so let's out jhope as bisexual?? your insider info is just as bad as the stalkers bts have. totally inappropriate. but you're just a small tumblr blog why should it matter? it 100% does. there is something wrong with you. it's not your place to be giving this info to anyone unless you are an attention seeker. Dont read your blog right if you don't like it?? shame on you really. it's nobody's place to out anyone elses sexuality EVER.
Oh my Lord, Frances. Calm DOWN. I mean the man literally did this back in July in front of how many people? Are you even aware of Equal Sign?
Tumblr media
I can't win with some of y'all and yet here you are to school me regardless. Which I would appreciate had I not my own Korean gay couple to explain things, had I not been intimately involved with the unstr8 community since before your birth most likely, had I not lost friends to AIDS when that was still a thing. And since I'm feeling generous I'mma school your sensitive ass right back so since you're here just have several seats and pay attention. SCHOOL IS IN SESSION.
Tumblr media
"Somebody I know says he is openly bisexual" is EXACTLY THE SAME THING AS "someone I know says he's straight" WITH ONE DIFFERENCE. That difference is negligible in much of the world but in some places I will readily agree that it's not. Korea is one of those places. That's a dude on that bed, btw. In case you were unclear about the message.
Tumblr media
We all knew Hobi was bi back then. You did too, don't lie because your white horse got a cramp. Give the crusade a lil rest and let's ride right along. See, in Korea it is one thing to BE part of the alphabet mafia. It is another thing entirely to SAY it. Out loud. And you are correct that in those exact words, Hobi has never verbatim-ly said it. But honestly, you're coming off with a lot of internalized biphobia or a serious denial issue if you can't extrapolate the message from the above imagery alone, much less his lyrics. To his own music. Which he released publicly and has performed in front of, what, a hundred thousand people or so? Live? Plus it's right there on Hulu and Youtube if you're concerned about his level of visibility. Of course he also did this:
Tumblr media
And I don't know about you but for me it's a little harder to ignore the specificity of the color arrangement of those gloves in light of his performance. But see here's the thing, he's never really hidden his bisexuality from us. Very much like other unstr8 BTS members, he has openly chosen to use inclusive pronouns in his music. He has worn many, many items - far too many to list here - in support of inclusivity, knowing well that some, even most people would see support as personal identification. He has smilingly played the court jester knowing that some people would ignore him, some would validate him, and some would use him to virtue-signal as a cover for their own dis-ease.
To ignore that is to ignore the totality of Jung Hoseok as a person and is far more disrespectful, in my own admittedly tiny corner of the internet. You do you, if it makes you feel better. I just can't magine any straight man filming entire videos in a Gucci pride flag sweater without a certain amount of personal input.
Tumblr media
Not to point out the obvious but also, would a straight guy really voluntarily share a room with Park Jimin for YEARS?
On PURPOSE?
Tumblr media
I mean we all know Jungkook was literally sleeping with Jimin in that bed on the left, we have the receipts and admissions, ain't nobody honestly and truly confused at this point. Again, it's a matter of degrees of difference, but in Hobi's case it's a pretty big degree. Being a single bi dude who also DOES IN FACT like and date women is a very far cry, Korean-militarily-speaking, from being a committed gay couple. It's not even in the same realm, honestly, and that whole military question is a hot mess I'm not going to deal with here. But I knew you were thinking about it so I thought I'd mention it.
Tumblr media
Irene ain't care, bro. She's out there hitting the rainbow and fire emojis every damn time he posts. And if you need to take a deep breath and have another look at why you're so bothered that people around Hobi don't hide who he is, maybe go on and do that. Because his friends know him better than we do, okay. And they love him, as do (hopefully) we all. I do. And if I thought for one instant that my saying he is openly bi would hurt him, I would never. I run a "Jeon-Parks are gay/fucking/married in all but name" blog, for heaven's sake. I really don't think anyone expects me to be saying anything other than the blatantly obvious. If that suuuuuper hurts your feelings and makes you angry, please feel free to locate your nearest J-Hope "Under The Rainbow" photo and use it to vacate the premises.
Tumblr media
There it is!
I did not out this man. He outs himself without my help.

Hi, I've been reading accidental reversal and I really like your 'what if' scenarios with tenma and the gang, and I've had a fic idea I've been considering for a while that I'd appreciate your input on
I've really gotten attached to the idea of a Deaf Tenma, making the decision not to go to a Deaf School (The only Deaf school in Japan that I can find is Meisei Gakuen, which is located in tokyo, which is extremely close to if not the same city where Raimon is) so that he can play for the soccer team that inspired him, only to find the whole fifth sector mess going on.
naturally, he starts the whole revolution, because hes putting the quality of his education on the line to play for raimon, and he isn't about to let that sacrifice for nothing.
tsurugi notices straight away, and when he goes home he immediately starts learning JSL, because first of all he is Not ableist (for obvious reasons), and second is because if he's going to be monologuing at this kid, he's going to make sure he can be understood (he ends up being to go to interpreter when aoi/shinsuke isn't there)
shunsuke asks aoi to teach him and they bond
endou is surprisingly good at JSL when he picks it up (good with his hands + has a very expressive face), kidou, not so much (obscured face, not very expressive anyways)
due to the tension among the team in the first few games, it takes a good chunk of raimon an embarrassingly long time to realize that he isn't just wearing earbuds, and that he doesn't just have an odd accent, and that him looking directly at peoples mouths isn't just a quirk (shindou/kirino/sangoku being like 'How did you not realize? it's so obvious, we've just been learning independently')
also because I've noticed a trend in the show that these kids sure do like to monologue on the soccer field, and I think it's funny if they keep getting interrupted by a kid that just, does not seem to care (its difficult to lip read from a distance, they won't always be facing him, and it seems like a bad idea to wear hearing aids while playing a sport where kids can whip up fire tornadoes, because the average cost of a pair of hearing aids is approximately $4000, or ¥592,560)
anyways it's just an idea I've been considering
Whoa, I love that idea? It sounds so great! I’m a huge fan of rewriting the old story with just enough of a spin to give it a new flavor, and this one’s super interesting. Kinda reminds me of an idea I had at some point in which Tenma is mute and uses sign language. Also lmao Tenma pulling the revolution because ‘’I did NOT sacrifice my education just to get stuck with this crap’’ sounds like such a Tenma move, ngl.
Also yes, Raimon is located in Inazuma Town which is somewhere in Tokyo, it’s on the wiki if you want to check it out!
Okay so I’m not sure what exactly you wanted my input on, so I’m just gonna ramble! Feel free to send me another ask or comment if you wanted something more specific. Anyway, some things that immediately come to mind when I think about this:
1) One of the reasons Tsurugi takes his JSL lessons so seriously could be because Tenma reminds him of his brother. It’s not the same situation but in a way they’re both dealing with disabilities and Tsurugi has seen firsthand how hard it can be for Yuuichi, so he’s a bit softer towards Tenma because of that.
2) Depending on how much of a little shit you want Tenma to be: imagine him turning off his hearing aids at comedic moments, like when someone starts gushing about Fifth Sector’s goals. Tenma just nope’s straight out of that one. Or, although this might be a bit later when he’s more comfortable with the team, him turning off his hearing aids when someone starts scolding him. Absolute power move. They don’t even need to know he does it, maybe someone eventually finds out, cue comedic moment.
3) Since you mentioned accents… Tenma’s from Okinawa and as far as I could find, Okinawans have at least a bit of an accent. Deaf people are also known to learn how to speak by copying the lip movements of the people around them… so if Tenma grew up on Okinawa, it could be assumed he’s grown up speaking Okinawan Japanese and has the accent to match. I imagine non-deaf Tenma would have worked out most of his accent after he moved to Okinawa town so as to not stand out, but deaf Tenma would have had a harder time doing so/might not have even realized he had an accent in the first place. (There is a difference between Okinawan Japanese, which is a Japanese dialect, and the Okinawan language, which is a whole other language altogether and only a few people speak it (mostly the elderly) because it stems from a period before Okinawa was Japanese territory, so if you make use of this idea, maybe look into that a bit. It’s a bit of a complicated situation but I think it could really add something to the characters). This does depend a little on whether Tenma was born deaf or not, I think (that would also influence his lip reading/sign language skills - was he born deaf or has he only been deaf for a few years?)
4) Find subtle ways to mention it throughout the story instead of using full paragraphs. I like comparing it to writing someone who wears glasses. Small details are glasses getting fogged up when going from the outside cold into a warm room, or when drinking tea. Smudges on glasses that annoy the character. Pushing them up when they slip down their nose. These are all small, subtle actions that add a lot to the story and ‘remind’ readers of this detail without putting too much focus on it - you could try and do the same thing with Tenma’s deafness: lip reading is really difficult so Tenma might misunderstand or ask for clarification, or little habits he has (like you mentioned, watching people’s mouths rather than their eyes).
Anyway, I’d definitely recommend doing research on writing deaf characters because it’s very easy to accidentally make a mistake and come off as disrespectful. I’ve read a story or two in which there was so much focus on a character being deaf that it seemed to be their only character trait, and not only does that take away from the story, but it’s also not a good representation. Being deaf is not a defining character trait; it’s just part of their character, like wearing glasses or having asthma. An important thing that should be acknowledged but not constantly mentioned/made to be the center of their life and character.
Some questions that immediately popped into my head:
1. Was Tenma born deaf or did he lose his hearing?
2. Does he shout or say the name of hissatsu techniques? Would he even bother with that?
3. In fact would he even bother trying to learn the names of hissatsu techniques (since they can be super weird + it’s during a match and he’s not wearing hearing aids, so these both make it hard to lip read) and instead just come up with names for them himself? Imagine him referring to Sangoku’s Fence of Gaia as ‘’the rock thing’’ or Kami no Takuto as ‘’Shindou-senpai’s lightshow’’.
4. Does the entire team learn sign language (and how good are they at it), or does Tenma speak and lip read more with certain members of the team and use sign language with others?
Of course the amount of detail you put into it all depends on how long you want the story to be! I hope this is sort of what you wanted, and again, feel free to ask something else if this isn’t what you hoped for.
And in case you decide to write the story, best of luck!

