Top 15 Fictional Trains
Tumblr media
In the words of a random bit of silliness courtesy from the Internet, “I like trains.”
(SLAM-HONK-SPLAT.)
…If you got that reference…yay. XD
But seriously: ever since I was a boy, I’ve always had a fascination with the railway. From real-life trains and railways of great repute, to various fictional railroads and their engines found in books, video games, movies, and more. I’m not the only one: the railroad has always held an enduring sense of intrigue for all sorts of people all over the world. Something about these great Iron Horses, racing along the tracks, seeming to fly across the landscape with such grace and speed, remains iconic. From steam locomotives to more modern diesel engines and electric trains, the sense of power, speed, and the symbolization of ever-moving progress they embody will forever be indelible. Whether you’re fascinated by the real history and technical aspects of railways and their engines, or just see them as a fun visual motif, they aren’t going away.
I thought it would be fun to talk about some of my favorite fictional trains and engines, because…well…I just want to. Yeah, I’m not tying this one into anything, there’s no special occasion, I just…want to talk about them. Is that so wrong? I hope not. Now, this will be specifically dedicated to FICTIONAL trains, so you won’t be seeing real railway constructs on this list. And, of course, I have to know about the trains in question in order for them to count. (SPOILER ALERT: “Infinity Train” is nowhere on this list. I’ve never seen it, probably never will, and basically don’t know anything about it.) With that said, let’s get on with it! Full Steam Ahead! These are My Top 15 Favorite Fictional Trains.
Tumblr media
15. The Rainbow Sun, from Shining Time Station/Thomas & the Magic Railroad.
It is pure nostalgia, above all else, that gets this train onto the list. The Rainbow Sun was the main engine piloted by Billy Twofeathers: chief engineer of the Indian Valley Railroad. This was the railway line serviced by the titular depot in “Shining Time Station.” The show, of course, was a showcase for the animated series “Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends,” during the 1990s; Shining Time and all of its characters acted as a framing device, with episodes of Thomas (usually connected in some way to the central plot) interspersed into the story. In the original TV series, the Rainbow Sun was portrayed by the Union Pacific 844. When the film “Thomas and the Magic Railroad” - which combined elements of Shining Time Station with Thomas & Friends - was made, all of the scenes at Shining Time were shot on the Strasburg Railroad. Strasburg’s 475 stood in for the Rainbow Sun. (That’s the version pictured here, since my guess is more people will recognize the movie than the TV show version.) There’s really not much to say about the Rainbow Sun, I just…like this train. Both versions. Both the movie and the show were a part of my childhood; this train, in each incarnation, is much the same.
Tumblr media
14. The Sea Railway, from Spirited Away.
“Spirited Away” is widely considered one of the finest animated fantasy films ever made. Released by the world-renowned Studio Ghibli, this picture - like many of Ghibli’s greatest works - was the brainchild of the mighty Hayao Miyazaki, and is known for its sense of surreal, bizarre, at times nightmarish visuals and scenarios, as well as its fun and fascinating cast of crazy characters. One of the less bonkers elements of the film, yet also one of the most memorable, is the Sea Railway: while the scene where this train appears is brief, it is nevertheless very fondly recalled. In the scene, the main character - Sen - travels with her newfound friend, the mysterious No Face, to find the enchantress named Zeniba. The pair hop aboard the Sea Railway: a double diesel rail car that runs on tracks across the ocean. This is a scene all about visuals, that is both spectacular and yet shockingly peaceful. No dialogue, just the emotions of the music and the animation, as the strange railcar glides across the sea. Like several other trains on this list, its time in the film is short, but the moment is immortal.
Tumblr media
13. The Ghost Train, from Casper: A Spirited Beginning.
This is a pretty “bleh” movie, in my opinion. A prequel to the 1995 film “Casper” (based on the comic and cartoon character of Casper the Friendly Ghost), this film tells the origins of the titular character. (They are nowhere near as interesting and exciting as they probably should be.) However, I’ve always had a soft spot for one particular part of the movie: the opening sequence. Why? Well, the movie starts off actually quite promising, with the ghostly Casper - freshly dead (how pleasant) - waking up on the Ghost Train. There have been many kinds of ghost trains in fiction over the years; in this case, it’s a railroad which transports souls to the afterlife. The Train is pure nightmare fuel of the best kind: a battered old steam train, carrying a heavy rake of carriages, with a crimson skull for a smokebox, its glowing eyes acting as the headlamps. Damned souls spew from its funnel in lieu of steam, skeletal limbs act as its coupling rods, and inside its chattering mandibles are a horde of black cats. The furniture inside the coaches is made from bones, only adding to its macabre sense of style. While it’s only onscreen for a few minutes (the opening, plus a couple of scenes later), this Ghost Train nevertheless made a big impression on me as a kid, and it was by far the best part of the film…which gives you a good idea of how bad the movie is, sadly. Still, points where points are due: this train is still pretty epic to this day.
Tumblr media
12. The Time Train, from Back to the Future: Part III.
What’s cooler than a DeLorean? The answer is…well…probably the TARDIS, if anything, BUT BESIDES THAT I’d say a flying, time-traveling steam locomotive definitely deserves some credit! In the climax of the third and final pillar of the “Back to the Future” Trilogy, our heroes engage in a daring chase scene involving a runaway steam train. At the end of the film, Doc Brown reappears before Marty McFly, and reveals he’s “recycled” the busted engine to create a time traveling train, colloquially and appropriately called the Time Train by most fans. (It’s also sometimes referred to as the Jules Verne Train, but I’ve always liked Time Train more: it’s catchier and simpler.) While I love the look of the Time Train, once again, it’s not onscreen for very long, and doesn’t honestly do THAT much in the grand scheme of things. It’s not even clear, despite what I’ve said, if this is the same engine as the one from earlier in the film, or just a very similar one, since the aforementioned steam train did sort of…well…friggin’ EXPLODE. Regardless, it’s a memorable engine, and has long been a fan favorite. Definitely worthy of placement in the Top 12.
Tumblr media
11. The Soviet Missile Train, from Goldeneye.
One of the few non-steam engines to be mentioned on this countdown, this diesel engine is also one of the most sinister creations on the list. This armored passenger train is interesting in that it actually doubles a mobile secret headquarters: in the James Bond film “Goldeneye,” the main villain, Alec Trevelyan (a.k.a. Janus), rides around in this battering-ram-on-wheels with his henchman. The train is based on real-life armored trains owned by the Soviet Union, but has been exaggerated to give it a more outright evil, almost futuristic sort of look, with a sharpened nose and colored all in black, with blood red Soviet Stars on the sides. The train is destroyed when Bond first derails it with a tank (because of course he does, he’s James-flipping-Bond), and Trevelyan - forced to abandon his mobile HQ - blows up what remains in attempt to destroy his nemesis. The Missile Train made a memorable appearance in the Nintendo 64 video game adaptation of the film, where the players - as Bond - would have to make their way inside and around the train to take out Trevelyan’s goons and save our resident Bond Girl for the evening, Natalya Simova. Whether you love it best for the movie or the game, this big black beast is definitely one of the fiercest things to ever ride the rails.
