But this now segues into...
Equipment
Now, if you're the Dark Urge...do not kill Alfira.
Knock her out every day in Act 1 until Quil Grootslang takes her place!
You want the robe Alfira will give you in Act 2 for saving the tieflings from Moonrise! It's called the Potent Robe and it's GREAT for sorcerers! But you can have both it AND the Deathstalker mantle so long as you're vigilant and knock her out every day!
Just be careful, because Arron will kill you if he catches you! So try to knock her out in one hit, if you can. Put the game in turn based mode, if you must! Or use sneak attack.
Other equipment:
Spellsparkler! Insanely broken for Sorcerers and magic missile users. You can use it till the end of the game.
Make sure to get the staff Lorroakan is hoarding inside Sorcerous Sundries! It gives you Kereshka's Favor, which is excellent for Storm Sorcerers.
Also make sure your final feat as a Sorcerer is Dual Wielding, because if you dual wield that staff AND Cazador's staff, you get the abilities of both staffs! You can also use something other than Cazador's staff, and use Arcane Battery twice! So you can cast something ridiculous like, say, Disintegrate, more times than should be allowed! Also, there are like, two amulets and one staff that will allow you to regain spell slots! Make sure to gather as many as you can. Sorry I can't name them off the top of my head... I know one is a pearl necklace that you can buy from Omeluum, one is Caitlin's staff, and the other one you can get from the Warden in Moonrise...make sure to grab them so you can restore spell slots. Oh, also, if you do the House of Hope...you can grab the staff that's in his secret treasure room! Which is also great.
Make sure to buy the Risky Ring from Araj! It gives you advantage on EVERY attack, it just also gives you disadvantage on all saving throws...but if you give it to a rogue, and they have the deathstalker mantle, then they don't have to worrry about being hit ever, lol, plus they have sneak attack ALWAYS. no allies next to enemies required!!! it's a broken item, so definitely grab it from Araj in Act 2!
If you have two heavy armor wearers, use the mold from the Grymforge Heavy Scale mail twice. Make sure to then replace one of them with Ketheric armor later on.
You also want the aformentioned Bhaalist equipment. The Bhaalist amulet is great, as is the Bhaalist armor you can buy from the dragon seller in Sarevok's chamber.
Speaking of Sarevok, kill his ass! You want his excellent sword and helmet.
If you're feeling brave, kill Ansur too, because his helmet is awesome, as is his sword, but be careful! That lightning bitch is an honor mode run killer! I've almost lost two runs to him.
Even though he's hard, I do recommend killing Raphael! The Constitution amulet, the gauntlets of hill giant strength, and the staff in his treasure room are really worth it.
And uh.
Yeah!
Good luck!
Let me know if you have any more specific questions, and trust me.
I know...way too much about this game.
But this is just my starting guide!!
I had a blast in Honor Mode, I bet you will too!
Oh.
And don't kill Gortash. Not because he's my boyfriend or anything, but because, he's not really worth fighting, especially not for the loot he gives you!
If you must kill him, do it at the Morphic Pool instead of Wyrm's Rock!!!

The discourse around Alicent, Aegon, Dyana, and Rhaenyra is frustrating for various reasons, including the fact that it has spawned some pretty hideous takes. But the one that I've been thinking about lately is this fairly popular one -
"Rhaenyra didn't raise her sons to be rapists!"
No, Rhaenyra didn't instill the belief in Jace and Luke that it was ever permissible to force themselves upon a serving girl. Neither did Alicent for that matter. I could see this idea about her as having some validity if HOTD had some scenes in episode 6 and 7 where Alicent is depicted being cruel or abusive to the staff, and because of that Aegon internalised that and it made him believe he didn't owe them respect. But there are none such.
But anyway regardless of how you personally feel about these characters, it is a stupid take because it completely ignores some pretty important factors that would have influenced Rhaenyra on certain things, even if only subconsciously.
Like Alicent, Rhaenyra is a highborn woman living in a deeply patriarchal society. She might be the first heir apparent to the Iron Throne (Aerea Targaryen was only ever meant to be heir presumptive until Maegor and then Jaehaerys sired a son) but she isn't immune to being negatively affected by this system. A good example would be that scene in the godswood with Rhaenys, where they talk about Baela being Jace's future queen and her sons inheriting the Throne after him.
And because of this, there really is nothing to suggest to me that Rhaenyra wouldn't believe or accept that once Jace and Luke were wed to Daemon's daughters, that they would not be entitled to bed their wives whenever they wanted, and that Baela and Rhaena should "do their duty" everytime regardless if they actually wanted to, or not.
And yeah to put it bluntly, that's not a good thing. It should be scrutinised. It should be condemned.
I know that people will bring up Rhaenyra's own experience with Laenor as a counterpoint, but I'm sorry this completely falls flat when remembering her conversation with Daemon at Driftmark. She puts an end to her relations with Laenor because there was "no joy" in it. That's a completely fine reason on its own, but based on the wording it suggests the fact that Laenor's own personal feelings (that is not wanting to sleep with his wife) is less important or not important at all/wasn't a deciding factor. Rhaenyra talking about how it was joyless also brings up interesting implications.
What if Rhaenyra had been physically attracted to Laenor, in the way she was to Criston and Harwin? What if in a parallel to her own father and the men of their world who enjoy bedding their wives, what if she was able to find sex with Laenor satisfying? If she did, I'm sorry- but how relevant would Laenor's feelings/consent be then?
But anyway, getting back to the point due to the societal expectations that Rhaenyra would have raised her sons with, like any other noblewoman, completely contradicts or at least challenges it. This is not meant to be an indictement of Rhaenyra. How can you teach your sons differently if the system doesn't allow you to? How can you recongize that your daughters have every right to refuse their husbands sex, even if you would wholeheartedly support it, when it wasn't taught to you?
Like ultimately, if people want to be critical of the way Alicent handled the situation with Dyana, they have every right because that's their opinion.
But try to use some sense and honesty, as well.

nabrrie replied to your post "I thought I was the only one who was weirded out by…”
@ingravinoveritas thanks for the answer and sorry for the rant in your askbox, but your blog feels like a safe place. I wouldn't discuss this on other socials bc I don't have the strength to deal with GT fans. To be an unplanned child is a topic that I still discuss in therapy, so seeing it treated so lightly by a mother as excuse to brag about her sex life disturbed me. Interesting that who claims it's wrong to ship D/M bc it's disrespectful to the kids is ok with this. And for that matter, she’s not a high school girl bragging about her boyfriend. The “I shagged DT and you didn’t” attitude is immature and out of place. You’re having sex with your husband… so? We know that you’re married. David is handsome and fans can be creepy sometimes, but she’s an actress, her father was the Doctor - she must know very well how to deal with the fans. I’m sorry if she feels insecure, but I don’t think she’s handling this very well. And, if she does feel insecure, I don’t think it’s about a bunch of strangers online… And you’re right, no mention of the word love whatsoever… (end of the rant, sorry)
@nabrrie No need to apologize at all! I'm glad you felt safe enough to rant in my inbox. The fact that people are refusing to see anything wrong with that caption solely because it was Georgia who posted it is disturbing to me. (I even saw one person say "If this was anyone else I would be disgusted, but Georgia is an icon.") If your first instinct is to be disgusted by that caption, it should not matter who wrote it. It should not matter that it's "British humor" because humor being British doesn't mean it also can't be wildly unfunny or even hurtful. And it's wildly hypocritical to me that these fans who rail against RPF and say how it could harm their children are the same fans who have no problem with Georgia writing a caption like that.
I've said this before, but it bears repeating: Georgia should not be immune from criticism simply because she is David's wife, or because she is an ally to the LGBTQ community. Being an ally does not mean someone can't be rude or a jerk, because human beings are complicated and can be more than one thing at a time. Calling her out for using her kid's birthday post as an excuse to brag about her own sex life is not some outrageous act--it's a reasonable response, particularly from people such as yourself who have experienced the consequences of being an unplanned child.