Hi, you can keep this unanswered and not post it, but I want to help you understand the thought behind some of the points in your criticism post. Before I start I want to apologise if I come off as blunt and rude, that's not my intention and I'll try my best to show my tone as unthreatening but I'm autistic and not a native English speaker, which complicates things lol
*general you used throughout the ask
First, I want to start with this: they all are part of the army. You don't need to dig much to see you'll rarely see a "morally upstanding" person in the army, be it because they're cheaters, abusers, compliant with all that or they're (insert -ist/-phobe category here). UK military spouses are 3 times more likely to experience intimate partner violence (IPV). I'm not saying the COD characters need to be written like that, but it wouldn't be "unrealistic" if we take real life statistics into account.
Second, and maybe the most important thing, everyone writes COD characters OOC. The majority of the active fandom on Tumblr and tiktok have seen gifs and 10min out of context clips from the game at best. It's to be expected to not frequently find something actually in character for a lot of the guys. Especially with characters that are just operators like König, Nikto and Krueger. In their case everything is and isn't OOC at the same time because we just... Don't know these characters. We lack characterisation past maybe 1-3 traits about them. I'd argue that's why the fandom liked König so much, other than being masked, he's the perfect paper doll! You can dress him up in whatever characterisation you want and it probably won't contradict his canon (because he barely has one and what he has is quickly misinterpreted (anxiety disorder turning into shyness for example)).
Now specifically on your "How are you going to hc a victim as the abuser?" - simple, whether you like to accept it or not is up to you, but it's not far fetched for victims to become abusers later in life. Just look at serial killers statistics - 74% of US serial killers were psychologically abused and 42% were physically abused as children and later in life followed a similar pattern brought to an extreme. Or on the other hand, a tamer example would be generational trauma because that's how we get that (grandparent was abused and because that's all they know, they implement it in bringing up their child who, for the same reason, implements it in bringing up the grandchild and so on).
The final thing I want to say is, it's good to block people who you don't vibe with. Doesn't matter if it's because they wrote something that personally disturbed you or you simply don't like their blog theme or you see them too often in the tag. Personally curating your experience is key in fandom, utilise the tools Tumblr has given us. Of course as you and others have mentioned that's impossible without some assistance from the other side. Tagging is extremely important (tagging with the correct words without censoring!!! Or the filter won't catch! Rape, noncon, incest ✅; r@pe, n*nc*n, 1nc*st ✖️✖️).
I hope this isn't too messy or long aaaa
I really appreciate you taking the time to type this up and actually speak to me about this, your input is very appreciated. /gen
I do think I could've done better on that post since I wrote it in the heat of the moment, all characters are written OOC and it was ignorant of me to say
"Maybe read the characters backstories and actually take their past into consideration because you guys kinda look dumb for making these characters so OOC."
I hope ya'll can really take the time to see my POV, I did not mean. any harm, I've come across some gross things, but blocking and filtering tags so much as begun to be tiring.
My main issue is tagging, without tagging I am left with getting triggered by random posts because the first few sentences may include something on my trigger list.
That's all I want and also what a lot of other people want.
Writing is meant for anyone and everyone, a form of art and perhaps a for of therapy.
Please tag your work, you are not the only person on the internet.
Thank you for reading!

Friends, family! Some updates and questions on the Old GMMTV Challenge -- if anyone catches this post, I would love your input! (AND THANK YOU for all the input on this watch journey so far, I LOVE YOU, FAM!)
1) Love Sick. Oh my gosh, I am TOTALLY enjoying this show. Yes, lots of problems, LOTS of issues, and I get to enjoy the BL cuts, so I’m missing all the messy het context (thank GAWD).
But seriously -- oh my god, oh my god. Noh and Phun are like, a canon Thai BL couple? They’re SO PERFECT FOR THE JOB. It’s so amazing, they’re so amazing. Noh is so insane and WISE. Phun is SO CRAZY IN LUV. I love that Phun just CANNOT HOLD BACK! THOSE EYES! (This guy is my TUL?! TUL?!)
So watching Love Sick now makes me regret, by quite a lot, not watching these shows chronologically. I think it would have helped me a lot to watch Love Sick before SOTUS, but alas, I let my curiosity about Singto get the best of me. More on this in a second.
2) @absolutebl, @clairificusrex, @nieves-de-sugui, and anyone else who wants to chime in! Question for y’all: I found this playlist on YouTube for BL cuts of Love Sick season 2. Do these edits look reliable to you? I unfortunately have to multitask at all times when I’m watching dramas, so I can’t fast-forward -- I think I might need to rely on this playlist to finish out LS2. Gah. I hope these work for the task at hand!
3) Okay, chronology. I would love advice, thoughts, feedback on the following questions! (I’m sorry I’m asking all these questions, btw: I have a huge trip coming up, and may run into rights issues where I’m going, so I want to get a good watch plan solidified before I leave. Because... I’m a list person, oh god.)
Like I said, I think I messed myself up by watching SOTUS before Love Sick. I think it would have really helped me to understand SOTUS even more if I had watching LS first, to catch on some tropes that were clearly borne out of LS.
@absolutebl recommended, as the third drama of the OGMMTVC, 2gether. But, in a separate comment thread, @shortpplfedup also mentioned that Love Sick and Make It Right kind go together (@shortpplfedup, let me know if I’m stating this reliably) as two of the early high school pulp BLs.
I don’t know if Make It Right is as referenced, trope- or script-wise, as an early BL as Love Sick or SOTUS. But it does have Ohm Pawat, who is one of the actors I permanently rabbithole, and I do really appreciate watching Love Sick now to see all the high school tropes being built.
So I’m wondering: for chronology’s sake, would it make sense to watch Make It Right/MIR2 next, after Love Sick, if this is a side-path I want to take to learn about canon regarding high school settings?
Or... is Make It Right not worth it? I know @absolutebl has said before that the heat of MIR may be wiggly for the youth of the actors. I’d love input! If MIR gives by way of education, I may want to dig into it while I’m on the road.
4) And then after that, closing out the OGMMTVC would be 2gether. However!
a) My other side commitment is to understand Aof’s oeuvre. And He’s Coming to Me and Dark Blue Kiss both aired BEFORE 2gether. So I’m kinda wondering if I should watch those first, before 2gether.
b) And then there’s his involvement with the 2gether franchise, which -- I had no idea about until I perused MDL. And I’m totally not quite following what all the sequels mean and maybe, why he got involved in the franchise?
Was 2gether so bad, in a way, that Aof and Fon Kannitha had to come in and, like, rescue the franchise for Still 2gether and 2gether: The Movie?
And, what the heck is this MDL description of the movie? Is it, like... a summary of the two previous series?
(Is all of this messy-mess indicative of why 2gether landed on the OGMMTVC list? Ha.)
I’m a little confused by what the whole deal is with 2gether, and if the sequels are worth watching. For me, the priority would be to watch Aof’s work as it progresses over time, which makes me think I should interrupt the OGMMTVC to watch He’s Coming To Me and Dark Blue Kiss first. Because, again, I’m wondering if he or GMMTV felt that he needed to come in and, like, save the 2gether franchise. When I was digging into all of this in MDL, I was totally surprised to see his name there.
Whew. I know this was a lot, but I appreciate ANY crumbs from the experts. (2gether, on paper, looks like a hot mess, but I know BrightWin are beloved, so...what’s up with that, ha.) If anyone’s reading and commenting this -- thanks, y’all, in advance, for your input!

hello... 😅 uhm, first of all, i truly am sorry in advance for being awkward 😭 but for once i decided not to let my awkwardness keep me from sharing (what i think/hope are) positive thoughts with a stranger on the internet, so here i am.
i'm not around much and legit only made this acc bc like you i'm a late bloomer here and needed as many outlets for my yizhan/wangxian obsession as i could get my greedy hands on, in the big year of 2023... sigh. anyway, as an avid lover of meta/analysis posts since my early fandom days began around 15 (oof 🥲) years ago, finding your acc was such a lovely surprise. i agree with your views a LOT, and really appreciate how eloquent and well-written your posts are! even more so bc there's a lot i still don't know and most of the time the source material is very hard to reach and/or understand due to the language barrier, so having other turtles to rely on to access those, even if filtered by their own biases/opinions, is wonderful. besides, such input coming from a new fan is also comforting and imo refreshing, juxtaposed with that of older fans... it keeps the fandom alive and all that jazz. it's also very brave given how ruthless some folks can be on the internet, and on this corner in particular 😮‍💨 it just felt like reading my own thoughts written by someone else sometimes. i gasped and nodded at your posts soooo many times djskdjdj thank you for that!
(btw you followed me back the other day and i legit fangirled irl bc ??? whatttttt 😅 i still think it was an accident but okay omg djskdjdj AHEM. sorry)
then today i logged in and read your recent posts feeling squeamish about sharing more thoughts and as much as i 100% relate to you saying that kind of attention makes you anxious, i just... idk, i had to let you know i enjoy everything you post, even though adult life has kept me from being able to read it all so far. i understand you stepping back and i respect that decision, i'm not by any means asking you to go against what you know is best for you. at the same time, i can't help but hope you'll still show up every now and then bc your posts will be missed 🥲 i guess the whole motivation behind this is that it just made me sad to think your valuable insights will be something i'm yet again late to, if that makes sense?
djskdjdj again, i'm so sorry for being awkward and weird and dropping all of this on your inbox unprovoked. you don't have to reply (or read this AT ALL omg 😭😭), in fact i'm so embarrassed by this that you'd probably have to reach me through inquiry lmaooo 💀 anyway, have a great life, thank you so much for the great job, bjyxszd etc ❤️💚💛
Oh, don't be anxious! I'm really not a big deal.
Thank you for dropping into my inbox! I love hearing from other turtles, especially relative newbies, like myself! One of my fav parts of coming out of lurking mode is getting to talk to other people. I kinda follow back anybody who follows me, cause it seems polite? I don't know tumblr etiquette. I just follow the tags when I get the chance.
I appreciate the encouragement! I try to avoid dramatics, so I'm sorry for the upset last week. The situation is largely resolved, and I am feeling more okay. I kinda backed off because I wasn't sure of my footing here in fandom as compared to others, especially as I do think I have some takes that fall outside fandom consensus. Again, I don't mean to rock any boats and I'm not invested in convincing anybody that they should have the same opinions as I do. Hearing from turtles who do want me to continue posting gave me some more confidence there.
So, yeah, I expect I'll post some more as I have time. I'd like to post more on dd (cause he's my fav). I'd also like to try to figure out gg cause that dude is so confusing to me. I do have RL stuff going on, and I don't have the time to be super-active outside of occasional posts. But I'd like keep posting stuff. At least until I get all my Yizhan thoughts out.