Tumblr media
10. The Wanderer, from Wild Wild West.
Much like the previous entry on the list, this steam engine proves that if there’s one thing cooler than a spy car, it’s a spy train. “Wild Wild West” was a TV series that was a sort of off-kilter combination of the spy film and Western genres. The plot focused on a pair of clever cowboys - Jim West and Artemus Gordon - who worked for a special branch of the U.S. Secret Service. They rode around the country, stopping crimes and committing acts of espionage against evil masterminds. To accomplish this, the pair traveled via a luxurious private passenger train called the Wanderer. In the series, the Wanderer was largely portrayed via stock footage of Inyo, an engine that, at the time, served the Baltimore Locomotive Works. The Train was basically just a mobile headquarters for the duo; it didn’t exactly do much, but it allowed for an interesting“Home Base” location to see in every episode, and it helped make the series a bit more unique. In the later 1999 movie version, starring Will Smith as Jim West (that’s the one pictured here, for the same reasons as the previously discussed Rainbow Sun), the famous engine the William Mason was used to portray the Wanderer. While the film is basically a giant mess, I’ve actually always had a sort of soft spot for it; it’s a guilty pleasure, to say the least. Part of what I liked was the way the movie “suped up” the Wanderer: not only was the train an HQ-on-wheels for the spy-fighting duo, but now it was basically the equivalent of having a Bond Car riding the rails, with all kinds of gadgets and secrets hidden in the engine and its coaches. Even if you don’t like the movie (trust me, you aren’t alone there), or never saw the series, I defy you to say the Wanderer isn’t pretty cool.
Tumblr media
9. The Infernal Train, from Alice: Madness Returns.
Not all trains are colorful, whimsical, and fun to ride. Perhaps no fictional train in history has been quite as forbidding as the Infernal Train from “Alice: Madness Returns,” the sequel to the cult classic video game “American McGee’s Alice.” For those who don’t know, the games focus on a grown-up Alice having to traverse through a twisted, warped, morbid reimagining of Wonderland; shaped by her own trauma and insanity into a chaotic nightmare world. At the end of the first game, however, Alice is able to conquer her fears and problems, and seemingly goes off onto a happy ending…but in the second game, we soon learn it wasn’t that easy. When Alice returns to Wonderland, it at first seems to be back to how it should be, but it quickly becomes clear that new threats and new problems are once again causing it to steadily fall into a state of hellish doom. The centerpiece of all this horror is the Infernal Train: a massive locomotive, seemingly built from a Gothic cathedral, which soars through the skies of Wonderland, spreading a tar-like substance called Ruin wherever it goes, destroying everything in its path. Alice’s mission is to find out who is responsible for the Infernal Train, and stop it in its tracks before it completely obliterates Wonderland forever. The Train is almost a character in and of itself in the game; a force of nature, the presence of which is a constant source of dread. It’s one of the most sinister locomotives ever created, and memorably so. It has well-earned its place in my personal Top 10.
Tumblr media
8. Casey Junior, from Dumbo.
Whenever I think of the phrase “Circus Train,” the first thing I think of is this whimsical train from the classic Disney movie, “Dumbo.” The whole movie focuses on the adventures of the titular character - a baby elephant with abnormally large ears - during his stay at a fictional circus. The circus travels from city to city, town to town, via the Casey Junior Circus Train, so called after its lead locomotive, Casey Junior. (The name is a reference to the famous engineer, Casey Jones, who would appear in his own animated Disney cartoon…but that’s another story.) Casey is the first train on this list who isn’t just a vehicle, but actually a real CHARACTER, with his own sentience and intelligence. He speaks in a voice that is made to mimic the puffing of steam, and seems to be a hardworking, determined, slightly child-like little engine. And, given the broad smile painted on his smokebox, we can presume he very much enjoys his work. Casey Junior has reappeared several times in the Disney canon since the release of Dumbo. Most notably, a non-sentient rendition of him appears in Tim Burton’s live-action remake of the original film, and there’s also a kids’ ride at Disneyland called the Casey Junior Circus Train. There’s also a water attraction at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World called the Casey Junior Splash and Soak Station. No matter where he shows up, this chipper Circus Train is as confident as he is colorful.
Tumblr media
7. Tootle.
So far, all of the trains we’ve talked about have come from screen treatments: movies, TV, and video games. This is our first engine on the list who originates from a book. “Tootle” is one of many titles in the classic Little Golden Books collection of stories, and focuses on its titular character: a rather silly steam train by the name of Tootle. Young Tootle is a brand new locomotive, still a child, who goes to the town of Lower Trainswitch, “where all the baby locomotives go to learn to become big locomotives.” Tootle wants to grow up to become a Flyer engine, a fast express train, so he studies very hard…but there’s one important lesson he has trouble with: “Stay on the Rails, No Matter What.” Tootle is a curious little engine, and he starts leaving the tracks to play in the meadow and explore off the rails. With help from his teacher, an old engineer named Bill, Tootle learns that, while there’s nothing necessarily wrong with dreaming, shirking one’s responsibilities and ignoring safety is never wise. It’s interesting to see stories like “Tootle,” which effectively teach children, “know your place.” At first, that probably sounds overly authoritarian and ill-advised, but in truth, sometimes it’s genuinely important to know one’s boundaries and limits: we all have dreams and desires we wish we could fulfill, but it’s important to know which dreams and desires are worth chasing, and which ones could just lead to trouble. The book is one of the most popular in the Little Golden Books series; in fact, in 2001, it was named the third best-selling English children’s book of all time! The story has been adapted to a PC game, a children’s audiobook, and more. The character of Tootle himself also appeared in the animated series “Little Golden Book Land,” inspired by the entire collection. I read a lot of these books as a kid, and “Tootle” was always my favorite. He and his tale are definitely worth placement in the Top 10.
Tumblr media
6. Chugs, from The Easter Bunny is Comin’ to Town.
This somewhat obscure Rankin/Bass special is a follow-up/sequel to their more popular Christmas TV tale, “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town.” Just as that holiday special told the origins of Santa Clause, this one tells the origins of the Easter Bunny. Part of these origins is explaining how the Easter Bunny gets around the world. Cue this little fellow: Chugs, a talking train whom the Easter Bunny - named Sunny - saves from possible scrap. Chugs is a little old engine whom no one ever uses, so Sunny buys him, cleans him up till he’s shiny and new again, and paints him in springtime colors. Chugs is thus given the job of piloting the little white rabbit and his train of Easter eggs, jellybeans, and other gifts for children all around the land. He also brings mail to the Easter Bunny’s home. (Because…well…we had to justify Fred Astaire returning as a singing mailman SOMEHOW, didn’t we?) I am convinced the reason anybody remembers this special at all is ENTIRELY because of this stop-motion animated locomotive. He’s certainly a big part of why I remember the movie; as a kid, I used to wish I could have a toy train of Chugs, so obviously, he’s got a soft spot deep in my heart. Oh, one other thing: Chugs is referred to as “the Famous Little Engine Who Could” in the story, which…I guess means this film technically also counts as an adaptation of that. Go figure. Speaking of which…