It's amazing to me how people have read things into her caption, or made assumptions because of it based on what they want to believe her and David's relationship is. I've seen people say it meant "They were madly in love when they had me," but the word "love" was never used anywhere in that caption. They were madly in drunk when they had her (or at least Georgia was), and that's all it takes to have a baby--two people having sex, whether they are in love or not. And at the end of the day, that is what her caption was actually about: Georgia letting us know that she is having sex with David and the rest of us are not.
But she clearly is insecure, because it looks like she actually did respond to one of the numerous tweets criticizing her this morning:
Tumblr media
So, let's take a step back here. She's over on Insta bragging about getting to shag David and how great their sex life is, but instead of actually shagging him, she is searching for her name on Twitter again and taking the time to respond to stuff like this. The paradox is quite something, really.
Also, the fact that she does not or cannot recognize that what she said in that caption is not normal seems to indicate that she thinks she can say and do whatever shes wants, regardless of who it affects or whether it sends her kids out into the world with a very skewed idea of what is "normal." Interestingly, though, I don't think we can say that she doesn't care what people think, because if she didn't, she wouldn't be searching her name (again) and looking for comments to which she can respond.
Whatever the case may be, I agree with you that whatever has her feeling insecure has nothing to do with people online (@irvinis has volunteered a particularly interesting theory on your original Ask). And for someone who has dealt with fans for so many years (as you also mentioned), she definitely is not handling this in the way you would expect. I guess we'll have to see if she pushes back against any of the other critical comments...

Can I request headcannons with poly vbs reader who's like wonyoung from ive?
Tumblr media
(Job and appearance wise)
hcs - vvbs w/a wonyoung-like reader
Tumblr media
an: you bet your ass you can !! i saw wonyoung and did a little jump for joy (mentally)
tags: somewhat-feminine!reader, idol!reader, reader's a member of more more jump! or some adjacent j-pop group, ppl give idol!reader shit (much like wonyoung) but they handle it like the slayboss they are
Tumblr media
🎀 okay first of all
🎧 bc you're wonyoung-like i have to clarify that yes, ppl on the internet criticize you for no fucking reason ! not cool but it izz what it izz
🍓 you don't let it bother you because you're just Better Than That (plus you're rich, loved, and confident, why should you?)
🎀 assume you're a very popular, well-liked member of mmj! and you've had a pretty large following from a past career as a soloist
🎧 i hc an and akito as big idol fans (akito would rather die than have you find out he used to be a die-hard fan of yours, posters and merch and all stashed in his closet), so they'd definitely support you at gigs and performances!! front row seats and banners babeyyyy
🍓 kohane doesn't really listen to idol music and toya... is toya. but they'd prefer to watch you dance/dance with you!! especially during the rare moments when your normally-PACKED schedule is empty for once !!
🎀 watch you three be stuck in the company practice rooms for hours on end (assuming akito and an join later/for less time since they're Busy doing Stuff . yeah)
🎧 now for specifics !!
🍓 akito defends you from antis online . user ynlover123? that's him [he has multiple side accounts on every social media you can think of]
🎀 every time a clip of you doing something random but Cutely (like wony's little happy dance and the video of her eating a strawberry) you get So Much shit for it. god forbid a girl (g/n) do anything
🎧 Haters be hating 😂
🍓 an is a full on fansite dude (idk why but she seems like a photographer to me. i haven't played through the vvbs story don't @ me)
🎀 fansign? concert in tokyo? popup event? coffee shop event? private performance? she's there with her big ahh camera and filters and light boxes
🎧 you think you look ridiculous in the pictures she takes but to Literally Everyone Else you look ethereal !! like that one relatively recent pic of wony at the airport - everyone (but you) goes wild bc. yeah
🍓 kohane and toya are there to comfort you and make sure you take care of yourself when things get rough
🎀 ik that sounds generic and bland as hell but HEAR ME OUT !!!
🎧 i hc kohane is like a walking heater!! she gives the best hugs that make you never wanna get up from bed (best lazy day partner fr)
🍓 toya isn't a good cook but he'd try to make snacks and your favorite food for you !! good thing you had to take acting classes bc ... he could've tried harder 🗿
🎀 thankfully he can at least cut fruit without losing a limb, so in classic asian mom fashion, he brings you plates of fruit when you're feeling down - he and kohane make sure you finish it all (and kohane sneaks some pieces while toya's not looking 😁)
🎧 (tbf she looks like a squirrel bc of how chubby her cheeks are - im not immune to the kohane rodent agenda)
🍓 all in all i feel like it'd be a really understanding relationship with poly!vvbs - they're dancers so they get how tiring it is, and especially with industry-induced worries, they'd be there to support you and make you feel loved no matter what!

I'm genuinely grateful Lily is too ignorant, too uneducated and too willfully so to know about Central Asians so I don't have to hear her shit takes on my part of the world. The way she talks about East Asians alone is disgusting and the way she talks about black people is undisguised dehumanization. I genuinely wish she wouldn't talk about races other than her own white one because she has such ugly, misinformed, willfully bad-faith takes on other people. It's especially repulsive because she then talks over real people of those races while holding up her black OC as if writing one makes her a great person and makes up for what she's said.
I do have a question I was hoping you could help me with, though. How do we normie, non-YouTubers fight fandom racism? Like, the Lily brand where she won't shut up about white characters, acts like writing a black OC makes you immune from criticism, etc. How do we as normal people amplify black voices (and Southeast and East Asian voices, since she's talked over them) and avoid becoming yet another fan who says they're progressive but don't do anything to help anyone? I want to be part of the solution, not the problem.
fight it when you see it is the very first step. people liking a white character is not a thing that anyone can realistically fight and get any results, but you can pin point the double standard when a POC character is treated harsher, completely ignored or dismissed for no real good reason. i already gave this example, but on the TOH fandom this was exactly what was happening when Camila made Luz promise that the next time she came back she'd stay on the human real. at the time the fandom reacted to this insisting that Camila was a bad mother, borderline abusive even, and Eda (the white woman) was the best and only mother Luz should stay with. LO expecting a black child to get over everything that happened to her and turn into a vengeful violent fighter out of the blue... that's racism, because, and i want to emphasize this, i have never seen her treat any other white protagonist child on the same way. not even steven. she of course hates steven because she thinks he's a sanctimonious perpetual pacifist through which Sugar wants to forgive nazis and abusers, but i don't remember her ever dismissing his emotional responses and keep going at it with the same viciousness she has for Luz. have you noticed too that she never has this same "advice" for Amity regarding her mom, even though she was actually abusive? on the Encanto fandom, when people want to treat the grandma as a monster without a heart and willfully ignore how her actions are based on a trauma response. those are all examples of fandom racism and you need to identify it like it is. if you ask the question "would this people react the same way if this character was white and nothing else changed about them", and the answer is no, then it's necessary to point that out. once you do understand what the issue is and how it perpetuates the same racism in which POC are never enough or have to be extraordinary to receive half of the attention that other characters get, then is when you can pass to other actions which should include: -elevate POC characters and help to their visibility. make fanart for them or share it from other artists, especially POC ones. write for them, have fun with them, enjoy them as the characters they are. -elevate POC voices in fandom. people who write metas about fandom racism already always need new eyes. the biggest mistake of LO about this regard is that she openly admits she stick to only one single black content creator and doesn't look to any other, completely missing the many other POC fans that have been speaking and begging to be listened to for decades, since fandom first was invented. try to diggest what those people are saying and share it, donate to them even if it's possible. -this should be obvious, but just in case... try to inform yourself on regular everyday racism so you're able to call it out when possible. for this, likewise, you'll need to hear and read a lot of different authors. you don't have to agree with all of them right away, but at least try to see what they're sayin and, more importantly, why they're saying it. these are just people. regular and normal people who all want the same dignity, same compassion and same understanding that you or anyone else wants when it comes to talking about something that actually hurt them, not tools to be used or quoted just so you can look "woke" for social clout. respect that experience even if you personally can't understand it. this is also something that LO just tends to forget way too much. -finally... just be kind to yourself while you're learning, because the fact you want to learn does matter and that'll come through.

10 Characters and 10 Fandoms
I was hoping this day would not come. I had hoped I would fly free and clear from having to choose between all the people trapped in my television. But alas...I can avoid it no longer...thanks @lurkingshan
Cause here is the thing, when I think of what drives me batshit, crawling up the wall, tearing at the curtains it is not the characters but the dynamics that I love and cherish.
