do you ever think about how buck was able to pull and lift eddie to safety, while eddie wasn’t able to either pull or lift buck? like I know the physics were different and eddie would be able to pull and lift buck under the same circumstances that buck did it, it was just impossible to lift him up onto the ladder in contrast to doing the standing lift buck did to get him into the firetruck but still WHAT A FUCKED UP PARALLEL to incorporate both pulling and lifting again *screams into hands* (also to have both of those instances in the shooting be the only times eddie is making noises of pain, which while horrifying to hear were also indicators that eddie is still very much alive to feel it, while buck was just quiet and dead, but that’s another kind of fucked up)

The Christmas fic currently stands at 63,121 words. And I'm not halfway done. It's been a while since I posted any words from it, since it's been a while since I've written any words so enjoy this longer excerpt. Instead of Sunday Six sentences it's like Sunday Six paragraphs lol

Someone knocked at the door. “Clint?” It was Phil fucking Coulson himself. Clint gripped the edge of the sink, wondering if Phil would freak out if Clint pulled him into the bathroom and shoved him against the wall. How thin were these walls anyway? “Get a grip, Barton.” Clint glared at himself in the mirror. Phil was hot. This was an indelible fact. Clint had known this for eight years. Phil loved him. Clint had also known this, for years. Clint and Phil were together now. This was new. And they had their whole lives to fuck the ever loving shit out of each other. Clint could wait. He would wait. Because Phil needed him to be in his right mind for this family holiday. Clint could do this. “Are you okay?” Phil persisted. “I’m fine,” Clint said, and he thanked his lucky stars his voice actually did sound fine. Being a spy did sometimes pay off. “One minute.” He patted his face dry, gave himself a stern look—straighten up, Barton!— and then pulled open the door with a smile for Phil. Phil, who was looking up at him with just a touch of concern, his crows feet crinkling just so at the corners of his eyes. Clint wanted to kiss each crinkle.

Sunday Snippet

Was inspired last night by the boys in my new fic...

“You disappeared.” Wulfric pulled his attention away from the night sky to face his accuser.  “You were busy.  I was in the way.” The lord of the manor scoffed as he moved up to the wall, rested his forearms against the embrasure and looked out across the inner bailey.  Taking a deep breath, Aubri insisted vehemently, “Never.” Warmth filled Wulf but a memory surfaced, and a wave of childhood impishness got the better of him.  Lifting a brow in challenge, he tilted his head slightly to one side.  “Is that so?  I seem to remember our first meeting differently.” Aubri’s breath caught in surprise and echoed through the night air.  Darting a look at Wulfric, he smiled in bemusement.  “Is that so?” “I thought it was a wild boar in that bush.  Or a badger, at the very least.”  Wulfric fought a smile and swallowed a laugh before concluding, “As it turned out, it was the boorish son of our lord.” Aubri’s nose twitched and his smile slid into a smirk.  “I was boorish?” The conversation was ridiculous, but it was nice that they had found this level of comfort with one another once more.  “I was not the one stumbling through the woods, was I?” Aubri snorted softly in amusement while shaking his head.  There had been a time, even as recently as just a few weeks ago, where he would have been affronted if Wulfric had even hinted at such a thing. “Your wordplay is horrible,” Aubri muttered before knocking his shoulder into Wulfric’s.