Tumblr media
5. The Little Engine That Could.
This classic children’s book is actually based on an old folk story, which has been passed down through the generations. The railway folktale has changed over the years, but it’s the storybook publication written by Arnold Munk (published under the pen name “Watty Piper”) that has become the most well-known. In this version of the story, a train full of sentient toys and treats (I guess they must be riding through Toyland) breaks down on its way to bring its cargo to a town full of good little children on the other side of a tall mountain. The toys try to get various other trains to stop and help, but all of them refuse, either being too tired or too stuck-up. Just when all hope seems lost, a Little Blue Engine arrives, and she promises to get the train of toys and goodies to the town. All the way on the journey, the Little Blue Engine repeats a simple mantra: “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.” Finally, her determination proves true, and the Little Blue Engine succeeds in pulling the train over the mountain. It’s a simple little story, which teaches a simple little message, but that’s really all it needs to be. The tale has been referenced, paid homage, and adapted numerous times: Chugs, of course, is inspired by the folktale, and even Casey Junior references it in a scene from Dumbo. My personal favorite adaptation is an animated short film made in the 1990s, which expanded on the story as written by Watty Piper, and featured voicework by many veteran performers; Kath Soucie plays the Little Blue Engine, and Megatron and Optimus Prime themselves - Frank Welker and Peter Cullen - also play characters in the story, just to name a few. Another adaptation of the Piper version was made in 2011, inspired by the 1990s short subject; that one featured talents like Whoopi Goldberg, Patrick Warburton, and Jamie Lee Curtis, again, just to name a few. No matter which take on the children’s story you look at, its simplicity is as immortal as the tale itself. I think one can say this Little Engine has many more mountains to cross before its story is truly finished.
Tumblr media
4. The Rainbow Line, from Ressha Sentai ToQger.
“Hold on a second!” I hear you all cry. “That’s not a train! That’s a freaking robot!” Well, you’re right, and you’re wrong. It is, in fact, a giant mech made out of magical trains. Yes, you read that correctly. No, I am not drunk. Perhaps I should start from the beginning: “Ressha Sentai ToQger” is my personal favorite entry in the Super Sentai franchise. This series is basically the original version of Power Rangers: that show is essentially made, for those who don’t know, by Americanizing the Super Sentai shows in Japan. While both use some of the same footage and costumes, and follow the same basic plot points of colorful heroes fighting rubber suited monsters and using giant mechs for each final battle, the stories and characters are often very different. “ToQger” is one of the few Sentai series that hasn’t really been adapted into Power Rangers (at least not yet), and I rather hope it stays that way. In this one, the visual motif is - you guessed it - trains, with the Rangers using magical trains as their transportation system, as well as the means through which they battle the monsters when “giant mech time” happens. I don’t know what possessed Japan to make “Thomas the Tank Engine: Power Rangers Edition,” but I’m very glad it happened, because this show is amazing. The trains of the Rainbow Line - the good faction of the series (the villains are called The Shadow Line, and they have their own transforming locomotives to do battle with) - are all unique and colorful, and it’s honestly pretty cool to see how they all come together to from the massive machines the Rangers use in combat. There’s a toylike quality to all of the engines (which I think is intentional, given the themes of this series), and I would sincerely LOVE to have real toys of each and every one of them. If a fleet of locomotives that can turn into a sword-wielding, laser-blasting battle mech DOESN’T sound equal parts crazy and cool to you…I would like to know what does.
Tumblr media
3. The Polar Express.
The top three choices on this list all have the same things in common: all of them started as trains in books, primarily aimed at children, but have since become massively popular largely due to the adaptations of said works. The first of these is the titular train from the classic Christmas story, “The Polar Express.” Originally appearing in a book written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg, the story arguably achieved critical mass when it was adapted into the still-very-popular 2004 animated film. The movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis, and starred Tom Hanks in multiple roles. Both are still considered staples of the Yuletide season. Both the film and the book have the same premise: the main character is a Boy who is whisked away by the titular magic train, which transports a group of children to the North Pole. It’s revealed that one of these children will have the honor of being given the First Gift of Christmas by Santa Claus himself that year. It’s a tale of belief and faith, both in oneself and in things beyond our ken. The book is well-known for its remarkable illustrative artistry, and the movie mostly lives up to it. Ever since the film came out, at least, it’s become quite popular around Christmas time for heritage railways around the world to have Polar Express outings, dressing up their engines and coaches to resemble the titular locomotive and its train. I’ve never gone on one of these trips, but even at my age, I’d still very much like to if I ever get a chance. The idea of this enchanted engine, racing through snow and mist to a place only children can understand, remains as powerful as it is entrancing. I dare say Christmas would not be Christmas without some version of the Polar Express.
Tumblr media
2. The Hogwarts Express, from Harry Potter.
On the note of the idea of a magical, secret train that carries one off to a land of mystical wonderment…if one such express line can beat the Polar Express on that front, it would have to be the Hogwarts Express. Hidden away at the exclusive, disguised-by-magic Platform Nine-and-Three-Quarters, and painted in vivid crimson livery, this passenger line is every aspiring wizard or witch’s dream come true. While the train, itself, seems fairly ordinary, many of the most memorable scenes in the Harry Potter stories take place aboard or around the engine and its carriages: from Harry’s first encounters with Ron and Hermione, to a flying car chase scene, to the first appearance of the Dementors, and more, many fans of the films and the novels alike well-remember the mystery and awe of the Hogwarts Express, both inside and out. In the films, the locomotive was portrayed by Olton Hall, a stately engine originally made in service to the famous Great Western Railway. It is currently preserved and on static display in London. Famously, the train was recreated into a full-scale, functioning electric line for Universal Orlando, where it acts as both a mode of transport and its own attraction. The Hogwarts Express there carries guests between the Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, with a special show inside the engine that makes it seem like you really are riding the rails between Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. Having gone on the ride myself, I can safely say it is an experience even casual fans of the Harry Potter fans should enjoy at least once in a lifetime.
Tumblr media
1. Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends.
How many of us first became fascinated with railways, and especially steam trains, thanks to Thomas and his friends? I know I certainly did. Before things like Batman or Alice in Wonderland, “Thomas & Friends” was my first childhood obsession. I collected toys like crazy, gobbled up the VHS tapes (yeah, remember those?), and even read a number of books, including the original “Railway Series” books the TV show was based on (written by the late, great Reverend W. Awdry.) The TV show got started in the UK during the 1980s, and is still being produced and aired to this day. Naturally, over time, it has undergone some changes: originally, the series was produced using animated model trains. Then it transitioned to CGI for a spell…currently, the show has been completely retooled into the series “All Engines Go!” with 2D animation. Everyone who knows about the Island of Sodor has a favorite incarnation, and has grown up with a different era of Thomas…not to mention its characters. From cheeky Thomas himself, to his best friend Percy the Small Engine, to the vain and flashy James the Red Engine, to the villainous Devious Diesel, and so many more. All of them have fun personalities and different quirks that have stood the test of time, one way or another. For me, it’s the original Awdry books and the first six or seven seasons of the TV show that I will always hold fondest in my heart, but I can see the value in other renditions. What’s great about the show is that, aside from its whimsical and fantastical elements that can appeal to children, there’s also a lot of great lore and even connections to real life railways that adults can find interesting; it appeals, in its best versions, to all ages. For me, it’s a nostalgic piece of my soul: anytime I think of Thomas, or revisit the old stories or episodes, I’m brought back to a simpler, more comfortable time, in a way nothing else can manage. For that, and for being the main reason I love trains in the first place, Thomas and all of his friends on Sodor have most definitely earned their place as my number one spot on this countdown.
HONORABLE MENTIONS INCLUDE…
Choo Choo Charles. (This monster counts. :P )
The Bioquimek Train, from Castlevania: Lords of Shadow II. (A personal, more obscure favorite train from a video game.)