Disabilities and Disclosure
@lollytea made a post about this idea and I went with it.
I don't have dyslexia. If you or someone you know has it, I'd appreciate your input!
@avatarmerida @fairytales-and-folklore

"Disabilities and Disclosure"
"I'm gonna have to borrow that book when you're done with it!"
Willow wasn't really thinking when she made that promise. She'd been too caught up in Hunter's cool outfit and his sweet smile to realize what she was signing up for. She'd been so preoccupied with flirting with the cute boy she didn't bother to think she was actually going to have to read that book later.
At first, she put it off. They were busy fighting villains, rebuilding society, rebuilding their homes, starting a new semester at Hexside. Then, a few months after she and Hunter started dating, he remembered she had expressed interest in reading Cosmic Frontier.
Oh no.
"Here you go! you can keep it, I have another copy at home."
"Aww, Sunflower, this is so nice of you."
Hunter blushed, he always blushed when she called him that.
Aw fuck. The book was even bigger than she remembered.
"A little fat, ain't it?" She chuckled nervously "how did you read it all in 2 days?"
"Haha well, yeah. I don't wanna brag but you do remember I've been called a 'genius teen prodigy'," He said this in a tone that sounded like he did want to brag. "it's not that fat, tho. A regular reader like you can probably kill it in a week or two. And then you can share your thoughts with me, Gus and Camila!"
Yeah. Sure. A regular reader like her.
A week or two. Sure.
Hunter must've sensed her uncertainty because his voice immediately dropped from excitement to comfort.
"Hey, I won't get upset if you don't like it. Just so you know."
"Aw, yeah, I wasn't worried about that. But thanks."
She tried looking at the summary on the back and almost got a headache. She knew he wouldn't mind if she didn't like it... But would he be disappointed if she couldn't even finish it?
"Oh, and I hope you're cool with this... I kinda wrote stuff on the margins," he said this bashfully.
Willow opened the book on the first page. The first two pages of every book are always blank before the actual story gets started. She'd always considered that a waste of paper.
This time, however, she saw on the first blank page something written in Hunter's perfect calligraphy. He had such nice handwriting. Her writing was so messy in comparison.
Even she was able to read the three simple words written there with love and care.
'To my Captain 💛'
What had she done?
______________________________________________
The days passed by and no matter how hard she tried, the damn book was impossible to finish.
It's not that she couldn't read at all! She could read! She was 16, not 5!
But some words were harder to understand than others. Words that were really long and complicated gave her the hardest time. It didn't help that all these characters had odd names that looked impossible to pronounce and even harder to spell. She kept getting headaches whenever she stared at a page for too long.
She had always been like this, since she started school. It was one of the reasons abominations were so much harder for her than plants, abominations required a lot of reading and theory, plants were direct hands-on action. She had so many memories of staying up late with her parents trying to help her as she agonized over the homework.
And, as the days passed, she kept avoiding having to talk to Hunter. He always asked her how far into the book she was, which scene had she gotten to, who was her favorite character so far. And Gus was no better. Gus knew of Willow's reading issue but it seemed like the young boy had forgotten about it as he got caught up in the excitement as well.
One day, Willow was alone, sitting on the school steps when she suddenly couldn't take it anymore and screamed in frustration, throwing the book away from her.
Luckily, someone caught it.
"Wow! You must be really angry at this thing," Luz said, in between scared and impressed. "did your favorite character die or something? I hate it when that happens."
Willow sighed.
"No, it's just... it's so hard to read."
"Really? It says here the age rating is 13 and up," Luz pointed at the back of the book.
Willow groaned.
"Is it because you don't understand all the weird sci-fi things? I know you guys still don't know a lot about the human world. It makes sense you don't get all the space and science-y thingies," she laughed. "heck, I'm a human and even I don't get it half the time! It's super confusing, you don't have to feel bad for -"
"That's not it either, Luz."
There was a silence between the two of them. Luz felt the weight of that silence and sat down next to her. The human carefully laid a hand on her best friend's shoulder.
"Hey. You don't have to tell me but it looks like it'll make you feel better to tell someone."
"It's... I don't... it's not that I can't read or write! You've seen me do it! I know how to read and write! I'm not a baby!"
Luz simply stared at her, waiting for her to continue.
"But, even though I can do it, I find it very... difficult. There's lots of words that I can't spell because they're too long, the letters sometimes like... move around and blurr together even when I'm wearing my glasses!" She took off the golden frames as if to clarify. "and I keep getting headaches and I hate it when a sentence has too many comas and -"
"Oh, you have dyslexia!"
Willow stopped her rant to look at her friend. She put her glasses back on, confused.
"What?"
"Oh, that's what humans call it! I don't know how witches call it or if it even has a name here. I didn't know witches could have dyslexia... but I guess it makes sense cause human brains are very similar to witch brains. I wonder if-"
"Luz, what's dyslexia?"
"Oh, right, sorry," she smiled apologetically. "it's a learning disability. It's what you just described. Someone who has a hard time reading, who can't spell long words, who struggles with big books... etcetera."
Willow looked shocked, her mouth slightly opened. It has a name? Other people have it?
"I'm not a doctor so I can't really diagnose you. But, if you want, we can do some research! There's lots of info on the human realm! It's actually a really common thing so we have lots of methods to help make it easier. We can look up Cosmic Frontier audiobooks! You can just listen to it, no reading required."
Despite of herself, Willow smiled. Luz was a really good friend.
"Thank you, Luz. That sounds nice."
"And I bet Hunter will love to help! You know how he loves research!"
The smile dropped as quickly as it had come, replaced by panic.
"NO! DON'T TELL HUNTER!"
"Okay, why?"
"He just... Hunter's so smart and I'm..."
"You're smart! Just because you have a learning disability doesn't make you not smart! Mom has ADHD and she's super smart!"
"What's ADHD?"
"Oh, it's another learning disability. I think I have it too but that's a conversation for another day."
"Mmmkay," Willow shrugged and went back to the matter at hand. "Hunter's so smart and he's such a good reader and... and he's always going on and on about how talented and clever I am and he admires me so much and... I don't want him to be disappointed or to see me different."
Luz stayed silent for a moment while she contemplated what to say. She finally settled on:
"I'm not gonna tell him because I respect your privacy but I think you should tell him. Hunter loves you but he doesn't have you on a pedestal, he knows you're a person with limits and weaknesses. He's not going to be disappointed if you tell him this."
Willow didn't respond but she knew her friend was right. Oh, where would she be without Luz the human?
______________________________________________
A few days of research and information gathering with the assistance of Luz and Camila, and Willow was now ready to come clean to her boyfriend.
She sat with him on a picnic they'd set up in the forest as she laid out all the information. Hunter would occasionally ask a question but, for the most part, he just let her speak. In the end, Willow stared at him in deep dread.
"Wow, ok. Thanks for telling me this," he stopped to take a sip of apple blood before continuing. "how can I help?"
Willow stared at him, processing the words.
"You want to help?" She asked incredulously.
"You're my girlfriend and you need help, therefore, I'm willing to do what I can. Is that not how it works?"
Willow couldn't help but smile. Hunter was getting better at this relationship thing.
"Yeah, thank you. I was just... I was being paranoid."
Hunter tilted his head, offering her to go on.
"You're always... you're so smart and well-read and... you always tell me how talented and clever you think I am and you compliment me for knowing so much about flyer derby and plants and insects... I feel like I'll disappoint you if I'm actually not as smart as you think I am."
Hunter frowned. He did tend to go on about how amazing his girlfriend was, he couldn't help it! He loved her! And she had always looked so happy when he said those things, responding with a smile or a blush or a thank you or paying him a compliment in return.
He didn't realize that maybe there was a bit of a negative side to it.
"Willow, I'm not gonna be disappointed in you for having limits and weaknesses. Nobody's perfect! And that's fine! You're the one who taught me that!
The plant witch snorted. It was true, she had been the one to teach Hunter that. Why couldn't she remember her own advice?
"There it is," Hunter said, fondly.
"There what is?"
"You snort like a pig when you laugh, you kick people in your sleep, you take pictures of strangers on the street like a creeper..." He counted on his fingers. "I could keep going but the point is, I know you're not perfect. It's okay to not be perfect. I don't love you because you're flawless! I love you because you're Willow and you're impossible not to love."
He said that last part so sincerely, she had to believe him. The plant witch grabbed her boyfriend in a tight hug. He hugged her back and she felt the warmth fill her with comfort.
"I love you too, Sunflower."
They kissed. They'd already kissed so many times, it came naturally to them by now. Willow was long familiar with the taste of his lips but it still somehow brought firebees to her stomach no matter how many times she did it. It never got old, she would never get tired of it.
Every time they kissed, like clockwork, flowers came out of Willow's head. It was like her heart and her magic couldn't control themselves when she felt his kisses. This time, the flowers on her hair were white bellflowers.
"Now, back to the 'how can I help?' thing," Hunter said, after they had broken apart. "I think I have an idea you might like."
______________________________________________
Normal people would simply find a Cosmic Frontier audiobook for Willow to listen to. Or maybe they would read to her out loud. Or maybe they'd show her the movie adaptation (tho, she'd been told by Hunter, Gus and Camila that the movie was awful and did a terrible job at adapting the original source material).
Hunter wasn't a normal person, not by a long shot.
He'd decided to act out all of the memorable scenes from the book like it was a play. After telling the others, they had also been incredibly excited to help.
Everyone did something. Willow built the stage and props, Hunter made the costumes and wrote the scripts, Vee and Gus were on special effects with their shapeshifting and illusions respectively, Amity brought some abominations for extra manpower and Luz and Camila put together a playlist of songs that went perfect with every scene. Eda and King brought snacks.
When the night of the premiere finally came, Willow sat down at the Owl House's backyard with Luz, Amity, King, Eda and Raine as they watched it all unfold. Luz took out her phone and started recording because she wanted to put it on Mewtube, Amity didn't understand anything that was going on, Eda ate all the snacks and King fell asleep on Raine's lap halfway through. Perfection.
It wasn't a quality production, it was very low budget and DIY. It reminded Willow of those plays the bard witches from the drama club at Hexside often did. It was silly and weird but it was wonderful.
At the heart of it all were the actors. Vee obviously knew how to play a convincing alien monster, Gus and Camila were not professionals but they felt such passion and appreciation for their character's plight that they could bring themselves to do a pretty good performance. And Hunter was just IN IT! He was an artist lost in his art and Willow never wanted him to stop ever.
His voice cracked with emotion on the dramatic scenes, he stricked poses and smiled at the audience, he recited every line from memory, he even cried on the sad parts. It was hard not to love the book when it inspired something so incredible on all these people she loved.
When the play ended, the actors took a bow and everyone clapped. Luz was the loudest, woohoo-ing and wolf whistling. She cheered so loud, King woke up with a yelp.
Willow made flowers with her magic, throwing them at the stage enthusiastic. Gus caught one and pointed a finger gun, winking at her. Vee caught one and giggled. Camila caught one and her smile got even bigger.
She threw a whole bouquet of roses. Hunter caught it and blew her a kiss.
Yup, this was her new favorite book.

