Looking Back At February 6 2024 ♪〜Movie, Dresses And Shoulder Bones〜

The other day, I went to see the movie "Golden Kamuy" with a friend 😊I received a special git at the cinema! A panel drawn by the original creator＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／ I was so happy because I didn't expect to get something like this! 😍 The girl I went with is a big fan of the original work, actually, she is such a hardcore fan that she and her husband have even gone on a proper pilgrimage to Abashiri which is a place from the manga. I also enjoyed the manga so I decided to go and watch the film with her! The visuals were so powerful and the music was so wonderful that (despite the fairly fantasy-like setting) I felt a strange sense of reality that made me cry many times... It was the first time I watched a movie at the cinema since ``The Boy and the Heron'', I had a lot of fun! 😆 (By the way, the girl who went with me was the same friend who went with me when I watched “The Boy and the Heron” for the second time♪) Being at the movie theater for the first time in a long while got me really excited, initially, I only wanted to get some oolong tea at the snack bar but then, I ended up with all of this😂 How did this happen? When I looked at the menu, I got really excited 🤣I got a large popcorn and a hot dog *laughs*

I couldn't finish the giant popcorn and had to take it home *laughs* I quietly stuffed my mouth with the hot dog before the film had even begun🤤 Even though I had told myself that it would be better to wait until the film was over to avoid getting tired...🥺 Such a fickle nature🥺(Thankfully the movie was so interesting that I didn't feel sleepy at any point)

Now, I would like to talk a little about my “Wakana 5th Anniversary “Prologue” ~Premium Online Live~” which was held on February 6th! Here I am together with Saku-chan who joined me on the piano 😊We also made sure to take a picture where we look a bit cool📸 With this premium online live I celebrated a milestone, the 5th anniversary of my solo debut. I wanted to start my celebrations together with everyone from my fan club! For some reason, those five years actually feel like a longer time... or rather, it feels like a lot more years have passed already. I included the entire “journey” from my solo debut up until now in the setlist!

There are songs from my 1st album "Wakana", my 2nd album "magic moment", my EP "Aki no Sakura" and my 3rd album "Sono Saki e"! I ended up cramming in as much as possible since I wanted to create a setlist that would allow me to look back on the past 5 years.😊 During my MCs I tried to express my feelings from each period, hopefully I was able to share some fresh thoughts with you.

I once again realized that the "chat" may be the best part of an online live performances! At live performances with an actual on-site audience it's not really possible to have a real conversation, but online, everyone can talk about all sorts of things. Of course, even if there are no words exchanged between us, I know that people are watching and supporting me but I always feel very relieved when people say a lot of things in the chat (*´- `) It's honestly so reassuring to know that everyone is watching and listening (^-^)

Despite all of that, my surprise lyric mishaps keep happening, whether it's been 5 years or 15 years, I will never get rid of those...😂Why? ? 😂 I could really feel everyone's surprise and kindness from the chat messages, it was a special sense of gratitude that I probably couldn't experience at a live performances with an on-site audience. Thank you again to everyone who watched and supported me! ! My 5th Anniversary celebrations have only just begun. At my upcoming band live on May 12th, I would like to have the time to reflect even more on the past five years ! Details will be posted soon! Lastly, I would like to post some pictures of my dress from February 6th 😆This is the same dress I wore on the cover of my 1st album "Wakana"♪ I also wore it during the encore for my ``VOICE'' tour, at that time, it was altered a bit so it would work better for a live performance 😍 I had my hair down, which is quite unusual for me ♡ The makeup artist also added some sparkling hairpins 😍

I always wonder why my shoulder bones are so prominent...🤣 I think it's a skeletal issue because I am pretty sure not everyone's shoulder looks like that, right? 😂 I don't have any particular pain or problems in this area but I always feel like there's just a lot of bone sticking out. I envy people with smoother shoulders🥺

Anyway, I'm glad I was able to fit into a dress from 5 years ago ･:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+ For some reason, that got me super excited! 😂😂 Easy peasy🤗 Yay!