The Wonderland Railway, from Alice in Wonderland (1985 Miniseries). (Pictured at top.)
Starlight Express. (Wasn’t sure if this stage show should count on the main list, but it’s worth at least an Honorable Mention.)

A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate
Refering to this.
Thank you for the ask! Let's answer this one too C: Adding this after the full answer, I'm gonna add a read more because it turned out quite long hahaha
7. A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate?
Ah, what medium of art don't I appreciate? I love art! I love reading, listening to music (and singing, but I'm not great at it hahah), sculpture, etc.
With reading, I mostly read fanfics lately, but I enjoy lots of typical books and authors too: Chaos Walking (Patrik Ness), the Lord of the Rings, Rick Riordan's books in general, MXTX's books, the Castle in the Sky. Those are the ones that come to mind first, my faves~ Of course, I include here manga and comics, there's sooo many I love as well. I do draw, but don't usually do comics (maybe someday!). Lately I've been loving Jujutsu Kaisen and Akagami no Shirayukihime, but I could recomend so many good ones.
With music I just always need some music if I'm not watching anything that has sound otherwise, I love so many kinds of styles, but I have a preference for melodic, mellow songs~ specially ones that I can sing along too. Lots of classical too (Chopin is my fave~). And piano is my fave instrument to listen to <3 I kinda talked about music already in the previous ask, so I won't go into more detail hahah
For sculpture I don't really have a particular artist I like, it's more a casual love. But all those "realistic" sculptures are mind blowing to me, how it seems completely real, specially fabric or expressions, but it's made of marble or another hard material.... man, so much talent, I admire them so much.
If we talk about drawing/painting I'm not proficient at but I still admire: watercolour is gorgeous and I am incapable of it. I love the art made with it! Oil and classic paintings as well, there's so many classic artists who have made amazing pieces. My fave is Monet! But I also greatly admire the ones from the victorian period in general. The way they render fabric and clothes is SO GOOD. I kinda emulate it unconsciously when I do my shadding ahah but I am sure it looks nothing like that xD Like, look at this art called "Flirtation" by Frédéric Soulacroix, that fabric 🙏🙏🙏 And the background is gorgeous too.
Tumblr media
Also, I really enjoy watching movies/tv shows. Wether they're animation or not. Specially if they have good plot and/or if they have good photography/animation. There's so many beautiful works of arts in that medium as well. Ghibli movies are some of my faves (Howl's Moving Castle is my fave movie ever), Lord of the Rings movies are also masterpieces. I've also enjoyed lately the Poirot movies they've been making recently, they're really interesting and have great photography as well~
I have to say, I don't often watch theater/musicals because they're expensive and I'm broke af. But the times I went to see some, they're amazing as well 🙏 I'll include dance performances here too, because they're in a similar category to me.
I enjoy seeing architecture as well. My fave period for architecture is gothic! The way they did all those high arches and beautifully decorated walls. And the stained glasses! Sooo many great buildings!! Most of the ones I can see around where I live and was able to travel are churches or cathedrals. They are such beautiful buildings, even though I'm not religious in any sense at all, I always love visiting them and seeing them. But there's sooooo many amazing artstyles out there as well! Lique some Mosques are absolutelly stunning, with their intricate colorful patterns! There's so much good architecture to admire as well...
Also, I'll add that videogames are a form of art in my opinion as well, and I admire lots of creators. There's SO MUCH variety in this media, it's insane. Stuff like Return of Obra Dinn or Papers Please by Lucas Pope (who makes it all, including music, he's so talented), Baldur's Gate 3 (currently enjoying this one), Chants of Sennar, Binding of Isaac, Fire Emblem, Kingdom Hearts, etc. So many different styles but so fun and interesting. And also, so many good RPGs with amazing stories I don't think can be told in a better way using other media (Persona series, Tales of series, Dragon Age, the Nonary Games, Mother saga, Xenoblade Chronicles, etc.)
Sorry for the big rambling, I guess you didn't expect me to go into such a extended answer hahahah I really, really love all art of creation, it's such an amazing thing that someone visualizes something and can create it so everyone else can see.
I've said this over and over again, I wish I were filthy rich, so rich I could never ever use all my money, only so I could be an art mecenas (I think it's called patron in English, I like the word we use in Spanish tho XD) and give money to aaaall my favourite artists so they can just create without any worry at all, just focus on their art and not the money they need to make to survive. Just create their own stories, characters, art pieces, or create fanworks of any kind. I don't even want to request stuff I want to see, I just want to see what they want to create! What their mind can imagine and how they see the world!!!
Ah, if only...
Anyway, this has gone for long enough hahah thanks again for giving me the oppotunity to ramble~
And if you read till here, thanks as well for your time~ Feel free to send more questions for this ask~ (or anything else, really, if you want me to expand on any of these topics I mentioned here haha I'd be happy to~) P.D.: Just as I posted it, I also remembered tappestry/weaving/any kind of thread art. AND OF COURSE, fashion/outfit makers and designers!!! There's so much art in this world... so hard to remember it all, but it's all around us <3

Mmmm...I think I can give more than one answer for these -v-" It's based on my own liking though
21. The book thief (Markus Zusak) 1984 (George Orwell), La ciudad que no existe (Bruno Pólack Cavassa) and the Anne Frank diary
...these books are mostly about history, ah -v-"
22. OHHhHhHHhH
Top Gun: Maverick (I just watched it yesterday and oHhH love it sm), The Two Popes, All those Batman animated movies, Forrest Gump, 1917 (-sobs), Ghibli movies, Tarantino movies (these ones have a lot of blood and a bit of gore in several parts, so be careful 👁 I love the characters and stories though, specially Django), Shutter Island, Catch me if you can, Train to Busan, Dead Poets Society...
And I could mention more but it would be too long xD"
23. Mmmm...the last series I watched were K-dramas, so...
It's okay to not be okay 😭
Crash Landing on You 😭😭😭
Vincenzo (this one brings laughs to life lmao)
Juvenile Justice 😭😭😭😭😭 (there are some trigger warnings for this one, so be careful x2)
And not K-dramas:
The Umbrella Academy
Chernobyl
Anne with an E
Queen's gambit

I'm not YET an anime person. Mainly because of that reason i mentioned about the 'fanservice' part.
I watched death note and was literally entering a whole new world I've never seen and then it reached the middle and misa misa appeared and ruined it for me. And then L died and chaos unraveled. XD but it's such a masterpiece
I watched psycho pass season 1 and dropped it after that. Because i was looking for strong female character animes but was disappointed.
Usually i look for strong plots and all because I'm dumb but then i randomly stumbled upon little witch academia and omg that was such a relief especially since I watched it during a stressful period. This one was just chill and cute yet drives you in.
ATTACK ON TITAN!!! no words. Just love it. 😭😭
The promised Neverland 😭😭😭😭😭😭 just season 1
I remember watching anime when i was much younger, on tv, without even knowing what anime is. I remember watching one with my brother. It was a super cute anime with a boy and his baby brother. The baby was sooo adorable, i loved the anime. But i didn't know the name. Laaater i found it was Akachan to Boku.
I also remember watching anime on YouTube during school days and getting culture shocks. It was mainly taboo topics. And the maid sama ( not sure abt the name). During that time, anime was something i wasn't aware that i could enjoy, it seemed like a foreign place that dealt with taboo topics. And it was addictive once you start but then i stop watching and I'm not interested anymore.