Rules: name 10 of your favourite characters from 10 different fandoms, then tag 10 people to do the same.
So I guess, without further ado, and in no particular order, here are 10 of my faves and why
Wen Kexing - Word of Honor
Tumblr media
I mean...this one seems pretty obvious (coughs in username) but this is my dumb slut, okay? He's beauty, he's grace, he's got Zhou Zishu Derangement Syndrome harder than anyone.
Wen Kexing, how do I love you? Let me count the ways:
Unhinged
Fashion Icon
Crazy Bastard Man
Yi Baiyi's Number One Nuisance
Gay As Hell
And most importantly HE HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING WRONG IN HIS LIFE.
Not Once. Not Ever.
Akk - The Eclipse
Tumblr media
Oh Akk, my favorite little war criminal. If I had to pick one single favorite character, it's my boy.
Can't put my finger on why but for some reason I am obsessed with this emotionally repressed gay boy who has difficulty accepting himself and feels pressured to perform actions far outside what a teenager should be allowed to do because adults put pressure on him and because he doesn't want people to be disappointed in him...
Unlike Wen Kexing, Akk has done many things wrong, but he's my sweet cheese, good time boy, and he deserves to be harassed by his rat bastard boyfriend at all times. He's learned, he's grown, he's free of Suppalo and I want nothing but the best for him forever and alwas.
Jim Jimenez - Our Flag Means Death
Tumblr media
Ohhhhh Jim. The Swagger, The Sex Appeal, The Being The Only Competent Member of Stede's Crew. I mean, what is not to love about The Orphan Raised By Nun Grandmother To Be a Killer?
As a fellow Studier Of The Blade, I would welcome the chance to let Jim kill me. Besides the fact they would lay waste to many, as an enby, they automatically earn a spot in my favs list.
Guillermo de la Cruz - What We Do In The Shadows
Tumblr media
Tumblr Users, name a sexier character that Guillermo de la Cruz. That's right! YOU CAN'T!
Gay, serial killer...mmm you know what I'm beginning to sense a trend in my favs list...
eh, we can unpack that later!
My lovely, bumbling, dumbass with posession of the only brain cell in the household. So bright and smiley in the beginning you almost forget that he is 10 years in to literally hunting people to feed to his best friends/mortal enemies/family/tormenters/employers/bumbling idiots that stole him away from Panera Bread. There is no greater personification of the Duality of Man than the man who can lay waste to an entire theatre full of vampires and also spending literal hours closing every possible loophole in Nandor's Dick Length Wish. No greater personification of the Duality of Man than the man who can best Nandor in a gay little fight, and then immediately get pushed into a coffin and shipped to England.
Keyleth - Critical Role
Tumblr media
My beloved, all powerful awkward disaster of a Druid. Keyleth helped me through some difficult fucking parts of my life, and I really appreciate how heavily Marisha allowed Keyleth to embrace and exert her anger where it needed to be released. I love how Keyleth can both bring a building down with her bare hands (literally) and turn into a goldfish and splatter along the rocks (also literally)
I love when character who are hurt or in pain or grieving continue to be kind, and I love when that composure starts to slip.
Ellie Williams - The Last of Us
Tumblr media
I love my baby dyke with all my heart. She's a killer, she's a track star, she makes grown men weep and young kids laugh. She's immune from being mushroomified, and she horrifies Joel's Southern Table Manner Sensibilities. What more can you ask for out of a character?
Tankhun Theerapanyakul- KinnPorsche
Tumblr media
Serves cunt.
Kaz Brekkar - Six of Crows
Tumblr media
Kaz Brekkar is the walking contradiction, and that is why I love him.
Kaz, External Monologue: murder. murder. crime. crime. heist. heist. fuck pekka.
Kaz, Internal Monologue: Inej. Inej. Inej. Inej. Inej. Inej. Inej.
There is just something so juicy about a character who yearns desperately to touch, to hold, to love and is physically incapable of doing so. Also like, shout out to having disabled characters in media of all forms
Raine Whispers - Owl House
Tumblr media
Again, enby, therefore automatically on the fucking list. But also like. COME ON. Look at them. They are so precious, they are so awkward, and they are so badass. This motherfucker can't talk on a stage to save their life, but can lead a goddamn rebel organization?
ALSO LIKE, LET'S DISCUSS THE FUCKING WHISTLE AND THE MONTHS OF FAKING MIND CONTROL?!?!?!??!?! Y'all seriously want to sit here and not claim them as a fav? Okay, but couldn't be me :)
Zuko - Avatar: The Last Airbender
Tumblr media
It's Zuko. Need I say more? I will never not love Zuko because I lived through his redemption arc live on my TV. I went from hating this motherfucker's guts to truly deeply loving him in real time and that's all I have to say on that. He's a runner, he's a track star, he's a war criminal, and a baby girl, and truly is the king of kings for doing one nice thing and nearly dying from fever about it.
Well, this has made me realize that most of my favs are gay murderers. Teehee. Please never make me choose my favorite characters again.
If someone tags me in one of these, ask me to do my Top 10 Character Dynamics, please I beg you!!!!1
Tagging:
@bengiyo , @shortpplfedup , @kyr-kun-chan , @moonspiritmars

Also you don't have to forgive people for what they did to you during their addiction but you should exercise your critical thinking skills a bit and have the decency of honoring the complexities of addiction.
I'm now older than my ex bf was when he died of an overdose and I still have two minds about what happened during our relationship because it hurt me. My mother was absent because of her addiction and I miss her so much but I also am incredibly disturbed by what she let happen in our home.
It's taken months of therapy to even begin scratching the surface of forgiveness. Yes! It's incredibly fucking hard! However I am not immune to bad behaviour nor addiction. No one is. I feel that while drug use might enable bad behaviour because, well, it does some really intense things to your brain, at the same time that gives more reason to extend compassion than not wouldn't it?? I don't think it's easy for people to get this because it's easier to latch onto "drug users are bad" than it is to step back from our personal grievances and gauge the full scope of a person's humanness. People love heuristics. I'm people. And I still struggle with this. And I'm working on it.

rant because I’m pissed off at the world: (TW: domestic abuse)
if you ever believed johnny depp you have no critical thinking skills sorry because yes there was propaganda but if you’re that easily manipulated by a couple of tiktoks then that is a sign you need to start using your brain a bit more because the evidence she was innocent was right there the whole time. So either you have no ability to form your own thoughts and just followed what everyone else was saying without bothering to find information for yourself, or you actively enjoyed harassing and mocking a DV survivor. Like you can’t just turn around now and say “oh society has messed up I was manipulated” because some of us saw those hateful things against her and actually made the effort to think about it and look into it more before forming an opinion.
Also for people saying now “oh they were both bad” mutual abuse is not a thing and the idea that it is is very harmful to survivors and even if it was mutual abuse (which again - literally impossible) you should still be outraged that she lost (because mutual abuse would mean she wasn’t lying in the article) and outraged that she received about 10x as much vitriol than he did.
I still see people spreading and saying stupid shit that they’ve see in other comments like “oh she was caught lying” or “oh but he admitted his faults but she claimed to have never done anything” when those things are simply not true but you see it in a comment somewhere and for some reason unequivocally believe it.
People claim to be feminists or progressives but still have opinions and biases which influence how they see cases like this, but many people don’t understand domestic abuse. So instead of listening to abuse experts telling you she’s the victim and he’s the abuser you watch ‘body language’ (a pseudoscience based on: nothing) videos and listen to the opinions of lawtubers who just want to make money (which they clearly aren’t making being a lawyer since they have that much time to spend making videos and tweets about a case they’re not involved with.) And then you claim to have watched the trial but don’t know the most basic things that happened or only watched his arguments in the trial (just look at the views of her teams part of the trial versus his) or watched through a biased streamer or commentator telling you what to think.
Just because you aren’t your great aunt believeing anti-vax things on Facebook and supporting trump does not mean you are immune to propaganda. And many in this generation seem to think they are but then go say “my dog stepped on a bee😂😂😂😂😂😂” and then act like they formed an anti-Amber opinion based on fact they obviously looked into and not because tiktok and Facebook told them to believe that. But the fact that some people are changing their minds now is telling. So maybe next time use your critical thinking skills whilst something is happening not months after because this type of shit keeps happening, and this is probably the worst and most extreme example.
