#but Loki is still deeply affected and acts the way he always would have but Thor can feel it’s not the same

AU where Loki doesn’t interfere with Thor’s banishment at all and it takes Thor years to prove himself worthy and when he returns to Asgard everything is just. The same. Nothing seems to have changed at all and everyone greets him like his absence was a minor obstacle that didn’t fundamentally change Thor and the worst part is Loki stepped down from the place as regent without any delay and Thor can’t help but feel there’s something underlaying the way his brother looks at him now and won’t let him touch him and Thor doesn’t know what he could have missed because he doesn’t think he would have found anything wrong with the things around him and how everyone behaves if he hadn’t spent time on Earth reflecting.
#the warriors 4 not being interested in anything Thor ‘learnt’ at all#and making it clear that Thor was punished unfairly and the AllFather’s decision had been harsh#Loki saying he’s happy for Thor and Thor sees the way the smiles are forced and he sees the way Loki avoids any touch#Thor hating the way Frigga talks about Loki’s short regency and Thor’s absence like it wasn’t two whole decades or something#like she’s so grateful to have her other son back without ever addressing why he was gone#Thor just. growing during his time on earth and being much more aware of the behaviour around him#he learns to be critical and assess why people around him may act a certain way#once he realises that it’s possible for him or anyone else to be fallible and make mistakes it’s over for Asgard for him I think#Thor returns and Loki gives him the throne and everyone expects him to obviously have the throne#and Odin is sleeping and Thor isn’t comfortable with the way everyone accepts him as king regent after the banishment#Loki who either never lashed out against Jotunheim or did and it was brushed away and no one thinks about it as anything#but Loki is still deeply affected and acts the way he always would have but Thor can feel it’s not the same#he knows something is wrong and Loki won’t say anything about it and Thor doesn’t know how to bring it up#Thor sees Loki metaphorically receding into the shadows to become a nonpresence so loud Thor hears it even after returning from decades away#Thor goes to Earth and gets his priorities in order gets a new worldview learns not to take what he has for granted#and finds out he actually despised Asgard#he’s been back a week and he can’t stand it

Loki was proud, too proud for his own good, which made it impossible to build some kind of relationship with the avengers, impossible to trust him.
During his trial back on Asgard, Thor, who for some reason still loved him deeply despite the crimes he commented of killing many innocent souls, invading Midgard, even the attempt on his life didn't seem to affect his brother's judgment on him, believing that deep down his younger brother was still good. That he committed all these crimes only because he was overwhelmed by the secret that has been hidden from him, a secret that he had all the right to know of. Loki would never admit it but he was moved by how Thor in his own gentle way told Odin that all that happened was in a way his fault. However, what he said next made the god of mischief wish that his brother had let Odin imprison him for life in the dungeons as he had intended. Instead, he convinced the All-father to Allow Loki to pay for his crimes on Midgard, where he will aid the heroes that he once fought against, to protect its people until he was deemed redeemed of his previous crimes against the realm. That decision was backed out by Queen Frigga, who said that it has some poetic justice for him to fight with his life for the same realm he once tried to conquer.
Understanding how he had wronged his dear son enough and was unable to refuse his queen, Odin agreed to Thor's request and gave Loki a second chance to redeem himself. However, it was followed by a warning that if Loki did repeat any of his past crimes then he would be imprisoned away with the other criminals.
To say the Avengers were displeased by the judgment was an understatement. They threw insults after the other making clear that they would never work alongside him, how trusting him was impossible.
"Oh come on, I think it would be fun, wouldn't it?"
That simple comment riled them more to Loki's pleasure. He was standing in the back being shielded by Thor who tried to calm everyone down and assure him that he himself would watch over him and makes sure that he causes no trouble. Loki took that as a challenge, causing the series of "pranks" to start against the avengers. He turned Tony into a woman for a day, took Clint's hearing aids, and took Steve's shield, before walking around in his illusion doing and saying awful things causing a group of people to chase him in anger. The only ones he refused to prank were Natasha and Bruce, the agent was almost impossible to prank with her quick thinking and action. As for the scientist he didn't want to anger him and have a conflict with the Hulk… again. But as he walked past the lap he saw a Midgardian who was helping bruce, after more observation, he learned that her name was (Y/n), a recently hired personal assistant for Bruse so the work won't stress him and would be easier on him.
And that was his next target. He decided that tricking the assistant was almost as equal to tricking the Hulk.
And so one day he waited by the café in the ground level of the Avengers tower to "coincidentally" meet the assistant to learn more of her before deciding on a special prank for her. Loki was ready with his charm to seduce the young lady and win her trust in case she also acted hostile like many humans did after learning who he was, he was even ready if she threw a hot cup at him, What he was not ready for was her excitedly introducing.
"It's a great pleasure to finally meet you." She said with a big smile. "I mean, I could have met you before but Dr. Bruce always told me against it after the invasion of New York, But Thor said you were brainwashed, which amazed me since I thought it was impossible, maybe it because of the mind stone, can you get brainwashed by regular magic? Speaking of Magic do all Asgardians have magic powers or is just your family? What kind of powers do you have? Is it a personality trait or-"
She stopped mid-sentence when her eyes widened in realization. Loki Thought that she was realizing who was she talking to and should heed her superior's advice to stay away from him, but it was the opposite.
"I'm sorry I was babbling again." She said timidly with a weary smile. And Loki couldn't help but think it was… cute.
"Don't be, little mortal." He said with a charming smile. "It is understandable to be amazed by the power of a god and his origin."
His words seemed to assure her as she smiled back at him with confidence this time.
"If you don't mind, would you join me for my coffee break?" She asked almost hesitant. "Fair warning I'd be asking about Asgard and your powers a lot."
Loki told himself that he would spend some time with her and pretend to be friends in order to know more and create the perfect prank. But the more time he spends the more he forgot about his first reason for befriending the little mortal. He'd amaze her tricks and illusion he could muster with his magic, make her laugh by taking the Avengers image and impersonating them, But the thing he enjoyed the most is when the two of them sat together and talked for hours, it would start with the little assistant asking him more about Asgard and its true history, then the conversation would change to them sharing stories about their lives, thoughts for the future, and when he became a bit comfortable he told her about his true origin how did he discover it, Loki expected her to demand to see his Jotunn form for scientific reasons, but he was relieved when she never talked about it unless he did, which was rare. Thor would tease him, saying how he is happy to see him making friends, but the rest of the Avengers weren't as happy, they threatened the God that if he hurt her there would be hell to pay, he even caught them several times telling (Y/n) to be careful around him, but what really annoyed him the most was when Bruce started to take the little assistant to his lap to "help him" which Loki immediately know it was a lie, not only because he was the god of lies but also because of the way the Doctor looked at him as he dragged her away.
Frustrated by how your meetings were now limited and his brother traveling back to Asgard Loki decided to take the chance of no one paying attention to him and leave the tower and walk the street of the City he once tried to destroy. He used a spell to make his appearance unrecognizable to anyone who might know him so he may enjoy his time without worrying about the avengers or even something as simple as a scared mortal.
He stopped for a moment when he sensed hidden magic, a powerful one too. He did his best to concentrate and track it down, leading him to a building that had some kind of charm around it to keep it hidden. But not from Loki whose curiosity got the better of him as he opened a hole in the vail so he may enter before closing it behind him so he may not attract attention. He sneaked through the hallways, using his illusion when the resident of the building, who looked like sorcerers walked in the same direction he was going. Knowing that Midgard amazed him for he thought them to be a weak realm, but again this same realm has heroes who stopped him and his alien army.
He made his way through the hallways excited to explore the new magic. He found three windows, each one showing different scenery one of an ocean, one of a desert, and one of a green forest. When he opened the desert window he was met with scorching heat and if that did convince him he leaned in supporting his body with the frames and he could see that the window was hanging in the air as if it was floating. Excited to see what is more to see, Loki continued to explore and hide from anyone's sight until he found a room that had different ancient artifacts that are secure in a glass box. Of course to the human, they were just that artifacts, but Loki could sense the magic they held. A movement caught his eyes when he passed one of the artifacts. It was a long red floating cloak that matched his movement when he went left and right.
"Hmm… this is quite interesting, but red is not really my color sooo…" He said with a shrug, The cloak seemed offended by his words as it turned its back on him, which made Loki chuckle with excitement that the cloak had a mind of its own.
"No red is not my color…. but this is." He said with a grin when he found a vial with a green liquid that glows slightly and Loki knew one thing… he must have it.
He first tried to find an opening of some kind but there was none, he tried to lift the glass box but it was attached to the display. Having no other choice, Loki conjured a small dagger that was sharp enough to cut the glass, he made a circular opening that was big enough to take the vial out, and then put then the glass back in the hole using his magic to cast an illusion that there was no hint of any damage to the glass. Loki didn't have the chance to admire his new obtained item as he could hear footsteps coming closer. Having nowhere else to hide or escape too Loki went to the round window and tried to open it, but the window only allowed a small opening, so he hid the vial with his magic and transformed himself into a snake that could slither easily through it. He maneuvered his way above the window frames and pipes and when he was sure he was far enough he turned back to his previous form his hands on his pockets one of them patting his new mysterious item.
Unaware of the eyes that followed him as he disappeared into the corner.
 ---
Loki let out a frustrated growl as he threw the vial on his bed.
The moment he had returned to his room Loki tried to open the vial and test its content on some Avenger "Volunteer". But he couldn't even make the metal croak budge from its place, he even tried to create a small crack on the vial so that some of the liquid would be released but even when he placed the thing it remained in perfect contact. Loki based his room back and forth trying to come up with a way to open it. His mind was so preoccupied that he didn't notice that someone was in the room, nor when they conjured magic and pointed it in the God.
Loki let out a choked gasp before his body unwillingly started to transform, when he opened his eyes he found himself on the floor, he tried to bring his hand to his face but couldn't. When he had a better look at the rest of his body he found himself covered in dark green scales then he realized he was back to his snake form.
"You really shouldn't steal something that isn't yours, you know."
Said a voice, Loki turned and he saw a hooded figure with bright yellow robes, who with a flick of their wrest the vial flew to their hand.
 "That's mine!"
He tried to shout but only hisses came out, he tried to turn back but he couldn't either. Loki was panicking as he slithers in his place and tried to make sense of what was happening. He suddenly was floating from the ground and came closer to the hooded figure, who revealed themselves. The god expected to see an angry bearded man, he didn't expect to be met with a soft smile of a pale woman with blue eyes.
"Loki, god of mischief, prince of Asgard, the rightful heir of Jotunheimen, and brother of Thor God of Thunder." She greeted.
"What have you done to me!" (HISS!..Hisss!)
Loki was frustrated when he couldn't speak again, but it seemed he didn't need to as she understood him.
"I cast a little spell to teach you a lesson for stealing Oktid's Elixir."
 "Oktid's Elixir?" (hiss?)
"A magical elixir, one that has the power to erase what troubles the mind of man… or a god." She explained. "Is that why you stole it?... to erase your troubled mind?"
Loki thrashed in the air as he hissed angrily trying to free himself but to no use. He refused to be toyed with in such away. The woman kept staring at him, seeing the anger in his eyes, most importantly noticing how his eyes kept glimpsing at the Elixir in her hand, probably contemplating using it after learning of its true power. The ancient one was not blind, she knew who he was, the life he had, how he learned his truth, Which leads to the invasion of New York, a battle she did not join for she knew the Avengers would be able to handle it, taking priority into protecting the sanctum.
"Stealing such valuable item should not be overlooked, therefore, your punishment shall be to remain the snake that you are with no ability to use magic, Forever." She said in all seriousness.
"WHAT?! NO!" (HISS!? HISSSS!) He was starting to panic, trying to prove her wrong by transforming back, or conjuring a dagger to stab her with, or even small illusion, any spell that would assure him that she was wrong, that he could still, at least, use his magic, but nothing.
"But!" She continued earning the Green snake's full attention. "I am not without sympathy, especially for someone like yourself. So the spell will be broken and you can turn back with all your power, only if you were kissed by someone who loved you, if not a little even."
The ancient one said before gently placing the snake down. when Loki turned to her, to get more answers, to demand being turned back, she was already going through a circular portal that closed behind her immediately. The god-turned snake stayed in his place, staring at the air at where the portal has closed, the room was enveloped in deafening silence, which woke him from his shock as he turned and slithered to the door. Determined that there is an alternative solution because "A kiss of love" sounded like a complete lie, meant to mislead him from the real solution.
And for against his own pride, Loki decided to go for the Avengers for help.
 ---
Loki did his best to hide from human eyes as he slithered through the halls, which was difficult considering his coloring and that many humans filled the tower. It didn't take long for someone to sport him and start screaming and throw things in his directions, the small panic gave him a chance to slither a bit faster, but he had to dodge the feet that tried to stomp him, and for those who were brave enough to try and grab him he only needed to his and bare his fangs on their direction causing them to fall back in startled fear. When the elevator opened he rushed in scaring out those who were already there. He did a spin before jumping to the railing to get closer to the buttons, he pressed the one to the roof where the Avengers would be there before relaxing a bit.
The god did turn to animals before, different kinds, there were ones who were more difficult to maneuver than a snake, but without magic, limps, and being one of the most hated creatures there is to Midgard, made it impossible.
The doors opened and Loki exited quickly, one look around the room he saw Tony, Pepper Natasha, and Clint, who were all looking back at him when the elevator door opened. That's when he realized he didn't know how to communicate with them.
"Oh my god, a snake!" Exclaimed Pepper before jumping away to a further corner.
That was enough to make the rest jump in an alert. Tony was shielding Pepper while holding one of his hands up as if he had his blasters. Loki rolled his eyes when he saw Clint carefully making his way to him.
"It's alright, these guys are usually more scared of you than you are of the- YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Clint shouted when Loki launched forward to bite his hand out of anger for his words to him, startling the archer.
"Scared of you?... Don't make me laugh!" (Hiss!...Hisss hiss!)
"Move." Said Nat to her partner, when he did Loki's eyes widened when he saw her pointing a gun at him.
Not waiting for a second more Loki slithered as fast as he could across the room avoiding the shots that were too close for his liking, couple of them went over his head and neck. In the end, he took refuge between the sofa's hoping that staying out of the agent's vision would give him a couple of seconds to rest. Those few seconds were all that Natasha needed for her to lift the pillow and launch her hand to grab his head ad the other his tail to prevent him from moving.
 "Unhand me, Damn woman!" (HISSSSS!)
No matter how many times Loki twisted and turned in her hands he could not slip away.
"Great job triple imposter." Said Tony before taking the drink he abandoned.
"How did that thing even get here?" Said Clint as he came closer to inspect the snake.
"Is.. is it Loki's doing?" asked pepper who was still hiding behind Tony.
 "YES! YES, IT'S ME!"
Loki wanted to shout but he was unable because of Natasha's hold over his mouth and his inability to communicate as a snake.
"Unlikely, if it was Loki he'd either turn back to his original form or the illusion disappearing when I held it." Explained Natasha, earning a confused look from those in the room. "Thor told me a little story of when they were kids, in short, Loki can take animal forms."
"Just great." Muttered Clint. "So what we should do with this one?"
 "Release it?" Suggested pepper.
"Where? In the wild? We live in the middle of New York the only green here is in Central Park and even there they don't allow snakes." Said Tony before going to pour another drink.
"I can just snap its neck and be done with it." Said Natasha Casually. Earning Series of "No!" and Loki's look of horror.
"Can we just call someone professional?" Asked Pepper who was starting to feel petty for the snake.
"Yes, call pest control because the avengers are scared of a snake, that's a good headline."
Everyone rolled their eyes at Tony's sarcastic comment. Clint who had enough of this came to Natasha.
"Give it to me I'll take care of it."
"You're sure?" Asked Nat with a raised brow.
"Yeah, how hard can it be?" Replied Clint hiding his nervousness.
Nat shrugged before handing the green Snake to her partner, but her loosening her grip was all that Loki needed to twist fast enough to slip from their grip and escape. Both agents tried to chase him but fortunately, Loki was very familiar with a snake body so he dodged every attempt to catch him. His attention went back to the Elevator where a small "Ding" came informing them that someone had arrived. And he took that chance.
"Excuse me Miss potts but there are some papers that need- AAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!"
Loki slipped between the secretary's legs and jumped on the railing again before pushing the button that leads to his floor. Everyone stood in shock as they watched the elevator doors close, none of them believing what they just witnessed. Tony looked at his drink before pouring the rest of the content in the Mini-bar's sink.
 "That was bad liquor."
 ---
Back to his room, Loki was hiding beneath his bed, circling on himself as he, sulking at his current situation. The sorceress told him that all it takes for him to turn back is to be kissed by someone who loved him, the only person that came to his mind was Thor, but he won't be back for a while. However, that was not the true reason for his sadness, The sorceress made it clear that even a kiss from someone who genuinely liked him would free him, which made him realize that no one does, no one even trusts him so how could he expect them to like him. He stayed in his place trying to figure out what to do as he waited for Thor's return, he was so deep in thought that he didn't notice when his doors opened, but he did notice the voice.
"Loki, are you here?" A familiar voice called. "Sorry to come unexpectedly, I just wanted to ask you more about The Golden Apples of Idunn, Do they grew everywhere on Asgard? And if they don't what kind of growing environment do they need?"
Loki watched from his place as the little assistant looked for him around the room, continuing to throw a question after the other to say the god was happy to see his friend again after so long would be an understatement, he was about to come out and greet her momentarily forgetting his state before stopping in realization. Memories of what happened a few hours ago with the Avengers came back, and that made Loki feel fear of what her reaction would be, will she scream? Is she going to run away? will she try and kill him as well? Just because he was a snake… a frightening snake that everyone hates… she probably would too. Memories of his time with you made him smile fondly and built his courage to try and trust you to help him. Slowly he slithered out from under his bed to make himself known to you.
 "Hey." (hiss.)
A small greeting to catch (Y/n)'s attention, which it did. The moment their eyes locked Loki could see the smile flatter slowly on her face as she saw the snake. The fear that Loki pushed away had come crashing back down, all his questioning on how would she react are about to come true, he did not want to see or hear it he wanted to go back under the bed and hide forever. Loki was expecting everything, but not what you said next.
 "Loki?" She asked timidly.
 "Yes, it's me!" (Hiss!)
Loki hissed excitedly as he gave a small turn causing the scientist to giggle at his odd behavior.
"What are you doing? is this a prank?" she asked as she came closer to kneel in front of him.
Loki wanted to answer but he knew talking with her was no use so he decided to take a different route.
"Hiss!... Hiss!" He paused for a second to see her reaction.
 "No?" She asked.
"Clever girl." He thought to himself, delighted that she understood his yes and no answers.
"Do you have a problem?" She asked again as she offered her hands for him to climb on.
"Hiss!" He answered as he slithered around her forearm.
"You… Don't know how to transform yourself back?" She asked in confusion.
"Hiss!" He again answered as he rested his head on her wrest enjoying the warmth and the steady pulse of her heart.
(Y/n) looked at him confused as she gently ran the tip of her fingers on the top of his head to try and soothe him. He understood her confusion, after all, he told her that he was master of illusion so for him to be stuck just like that was strange and suspicious. A small giggle pulled him out of his state of comfort to look up at her.
"You know, you actually make a really cute snake." She said as her fingers left the top of his head to rub his chin, which delighted the god greatly.
As he was admiring her from his view his eyes landed on her lips, which raised the question of how could he ask her to kiss him. Loki would be lying if he said he never imagined himself being kissed by those soft lips, but because he cared too much for his relationship with her that he never acted on his feelings. Now, however, he has an excuse, he needs a kiss to turn back, then again what if he didn't, if she kissed him and didn't turn back would make the god realize with a broken heart that she didn't return his feelings, which made him hesitate.
"Hey, I was joking don't look so sad." She said soothingly as she sat on his bed and laid him down but Loki made his way back on her lap and nuzzling his head on the palm of her hand wanting her to continue petting him and she obliged. "You know we should try thinking of a way to turn you back, Can you tell me how did this happen?"
 "Hiss!... Hiss!"
"No, You can't, or No, you won't?"
 "Hiss!"
 "Alright, was it your doing?"
 "Hiss!... Hiss!"
 (Y/n)'s eyes widened in surprise.
 "So someone else did it?"
 "Hiss!"
"Who was it? a new enemy?"
Loki didn't know how to answer that, how can he tell her that it was a sorceress who cursed him after stealing a valuable Elixir from her. so he just shook his head gesturing that he can't answer that question.
 "Are they targeting the tower?"
 "Hiss!... Hiss!"
"Just you?... Why? Are they an old enemy of yours?"
 "….hiss…hiss…"
Loki answered with slight embarrassment, which (Y/n) caught and her looks of worries turned to one of none amused.
 "You provoked someone, didn't you?"
Loki was feeling proud at how smart his darling (Y/n) is, to remember his old stories and put the pieces together.
"..hiss…" It was a timid "yes.", which made the scientist sigh with a small shake of her head.
"You really should stop antagonizing people when you are bored." She lectured as she gave his nose a little tap with her finger.
"Did they at least give a hint on how turning you back?" She asked. "We maybe have advanced technology, but not one advanced enough to alter DNA and change species."
Loki didn't answer as he stared at her for a moment before moving to climb up her arm, (Y/n) thankfully didn't flinch, she just moved a little to make his movement easier. When he reached her shoulder Loki hesitated for a moment before shyly moving his head closer to her face where he nudged his temple to the corner of her mouth. When she moved away from his touch Loki was terrified that he disgusted or frightened her, but he was met with a puzzled look.
"You…You want me to… Kiss you?" She asked.
 "Hiss!" (Yes!)
(Y/n) narrowed his eyes suspiciously at him before looking around her, making Loki is the one confused now.
"Are you sure this isn't a prank?" She asked again with nervousness.
 "Hiss!!.. Hisss!" (No!... Trust me!)
Those hisses sounded disparate to (Y/n) who decided to trust the God. Gently she untangled him from around her arm so she can put him down his bed. Probably to give him space to turn back. Loki thought about how adorable (Y/n) looked as she shyly leaned down to kiss him on the top of his head. Loki closed his eyes when it happened, ready for a flash or anything, but he felt nothing, he clenched his bed in frustration, and that was when he realized… he was clenching the bed… with his fingers.
 "Loki?"
(Y/n) called worriedly, making him open his eyes and that when he saw his little scientist look up to him as she was kneeling to the ground when she kissed him. Loki looked down at himself and saw that he has his body back, he looked at his hands, moving his fingers confirming that he was back again, and delighted to have his limps again.
"I'm back." He whispered, and he chuckled slightly when he heard his own voice and not Hisses.
"How are you feeling?" she asked as she stood up to stand in front of him.
Loki looked up to her to say something but became speechless when his eyes landed on hers, making him remember that the kiss worked only because (Y/n) loved him if not a little. She recognized him, she understood him, she wasn't afraid, she stayed to help him, and most importantly, She trusted him. Loki smiled at her then lifted her hand to kiss the back of her hand in gratitude.
"I am more than better darling." He purred to her. "Thank you."
Loki had always a feeling for (Y/n) but never acted on them because he was afraid to lose her, but now, maybe, just maybe, he had a chance with her.