I wish I could simply watch anime like that. Instead of being so nitpicky and strict and not watch anything.. Just simply enjoy whatever.
Long animes always felt too much of a "task" and i couldn't really watch anything like that. The longest I've seen is Attack on Titan. Im also not really into the Naruto- like genre much.
HOW CAN I NOT MENTION THE MOVIES OMG. Can you believe it?! I just watched spirited away yesterday. I had it with me for so long and only now did i watch it. Omg tell me what all am i missing 😭 the one that's my fav is A Silent Voice.. it was so beautiful, it hurts yet heals.. 💮
ohh yea I totally get that. Death note has a special place in my heart but man shit gets weird. same thing with Bleach and FMA lol. AND NARUTO. I love the characters but damnnnn the WRITERS lol.
they take a good thing and do NOTHING with it haha.
OH Psycho pass is one I haven't heard of in a long time. I used to actually quite enjoy it. what's the other one that I keep confusing for sword art online lmao. uh....RE:Zero. ALSO really good but for some reason I keep confusing it with Sword Art lol
omfg I love little witch and was actually gonna recommend it so I'm glad you've seen it haha.
OMG attack on titan and the Promised neverland are just 👌👌👌👌👌👌 amazing animes
Oh dude I totally get that too. I used to just dowwnnnn anime as if it were soda or something without even realizing what I was watching haha. I still enjoy animation very much. I just don't have time to go sniffing it out on my own , ya know what I mean? I'm just watching whats popular lmao. it's been working so far.
WAIT YOU JUST WATCHED SPIRITED AWAY? I wish I was there to share that moment with you omfg. it must have been magicial. easily one of my favorite movies ever.
A silent voice is also really good.
YOUR NAME. watch that one next. and then maybe all of the Ghibli movies lmao. and watch Mary and the Witches Flower as well. and I hear Belle is pretty good haha.
just watch nothing but animation lol

For the Soft Ask! ☄☄☄
Mochi - Strawberry - Shampoo and Cream !!
Hello Coco!! How are you!!
Ohh ah ah ok let me answer...
mochi - favorite studio ghibli film?
.........That's a tricky question.... Very tricky aya... I actually ...kind of love them all!
I mean I love the essence, the vibe of Ghibli's studio, in each movies there is something I'm soooo fond of: from music, to colors, to background, to feels.... Those movies can't let you left without any feelings actually! Some letf me in tears, some heartwarmed, some wt* xD, and some like rooting for such ends!
So it's hard to answer I love them all!! And I can't wait for the next in line coming this year!!
What about you??
strawberry - favorite fruit?
Arghh, I love every fruits except melon.... Beurk xD
But my fav is tomato, quiet and anwser right?
shampoo - favorite scent?
Ahh also a tricky one, I actually like living scent.... Organic I would say lol! Scent which I can associate things with like:
-apple shampoo reminds me my childhood
-bakery all time smelllls good
-incense is so calming for the mind
-sea breeze and salt are soooo great too
-eucalyptus, mint, lavender are also sooo good
-and worn perfume has that special ability to have different scent with each person!
At this rate I'm turning like an animal ah ah!! Ahhh and also "hospital"s scent...the good one...Blame my nurse job for that....that's weird!! Oh ooohhh and nice clean sheet that you rub to your fave before sleeping!!!! BEST FEELING EVER!!!!
cream - frozen yogurt flavor?
Hmmm, it's not very popular here in my country... Or maybe it's just me!! I'll ask some others frenchies lol
But I would say strawberry! (I am a basic xD)

Hi...how are you? If you don't mind me asking, what are your top 10 favorite anime? And why? (I've already asked before but in a bad time when you're still busy, sorry about that). Sorry again if you've already answered this question before....
Hi! Thanks for asking again! ^^
My top 10 favourite animes...hmm...this was much more difficult to answer than I expected 😂 anyway, here they are :
1. Yuri on ice
Tumblr media
This one takes the top spot without question 🥺 if I start writing about why I love YOI and how it made a huge impact on me personally, we'll be here for days XD so....short answer : I STILL LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH 😭💕
2. Kikis delivery service
Tumblr media
My most favourite ghibli film 💖 this one has it all, a young girl's journey to find her place in the world, creativity and passion for your job, and what it means to lose it. Getting back on your feet when life turns shitty. Found family. Learning to be self reliant. Dealing with self doubt....just...chef's kiss 😘
3. FMAB
Tumblr media
The classic. Everyone and their great grandma has seen it, and never stops raving about it and deservedly so. I watched it simultaneously w an irl friend of mine, and we kept giving each other spoilers throughout the week we saw it lol. Additionally, the only show that has Edward Elric my gremlin son Riza my wife, I had a huge crush on her lololol and Roy the bastard I'm willing to fight for Riza's hand in marriage 😌👌
4. Haikyuu!!
Tumblr media
Imo, the greatest sports anime I've seen (my experience is limited tho lol). The series that inspired me to get out of a long phase of stagnation in my early college days. I owe this one so much ❤️ every single character left an impression on me, I laughed with them, cried at their losses, and cheered equally for the opponent team as I did for Karasuno. It wasn't just an anime for me, but a whole personal journey from beginning to end. Can't thank Furudate sensei enough for creating this masterpiece. 💕
5. Oofuri
Tumblr media
This show is SO. DAMN. UNDERRATED. Whyyy?? Like?? Imo, it deserves as much hype as haikyuu or other sports animes, because at its core, Oofuri was so much more than a sports anime. It was about friendships, learning to trust others, knowing that they had your back, and learning to value yourself more, realising you were worth more than you believed. It was just.... So so precious 🥺💕 and it has at Mihashi!!! My sunshine child!!!! 🥺💕
6. 91 days
Tumblr media
Angsty. Gritty. Kept me on the edge from start to finish. And oh. Also major heartbreak. I cried for a week 🙃 Bonus : it has Angelo Lagusa, the protag who desperately needs someone to give him a hug 😭 he didn't deserve all that shit :'))))
7. From up on poppy hill
Tumblr media
My second favourite ghibli movie. I related so much to the protagonist, Umi. She had to take on so much of responsibilities from a young age, tried to hold it together for her family's sake, and was just.... In general, very very like me 🙈😋 it was like seeing myself on the screen, you get me? I loved the idyllic location, the analogy of boats passing by and Umi waiting for a person who was never gonna come back....it was very bittersweet :')
8. Dokyuusei
Tumblr media
Such a sweet, nostalgic story, the animation is beautiful ❤️ and does the art of Asumiko Nakamura justice 😌
9. Garden of words
Tumblr media
Ad narrator voice : If u have a foot fetish and are fond of age gap ships, then this is just the movie for you!!