Not to mention a lot of the initial propaganda and misleading information and pro-depp stuff was pushed by right-wing people and companies and MRAs (aka huge misogynists). And everyone bought into it. And then started spreading it even more! This case has given many people a gateway into these things and anti-feminist ideas, ideas of lying whores etc. have spread so much more and become more normal. And that is what these disgusting right-wing misogynists wanted; to get more people on there side but in an entertaining subtle way people would buy into so they could spoon feed them their anti-women, anti-‘woke’ views. A big reason for the publicity of this case is just societal backlash to the me-too movement. ‘Me-too has gone too far’ they say but not much has really changed that’s made a big impact and it’s all gone backwards now because so many fell for it, because your hatred for amber (and your hatred for women you were putting into hating amber) was more fun for you. This has been an MRAs wet dream. You are on the same side as Ben Shapiro in this. That should tell you all you need to know about the real reason this case has become so popular. Because they paid (literally: the daily wire put 10s of thousands of dollars into pro-depp propaganda) to make you think he was innocent, in order to push their right wing misogynistic ideas. And so many fell for it.
I’m not gonna go into why she’s innocent or the evidence rn but you can find it in many places and it is obvious to anyone with a brain she is telling the truth. Unless you would rather believe she fortified evidence of abuse since 2012, got people to go along with it (with no trace that she did this) just to not take all the money she was entitled to in the divorce, and then only use any of the evidence to write one vague op-Ed in which no details were even brought up up, than believe a known substance abuser may have hit his significantly, younger, less-powerful wife a few times, in which case I don’t know what to say to you. Johnny Depp is a truly evil, despicable man. Hopefullyy amber will win her appeal and get the justice she deserves. Imagine being her sat in a court room with your abuser and a bunch of his fans, a jury who will decide your fate, with millions at home mocking you and tearing you to shreds whilst you recall traumatic instances, then walking out to people screaming horrible things at you. I could not do it. Nor could most people.
I don’t wanna hear “we all owe Amber an apology” because who is we? I, and many others have always been on her side.

1.) love your blog!
2.) the Kate crisis has shown that the internet is vast and no one is immune to conspiracy theories. Which is why it is more important than ever for institutions with insane soft/ hard power and sway - like the BrF- should work with and uplift reputable journalistic outlets and avoid what a monarchy in the 21st century can become when they use 19th century comms. And that the women and kids in these institutions need to be safeguarded in a much different way because disturbingly, the conspiracies always come for these groups. H&M and their kids especially, but now also kate and her children.
3.) very random but were Carole radziwill and Caroline Kennedy ever relatively close? I’m doing a rhony rewatch and I love and miss Carole so much and loved how she was herself but didn’t cash in on the gossip and tea she surely had and has.
Aww thank you so much!
This was the perfect example of how conspiracies don’t come out of nowhere and even though most times they are false and not to be taken seriously, there’s a reason why they start and part of that is lack of information/misinformation. The comms teams need to be able to adapt and take the temperature of the public instead of just doing what they've always done and thinking it'll continue to work. Something else that's been interesting is the difference between BP and KP, Charles and Camilla's team seems to understand that the public needs to have updates and be in on what is going on. KP PR seems to not understand that updates and "signs of life" do not have to be direct medical updates, so many people have suggested this but something I think could have been a good post would have been a photo of a collection of the get well soon cards and then the caption is "Thank you for all of the support! I hope to express my gratitude in person when I am able. - C". There is a balance between not keeping medical information private and keeping the public posted on progress, they severely missed the mark and were acting like in order to avoid this they had to reveal what the surgery was and exactly what was happening and that's not true, they just had to be a little more creative and they could not do that obviously and when it got out of hand they floundered. They didn’t shield Kate from criticism, they actually made her the target for the criticism and gave people more ammunition to go after her and create insane theories.
I do not know how close Carole and Caroline are now, I do know that Caroline was Carole's maid of honor and she gave Anthony's eulogy at his funeral so I think they were close at one point. I’m sure Carole could have spilled a lot but she didn’t and I respect her for that. There was enough messiness in her time on the show I think they needed someone like her to balance things out yk.

The post about Celine Dion being groomed also kinda rubs me the wrong way. Don’t get me wrong, the details of her relationship with her husband are icky and he’s not immune to criticism but unless Celine wants to share her story, what’s the point in dredging up uncomfortable stuff like this? Especially if Celine isn’t asking anyone to advocate for her or seeking justice. I understand the importance in calling out predatory behavior but it seems like that’s all they do sometimes, especially for people who have not indicated they were a victim. They do the same thing with Beyoncé.
i had to go look at what you were referencing, and see, THIS IS WHY I HAVE TO STAY OFF OF THERE BC IT STRESSES ME OUT, how. HOW. do they not see how utterly heinous and cruel and unfair it is to forcibly label someone a victim of abuse, when they have no right to say that and the person being called that has never once claimed abuse themselves? we've had this discussion here several times lately for various reasons, but i find it despicable. it is NO ONE'S right to call someone a victim when they've spoken of their own life and never used those terms, it in and of itself is victimizing them! i don't care if you personally think a dynamic is weird and icky, that's fine, but that doesn't give any of us the right to declare it abusive. "believe victims" should never equate to "call people victims without their consent," and as i said recently, what this actually does is strip people of their agency and remove them from their own lives. it is decentering their voices. don't they see how patronizing and harmful that is, to essentially erase someone's voice of their own experience, pat them on the head, and go, "aw, you don't even know you were a victim. sad." it's not helping anyone, it's not advocating for real change or protection of real victims, it's just belittling. and it also puts an undue burden and stress on someone, as if she's supposed to speak up and call out her deceased husband, whom she loved, and the father of her children, for the internet's thirst to have a villain predator in a story that makes them uncomfortable. absolutely not. she deserves more credit and dignity than that. (as do others, particularly women, who this discussion has been plastered on). in a different, but very related, conversation the other day, a friend of mine said this, and she was right:

I wrote ‘I don’t care about radical feminism — this is a blog about using German Idealism to theorize yuri manga.’ — but this is false. If yuri manga is an artistic creation, then it must be an attempt to formulate a new world: something like: a world in which love between women, maybe love as such, is possible, emancipated from false oppositions and conflicts, free from ideology. As such, terf ideology, or radical feminism, is entirely in opposition to this goal. As such, a definite response is required of me (if only for myself).
The reason I wrote out that ‘I don’t care’ is because I have demons inside me, and they absolutely do not stop dialoguing; it means ‘I should not care’: the statement was a note-to-self, an attempt to persuade the demons that the matter was not important and did not require a tortuous exercise in going through the arguments nonstop for the next few days — but this attempt was doomed to fail. It was also the plea of a sickly coward — but now it is a short reprieve and brief strategic retreat. I should have known better: the only way out is through.
So I have to write an essay. The following is blood-letting: terf ideology is a miserable wasting-sickness and I am not immune to poison. It can, however, work its way through my system, and now after much pain from having to think through the animating force of what is effectively a roaming hate mob, I am getting the impure blood out onto the page along with my newly formed antibodies:
My initial suspicion was that terfs rely on the same idea of women's reducibility to a child bearing mechanism that misogynists do. I wanted to know where they would go after having this idea refuted, so I posted something to provoke a reaction. The responses were almost a perfect exposé of repression responses: from flat denial, to substitutions and all too hasty acceptance (you can go read them yourself if you have the stomach for it). There was however one interaction I had which got me what I wanted.