Finalized Update Schedule: October 8, 6:00 am (GMT+8)
Hello! I hope you’ve all been doing well this week! Like I mentioned above, the update’s finally coming :) And there’ll be no further delays, I promise. I will be sending the edited last scene for the update to my testers later, or tomorrow morning if my headache still persists tonight, but I’m truly excited to show you this!
As of now, there are three main things I wanted to discuss:
FUTURE UPDATES
For the sake of my health, mentally speaking and to help my eye issues recover somewhat, I will be taking a one-week break from writing after every update. I’ll still be answering asks, but I’ll be limiting myself to that.
Reblogs for the updates are very much appreciated every time. That’s really the only way for me to reach more readers, and it’s also quite motivating when I see folks reblog my silly posts and my silly game.
I’m no longer going to write as many prompts as I did last year; I kinda learned my lesson with that (that was a very bad idea of mine). When I do share prompt lists, it will probably be every 2 or 3 months, and you’ll have to wait a week or two before I actually get to writing your requests.
My target right now is to upload an update every 2 months, although this will only be possible if I get to focus on writing.
Please expect there to be more edits to preceding updates once I upload the next ones. It’s just how I write. For all the years I’ve written screenplays, I’ve never finished one without making a lot of edits to the opening parts. This will likely happen here, too. What I plan, though, is to do these edits once I’ve given my updates to the testers and before publicly releasing them, so there will be no time wasted on it.
Any kind of feedback and/or suggestion will be appreciated every time I push out an update; they help in motivating me, which then equates to a faster pace of writing, as weird as that may sound.
The first book for Hollowed Minds is quite long, so I will be looking forward to your continued support!
If anyone here has a better sense of time management than I do, please help me out and give me some tips lmao.
PATREON
I’m planning to launch my patreon a week or so after the update; I’m also aiming to set up my ko-fi in a way that you could choose to get the same benefits there instead if you wish to.
I hope y’all wouldn’t see this as greediness or anything alike, but I’d definitely prefer to focus on writing Hollowed Minds as much as I can, without a lot of distractions. Gradually raising funds through these platforms would help in doing that, while ensuring that more frequent updates will come in the future and that everything with regards to my health would be properly taken care of. Setting this up will also help me manage my time more efficiently through stricter deadlines, and you’ll be free to cancel your subscription at any time.
I want to ask for your inputs with regards to the content you wish to see in here. So far, I’ve been planning for: sneak peeks, lore content and q & a, more plot-oriented snippets for the ROs, bonus short stories for the characters, access to polls, and a 2-week early access to the succeeding updates once applicable. I honestly don’t want anyone to just waste their money, so knowing what you want to see would be great.
A weekly progress will be kept free to view here on tumblr, though I will also start posting them on patreon and on ko-fi. (I might not post them at certain times if I feel like I didn’t have sufficient progress to report about.)
FEEDBACK
I don’t like having to keep asking for them, but really, receiving any sort of opinion about the game and especially about its characters will help a tremendous amount. While I do have testers, it’s not as if they can catch every issue in it, so knowing how you feel about the overall flow will be appreciated.
I will be searching for more testers for the next update, so keep your eyes peeled!
Do note that you can choose to send your feedback here, on the discord, or on the forums, wherever you prefer.
I feel like I’m forgetting something, but uh, I’ll just reblog an edited version of this if I do remember. See you soon!

How the strawhats would react if you came out as a trans man
Part I - Before the actual thing (Prequel)
Well... Hear me out. This really specific thing was nowhere to be found (at least I did not find it), but i need this to exist. Therefore I just went ahead and made this oddly specific headcanon. I gonna ramble on that. The actuall reactions will be in the second part.
For quite a while you've been questioning yourself. You friends were great. Zoro would help you with your training and be as merciless as he would have been with a man. Luffy, Chopper und Ussop appreciated your input on whatever nonsense they were about to do. You learned quite a bunch of stuff while helping Franky. Even Sanji. After a while he became normal around you and you helped a lot with cooking.
You didn't have to play a role. For the first time in your life you could just be you. It was almost as if you were no longer a girl...of course...you never were, as you'd find out later. Still you noticed being called by a girls name. Being called she. Even how people on the streets would react to you, how they'd assume your a girl. Slowly but surely it startet bothering you. And while you were trying to wrap your head around that and while figuring out who you are the ship was on its war to Sabaody Archipel.
When the crew got seperated you've been at an all time low. Somehow you didn't get zapped away to a far away island. You were left right there and after a while wandering around... after you lost hope. But - faced with the reality of never seeing your nakama again - you were able to put it into words. And those were: I am a boy.
You than decided to join the heart pirates. Just kinda jumped into the ship and went under sea with them. "Aren't you one of the strawheads?", Law questions you after he found you. "I sure am. Probably you noticed that we all got send away. Well...everyone but me. I had nowhere to go. So I figured..." He still looked at you with a serious expression, as if he was to throw you out right there. "I am >your/new/name<", you added. It felt good. Picking that name, saying it out loud. Also Law got more relaxed. "Find than >y/n< you can stay for a while"
You stuck around. Even after you found out about Luffys plan you stayed with them. Learned a lot. Also talked a lot. It took you some time but Law managed to get to you. He became like an older brother for you.
Eventually he told you: "y/n-ya I always wondered...since I am cis and even if all experiences are different..." He send shiffers down your spine. You never talked to anyone about you trans experience. You were scared. He continued: "Are you comfortable in you skin? I read a lot after meeting you and found out about dysphoria. So if figured maybe... it's fine if your fine... You wouldn't have to change for anyone but yourself... but if there is anything I - we could do to your body to make you more comfortable just let me know." So you guys did that. He cared for you. Asked good questions to help you figure out what exactly you need and than of course he did the doctor as well.
You looked nothing like before when the two years were over and you decided to head back to you crew.

so i kinda woke up feeling not, so great about myself, (probably because i had a very upsetting dream but that's besides the point LMBO) or my writing in general and that just. got me thinking about other fellow fanfic writers and i just wanted to take the time to. appreciate those of you guys who go out of your way to write amazingly crafted and detailed worlds, WITHOUT money and a lot of the time even without feedback. it's just. not an easy thing to do but you guys are just so creative and inspiring, with the amount of drive you have and just, the determination to keep going because it's a story you want to tell. sometimes you're the only one experiencing your own worlds, you're the sole one moving it forward so, the fact you do it at all is really awesome. even those who have discontinued/cancelled works for one reason or another, you did your absolute best and you should be proud of yourself for that. again, it's important to note we don't do this for free, or necessarily validation sometimes; we just want to tell the stories we want to tell and share them with others, so. i just think it's really, incredibly neat seeing so many authors go so far and gain the following they do, including those who are underrated and haven't yet gotten much input from others. anyway my point is you guys are just. super cool and awesome and i love you and thanks for writing!!!!

i feel like no romance fits best with the theme of him trying to reintegrate himself into his brother’s lives but romance could work for him trying to reintegrate into the village as a whole. ultimately its up to you ofc but my vote is towards no romance
Generally speaking, I think you’d probably be right. On one hand, a side romance could work with battling JD’s insecurities with his scars and appearance cause he’s kinda of scary looking now.
On the other hand I don’t really ship him with anyone and see him so family/friendship oriented. And I think that’s something he could come to terms with as time goes on.
I am partial to no romance in general, especially when it comes to him. So maybe my ask for suggestions is rigged I don’t know. But I very much appreciate your input. I know John Dory shipping is like majorly popular and although I tend to not see him that way, I also tend to write friendships to be close and intimate (yeah, I was a Tolkien kid what of it) that some people kinda see it as romantic just cause pretty much everything is seen like that these days.
It also depends on how far I go with this. It’s entirely possible I won’t write far enough for that to even be a thing. So I’m just kind of weighing my options and asking what people thought about it.
Thank you for your input!!!