Lol just kidding 😂 this movie has a special place in my heart because it was my introduction to the world of Makoto Shinkai and I was MESMERISED. I remember exactly how I saw this film. Back in 2016, it smh came in my youtube recommendations, and I clicked on it without much thought. and HOLY SHIT it was an EXPERIENCE. I was in awe of the sheer details, the colors, the fluid animation, the mood every single frame had.... Much of the story didn't register in my brain at all, I was too busy drooling over the gorgeous visuals 😋💕
10. One punch man
Tumblr media
Lol this show was GLORIOUS. 😂😂😂 Extremely entertaining, would recommend 10/10!!!!! Saitama in the gif is my spirit animal, for I too, have lost many a battle against 5 mm long mosquitoes 😔

What ghibli movies have you seen? Is spirited away your favourite, and if so, why? (Because that was the first ghibli film I saw and I was ESTRANGED so pls convince me it's a good film akdjsjdb) have you seen grave of the fireflies? I hear that one's good but emotionally damaging
!!! i have seen all of them except for ocean waves and earwig and the witch! grave of the fireflies IS emotionally damaging. i saw it years ago, and i don't plan on watching it again bc of how sad it was. it didn't even make me cry, just made me feel... hollow? which was the Point because it's about the horrors of war :((
spirited away is my favorite by far! i used to watch it over and over as a kid; it's definitely a comfort movie of mine, and i can quote the disney dub as it plays (interestingly, i have never watched it in japanese with subtitles). it's important to me, not just for nostalgia reasons!
it's funny how kids take weird things as normal because they have no concept of "normal," isn't it? like, spirited away is a Weird movie - on its surface especially. it's mildly terrifying, too - i mean, no face frickin' eats people! but, idk. i guess Child Me was charmed by its strangeness (my favorite movie when i was 8 was coraline, for reference of Kid Me's taste XD).
it's about finding yourself in strange and frightening surroundings and keeping your sense of self. it's about having a soft heart, letting people in wholeheartedly, and finding courage to face life's changes. the symbolism of the hair tie zeniba gives chihiro and the way it glints in the sun at the end as chihiro is about to face her new home, school, life - *insert "poetic cinema" meme*
not to Mention the train scene and its music and colors, how the audience is allowed to just *sit* with the characters and process! chihiro's face is unreadable, but the weight of the moment... wow. also, the scene where chihiro recounts her story and helps haku remember his name 😭 the music swelling, the big ghibli tears as they fall through the sky, the sheer Happiness!
i could go on, but yeah, spirited away is pretty special to me <3

The Problem with Dream Casting
So, something that has come up multiple times recently - in private convos and via Anonymous Asks that I...well...couldn’t really figure out a proper answer to, is “dream casting” my OCs for Twisted Wonderland. I may or may not do such a thing in the future, but right now, I’m really not planning on doing it much. And I figured I’d go into the reasons why. First of all...his is something that goes for ALL my OCs, not just TW, and that is...I don’t really feel I NEED to dream cast my characters. The only time I did that was with my World of Gods cast, and that was because I just thought it would be fun to do in that specific instance. And it was! Usually, however...I tend to have a sort of general voice in my head for what a character sounds like, but I neither require nor desire one specific voice for them. Since I don’t have a specific voice in mind, that means I have to go and try to seek one out, and that can be a pain.  The next three points are specifically in regard to my TW cast. One: if I DO think of a specific voice with a character, sometimes that voice in my head would only work, like, ten or even twenty years ago. XD Much like my friend, @belliesandburps, I feel like you should always cast a voice to match a character’s age as closely as possible, and sometimes even the finest voices just don’t match the age of the characters, or at least, they don’t anymore. Actors age, or even pass on, and their voices usually age with them. Two: I want the voices to match the style of the universe we’re talking about. TW is essentially an anime or anime-style world, so if I WERE to dreamcast people, I’d want voices that have that sort of “anime quality” to them, meaning I’d pick voices from people who specialize or once specialized in English dubs. Sometimes this means voices that I think would work very well would sound kind of odd if named aloud, especially if they are celebrity performers. There have been some good celebrity voices in anime before - see various Studio Ghibli movies, for example - but they are special cases, not the norm. And three: TW could, at any moment, get an English dub of its own. In fact, I believe an English voice cast for the future anime version WAS unveiled lately. (I believe. Maybe my memory is incorrect.) And we want the voices to be as unique as possible. With so many characters already made, finding names that haven’t been “taken” for my OCs is tricky to do. EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF ALL THIS: if I had to choose a specific voice I imagine in my head for my Captain Hook OC, James Killian...it would be Tom Hiddleston. More specifically, from the time Hiddleston himself played a young Captain Hook in the movie “The Pirate Fairy.” In that film, Hook is about the age James would be, and Hiddleston plays that part EXTREMELY well. I do find myself thinking of his performance in that movie from time to time when writing for James or seeing art of him. HOWEVER, you will note that such a choice sort of breaks ALL of the rules: that movie is now about a decade old, and not only is Hiddleston a celebrity performer - which, for some, would already be a bit iffy - but to my knowledge, he has never handled any anime or anime-esque franchises, at least to date.  And saying my dream cast for James is “Tom Hiddleston from ten years ago in an anime setting” is not really that catchy a way of explaining the voice. :P

whats your all time favorite anime?
My all time favourite anime? That´s a bit difficult if I have to name only one anime. XD Because there are so many anime I really love. I can name you a few I would rewatch again and again: All ghibli movies (for me all of them are masterpiece and I think everybody will find his favourite ghibli movie).
Then there is gintama, an anime which has everything and I never ever cried so much during a story.
I love death parade, it´s a heart warming and tragic story and every episode is mesmerizing you.
Hunter x Hunter was an anime I basically watched in five days and I didn´t regret it.
Kingdom is a unique anime, which isn´t made for everyone I think. It´s basically about war and strategies and yeah... but I love it.
Koe no Katachi was a movie I watched until now for like three times. I love the story (although some things were changed from the manga but that´s okay).
Then I have Kuroko no basket, oh god should I say I rewatched it ten times? One of my first sport anime I´ve watched and it will always have a special place in my heart.
Black Butler or Kuroshitsuji is an anime which brought me into anime, so it will always be special for me. Psycho Pass is the same, I loved/love the future we saw/see in there and I think we should definitely think about whether we wanna have an A.I. controlling our justice system or let people judge other people (just saying). If you wanna see an anime who is really emotional but has really good fight scene, I can say WATCH STRANGER: MUKOU HADAN. A masterpiece and also one of my most fav. anime. And last but not least (it´s not really last because I can´t write down ALL really good anime but it´s an anime I rated with ten stars like all the others) is Kigeki. It´s a ten minute anime but until now I love it so much. I have the feeling, that nobody knows it and this makes me sad but it makes me sadder that we never ever got a two hour movie. :(
Sorry for my long post but as you can see, I can´t name only one anime because there are so many wonderful stories in so many different genres, it´s not possible.

OKAY.
3: yuuji, fushiguro, nobara
4: sigma/chuuya/dazai
5: fukumori and elise
6: ...........the og tgcf party XD
>:) ty ty reyni >:)
Three Characters Ask
3. fight aliens with, fight zombies with, fight capitalism with
i feel like aliens tend to be more dangerous than zombies since they could have all sorts of bullshit powers, so i'm bringing fushiguro. megumi has a big brain and can figure out their weaknesses. i'm fighting capitalism with yuuji because nobara, afaik, likes capitalism, and also yuuji is the perfect poster boy for a socialist movement. this leaves nobara for zombies. i'm hiding behind her for all of it.
4. write a book with, read a book to, hit with a book
i am hitting dazai with a book. this is nonnegotiable and would make me feel infinitely happier!! kunikida instinct!! it will be a very heavy book too!! however i would 10/10 write a book with chuuya (he seems like he would have interesting stories and ideas) and read a book with sigma, because sigma works in a library and thus has good recommendations. this is canon obviously /j.
