Clint Barton, Agent of SHIELD, thinks he's finally reached a decent equilibrium in 2009. He's got a place to do good, help keeping himself out of the tabloids, and he gets to work with the two people on Earth he loves the most. Sure, he might be hopelessly pining over Phil Coulson and terrified that Phil will find out his secret, but it's not like Phil's likely to guess; after all, everyone knows vampires don't exist.

Notes: That picture of LARPing Clint made me think of this fic and a friend wanted the link and it's Friday so I figured I might as well make it a full rec post!

In addition to the fascinating take on vampirism causes and consequences, this is one of my favorite Clint&Natasha relationship portrayals. the immortal father & semi-immortal daughter dynamic? the been through hell and come out swinging duo? the "don't you dare die before me asshole" that makes me want to cry because eventually she's gonna die first and that's just gonna break his heart and I don't think she realizes that?

you know that post about wanting to make fanfics of fanfics? this is probably top of my list of fics I want to make a fanfic of :)

So to say the least I am ever so bored and looking to get some new roleplays up and running. First off the very most important thing to know about me is I'm 25 coming to you from the Cringy One Direction Roleplay era. it is fun to contemplate like the, fandom significance of ships, looking at that poll, significant ones seem to me as:

Spock/Kirk OBVIOUSLY

Mulder/Scully again, obviously.

Watson/Sherlock kind of cosmically, generally, has to be there right? Sherlock Holmes obviously has fandom significance outside of shipping primarily.

OK, controversial one but - do we think any Harry Potter ship makes it? Was any one ship specifically significant? Or was it the general vibe? And the bloody shipwars, of course. I am a wolfstar guy but wolfstar does not feel significant to me. Nor Drarry nor the het ships that had people sending death threats to each other.

Jack Harkness/Ianto I remember this one making people soooo insane. Example of ship that is both canon and significant, imo. Perhaps for it's canonicity.

Remember that time in 2012 when I posted something about Phil x Clint and someone messaged me saying they didn't want that abusive ship on their dash and that I was an asshole for not caring about people because I hadn't tagged it--it was tagged but autocorrect decided "Phlint" needed to be "Pliny" and I hadn't noticed

Or a year or so later when I accidentally hit "like" on one of those posts that was like "reblog if you support queers or hit like to set every f*g on fire and cover in fire ants" and they very adamantly told me I should die despite it being very clear from just two seconds of being on my blog that that isn't true

Or when I called a baby chick an "it" and someone told me I was being disrespectful of the animal's gender

Or when I made a post about being a transracial adoptee and someone told me it was "super fucking racist" to claim to be part of another race as a white person when in fact the term transracial properly refers to the experiences of a person adopted into a family of a race other than their own (spoiler alert, I'm not white but my family is!)???

Or the time a couple months ago when I commented on a post in which I asserted that Americans do in fact use metric measurements pretty often (labs, doctors, medications, etc) someone told me that "no, actually, US Americans seldom use anything other than tea/tablespoons for medications" and their qualifications for making that statement was that they were US American...and despite the fact that I too am American and holding 15 medications (rx and OTC) that are in metric????????

Or when someone got overly aggressive because I said Ft. Myers, FL was in "south Florida" (yes, it's considered the starting point for south Florida but that doesn't make the front door any less part of the house)

Hello! If you don't mind my asking, what are you favorite Marvel ships?

I don't mind at all, nonny! Thank you for asking!

Well, I am a Clint-stan through and through and a multi-shipper at heart. This obsession is made evident by my favourite ships. But in all honesty, if Clint is part of the ship and the premise of the story interests me, I'm willing to give it a shot. Clint is pretty much the fandom bicycle for me lol. And I'm always happy to see art with him in it. I just love Hawkeye.

But if I have to narrow it down to some of my top favs, here's what I've got:

- Winterhawk (Clint x Bucky, sniper husbandos, what else is there to say?)

- Phlint (Clint x Coulson, COMPETENCE KINK? YES.)

- Ironhawk (Clint x Tony, I dunno, they snark with each other and I love it)

- Clintasha (Clint x Natasha, BFFs and badass to boot, I love their chemistry)

Those are probably my top favs.

Lately I've been kind of eyeing Hawkpool (Clint x Wade)? I haven't read anything for it, but I saw there was a comic of the two of them and I love Deadpool so I feel like they would just be absolute anarchy together. Seems like Wade appreciates Clint which makes me very happy.

Also been eyeing...uh...I'm not sure what the ship name is. Hawkdevil? Dareeye? ...they both sound stupid but whatever. Clint x Matt Murdock. I will freely admit I don't know anything about Matt, aside from him being blind, but the thought of a deaf man and a blind man being in a relationship intrigues me.

But yeah basically if Clint is there, I'm interested. I accept any and all fic recs for any of these ships. Thank you for the ask, nonny! <3