Spelled (Carlos de Vil x Sanderson Daughter)- Ch. 5: Royal Announcement
Tumblr media
It’s been a few months since I first came to Auradon, and I must say I’ve managed to settle in fairly well. My ‘initiation’ that Chad had mentioned turned out to be me being bombarded by silly string in the middle of the night by the fencing team. I swear if it weren’t for Binx I would have jinxed them into croaking like frogs.
My magic classes include potion-making, antidotes and anti-don’ts, hexes, jinxes and beyond, and Goodness 201 (advanced goodness class). When I asked why I had to take a goodness class Fairy Godmother said it was “to prepare for distributing good deeds with our magic.” It’s just a bunch of please and thank-you's mixed in with helping the poor and needy, and in all honesty it’s the most boring class I’ve ever gone through. Fiona, daughter of Fauna (as in Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather) became my unapproved tutor. She’s constantly reminding me of what I’m doing wrong- and I’ve come close at least 5 times of cursing her perfume to smell like a skunk.
I also got to meet other, more friendlier students, such as Tiffany and Doug. Tiffany, daughter of Tiana and Naveen, is the best cook I’ve ever had the pleasure of taste-testing for! She definitely inherited her mother’s talent for cooking, and her dad’s talent of dancing. Every time I visit the kitchen she’s waltzing around whipping up some new recipe, and is always looking for test subjects.
Doug is just as good a friend. He’s my study partner, and basically knows every textbook cover-to-cover. Unlike Ben, Doug supports my ingenious prank ideas and sometimes comes up with his own ideas- such as letting a squirrel loose in Audrey's dorm. After ten minutes of her banshee scream I let Binx and Twilight chase the poor creature out. Audrey then appeared to see me as an important ally in regards to pest control and has become somewhat less bitchy ever since.
Right now we’re being taught about illumination vs flame spells. Hopefully I won’t set anything on fire this time!
“Now, instead of saying ‘illumincerate,’ I want you to recite: lumicious!” Fairy Godmother announces with a very enthusiastic grin.
“Lumicious,” we all chant in unison. Sure enough, a tainted pink light appears in the palm of my hand- and it’s not fire!
My success causes me to start clapping and cheering (something surely from my Mom’s side), leading to the others to look at me with confused stares. I try to calm down and go back to being quiet and discreet.
“Magica, Prince Ben has requested your presence,” I hear Jane say from behind me.
She appears to be nervous around the other magical students, so I quickly follow her out to provide some comfort.
“Don’t worry about them- their bark is far worse than their bite. You just need to know how to navigate a conversation with them without spelling them to sleep.”
Jane frowns. “Why would I do that?”
I snicker. “So you don’t have to talk to them.”
She gets the joke and gives a carefree laugh. “I wish I was as good as being popular as you!”
W-What?
My smile twitches. “What do you mean?”
“Oh, come on! You’re, like, one of the most adored kids in the school, Magica! Everyone likes you. You’re so nice and helpful, talented…”
I see her face drop and I put a hand on her shoulder. “Hey, hey. Jane, you’ve got something I will never, ever have. I can’t exactly say what, but just know that you are very fortunate in the family department. I don’t want to be ‘cool’ or ‘popular.’ I never asked for that, and I don’t want it. So if you’re cool with me hanging out with you and hiding from all the snobby stuck-up princesses,” I give her a quick, tight hug. “Then I’d really appreciate it.”
Thankfully, my input seems to lift Jane’s spirits. “So, how’s it been being the Royal Advisor?”
I tilt my head. “You know, it’s kinda just a job that means saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to Ben’s crazy new ideas. Did you know last week he asked if we should try exploring the Trident Seas? I told him we should focus more on international matters before worrying about diplomatic expeditions. Seriously, Ben says he’s grown ‘more mature’ and ‘wise,’ but at times he’s still the scatterbrained boy I grew up with. A truly good heart, but not so much in the think-before-doing department.”
We get to Ben’s room and Jane leaves me to deal with the new appointment with the soon-to-be king. Inside, Ben is trying to stand still on a pedestal while the royal tailor measures him, although he’s much too fidgety to get any proper work done.
“Greetings, my liege! How might I serve thou?” I announce dramatically with a curtsey.
Ben rolls his eyes and gives an annoyed grunt. “Enough with the fancy talk, Sparks. I don’t have the patience.”
“Note taken. So, what service do you require from me today?”
“I’ve… kinda got a new proclamation. A royal announcement, if you will.” Ben points a finger.
I give the tailor a look of apology. “And… this couldn’t wait until you’re not as… occupied?”
“Ugh,” Ben groans as the tailor gestures again for him to stand still. “Another fitting, yeah. I can’t wait- it’s too important!”
“What’s too important?”
Just then, King Beast and Queen Belle themselves enter. I must admit, I’m surprised they’ve grown to like me in the past few months. One might say they’ve all but adopted me as part of the family.
King Beast shakes his head, smiling. “How is it possible that you’re going to be crowned king next month? You’re just a baby!”
“He’s going to be sixteen!” Queen Belle swats his arm.
While they do small bickering back and forth I take a moment to get out some paper and a fountain pen to write down any notes Ben has for me.
“I’ve chosen my first official proclamation. Ben looks at me for support, and I give a warm smile. “”I’ve decided that the children on the Isle of the Lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon.”
Wait- what?
Did I hear that right? Ben’s requesting that more villain kids come to Auradon Prep? Not that I’m opposed, it’s just… I’m opposed! If supposedly ‘good’ kids like Audrey and Willow can be bratty jerks then I don’t even want to know what evil-rooted villain kids are like!
Ben’s parents seem to share my feelings, because they’re already arguing.
“Every time I look out there I feel like they’ve been abandoned!”
“The children of our sworn enemies, living among us?” Ben’s dad questions with steep doubt. “Magica is an exception, but how can you wish that kind of evil upon our kingdom?”
I’m… an exception? Um, thanks, I guess? But I must admit a part of me does feel guilty that I’ve been able to build a stable, ‘good’ life in Auradon while there must be other kids on the Isle that wish for the same thing.
“Everyone deserves redemption,” I add to help back Ben up.
Ben gives me a bright smile. “Exactly! Just look at how Magica’s come to terms with being good! She’s proven that a descendant from a wicked witch can choose to be good and helpful!”
This sends Ben’s parents looking at each other with nervous, anxious glances.
“Have you decided on which kids to invite first, or is it a free-for-all?” I ask.
“I’m getting to that,” Ben points to me. “Cruella de Vil, Jafar, the Evil Queen, and… Maleficent.”
Queen Belle gasps and King Ben’s mouth drops. “She is the most evil villain in the land, Ben!”
Ooh, Maleficent. From what I’ve heard, even my Aunt Winnie was afraid to tangle with the infamous dragon queen. Although not as big of a temper, Maleficent’s powers far surpass my family’s coven. Not that I’m afraid of her or her daughter, but I am curious as to how much Ben has thought this selection through. Cruella? Alright. Jafar? Why not? Evil Queen? A bit egotistic of herself but not everyone’s perfect. But Maleficent? One could say inviting any kin of hers is a recipe for disaster. I know he just wants to make his parents proud, but to what extent? In a way, he’s using these kids to prop up his image to make him seem more inclusive.
“We could let them stay for a semester and see if they can learn to fit in with our society?” I pitch. “I’d personally see to any magical mishaps.”
Ben gives me a thank-you thumbs up, while his parents are still stewing over the new idea.
“I suppose it would be a fresh perspective to invite other kids to the school…” Queen Belle thinks out loud.
King Beast still seems unconvinced, but says no rebuttal. “Very well. But remember, son, they’re your responsibility.”
I scrunch my nose. These are people we’re talking about, not dogs. Why are we acting as if they can’t think for themselves?”
“Well done,” Queen Belle whispers to Ben before she turns to leave with her husband.
Ben gives a surprised smile, but still seems unsure.
I walk up and pat his shoulder. “Don’t worry, you’ll make them proud. I know it. But I do have one condition for this new proclamation.”
Ben goes back to the impatient tailor. “What’s that, Sparks?”
I hold my head confidently. “Keep the charade that I’m an orphan. Don’t tell the new students I’m a VK. If they do plan on double-crossing us then I don’t want them to see me as an edge.”
Ben waves it off. “They won’t, Sparks. We’re offering them a second chance-”
“Yes, but even I have my doubts. Call it intuition, call it a foreshadowing spell, but I don’t trust anyone but my father and you. Don’t make me become torn between sides, Ben. I can’t promise I’ll be able to control my powers when extreme conflict breaks out.”
“Jeez, relax Sparks! You’re talking all mystic-magic like. It’s kinda creepy!”
I scoff. “Do not insult me by pretending to know anything about being cursed with this, Ben. You’re already the poster child for the good guys, at least give me leverage to be seen next to you as an advisor, and as a friend.”
“Aw, c’mere Sparks.” Ben wraps me up in a hug. “Don’t worry too much. You’re the best Advisor I could ever ask for, and you’re fitting right in!”
I smile. “Yeah, I guess I am.”
And maybe I can help these new VKs fit in too...