It is well known, I know, but one of them stated it for me: the only thing true of woman generally (universally) is her oppression. This allows the terf to maintain the claim that transwomen are not woman: because she has not experienced this oppression — the sophistry of this is dealt with later — which the lack of a womb was used for in the reductionist position. But to affirm that the mark of a woman is her position as oppressed, also affirms the the position of the oppressor, that is, it affirms that men are superior to women. The symptoms of this belief have been observed in various places (the complaint about that transwoman pressing the button too fast on Jeopardy comes to my mind): though the empirical proofs are nice for convincing, the point is made merely by recognising that it is the necessary result of identifying directly with one’s own enslavement. I am sure the ‘marxists’ among them believe this to be a marxist point — and maybe I would too if I understood nothing about marxism: what defines the revolutionary subject is its potential for revolution (and self abolition), not its exclusion and immiseration (this is Nietzsche's criticism of Emile Zola: that he is in love with the ‘filth’, the misery of the working class’ conditions; it is something Zizek warns about contra the ecstasy of mass unrest events — that is, it is something also leftists fall into).
Now, is it true that a transwoman is not a woman if she has not experienced the oppression that every woman has burned into her being?: if a transwoman is a woman, then in exactly the same sense is transmisogyny misogyny. To then claim that what a transwoman experiences is not misogyny (and that therefore she is not a woman) is just the same thing as saying she is not a woman in the first place, and no ‘proof’ has been provided of this claim. Furthermore, one is trying to claim that a cause is the result of its effect: if one recognises the logical error here, one is forced to reverse the relation and we are back to the first claim (that she is oppressed because she is a woman, not a woman because she is oppressed, and our reductionist must once again claim that a woman is reducible to her reproductive organs if they want to exclude transwoman). Here is the logical refutation of the postmodern historicist terf — for those of us who need it — but again, it is probably more convincing to refer to the practical refutation. The identification of woman as the subject of oppression simply means ressentiment: What an absolutely miserable ‘emancipatory’ politics (to avoid a misunderstanding: yes, you have to recognise your enslavement, to create class consciousness, et cetera— this is not the problem, again, it is necessary to create a positive affirmation of freedom — or else you are simply being negatively determined by the old master and you will re-enact exactly that).
Compared to this slave-morality historicism, I even prefer the idea that woman is essentially a child birther — atleast this involves the notion of ‘creation’ and positivity — but, because I am not a biological reductionist, I do not need draw the conclusion that the destiny of (actually existing) women is to bear a man’s child, nor that a woman need be capable of physically bearing children at all. This is what ‘dialectical materialism’ means: I have access to the spiritual without mystifying it, and I can understand the past as merely fuel for the future: that it is to be turned into fuel.
After the revolution, in the new world and when all signification is changed, perhaps it will be possible for a woman to love another woman without (even beyond violence) the haunting malignancy of accusations ‘fake’ or ‘just the foolishness of youth’, and also without carrying the suspicion of being ‘staged for the male gaze and fetishistic’ — all of this is our aim to abolish.
What does it mean to be a ‘woman’ in this world? We cannot know (if the new world really is new, this means it is not understandable in the terms of the old world, i.e., with ‘old’ terms), but we can pick up traces of this future in our present through the various struggles for emancipation. That is, fundamentally, the struggle for woman’s liberation and the struggle for trans liberation, and all struggles which have whatever particular emancipation as their ultimate goal, must be in the end united by this shared future. There must be cooperation and reciprocal developments and solidarity. (There may be some ambiguity ‘Don’t fascists have their own struggle for liberation?’, but this assumes that any struggle is indistinguishable from any other. The word ‘stuggle’ means something very specific here, and there is such a thing as a false struggle, that is, if it is based on a lie, e.g., anti-semitism: so no, terfs are not involved in this same struggle — and so much should be obvious from the above exposition of the problematic nature of that ideology in any case).
The major work is done now: probably I go too quickly through some of the arguments, but this is really just to get it out of me and I am growing anemic and tired of it (I hope the reader can use it and put whatever pieces they need together themselves. This much is sufficient for my purposes. I am not interested in discussing this — think whatever you want, my mind is already made up: I wish to be free of this poison.
Some final notes just because they are still swimming around my mind:
i) The reference to chromosomes as the definition of woman and man does not work: aside from the ambiguities involved, it is too abstract: there is no lived experience of the chromosome and thus it is impotent as a political call to action. It functions purely as an identifier for other biological reductionists because this is its ultimate reference.
ii) The omnipresent claim that a woman is an ‘adult human female’ is entirely vapid and an obvious dog whistle. No one was confused about this in the first place, it appears stupidly obvious — that means it involves ideology to mean anything at all. The only possible site of new content in this ‘definition’ is the word ‘female’ which includes an implicit reference to biology. Again, it is simply reductionism and a signal to other reductionists — and you should be tired of it too. The stench of analytical philosophy makes me nauseous: I am sure they consider these 'necessary and sufficient conditions'.
iii) One may ask me: ‘You argue what a woman is not: very well, but then what is a woman? (Surely you will reveal your true colours as a misogynist in doing so).’ A woman is defined by a set of logical formulas which are constitutive of a certain composition of the structure which is the psyche (unconscious). A man is the same thing. The next question is: ‘What is the relation between these two structures (how are they different)? The answer is: there is no relation between the sexes, there is no sexual relationship, ‘il ne pas du rapport sexuelle’ — Lacan. It is psychoanalytic theory — outside the scope of my need to refute and state purpose. Finally, ‘Isn’t this just as abstract as a reference to chromosomes?’ — the logical formulas can be used, put into practice, that is, they can be — practiced.
This will be the last thing I write about terfs or radical feminism barring some extraordinary circumstances.
Friends and allies: remember that you are not immune to poison either. For the lost souls, such as myself, we need pretty things to look at and flowers to smell, and fresh air in our lungs. We need healthy bodies if we are to struggle at all. Now — think about something else.

Here is the masterlist of this series!
✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤✤
"I have heard that some villages are suffering from a plague, do you know what is going on?" Bosacius asks.
"It is an outbreak of Reuca, I am already trying to get around the situation. But it won't be easy." You say with a tired sigh.
Bosacius looks at you with a frightened, pragmatic and worried expression all at the same time.
"I think in a few days I can contain it, don't worry too much." You say trying to sound confident, because frankly you felt quite apprehensive about the situation.
"I can help you with whatever you need. You know I can handle things here and anything else you need. Don't overwhelm yourself." He says gently advising you.
You nod.
And today, besides having to take care of Reuca's problem, you would have to get some more medicine. Currently you had not made any progress in the recovery of your companions, Bosacius seemed to have been a case apart, maybe some specific component helped him to wake up, but that unfortunately was not a pattern. Indarias had moved and had small reactions, but nothing out of the ordinary, or out of what you had seen over the years.
And as expected, it would take you a lot longer to figure out how to get them to wake up, but there was something you noticed that bothered you. Maybe because of the close contact you had with them, you had passed on some kind of disease, like Reuca, for example. You were not immune to it, the thing is that it was just some minor effects, at least none of the Yaksha got sick because of it. The same little marks that were characteristic of the disease were appearing on the others, which could easily become a big problem just because they were incredibly fragile.
This was all the more reason to try some drug that could make them better before it was too late.
"I remember Verr Goldet said he wanted to talk to you. You should come see her.”He says, patting you on the back in a comforting way. Funny how he could sense that you were worried about something.
You then head for the reception desk where Verr Goldet spent most of her time, and as soon as she saw you, she said. "I was just looking for you, I remember you had ordered some sweet flowers. They arrived this morning.” She says pointing to a package beside her.
"Thank you, how can I pay you?" You ask her.
"Don't worry dear, what you do is already enough. Since you are leaving, I will leave them in your room." She says with a kind smile.
You thanked her, and as soon as your back was turned she added. "Oh, I almost forgot, Baizhu is waiting for you downstairs."
It was not a good sign, Baizhu would not come here in person for nothing. And from the bad news that was already circulating, you didn't expect him to be the provider of a good one.
"Did something happen?" You ask him cautiously.
"I needed to talk to you personally, I suppose you are already aware of the recurring situation we are going through.” From his tone it was already possible to understand the gravity that things were taking.
"About what specifically? Do you mean Reuca?" You'd rather let him get started than misunderstand him.
"The cases are already spreading to the smaller villages, but I have already detected some in the city. I would like to know if you are already aware of the situation.”Baizhu asked you, and you noticed that he had some dark circles under his eyes and a tired look on his face. An indication that things were not good indeed.