________
You wanted to slap yourself. What the hell was wrong with you today? Why did you tell Peter that?!
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean...” Completely baffled with you behavior, you were deeply ashamed, unable to look the guy in the eyes and wanting nothing but fall into the earth.
“Ah, I got it. It’s Steve, isn’t it?” All of a sudden, Peter let out an irritated sigh, rolling his eyes skywards and rubbing his neck. “Of course, who else would say such nonsense. Blackmail, really? Funny he didn’t call me a stalker or anything.”
“Listen, I didn’t mean it, I’m really-”
“It’s ok.” He closed the locker, slamming its door loudly and making you jump. “It’s not your fault. If I heard that from somebody, I’d be scared too.”
He spent a couple of seconds staring into the wall until he rubbed his neck again tiredly and huffed. It took him less than a minute to regain his composure, and you heard him murmuring, “What a freak.”
He didn't return to the corridor, heading to the sports hall for his PE class, instead moving to the bench in the locker room and motioning you to sit. Feeling terribly awkward, you hoped he wasn't going to do anything out of anger, even though he had every right to be upset at your stupid behavior.
"About what he said," Peter took a deep breath, "it's nothing like that. I don't dig up some nasty stuff in the web to blackmail people. I've never done it. The reason why Mr. I-am-better-than-you said that is because I've made him take me into his little bodyguard group when I heard him talking to Loki. You're nice, and I wanted to help. Of course, Steve started acting like I was some creep, so he refused, and I had to remind him that, technically, he had to report your issue to the administration, not play a hero. I said that if I go and tell the whole story to the dean, Steve's gonna be in trouble because he knew who thieves were and didn't report them."
It was a loud off your mind. Goodness. Rogers called this a blackmail? Really? Just because Peter pushed Steve into taking him into their group?
You were less and less sure Rogers was sane. You definitely had to be careful around him.
"I can't believe he called it a blackmail." You admitted quietly, and the guy sent you a tired smile. "Peter, I'm so, so sorry. It was so stupid of me."
"Nah, don't worry. I'd freak out too if I didn't know the whole story."
You knew your apologies weren't enough, but you hoped Peter didn't take it to heart - if you can take such an accusation easily, that is. Shit, shit, shit, why did you believe everything these guys were saying? You didn't even know them in the first place! Why on Earth did you go asking them their opinions on others if all of them were biased, and every guy could twist the truth the way he liked? You shouldn't have let their words affect you that much.
"Whatever. At least now you know what Rogers is like." Peter sent you a grim smile and got up, picking his bright yellow sackpack from the floor. "Shit, I gotta go if I don't wanna be late. Let's meet in a library later, alright?"
"O-of course." You hurriedly stood up and left the lockers room after him, turning to the library: your Lit class was cancelled, so you decided to go study right away. At this time, the library was usually full, and you felt safe there.
Your thoughts were all about the guys again even when you were staring at your laptop, trying to focus on Excel numbers. Why did you feel like the atmosphere between them was so dense? If they were at such terms with each other, why did they group together to help you? What, because all of them loved you so much? It was ridiculous. There was something else to it, and you didn't know. You had a feeling no one was going to tell you the truth until you figured it all out by yourself.
Weird. It was all so weird. Steve's plan, their behavior, the relationships between them, and your nagging feeling they all were hiding something. Was it them who were actually following you?
The thought scared you to the point you started shivering. Oh shit.
"Hi there," the guy appeared behind your back so suddenly you almost jumped, looking at him wide-eyed, "sorry, did I startle you?"
"H-hi Jake! No, it's ok, I was just... studying." Both of you were talking in hushed voices, knowing the librarian would kick you out immediately if she heard some noise. "How are you?"
"I'm great, how're you?" You could hear concern in his voice: he was one of Thor's friends you met yesterday, and although you spoke briefly, Thor definitely told him more about you. "You look a bit worried."
"Oh, it's Math, I didn't really understand the topic, and we're having an exam on Monday... guess I'll be studying the whole weekend." You gave him your best smile to reassure you were totally ok, and the guy relaxed a little, smiling at you, too.
"I'm sure you'll pass. Thor said you're very smart."
What, he said that to all of them? Was he simply boasting about his girlfriend to his friends or was there something more to it?
"You're too kind. Thank you."
His smile grew wider, and he landed on the next seat to yours, resting his hands on the table. Apparently, there was something he wanted to talk to you about, and you grew uneasy.
"Listen, about these incidents... Thor told us all about it, so if you see any freaks following you around, you can message any of us, and we'll come right away." Looking at his serious expression, his bushy brows furrowed, you hoped he eas being sincere with you: you had enough with people you could no longer trust. "And also... that kid, if he's giving you troubles or anything, just let me know, and I'll tell him to keep his hands to himself"
Oh, he was talking about Peter, wasn't he? He had probably seen that silly photo. Wow, you though, Peter was totally right about Instagram: it was the best news source in the academy.
Thanking him for his concern, you laughed a little, convincing him there was nothing serious except for the theft and promising to tell him if anything weird would be going on. While it should have made you feel safer, in fact, you only grew more frustrated with this situation. You wanted to forget about these freaks and just spend you day like any normal student would, but everywhere you went people were staring at you as if you had a horn; one boyfriend or the other was always close to protect you from some unknown danger, and although you believed they tried to help, you hated the feeling they were hiding something from you. Why did you have to be going through all this? Wasn't it really better to drop off school, spend a year working and then apply to a better place?
Thinking of the faces your parents would make once you returned home, you realized it wasn't. This school with all those creeps wasn't worse than home that never felt like a safe place you wanted to come back to. Besides, all money you saved up until now were only good for buying food and things like that: you'd never afford to rent a decent place unless you found a well-paid job. It meant staying with your parents, and it wouldn't be much better than here, just different. If you wanted to drop off, you had to find a good place to stay.
Well, you could at least try, right?
When Peter met you in the library, the two of you no longer talked about anything important, simply studying together to prepare for the exams next week. It didn't feel off: from time to time you met his gaze, and the both of you smiled. You were thankful he didn’t talk about Steve or other guys or that weirdo in the lockers room.
Once you returned home, you went straight to bed, completely exhausted. Luckily, you did much more than yesterday, so you could rest now, but then you thought of Thor kissing you and bit down the pillow, angry at yourself. Why did you keep thinking of him right now?
______________
When you woke up the next morning, you felt like something was off: your body ached, your throat hurt, and your headache was only making it worse. Dammit, you caught a cold, probably. And that’s when it was finally the day to meet Steve, the guy you thought was a mastermind behind all these manipulations that were making you sick to the core.
Anyway, it’s not like a mere cold would prevent you from doing everything you had planned. You left your bed and went to the bathroom, moving the dresser before again.
Honestly, it felt terrible. It was definitely because of that flimsy dress you wore to school yesterday when the weather was becoming chilly. Argh. Watching your puffy eyes and swollen nose, you sneezed. Today you had to apply way more makeup to look decently.
Steve showed up earlier than either Thor or Peter: you had to skip your breakfast, hoping to buy something cheap in the cafeteria.
“Good morning.” He said with his everyday polite expression that soon shifted into a concerned one. “Are you alright?”
What, was it that bad? You did your absolute best to apply enough makeup and do your hair. Did you still look so sick?
“Good morning. Yes, I’m ok, just feeling a little sleepy.” You yawned on purpose, covering your mouth with your hand, and Steve’s face softened.
“Did you study all night?”
“Yep, exams are driving me a little crazy.”
“I understand. I also stayed late last night.”
Of course, the student council president studying all days long to be number one student in the academy. If you didn’t know of his twisted nature, you’d think he was the most typical nerd.
You spent most of the time either in silence or talking about studies, the academy, and everything related to it. Steve acted like a gentleman and a scholar, albeit a little too demonstratively. Walking with you as if he were a king of the place, he constantly replied to greetings of others, waved to his acquaintances and smiled. You felt so off you wanted to find Loki and walk with him: unlike Steve, he was considered unpleasant by the prevailing majority of students.
“Are you sure you’re going to be alright?” America golden boy asked you for the last time, and you forced yourself to smile.
“Of course. Thanks for coming, see you later, Steve.”
As he finally left you in peace, you almost fell down into your chair, your fever only getting worse despite the fact you took some painkillers. It was going to be a long day.

Tender Ch. 1 - Loki x Mute! Reader
Summary: Even though Loki doesn’t understand why the new member of the Avengers should be kind to him of all people, he doesn’t want you to stop either.

Words: ~2100
Tumblr media
[Story Masterlist] [All of my Works]
All eyes were on him again.
As soon as Loki would step inside, the previously lively room would fall completely silent. Well, it’s not like he wasn’t used to being the involuntary kill-joy...
Usually, the God of Mischief craved attention, may it be positive or negative - most of the time being the latter. But lately, after months of having all those distrustful and hostile glares piercing holes into him, he’d rather wish for the ground to swallow him whole.
“Umm, so...I gotta go.” Natasha was the first one to flee the unpleasant atmosphere, not even putting the energy into mutter anything else than a cheap excuse on her way out. Clint wordlessly followed her close after, but not without shooting the Odinson one last, spiteful look.
Loki on the other hand was picking on his hands, a nervous habit he had inherited from his mother. As much as he tried to avoid meeting their eyes, the tensioned aura they were emitting making him feel close to breaking down completely - but he would never give them the satisfaction to witness this, he swore to himself.
And yet: Maybe he should just leave. Disappear, forever.
Although he’d never admit, Loki had grown very tired of his life following this stirr path, unable to diverge into a new direction. Everything he did would ultimately bring death and destruction upon mankind, inflicting fear in the hearts of all people.
His whole existence was based on being condemned to fail - just for others to reach their ‘glorius purpose’.
“Great” Tony scoffed. “Now they’re gone. Well done, prince of nothing.” Steve cut his friend off, clearing his throat very exaggeratedly.
The god still hadn’t moved from the doorframe of the conference room, while all others were already sitting on the oval-shaped table. He didn’t got what all that fuss was about. If Steve didn’t insist him to attend this emergency meeting, he’d just have gone about his usual business and avoided everyone as good as he could.
“C’mon, brother” Thor sighed, well knowing that if his brother was to stay in the team, it would ultimatively drive a wedge between them. All that pressure in the air was straining for everyone, including himself.
Tony on the other hand was pretty chill about everything, aside of being passive-aggressive. This was probably due to their similar coping styles.
Even though his near-death-experience back when he stopped the Chitauri was still eating on his mental health, he’d prefer glossing over it with stupid jokes and overly confident behaviour. “No sassy remark today, Reindeer Games?”
Stark was leaning back in his chair, arms crossed as he rose an eyebrow on the god, who only muttered a hoarse “No...not today.”
Yeah, it was kind of his style to break the unsettling silence through puny comments or self-glorifying speeches, to distract from his own insecurity.
But right now, he was just so damn tired.
Of this planet and it’s people, as well as the humiliating circumstances he had to dwell in. The fact that he was a prisoner at the Stark Tower, amongst his worst enemies. Being forced by his brother to keep up this meaningless act, as if he’d ever be seen as a team member or ally - when in reality, he was but a slave to the people he once ought to reign.
Just like back on Asgard: Never one of them, never belonging. No way to break free - for his true self was something to be loathed.
However, first and foremost the one thing he was especially tired of was himself, for he couldn’t get out of his own skin. Not only could he never be considered a hero, let alone be redeemed.
After all the atrocities he had commited due to Thanos’ torture and the tesseract’s influence,  now that he woke up from that naive dream of power stilling the emptiness in his dark heart, there was nothing left for him - other than to be haunted by his crimes until the mercy of death would overcome him.
“Well” Steve began, slamming his palms on the desk to attract everyone’s attention. “As you all know, we are welcoming a new team member today.”
“They all know?” Of course they wouldn’t let him in on such sensitive information. Not that he minded either way - one Avenger more or less, it didn’t matter how many people hated him in here.
“Please, come on in.”
Loki cleared the entrance when he heared Tony’s words, turning around in anticipation of another dull creature like the Hulk to torment him - but his calm demeanour dropped completely at this unusual sight:
“Y-You?!”
That was simply not possible! The last time he had seen you was almost a year ago, and you were on the brink of death at that!
“For everyone that doesn’t know yet: Her name is Y/N Y/L/N. She is one of the victims HYDRA experimented on, and they succeeded in forming an artificial mutant.”
Steve went on and on explaining about your powers, but Loki’s head had already turned on autopilot, the only thing he could concentrate on being how the hell you of all people ended up here.
All these months, he was desperately trying to get any information about you, all of his hints ultimately leading him to dead ends - and in the end, tragically believing in your imminent death.
The memories were still painfully vivid in his mind: It was his first mission together with the Avengers, at a HYDRA hideout with most likely no civil survivors.
Actually, he had planned to make his escape right when the others engaged in a fight, wandering the hallways of what resembled a torture chamber rather than a laboratory.
On the walls were several instructions, about a serum that might cause a human to mutate if they were exposed to unbearable stress - pain being the most effective method, apparently.
Yet instead of finding anything useful for his personal gain, he found you: A  beautiful woman, yet emaciated and lying in a puddle of her own blood. At first he thought you to be dead just like the others - but as soon as your faint whimpers drang to his ears, he burst the cell you were trapped in open, rushing to your side immediately.
“Shh...” the god scooped you up from the cold stone floor, wrapping his cloak around your broken body. “Everything is alright now. Your savior is here.”
Loki gasped as he felt your hand stroking his cheekbone, even through all your pain and weakness wanting to bid your hero this due respect.
“Hel...you humans are such fragile creatures...” Loki muttered under his breath, cursing his own lack of talent when it came to casting healing spells. “Hang in there, look at me!”
Your eyes were teary and bloodshot, yet not less fit to bring across a message no words ever could: Incredible gratitude, and admiration.
He could tell you were close to passing out when your hand left his face, falling limp to the side. But he held you firmly in his arms, not once stopping to utter sweet words of encouragement as he made his way to the ship, leading you into safety.
“Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man?”
Those were the words he once directed at Black Widow - but only now he understood her attempts.
Saving one person could never make up for all the lives he had destroyed - and yet he knew that for you, it would mean the world none the less.
In one way or another, with your life at his mercy, he began to finally grasp the preciousness of life, and doing everything in one’s might to protect it.
“Reindeer Games” Tony tapped on his shoulders, making Loki wake from his pondering. “I’d appreciate if you didn’t scare her away on the first day already.”
Oh.
Just now he was noticing his own grim expression, having towered over your much smaller form this whole time with furrowed brows.
“My apologies” was his firm response, but you only shook your head, trying to tell him it was not a big deal.
So this was what you looked like when you’re not imprisoned, he realized when he took in your physique.
Much to his pleasure, all of your wounds had seemingly healed, and you finally gained some much needed weight. Like this, you looked so much more healthier - and most definetly even more bewitching than he remembered you.
If people had let him know, would he have visited your sickbed, aiding you towards health again? Who knows...
Yet somehow, he dwelled in the thought of you being able to lead a happy life now that you were free - which made your decision to seek out the Avengers in wish for more battles even harder for him to accept.
“You are incredibly strong, Lady Y/N” Loki spoke firmly, everyone else rolling their eyes at his usual exaggeration - but you knew he meant every word. “Be sure of my eternal respect.”
The God of Lies’ eyes widened in excitement when you directed a warm smile at him, knowing for sure that this one was genuine. It wasn’t like those fake smirks the other Avengers gave him out of politeness, or the mocking laughs when they were making fun of or excluding him.
No - that one was just pure affection. And it left him in awe.
“Thank you for saving me back then” you signed, just for Loki shooting you a puzzled look.
“What, I thought the all-tongue knows every language?” Tony yelled, as inconsiderate as always. Thor was quick to explain on his brother’s stead, him still being deeply invested with you. “Every spoken one, yes. ASL is not one of our fortes.”
Usually, Loki had always been a quick thinker. But right now he was to bewildered by your appearance that thinking straight was out of the question.
What language were they speaking of? And why have you not been saying anything up until now? Maybe his presence was making you uncomfortable, after all? Should he leave on your behalf?
To make it easier for him to understand, you rolled down your turtleneck, revealing the unsighty scar that covered your whole throat.
There were not many people bold enough to come close to the God of Mischief without warning, yet suddenly you simply took his hand and slowly led it to your neck.
How could you be so naive and offer someone like him such a vital spot?! He’ll never get the human philosophy...
And yet, the flabbergasted god hesistantly let his hand run over the scar, while you opened your mouth to no avail - for 11 months already, no tone would leave your vocal cords.
“I’m incredibly sorry...” Loki whispered with a sorrowful tone, while the others just stared in disbelief. “If only I was able to heal this wound back then...”
What a puny god he was...and an even more pathetic wanna-be-hero at that...
He would try to take a few steps back, but you took a hold of his hand, squeezing it with both of yours, that cheerful smile not faltering in the slightest.
“Please, don’t be sad. I’m only alive thanks to you!” Bucky, whose cousin was mute as well, translated what you were signing for Loki. His tone sounded quite irritated, not fitting those meaningful words. “I only wanted to join the Avengers because I want to be just like you. You’re my idol!”
Those words touched him deeply, igniting a flame inside of him he thought long to be defunct. Was it hope?
Of course it was not nearly enough to pull him out of that deep, dark hole he felt trapped in for as long as he could remember - yet somehow, he now felt that it was not impossible to escape.
While the others were cringing at your declaration, making jokes about ‘choosing wrong idols’ or would plainly not believe Loki to have a positive effect on anyone, the two of you would just stare at each other in silent admiration.
Shyly, you signed yet another word for him - and this time, Loki would know what you mean from pure intuition.
He smiled.
For the first time in what felt like forever, Loki was able to smile again, just thanks to your heartwarming welcome. And he was still blissfully unaware about what effect you could have on him, if he was brave enough to let you close.
One thing was sure: You literally had him wrapped around his finger from the very start.