okay but. imagine Sheriff!Reader. basically Auditor makes a contract with the Reader instead of Sheriff.
rubbing my hands 2gether . you know what ive written too many fucked up readers i think i can write ONE pathetic meow meow reader <333 just went w/ audi for this but uhhh tee hee . if u want anyone else ... lmk
[ ONE brief mention of reader dying and being brought back at the end but otherwise no warnings needed ]
-you weren't the most famous in nevada, not by a long-shot, but your name was still one people could mention in passing conversation. you'd managed to amass a following of your own, getting a good few people under you that would support you. they weren't a whole lot, but the sentiment was enough that you felt pretty confident in your place.
-however, even that confidence you'd had so instilled in you wavered the moment the shadowy figure had walked into your office. you'd really just expected a slow-day, not even thinking too hard about the shakiness of one of your employees who'd come to let you know about you visitor in the first place.
-it was a simple enough offer, supplies in return for Hank's head. It was all too predictable, yet you couldn't say no. The help the AAHW could offer you and your group as a whole was nothing to sneer at, it'd be all too nice to have a few more hands on deck and some more supplies to keep you all afloat.
-you just had to hope you wouldn't come to regret it as you reached to shake their hand.
-Initially, she wasn't quite sure of what to make of you. On one hand, you definitely had some talent. You were good at getting people together and you were good at keeping morale up- something he was less than stellar at. Yet, there's always a risk of you backing out or being in over your head. Hank was no easy target, she knew this, you knew this, and you both knew he could tear you and your branch to shreds in the blink of an eye.
-Admittedly, she ends up fostering some respect for your willingness to try. It's not much, but many grunts in the same position would fold under the threat of near-assured death. You at least had the guts to give some kind of effort, something she highly appreciated. This only grows more with how you organize your group. Sure, it's nothing he would do, but he's never really made kind with any of his units. Your approach was far more hands-on than his ever was.
-He doesn't exactly have the time to supervise you, but he places some trust in that you can keep from falling apart. That said, he'll definitely send an agent of his to go check up on things in your branch every now and then. She finds herself impressed with the fact you've continued your efforts and have really dug your heels in, coming up with plan upon plan to try and limit casualties while maximising efficiency.
-Eventually, she starts making some time to go check on you herself, wanting to see just how you've managed to handle everything. It's certainly no easy feat to smoothly go from leader of a few to leader of many in a relatively small time-span. At first, she's really just viewing things in a purely analytical way, wanting to see just how you tick.
-It can almost be jarring to look over your shoulder and see her doing the same to you, focused entirely on something you'd been telling one of your men about. People slowly start to get used to it, expecting his presence following yours and ignoring him entirely. He offers his own little input here and there ("No, you shouldn't send them there. They'll know it's a trap and go somewhere else instead.") but for the most part he's just kind of . watching .
-At first, it was a little intimidating, but it grows on you once you realize it's really just his curiosity. You'll take the time to try and explain some of your reasoning to him while he just kinda . nods and listens. its the first time anyone's ever really seen him interact with someone so casually.
-He's getting attached before he even notices it, cringing a bit whenever he gets some accident report back detailing how some facility you'd been working on was raided and cleared out. He's not the best at emotional support, never really seeing or receiving it from any of his peers, but he'll hang around you and try to offer ways to avoid that. She distinctly remembers reading one and it just not leaving her mind. Not for any real reason, even, just stuck in there. She distinctly remembers her nails stopped tapping her desk when the thought of you being in one of those facilities came to mind.
-It's something he's entirely new to. Most Employers are relatively solitary, preferring to keep to themselves unless it was entirely beneficial to be around one another. Yet, you've managed to make him wanna stick around you. It's ALMOST funny. If not for the way she crosses her arms and zones out while standing around you. More than a few times now you've had to try and politely get her attention back while she just kinda . stares off into space .
-Eventually this boils into physical gestures, something as small as just putting a hand on your shoulder or more noticable like leaning over the back of your chair with her arms around your neck (more than a few times she's almost nicked you with her claws in her panic to straighten up whenever someone walks into your office to talk to you). If you ask her about it it just kinda stops at 'Do you want me to stop?' If you ask for her reasoning directly she just kind of. stares at you. looks away. looks back at you. and then changes the topic.
-EVENTUALLY . she will finally just kind of . suddenly grab you by the shoulders and ask you out in some weird way. 'Can i court you' babygirl what <3 . just be patient w/ her she has no fucking clue what she's doing. he tries to learn tho . for u
-If he wasn't around you before, he sure as hell is now. Obviously, you still both work on your own things and you have some time to yourself, but there's plenty of moments where you'll be in one of your offices together. He prefers if you stay at the same facility with him because he feels like he has much more of a chance to keep you safe if anything should happen .
-IF . you do get fucking GOT she most definitely finds a way to get you back. At that point you're absolutely stuck to her side for a bit. He's just paranoid if you're out of sight for too long he'll find out you're actually still in purgatory or that something else will go wrong. going off that one white hank interp of sheriff bc i liek it he's definitely the type to trace along the stitches and occasionally press a careful kiss to them. It makes him a little bit sad but he likes feeling them in sort of a grounding way . safe 2 say you won't get any taunting about them or anything else . your partner can turn into a Fucking Dragon. what are they gonna do then. fight????? yeah. sure. right. they'd rather keep their skin.

I'm having rottmnt au thoughts
I had the vague idea for an au the other day where like, when Casey went back in time to stop the Krang it actually created an alternate timeline, so the timeline Casey originally came from / the future timeline still exists (and is still very much a mess). And so upon discovering that, the team decides that they're somehow gonna go save Casey's original timeline as well?
So then today I had the thought of that, but when the team made like the time jump or whatever back to the future something went wrong, and different versions of themselves (so basically them at different points in time) were pulled and scattered across the timeline(s?) or something. And also the timeline itself gets majorly screwed up and a bunch of stuff probably starts overlapping.
I don't know where exactly it'd go from there but probably something along the lines of everyone trying to get back to their versions of their brothers while also trying to fix the timeline (and maybe they even manage to save the future time in the process).
I'm not entirely sure how I would divide everyone / how many versions of everyone there'd be? But currently I'm thinking of doing 4 versions of everyone (or 3 in Casey's case cuz he's younger).
So like:
Future/adults
Current/teen (Aka the ones who screwed up the timeline)
Child so like idk anywhere from 5-10 maybe?
And then babies or basically the turtles when they're human-toddler sized (cuz as adorable as they are as lil babies the size of your hand I don't want to be quite that mean to the teen/adult versions who'll have to take care of them).
And then there'd be 3 Casey's - toddler, child, and teen aka the one who helped mess up the timeline.
I did consider including some of the others like April or Splinter but decided that would be Too Many. So the explanation for why only the turtles + Casey got scattered across the timeline is cuz they were the only ones who went through the time portal (April & Splinter & everyone else stayed behind to hold down the fort while the turtles were gone). But there will most likely be versions of them at each point in the timeline it's just that they'll actually belong to that part of the timeline.
Anyways sorry if this is all kinda confusing so far.
So THEN I'm thinking all the different versions of the turltes+Casey got split into 3 groups and dropped into 3 different points in time: each point being inbetween the different points everyone was pulled from. But I'm still not entirely sure I'll go with this. And even if I do at this point the timeline is a jumbled mess with lots of different things overlapping.
ANYWAYS right now I need to figure out who all gonna be in each group and if anyone has any suggestions pls send em to me cuz I currently have no clue how to split everyone up.
And obviously there's a lot a details n stuff I need to work out but I'm not too worried about it
Seriously tho if anyone has any input at all I would greatly appreciate it <3