"Yes I am, I just found out a few days ago. I asked Zhongli to talk to you about it, I don't know if he said so. But I'm already trying to fix the situation, don't worry.” You say, sitting down next to him.
"I wish I wasn't upset by this situation, however things are already more critical than you can imagine."
"Do you already have a solution? I mean, something partial. I remember that before there was no way to combat this.”
"Getting some medicine, along with herbal remedies that can at least minimize the effects. But I still don't know if it's going to be enough to keep the patients alive, but I'm doing my best.”He says in almost a way of consoling himself and standing his ground. Still you could sense that he was nervous about the situation, you could imagine the pressure he was under.
"So it's an experimental method? I can try to help you, at least to find some components. I can't make them because it would be lethal, you know that anything I make is too strong for humans.” You said upset with yourself, not that it was your fault, but surely with the knowledge you had you could help in some way.
"I think you'd better handle this situation first, things around town are already overloaded enough as it is. We're already having to set up some emergency clinics, and this took me by surprise."
You gave a light sigh, it's not like you didn't expect this to happen, but it was still a redundant situation. But on top of all this, there was something or someone who was spreading the disease even further, and even with your investigations you hadn't found an adequate answer to that, with so many problems at once it was difficult to focus on just one.
"I have to get back to my work, I have many patients to see today. I just came to see if you were already aware of the situation.” He says getting up and preparing to leave.
You nodded and he said goodbye, you remained seated while pondering some things.
You had thought about going to the Harbor to contact Liyue's Qixing about the situation, it might make things easier since they could properly warn people about what was going on. But at the same time telling everyone might not be the best idea, besides causing a buzz among the people, it might drive away the real person responsible for the situation.
However, people would have to take the necessary precautions not to make it bigger and more problematic, you yourself had already noticed that the mining activity had increased in the last few days, precisely because of the stones that had a high value. Even if there were warnings, or even old stories about the evils of Lumiar stone, most didn't care, because they thought it was just stories to scare children. A pity they thought that way, because of human frailty, they should be much more careful.
Even for you it was something dangerous, you felt exhausted just by spending a long time near the stone, imagine the effect it would have on even weaker beings. What you could do to prevent at least a little bit the situation from getting worse, is to use a portion of your power to prohibit many ordinary civilians from getting close to dangerous areas, by doing some manual interventions.
Making some stone piles or even creating an unpleasant atmosphere so that people would move away quickly. In the short term it worked, but then everyone came back. Besides, it wasn't as if only one area was the source of the problem, there were many places, and this made it easier for events to spread.
Your first decision was to go after some herbs to try to help Baizhu, as well as to see if the situation was under control at certain points. You headed for the Guili plains, after some Violetgrass. It didn't take long before you reached the place, but instead of going to get the plants, you saw the same red-haired man who used to talk to Morax, this Fatui.
He was talking to some of his subordinates, and you sneaked closer to try to listen to the conversation. It wasn't every day that you could get any kind of relevant information that easily. You managed to hear a thing or two, but they were more frivolous things than anything really useful.
"Well, well, look who we have here." Childe turns to you with utter contempt.
He ordered the others to disperse, and they did. Soon there were only the two of you.
"You're the stranger here. What are you doing here?" You return the question to him.
He laughed cynically and then answered, "I'm just a citizen of Liyue, there's nothing wrong with me.”
Before you could answer him, your eyes were fixed on the package he was holding. Apparently some medicine bottles, but what was he doing with them?
"That caught your attention? Want to see what it is?" He picks up a bottle and hands it to you.
You accept it a little suspicious, make a quick evaluation. On the package insert it said it was a specific treatment for diseases that were not so common, and one of these diseases was Reuca, followed by a few others that affected various regions of Teyvat.
"So? I can be a kind person and give this to you, and a pretty easy solution to your problems, isn't it?" He says pridefully.
Automatically you realized what he was talking about, selling a solution like that, when you were almost certain that the Fatui were to blame. How do you make a problem and give the solution? It doesn't make any sense.
"But will you give it to me for free? Don't try to make a fool of me, I know that you have your price." You say.
"Now, how hard is it to accept an act of kindness coming from me? I just want to help." He says, alternating between an offended and a kind tone.
You looked him up and down with narrowed eyes, there was nothing suspicious about him. Other than the fact that he was a Fatui, but nothing more aggravating than that. It was obvious that he didn't want to help just because he wanted to, there was something more to it all, although it was still too early for you to make an opinion about anything.
"Come on, are you going to accept or not? Remember that you have a lot at stake if you don't accept." Behind the common tone, there was an open threat.
"If I don't want to accept, what will you do? Don't threaten me, because if I were you I would think twice before doing it." You threaten him back, it wasn't as if you had forgotten that if you wanted to finish him off here and now, you could safely do so.
He laughed and ran one hand through his hair, then put his hands around his waist and looked at you strangely, as if he were watching a competition before his eyes. It wasn't a simple contest, but one that he would do anything to win, and obviously he wouldn't hesitate to use force if necessary, because that was exactly what he wanted to do.
"I'm here in a good mood trying to offer you help, if you don't want it that's your problem. But I'm not leaving here empty handed either." He posed in a more withdrawn manner, as if ready to attack.
"Be honest and I won't do anything against you, I just need you to tell me why you are helping me. You know that's not your job, on the contrary."
And he laughed out loud, as if he had heard an extremely pleasant joke. It was intriguing how he seemed to enjoy the situation. And instead of speaking he opened the bag he was carrying, allowing you to see how many medicinal herbs he had, besides several ready-made remedies. There were also many flowers that could help in the manufacturing of remedies.
"I guess that speaks for itself, doesn't it?" He says proudly, even smugly.
You dared to touch things, and looked deeper into them. You had not heard of this type of medicine, the components were clearly from other regions, like Inazuma or even Sumeru. Besides the other materials, some were regional but most were not, everything seemed perfectly elaborate. It wasn't as if there was anything strange about the compounds, but it was also unusual for the very people causing the problem to come up with the solution. Which left you with a bad feeling about the whole thing.
"I accept." You say calmly.
He even opened his mouth to speak, possibly to provoke you, but closed it immediately and looked at you a bit dumbfounded.
"I'll keep this, I hope you really aren't up to something, Childe." You say, collecting everything and getting ready to take it with you.
"You're just going to take it? No complaints or anything?" For some reason he sounded disappointed, and you don't understand, isn't that what he wanted from the start?
"Don't tell me you're giving up now? Wasn't that exactly your purpose in coming here?" You ask him.
He looked a little disconcerted, but soon returned to his normal posture. "Of course, that's exactly what I came here for." He seemed to be trying to find a way to speak without sounding frustrated.
"Good. I'll take this with me, and I'll still keep an eye on you. I hope we don't have any kind of problem." You say authoritatively, as a way of reminding him who you were.
He didn't respond, and you didn't wait for him to respond either. Then you turned your back and walked away.
You can't help but think that this could easily be something to trick you. It's not as if that possibility is out of the question, you would still have to see the components of the medicines and test their effects, and if this really was a solution, you would take them to Baizhu immediately.
But again, that would take at least two days, or someone with the stamina to withstand the effects if it was something bad. And as crazy as it sounds, you could only think of one person, Morax. Maybe he wouldn't accept it, but it wouldn't hurt to try, since it was Liyue's people who were at stake, there was a good chance he would let it be.
You just had to find him and explain this situation, and also talk about the strange interaction you had with Childe. For sure he knew something else, he had many acquaintances there, so for sure he knew something else.
So you took the packages to a safe place and picked up some copies of the medicine. You were going to head for the port of Liyue, but ended up meeting Morax there in the vicinity of the Guili plains. He didn't see you, he was collecting a few things on the ground, like some minerals. You slowly walked up to him, with a certain curiosity to see what he was doing.
"It's such a surprise to find you here, I thought you used to avoid this place." You say to him, who quickly turns and looks at you.
"I have no reason to avoid coming to this place. What happened before doesn't matter. Although I am more interested in the fact that I found you here, besides the fact that you came to talk to me quietly.” He says with a certain sincerity in his tone.
You decide not to beat around the bush and get to the point. "I need you to do me a favor." You say to him, and try not to use a tone that might cause strangeness.
"What specifically?" He asks quite curious.