Do you have houses combos you love besides Snake Bird ?
Hi sorry it’s take me so long to get to you ‘nonnie human you. I promise if anyone sends me questions, I will get to them eventually! It just takes a while for me thinking about them, researching about them (doing Birdy Bird things with even a one-sentence question...), forgetting I have a sort-hat-chats centered tumblr account (which is... can sort of a Bird thing but also a me thing), and then coming back so we are here (there. somewhere)
I myself am a Snake-Bird. I think I’m pretty neat. Birds are usually very good at entertaining themselves. I think. And I’m lucky I like myself enough because I spend a lot of time with me haha.
I’m a little in love with a remarkable amount of Lion primaries, Snake secondaries and Bird primaries (especially with a Snake secondary to make them extra hard to hold onto *rolls eyes) and apparently I love writing Badger Primaries? I guess I find the challenge of building an “ideal” society that is willing to address the current failings of our timeline a worthwhile challenge and my ink-children rise from the ether to meet me.
I’ve expanded below bar because this is actually a really interesting concept to me - how does a particular house combination react to the others. Below is just my meandering through how specifically My Snake Primary Bird secondary might react on a surface level to the other house types. This doesn’t mean I’m right. There are as many ways of acting within the house system as there are human beings and keep in mind, this is all in good fun.
____________________
Lions
The Idealism of the Lion Primary is something that I find admirable. I posted a more extended musing on the position of Snake Birds within media here. I think the Snake in me understands that when you pick up a person the way Snakes do, you pick up a lot of their wants and regrets too. Snakes pick up People, so that means the whole package. A Lion with a worthy cause can be a very attractive thing to a Snake, who will follow and support them in a very specific kind of way.
With Double Lions, and Lion Snakes there’s that urge to run after them with a fire-extinguisher in one hand and a big stick in the other - one to put out the fires a Double Lion inevitably lights and the Lion Snake may try purposefully to stoke, and the other to beat off anyone who dares to tell your Lion that they cannot Be A Lion. That’s something only the Snake can do, and that’s only because no matter what the Snake says, the Lion is still Their Person warts and all and the Snake Bird knows damn well what they were getting into, or at least thought they did.
Lion Birds house-match secondaries with Snake Birds but can have explosively different moral codes, largely because they method match. I personally find some Lion Bird characters a little grating because as the audience, I feel I’m getting the same information as the Lion, but as a Snake I have a little too much self-preservation to imagine myself doing anything much about it - at least not the way a majority of Lion Bird characters act - or I come to different conclusion. I also hate conspiracy theories because they require leaps of logic the my Bird model typically just can’t tolerate but the felt-house Lion will participate in. However, Lion Birds can also be the hard-boiled PIs, the Best-at-their-Job secret agents (hi Agent Coulson), the one who has Seen the World and Still Believes It Can Be Saved. So that’s admirable and fun.
Lion Badgers are sweet but my Snake Bird goes “fires, fires everywhere”. And like, not the kind your Lion Snake might think is funny when the Snake Bird tries to put them out. Think Steve Rodgers. MCU Steve has a really strong Snake Performance though when it comes to Bucky which MY Snake finds really confusing because it is So Strong I’d be willing to be money he would have at least tried to find a better way to get rid of the Tesseract if Bucky hadn’t fallen from that train and been declared KIA. I think that particular type of Snake performance also confuses Tony, which is part of why Civil War was the way it was.
But yeah, a fire that a Lion Badger wants to light? it’s not going to go out. For a Snake, having that as Your Person means you either really ride or die for them - and might actually literally have to die, or you are keeping them from burning themselves out before they accomplish whatever they’re doing. For a Snake Bird? this is alarming as hell and it’s a fight between the Secondaries to make sure the Lion takes care of themselves as part of the Lion’s “hard work” Badger, if they’re your person.
Birds
Bird primaries will “build” the people they love into the way they see the world. As a Snake, I think this is just really appealing to me? Snakes are loyal, and older Snakes have the life experience to realize that - painful as it is - this loyalty will not always be reciprocated in the way you hope for (this is the stereotypical bone of contention between Lions, Badgers and Snakes. Lions are focused on their cause and if the Snake’s protective instincts get in the way of that, that causes problems It also hurts when a Lion’s mission supersedes their affection for their Snake people. Badgers’ concerns are for their communities and the split of attention can drive the individually focused Snake crazy). If you get built into the Bird’s world, that always felt like something special and something that took hard work, which made it all the more valuable.
My Snake Birds also likes to imagine it’s equipped to learn to the things that a Bird variety believes in and address those things. It’s the kind of relationship that has the potential to go very wrong, and I do realize that. I think Snake Birds have the tendency to want to be everything for Their Person (or people) and our powers of observation mean that we take it a little personally when we’ve missed something. I’m tempted to call Kaz Brekker of Six of Crows a Snake Bird and it drives him to distraction that he can’t be everything, everywhere, all at once to the handful of a people he truly and deeply cares about.
The Bird Snake in particular house matches in a way that can be particularly challenging and attractive to a Snake Bird? A Snake Bird’s tool is, well, the Bird, and the whole persona can feel ridiculously pleased by being able to “pin down” the Bird Snake, which does not necessarily lend itself to being pinned. There’s also this strong urge to understand the Bird Snake.
So there’s the Snake secondary who delights in finding new ways to be, and a Bird Secondary delights in learning new things. The discovery element in that relationship can, as long as the Bird Secondary is not stifled by the Snake Primary’s concern, actually be really rewarding. Birds, and Bird Snakes in particular are also often really unique. They think differently, act differently, can be off putting to certain types of house combinations because their moral code can come off is so blue-orange, and is Built on top of that. Snakes take great pride in being very “this is my Person and their brand of weirdness is just another thing I love about them. And on top of that, I Know them.” with their people in any situation, and if a Snake can eventually prove to their Bird Primary that that feeling is unwavering, that’s a relationship that becomes central to both Snake and Bird.
That isn’t to say Birds can’t go dark, but usually they learn to be that way given Birds are evidence-gatherers. Unfortunately, this means I love them too because people of my generation and all generations before and hence have a thing for characters with trauma (see Loki, greasy prince extraordinaire).  It’s -- it’s never not been a thing. Take a look at freaking Gilgamesh, which is the oldest things that we know of, look at Enkidu, and tell me he wasn’t your favorite. Gilgamesh is kind an arschloch of highest proportions. As a more palatable example of this Bird-villain thing, I sort of suspect Bucky Barnes is a Bird of some flavor. If he killed one person as the Winter Soldier, he’d feel bad but probably admit it was the brain washing - but he did it dozens of times. He wonders what does this say about him? He is possibly a Badger, but even pre-winter-soldier he doesn’t seem to care on as wide a scale as a Badger typically does. Steve is Built into the fabric of his world, and he doesn’t react to Steve’s death the way I expect a Snake to either. Maybe a really Old Seasoned Snake and I mean technically he’s old? but the cryogenics thing sort of means he’s not old enough to just let it go. He also doesn’t follow the boy from Brooklyn for reasons I would expect from a fellow Snake but I guess the new show might give more insight on that once I actually watch it.
Badgers
Okay, I like writing Badgers. [Leans back on chaise lounge] this probably has something to do with my mother.
Really though. I model Badger because my mother, although I love her and I’m really lucky to have her, is a teeny tiny bit horrified by Snake tendencies and drilled into me the morality that it is okay and it is above all Good to care about other people (for other Snakes, read Yes Even Strangers). To be fair, the prioritizing that Snakes do (which can get as focused as ”My people first, even if someone else far away is in trouble and I am acutely aware of it”) can seem pretty horrific to a Badger. They don’t necessarily get how you could believe everyone is a person and just... not care. And it’s hard to convince a Badger (for whom not acting can = they are not worth it) that you know exactly what you’re doing but are also aware that if you try to help everyone your head will explode because you can’t keep that many People up there. It’s why Snakes have their rings of caring.
But the result is that for me, Badgers are usually the ones left standing at the end of the story. If they’re done dirty, I like to try and fix it.
I don’t like how media treats Badger primaries generally though? There’s often something “goofy” or the Badger is treated as soft in a really unpalatable way. I mean, and to be fair this directly comes from the way a Snake can sort of be flummoxed with the way Badgers just do things for strangers, yes Badgers irl may be considered gentle. On an individual level, they are often the hearts and hearths of groups and homes.  But there’s this weird place where The State is supposed to be a Badger-shaped institution, so that uneasy balance comes out in weird ways.
I don’t remember who said it, but the difference with Badgers and Snakes is that, with a Snake, you start out at Zero. You’re human, but you’re not the Snake’s human, so I will treat you like a human, but there are My People above you. And with a Badger, you sort of start out at like 85-100%? At least this is my perception. Badgers need-base and that off-balances Snakes.
A Snake with a Badger in my opinion needs to be “eyes open” in a different way than even a Snake with a Bird does, because the Snake needs to understand that the Badger is going to look and act similar - until they don’t, and then the Snake needs to be able to put aside the part of them that was attracted to the mirrored morality and actually work with the Badger to figure out what the Snake needs and how the Snake can in turn support the Badger.
Anyways though, I’m writing a thing where a Badger Bird-modeling-Badger is the last woman standing, committed to fixing a broken type of organization that her Snake, Bird, and Lion companions are Tired of. Lady Badger is nothing if not resilient. I’m writing another thing where a really really Burnt Badger man gets a safe place to learn to be part of a community that is meant to be mutually protective again (he dies because this is a fan work and that’s what happened in cannon, and this is arguably because he’s still unburning at that stage and doesn’t Have a proper community, but I hope to show him having at least Some happy times because in the sh**show show he didn’t have any at all). I’ve got a slightly less developed thing where a number of Badger performing princes learn to work together to fix their kingdom and unbury the history that created it.
Aaand It’s nearing midnight, I have clearly lost the thread of the thread or whatever
Goodniiight to all my houses. Love you all even if I didn’t write about you here.

Since it’s Tuesday and we get Loki 1x05 tomorrow and then I’m seeing Black Widow the day after, and I guess I’m doing these now, some thoughts on Loki 1x04.
Hopefully this will be a shorter post due to me not knowing wtf is going on. This show is so chaotic and it’s perfect but that makes trying to predict it impossible. How VERY LOKI OF IT.
NOPE, NOPE THIS IS NOT A SHORTER POST, I have no idea what is going on plot wise but this episode gave me a lot of character stuff to talk about apparently.
Alright, let me get the big one out of the way. I’ve already said this in various places, mostly tags, but if I’m gonna make this post it’s gotta be here. I’m uncomfortable with Loki/Sylvie being romantic. Would prefer for Marvel to stay away from selfcest. PLEASE. I’m kind of hoping and wondering if it’s a fakeout for a reveal that Loki has finally learned to love or at least accept himself through his care of and admiration for Sylvie, which would be VERY Agent of Asgard-esque and I can see it being very probable.
I think giving Loki a love interest of any kind was always going to be difficult to pull off, but especially Loki as he is at the point in time when the show finds him- fresh off his attempted takeover of Earth and probably still deeply reeling from the revelation of his adoption and also likely mentally affected by any torture and/or mental manipulation Thanos might have done on him. Loki’s self-loathing is probably still close to an all-time high here and he’s questioning who he even is. I’m not saying that you have to love yourself before you can love someone else- I don’t think that at all; in fact I think loving someone else would probably encourage someone to value themselves more- but Loki as he is here I think would need to work through some of his own issues before he could get involved with anyone else. I think that Loki would need to learn to love himself first, to accept that he’s worthy of love, before he could genuinely fall in love with anyone else. (Remember this, I’ll come back to it.)
I got major sibling vibes from Loki and Sylvie on Lamentis. Like I said last post, they felt like alternate universe twins to me. They’re the same person from different universe, but also very much not the same- I feel like twins is the closest description? I can admittedly be pretty awful at picking up romantic vibes when I’m not expecting them, but I did not get romance vibes at all.
I also feel kind of annoyed that we would never be having this conversation or having this as a canonical ship option if Sylvie hadn’t been female. Loki is now officially canonically bi, (which means Sylvie is too btw) but in comics Loki is both bi and also genderfluid. Lady Loki is just Loki when Loki is identifying as female. So having Loki fall in love with a female version of himself feels both unnecessarily heteronormative and kind of...awkward in terms of 616!Loki’s genderfluidity, to put it lightly. (Note: I am not genderfluid, this is just my opinion, please prioritize actual genderfluid people’s opinions on the subject over mine.)
That said, after I finished the episode I was genuinely confused if they were actually going there and had to go look up interviews to see what the Loki team was saying about it. I found this interview with head writer Michael Waldron, also featuring quotes from director Kate Herron and from Tom Hiddleston. Relevant quotes below:
“That was one of the cruxes of my pitch [for the series], that there was going to be a love story,” head writer Michael Waldron explains to Marvel.com. “We went back and forth for a little bit about, like do we really want to have this guy fall in love with another version of himself? Is that too crazy? But in a series that, to me, is ultimately about self-love, self-reflection, and forgiving yourself, it just felt right that that would be Loki's first real love story.”
Loki reassures her that while they might lose, they don’t die — they survive. He goes on to call Sylvie “amazing” for how she almost took down the TVA on her own, and it’s clear from the look on his face that even though they’ve only been together a short while, Loki’s already come to admire and respect her. As the moon literally crumbles around them, Sylvie places a hand on Loki’s arm, and that’s when it happens: A branch on the Sacred Timeline. These two Lokis are having a moment they were never supposed to have, which as Mobius puts it, is “pure chaos.”
“The look that they share, that moment, [it started as] a blossoming friendship,” continues Waldron. “Then for the first time, they both feel that twinge of, ‘Oh, could this be something more? What is this I'm feeling?’ These are two beings of pure chaos that are the same person falling in love with one another. That's a straight-up and down branch, and exactly the sort of thing that would terrify the TVA.”
...
“Who’s a better match for Loki than himself?” director Kate Herron chimes in. “The whole show is about identity. It's about him, and he is on a very different path, and he is on a different journey. He sees things in Sylvie that he is like, ‘Oh, I've been there. I know what you feel.’ But she's like, ‘Well, I don't feel that way.’ And I think that was the kind of fun thing about it. She is him, but she's not him. They've had such different life experiences. So just from an identity perspective, it was interesting to dig into that.”
“When Loki meets Sylvie, he's inspired solely by curiosity,” reveals Hiddleston. “He wants to talk to her and understand her and try to discern what was similar about their experiences, and what was different. He keeps asking her questions because he wants to see if his experience was also her experience. I think he realizes, and she realizes, that while they're the same, they're not the same.”
Aside from the parts where Michael Waldron says “...have this guy fall in love with another version of himself...” and “the same person falling in with another version of one another,” everything they talk about in this article could be read as Loki and Sylvie caring for each other in a way that’s not necessarily romantic. Waldron even says that the series is specifically about self-love and forgiving yourself.
(Coming back to the thing from earlier about Loki needing to love himself now.) The way I’d read Loki and Sylvie’s relationship, especially from Loki’s side since we know more of his history, is that this is the first time that either of them actually cares about themselves. Because of their trust in and their love for each other, they’re each able to see themselves as a person worthy of love. I think that’s what the Nexus Event was. I think that’s why Loki and Sylvie’s moment of connection destabilized the timeline. Because Loki’s self-loathing is a deep root of his villainy, and the sacred timeline needs Loki to be a villain, two versions of Loki feeling self-worth, at the same time and place, created a HUGE nexus event. Loki even says it himself in the first episode: he doesn’t enjoy hurting people, he does it because (he feels) he has to, in a desperate play for control. He lashes out and hurts people because he thinks it’s the only way for him to have some control over things.
What Loki starts to speak to Sylvie at the end, he says, “This is new for me,” and references the nexus event on Lamentis. We never get to hear what it is that’s new for him. The episode sets it up to make us think that Loki’s about to tell Sylvie that he’s in love with her. But I think (or hope) that he was about to say something more along the lines of how the time he spent getting to know Sylvie on Lamentis helped him learn to care about himself and see his own self worth. That’s certainly a new feeling for him, since Loki seems to have always been an outsider and been looked down upon. And actually saying out loud that he’s starting to gain a sense of self worth would definitely be new for him. Loki knows that he and Sylvie will figure this out because he’s figured out the nexus event on Lamentis- that when they accept themselves and their own self worth, they can do pretty much anything.
I think it’s also worth mentioning that we never actually hear from Loki himself that he’s in love with Sylvie. We only hear it from Mobius, who’s feeling pretty betrayed by Loki and uses the entire concept to write Loki off as a huge narcissist. That way, he won’t feel as bad about Loki betraying him, or about sticking Loki in a time loop jail. Not that Loki would be the type to shout any romantic feelings to the world, especially in this situation, but the way he kept denying it didn’t seem like it was something he had to lie about.
This episode also called Loki a narcissist a lot; I assume to set up the “reveal” of his feelings for Sylvie and explain why he would fall in love with an alternate version of himself. But while Loki is many things and sure has a lot of issues, I do NOT think narcissism is one of them. When the time loops really start to get to him, he says to Sif: “I crave attention, because I’m a narcissist. And I suppose it’s because I’m scared of being alone.” But that second sentence completely contradicts the whole idea of narcissism! According to a quick google, the definition of “narcissist” is “a person who has an excessive interest in or admiration of themselves.” But Loki is the exact opposite. He has such a low opinion of himself that he acts out to get attention, because he’s so used to being overshadowed, overlooked and alone that he’s afraid that if he doesn’t do things for attention then nobody will give him any. He can be arrogant, yes, but even a lot of that stems from well-earned confidence. Loki is very talented magically and is used to being the smartest person in the room. He knows what he’s good at. But he sure isn’t attention-seeking just for its own sake. Any narcissism he’s displayed, he’s done since becoming a “villain” in Thor, and it’s actually been a mask to cover up his massive inferiority complex.
I also think it’s definitely worth mentioning that when Loki calls himself a narcissist, he’s repeating what Mobius said to him earlier. Loki clearly does care about Mobius and his opinion of him and feels bad about how things have fallen out with him. He’s also been through the time loop dozens of times now, and there’s a reason the TVA picked that memory. Because what Sif says to Loki really reflects his deepest fear. He doesn’t want to be alone, but he has such little love for himself that he might very well think he deserves to be. Loki’s emotionally exhausted at that point and just wants things to stop.
Okay. I think that covered most of my character analysis of the episode. I have some theories about Sylvie and the Time Keepers/TVA, etc, but they won’t be anywhere near as long as THAT^ was.
To start at the beginning of the episode: Sylvie’s backstory is SO SAD. I want to hug her. She spent almost her entire life on the run, growing up and living in apocalypses so the TVA wouldn’t catch her again. She didn’t deserve any of that and I’m so upset on her behalf.
Especially because as I said in another post, I think that the reason Sylvie got taken by the TVA was because she was never going to be a villain. Sylvie was kind and wanted to be heroic in the clip we see of her as a child, and she knew she was adopted. She was never going to be the Loki the TVA needed her to be for the Sacred Timeline because nothing would have ever pushed her to do what our Loki did.
The scene with Sylvie and B-15 was so good. Sylvie was kind to B-15, because her natural instinct is to be kind, and I have so many feelings about that. I love Sylvie. And then B-15 coming to the rescue to uncollar Sylvie and Loki and give Sylvie her sword was EPIC. She’s so cool.
Small aside, I got emotional seeing Asgard again in Sylvie’s flashback. I miss Asgard. :(
Also, if a kid can escape the TVA just by biting the agent holding her, the TVA have really got to step up their game. That’s kind of pathetic. Good for Sylvie though, that was very clever of her. The most juvenile yet effective tactic.
The Time Keepers being fake robots was an excellent twist, and one that I kind of saw coming as soon as they didn’t show Ravonna’s conversation with them earlier in the episode. It immediately made me feel like there were no Time Keepers at all. (And I was wondering if the no-robots rule from episode 1 would be plot relevant! I wonder if it has anything to do with the Time Keepers actually being robots?) It was also really clear that Ravonna was lying about what happened to C-20. As of now I think that Ravonna might actually be the real power behind the TVA. Or possibly a designated lieutenant to the real power behind the TVA:
When I was looking up interviews about Loki/Sylvie in this episode, I stumbled across an article about Ravonna’s comic counterpart and started kicking myself so hard for not recognizing her. In comics, Ravonna Renslayer is Kang the Conqueror’s wife. (Now, in my defense, my previous exposure to Ravonna was in Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, in which she spends most of her screentime in a coma.) For anyone who doesn’t know, Kang the Conqueror is a time traveling classic Avengers villain. His whole thing is that he time travels, and wants to take over all of time. So it’s possible that Ravonna runs the TVA to benefit Kang somehow (maybe because Kang needs a certain sequence of events to assure a future victory over the Avengers?) or even does it on his orders. Kang the Conqueror is also set to be in Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania. (Aka Antman 3.)
(I don’t know if it’s relevant, but Kang the Conqueror also happens to be the reason the Young Avengers form. The very first member, Iron Lad aka Nate Richards, is a teenage Kang who meets his future self and decides he doesn’t want to be evil, so he travels back in time to get the help of Kang’s nemeses, the Avengers. However, he lands when the Avengers have disbanded and winds up putting together a team of Avengers-affiliated teenagers instead. The team gets bigger over time and a later version of it notably includes Kid Loki. I’m not going to go off on a Young Avengers tangent here but I LOVE the Young Avengers, please read Young Avengers volume 1 by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung and all of its associated tie-ins. It’s fantastic. Unfortunately Kid Loki is only in volume 2, which gets a very solid “no thank you” from me but ymmv. Imo if you want Loki, read Agent of Asgard instead; I keep bringing it up for a reason and that’s because it’s amazing. Kid Loki is also in Journey into Mystery prior to his appearance in Young Avengers, and I haven’t read that yet but it looks very good.)
I’m VERY curious as to what the deal is behind the TVA. This could go a lot of different ways but they all seem exciting.
This show is definitely gearing up for a finale in which the TVA no longer exists or at least no longer decides everyone’s fates, which is exactly what I predicted back in episode 1.
Final thoughts on the episode: I was just wondering after Mobius was pruned if maybe the pruning sticks are actually teleporters of some kind, instead of time tasers, and then we got THAT CREDITS SCENE. I am so confused but also VERY EXCITED. I almost screamed when I saw Kid Loki. MY CHILD. I just had this thought but oh, I would kill for a Thori reference. Best murder dog. Classic Loki’s costume looks so terrible, it’s absolutely on purpose, and I love it.
THIS SHOW HAD BETTER END WITH MOBIUS GETTING A JETSKI. AND BOTH SYLVIE AND LOKI HAPPY.
I’ve been wondering since the show was announced if this show would somehow end with a version of the comics Kid Loki + AoA Loki storyline, where this Loki gets reborn into the main MCU as Kid/Teen Loki so he can join the Young Avengers, and I still don’t know how I feel about that, but with how things are going I can still see it happening.
LET EVERYONE WE LOVE BE HAPPY AT THE END MARVEL.

Hi! So I see that you’re happy to write for all IkeRev suitors which I’m so excited about!
I was wondering if I could please request headcanons for Harr and Dalim? How would they feel if their fem S/O was also a scholar at the tower, but is one of the few women there?
Thank you! 🤗
Hey!
Thank You so much for the request! You’re actually the first one to ever request something written from me so I really want to thank you for making my day! 💖🥰
Furtermore, I really tried my best to portrait Dalim and Harr as they are and I really hope I grasped Dalim’s personality even slightly correct. As for Harr, it has been some time since I played his route so I don’t remember anything other than him being a shy, adorable, protective, blushy mess. 🥺💖
I tried to do my research today during my math class at 8am so let’s just say that was ✨fun!✨
But I really hope you do enjoy these and that I did both of them and this request a justice. 💖
Lots of love and thank You once again for the request, please enjoy the following:

Dalim and Harr finding out their female s/o is a magic disciple
Fandom: Ikemen Revolution / Ikerev
Warnings: none
Spoilers: Some major spoilers for Harr’s route, I suggest you read it before you read this because his route is amazing and Harr is adorable.