5. go on a six hour road trip with (no car radio, you choose who drives), sit next to on a six hour plane flight, sit across from on a six hour train journey
oh. oh god. you know what, elise for the plane flight because i feel like she'd just fall asleep and droop over the armrest onto my shoulder and that is the only situation i would be able to stand 6 hours with her. riding a train with sword dad is a special kind of ghibli aesthetic, so train for him. and then i'm making mori drive while i nap. if he kills me, he kills me, so be it. i just pray he dumps me out into a nice corn field.
6. go clothes shopping with, go to ikea with, go grocery shopping with
THE REAL ANSWER IS ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THEM
anyway, they all have dramatic fashion sense (acceptable!!) but xie lian is the only one who would be nice about the clothes i pick, so i'm going to forever 21 with dianxia. feng xin is scared of women so we can go grocery shopping, since there are many women at ikea and at safeway i can distract him with, uh. manly things. like. citrus fruit.
this leaves mu qing for ikea. i'll make him buy me the meatballs <3

It hurts, but in a good way...
(TW - Reference to self harm)
So, things have picked up for a while. Might have something to do with certain aspects of life actually getting better, might have more to do with having doubled my antidepressant meds. WHO CAN SAY?! xD So, in the spur of my darkness, about the same time I decided to save myself some suicidal thoughts, I also happened to book a new tattoo in.
See, when I get depressed and feel the need to hurt myself, I usually try to get a tattoo or piercing instead. Piercings are great, because if you hate it, or it doesn't work out, you can just remove it and it heals over.
But a tattoo... okay, it needs more thought, true. But, me personally, I have a list as long as my leg of various ink I want to get.
I'm partway through a Studio Ghibli sleeve/half sleeve, but I lost my artist, so now I'm on the hunt for a new one. Because it's special to me though, I don't want just any one to finish it. I've gotta find the right person.
Anyways, off topic. I have this long list of art I wanna get, but the one I THOUGHT I was going to book in next suddenly got usurped.
I hate myself so fucking much. I'm crap at dealing with tension, pressure, stress, things not going to plan, sadness, happiness, anger... Well, most things.
You're ugly, you will never be good enough, people think you are a joke.
No. No, it doesn't need to be like that. Shut it.
So, anyways, that tattoo is a great alternative to self harm because then, instead of the pain of your emotions and situation, you remember your tattoo. You can get excited about it, and if you're like me, you are even looking forward to the pain. A good pain. A productive pain.
I think that's it, you know. I think it's because you can physically hurt, but towards something, a goal. I'm suffering, but it's because I want this beautiful picture on my arm.
I guess that's the bit that is missing from life sometimes. Like, you can look at it as "Oh, if I keep getting up and going to work, I can afford XYZ."
But that's not enough.
I wonder if it is also because you can see the tattoo forming in front of you. Pain being built up layer by layer. Or better, taking that pain and turning it into something colourful, beautiful, something I WANT to show off, not hide.
I am looking forward to this one a lot. The meaning is really deep, and it's a pretty tattoo. Not many of my current ones are pretty. They all mean something, but if you don't get it...
But this one, it means something deep, poignant, but should look nice to outsiders too.
My parents are gonna flip. But I'm 29 this year. It's my stupid, broken body and I'll mark it how I like.

WELL friendos, it looks like it’s gonna be a stressful week. I did a little think last night to de-stress myself, so I figured I’d share it here with y’all as well; maybe it’ll be fun for you to look at too.
It's been a while since I've documented The Plush Hoard, so I went through it this evening!
Tumblr media
A few notes before we begin!
-Before the "but where do YOU sleep" comments come in - I move them around when I sleep lol. The vast majority of my plushies are up on my top bunk nowadays (which u purposefully cannot see because after I was done taking pictures I just started tossing em up there and didn't feel like making them look nice jskdhgf;;; ) - I only keep my very favorites with me. Every time I blog about my plushies I get that comment and it's not funny anymore ;; -I am not a collector that keeps my plushies on shelves or behind glass cases; one of the primary reasons I love collecting plushies is because I love soft textures, so I love hugging and cuddling with them. So some of them are pretty beat up at this point! I also have a cat and if you have a cat, you know cat hair Everywhere is just a fact of life, so if you happen to see any...sorry! I cannot possibly de-cat-hair my entire apartment at all times. -I am not a photographer and my bedroom has crappy lighting, so these pictures aren't ~the prettiest~; the point of this is for me to just have some fun talking about one of my hobbies! -I have cultivated this collection over years and years and years; as I said, it's one of my hobbies, and it just brings me joy!
That said, THIS GON BE A LONG POST LMFAO, so if you're on board, hop under the read more and we'll get started uvu
Tumblr media
We shall start with the non-weeb plushies skdjfhldfg, which is the smallest cohort |D;;; of special note are the baby penguin from Sunshine City Aquarium in Ikebukuro, the moose my parents got for me in Alaska, the big doofy red panda my college roommates got me for my birthday one year, and the dragon. THE DRAGON IS WEIGHTED. The dragon is delightful oh my god all plushies should be weighted;;;
Tumblr media
Ghibli plushies! I got the vast majority of these while I was physically in Japan - the only two that I didn't were the foxsquirrel and the Totoro on top of it. The soot sprite I got at the Ghibli Museum itself uvu
Tumblr media
Digimon plushies! I wish there were more decently sized Digimon plushies TAT;; (I like bigger plushies because they are easier to hug ok) The Culumon and Viximon (? I think I'm remembering that name right: Renamon's in-training form, the yellow fox blob sdjfgdfg) are bootlegs I am very sorry ;;; My Digimon Plush Goal is to somehow find an official Culumon someday TAT;;; I rlly like Culumon there was a period of time in elementary school where I drew nothing but Culumon so lol.
Tumblr media
Random fandom plushies! Lessee, what's represented here...Sanrio, Hamtaro, Madoka, Heartcatch Precure, Higurashi, OneShot, Made in Abyss, Re:Zero, Undertale, and Deltarune! Ralsei's hat and glasses obviously come off...I, full disclosure, do not know where they are. They are probably under my bed somewhere sjkdfghsdg;;;;
Tumblr media
OK HERE WE GO: most of my plushies are Pokemon plushies. What can I say...they're just so much fun to collect TAT;;; first up are a couple groups of miscellaneous babbies; you will soon see I like collecting some Pokes over others...
Tumblr media
Miscellaneous babbies part two! See the lil Riolu? When I lived with my parents still, that Riolu was Joji's favorite plushie to steal |D;; she would semi-regularly come into my room and take plushies from me, but that one she took far more often than any other. She's such a small dog no damage was ever done, but still...Joji these are mine, not yours!
Tumblr media
Miscellaneous babbies part three! This was originally meant to be legendary/mythical Pokes but then I remembered Raboot and Galarian Ponyta and was like "OH NO I HAVE TO INCLUDE THEM" I am not very good at this jsdhfglsjfdg
Tumblr media
'pixs! (and two Ninetales) I have a very vivid memory of watching the first episode Vulpix appeared in in the anime and wanting a plushie of one so bad, but alas they were certainly not readily available to me yet, so I carried around a Simba plushie I had that evening pretending it was a Vulpix xD so if little me could see my Vulpix collection now she'd be very happy!!