You looked at him puzzled while still thinking of a way to say it that didn't sound so adverse.
"I got some medicine, and I'd like to test it. And I would like to be able to test it on you.” You say softly and quietly.
He looked at you grumpily, and took a moment to process what you had said.
"Are you kidding or what? You don't think I'm just going to ingest something you have done, do you?”
"That's not it, these remedies could be the cure for Reuca. But I'm still uncertain, and I need to do it as soon as possible.” You try to make it sound less worse. Not that Morax would suffer any major consequences, but of course he needed to take precautions.
"Where did you get this?" He says, pointing to the vial you were holding in your hands.
You didn't think now would be the right time to say who gave it to you, so it was easier to say you had worked something out with the help of some alchemists. It would be easier for him to believe you.
"I did some tests, and this was the best I could do. And like I said, I can't use it directly on people, I don't know what side effects it might have. So to speed up the process I thought you could help.”
He looked at you analytically, you hadn't responded the way he wanted you to. And to make matters worse you were a terrible liar, and he knew it. He gave a hearty laugh, and took the medicine you had in hand. You didn't react, just stared at him with astonishment, he didn't seem offended now.
"You can be genial when you want to be. I can't even imagine where you got all that stuff to make this medicine.” He says as he passes the vial between his fingers, looking at it cautiously.
"I have my ways, being honest it wasn't hard to find." Your voice intoned in an unsure way, even you didn't know why you was nervous about lying. It's not like anything serious was going to happen.
"I know you, I know well that you must have worked it out on your own."
You wouldn't tell him the origin of the remedy because you yourself didn't even know if it was really functional, besides Morax and Childe were incredibly close, which caused you a certain aversion. So you wanted to try to play a double game, trying to get information from both sides.
"So? Are you going to accept or not, we can solve this very quickly.” You take the medicine from his hands.
He didn't answer but reminded you of an important point that could help. "Actually, do you remember a blessing that was left long ago? In the vicinity of Qingce Village."
And quickly you remembered the events, an ancient Goddess who when she died left a blessing in the Qingce lands. When gods were killed they could use the remaining power for something good or bad, but this goddess chose to use it to benefit Qingce village, the place where she was born and raised. It was the reason that the land there was so productive and fertile, and there was a rumor that those who were sick could recover from the aura that emanated from the very place where the goddess died.
Not only this, but it was also said that herbs and remedies had a stronger and more effective effect if used in the benevolence that the Goddess had left. But this rumor disappeared over the years, as her power weakened. But the elders still talked about it, at least that's what you heard the last time you went to the village.
"Maybe I can rekindle her power?" You ask him.
"I believe so, but it might be dangerous. There are high chances of having some maleficent power coming from it." It is even if it had some risk, still in a strange way you did not feel that you could be seriously hurt if Morax were around.
Even though there might be some remnant of Karma, you were the only one who could deal with that problem, since Morax was not able to solve it. This was the main difference between you and him, and the reason he needed you to remain in charge of this kind of situation.
"If that's a solution, I think we can try."
Maybe if the power left by the Goddess was strong again like before, the medicines could become stronger, even more effective. And if things worked, people could usurp it to their advantage.
"Can you still do that kind of thing? I thought it was outdated for you.” In the background of his voice there was a certain amusement.
"What are you implying? If you're not even outdated, why would I think that?” You say, sounding mischievous.
And he gave you a sincere little smile, you could imagine that he liked these little interactions. Because you always returned his teasing.
"I accept your proposal. You can do whatever tests you want with me.” And you couldn't feel a hint of insecurity in his voice.
You gave a low chuckle, who knew that someday you would be able to do that sort of thing with him freely. But at the same time you were surprised that he accepted it so easily. In the end you agreed that you would go to the village at nightfall, which would still take a while to happen. But you couldn't deny that you had a certain anxiety to see what this situation would provide.
What was left was to wait cautiously, and use the time you had to prepare properly.

As usual, here's the Gauntlet sweep, with some discussion of Variety Lorelei's performance.
General Overview For full disclosure, all of this is 1/5 Lorelei.  I put in the 7500 gems, and am not yet ready to hand her candy, although I will admit, candy would change her entire life by miles.  Hilariously, not for any of the reasons I suspected.
The CS clear indicated something critical to me: Variety Lorelei functions best when she's completing the setup, not doing all of it.  MPRs are not her friend, because she needs to be attacking to heal.  MPR on her trainer move in particular does very little, and double Endurance would require her to hold off on using it until later, which rarely comes into play.  This maintains.  However, the more interesting angle is that under no composition was I going man.  I sure wish Lorelei could debuff defense right now.  Instead, the concern was usual "Oh god I sure hope this heals like three times, and recharges all five gauges."
Lorelei is slow as shit and her base healing is wildly inconsistent despite okay odds.  Inconsistency in these two factors means that she feels like she most wants the consistent aspects of First Aid 4 and Fleet Feet, to solve her tendency to get run over and inability to sustain gauge in Gauntlet.  Punishing Strike, even aside from its inconsistency, is just...not what she most wants.  No team was struggling because of lack of defense drops; they struggled because Lorelei can't heal them, and can't sustain herself.  Barring one comp, it's not the optimal pick.  First Aid/Healthy Healing/Fleet Feet is.  Trainer Move MPR can be used, but it should only be when your ally cannot buff crit rate at all.  Having Vigilance on grid would also have been massive, because it's the biggest distinguishing feature from Bruno.  Status Immunity or Head Start changes a ton for Lorelei.
Basically, Lorelei in CS doesn't get much time to attack, and is really there for a quick three-turn rotation. MPR on X Atk All is nice just for Fleet Feet boosts, but is otherwise non-essential. Lorelei in Gauntlet really craves consistent healing and gauge control, and the defense drops do not at all feel like her best trait.
Vs. Tapu Bulu I decided to bring Nate, as someone who can buff himself to cap but is in need of help.  Tech Kangaskhan helps out with defense drops and flinch rate.  As you can tell from the HP, the team handles it fine.  Lorelei is surprisingly good against Bulu, thanks to her high defense, ability to heal, and most importantly, Protect against Wood Hammer.  A few well-timed flinches can go a long way.  Nate, as usual, is not too impressive.  I want him to have help, because they all deserve it, but if it's much better than Caitlin's I'm gonna be mad.
Vs. Uxie This is the dumbest one.  Initially, I tried with Halloween Morty.  The reason for this is, base Morty's main attack is special, and his sync involves boosted evasion.  Which means he has to use his trainer move repeatedly anyway, and Lorelei isn't saving time.  But physical ghosts are rare, so my only other options were Acerola (no), or Halloween Morty.  And H!Morty at 1/5 was not doing it.  A large part of the issue is constant healing and the pressure of MP.  If Uxie isn't burned (bar 2), you don't regenerate MP, and Morty literally cannot harm the opponent.  Which sucks, and is game-ruining.  So, back to base Morty.  Who is a lot better, even if it's sub-optimal.  This is the only instance where Lorelei's defense debuffs would have been nice.
Vs. Azelf Bug is another pretty bad type to play with Lorelei.  Noland and Guzma are both options that appreciate the boost, but their sync nukes aren't exactly spectacular, and Azelf is fast-acting, so the entire team relies on sleep chaining anyway.  Which I always feel is a bit less...useful.  Agatha was chosen for the speed buffing, which...this team is slow.  It's a problem.
Vs. Latios Apparently it's a base Iris kinda day.  Iris actually does pretty well against Latios' fight, taking down the sides with some ease, and trucking Latios itself.  I brought Wulfric for some disruption.  His sync on the last bar dealt like 9k.  It was super sad.  I tried to get an Avalanche in to see his DPS, and Iris killed it before he could.  So...oops, I guess.
Vs. Moltres I tried this with someone like Cynthia and it wasn't really working.  The timing is atrocious.  So instead, we have to do this with good old flinch under Sun.  Roark rules, and Whitney has enough speed to actually handle the gauge.  That said, if we could get Fleet Feet on Lorelei, this would've been even stronger.