Dalim
Tumblr media
Dalim and you met in his bar few months back. He was his flirty self as usual until you told him you are in a hurry and need a coffee to go before you’re late to your new job. Your dedication to your work piqued his interest, after all with your beauty you could easily have any man.
But you, Princess, decided that you don’t need saving and that you’ll work with the dragon that was watching your tower that you were supposed to be locked in.
Eventually, you gave into his courting and you two started dating. Only, he kept his secret identity as Amon’s right-hand man to himself for now and you kept yours.
You were working hard and proving yourself despite all the hardships you experienced as a woman working as a magic disciple. Not many ladies wanted to fight and work hard to earn the respect of others, but you’re strong willed and you did it.
When you finally proved to Lord Amon himself, you earned a promotion and Dalim’s interest. After all, a woman was possibly trying to take his job, becoming Amon’s left-hand woman.
The right-hand man approached you, asking you to follow him so he can show you your duties at such a high rank of duty. He took you to one of the more secret rooms and took off his hood, revealing his identity to you.
Your breath hitched in your throat as you realized it was your boyfriend Dalim, the barkeeper. How was this possible? You were trying so hard to process this new information, deep in your thought. You were glad the hood covered your eyes so he couldn’t see the panic arising in them
You were however rudely pulled back to reality when Dalim cleared his throat and soon you had seen his hand in front of you. It was a polite gesture to introduce himself, his trademark smile apparent on his lips.
You were reluctant at first, but after a few seconds you shook his hand.
“Dalim, but please feel free to call me ‘Dum’, Princess.” You didn’t answer, instead you pulled back your hood and you could see his mouth opening and closing in disbelief, surprise evident on his face.
He didn’t know what to think for a few seconds.
Magic tower wasn’t really the most honest civil agency ever and he knew how dirty things could get.
He was torn between being protective of you and making you quit before you get hurt and being supportive of you. After all you proved yourself even before Amon, earning the place of his left hand.
But one thing’s for sure.
This man has fallen even harder for you now.
Not only could he be his real self with you, but he also saw who your really were. And he must admit that he found your strong will extremely hot  appealing.
Be sure that he will always have your back when the other guys start doubting you, making sure they pay.
“Y/n?” He stared at you for a few seconds as you averted your gaze, you were scared of how he would react. What if he didn’t want you to be his girlfriend anymore because you work at the same place? Or what if he didn’t want to tell you of his other identity in this way? “But how didn’t I notice before?”
“To be honest, these hoods really do good job of hiding our faces” you tried to make this situation a bit lighter by stating facts in an arrogant way, acting like you know it all by placing one hand on your hips and rolling your eyes.
“I honestly didn’t think you could be any more attractive to me Princess.” His comment made you flustered and you focused on the floor in front of you until you felt his fingers under your chin, tilting it upwards so you were looking him in the eyes. He slowly placed a gentle, lingering kiss full of emotions on your lips.
“Your determination really is hot, I‘m proud of you” he would say with a smile on his lips and you would find yourself returning it, feeling happy that you two finally came clean to one another.
He really is proud of you. He knew all along that you were special and he is so proud to call such a hard-working lady his Princess.
Tumblr media
Harr
Tumblr media
You and Harr accidentally met one day in the Forbidden Forest when you were going on a walk and got lost, finding yourself staring at his back as he was fishing with Loki at the Lake of Tears. The two of them turned around, ready to stood their ground when they realized it was just some lost girl.
Loki first had the pleasure of meeting you as he immediately took an interest at such a cute young lady you were. But you weren’t interested in the young man that was extending his hand to you. Instead, you were pulled to the mysterious man that refused to even look you in the eye, half of his face hidden by a mask with intricate design.
So, you made sure to introduce yourself to him and try to make small talk to him, but his shyness made it seem like he was really cold to you.
Despite that, your stubbornness made you visit the Lake of Tears and Forbidden Forest more and more in the next few months.
After all, Harr had opened up to you bit by bit and you learned he was the so-called Joker that was planning on overthrowing Amon from his position as the leader of the Magic Tower.
He pushed you away in case he didn’t get back, but you knew he had feelings for you just like you had for him.
So, when he did take over Amon’s place and started making some progress, changing the Magic Tower to finally be the civil agency the Cradle deserved, you knew you wanted to be at his side to help him make his dream come true.
One day your acquaintance Dalim came to your door, telling you of how Harr has returned and how he was now in charge. He even managed to make you join them both in making this place a better place. So, you arranged to meet him in front of the tower one morning so you could start working there.
You and Dalim walked up the floating stairs, your head held high as you felt a fuzzy feeling in your chest. You were doing this for the man you love so he can help the whole country, he was a hero now and you were proud of him, being there for him very step of the way so far. It was only logical to continue giving him your full support.
He however was absent for a few days, having to go around the whole country without using his own magic so he could recover. That’s why you two haven’t seen each other for more than a week now. But still you put on the hood and started working from the lowest rank, which made other disciples there that were mostly men doubt and disrespect you. But you weren’t the one to quit and you quickly started to earn everyone’s respect when they saw your dedication and will.
Harr had meanwhile returned and he wasn’t aware of your new job. So, when you ran up to him and enveloped him in a bone crushing embrace, you could feel him stiffen under you, but you didn’t get to see how his eyes widened with pure shook and disbelief as your hood fell back from your head, revealing your face and top of your head.
In an instant heat spread across Harr’s cheek and a warm, fuzzy feeling of affection bloomed in his chest, he wrapped his arms around you only for a moment before he pulled you back to look you in the eyes.
“Surprised Harr?” a male voice echoed behind you and you turned your head only too see Dalim staring directly into eyes of man that was once his underling.
“What did you do this time Dalim?” Harr asked with a serious tone, earning a small chuckle from the barkeeper.
“I only helped your Princess settle around here and start working.”
“What? Y/n you’re a magic disciple?” Harr’s eyes widened; surprise written all over his handsome facial features.
“Yes. I wanted to help you make Magic Tower an honest civil agency and what’s better way to do that then to start working and researching magic properly?”
This wizard is really taken aback by your declaration.
He cared for you deeply and he was extremely happy that you wanted to support him in any way you can, no matter the difficulties you may occur while doing so.
He knew you were a strong woman, and you just proved it to him even more when you decided to work hard to earn your place and respect of others and prove everyone who was doubting you wrong.
He just smiled and pulled you into a tight embrace which you gladly returned. Dalim took that as a cue to leave you two lovebirds alone.
“Thank you, y/n,” he whispered as he placed a soft kiss on top of your head. “It really means a lot to me to have your support.”
His sincere voice filled with affection made your heart flutter and your legs feel like jelly.
“Of course, you will always have my support Harr” you pulled back to gaze into his grey eyes, not even paying attention to his scar. “I love you Harr.”
He got flustered a bit, but he slowly leaned in to kiss you gently on the lips and you met him halfway. “I love you too y/n,” he whispered to you as he pulled away, quickly leaning back in to kiss you again a bit harder this time, expressing all his love in it.
You can be sure that this man is supportive as heck and really proud to have such strong s/o by his side.
And he really does love you, only he just now realized that his love for apricots isn’t even nearly as strong as his love for you.

Glorious, Before the Burden - The Sanctuary ~ 5
I couldn’t help - once we finally managed to pull ourselves free from the bubble we would forever be able to create around one another and force ourselves to leave the cottage to forage for food in the village proper - glancing up at my husband’s profile looming above me.  As familiar to me as my own, but now with the sharper angles of age, wisdom, and - with the painful tug of loss that twisted inside of me that I knew he too felt deeply - grief, he also bore a hint of the unknown and strange.
“You know that I can actually FEEL it when you sneak those glances, don’t you?”  My teeth met my lower lip to hold back a peal of laughter.  “I swear, your eyes hold as much heat as your body.”
“Keep talking like that,” he tugged on our linked hands and pulled me ever closer, forcing that laugh I’d been keeping prisoner from him to escape.  “We’ll never make it to the village and we’ll starve.”  He growled, or perhaps it was a groan - both actually - and shook his head as he stole a lingering kiss that promised us both a greater treat than any sweet thing I could find in any shop on any realm.
Our first stop, since I wanted to show off my gorgeous husband and introduce him, while also finding out how Michael was - was the bookshop.  A part of me feared that the village would have been dealt heavy damage from Thanos’ Snap - that the people I’d come to grow so fond of would have been rendered gone - as gone as our, but those thoughts would do us no good.
Opening the door after taking a deep breath, Caroline saw me before I had a chance to see her - or rather she noticed Loki first.
“My but you’re a tall one,” I giggled and her eyes fell to me.  “Praise be,” she came out from behind the counter and pulled me into a crushing hug.  “Michael told us that you were fine, that you were simply away taking care of your own business, but -” she was sighing and relaxing as she held me and swayed.  “All that alien nonsense, we were lucky, but the rest of the world wasn’t -” she pulled back and her smile was tinged with sadness.  “Thank goodness you’re back and looking so well.”  Loki was standing next to me and she took note of it.  “I’m guessing that he might be a reason for that blush on your cheeks.”
“A little,” a wink and her grin grew.  “Caroline, I’d like you to meet my husband, Thomas.”  Loki held out his hand and she took it easily enough, making me think that she didn’t equate him with New York at all.  “Tom and I,” his free arm wrapped around me and pulled me close.  “Well, we’ve moved back to -”
“To forget to call your grandfather,” Michael’s voice chimed from the doorway.  “Come here,” I turned and saw him grinning with the sunlight glowing around him like a halo.  “Come give this old man a hug, Margaret.”
Pulling free of Loki and Caroline, I was wrapped up in Michael’s warmth - more familial and paternal than the parents who raised me, than He Who Remains, more even than Frigga and Odin - letting him soothe me in a way that not even my husband could after the pain and loss of our realm, people, and yes - our little one.
“Shhh,” he hushed me, while his embrace felt less restrictive and far more comforting than Caroline’s crush had, his face pressed into my hair.  “I know, I know.”  And somehow, some way, I knew he did.
We - Loki, Michael, and I - had lunch in a quiet place that I loved, which I knew from experience would allow for some discretion while we spoke.
“It’s gone?” His eyes had gone wide as we waited for our food, Loki - whom he had no issue calling Tom and didn’t actually show signs of flinching even though I knew he saw past any illusion my husband was casting - had told him about Asgard.  I couldn’t. Not when the loss of our home and people was so closely aligned to the loss of our son.
Michael sat back.  Taking in the idea that an entire realm - one of the Nine, if you only went by Asgardian legend, but he knew that there were far other planets, timelines, and on and on it went - could be erased.  Even after what he knew Thanos had done, what he had witnessed, knowing that Asgard could so easily be wiped away was something terrible and hard to process.  We could commiserate.
“Yes,” Loki nodded, pulling his hands back when our server returned with our food.  “Thank you,” he offered to the young man, and I smiled as Michael took note of his manners.  Waiting until we were alone once more, he noticed that neither of us were taking up our utensils.  “What? Have I done something improper?”
“Not at all,” I assured him, touching his hand gently.  “I think you surprised Michael with your lovely manners, darling.”  Winking at him with a grin, I turned back to my own lunch.  “Asgard is gone,” eyes on my plate, I sighed.  “And this is home to me, or it was at a very dark point.”
It was Michael’s turn to reassure me, again.  A soft touch on my hand, but I didn’t look up.  “It’s still your home, Sigyn.  Always.”  Swallowing down the pain of memory, why I’d been in this very village before, and why we were back - I waited for it to pass.  “I’m guessing this isn’t going to be a short stay?”
“No,” Loki answered for us.  “No, not a short stay.”  His fingers met my other hand, and for once I had someone on both sides offering comfort and strength.  “We plan on making this our home for the rest of our lives.  If -”
“If?” Michael’s tone was laced with curiosity and challenge.  “If what precisely?”
“If you’ll have us,” my eyes rose, finally willing to meet his again.  “I know that my husband’s past isn’t easily forgiven and that my loyalty to him isn’t easily understood -”
Michael studied me - us - for a few moments.  “I don’t know your husband,” my throat tightened painfully.  “I know you.  If you trust and love him, then I’m more than willing to give him a chance.”  The air felt like it might be coming back into the room, but he wasn’t through yet.  “However, if you go back to your former ways -” his gaze seemed to burn into Loki’s.  “I’ll not have a single issue with calling up those twats that run amok in her garden, do you understand?”
“Absolutely,” Loki agreed, and somehow our lunch continued on.
Michael insisted on taking us, and our shopping, back to the cottage.  He seemingly couldn’t get his fill of time in our company - mine, Loki corrected when we arrived home.  We restocked the pantry while showing Loki around, introducing him and refamiliarizing myself with the village and the people who had shown me so much hospitality when I lived among them before.
He came inside with us, and admitted that he’d kept my cottage from growing into disrepair while I was away - even with the aura of magic that I’d added, some cracks of age were bound to push their way through.
“Made sure I kept it aired out,” he sighed, sitting down in his spot and gladly accepting a cup of tea.  “Just in case, you know.”
“Just in case she popped back in?” Loki was teasing, light and easy, and it eased whatever lingering tension attempted to creep back in.  “We’re lucky you thought to do it,” he pulled me onto his lap, having taken my chair for his own once I brought the tea back for Michael.  “Thank you.”
Michael was back to studying us, how we interacted and how Loki - since he KNEW me- behaved around me.  “You aren’t much like you were in New York, are you?”
I waited for it - for Loki to stiffen.  For anger, or shame to rear its ugly head and for his sharp tongue to snap lash out and draw blood.  Yet it didn’t happen.  Instead he sighed, quietly, and then moved his head so that his face was closer to mine, inhaling in my scent - it seemed to give him strength.
“New York seems a lifetime ago,” voice quiet, reflective.  “I’ve tried to push it to the past, to act as if it wasn’t me at all.”  His arms, the embrace that I’d grown so used to grew a touch tighter.  “It was like a fever - and as a Frost Giant, a fever is incredibly dangerous to my thought processes.”  I listened, curious and enthralled.  Loki hadn’t truly discussed it with me, I hadn’t brought it up.  Better, I thought, to rush forward instead of pulling it apart to learn from it.  “The idea of Asgard’s throne, a throne I’m sure Sigyn told you I’d been brought up to think I had every right to, it never honestly pulled at me.  Not until -” He shifted slightly and sighed.  “We married and as I said, it became like a sickness.  The throne, ruling over our people as King in Odin’s place.”
He was right, I realized.  Loki hadn’t shown a single urge to rule until we wed, then as I started fearing that we weren't having luck at becoming parents, he started to obsess about becoming ruler.
“Thor, my brother, being chosen over me was a blow that cut me far deeper than it should have.”  I heard the pain of their reconciliation and now the loss of not being able to rekindle it in his words.  “It grew, the heat of it, the fever.  Thanos,” Michael’s eyebrows shot up on his forehead and Loki nodded.  “Yes, Thanos was the one who backed my bid for Earth’s downfall.  It was madness.  A fevered madness that I couldn’t seem to fight.  It’s not an excuse, truly it isn’t.  I’m simply telling you why I don’t seem like I did in New York.”
Michael sat on the information for a moment while I did the same.
I never considered that Loki might have been infected by something foreign, some illness, but it made sense.  Not from a standpoint that I needed to give him an excuse so I could love him - I loved him regardless.  It had never made sense to me that he had become so insistent on being King, on ruling in Odin’s place - even before the Allfather was ready to step aside - and even when he’d been jealous of Thor’s attention to me, he NEVER faltered in his affection for his brother.  The rage he’d felt when Odin chose Thor - the rage he felt when he wasn’t made ruler - it made little sense then.
And he was correct.  A fever in a Frost Giant would do horrible things to their bodies and minds.  Burning from within, the havoc would be indescribable.  It would render any chance of Frigga or me pulling him free from the clutches of madness useless.
“I think having Sigyn with you makes a difference too,” Michael broke past my puzzle breaking.  “Of course, I think she could calm the most savage among us.”
Loki chuckled and held me closer.  “On that we most certainly agree.”