Hey Ludi, what do you think about Rogue's idea of Gambit joining the avengers? I find it strange; not to say shit because first he recommends it BUT THEN TELLS THEM THAT IT IS NOT TRUSTED, damn
Bittersweet Sabotage
“So,” Steve Rogers was saying, his demeanour business-like, “as I’m sure you’re aware, we’ve been reviewing Gambit as a potential candidate to join the team. And of course, we wanted to get your input, since you’re the one who knows him best.”
               Rogue was surprised.
“Gambit?” she repeated the name a little too loud, a little too agitatedly. “You’re reviewin’ him for membership?”
“Well, yeah.” Steve shrugged, looking a little nonplussed. “You weren’t expecting us to? You nominated him after all.”
She hesitated. Some part of her had figured that they would take one look at his background and unceremoniously throw out her recommendation without a second thought.
“Umm… well,” she scrambled for words, fingers subconsciously working the arm rests of the plush leather chair. “It’s kinda sudden. I didn’t think you’d be lookin’ into it so quickly and…”
She trailed off, not wanting to say out loud what she was thinking. Steve gave a small smile, misreading her expression and saying:
“Rogue, you’re a valued member of the team. Of course we’re going to take your recommendation seriously. I hope you’re not thinking we don’t appreciate your place on the Avengers.”
She opened her mouth to reply, to explain herself, then clamped it shut again. She figured it was better not to disabuse him of his assumption.
“So,” he began again, picking up the datapad from the desk, “we’ve been putting together a report, and we wanted to get your insight on a few things.”
Inwardly, Rogue was squirming. When Steve had asked to see her in his office, she’d expected a mission assignment, her vacation request to be denied, hell, even a demerit for getting into another heated scrap with Wanda the other night. This was far, far worse. She grit her teeth and ground out with forced bravado:
               “’Kay. Shoot.”
“Okay, well,” he began, too engrossed in the datapad to notice her suddenly chewing on her lip, “I guess you can start with the obvious. What made you recommend him?” He looked up at her again, gave her another one of the dazzling smiles only Steve Rogers could pull off. In normal circumstances it was the kind of smile that would’ve put her entirely at ease, but now she found herself tongue-tied and completely caught off-guard.
               What made you recommend him?
Good question. There were any number of answers she could’ve given him, the kind of answers she knew he would’ve loved to hear, but if she was being honest, none of them would’ve been the truth.
And there was no way she could confess the truth to anyone, let alone good ol’ Steve Rogers, Captain America. There was no way she could confess it was because she was still hung-up on the wily, good-for-nuthin’ Cajun. It was hard enough to admit to herself.
It was also pathetic because they weren’t together and hadn’t been for a while now, but he was still stuck in her system, the one relationship she’d given her all to, but that had left her chewed up and spat out, resentful, yet still undeniably in-love, despite it all.
She knows he sleeps with other women.
               Of course he does.
It hasn’t bothered her, because for a helluva long time she was consumed by her relationship with Erik, and now she’s been distracted with Wade and Johnny and Simon and just… well, superheroing, which is on a whole ‘nother level with the Avengers.
But when she’d seen him lying there in the snow with Joelle, her stomach had crashed right down into her boots. Traitorous feelings had welled up inside her and threatened to give her away there and then. Sure, she’d worn her usual bravado at the time. Tried not to be that ‘caricature of a nagging ex-girlfriend’ she was so hyper aware she shouldn’t be. It was only later – much later – that she’d realised that she’d practically admitted that she was still in-love with him, that the reason she was always there to have his back – ornery attitude and all – was because she couldn’t stand to lose him. Worse still, she was pretty sure he’d been able to read between the lines on that one, had been able to figure out exactly what she was feeling.
He was always so fucking good at that, and it was infuriating.
Things have ended bad with Joelle, and she tries to be the better person, tries not to be relieved. She knows he’s upset at the loss and she wants to comfort him so fucking bad, but she doesn’t know if it’s allowed anymore. She realises she doesn’t know how things stand between them now; her feelings have changed and she wants to reach out to him in ways she thinks are still forbidden.
He wouldn’t accept her now anyways. He’s too raw, he’s grieving. He’d push her away.
               He can’t look at her.
He’s sitting there on the other side of the screen, his wounds haphazardly patched up, drinking away his sorrows, or hoping he can. He’s so small and alone. And she wonders just how alone he’s been without her. How that loneliness has driven him to Joelle, into the arms of others.
Jealousy sears through her, hot and indignant, a possessiveness she knows she has no right to feel, yet has no power to deflect. A completely selfish compulsion takes her, and she finds herself blurting:
“Ever thought ‘bout bein’ an Avenger?”
It’s a great idea. Keep him close. Make sure he doesn’t get into any trouble. Be there for him if he needs it. Have him near… …
He doesn’t say no. He says he’ll think about it.
She allows herself to nurture the idea that he might actually say ‘yes’. She goes straight to the others and pitches the man she still loves before she can talk herself out of it.
               Rogue cleared her throat.
“Remy ain’t a teacher,” she said, “he’s a fighter, and he’s a good one at that. The X-Men have got him in the classroom, and while he’s great with the kids, it’s not where his heart is. He needs to be on the frontline. The boy’s got talents, and they only come out when he’s part of a team, fightin’ the good fight. Lord knows he’s proved himself enough on that score, and then some.”
Steve nodded, scrolling absently through the file on his datapad.
“That’s quite the glowing reference,” he smiled slightly. “But you know that I’m aware of, uh… how intimate your past relationship with Gambit was, if I can put it that way… right?”
Rogue blinked, said nothing. Steve’s smile turned apologetic.
“So… I’m going to challenge you to be impartial. If there’s one con Gambit has, can you tell me what it would be?”
The request was so unexpected, it almost made her start.
“There’s nothin’,” she answered, almost too quickly. “Nothin’ I can think of anyway.”
“Really?” He raised a disbelieving eyebrow, and she bristled a bit, said:
               “You don’t believe me?”
               He shrugged easily.
“Well, every couple has something they could improve in each other. Something that bugs them, or gets on their nerves. So I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think you know what some of his shortcomings, his foibles, might be.”
She chewed on her lip again, the dreaded word bubbling up inside her. Trust. Trust had always been this tentative issue between them, unspoken throughout both the best and the worst of the times they’d shared. But she refrained from saying it, because whatever the status of their relationship, whatever the hurt they’d inflicted on one another, she would always trust him to have her back out in the field, a hundred percent. And that’s what mattered with the Avengers.
“There really isn’t anything,” she asserted. “Unless you’re talkin’ about him hordin’ beers and shamin’ me with his wild cookin’ skills.” She half-smiled, suddenly caught up in some pleasant memories, before shaking herself and adding more seriously, “But where it matters, he’s reliable. Unpredictable and unconventional, sometimes, but reliable. He gets the job done, and he always does it well. If he was on the team, I’d count on him with my life. With all our lives.”
But could she trust him in her presence? Could she trust herself in his?
What if this glowing reference got him the job? What if he did end up on the team? What if she had to face him, every day?
She’s already ten minutes late for a team meeting, and she’s power walking because she knows Wanda’s already gonna tear her another one and she’s angry with herself for even giving a shit about that bitch right now.
She hears his laugh even before she rounds a corner, all soft and silky as she remembers, and it’s too late, she’s made that corner before she can even think about it, and…
“Yeah, chere,” he’s saying, “you’re right. Alex is a total douchebag. And believe me, comin’ out here t’see your ex is a total waste of time anyways.”
The words seem as if they’re directed right at her and she halts, suddenly breathless as if he’s sucker punched her in the gut.
He’s standing outside the meeting room with Lorna, all close and casual – too close and casual – and damn, he looks fine in that new uniform of his, without that stupid trenchcoat hiding his gorgeous body, and…
She flushes as she involuntarily recalls all the things that body has done to her, back in a bedroom in a perfect little seaside town called Valle Soleada……
And God, if she hasn’t just got out of a training session, scrubbed the makeup off her face, and ditched the shower because she was already running late…
She’s about to turn tail and flee – Wanda’s moods be damned – but suddenly he’s looking over, he’s seen her already. The easy smile drops from his face, and somewhere in the back of her mind it kills to know it’s her presence that has that effect on him.
“Hey, Rogue,” he says neutrally, when they both realise Lorna’s seen her too, and neither can make an excuse and back out now.
She walks on over, kicking herself a thousand times over because why didn’t she just go ahead and have that damn shower?!
“Oh, hi, Rogue,” Lorna greets her flippantly, absently. She’s worked up about something. Probably Alex, judging by what Remy had just been saying. It’s obvious Lorna doesn’t want to talk to her, that her mind’s on other things.
“Hey.” She steps into their space… but not too close. She’s all too aware of the sweat trapped beneath the second skin of her spandex uniform and she doesn’t want to think about how she probably smells right now. “You’re lookin’ good, Lorna.”
She’d meant it as polite conversation – it’s been a long time since she’s seen Lorna, and they’re both far from close – but it had been the truth. She doesn’t know who designed those new X-Factor costumes, but they look pretty darn sexy for a Z-tier superhero outfit. Remy looks as delectable as he’s ever been, and she’s consciously telling herself to breathe because she can barely stand it. Lorna, meanwhile, is looking at her like she’d like to return the compliment but can’t find an excuse to do so.
               “Thanks,” she says instead.
An awkward silence ensues. She’s trying not to look at him, but she can feel his eyes on her, just like they’d always been on her. Softly assessing, in a way she now can’t read. He’s standing close to Lorna, with this familiarity that makes her heart ache. She has this horrible feeling… … But c’mon, they’re just teammates, they’re just friends, right?
She remembers overhearing Jean telling ‘Ro that Lorna had been all over the male stripper that had performed at her hen party, before her aborted wedding to Alex. At the time she’d laughed that he’d been dressed up as Remy, but now… now her heart is in her stomach and she’s trying not to imagine Lorna actually being all over her ex.
“If you’re here to see Alex,” she blurts out, desperately wanting this whole horrible conversation to be over, “he’s in a meetin’ right now. Probably won’t be out for another 30 minutes. You sure you wanna wait that long?”
She scolds herself as soon as she says it. Why couldn’t she have been more discreet, more diplomatic, less pointed? What the hell is wrong with her?
At first she thinks that Lorna will tell her to butt out, in that cutting, imperious way the daughters of Erik do so well, but instead she thinks about it a moment, puts her arm through Remy’s in a way that looks entirely far too familiar, and declares: “You know, Remy, you’re right. Alex is a waste of time. There’s no point in waiting around just to remind him we’re not together and to get over it.”
Remy says nothing. But she can still feel his eyes on her.
Lorna half-turns, her arm still linked with his, before she seems to think of something and looks back at Rogue haughtily, saying: “If you’re going to see Alex, tell him we’re done, will you, please? And he can stop sending people to spy on me, and learn to mind his own goddamn business.”
And she stalks off, leading Remy away with her.
Rogue stares after them, her heart in her mouth. She wants to feel angry, indignant, but all that’s left is this lonely numbness, and she can’t. Not even when he shoots her a dispassionate look over his shoulder, before disappearing round a corner. She thinks she can stand his anger, disdain. She feels certain he knows all about the time she’s spent messing around with Wade, with Johnny Storm, enough that she feels she’s probably earned his rancour. But this, this impassive stare… it hurts harder, it hurts deeper. It makes her feel like he’s given up caring, like he’s given up waiting for good.
When he’s gone from her sight she feels as cold as that winter night she left him in Antarctica.
“Okay,” Steve was saying, the word shaking her out of her thoughts. “Well, I guess if that’s all you have to add, then we’re done here.”
               “Really?”
               She was surprised.
“Yes. I don’t think I have any other questions. You gave a pretty thorough report when you pitched him, and I’ve made notes on what everyone else’s thoughts are. I just thought I’d tie up any loose ends with yourself. So… yeah. I’ll let you know what the outcome is.”
               She stood, paused.
Why was her blood suddenly running cold?
I’m your home, your harbour, he’d said to her. You’ll come to me when you know that. But don’t come to me before. Which means – for now – don’t come to me at all.
Was she ready for them to be in the same space again? To try again? Since seeing him with Lorna all those weeks ago, she had been surprised to acknowledge that her feelings were there, and they were still strong. But was she ready to face them? That was a whole other question. She wasn’t much interested in playing around with other guys right now, but she wasn’t convinced she was ready for him either. And what if he was seeing someone else? Lorna… or someone she didn’t even know about?
Not possible, she thought. I would’a heard somethin’ about it, just like he’s prob’ly heard about me and Wade, and me and Johnny… Not to mention me and Erik… …
               But still… …
He didn’t need to be with anybody. Just the thought of him not coming back some nights and her wondering where he was… …
Her stomach churned ominously. The idea of them having to work on the same team, hang out in the same places all over again, just like at the mansion, with all of this mess between them… God, the idea of it scared the ever-living daylights out of her.
Almost as much as the idea that he might be totally over her, might have already moved on.
It was only now that she could really admit that she hadn’t fully closed the door on them.
“Actually, there is somethin’,” she found herself saying before she could stop herself.
               “Yes?”
Steve looked up at her quizzically, prompting her to continue, and so she took in a breath and said: “Trust.”
And once she’d started, she couldn’t stop.
“He’s an X-Men, yes. A hundred percent. But he’s also head of the Thieves Guild. A family he loves, that he grew up being a part of, that rescued him off the streets. It’s as much a part of his DNA as the X gene is. And ultimately, you won’t never be able t’ fully trust Remy LeBeau, because no matter the good he does, he’ll always be a thief at heart.”
There. She’d said it. The truth. And she’d sabotaged everything she’d tried to make come true. This stupid fantasy of keeping him close, while keeping them apart. The dumbest idea she’d ever had.
“Thank you, Rogue,” Steve answered with quiet sincerity, as if he knew what it had cost her. “I appreciate your honesty.”
She gave a brief nod. How much that simple, staid movement hid, she’d never be able to admit.
He’s still in with a chance, she told herself, they already knew about his criminal past, but they were still considerin’ him.
But she knew she was kidding herself. She knew her words held weight where he was concerned, and there were any number of things she could’ve said to convince the Avengers that having an active criminal in their midst wouldn’t make a dent in their PR, their squeaky-clean image. They’d taken a gamble on her, on Logan, after all. But Remy… Remy, she knew… now she’d made him way too hot for them to handle.
And for me to handle, she thought grimly to herself as she headed out Steve’s office. The door gave a final click behind her. It’s better this way, she told herself sternly, only half believing it as she thought it. It’s much better this way.

