i think the reason izzy can be so blasé about his relationship with ed is not because hes taken to blaming a shark instead, but because hes actually already done a lot of the processing in the previous episode.

hes mourned his leg, hes had his drunk crying rants. hes gone through the five stages of grief. and then? the crew reaches out to him, offers him their support. they make him a new leg, they nominate him their new figurehead. when he stands there on the prow of the ship, leg on, letter in hand, thats his acceptance, thats his moving on.

Nothing seems to have changed at all and everyone greets him like his absence was a minor obstacle that didn’t fundamentally change Thor and the worst part is Loki stepped down from the place as regent without any delay and Thor can’t help but feel there’s something underlaying the way his brother looks at him now and won’t let him touch him and Thor doesn’t know what he could have missed because he doesn’t think he would have found anything wrong with the things around him and how everyone behaves if he hadn’t spent time on Earth reflecting.

#the warriors 4 not being interested in anything Thor ‘learnt’ at all #and making it clear that Thor was punished unfairly and the AllFather’s decision had been harsh #Loki saying he’s happy for Thor and Thor sees the way the smiles are forced and he sees the way Loki avoids any touch #Thor hating the way Frigga talks about Loki’s short regency and Thor’s absence like it wasn’t two whole decades or something #like she’s so grateful to have her other son back without ever addressing why he was gone #Thor just. growing during his time on earth and being much more aware of the behaviour around him #he learns to be critical and assess why people around him may act a certain way #once he realises that it’s possible for him or anyone else to be fallible and make mistakes it’s over for Asgard for him I think #Thor returns and Loki gives him the throne and everyone expects him to obviously have the throne #and Odin is sleeping and Thor isn’t comfortable with the way everyone accepts him as king regent after the banishment #Loki who either never lashed out against Jotunheim or did and it was brushed away and no one thinks about it as anything #but Loki is still deeply affected and acts the way he always would have but Thor can feel it’s not the same #he knows something is wrong and Loki won’t say anything about it and Thor doesn’t know how to bring it up #Thor sees Loki metaphorically receding into the shadows to become a nonpresence so loud Thor hears it even after returning from decades away #Thor goes to Earth and gets his priorities in order gets a new worldview learns not to take what he has for granted #and finds out he actually despised Asgard #he’s been back a week and he can’t stand it

“But the hair noodle is so distinct to Hunter-” no it isn’t, & it never has been. It’s distinct to CALEB, & that has always been the point. Hunter never wore his hair like that bc HE liked it, he wore it that way bc it reminded Philip of Caleb.

Hunter was never supposed to be Hunter, he was supposed to be a “better version” (BELOS’S OWN WORDS) of Caleb. Hunter’s hair noodle was never a characteristic of his own.

This boy has no part of him that’s his own. He wears Caleb’s face. His body contains Caleb’s bones. His eyes come from being a grimwalker. Entire parts of his personality are built up from trying to please Philip, & the rest of his personality he can’t be sure isn’t left over from Caleb.

Hunter doesn’t know who Hunter is. So he’s trying to figure that out by building from the ground up. There’s only so much he can do about his physical appearance, & fortunately his hair is something under his control. So he gives himself that basic haircut so he can figure it out from there. His hair was never specific to him, so now he can make it that way.

Idk. I don’t see how anyone can be genuinely upset about this w/out severely missing the point.

au where after some time being the red hood, jason realizes he wants to retire from being an anti-hero/vigilante and just live a normal life (or as normal as one can have when you’re the adopted son of batman).

but because he’s jason (an over-dramatic theatre nerd) he doesn’t go about retiring in a normal way. no, what he decides is the best way to leave vigilantism is to fake the red hood’s death, and what better way would it be if it happened during a confrontation with the joker (the joker obviously dies in this au, btw)?

after all, he chose the name to draw the joker out, wouldn’t it be kinda poetic if it ended with the joker as well? but of course like a dumbass, he doesn’t tell a soul what he’s planning, and when his plan goes exactly as he intended, his friends and family all think he’s dead.

jason shows up at the batcave a couple hours after his death in a t-shirt that says ‘i lived bitch!’ or something similar sipping on boba, and he’s wondering why everyone is looking at him like he’s a ghost (he forgot he didn’t tell anyone what he was planning on doing (jason might be insanely smart but sometimes he acts like a complete dumbass and i love that for him)).

(this was actually inspired by an angsty fanfic i read where jason actually did die after he faked being captured and killed the joker in an explosion (it can be found under the tag dead jason todd) or you can read it here!)

thinking about this very hypothetical child of Neptune (who I am definitely not thinking about writing a fic around) and she'll have to be a girl because of the established pattern (if you don't understand, just think about it for a min) and thinking about how she could turn fresh water into salt water with just a touch, and how she'd speak with an almost monotone, until she's really really fucking angry and then the cadence of her voice pitches and twists like the thrashing of the waves, and how her eyes would be almost as dark as Nico's, a dark blue-gray of storm clouds, an always clear threat, and how she'd be able to blend in easily with other people, appearing sweet almost, with a subtle air of danger around her that people ignore until it's too late, and how she'd rip the blood from someone's veins without batting an eye, and how she'd stand behind Percy encouraging him to let go, to give into the violent nature of the ocean in their blood, to cave to the riptide, to stop fighting and let everyone else drown.

#aotv spoilers #ok you’re asking for my opinions let’s do it #i love louis!!!! im so proud of him and im so happy i got to watch him on his journey for so long and can’t wait for what’s to come for him #and i think my love for him and for his music and for my time in the fandím and for one d etc is what makes this a good watch and why i #liked it because otherwise i have my reservations to the movie and im not going to get into the babygate stuff #apart from the fact that louis trying to get freddie to hug him was extremely awkward and ive never seen less organic thing than the beach #scene and i find it funny they tried to push that as organic so hard #my issue is that it just had a potential to be a much better film is all sksmsk #it is good but it feels a bit rushed and kind of cheap in some ways and i get that’s the style of these biopics sometimes but #like it was such a shame the bg music was not really gold and was always exaggeratedly emotional because it made it cheesy and cheap and #kind of forced #i think it would have a great potential to get many people to say wow this is a strong talented guy and i think it is a great intro but i #think they undersold the movie so it’s not going to have a chance to reach an audience much wider than his current fanbase which is a shame #for his current fanbase it is a solidification and reiteration of his promo season and it is very clear where they want louis to stand and #what they want his image to be like and i think it’s absolutely amazing how they managed to show his growth as an artist and as a human and #and place him in a position where he’s now confident and secure and ready to embark on a new journey etc. although for the fans there’s #nothing new there and i think it’s worth considering how exactly they’re portraying and that they completely left out his relationships #aside from his family and the band #i think it’s important that it was noted he was undersestimated and pushed down and i think they made obvious how much he’s worked on #himself #i think it’s kinda clear they’re using it as a faith in the future promo with the new songs even though the doc ends with the end of the #tour #i think it’s interesting how many rainbow flags they chose to include without addressing the way his shows and fanbase look at all because #if i were from Gp id wonder what’s up with that esp when he only acknowledged the kmm project again #generally i think it’s a good watch that’s very transparent in what it’s trying to do for louis promo and image wise and it doesn’t tell #you anything new but it reminds you why you love this man so much while also leaving you a bit disappointed because this had a much #greater cinematic potential and a lot of it feels either rushed or underfinanced or forced and that’s a shame