You were currently sitting in the living room of Stark Towers, for once all of you were able to enjoy a free day. Things were slow and before they got to 100 miles per hour again, you all were determined to enjoy it...even The God Of Mischief.
Loki was still relatively new to your group, and only you and Thor seemed to be able to get along with him. You didn’t know what it was, but when it came to Loki you just couldn’t help yourself.
Maybe it was the beautiful contrast between his pale skin and raven hair, or the way his intense blue eyes seemed to stare into your soul. It could be that infamous smirk of his, and how good it felt to be the cause of it.
Whatever it was, you had it bad. It wasn’t that you were inexperienced, but rather just shy...and the man was a god. You were just a mere mortal who happened to be able kick ass, but you didn’t have any special powers.
These types of thoughts stopped you from letting your feelings be known, but that didn’t mean your friends remained in the dark about them. Everyone seemed to pick up on them, even Thor himself.
Thor had become an extremely close friend to you, and you embraced each other's positivity and good heartedness. Whenever he saw the affect his brother had over you he would just laugh, “ I don’t understand you mortals, why do you hide your feelings?”.
You would just roll your eyes, “ Easier said than done coming from a literal god...I’m just me..”. His mood would shift when he heard you talk badly about yourself, it saddened him. He wished so badly for you to see yourself the way others saw you..the way his brother saw you.
Trust and friendship did not come easily to Loki, but they came easily with you. That was a miracle in itself, and Thor hated that you couldn’t realize it. Thor would turn to face you, always making sure you looked into his eyes for this was a serious matter.
He’d place a hand on your shoulder, “ A title like that means nothing, it is your actions that define you nothing else. Your actions make you a remarkable woman (y/n), it is a great misfortune that you cannot see that...at least my brother does”.
With that he would leave you alone with your thoughts, refusing to meddle any further. Thor loved you deeply, and he knew how lucky he was to have a friend like you.
Knowing that someone like you cared for his brother filled him with immense joy, if only you would act on your feelings. Despite what Thor told you, it was hard to see yourself how he saw you.
Currently you were in the kitchen talking with Steve and Bucky while the rest of the group hung out in the living room. Both the boys were arguing over who could make the best grilled cheese.
Bucky claiming that Steve “might’ve been frozen too long because his memory is damn wrong”. You sat there on one of the countertops, enjoying the bickering and teasing. Steve rolled his eyes, but laughed at Bucky’s comment.
He pointed the spatula at him, “ You and I both know I make the best grilled cheese in all of Brooklyn, Buck”. God they could argue over anything, but it was always lighthearted topics.
Things like, “ Who rode the Thunderbolt longest at Coney Island as kids” or even, “Who knew episodes of The Lone Ranger better”. You were just thankful that there was never any real fights between them.
Bucky was already getting the cheese and butter out of the fridge, “ Maybe that’s what you tell yourself to sleep at night…”. You laughed loudly at that, he was getting so into this. Steve grabbed the bread and pans, placing them next to the stove.
Suddenly both men turned to you, and you already knew what they were going to ask. Bucky spoke up first, “Why don’t we have our little (y/n) here be the judge!”. In hopes to get you on his side he finished his sentence with a wink.
Steve rolled his eyes, “ You’re barking up the wrong tree Buck, we both know who (y/n) has her eyes on”. You watched the smirk form upon Bucky’s lips, remembering your apparent crush for a certain Asgardian.
Trying to keep your cool you said, “ Right now I’d rather have my eyes on the best grilled cheese in all of New York, if either of you fools can make it”. They both pretended to be hurt by your comment, but the smirk only left Bucky’s face for a moment.
He raised an eyebrow, “ So what does it for you? The dark hair...the accent...his huge-”. Steve slapped Bucky behind the head, stopping his friend while he was ahead.
Bucky put his hands up defensively, “ I was going to say scepter, Captain Dirtymind”. Once again you found yourself laughing, you were lucky to have the friends you did. As if on cue Loki walked into the kitchen, maybe he was the god of bad timing.
Based off of the knowing glances both super soldiers were giving you, you were already blushing before Loki even said anything. He walked over to you with a book in his hand, “ Hello love, hungry are we?”.
You stood there for a moment without saying anything, your mind automatically drifting to more dirtier places. The sound of Bucky holding back a giggle behind you brought you back.
Smiling you said, “ I was going to see which one of these idiots could make the better grilled cheese”. You turned around briefly shooting daggers at both men, while they stood there smirking.
Since you were turned around you couldn’t see the smirk plastered across Loki’s face. He knew full well the innuendo he’d just said, and he knew why Bucky was laughing.
Loki questionably repeated the word, “ Grilled cheese?”. And you smiled realizing he had no idea what that meant. Steve spoke up, “ It’s a type of food here, that I just so happen to be the best at making”. For affect he turned to Bucky, a smug look plastered across his face.
You were eager to change topics, “ How’s the book coming along, do you like it?”. Loki shared your love of reading, and you’d actually got him to start reading one of your favorite books.
You’d given him your personal copy of, “ Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut” will all your favorite quotes underlined. He smiled, “ American authors write quite differently than Asgardians, I’m afraid most references go over my head”.
He watched that beautiful smile of yours fade away, and realized what he said might’ve come across wrong. Quickly he added, “ Would you mind explaining some of it too me love?”. Watching your smile form again made him just as happy, although he kept that to himself.
You got so excited, “ Are you sure?! I don’t want to bore you and-”. Loki laughed lightly knowing that was something you could never do. Holding your gaze he said, “ I find your passion for things quite intriguing darling”.
His words sent shivers down your spine, especially when he called you things like “love” or “darling”. Smiling you asked, “Usual place and usual time or for once will you actually get some sleep?”.
Loki laughed at your little joke, a smile forming upon his own lips. Before turning to exit the kitchen he said, “ I was thinking my room would be better, that way I can finally share one of my favorites with you”.
You nodded your head, way too excited for words to form. Once again he smirked, the effect he had over you was so thrilling for him. With that, he was gone, off to wander the halls until you’d find him later.
As you turned around you saw both Steve and Bucky smirking again. Steve smiled, “Usual place..usual time?”. You mentally slapped yourself for letting them hear that.
Bucky raised his eyebrows suggestively, “ Oh no Steve, he wants to show her something in his room maybe his-”. Once again Steve slapped Bucky behind the head, not wanting this teasing to make you feel too uncomfortable.
Bucky nodded his head, “Okay that time I wasn’t going to say scepter”. This caused you and Steve to crack up laughing. Steve’s expression softened, “I think he really cares for you (y/n) I mean have you ever seen him be that inviting with any of us?”.
Steve had a valid point, it did take a lot for Loki to open up. Thinking out loud you said, “Maybe Thor is right…”. Both men looked to each other, and then back at you. Bucky’s eyes widened, “ Doll don’t tell me HIS OWN BROTHER said he had feelings for you!!”.
You hushed Bucky, not wanting the rest of the group to hear what you’d been talking about. Steve spoke up, “If Thor said something to you (y/n) then it has to be true..he knows his brother better than anyone”.
You started to blush finding yourself finally seeing the truth in Thor’s words. Looking up you said, “Okay maybe Thor has mentioned it a couple times but-”. Bucky’s jaw dropped, and Steve was just as shocked.
Bucky looked at you, “ But what?! Please don’t tell me it’s what I think it is..”. You avoided his gaze, letting him know what he was thinking was right. Steve knew what it was too, “You have no reason to be insecure (y/n), you’re one of the most incredible women I know”.
Bucky walked over to you, taking your hand in his. He made you do a spin, “ You’re a bombshell doll, start to believe it”. Once again you found yourself smiling and thanking the universe for putting these people into your life.
Steve added, “ We love you and we wouldn’t lie to you, you have NO reason to be the slightest bit insecure...you don’t realize the way he looks at you”. You were confused, and raised an eyebrow.
Bucky rolled his eyes, “ Doll the way he smirks at you is sinful, I only know because I’ve been known to give a couple special women that look myself”. Rolling your eyes you ignored the second part of his comment.
He continued, “ I know desire (y/n), and it’s in his eyes everytime he looks at you”. This many of your closest friends wouldn’t give you false confidence, so what they were saying had to be true.
Smiling you said, “ I love you guys, and I promise I’ll judge your contest later, I have to go get ready”. Bucky cheered while Steve stood there with a look of happiness all over his face. Finally his best friend was going to get the love she deserved.
You quickly left the room which meant you couldn’t see the stares the rest of the room had given Bucky from his cheering. Clint casually said, “ Is (y/n) finally going to make a move on Horns?”.
Bucky nodded his head to which Nat responded with, “ Finally...by the way Stark you owe me $20”. Tony grumbled but handed Natasha the money, causing the room to look at her confusingly.
She smirked, “ What? Tony said it would take (y/n) another month, and I guessed it would be by the end of this week”.  Steve gave Nat his best, disappointed dad” look.
Sam grinned, “ Look the money was going towards a good cause, and Barnes you owe me $15”. Steve looked to his best friend, who pulled out the money from his pocket. Shocked Steve asked, “ You too?”.
Bucky shrugged his shoulders, “ Hey at the end of the day (y/n)’s the one getting laid, so who cares”. Steve pinched the bridge of his nose, god his friends were idiots...but their good intentions made up for it.
After the kitchen you went directly to your room, wanting to quickly get ready to meet with Loki later. You weren’t going crazy, not even wearing makeup, but you did wanna freshen up.
Before you’d shower you wanted to pick out your clothes for meeting him. You knew green was his favorite color, and man did you have a surprise for him. Nat had insisted you’d buy this dark green bra and panty set.
It was a mixture of green lace patterns and see through mesh. The underwear were high-waisted, but the see through mesh showed a lot of skin tastefully. It showed off your curves beautifully.
You decided that for clothes you would go the simple route. A pair of leggings and a white off the shoulder top, simple but beautiful. You wore your favorite necklace, it had been a gift from Steve.
Surprisingly it was a gold choker with about five stars that dangeled. You loved that he had taken the time to pick it out, giving you proof that chivalry wasn’t dead. Of course feetwise you’d only be wearing a pair of your favorite fuzzy socks.
Loki always found them amusing from the first night he saw you wandering the halls wearing them. You’d had a cup of tea in one hand, and a book in the other. Your hair had been tied up, but strands still covered your face.
He loved how disheveled you look, truth be told his mind drifted immediately. When you noticed him you smiled, “ Can’t sleep either?”.
Loki never forgot how you weren’t scared of him, or cold, like everyone else had been. You were kind and inviting, something he wasn’t used to. Smiling he answered, “ I’m afraid I never get much sleep love”.
Raising a brow you asked, “ Why is that?”. You seemed so concerned for him, something else he hadn’t expected. Walking closer to you he pointed to his head, “ Nightmares, strange how no bit of magic can seem to cure them”.
You stepped closer to him as well, “ Well I’m guessing wandering around alone at night doesn’t help...I always need to be with someone when I get them”. His expression softened, was this an offer?
You added, “ Buck’s the same way...total cuddler...but don’t let him know I told you he’d kill me”. Loki laughed softly, you were already so trusting. He said, “ Well that must make you a good lover”.
You snorted...lover that was a hilarious idea. He looked confused so you explained, “Bucky’s one of my best friends..I love him but not like that”. As you spoke you found yourself walking closer to him.
He raised an eyebrow, “Are there that many types of love for you Midgardians?”. That was when you remembered how tough Loki’s life had been, you doubted he knew any type of love.
Smiling you said, “If you’re one of us there is...and you seem to be working on it”. As he listened to you a smile formed upon his lips. Talking to you was like a breath of fresh air.
You added, “ If you ever want to wander the halls together I wouldn’t mind”. You never understood how you were so daring, but maybe it had to do with the fact that it was the middle of the night.
Loki smiled again, “ I’ll have to take you up on that offer, but I can tell that tonight you desire sleep”. You were extremely tired, and talking to him had calmed your nerves. With a glimmer in your eyes you responded with, “ You better be serious Loki”.
He laughed lightly, “ I shall come find you tomorrow night love, I promise”. To some a promise from the God of Mischief probably meant nothing, but you trusted him. Smirking you said, “ And if you break it I’m afraid you’ll be too dead for sleep anyways”.
You parted your separate ways, but not before seeing a smirk form upon his lips. Loki thought to himself, “ Oh this one shall be fun”. That was the start of whatever was currently happening between you both.
After laying out your clothes you jumped into the shower. The warm water felt wonderful on your skin, calming any nerves you had. You lathered yourself up with your favorite body wash; a mixture of lavender and lilac.
You made sure that every part of your body was freshly shaven and soft. Your hair looked extremely silky and smelt heavenly. This all made you feel extremely beautiful.
By the time you were actually ready an over hour had passed. As you looked at yourself in the mirror you smiled, being you was good enough. For once, you confidently made your way towards Loki’s room.
So many thoughts filled your head that you’d become distracted. While turning the corner you knocked into a very strong body, as you looked up you realized it was Thor. With ease he lifted you up, “ Sorry (y/n), you seem quite distracted though..”.
He took in your appearance and smiled when he noticed your socks. Smirking he asked, “Going to find my brother are you?”. You blushed wondering how he’d known, what could’ve given it away?
With a hearty laugh he explained, “My brother had mentioned his love for your...fuzzy socks?”. Looking down at your feet you smiled, and Thor realized he had gotten the work right. He added, “ Steve also told me of your encounter earlier in the kitchen”.
Looking up at Thor you smiled, “Loki said he wanted to share one of his favorite books with me”. Thor’s smile only grew, that was a big thing for his brother. Quickly you added, “I finally trust what you’ve been telling me Thor..that he cares for me”.
His eyes lit up when he realized what you’d said. Taking your hand in his he said, “ It warms me to know that you finally see your true self”. You hugged Thor, and smiled when he wrapped his arms around you.
Softly you said, “ Thank you for not giving up on me”. Thor only hugged you tighter, wanting his love to be known. When he let you go he said one last thing, “Thank you for not giving up on my brother”.
You continued to make your way towards Loki’s room, your heart now filled with love. You knocked on the door to which Loki said, “ Come in love”. Loki’s room was not what you’d thought it would be.
It was extremely simple, the more extravagant things being his extensive bookshelf, and overlook of the city. Instantly you walked over to the huge window, staring out into the night.
You would’ve forgotten where you were had he not come up behind you, “ Beautiful isn’t it?”. As you turned your head you realized he was standing directly next to you, shoulders touching.
He continued, “ I didn’t expect to find it so enchanting, but there’s so much more complexity here than Asgard”. You’d never been to Asgard, but from what Thor had told you it seemed beautiful.
Reading your mind he said, “Asgard is beautiful, but Midgard is so free..people aren’t just confined to one single planet”. You’d never thought of it like that, the only people to travel in Asgard had to be high authority.
Turning to him you said, “ I guess my escape is reading, which I’m guessing you share”. As he looked at you, he smiled again. He walked over to his bookshelf, “ When I was confined to my cell reading kept me sane...as sane as I could be”.
You followed him, “ I can’t imagine the toll that must’ve had on you Loki..”. No one had ever had that reaction, no one had ever considered his burdens. His fingers skimmed the books before finding the one he wanted.
Still not facing you he said, “ The price to pay for the crimes I’ve committed I assume”. When he finally turned around to look at you, immediately you saw the hurt in his eyes.
Walking closer to him you said, “ To live your entire life feeling like there was this part of you that made you not belong is an awful thing to go through”. His lips parted, but no words came out.
You continued, “Not to overstep my boundaries, but I don’t agree with a lot of things the All-father has done. He should’ve never hid the truth from you, or pin you against Thor, it shouldn’t be the case that only one can rule...but despite all this Loki I don’t think you’ve become an awful person”.
He thought he might drop the book he’d been holding, no one had ever spoken to him like this. It was like you were reading his thoughts, looking at what hurt him the most.
For once Loki struggled to find words, “ I didn’t think anyone could look past the awful things I’ve done”. Without even realizing he’d been walking towards you.
Holding his gaze you said, “You’ve made mistakes, but that doesn’t mean you should be condemned for them...people can always grow”. You shared such a unique perspective on life, and he now saw why Thor liked you so much.
Laughing softly he said, “If only others shared the same outlook that you do...the world would be different”. By now you were only a foot or so from each other, the closest you’d ever been.
Loki noticed you biting your lip, “ What is troubling you (y/n)?”. You had heard that Loki had a true form and you often wondered what it looked like. You didn’t want to make him uncomfortable.
Taking a step closer to him you asked, “I don’t want to make you uncomfortable Loki, but I’ve often wondered what your true form looks like..if you don’t want to show me I won’t be hurt”.
From everything you’d been through, he trusted you. He took your hands in his, their coolness refreshing. Loki softly said, “ Close your eyes love”. No matter how much he trusted you, he was scared you wouldn’t like his true form.
A moment later he asked you to open your eyes, and you were mesmerized. His skin was a beautiful dark blue with light blue patterns all over it, his eyes a deep shade of red.
Instinctually you started to trace the pattern on his neck, and blushed when you realized what you’d done. Blushing you said, “I’m sorry..it’s just...your skin is so beautiful..”. His jaw dropped, beautiful?
Raising an eyebrow he asked, “ You don’t find me frightening?”.  You couldn’t help but giggle, how could he be frightening? Smiling you said, “ Loki that’s the last thing I’d ever think of you”.
You watched him process your words, seeing him smile when he finally trusted them. You added, “ If you felt comfortable enough you could remain in your true form every time you’re around me”.
His smile grew, “You are the most beautiful woman I have ever known (y/n)”. Holding his gaze was too much, so you turned your head to the side. He placed two fingers under your chin, turning you head to him.
Now that you held his gaze he said, “I care deeply for you (y/n) and now I know you feel the same”. You wanted to faint, he admitted his feelings for you. You no longer felt nervous, you were ready.
Placing a hand on his chest you said, “ I love you Loki, for who you are”. He moved his hands to rest on your hips, bringing your body closer to his. Leaning forward he kissed you passionately, his grip on your hips pressing your body into his.
You eased into the kiss, moving on hand to grip his hair on the back of his neck. Just as soon as it had started Loki stopped it, “ I didn’t mean to be so forward love...I just-”.
Smirking you asked, “ I thought the god of Mischief always took what he wanted”. You watched his lips shift into a smirk, and there was a different look in his eyes.
Loki looked at you like you a predator looks at prey, and it made you core ache. His voice was low, “Are you teasing me my pet?”. The way his words rolled off his tongue made you want to moan.
He began to kiss slowly up your neck, taking his time. Loki wanted to leave his mark on you, let the world know he loved you and you were his. He began to nibble on the area below your ear, “I do love you (y/n)”.
Loki began to kiss back down your neck, “ I love the way your breath hitches when I find the slightest ways to touch you..the way your eyes seem to beg me to claim you as mine..is that what you want darling?”.
By now Loki had picked you up, carrying you to his bed. He laid you on your back, and hovered over you by propping himself up with his elbow.
Loki helped you take off your shirt, “Do you want everyone to know that you are mine? That those pretty noises coming out from your lips are my doing?”. You were already so needy, and he had barely been touching you.
When Loki noticed what you’d been wearing under your clothes he groaned loudly, licking his lips. His smirk was sinful, “You shall be the death of me love”. You sat there, anticipation stopping you from saying anything else.
Loki snapped his fingers, “ Normally I’d love to rip your clothes off of you, but I’m afraid you’ve made me very impatient”. Not only were you left in your undergarments, but Loki was now only left in his.
The light blue patterns continued all over his chest and legs, and you were mesmerized. Bringing a hand to his chest you traced the patterns once again, and for a moment love replaced the lust in his eyes.
Loki couldn’t contain himself anymore, he picked you up once again making you straddle him. His back pressed against the headboard, and his hands on your hips. Looking down at him you said, “I think I can work with impatience”.
Once again he brought his lips to yours, kissing you fervorously. You couldn’t help but grind yourself against him, causing him to moan throughout the kiss.
Loki moved his hands to undo your bra, letting it fall slowly off your body. Without hesitation he brought his mouth to suck on one breast, his hand massaging the other.
He teased your sensitive nipples by dragging them lightly between his teeth, and then flicking them with his tongue. Moaning you begged, “ Loki please I need more”.
He moved his free hand down to tease your clit through the fabric of your panties, his cold fingers an amazing contrast to the heat of your area. Loki moaned realizing how wet you were, “These are soaked darling, such a good little girl”.
You began to grind yourself against his fingers, needing any sort of friction. Loki laughed softly, “So needy for me”. With a snap of his fingers nothing separated your bodies anymore.
He teased you further by rubbing circles around your clit, his cold fingers sending shivers down your spine. Moaning loudly you said, “That feels...so..good”.
Had your eyes not been closed you would’ve seen his smirk, “ Perks of being a Frost Giant darling”. The coldness seemed to tease you more, and you’d never felt anything like it.
It made you so needy, “ Please Loki I-”. He stopped what he was doing with his hand, and you finally felt his hard member pressing against you.
Loki smirked when he saw you taking in his size, “That’s just a perk of being me love”. So Bucky was right...he did have a huge...scepter. Everything about the man was amazing.
You brought your hand down to slowly pump him, “ What happened to impatience love”. Loki smiled hearing you tease him, mocking his tone.
You moved your body down, your face inches from his member. No sly comment left his lips, he needed you just as badly as you needed him. Slowly you licked up his member, watching his pupils dilate.
When you got to his tip you flicked your tongue over it causing his breath to hitch. Finally you took him into your mouth, taking as much as you could. Loki moaned loudly feeling himself hit the back of your throat.
To his dismay you changed positions. Now you moved your mouth to lick the underneath of his balls, knowing that it was a very sensitive area. Loki moaned, his eyes rolling into the back of his head.
It was your turn to smirk sinfully, and it felt good. You moved to take him into your mouth again but Loki pulled your body up. His voice was needy, “If you do that again this will be over before it has begun”.
With one hand Loki slowly pressed himself up and down your slit, “And it’s much more pleasurable this way”. His eyes seemed to search yours for any remaining doubts, he didn’t want to rush you.
You took his face in both your hands, “Loki I am yours”. That was all he needed to hear, slowly he inserted himself inside of you. Your walls stretched around him, causing you both to moan.
You started to bounce up and down, loving the feeling of him going in and out of you. Loki moved his hands to your hips again, guiding you. He moved you forward and backward, riding him.
In between thrusts he said, “You look so beautiful like this (y/n)”. With your hands holding onto his shoulders you leaned forward, letting him go deeper inside of you. With each thrust he was hitting your g-spot.
This angel gave him the perfect opportunity to suck your breasts again, giving you even more pleasure. The chill of his mouth against your hot skin made your pleasure only intensify.
Together your bodies moved as one, needing each other badly. This was all becoming too much, “Loki I’m so close”. You felt yourself right on the edge.
Loki was panting, “Tell me whose you are love”. You didn’t know if you could even speak right now, you only seemed to be able to moan. Picking up the pace Loki repeated himself, “Let everyone know who’s making you feel this good”.
Loudly you screamed, “Loki...you are Loki...fuck”. Somehow he went even deeper and faster, and you knew you couldn’t hold back. Loki nearly growled, “Cum for me (y/n) cum for me right now”.
His words pushed you over the edge, your orgasm now washing over you. It felt like a tsunami that started at your core and caused wave after wave of pleasure to crash throughout your body.
All you could do was moan his name, you were screaming it out. As Loki felt your walls clench around him, he was pushed over the edge. He’d never felt anything like this before, it was so intense.
Loki came just as hard, yelling out your name. Together you rode out your orgasms, wanting this feeling to last forever. Neither of you had felt something this good.
When Loki finally opened his eyes and saw how disheveled you looked he found his heart swelling with love again. Looking deeply into your eyes he said, “I love you so deeply (y/n) and as long as I live you shall be mine and I yours”.
This time when you brought your lips to his the kiss was slow, as if you both wanted to remember this moment forever. You felt him smile against your lips, and you laughed softly.
You rested on top of his chest as he asked, “What is so amusing darling?”. You looked up into his eyes again, he was still in his true form. Smiling you said, “ I just can’t believe how lucky I am to have you Loki”.
He kissed your forehead softly, “And I the same”. For once Loki felt at peace enough to finally get some rest, the rise and fall of your chest calming him.
He closed his eyes, shocked when only good thoughts crossed his mind. Although magic couldn’t fix his nightmares, maybe your love had been the answer. Loki fell fast asleep, not questioning it further.