Vs. Regirock Another Whitney combo.  Gloria has Sharp Entry and Fierce Entry 2, meaning Lorelei perfectly caps her needs.  Gloria's damage output is tremendous for this fight; her grid expansion at 4/5 really did significantly bolster her damage.  That said, flinch is still necessary, and gauges are a rough time with Gloria, so Whitney and her speed buffs are ideal.
Vs. Terrakion Courtney is a solid partner to V!Lorelei, as Lorelei provides literally every stat boost that Courtney needs with minimal issue.  The problem is gauge.  Again.  Pep Rally.  Janine was brought along because I'm so very tired of flinch, and the Venom Drench approach seemed sound.  Unfortunately, Terrakion still hits like a truck, and Lorelei dropped.  Because 1/5 and no consistent healing.  You get the idea.
Vs. Cobalion This was, by far, the scariest, and the most easily fixed by Lorelei having better options.  Poison Jab is a non-issue with Status Immunity.  First Aid 4 alone would've kept her from dropping so early.  No problems would exist if she had this.  Anyway.  Silver's another solid pick, because she can cap out the needed offenses for him, conserving his second trainer move for an SEUN application in Bar 2 to avoid full burn immunity.  I mean.  Obviously it didn't turn out that way.  But you know.  Thought that counts.
Vs. Latias Champion Iris is another one of those fantastic, almost ideal picks to partner with Lorelei.  One use of her trainer move is +2 Atk/+1 crit, which is exactly what Lorelei supplements to cap.  This was also the funniest run I've ever had, because Iris just kept OHKOing Latias on sync, while Kangaskhan flinched the sides.
Vs. Entei Lodge Silver is another ideal partner to Lorelei, needing her exact buffing kit to succeed.  Tech Lickitung is also a great partner, thanks to Screech debuffs and the Trap condition to set up Interference Sync 5.  There's nothing particularly special about this clear, but I think Silver does well with Lorelei, and this is one of the instances where Lickitung could've been swapped for any Confuse/Trap pair, and Lorelei's defense debuffing could have been useful.
Vs. Tornadus And finally, Tornadus.  I hate this fight.  I initially thought about BP Sophocles, but Wild Charge kills him quick, and there's no healing.  So, I had to pick a different physical option, and it's like...N is fine on self-setup, Sophocles needs crit she can't provide, so I guess it's Marnie.  An important note, my Marnie is 2/5 non-EX, so her sync is sad because she's got nothing behind it, please understand.  That said, it was enough to get the job done.  Marnie's pretty solid as a partner, needing only one use of trainer move for the +1 crit and +2 attack while in Hangry mode, while Aura Wheel's speed buffs help out.  Nanu was brought along to debuff, since Marnie's Hostile Environment 5 on Thundershock leaves it with a 60% rate.  Which is why it missed the paralysis so often.

It's a very specific form of bigotry when binary trans women declare that they are the ultimate experts on all things regarding being trans and bigotry against trans people and as these self-proclaimed experts declare that nonbinary people either straight up don't exist
(which is not only exorsexist but in many cases blatantly and explicitly racist when they're erasing the non-white-western-binary genders of oppressed cultures who have suffered genocides)
or claim that if we do exist, well we are not oppressed in any specific or exclusive ways, and if you even use the word exorsexism or talk about exorsexism or even hint that binary trans people have any privilege over nonbinary people in any way you are a transmisogynist because apparently nonbinary people talking about how we're oppressed....means we're silencing trans women somehow. Anikd makes us misogynists.
And a lot of (but not all of) the ones who do this are white. Middle class, went to collage and haven't spent the rest of their life in debt for it.
Like, blogs like "transmisogynyexplained" explicitly fucking declare that trans women are the ultimate experts on all forms of transmisia and gender-based oppression and therefore exorsexism isn't real and nonbinary people have no specific oppression.
Julia Serano's whole entire fucking theory of trans women being The Most Oppressed™ literally required that she straight up fucking lie about what trans men experience, and declaire that nonbinary people aren't real and the ONLY reason the white western gender binary is so prevalent these days is because it's the only REAL system of gender that's natural.
Because apparently white people comitting multiple ongoing genocides against indiginous peoples and their cultures including violently suppressing their cultural non-white-western-binary genders, never happened. It's just simply that everyone's brain is either hardwired male or female from birth, and anyone who claims otherwise is a transmisogynist who wants to feel superior to trans women in particular.
But no one ever fucking talks about this shit because if you do you are immediately labeled a transmisogynist because criticizing any trans women, no matter how blatantly transmisic, exorsexist, or white supremacist she's being, means you're a transmisogynist now and criticizing her is the exact same thing as committing a hate crime -.-
Just because you're a woman doesn't make you the ultimate expert on oppression. You do not get to speak over or erase other people and pretend you are the expert on oppression you literally do not experience.
No, trans women, especially binary trans women, are not the ultimate experts on all forms of transmisia. They are not the fucking authority on whether or not trans men are oppressed or if nonbinary people even fucking exist.
If you think being trans or being a woman means you're the ultimate authority on who is and is not oppressed in what ways, you're just a fucking bigot who's just as bad as all the other so-called "feminists" who throw everyone else under the bus to get what they want.
No one is immune to being a bigot, no, not even trans women. Being oppressed in one way does not mean you can never be a bigot. And if you're gonna pretend I'm "making up trans women to be mad about" you can personally pay me the fucking $40 I spent on Julia Serano's books because no one bothered to warn me how unapologetically and explicitly racist, exorsexist, and transandromisic they are.
If you aren't willing to call out bigoted trans women when they're being blatantly racist, exorsexist, and transandromisic, you're not a fucking ally to any trans people. No one is above fucking reproach, and don't you motherfuckers dare act like criticizing a trans woman for any reason is a fucking hatecrime. You are fucking pathetic and bigoted and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I’m not trying to be mean here just curious because I know you’ve mentioned that even in rape, you don’t believe a woman should choose an abortion but what happens after the baby is born? I don’t really see a lot of pro life activists fight for stronger sentences for rapists politically, or to prevent them from claiming parental rights.. in the u.s here there are states where rapists do have parental rights. Like rapists can just ruin your life and choose the mother of their child whether that woman has other plans or not. I have a sister and a cousin who got pregnant from rape. My cousin miscarried but my sister didn’t. She was studying to be a doctor…Her rapist forced her to visit him in prison. She has to endure his calls, his face, his voice, how he had no remorse for ruining for life and body (she lost teeth and lot of hair from pregnancy and alot of other complications)…. He successfully sued for visitation rights. So she had her rapist continue to hurt her for a lifetime. He only stayed in jail for a short while like less than a year. When it was time to pay child support? He left. My sister has attempted suicide too many times and her story isn’t unique or special… but nothing is done to protect her or other girls like her. He basically put her through hell just because he could and he found it hilarious. Adoption wasn’t an option either since both parents had to agree and he refused every time for no reason than to force her to see him. Like he got off to the fact that she was so broken form this whole thing…The cruelty was the point…. It was evil.
Tumblr media
The staple of pro life stance is that no life is conditional to the circumstances where it begins. And yes, it includes rape. But as the screenshot perfectly elaborates, while rape represents a very low percentage of pregnancy made of rape, it is still inevitably brought up in the discourse as some sort ot totem of immunity against any criticism of abortion culture.
I'll never understand why pro choicers assume being pro lifer meant being the mule of every cause tangent to child bearing. I never saw people expect lung cancer doctors to rally against the cigarette or car industry, or nutritionnists to campaign against fast food companies. But pro lifers? they HAVE to be on the forefront of activism calling out the crooked judiciary system allowing rapist to have their way with their victims, they have to fix the adoption system, address systemic racism and sexual abuse (as if abortion would fix any of that....) - I literally got a pro choicer once tell me to do something about the MILITARY?? seriously??
If these issues were that important for you, you would take action yourselves and stop throwing out them out at pro lifers as an argument. I am deeply sorry for what happened to your sister and cousin, but I can't understand how a child living is remotely responsible of the wack justice system allowing such things to happen. Fathers trying to ruin their (former) girlfriend & children's life isn't necessarily rooted in rape. Prolifers aren't mules having to carry every single issue in society. We are simply advocation for everyone being able to live, regardless of their "flawed" birthing circumstances or upbringing. Nothing more, nothing less.