13 Wolf Oaks in the Ohio Hills. My finished project for Fun-a-Day 2023. This piece is a collection of embroidered leaves representing 13 large oak trees I used in a research project from 2018. The trees I studied had grown in the open in pastures and influenced the development of the forest that regenerated after the land was abandoned from agriculture. Several species are represented: white, chestnut, post, chinkapin, and black oaks. Working with metallic floss on this scale was very challenging but rewarding. The use of gold reflects both the warm colors of oak forest leaf litter and suggests the leaves themselves as ceremonial objects, tying into the experience of research as ritual. The leaves were collected in Winter 2018/19 and were therefore present, either on the trees or in the litter layer, while I collected data for this project.

It showed as part of the Fun-a-Day art show in February with a companion booklet guide to each leaf/tree and a copy of my pasture tree ecology paper from 2020.

“Ghibli wo Utau” Concert~A Night Of Tears~

“Ghibli wo Utau” Concert ~ Produced by Satoshi Takebe was held on March 27th (*'▽'*) It still feels like a dream to be able to perform at a tribute concert for my all-time favourite Studio Ghibli works. Today I will be sharing plenty of photos from that concert! It was held at Tokyo International Forum Hall A✨ The screen at the back shows famous scenes from each work. When I was singing, I believe they showed San and Moro in the background 😍 (I was facing the audience the whole time so I couldn't see them...)

This time, I chose a dress inspired by San from Princess Mononoke 👗 It was so cute ♡ Here I am together with Mr. Satoshi Takebe who is literally a super-human, he was hosting the whole event, taking charge of the MCs, performed on the piano and he also arranged all the songs for this concert😂😂It's amazing😂 When I was asked to sing ``Princess Mononoke'' for the album, I remember that at first I jumped up and down with joy but then I quickly started to feel anxious, wondering whether I would be able to do a good job... However, when I saw Takebe-san and everyone involved in the production working so incredibly hard to make a good album, I swore to myself that I would give my very best and work as hard as I could. I am grateful to Takebe-san for always believing in me and never giving up on me! ! Takebe-san, thank you very much for your hard work! ! ･:*+.\(( °ω° ))/.:+

This was my first time collaborating with Leo Ieiri! I got to sing “Itsumo Nando Demo” together with her, it was so much fun 😊 She was a very kind and wonderful person...😳✨ We actually have something in common, we are both Sagittariuses from Fukuoka, that made me happy 😊 I hope to see you again✨

And here I am with Shigeru Kishida from “Quruli”! We had our picture taken while I got to hold my personal Totoro😂 During the concert, I watched most of the artists' performances from the stage side wings, Kishida-san's story was particularly funny 😂 It seems like Takebe-san tends to call him "Shige-chan" 😂 So cute 😂 Not only his performance of “My Neighbor Totoro” but also “Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea” was amazing!

I also had a photo taken together with Kaela Kimura! She is too cute~~🥺💕 I felt the audience get even more excited during Kaela's "Rouge's Message"😊 She is a very powerful and charming performer😍

I brought a lot of my Ghibli mascots with me that day, actually, everything except Tet was a gift from my fans 😂 All of you really know and understand me...😭✨Thank you😭✨ (Totoro and his friends on the right, Acorn and Kurosuke are matryoshka dolls. Ashitaka and Kodama are finger puppets, and Totoro on the left is a pouch!)

The Totoro cream puffs provided by the catering service were super cute! (It doesn't even look out of place when lined up side by side with all of my mascots!)

I really enjoyed reflecting on that special day with lots of photos! I was among the first ones to perform so I actually wanted to tell all of you in advance that you should make sure to arrive in time 😂 And then when I stood on stage, I immediately started looking for familiar faces in the audience😂

It was my first time standing on stage with so many artists since I became a solo artist so I was a little nervous... I sang while thinking of all of you, believing that my botanical friends were definitely there in among the many gathered fans! 😂 Thank you to everyone who came and everyone who supported me...😭✨ I was beyond thrilled to be able to participate in a concert that allowed me to be so involved with Ghibli's music! The concert will be streamed on U-NEXT on May 18th, so please look forward to it ＼＼\\٩( 'ω' )و //／／