A Brothers Love
Thor awoke to dainty hands weaving through his recently shortened hair; he could feel a firm softness beneath his head not quite as soft as a pillow; however not wholly unfamiliar. Thor could feel the heat emanating from beneath him, the warmth surprisingly comforting.
Thor kept his breathing even; his eyes shut feigning sleep to give himself a moment to recollect his thoughts and assess where he is.
The fingers running soothingly through his golden hair felt familiar the ghost of a touch he'd long since forgotten. The intimate way in which the fingers weaved through his hair, bringing distant memories to his mind. He could see flashes of memories, his head pillowed in his brother's lap as he tended to wounds acquired amid various battles.  He could feel the phantom touch of Loki's agile fingers gliding through his hair.
Thor inhaled deeply as blunt nails were dragged across his scalp, his senses enveloped by a sweet natural scent, a natural scent that could belong to no one other than Loki. Thor had spent millennia drowning in that scent, memorising each individual note that made up Loki's scent. In truth, there was no scent in the nine realms that could elicit such a response from Thor. Gulping in lungfuls of Lokis scent, Thor's muscles relaxed, his head burrowing deeper into what Thor could only assume were Loki's supple thighs.
"Loki" Thor whispered reverently, blinking his eyes open a sleepy smile on his face. Through hazy eyes, Thor saw Loki's shock filled emerald green eyes shining back at him. It was a rare sight, Loki without his calmly detached demeanour. Thor couldn't bite back the chuckle threatening to pass his lips as he took in Loki's unguarded expression. "You're here." Thor smiled lazily up at him once his chuckles subsided.
"Of course I'm here you oaf." Loki's harsh remark contradicted the gentle way in which his hands traced his multiple wounds. "You are brainless Thor." Thor stared up at Loki affronted by the insult. He attempted to manoeuvre his massive body into an upright position; however, Loki's lithe body was quicker a small hand pressing to his chest. "You must rest brother" Loki stated calmly, applying minimal force to push Thor back down into the warm cradle of his Thighs. In truth, Thor often missed the gentle way Loki had cared for him before the truth of his heritage had torn them apart.
Loki extracted his hand once Thor fell back against him, Thor immediately began to miss the soft skin of Loki's hand against his warm flesh. Countless years had passed since Loki had last touched him in such a way, Thor had missed the gentle caress of his brother. Years of hatred and betrayal, unable to eradicate the longing he felt for his brother. "Why are you here, Loki?" Thor asked the rare feeling of defeat coursing through him. Thor could do no more than stare at his brother, the gentle handling merely a distant memory to Thor after the many years of violence between them.
"Do you not wish me to be?" Loki asked the wet splash of a washcloth as Loki saturated it with water the only sound to break up the tense silence settling between the brothers.
"I do not appreciate your deflection brother" Thor growled his patience was wearing thin as he fought the urge to melt into his brothers comforting touch.
"When do you ever" Loki stated with a cold indifference that Thor had long since learnt was Loki's way of masking pain. His brother was a complex man, often hiding true feeling behind masks of detachment. Many thought Loki to be emotionless, but Thor knew in truth Loki felt more than most. Thor could remember holding Loki as he sobbed with sorrow, none other then Thor knew the damage their parents secret had caused Loki.
Loki had always been mischievous; he was a trickster by nature; however, he had never been malicious. Had you asked Thor many years ago if his brother were capable of harming another Thor would've profusely denied it. For years Thor watched as Loki struggled with confidence issues, often sobbing against Thor's chest late at night unable to understand why he did not look like other Asgardians. Loki may have been just as strong as any Asgardian warrior, but he lacked the muscle mass.
Loki was all sharp edges and elegant movements as opposed to the brutishness of an Asgardian. Thor found Loki's appearance mesmerising from a young age; he had watched Loki train on multiple occasions, entranced by his brother's sleek appearance. His sharp edges and beautiful curves, the way his daggers appeared as merely an extension of himself Thor had never seen such beauty and looking up at his brother now aged many years since they were boys Thor was still yet to find a beauty that could compare to Loki.
"Thor?" Loki called his brow furrowed with concern as Thor broke from his thoughts. Loki's soft palm cradling his cheek, his gentle breaths fanning over his flushed face as Loki's assessing gaze flickered over his face worriedly.
"Do not worry yourself, brother; I was merely lost in thought." Thor bit back a smile as Loki hummed his face shuttering against any discernable emotions as he continued to tend to Thor's wounds.  "May I sit, brother?" Thor asked wishing to avoid being the centre of Lokis ire. Loki observed him trying to ascertain the reason why Thor was so cordial, Loki nodded his ascent gentle hands assisting Thor as he moved to sit before Loki.
Thor gripped one of Lokis smaller hands in his own as Loki moved to pull away. Loki's mouth opened in a silent gasp, shock and fear marring his features. "Release me Thor" Loki spoke his voice uncertain and tinged with nerves. Loki was capable of pulling from Thor's grip they both knew if Loki did not want to be held, then Thor wouldn't stand a chance of forcing the contact.
"I wish to speak with you Loki, not as an enemy but as your brother."
Loki laughed hollowly "but we are not truly brothers Thor" Loki argued in protest, Loki had never been one for open communication too quick to anger for any meaningful conversation to be achieved.
"Do not lie to me Loki, we may not be bonded by blood, but you care for me as you used to, your affection for me is not as lost to you as you may claim." Thor bit back unwilling to let Loki leave without allowing him a chance to speak of what has occurred between them for many years. Thor knew he was partly to blame for the hurt festering inside Loki, just as their parents were, however, Thor was now the only one that remained.
"What is it you wish of me, Thor?" Loki asked tiredly; Thor pulled on Loki's hand the younger man tumbling ungracefully down into his lap from his unbalanced position on his knees. "You brute!" Loki exclaimed flustered, his hair falling messily around his face, his cheeks flushed a delectable pink, and his mouth pursed unhappily.
"All I wish for is honesty Loki; I know you have been hurt by our parents and by me. I do not wish to quarrel with you brother; I wish to make amends." Loki huffed, pulling himself up to straddle Thor's thick thighs. Thor wrapped his muscular arms around Loki's delicate waist, acting on muscle memory alone.
In the past, Loki, on many occasions, would seat himself in Thor's lap his long legs wrapping around Thor's waist, they would spend countless hours conversing as Thor held Loki in his arms. They would hold each other from dusk till dawn given half a chance.
"You want honest then I will be honest if you are. Why do you hold me in such a way when we are no longer the boys we once were?" Loki asks an edge to his voice Thor is unfamiliar with.
"You are my brother Loki I will always hold you in such a way" Thor responded, it was the truth not entirely but enough that Loki would sense no lie in his words. Thor met Loki's vibrant green eyes his heart aching as he struggled not to reminisce, times long since passed. Days spent with Loki bathed in the golden sunlight sprawled across Thor unashamedly as he basked in the sun. Thor struggled to push the thoughts of the many ways in which he'd held Loki over the years, lest his brother sees straight to his soul. Loki had always possessed a strange affinity for reading people; however, he had never divulged how he learnt the ability.
Thor could feel the familiar tingle of Loki's seidr as his eyes locked with Thor's. The way Loki appeared to see straight through the half-truth Thor supplied, chilling Thor to his core for if Loki was able to see the truth long since buried there may be no hope of salvaging their already tumultuous relationship.
"What are you hiding brother?" Loki asked, gripping Thor's cheeks in his hands, his hands no longer as gentle or loving as they had been previously. "I can feel it, Thor, you know I can so why lie? Is the truth so bad you the golden son, the mighty Thor must lie to me?" Loki rears back extricating himself from where his body melded with Thors, instead choosing to stand before him.
Thor stood too, not wishing to be looked down on by Loki, the thought unsettling him. He towered above his brother, Loki eyeing him with suspicion. Thor was not one to lie; it was common knowledge amongst the people of Asgard that Thor detested lies and therefore he could not blame Loki for his suspicion however Thor believed in this scenario the truth was worse than the lie.
"Loki please" Thor pleaded with his brother for the younger man to drop his line of questioning, after all, if he told Loki the reason for the lie his brother would know the truth before the words could leave his lips.
Loki leaned against the wall feigning indifference, the long lines of his body elongated by his stance, the way his back arched against the colourful metal of the wall, his hair longer than in years past cascading over his shoulders framing his delicate face. Thor drank in the sight greedily for it was not often enough; he was allowed the chance to marvel over the vision that was his brother. Thor watched as a Loki's sinful mouth turned up into a wicked smirk, one that unfortunately Thor was intimately familiar with.
Loki made precise steps towards Thor as if he were a predator stalking its prey. His long legs were gliding swiftly across the space between them; every oncoming step Loki took forcing Thor to shuffle back. The God Of Thunder felt small beneath his brother's intense gaze and the predatory way he encroached on Thor's space. "Loki," Thor said warningly.
"What's wrong brother, you did not quarrel with the lack of space between us mere moments ago? I would go as far as to say you enjoyed it." Loki purred his eyes glimmering with mirth.
"Loki, brother" Thor pleaded urging his brother to step away, his self-control already frayed. The many moments spent laid beneath Loki as he cared for him, the way Loki had fit seamlessly in his lap as though an extension of Thor himself. Thor was unused to spending long periods of time alone in his brother company; this fact alone seems to work against his once well-honed self-control.
"You want me closer don't you brother; you want to feel me curled up against you, I can see it." Loki teased his voice an octave lower then it was previously. His words were dripping from his lips like honey.
"Loki, enough" Thor growled gripping Loki's shoulders firmly, twisting them around until Loki's back collided roughly with the wall, the sound of the collision resonating through the room.
"Fuck" Loki groaned his head dropping as he sucked in a startled breath. Loki's breath came in harsh pants for a few moments as he fought against the pain burning through his body. Thor's firm grip on his shoulders the only thing grounding him, keeping him from losing himself to the pain.
"Fuck, Lo I'm sorry I didn't mean to be so violent, oh gods I am sorry brother." Thor apologised frantically as he began gently pushing Loki's long black strands away from his flushed face, tucking them delicately behind his ear.
"I think I struck a chord brother." Loki wheezed out a laugh his breathing, still not as either brother would like it to be.
"For once in your life Loki, please just leave it alone," Thor begged, resting his forehead to his brothers, his eyes glistening with unshed tears, the furrow of his brow and the stiff tension held in his shoulders belying his guilt for the rough way in which he had handled Loki.
"You called me Lo" Loki looked into Thor's wet eyes, Thor could still recall the last time he had uttered the nickname. They had finished a particularly severe training session Thor's anger getting the best of him as was expected when they were younger. Thor had found Loki in their shared bathing room to apologise. However, the sight of Loki spread out his exposed body glittering beneath the golden flicker of the lit torches as the water rippled over his naked flesh with every rise and fall of his chest. Even now Thor's mouth dried over the thought. He could still remember as the nickname had tumbled from his lips barely more than a breathy gasp.  The way Loki's eyes bore into his, Loki's eyes swimming with confusion as Thor eyed him hungrily. Thor fled swiftly and could never bring himself to call Loki by his nickname, the sight still seared into his retinas over the years the sight had fuelled many sinful fantasies each time the name fell from his lips as effortlessly as it had that day.
"Yeah, I did," Thor whispered gently into the meagre space, separating them his eyes softening as he could see in Loki's eyes he too was remembering the last time he'd heard the name.
"I was too young to understand it then, but I think I do now."
Thor growled warningly at Loki, not willing to have this conversation Loki was one of the smartest people Thor knew and he had no doubt figured out why Thor was behaving so aggressively. The truth was Thor couldn't accept his desires, Loki may not be his brother by blood, but in Thor's mind, Loki was still his brother.
Loki huffed as Thor's grip tightened, "let go, brother, let us talk in a more civilised manner."  Loki reasoned one of his smaller hands settling atop Thor's.
"Damn it, Loki! What is there to talk about, you are my brother; you will always be my brother. We were raised together; we fought together, that should mean something!" Thor dropped his head to rest his forehead against Loki's once more. Unable to allow space between them Loki's skin beneath his fingertips, the only thing keeping him from breaking.
"But Thor I am not your brother."
"Yes, you are Loki! You are my brother, and I want you. With every breath I take, I desire you." Loki gasped, unaware Thor's feelings were so intense.
"You love me?" Loki asked unsure of himself, Thor slid one of his hands gently over Loki's shoulder, falling to rest against the side of his neck the rough skin of his palms stroking the underside of his chin. The other snaking down to hold his slender waist gently.
"Of course I love you Loki, how could I not you are truly the most beautiful person I have ever seen, you are clever and a true marvel to behold in the midst of a battle, you were made for me and I for you."
"Kiss me" Loki demanded breathlessly, eyes locked with Thors a single tear streaking down his cheek as the weight of Thor's words settled over him.
"You are still my brother Loki" Thor's breath fans hotly over Loki's waiting lips as he unconsciously leans in closing the space separating their mouths.
"I would rather be your lover," Loki whispered a gentle smile ghosting across his lips, it was a rarity to see Loki so soft, but Thor had seen it on many an occasion. It was at this moment he realised he'd made an error hiding his love for Loki all these years because his brother had loved him too.
"You loved me, all these years. I always wondered what I'd done to hurt you to cause you to hate me in such a way; you loved me, didn't you?" Loki nodded his eyes welling with tears as he watched Thor connect all the pieces of old arguments and all the quiet moments shared between them.
"Oh Lo" Thor finally closed the gap between them his lips meeting Loki's in a loving kiss. Thor licked his way into Loki's mouth, tasting his brother for the first time was almost too much, he could hear the blood rushing in his ears, his legs unsteady beneath him. He cradled Loki's head in his hands, kissing him passionately both men getting lost in the intensity of the kiss. " I love you, Lo," Thor states breathlessly as he breaks the kiss. Looking down, Thor had never seen such an enchanting sight, Loki flustered, and his lips slick with a mix of their saliva.
"I love you too, brother" Loki teased a playful smirk adorning his lips as he pulled Thor in for another kiss not yet sated.

Monsters Don’t Need Hearts Part 12
*WARNING*
*SMUT*
It was the tenderness of his touch, the coldness of his skin which stimulated the deepest parts of me.
My mind was seeming to lose itself as he trailed sweet kisses down my (S/C) skin.
I wanted to believe that there was still a part of me that still harbored some sort of affection for the mischief god's brother but, the further I looked within myself the more I found that there was no such thing...at least not anymore. What was once nothing but love for the thunderer was replaced with an affection towards Loki that not even Thor brought out of me, though admitting it pained me more than anything.
"Such a beautiful creature." Loki whispered against the nape of my neck
The air surrounding us was filled with the stench of, if I were to dare say it...love and lust.  Outside of his chambers there was the chatter of what to cook for supper and meaningless gossip which was surfacing itself. So in other words whatever we did would go unnoticed, or so I hoped.
A faint blush dusted my cheeks as I felt his slender fingers trail down my sides, tracing an ever small circle and tenderly kneading the flesh.
"Ah, L~Loki.." I breathed, tangling my fingers within the thickness of his locks.
Was this part of some plan? To seduce me and use me as another trophy of his...conquests? That's what every part of my mind was screaming at me, begging for my blind eyes to see. That this was all some sick game to him but my heart was telling me something vastly different.
As if he read my mind he spoke once more, tugging at the hem of the emerald night gown which covered my trembling body.
"What must I do to prove my loyalty to you kitten? My infatuation?"
Our bodies rubbing up against one another and  exchanging an unfamiliar warmth.
Loyalty? Does he really think he of all people can talk to me about loyalty? How many times as he betrayed his brother? Asgard? How many times has he manipulated others in order to fulfill his selfish desires?
But of course I didn't let my thoughts manifest themselves into words, instead my next phrase of a different tongue that was almost foreign to even myself.
"Show me...my king. Just how infatuated are you with me?"
My response seemed to shock him as his gentle massaging of my sides stopped, for only a moment before I heard the faintest chuckle.
"If you believe you can handle it my dear."
"Do you believe in love brother? Or has Odin completely made you lack belief in such a thing?"
"Odin never loved me brother, nor did the people of Asgard. I was an outcast who was left to rot while you prospered."
"Lies brother."
"I may be the god of lies brother but in this moment I speak only the truth. Love is a lie which I was fooled into believing someone like me could achieve."
"Don't sound so defeated little brother. You will experience love someday and when you do it will make you do things, say things you never believed you would. Or so that was what mother told me."
My eyes fluttered closed and hips bucked as I felt him suddenly bite down onto the flesh of my neck, his hands which were once gentle now squeezing my sides roughly.
Another chuckle.
"You humans are such fragile creatures, flustered by even the slightest touch." His voice was smooth and sultry, like honey.
Beneath Loki's facade I saw a man who was broken, yearning for love, for understanding. He hid behind a smirk and an array of sarcastic comments to keep others from diving in too deep.
My body shivered and melted at his very touch though I was doing everything in my power to hold myself together.
A pitiful attempt really.
I was unraveling slowly, with every kiss and every squeeze.
Was this love? Or was this lust? That's what it had to be...that's what this had to be. The two of us simply acting in such a way because of the lack of sexual attention we yearned to receive.
It was as though Loki was tracing his fingers along a treasure map, looking to find the prize he had been so patiently waiting for. Beneath him was the woman he dreamt of. The woman he lusted and craved for for so long. A jewel to be cherished. A jewel to be loved and sought after.
For a moment all the god could do was admire the beauty, your beauty. His emerald green eyes dancing over your partially naked form.
It was taking everything within him and more to not simply tear the thin night gown he had given you the night prior off and ravish you right then and there but he couldn't assume you and his brother had already slept together and so he would have to be gentle. The god wasn't so evil as to force himself upon you.
Much like a predator stalking it's pray Loki licked his lips in amusement, lifting up the end of the gown which covered you. Beneath a pair of black lace panties covered the wet sex beneath.
"Mmmm..." The raven haired beauty hovered over his prize, taking in the sweet aroma which came from it. A few strands of his hair tickling the inner most part of your thighs.
Just a taste.
Only slightly did he part his lips to allow his tongue a taste of the nectar which tempted him, earning the faintest groan from the both of you.
I whimpered, opening my eyes to look at him with a lust I didn't know that I could ever feel. "P~Please don't be a tease.."
The voice that came from me the soft meow of a kitten begging for it's master to give it the affection it so desperately craved.
Loki smiled, happily obliging with my request. "Since you requested of it..."
With a sudden swiftness I felt a cold breeze brush up against my womanhood, giving me the indication that the lace panties which covered me were no longer there.
My patience was running thin and so I grabbed a hold of  the gods head and shifted my hips upwards, indirectly telling him to the best of ability that I wanted him and that I wanted him now.
Of course he caught the hint rather quickly and only grinned before parting his lips once more and licking along my wet folds, then sliding his tongue inside and earning a soft moan as his reward.
Upon getting another taste it was as though a switch flipped within him. The sweetness of it spreading along the gods taste buds and allowing him to savor it to an even greater degree. His calmness and tentativeness going out the window and replaced with an aggression Loki had buried deeply within himself long ago.
A light flickered within the god of mischief's eyes, then a lust, and finally a hunger.
Loki dug his nails within the meat of your thighs and let his eyes watch the way your body moved. The way you begged for more when his tongue plunged within the deepest and innermost parts of you.
The taste, oh by the gods the taste.
"L~Loki! Aa~ahhh!!"
The sound of his name falling from your lips further driving him to quicken his pace.
Faster.
Faster.
The room seemed to be getting hotter with every passing moment, counteracting against the coldness I felt in between my legs. I could feel the sweat starting to bead down the sides of my face as my breathing became ragged. Within myself a knot was growing and getting more intense with every passing moment Loki had his tongue curling in and out of me.
I had to keep in mind that we were still in his castle with dozens of servants walking down the halls just outside those doors and so I had to bite down on my tongue to keep myself from moaning out too loudly.
Loki didn't seem too fond of the sudden action I took of dampening the noises that were coming out of me and so he abruptly slide his tongue out from between my embarrassingly wet folds and crawled over me. This sudden lack of attention caused me to whimper out, looking up at him and finding only want and need within those eyes that held so many emotions within them.
"Do not mute your voice kitten..your screams, your cries is what drives me...graces me with such conviction." He said, leaning down to gift me with a kiss.
As our lips and tongues dances with one another my mind wandered.
This was...the momentary bliss and ecstasy that I had been yearning for months on end even though I myself for the longest time was blind to it.
Blind to the very fact that I did indeed have...feelings for this man...this god who had a destructive but lonely history.
Was it the thrill that drove me to him? No, that couldn't possibly be it. Or was it simply Loki himself. The very god that he was.
The idea seemed ludicrous yes but I've had far more crazy thoughts.
With every second that passed the kiss deepened and my sex grew even more wet. My nipples grew hard and the sweat coming from my pores came out at a much faster rate than before.
Something hard began poking at my inner thigh, eagerly pressing against the damp cloth with every roll of his hips.
I couldn't help but to blush, smiling faintly as he pulled away to look at me once again.
"Are you..."
"Yes," I nodded, cutting him off abruptly and finishing his sentence for him.
The raven haired god was shocked to say the least but kept it from showing on his face. He had assumed that you and his brute of a brother had already slept together. Loki was the god of lies, he wasn't able to read minds though a part of him wished he had such capabilities.
"I see.." His voice was low as he returned his attention back to the bruised skin around my neck.
A part of me was afraid... Afraid that he would break me. Afraid that his true intentions would be brought to light and be exactly what I feared for them to be but I couldn't let him sense it.
I couldn't let him sense my hesitation, so I bit my tongue and masked the uneasy feeling with an uneasy smile.
"I will be gentle with you kitten. Though I cannot promise you that I...wont loose myself."
Before I knew it the thin fabric that was covering his erect member vanished, reveling a massive manhood that I didn't think someone his...well size would have.
For lacking the muscle his brother had he...made up for it in other ways even though I had never really seen Thor's girth, rather the outline of it whenever he decided to wear sweatpants. But even then I always believed for the blonde to be the bigger of the two.
As if he sensed my surprise he let out a husky chuckle, planting kisses on my neck as he teased my womanhood with the tip of his throbbing member.
"Do not worry my dear...I will be gentle. "
I wanted to gaze into his eyes longingly but his sudden pull and pinch on my nipple kept me from doing so, causing me to gasp instead.
"A shame...no mortal ever thought to cherish you as I shall. Now...hold onto me kitten. I cannot promise you that this will not cause you pain, even if only for a moment."
The part of me that still had any sort of feelings for Thor wanted to stop this. Stop this...nonsense.
But as much as I wanted to try and push him away and say that I didn't want this I couldn't bring myself to do it.
This was the nirvana that I had been longing for for ages. The excitement that my nerves craved.
Loki was the drug that I never knew that i needed and for years had been suffering an intense withdrawal.
I brought him closer to my trembling body, hooking my legs around his waist as I took his chin and forced him to look at me.
Was that...surprise that I saw in those emerald green eyes?
"I want this...Loki. I want you." My words were a confession to not only him but to myself.
In a sense I was denouncing whatever part of me that still loved Thor.
The god of mischief gave me the faintest smile and a nod, kissing the back of my hand while never breaking his gaze from mine.
"My queen...and I shall treat you as such."
With a final kiss I felt him slowly insert himself inside.
Pain.
That was the first thing I felt.
A splitting pain I had never experienced before in my life.
My eyes went wide for a moment before shutting tightly, the grip I had around his neck tightening.
To hide the pain I was in I buried my  face in the space around his neck that my arms didn't cover.
The groan that had came from Loki's throat was one that I would've never in a million years thought I would've heard.
Low and...husky.
A symphony to my ears that I was elated to partake in.
"By...the...g~gods (Y/N)..." He managed to groan out, slowly continuing to push himself further inside me.
He tried desperately to distract my mind from the pain, kissing me as he rolled his slender hips into me, connecting with my own.
Tears threatened to spill but I held them back, returning his kiss to try and keep myself distracted from the evident pain crashing over my body in cascading waves.  My lips must've had the taste of salt but the taste didn't seem to bother him. Perhaps he was accustomed to it, having shed unseen tears in the solace he often put on himself.
"L-Loki..." His name the only thing keeping my wavering grasp on reality given the current situation.
The god gave me a pained look, placing a gentle kiss on my cheek. "I know my kitten...would you like for me to stop?"
'He was being considerate? Of my feelings and of my pain?'
I shook my head, kissing him softly and a single tear fell. "N-no...just..stay still...please."
Loki kissed the tear away and nodded, clenching onto the silk sheets and uttering another groan as he waited for my pain to subside.
It took a moment or two but the god was soon fully inside me uttering words in his native tongue that was foreign to me as walls tightened around him.
I steadied my breathing as I waited for myself to adjust, finding comfort in his earthy aroma and scent.
Soon the pain became nothing more than an afterthought, causing me involuntarily roll my hips in the subconscious need to truly be one with him.
"I care for her brother...no. I love her."
"(Y/N) is mine Loki. If you ever dare lay a finger on her or include her in one of your lies I will end you myself."
"Do you truly believe I fear you brother? I have watched the way you treat her. As if she is nothing more than a mere afterthought. Oh no brother I am not the one hiding behind a veil of lies this time, it is you. You go off to war and expect her to wait for you? While you go off on your brute antics?"
"I will cut your tongue out myself brother."
"I have suffered far worse of fates at the hands of our so called father. One day brother...one day she will see through your facade. She will no longer be there waiting for you but instead be with me...where she should have been. That I promise you."
The god began to roll his hips, the pace slow and gentle at first before beginning to quicken in to something far rougher.
In this moment my mind didn't think of my friends...locked away in some god forsaken cell. Nor did my mind wander to the man whom I was supposed to have feelings for. Instead all of my thoughts were on Loki...easing any of his pain or loneliness, making it my own.
Was that so wrong?
The rolling waves began to overtake me, my voice uttering cries of ecstasy and bliss. In return the god above me groaned out my name as if it were a prayer which drove my pleasure to a state I never fathomed of experiencing.
Beads of sweat stuck to his forehead, along with strands of his raven black wavy hair that I often found myself lost in.
"(Y/N)..."
What were once clear grunts of my name turned into something far more primal, his pace morphing into that of a starved animal.
My eyes clamped shut and my head tossed itself back.
"L~Loki! Oh my...god!"
No longer did it feel as though I was being ripped in two, instead the feeling was something complex. I could feel myself tightening around him with every thrust, each one sending me further and further over the edge to the peak I so desperately wished to experience.
Our lips danced with one another feverishly, the harsh sound of skin slapping against skin being drowned out by the chatter outside of his chambers. They were soft...and smooth, something I could never grow tired of while the sound of my name coming off of them was something I could grow drunk off of.
A knot began to form, deep within the pit of my stomach and it was one faintly familiar to me as it was the very same knot that had built inside me a few minutes prior. It caused my toes to curl and nails dig into Loki's back. If the gesture was too rough I wouldn't know as it only seemed to turn him on more, his hands clutching desperately onto me waist as if he were afraid I would dissapear.
"I will have her one day brother, and when that day comes you will only have yourself to blame."
"(Y/N) would never fall for you Loki."
"And can you really be so sure?"
I could feel myself growing ever closer to that peak and given the twitching of Loki's member I could tell he was close too.
Even know she's beautiful.
The way her hair lays against the sheets as if there is an halo over her head, an angel watching over her.
No, (Y/N) is an angel the gods so foolishly let free from their gaze. But it is alright, she is mine now and I never intend on letting her go.
Even in my delirious haze I was able to open my eyes, though the moment was brief I found a pair of beautiful emerald green orbs looking into my own with a sea of emotions I couldn't even begin to break down.
As his thrusts grew more erratic he placed a hand on my cheek, his thumb tracing gentle circles along the flesh before his lips parted to speak words I never believed I would hear from the god of mischief.
"I love you (Y/N)...with every fiber of my being. I crave you, your touch...your voice. How is it that a mortal...has such a hold over me."
I was...speechless to say the least.
'The god of mischief and lies...loves me?'
'But then again (Y/N) he is that...the god of lies. Every word coming out of his mouth could be nothing more than a fabrication.'
'But still, the look in his eyes says something else.'
'Even in this moment after hearing those words I couldn't deny I felt something great for him. Was it love? That I didn't know.'
Loki seemed to sense my shock and hesitation but instead only placed a gentle kiss on my lips, continuing his pace.
"I do not need an answer now kitten...I know it is sudden but..."
His words were cut off by the sudden cry of his name from my lips as that familiar knot began to suddenly unravel, my vision momentarily going black and toes curling. In that moment everything seemed to make sense. Being with Loki, even after all he's done. I somehow couldn't no longer see him as the monster everyone, including his brother, made him out to be. He wasn't the villain...not anymore.  It wasn't soon after that he followed, my name his last curse before his hot and thick seed was shot into me.
He rode out the rest of his thrusts before slowly pulling out of me, the sudden lack of warmth and filling making me whimper.
There was a pleased gleam in Loki's eyes which earned a soft smile from me, watching him take his place beside me on his double king sized bed.
"You are...beautiful kitten."
His voice was hushed almost as he pulled me into his arms.
It was strange just how quickly drowsiness overtook me, my (E/C) eyes struggling to stay open even though a few moments ago I was wide awake.
I felt his touch on my cheek again, lulling me into a full state of sleep but not before pressing his lips against my temple.
"Sweet dreams (Y/N)"
"I will always come back for her brother. No matter what battle I fight."
"That is not enough. She should be your reason to stay. She has shed tears for you Thor. Praying to her God that you come home to her every time you go off on some whim. One day you will break her and you won't be able to put the pieces back together, I will."
"You will be in Asgard's cell rotting before I let you near her Loki. She will not fall for your tricks or your lies."
"She's been lied to enough."

