On the 11th of August 2023, I saw this installation titled ‘Rhapsody’ by Jennifer Bartlet in MoMA. I was interested in her ideas and use of the grid format as a surface to paint/draw on. It contains everything in it, appears ever growing and could go on for infinity. The scale is very impressive, engulfing the viewer into a combination of formal patterns juxtaposed with asymmetrical and gestural painted marks.