My Thoughts on Tudo Igual SQN
Tudo Igual SQN is a Brazilian Disney+ show that released about a month ago. It includes 10 episodes, all around 30 minutes long. While I watched in Portuguese with Portuguese subs, there are many dubs and subs available for watchers.
My quick review? I enjoyed the show, and you can too as long as you are sure to skip 34:28-36:02 in the final episode. The entire show can easily operate without those 2 minutes and it's much better for it. Beyond this point, there will be spoilers.
In general, I enjoyed the characters, but the supporting cast was far more compelling to me than the main cast. I will summarize my thoughts on the characters below.
Carol: While I often found myself irritated with the character, Carol's struggles and attitude seems realistic for a girl her age. She's upset that she will not be the only object of her mother's affection, she annoyed with a future-stepbrother who is making her life harder, and she feels betrayed when her best friend starts going our with said future stepbrother. She hears her mom discuss her life before having her and feels guilty. All of these things can lead to someone acting out. In the end, she works through these issues. What IS concerning is that in the final episode (and maybe the one before), we start to see some... strange... feelings towards Tomás manifesting themselves in her body language. Then, she lets Tomás kiss her. Her expression and body language after seems somewhat distressed, so maybe it was a fight/flight/freeze response if we're going to give her the benefit of the doubt, but come on... did that really have to happen at all? The show could EASILY stand on its own without that plot point.
Tomás: Yes, his father left him with his grandmother to raise him. Yes, he got picked up and moved to a new city without much input. No, for me, that's not enough to justify his behavior for most of the show. And it's definitely not enough to justify him kissing Carol immediately after their parents tied the knot. I recognize that the two aren't related, and perhaps if they had met before their parents did it would be different, but to me, the knowledge that kissing your step-sibling is weird should be enough to override whatever attraction/hormones would motivate that decision. Like dude, you (sort of) had Beta. Why was this necessary? I appreciate how he becomes less annoying during the show, but I can't let this go.
Beth and Carlos: Beth is a good mother. She's given up a lot for Carol and she deserves happiness. Idk about Carlos. I'm more or less ambivalent about him. I wasn't paying as much attention in a couple of his scenes, so I missed a few things.
Trix: Oh, Trix. Trix is my girl. Trix is so relatable to me. Trix was bullied for being the smart kid and now she's trying her best to fit in while still pursuing academic validation. She's crushed when she isn't accepted into the film program. As a Smart Kid with Social Issues, my accomplishments would fill the void my lack of close friendships left, so not achieving what I set out to achieve hurt with the same intensity of a breakup. I imagine Trix processes things similarly. Trix is also a peacekeeper: she cherishes the friends she has and is very afraid of the group falling apart, another feeling I have related to. I debated for a while whether to hc her as a lesbian or as bisexual, as there could be a compelling argument for both, but I'm kinda feeling lesbian here. For the aforementioned reasons, the unconditional support of Bruno made her feel good, to the point of her perhaps feeling like she was attracted to him. She probably does love him, as a friend, and always will. Figuring out your sexuality when you are a woman who isn't attracted to men is hard because that is what is expected from you, and in the process, you may end up unintentionally hurting people. I have hurt boys I really cared about for that same reason in the past, and I have regret and grief over it. I don't think that makes me a bad person. I don't think that makes Trix a bad person either. Bruno was a little jealous, clingy, but he was a good guy. I think it's important that he was, because it represents a very real situation some girls find themselves in. I hope Trix and Bruno can have an honest conversation, and that Bruno has some time to himself to heal from that, and that they can become good friends again. And I hope Trix has a chance to find a really nice girl. She feels like she must be perfect, so accepting that she likes girls is a battle she has to keep fighting, but she'll get there with help from her friends.
Beta: Beta is realistic for sure. Was (sort of) going out with Tomás in good taste? No. But she doesn't get enough attention from her parents, so naturally she would have a desire to pursue the first boy who gives her the time of day. In the end, she is a good friend to Carol, a better friend to Carol than Carol is to her, so I can't fault her. I don't have much more to say about her. I wish her the best.
Amanda: I love her! She's boy-crazy but again, it's realistic. I've met plenty of girls like her. But it's not the only thing about her. She's incredibly perceptive. She's the only one to notice what's going on with Pri and Trix. She notices other things about the character and gently steers conversations. She's underrated as someone who holds them together. She's definitely one of my favorites.
Pri: Gotta love her. She has already self-actualized in most ways. She knows what she believes in, she's confident, and she's a supportive friend, even as a newer member of the group. Whether or not her and Trix end up together in the long run is not really something I'm concerned about. She played in important role in Trix's journey, and as long as they maintain some sort of relationship, I would be happy.
Bruno: Most of what I have to say about Bruno has already been touched on in Trix's section. He's a good guy. He has his faults, but he really does try. I don't think him and Trix would work out even if she wasn't attracted to girls, because high school relationships that burn that brightly rarely last, but I hope he finds someone good.
Bernardo: A nice guy as well. We respect a reader. Again, he has his faults, but nothing extreme. He's a little jealous, moves a little too fast, but is adequately romantic and a FAR better choice than Tomás for anyone. Hopefully, Carol gets her head on straight. At the same time though, they also have a little bit of HS relationship vibe. I might like a slow burn of Carol and Beta more, but that's just my bias. He's a perfectly good option, and Carol and Beta being very close friends with no romantic undertones is perfectly fine as well.
So, those are my thoughts on the characters. The setting was very aesthetically pleasing, especially the bakery. The conflicts each girl faced felt realistic. If it weren't for the Carol/Tomás kiss, I would wholeheartedly recommend the show to everyone. Why did they do that??? I think the show can be enjoyed if we collectively choose to ignore that. Yes, there are moments throughout that hint at what will happen, but we can ignore those as well. It just has so much potential that I don't want to write it off for that. But at the same time, I’m not sure if it can be ignored. I’m just mad because the cast and characters deserved better than that.
One day, I may rewatch with English subs. I understood the show, but there were definitely turns of phrases I missed just because I don't know some words. Multi-lingual people understand. Still, it was important for me to stretch my Portuguese muscles, which is why I watched it how I did. If you got this far, wow. Thanks for reading. Leave your thoughts in the notes.