strangers
TITLE: strangers CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 10/? AUTHOR: hiddlemediddles ORIGINAL IMAGINE: Imagine being a psychologist set to question Loki during his incarceration in Stark Tower. Initially, he scoffs at the prospect of a ‘psychological examination’. However, Loki grows quite attached to you and complies to each and every programme you have in store for him. RATING: Mature NOTES/WARNINGS: And Loki is free! Not for long, mind you. But free nonetheless.. x - Loki was upright for a matter of seconds before he rushed over to embrace you. The full force of his body and embrace collided with your body. Feeling him fully, pressing against your entire body, was unlike anything else. His hands were pressed against your middle and they moved upwards to your cheeks. His long, agile fingers cupped your face and you felt entire waves of emotion. Loki’s head descended to your lips and he kissed you deeply. His tongue flitted out and you caught it with your own. Your mouths opened in rhythm to one another and you pressed further into him.
A great crash happened to your left side, the side of the door. The kiss was broken immediately and you both turned suddenly to see a very angry Fury and a very angry and immediately confused Thor burst inside with weapons. The signal from the straps on Loki’s bonds had given them a signal that Loki, by some miraculous action, had broken free. “How the hell did you break free from Frigga’s bonds?” Thor said in disbelief, but once he saw you both having broken your kiss so quickly, his eyes widened. You were so close to one another, his disbelief became directed at your proximity. “You both have some explaining to do.” Fury said, frowning at the scene. You didn’t think you could countenance turning your head to look at Loki’s facial expression. Loki was swiftly pulled away from you and guards detained him to be dragged out of the room. You raised your eyes hesitantly to see the looks on Fury and Thor’s faces. Pure shock was written there. *** Loki was pacing his cell, reflecting on all that had passed two days ago. He had been like this, almost constantly, for two whole days. It was on that second day that Frigga returned from Asgard, clearly exasperated by the entire ordeal. Having felt she had only returned to Asgard, she was immediately notified of a shift in her magical energy. A breakage. Loki breaking his bonds, the bonds she had magically attached to him. The mortal constraints were given the finishing touch which would ensure her son was bound. Thor had returned to Asgard immediately to bring her to Midgard. It was a complete and utter mess that she felt her son had orchestrated in his frustration. But when Thor explained the way in which Loki was found, bonds free, Frigga raised her eyebrows in surprise. Not shock, but surprise. Loki couldn’t stop thinking about you. He barely slept in fear that you had been completely unearthed and your reputation dragged through the gutter. He yearned to see you, but he knew it was impossible. He didn’t need release, he hadn’t needed it for weeks. You had released him. Loki feared he would never see you again. He stopped still and the thought came as clear as day to his head. Escape. Escape the cell and go to that apartment in New York you lived in. He didn’t have a clue where it was, but his energy was so attuned to yours that he didn’t doubt that he would find you in no time. “Not so fast, Loki.” A voice came from the distance. The soft, familiar voice of his mother. She walked through the wall of the cell, no need for a door. The outline of green surrounded her body as she walked into the cell to meet him. “Reading my mind, mother. You have always been so tuned into my thoughts, I find it difficult to believe they could be cut.” Loki said fluidly, though Frigga could hear his voice shaking. “Escaping is not the answer, Loki. You will see Robin again. Of that I am certain.” Loki’s mind clouded when he heard your name. He sat down on the small, barely furnished bed he had slept in for far too long. Luxury was foreign to him now. “Have you seen her?” Loki asked. “No, not yet. You must play along, Loki. I know it is tempting to rush off and see her, but you must trust me. Have I ever betrayed your trust?” Loki was silent for a while, frustration building up inside of him. It threatened to turn into anger. “I am impressed, Loki, of how strong your magic proved to be in those moments. I should be training harder.” Frigga smiled gently at him. “If or when you see her, tell her I am sorry. Please.” Loki whispered, disregarding what she had said to him. Frigga watched her son’s emotions unfurling before her very eyes. She moved towards him and Loki moved his hands to hold hers. They slipped through the holographic projection that was her entire body. She wasn’t truly there. “And you are not.. averse.. to my affection for her?” Loki asked slowly, his eyes averted. They remained trained on the floor. “Not at all, I think she is wonderful.” *** Nick Fury had formally suspended you from Loki’s rehabilitation programme on the grounds of ‘inappropriate behaviour’. You weren’t surprised, only shocked that he hadn’t done it as soon as you walked out of the door. He had to first coax out an explanation from you and you struggled to find the words. “How long have you and Loki been like.. this?” “Two weeks.” You said honestly. “But.. the feeling has been there for longer. Not acted upon, naturally. But due to - ” “Yes, observation. Prying eyes. I have to say, Robin, I am surprised. And I’m rarely ever surprised by shit like this. You were struggling to trust us and it was you who abused our trust. You should have pulled out of the programme as soon as these inappropriate feelings got involved.” You felt the flames of anger fanning in your stomach. “Send me a letter in the post, put it all on paper. I know I’ve done wrong, Fury. Let me gather my thoughts before you drag my name through the mud.” It was with that that you left. It had been days since the occurrence and you had received the formal suspension through an email by Fury. You carried on seeing clients for those days, but you knew that you might have to start cancelling appointments. Most of the clients were being transferred to their local mental health branches, with you as a type of go-between. You felt cheated. You had put your entire career on the line for him, just as you told yourself you wouldn’t. Just as you had said you wouldn’t to him. Everything you had worked so hard to attain. SHIELD was capable of grabbing the rug of your foundations from under your feet and dashing them in an instant. Taking your entire career and destroying it in no time at all, no matter how long you had spent in building it up from the bottom. All because of your desire for one man. Your desire for Loki. A desire you knew could never have been stopped. Even in the chaos of it all, you didn’t stop thinking about him. No matter how hard you tried to stay calm and banish him from your thoughts, he came back to you stronger. You were thinking about what he might be doing, what he might be thinking, as you were both so suddenly connected and then so suddenly separated. A soft knock came from the door of your apartment. It was so soft that you wondered whether you were hearing things. You hoped to the lord that it wasn’t some family member or other who had flown over from England to New York as a surprise. If it was, you were in no fit state to entertain them. You wondered whether you should change out of your pyjamas just in case it was Fury, but realised that you didn’t actually care. You sauntered over to the door and opened it, hoping that it was your mind playing tricks with you. You almost spluttered in shock when you saw Frigga standing on the other side of the door. “Robin! May I come in?” she said cheerily. “Well, yes. I - ” You said, shocked. You instinctively moved to the side and extended your arm to let her in. But it was an automatic response more than anything. “I’m here unofficially, of course.” Frigga smiled gently. You closed the door behind her and you turned, a sudden anxiety gripping your body. “Frigga. I’m so, so sorry. I can’t tell you how.. how sorry I am for all of this..” “What have you to apologise for, my dear?” Frigga smiled gently. She took your hand into her own and placed her hand on your cheek. “It’s all my fault, Frigga. I should never have - ” “Hush, my child. None of that talk. Come along, let us sit. You have a beautiful home.” she said. You sat with her and she didn’t remove her hands once. “More powerful than I could ever know, my Loki.” Frigga said wistfully. “Breaking the bonds of my magic like that. He has never once, in his life, succeeded in surpassing me in that respect. It just proves the strength of his feelings for you.” “Frigga, I don’t understand. Aren’t you angry with me? You trusted me to help heal your son and look at what’s happened - ” “And you have, my dear.” “What?” “You have healed my son. He is a healed man, only broken now by the consequences of discovery. He has always been one to put himself before others, but as of late he has been acutely aware of the needs of others and how grateful he is. When I speak to him, I feel as though my Loki is back. You have brought him back to me, Robin. He was ready to reenter society weeks ago. Now, he is only broken by all that has happened. He fears ceaselessly that he has ruined your career, something you prize so highly.” You see the tears forming in Frigga’s eyes as she speaks so fondly of Loki. You join her when she speaks of Loki’s fears for you. “Frigga.. I’ve ruined everything. He won’t be released now for.. Who knows how long..” “None of this is your fault, Robin. No one is to blame, my dear. All will be well. I am here to warn you that there will be a meeting regarding what has happened on Monday morning next week. You will likely hear from Fury soon, but I wished to see you before then. Thor believes I am taking a very long wash.. Little does he know.” You smiled at her. You definitely knew where the mischief came from. Monday morning, you thought. It was Thursday and you needed to prepare, but prepare what? “Loki will be there, detained of course. But he is permitted to speak, a statement of sorts. My dear, do not despair. I saw him earlier and he is, well admittedly distressed. He told me to tell you that he is sorry were I to.. ‘bump into you’.” You squeezed Frigga’s hand. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.” “I don’t know what Loki would have done without you.” Frigga smiled gently. “Everything passes, and this will pass along with it all.” You trusted her, just as you had trusted Loki. And you knew you still did. You just missed him desperately. You rested your head against Frigga’s shoulder and she comforted you. “You worry about your job?” “Not as much as I should.” You chuckled. “I’ve been wanting an excuse to get out of it for years, really. I do love it, don’t get me wrong. But I’ve been working the same ropes for years and years now. I’ve been yearning for a change and, as bad as it sounds, this seems to have quickened my need to transition.” “And do what, my dear?” “I’m not sure. I’ve always thought of going back to England. I do miss it, despite how pretentious it can be. Going back there and doing anything really. Working as a florist, in a cafe. Just something other than all of this emotional backlog.” “A simple life. We all yearn for it.” Frigga chuckled. “Or just another adventure. This has almost been that adventure, but I just know I need to get away from this complicated life.” You said. Frigga rubbed your shoulders with a smile. It was the most comfort you had received in a very long time. Even your own mother wouldn’t do something like this. “I have your answer, Miss. Robin.” she said with a smile. “Come to Asgard. Come to Asgard and live your adventure.” You raised your eyebrows in shock. “Go to live in.. space? Bloody hell.” “Yes! And why not? Yes, you are mortal, but we have plenty of mortals living in Asgard. You will have your independence, you could even continue what you do here on Earth over in Asgard. The possibilities are endless, my dear.” Your heart was thumping loudly in your chest. “But I can’t just drop everything.. can I?” “I will give you some time to think, Robin. Take care of yourself, I would recommend running some hot water and soaking for a while. Do exactly what I told Thor I was doing right now..” x

Pride and Prejudice, Chapter 42
Story Summary - Based on an idea I had that I submitted to Imagine Loki. Imagine Loki was raised on Jotunheim as Laufey’s son after the war, but an agreement was then made that he would wed Odin’s daughter so Odin could secure the alliance of Jotunheim through the marriage. Loki, in turn, was raised to be king of Jotunheim, but how he views Asgard is far different from how Odin’s daughter is raised leading to a clash of cultures as well as uncertainty between the pair of betrothed youths.
Chapter Summary - Loki wakes with no memory of his mate's words to him before he fell asleep. They try to relax to allow him to get used to being home again after war but life is not really going to be so easy.

NOTES - So, we're stuck doing this crap where all the fun stuff is gone and shops are charging 5 times the rate for anything good, and even with that, it's taken me this long to write a chapter. Sorry, everyone.
Ella woke to the sensation of their fluids seeping from her. She had not felt it in a long time with Loki’s absence, causing it to feel somewhat peculiar for her. She thought about it for a moment, knowing the reason for it not staying in her body for long was that there was nowhere for it to go. It was rendered useless by an earlier coupling facilitating the need to create a child and now, the entrance to her womb was long sealed to ensure the safety of the little one growing within it.
She recalled the day she realised that she was carrying. She had simply planned to touch one of the wilting petals of the ice flowers Loki always ensured to have in his/their room as she passed it. It was dying anyway and she liked the sensation of them dissolving as she touched it. Only this time, it did not melt. She looked at the flora for a moment, still as it had been before and to her hand, where it was barely even damp from the petal. She walked over and touched it again, noting the soft, silken feel to it as she did. For a moment, she wondered if her seidr had caused her to be able to do it. More than once, she tried different spells to see if she could attempt to touch them, to no avail. When Laufey’s words of how Nal, Loki’s mother, could only touch them when she was carrying Loki, she found herself realising that in their more recreational matings, she and Loki had created a child. Something their initial attempts failed miserably at.
She had contemplated telling Loki but then Thor came rushing onto the realm telling them of the issues that had arisen and the need for Jotunheim to join the fray. That had caused her to say nothing. She did not want Loki to fret while he was fighting. She had let slip slightly that she worried that Býleistr was not on their side and should Loki be harmed, she fretted that as the child was Loki’s heir, who was formally recognised by his father as his own one, they would be immediately gotten rid of, especially if it was a boy. Having an Aesir mother to the future king of Jotunheim would be tolerated while Loki was alive as he would ensure the child had a Jotun upbringing and would ensure it would follow in his likeness as a ruler but there would be no way that the general Jotnar population. It would be as some accused previously, Odin seizing control of Jotunheim through his daughter. That, she knew, would never be allowed happen and fleeing with the child meant that for as long as it would live, she would need to be wary of the risk of it being harmed. Thankfully, that had not come to pass.
When Loki returned, she tried to tell him but he was weary, experiencing the first good night’s sleep in what she would wager was eight months. She did not try to stir him again to repeat her previous words, she had another eight months of carrying their child, her revelation could wait until he was more awake. She turned slightly to look at Loki resting beside her. She felt more comfortable in his room in his absence, his scent almost causing her to sleep and rest better while also seemingly keeping the feelings of nausea at bay. From the manner in which Loki had panicked at the thought of her leaving the bed, she felt he had missed her in some manner also. She stretched her legs slightly and gently removed herself from the bed, doing whatever she could to prevent the seed that was between her legs from staining it as she did so. She had not even made it to the bathroom door when she felt Loki’s eyes on her, telling her that as much as she tried, she had failed to leave the bed without waking him.
When she had cleaned herself and went back into the room, she frowned to see Loki standing close to the door that separated their front room and bed area. “Is everything alright?”
“Yes, I just ordered some food.” He watched as she changed into day attire with the assistance of her seidr. “That suits you.” It was genuine. He noted the design and gave a smile, noting that she had caused her clothes to mirror the designs of his markings, signifying her allegiance to him as her mate.
Ella found herself blushing slightly. “Thank you.”
“Did you design that this morning?”
“No, I have been wearing items like this for the majority of the time you were gone.”
Loki was startled but proud of that statement. “Very good, I was not sure what you wished to have for breakfast, so I hope you have little issue with some of what I ordered.”
“I assume that you missed your favourite foods and ordered accordingly, meaning that there will be plenty for me to choose from...if you do not eat them all first.”
Loki could only smile at her playful and jovial tone. “I fear you have figured me out.”
“Even with a good portion of our marriage being apart, I think so.”
For a moment, Loki had to remember what that word meant. Marriage was something he heard with regularity in the talks with non-Jotnar through the time on the battlefield yet he rarely thought of the term when he thought of his own situation. To him, it seemed so sterile, too official in a manner referring to legality. It was a contract to most realms, he loathed the idea. Mates chose one another, in some manner and wishing to be together, to tend to one another. Most of the time, love was a factor, but even with regards to his mating with Ella, though it did not have a love like others had but there was mutual respect and understanding. He was happy with that much at the very least, long recalling the times where neither enjoyed the other’s company, both loathing the situation that was their life, they had developed a friendship which in turn became the situation they had now, something he thoroughly liked. She was not a mate he had wanted but she was one he knew was best for him and indeed, Jotunheim. She stood up for the realm time and again and indeed, seemingly acted as his mate should. Defending the name of the house and acting as he would have, demanding Býleistr’s return and such.
“That word does not sit well with you, does it? Or at least, I hope it’s that word that has you displeased and not some other part of my statement.”
Loki realised he had not kept his face neutral as she spoke those words. “No, it is that word.”
“You don’t like it?”
“It’s too formal, official.”
“I feel like I should be insulted.”
Loki shook his head. “It is a word based on agreements and trades, it has no place between mates, two beings that choose to be together.”
“If it were not for its official status, then we would not be together. It was not affection and a meeting of minds that caused us to come together. The fact we can bear one another now is merely lucky happenstance. It could so easily have been so different.”
“I almost caused it to be that you would not even be here,” Loki recalled his actions when they first were forced to be called mates and how his abysmal treatment of Ella affected her.
“That does not bear thinking about now,” She insisted. “All that matters now is building Jotunheim stronger than ever before, with new alliances and such to better the realm for all those yet to come.”
Loki inhaled deeply and felt a new thought enter his mind. “Yes, I recall us speaking some little on that. So many young to be born in the near future. We need to ensure Jotunheim is all it can be for them.” He nodded slightly. “It is hard to comprehend in some manner, thinking of those to come next. I have always seen us as the youth and future of Jotunheim, myself, my brothers and the few our age but now we must think of those younger than us and there will be so many.”
“It is somewhat clear that in less than a decade, there will be more born than since your own birth at this rate.” Ella agreed.
“It is startling but in the best possible way. Jotunheim will be more than it ever was.”
“It will make the sacrifices of the war worth it in the end.” Loki’s face grew weary at her words. Not knowing what to say, Ella placed her arm on his. “I know it is hard to process. I only suffered momentary scuffles but I have seen the effects of all of this before and it is not easy or quick to be dismissed.”
Loki, startled by her genuine concern, nodded slightly and sighed.
“We better eat. You must be hungry. I would imagine Light Elf food leaves a lot to be desired by way of flavour for a Jotunn.”
“It all tastes so starchy.”
“It is, especially when you’re not used to it.” Ella nodded, knowing well that the vegetable foods of Alfheim would have been like nothing Loki would have ever experienced before. “So enjoy some proper food again.” She urged.
*
Loki went back to sleep soon after eating, still tired and weary from everything, urging Ella to go with him. Her, in her understanding, thought it to be because he knew her seidr would alert them to intruders, allowing him to rest easy for a time, Loki simply because he had no idea as to why it made him feel uneasy to think of her not being close to him but exhausted, he chose to not question it, especially when she did as he silently requested.
It was well past noon and indeed a reasonable lunch hour when there was an almost apprehensive knock on the door to their rooms. Ella turned to look at it before seeing Loki’s eyes wide beside her. “It is alright, if there were someone trying to harm us, they would not wait at the door and knock.” She soothed. She went to get out of the bed when Loki grasped her arm tightly, causing her to look at him worriedly.
“No, I will go.” He rose from the bed, his arm forming an ice blade in his hand as he did so.
Ella rose from the bed slowly behind him and walked towards the door. When she felt the seal of her seidr on the door begin to break, she waited apprehensively. When she heard Arden’s voice, she was calmed for a moment but wondered what has caused him to come when he would know how exhausted everyone was.
“Ella?”
She jumped slightly at him calling her but rushed into the other room. “Is everything...the King…?”
“Father is fine,” Loki assured her, watching her as she visibly relaxed at such news. “But there is another issue.” She looked curiously at him, wondering what it could be as she noted him studying her expression. “Apparently, it has just been proclaimed in court that you have been cavorting with other males in my absence.”
Ella merely looked at him with confusion. “Excuse you?”