Tumblr media
'vees! ...I like me an Eevee, what can I say. There's actually one Eevee that's missing from this pic - I told you I'm not very good at this |D;;;
Tumblr media
...oh there were TWO Eevees missing and I stuck them in this pic lol I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER WHAT I TOOK PICTURES OF HOORAY anyway, Eeveelutions! I obviously favor certain evolutions over others |3 Eventually I would like to get at least one Espeon, Glaceon and Leafeon, just to say I have them all. But there is one more Eeveelution that I couldn't fit here...
Tumblr media
...cause she BIG. My life-sized Sylveon takes the prize of biggest plushie I own. She hangs out at the foot of my bed uvu (also her ears are top heavy/don't have any wires in them so they've clearly flopped backwards...but she cute any way you slice it TAT)
Tumblr media
THE PIKAS. ...Somehow I thought I had more Pikas than this. (Oh wait, I DO...they're just coming later cause they're in a special category |3 ) this is still a good amount of Pikas! Detective Pika is extraordinarily soft he's very good TAT;;; also two Raichu cause I don't have enough Raichu to take a separate pic of.
Tumblr media
Mimis! I have a couple other Mimis that are also in the special category coming up hehe. Big Mimi was stuck in customs for a month after I got him so I'm glad he made it home eventually TAT;;;
Tumblr media
HERE WE GO I have...a lot of Litten. Litten is my baby. Best Poke-kitty for me. I love my Litten TAT/////
Tumblr media
PICHU PICHU PICHUUUU!!! My ultimate baby TAT///// Pichu so good...so happy to have so many Pichu...aaaa///// but wait, there are Absol here too?? Well, yes, of course. For I am a Pichu and my love is an Absol. So. I had to take pictures of the plushies together uvu
Tumblr media
Some Large Friends that got their own picture. That rolly Charizard was the first thing I ever won from a crane game; I was ridiculously proud of myself |D;;;
Tumblr media
SPECIAL CATEGORY: Halloween Pokes!!!! The PokeCen always has an Extremely Good Halloween campaign and it makes me angry...they're all so good...TAT////////
Tumblr media
Aaand! Best for last!! SE plushies T//u//T The middle two Souls are very beat up, ahaha....I've had the smaller one for over a decade and the bigger one for almost a decade, so...they've gotten a lot of love//// (plus it is also funny to tease Soul - u know I'd give u a hug over the plushies any day baaaaaabe u3u) I really want to get Liz, Patty, and Tsubaki too, but Tsubaki is SUPER hard to find and I don't want to get Liz and Patty and not her TAT;;; there are also Excalibur plushies...............but I think I'm ok without an Excalibur plushie sjdkfghsdfg OH also not pictured; I do have a plush Shinigami glove |D
So! There it is! The hoard! If I were a dragon this would be my treasure hoard! It was nice to go through this so if you went through it with me I hope you had fun too!

Tumblr media
This is actually part 2 of her “question corner”. Find part 1 HERE. She couldn’t answer all the questions in her last video and since then she has also received a bunch of new questions so she will be answering a mix of old and new questions in this video. She doubts she will get through all of them but she is gonna do her best and try.
Question 1: What kind of drinks does she drink often? The fan wants to know if she is team!tea or team!coffee etc. Actually, she mostly drinks water and she aims for around 2 litres a day. She even has a big pitcher which she prepares in the morning and she checks at night whether or not she managed to finish it. And she always brings water with her when she goes out. In the morning she will always drink a big cup of hot black coffee. She will take her time drinking it (it usually takes her around an 1 hour to finish). She won’t drink coffee at any other time of the day because she doesn’t think it’s good for her to have so much caffeine. If anything, she will drink some tea during the day with little to no caffeine.
Question 2: What are her favourite/most beloved kitchen utensils? She doesn’t really use a lot of stuff to cook or any special items. However, there is one thing she can’t live without, and that’s her wooden spatula. She got this from her mum. She had always used plastic spatulas in the past but she didn’t feel they were working very well and they always got burned from the heat in the pan so one day her mum recommended a wooden spatula and from then onwards she has never looked back.
Question 3: What is she doing while on the train? Wakana easily gets motion-sickness so for example when she checks her phone, she might start to feel sick. That’s why she always tries to keep her head straight, even when she looks at her phone. That might look a little awkward to some people. Her personal trainer also recommended that she should make sure to look at the things that are right in front of her in her line of sight. It’s very exhausting for the eyes to look down or up so everyone should make sure to look straight ahead most of the time. It’s a little hard for Wakana to do that because obviously she doesn’t want people to think she is staring at them but somehow she manages XD She tries to focus on random items or she looks out of the window at the scenery/sky.
Question 4: What kind of music is being played at her home? She doesn’t really listen to music in her house. She mostly spends her time watching films and TV shows on Netflix and other streaming services. Other than that she doesn’t like to have any background noises in her home. If she checks her recordings or does other work related stuff she will use headphones
Question/Suggestion 5: Why doesn’t she try and carry her portable fan on a belt or something? She has previously talked about her struggles with carrying her fan. She loves it and wants to bring it with her everywhere she goes but it’s quite big and heavy so she never knows what to do with it. That’s why the fan suggests she should try carrying it on a sort of belt. Wakana has actually thought of something that’s quite similar to that idea. Her very own invention so to speak XD. She takes a tiny crossbody back and puts the fan inside so it sticks out a little. This way she can turn it on and the fan can do its work and keep her cool. She could also try putting it in her jeans pocket
Question 6: What is her favourite kind/taste of cup noodle? She doesn’t really eat cup noodles but during the stayhome period she has discovered a cup noodle with a soy-tonkotsu broth that only has half the calories of a normal cup. She couldn’t help but buy it and she actually quite liked it.
Question 7: Among all Ghibli characters, who would she choose as “lover”, “friend”, “senpai” and “idol”? Wakana LOVES this question. She is super excited to answer. Lover = Seiji Amasawa from Whisper of the Heart (she actually has many guys she would like to have as her lover, Ashitaka from Princess Mononoke is one of her faves too); Friend = Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service; Senpai = Dola from Laputa: Castle in the Sky; Idol = Nausicaä from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Question 8: What does she use to wash her clothes? For her laundry she uses Lavons Le Linge (Floral Chic). And a friend recommended the detergent gel balls from Bold (Platinum Rose) so she is using that as well. She keeps singing/singing the “Bold” commercial slogan. So cute! She puts the ball into the washing machine and then adds all her laundry. One is more than enough for a nice fragrance. However, the smell is quite overpowering so she prefers to use it for towels and such. She would rather not step out of the house or into a train smelling like she bathed in a pot of Bold
Question 9: Which books has she been reading recently? She hasn’t had the time to read actually. Too busy editing all of her videos XD [Note: Poor baby, I hope she is not overdoing it. All this filming and editing must be SUPER hard and tiresome] She has been really into magazines though (like the fashion magazine Gisele). She has been especially passionate about indoor plant magazines (such as Elle Decor) to get inspiration.
That’s it for this video. Once again she wasn’t able to answer all the questions. She will do a part 3 in the future so everyone please be patient. Also, she has set an uploading schedule for herself. She will upload a new video on days with a 7 (so either the 7th, the 17th or the 27th of a month). She likes the number 7 (also, in Japanese 7 = nana => WakaNA). So everyone, please think of Wakana whenever there is a day with a 7 ^_^ Official Wakana Video Day! She will most likely upload a video on that day (there might be some exceptions though).