What Do You Want? || Jake Gyllenhaal
MASTERLIST is linked in my bio :)
Hey everyone, I hope you have/had a great day! So, here we go with a new imagine, I hope all of you enjoy it and thank you to whoever requested it, I had a lot of fun writing it! :) <3
Request: Hello May you please write a Jake Gyllenhaal one where you guys have been dating for a while but there’s an age gap so you two have a serious conversation about what you guys want to do, Jake wants to marry you and have kids thanks!
Characters: Jake Gyllenhaal x Reader, fans
Warnings: cursing, age-gap
Word Count: 2015 Words
What Do You Want?
"Have you ever thought about cutting your hair again?", you asked your boyfriend, who was lying on the couch with his head placed in your lap. Your fingers were running through his dark hair he had been growing out for months. The two of you were finally able to relax after a long time apart due to the press tour of Jake's newest movie: Spider-Man: Far From Home.
His laugh ran through your ears, "No, not really, why?" But you just shrugged with your shoulders, "No reason...", obviously there was a reason. He turned his head from the TV that was currently playing Grace & Frankie and looked at you, "You want me to cut my hair?" "You know... maybe just a little bit", you looked down at him, " a little bit here on the side", you brushed over the side of his head, "and maybe in the back and-", but he cut you off before you were able to finish your suggestion, " and leave it long on the top?", with a smug smile.
You smiled, "Yeah", and brushed through his entire head of hair. "So, you're suggesting that I should look like Detective Loki again?", the smile on his lips never left his face. "Yeah, I really liked that hair", your smile grew wider. The hair he had a few years ago on the set of Prisoners did things to you... you didn't even think you had ever told him, but oh my god that haircut.
Jake sat up next to you and put his right arm around you, "Seven years ago- it was seven years ago that we shot that movie. Seven years of knowing you", he hugged you tightly and kissed the top of your head.
You met on the set in 2012. Back then you would have never known that your role as Hugh Jackman's character's older daughter would lead to getting into a relationship with an actor you have had looked up to for almost a decade. But when you met, it wasn't Jake Gyllenhaal the actor that introduced himself to you, it was Jake. Jake, a thirty-one-year-old man who was more than happy to have gotten into acting and happy to have met you. You were about to turn twenty and couldn't feel luckier.
The time on set went by faster than you would have wanted, you spent most of the time with literally everyone but Jake - he joined you and Hugh every now and then but never forced himself onto you, and never anticipated to. Fast forward two years, we had the year 2014, the movie had been out for a year and you had kept in touch with most of the cast members but not Jake. You had gotten a role for a play on Broadway and to your surprise, Jake was cast in it as well. The moment he saw you, his keens started to buckle again, just like two years ago...
He wasn't supposed to feel like that, he knew it, but you can't choose who you fall in love with - it wasn't love at that point but most definitely quite a big crush. So, there you met again - destiny. He immediately recognized you and welcomed you to the rather large building with open arms, showed you around and made you feel comfortable even in front of such a big audience. It had only been two years but you had definitely matured quite a bit, he noticed.
After that month of being on stage with him, you stayed in contact. Slowly but surely you met up more and more often, hung out together, went to each other's premieres and eventually started dating, because... well, you would, wouldn't you?
There you were five years later. Five years of ups and downs, compliments and insults, supporters and let downers (?), time together and time apart, but you stood strong together. But... five years later and you still had doubts about... well, your relationship, your future, and love.
Back from your daydreams, you asked, "Did you ever think we would last five years?" He turned his head in confusion mixed with concern, "What do you mean? You didn't?" You moved to sit on the couch with your legs crossed, looking at him, "No... I mean, I don't know. I kinda just didn't think it would be that long I guess." "So you went into this relationship thinking we wouldn't last?", his voice held hurt, you could hear it and it broke your heart. "No! No, I meant-I...", you took a deep breath, " I honestly didn't think you'd want this", and pointed at the two of you. Jake shook his head, "I-I don't think I'm following." You jumped up in frustration, "Oh my god! This! Us! This relationship!" Jake copied your action, just in a lot calmer way, "Woah, Woah, Woah, ok. Calm down, sweetheart."
All of a sudden the emotions that had been building up over the years finally took you over, "Don't tell me to calm down! How are you not affected by this! How can you just- just act everything's normal! It isn't! I was unsure of us because... Jesus", you sighed and held a hand onto your forehead. Your boyfriend tried to get closer to you, "Because of what?", his voice was calm and gentle, the complete opposite of what yours sounded like. "Because of our age gap!", you lost it. Tears started streaming down your face, breathing suddenly became hard. "Do you know how many comments I have to listen to and read every fucking day?!", slowly the tears became less and your voice got quieter but the look of horror on Jake's face didn't change, "I did come into this relationship with doubt. Of course, I did", you threw your arms up in frustration, "Who wouldn't?! I didn't think that it would last, yeah! Don't tell me you did..."
His eyes drifted away from you, his hands were rubbing his face, "Jesus (Y/N)...", as soon as he put his hands down again, you could see the tears forming in his eyes, "I did, I really did. Yes, we do have an age gap but that never bothered me... I didn't know it bothered you." It was then there that you realised what you just said and you started crying again.
Jake rushed over to your side and gently guided you to the couch, "Come on, sit down. We should talk about this." "What's there to talk about?", your frustration let everything just come out of you, you weren't even able to think about the words. "(Y/N), there's a lot to talk about." After settling on the couch again, your boyfriend took you into his tight embrace trying to make you calm down. He petted your head and left kisses every now and then.
"I'm sorry Jake...", you sniffed. He reached over to the coffee table and handed you a handkerchief. You blew your nose while as he sat back sideways, supporting his left arm on the back of the couch, his head leaning on the fist he formed. "How long you have you been thinking about us like that?", he wondered. "I'm not sure... I didn't want to think like that, I swear! I was scared...", you looked down on your lap, holding the thin piece of paper. "Why did you never talk to me about this? I was thinking everything's alright and now suddenly I hear something like that."
You hurt him. You hurt him bad. "You're always happy and that made me happy", you took his hand. "You're not unhappy?", Jake asked concerned. "No! I could never!" "Then... where is all this coming from?", he wanted to know, desperately. "I'm nervous, always... every time we go out I'm scared of the pictures that the paparazzi made that show up as soon as we're back home. What people will say about us, you know what they're like", you looked at him. He ran his free hand over your cheek, "Yes, I know, sweetheart. But why would we listen to them? They're not the ones holding up this relationship. If I'd had concerns about us, I would have never asked you to be my girlfriend in the first place."
The memory brought a smile to your face, "Well... technically, you didn't really ask." "Oh, you wanna play smart ass now?", he asked with a grin, "Five years and you never mentioned this once. Not once." You started laughing, "You brought it up! I just wanted to let you know!" Your comment made him laugh as well.
After the both of you calmed down again, he took your hands and looked you deeply in the eyes, "Should we...?", he asked carefully, not knowing how to end the sentence himself. "What?", you got slightly scared at his question, "No, no, no, don't finish that question, no. I have to get my shit together, I want this." "Good, because I love you and I want this too." You couldn't hide the grin that was forming on your face, so you leaned forward and placed a loving kiss on his lips.
After separating again, Jake kept an arm tight around you, "What do you want?" His questions confused you, "What? What do you mean?" "Well, now that I know how you actually feel, I wan to know what you want from this relationship. Do you realise we've been together for five years and rarely talk about stuff like this?", he kindly requested. You thought for a second, but nothing came to your mind... probably because you were slightly scared of scaring  Jake away, so you just shrugged your shoulders, "If you are so sure of what you want... what is it?", you asked with a smile.
He leaned forward, put a hand on your hips and his mouth close to your ear, "I want to spend the rest of my life with you (Y/N)", he held you close and laid you back on the couch, him hovering over you, "I want to marry you." Jake got up, looked at you and kissed you deeply. "I want to have kids, with you. Two, maybe three", he shrugged, "why not five?" You smiled, "Let's keep it by three."
His smile grew wider, "Alright, three it is. Three little ones made by you and me", he placed a kiss on your neck, "We're gonna make them cute rooms, of course, you get to decide which colour. And we'll give them wonderful names", another kiss, "Let me not even get started with the wedding", and another one, "It's gonna be the most magical day in the history of weddings. You in a beautiful white dress, I in a whatever tuxedo", a laugh escaped your mouth.
He hovered over your face again, "You would walk down the aisle to the perfect song that you picked. I'd be slowly choking by the tears that are coming out of my eyes by just looking at you, only thinking about how lucky I got to be with a woman like you. What do you think?"
Tears started forming in your eyes, threatening to spill out, but the smile never left your lips, "Did you just propose to me?" He grinned, "If you want it to be?" "Oh my god", you laughed, "You couldn't think of a cheesier answer?" "So?", he asked with raised eyebrows, "Will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?"
One of the many tears in your eyes escaped and rolled down your cheek, "Of course", your arms went around his neck and dragged him down to be closer to you. Your lips met and dived into one of the most passionate kissed you have ever shared. Butterflies, like at the first time the two of you had shared your first kiss, went crazy in your stomach, making you giggle slightly. Jake pulled away but you were the first to speak up, "So, about the kids and them being made by you and me?", you asked seductively.
"Oh, mmh okay", he leaned down once more.

Psycho Analysis: Erik Killmonger
Tumblr media
(WARNING! This analysis contains SPOILERS!)
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has always been able to tell compelling stories with its heroes, but for the longest time the films lacked a key component of any great superhero story: great, compelling villains. Sure, there were enjoyable foes like Ultron and Red Skull and then there was Loki, the poster child for villainy in the early days, but I think at some point we can’t JUST have fun, we need something compelling and engaging too. To quote one of the greatest MCU villains, it should be “perfectly balanced, as all things should be.”
Thankfully, we eventually got those compelling villains. Characters like Zemo, Toomes, and Ghost showcased a level of complexity and depth not really seen in anyone outside Loki, and fun villains like Hela and the Grandmaster were better than ever, with more engaging personalities. Then we got villains who were a blend, like Ego and Mysterio, and don’t even get me started on Thanos. But there is one villain who stands out even among the greatness of these villains, a villain who is one of the few Marvel villains that I would without hesitation call one of the greatest villains of all time: Erik Killmonger.
Killmonger is a character who solidified Marvel’s turning point from weaker villains into villains worthy of high praise. And not only that, he helped to completely redeem his actor, Michael B. Jordan, in the eyes of filmgoers everywhere after a not-so-fantastic previous outing into the superhero movie genre (though starring in Creed probably also helped him out). Killmonger’s story is almost Shakesperean, with a tragic life molding him into the ruthless man he became, a man whose entire motivation is founded on hypocrisy. But it’s these facets and more that make him if not the greatest, but one of the most fascinating characters in the MCU. And yes, I mean characters period.
Motivation/Goals: Erik had a pretty miserable life growing up. His dad was killed by T’Challa’s father for allying himself with Klaue due to wanting to end Wakanda’s isolationist policies after seeing black people disenfranchised in America, and his mom was apparently in jail (and she died there). Erik’s greatest desire is to carry on his father’s work, only on a grander scale: he wants to take the throne of Wakanda for himself and forcibly end their isolationist policies, supplying vibranium tech to black people around the world and giving them the strength to fight back at their oppressors. And, you know, I can’t really fault him in theory, his plan isn’t totally evil…
...but it becomes very clear that the only person Erik really thinks about is himself. He’ll oppress and murder black people if they don’t fall in line with his plans, he doesn’t give a damn about anyone who isn’t black in general, and most tellingly of all: he decides to keep the power of Black Panther to himself, destroying it to keep any future generations from getting it. While there definitely is some truth to his goals and desires, it’s hard to deny that Killmonger is also acting out of vengeance and a lust for power. Unlike most villains who lust for power, he at least has a lot of other things going in to his motivations, which keeps him from being bland like, oh, I don’t know, Malekith.
I think it’s also worth noting that even in the film, the characters point out Erik is still operating like a CIA wetworker, dismantling and destroying governments while masking his motives under the guise of rebellious ideology. The thing here is that he’s not working for anyone who’s going to swoop in and scoop up the assets from the ruins of the places he’s destroying – he’s the master, and all he is doing is leaving behind chaos, destruction, and death for nothing. His own goals are not truly helped by a lot of his actions, especially not when he decides to eschew Wakandan traditions in the third act, which helps lead to his downfall.
Performance: Michael B. Jordan is a very talented man, which anyone would be able to tell you provided they had watched Chronicle and sat out F4ntastic. Unfortunately, the latter managed to stick in most people’s minds since it ruined the career of Chronicle’s director and basically garnered a lot of vitriol for everyone involved, so it was going to be an uphill battle for Jordan with this film.
Boy did he win the crowd here.
Jordan manages to make Killmonger everything you would want to see in a villain. He’s cunning, he’s dangerous, he’s charismatic, he’s pretty damn hot (Did you SEE him with his shirt off?!). It’s to the point where despite the incredibly embarrassing CGI cat fight at the end between him and T’Challa, Jordan manages to turn Killmonger’s death scene into a poignant and emotional moment that ends up deeply affecting T’Challa as a character and setting the stage for his character growth to the point where you can almost forget that you spent the last ten minutes watching a PS3 cutscene.
Final Fate: For a comic book movie villain, there is about a 10% chance you will make it out of any given superhero movie alive. Killmonger does not fall into that 10%; thankfully, he does get a poignant sendoff, where he gets to watch the sun set on Wakanda (both figuratively and literally, considering T’Challa’s actions in the ending) and deliver one last line clinging to his ideology to his dying breath. Maybe he was just playing a bit to mask his own egotism, but you have to give props to a man who stays steadfast and defiant even to the end. Even when offered the chance to be saved, he chooses to go out on his own terms.
Best Scene: I can hardly narrow it down to one scene, because Killmonger basically steals the show whenever he’s onscreen. But his cold-blooded murder of his own girlfriend when she became a liability to his plans, followed up by executing Klaue and delivering his corpse to Wakanda? That’s just ice cold. Most villains wish they could get the lengths they’d go to established like that.
Best Quote: After going on about the poignancy of his dying words, how could I not put them here? When T’Challa tells Killmonger Wakandan science can save his life following the Video game cuts- er, final battle between the two, Killmonger responds thusly:
“Why? So you can lock me up? Nah. Just bury me in the ocean, with my ancestors who jumped from the ships, 'cause they knew death was better than bondage.”
Final Thoughts & Score: There is just so much to unpack with Killmonger.
I think one of the aspects about Killmonger I like the most is that despite his good intentions, there is an inherent hypocrisy in all he does which, despite valid points and incredibly valid grievances, firmly cements himself as a villain. For all his talk of aiding and liberating his fellow Africans from the opression they face around the world, he feels no remorse in appropriating from them (as he does to that mask at the start of the film, ironically after calling out a museum worker for stealing it) or violently subjugating them and destroying aspects of their way of life as he does when he comes to Wakanda. And his own gripes against white people, while founded in a place of legitimacy, are also filled with hypocrisy on his part, to the point where he actively does everything he rails against the white colonizers for doing, down to even oppressing and harming other non-white racial groups so long as it furthers his desire to turn Wakanda into a power that can oppress all other nations with its technological superiority. Now, usually such rampant hypocrisy would lead to a poor character, or even an idiot – but such is not the case here. His own hypocrisy only serves to make him a richer, more well-rounded character.
Compare him to Thanos. Thanos also had a plan that was inherently flawed, hypocritical, and not rooted in rational thought – and he is widely praised as an excellent character. This is because you are not supposed to agree with a villain, valid as their points or their anger are. But at the same time, their anger and their motives gives you an insight onto who they are and how they operate, a window into how their mind works, and Killmonger’s definitely shows how he is a broken, angry man who was failed by Wakanda and failed by America and has suffered bigotry, racism, and violence all his life. And in his shoes, would you too not be angry? Even with the numerous atrocities he commits and the horrible hypocrisies he wallows in, it’s hard not to feel a bit of pity for a man who could have offered so much, only to give in to hatred.
And the thing with Killmonger is that not only is his anger valid, it ultimately does have ramifications, it ultimately does change the status quo, though maybe not in the way he envisioned. T’Challa realizes in the end that Wakanda failed Killmonger, that Wakanda has been selfish and allowed horrible things to occur to their fellow Africans because they didn’t consider them their people. And so T’Challa opens the borders, decides to share Wakanda’s gifts with the world, and reach out and help disenfranchised black people around the world so that someone like Killmonger never rises up again. What this could mean for the MCU going forward is anyone’s guess, but it definitely shakes up the status quo of Wakanda a fair bit.
I think it’s rather obvious that Killmonger earns himself a 10/10, joining the ranks of Thanos, Mysterio, and Ego at the table of champions. As far as villains go, I’d say he’s probably the deepest and most well-written, though I’d still say it’s arguable if he’s the absolute best. Still, he is certainly a fine metric by which to judge other villains, and if nothing else he will most definitely wash the bad taste of Jordan’s Johnny Storm out of your mouth forever. Killmonger really is what I would consider the gold standard that other villains need to live up to in other comic book movies, and generally speaking, we’ve been getting that recently. Let’s hope that the pace can be continued, and let’s hope whoever T’Challa is fighting in Black Panther 2 can measure up.

Hello! I'd like a RDR2/Marvel matchup. 5'2" Female/Straight/Aquarius, INFP ( INFP-T for a more in depth personality analysis ) I'm very shy and insecure about a lot of things, especially what people think about me/how I look. Once I warm up to you I start to feel more comfortable and will talk to you about anything. I love anything to do with nature ( stargazing, horseback riding, hikes ) and I love poetry and art. While I can sometimes act hyper, I mostly prefer calm/carefree discussions.
I Ship You With...
Arthur Morgan
Tumblr media
I hesitated a little before pairing you up with Arthur - I wondered if there were other men you could work well with, and I can definitely see you with others, but I think Arthur and you would have a pretty cute dynamic and he would probably fall in love with you, if given some time to get to know you and warm up to you.
I say some time, and it honestly means a few years. You’d have to have run with the gang for a little while for Arthur to trust you, and to start to grow some feelings beyond infatuation. Sure, a part of him has always found you pretty, and interesting, and funny, and well-read and cultured, more than most of the people he talks with and definitely more than him, and refined in a singular, humble way, because you care about nature and art and love so deeply and that makes you all the more attractive in his eyes... but he never sincerely pursued nor questioned those feelings, thinking them temporary, impulsive, and of minor importance. Now that he’s starting to discover new facets of your persona, he dares to imagine what it would be to hold your hand, or your waist, sleep by your side, to kiss you softly in the morning, roughly, desperately after a mission gone wrong. He opens his mind and heart to he possibility of love, after being closed for so long, for good, or so he thought.
This time, he’s in for the long run, or as long a run as the life you lead will allow. You understand that quickly, and there’s a part of you that gets the vertigo thinking about that, but at the same time you’ve never felt more content and safer than you do in Arthur’s arms, so you let the fear and uncertainty go for a minute and breathe deep, savoring the present.
You would spend a lot of time away from camp together, getting lost in the nature, going on horseback rides in the mountains, hiking along the most beautiful trails Arthur has discovered in his wanderings. There’s always a certain peace and quiet that you never seem to find anywhere other than outdoors, far from civilization, with Arthur. His scent envelops you, and the hand that’s not holding the reins comes to rest atop your own, and you’re finally alright.
Loki
Tumblr media
Loki would be intrigued by you at first, not knowing exactly what kind of opinion to form about you, but then as he would spend more and more time with you, hiding on Earth as best as he could, he would realize that he’s growing feelings for you, for a human, and. he. hates. that.
But he can’t really help it: you’re funny and charming and artistic and creative, you love the outdoors and your soul is evergreen. There’s something so magically attractive about you that Loki cannot look away nor forget about you, no matter how much time he spends far from you.
Loki prides himself in being a person of culture - of all cultures, human included -, and he has witnessed and learned about everything in the many years he has lived, but all the ancient poems he used to like take a whole new meaning, now that you are reading them to him. The words said with your voice and accent are entirely different from what he remembers, and they give a new color to the beauty he knew. It’s even more enthralling when you’re the one who wrote the poems.
If he could, he would take you to Asgard to show you off in front of all the gods, but the mere thought of his brother’s eyes settling on you makes spleen well up in his throat. You will remain his proud little Earthly secret for a little longer.
Loki wouldn’t let any insecurity taint your perception of yourself - he likes you best when you’re confident and unapologetic. He will shower you with affection and compliments - he’s proud, but still self-conscious about living in his brother’s shadow for so long, so he understands how that might feel like. But the insecurities have ruined his existence - he won’t let it happen to you, you’re too beautiful to wear a frown so often.
Loki can be surprisingly calm and well adjusted, especially when you’re talking together. He has interesting insight on almost every subject beause he has seen, and lived through, so much, and yet he manages to feel like an atteignable person that you can love without it feeling entirely like a dream or a fantasy.
