whats the mercury lore? if you wanna share that is! no pressure, I'm interested to hear his story

*KICK DOWN DOOR* i would love to tell but im gonna put it under a read more and put a tw of religion-ish stuff/cult stuff and its long this is actually sorta important to his lore so i aint gonna sugarcoat it

Mercury was raised by most of his family in some snowy lands in popstar (yk the fight with Francisca its basically that but on popstar) His family was reallllyyy religious and wanted to appease the ancients and somehow make them come back The parents of mercury believed the next child they would have would make the ancients happy and solve all their problems. So they PLANNED when mercury was supposed to be born and killed and all this other stuff Mercury was raised by them and his cousins and basically his whole family so he thought all this religious stuff was normal. He was taught how to be an archer and alot of other things BUT the night before basically his whole family got killed except mercury who exactly? the first guy in this heheheh*spins* BUT ANYWAYS mercury woke up the next morning and thought "oh they probably moved without me...hm.." and he searched for em for a few days but slowly lost hope. but he was always taught to be strong so he went to wander around popstar. he eventually became a mercenary so he can get food by doing jobs for people. most of em was simple and stuff and he was super good with the bow so it was basically a piece of cake! (he didnt snatch food for the first month totally shhhh) he then arrived at dreamland and was hired by the king himself!! it was an honor to mercury since... 1) more money!!! 2) he would make alot of people jealous with this mercury and king dedede didnt actually get along for the first month why? because mercury even tho he was hired by king dedede to beat kirby he always went to kirby side to beat king dedede and to help him get unpossessed when he was possessed but slowly he warmed up to mercury like he did with kirby. and knew he wasnt being a jerk and betraying the kingdom he just wanted to protect everyone. so king dedede talked with meta knight about training mercury. Meta knight actually didnt want to do it for a bit but when he saw how determined mercury was to protect the king,kirby and others he just accepted it and now he was his mentor and still is to this day

mercury and meta knight usually train once per week due to meta knight being busy and mercury trying to keep the king protected from whoever one day after the 64 game (let sayyyyy around a few months) i like to think dark matter is still around actually and actually went to mercury and tried to get him possessed. mercury was more strong willed ig you could say so he wasnt easily possessed. but dark matter stayed near him for a long time and tried to make him feel anxious,scared or whatever just to make him lower his mental state so he could have an easier time to possess him. This was around the time our lovebirds started to crush on eachother as well. one day dark matter wins and was able to possess mercury. AND GOOD GOD. he fought king dedede kirby and meta knight. barely won but king dedede knocked dark matter into next tuesday. mercury passed out and they put him in a room and just watched over him for awhile. when he woke up he couldnt move his legs and he was extremely weak. it took at least a month for him to recover.

after all this stuff things become sorta normal. mercury tho. hates the scar dark matter left on him. sometimes he will claw at it due to his frustration at it. (thats why he always wear long ass pants to cover his scar ^^) (and thats why he is so fucking scared of dark matter due to his possession) anyways after a bit he and king dedede got together (mercury gave him a pebble. he asked alottt about his traditions so thats why) after the rest of the games a magic user (idk his name but its the guy who killed mercury fam) comes over and convince mercury to come with him by saying his family is alive and miss him </3 mercury didnt want to go due to him thinking his family wouldnt want to see them (THEY ARE DEAD YOU IDIO-) but king dedede being supportive and sweet convince him to go and everything will be fine mercury goes with the magic user but got captured by them. they tell him how he was supposed to be a sacrifice and he was worthless and blah blah blah and he was controlled by them. king dedede and kirby and metaknight and bandana dee go try to find mercury and when they do they kick the magic users ass and save mercury...mercury was feeling extremely weak due to this and he was using alot of his ice powers (when he is pissed the ice grows on his arms and hands like big bulky ice gantlets and his arms get badly burned from this) but was greatful king dedede and the others saved him. uh anyways he is heavily traumatized and hates his family and is living on greatly without em. he rarely opens up to king dedede but when he does about his family after the incident king dedede always listens and comforts him.

uh yeah thats his lore or most of it lmao probably will change later but this is most of his new lore

Any villainess jennette headcannon's?

I'm gonna make it yandere male!Jennette + Athyette, because Zenetien lives rent-free in my mind. He is the most terrifying when it comes to Athy.

1. I feel like Jen has the potential to become very narcissistic. The public was entranced by his lovely appeareance. And he feels like he has to maintain it at all costs. As a result, he becomes, to some degree, rather vain and egotistical. He becomes as fixated on his beauty as the public is. When compared with Athy’s genius he feels lacking in his abilities. He feels like the only way he can make up for his deficits is by prettying himself up since it’s the only reason why people love him. Beauty = Love

He has a detached sense of self. People are constantly projecting an image on him and he feels obliged to fullfill their expectations. It gets to the point where he has missed the window to develop his own personality and he doesn’t know what his true self actually looks like. Sometimes he doesn’t feel anything at all and only emulates feelings. Sometimes he gets almost overwhelmed by a rush of emotions.

2. Oh Zenetien would love to play the good prince without really doing anything. He would give largely in charity, on his birthday he would release prisoners that were sentenced to death, invite orphan kids over to his castle to play in his garden and sometimes he visits the children and reads them fairy tales at the orphanages. Would he change the system and take care of the root of the problem of proverty and illiteracy? No, idk that sounds stressful and like a lot of work :( Who would want wrinkles and graying hair before they hit their 30s? Eww. Besides longterm plans don’t show immediate results so no instant gratification for him.

2. He sort of has the tendency to paint himself as the victim even when he does evil shit. i.e. he would annex Siodonna to gift it to Athy (he would also feel that Obelia is entitled to Siodonna since Athy’s mom was a princess of Siodonna) and when she gets rightfully upset over the colonization of her home country he would have the audacity to cry that he has no family and knew that no one gave any fucks about him but he thought she was different. Why can’t she appreciate his efforts? He only wanted to make Athy happy and didn’t want her to hate/abandon him. Resulting in Athy apologizing in shock and having to comfort him and tell him she loves him to calm him down.

3. Zenetien is susceptible to his dark magic's influence, but once he starts using it, his ability to resist the impulse erodes further and further over time. As his reservations to use the powers losen so do his morals. He might at one point show character traits that are similar to his father's or even Aeternitas. Just like how Athy's divine beast born from her excessive mana displays similar personality traits to Athy, Zenetien who is a construct of black magic might have similar inclinations as Aeternitas/Anastacius and find himself in an eternal battle of wills, if the mana he possesses contains indeed a remnant of the original owners personality/soul. The result would be a bizarre hybrid of conflicting desires where he yearns for Athy’s love and Claude’s approval while simultaneously feeling jealous of what they have and aching to hurt them. It starts slowly with him doing small acts of evil but he’ll delude himself into thinking he’s still a hero. Eventually whatever faux-altruism he might once have claimed, he’ll have it shaken off. Once has become emperor he has fully convinced himself he deserves this over Athanasia and that he is allowed to indulge in his selfishness.

4. He might discriminate against magicians. I don’t mean he’d hunt them down or burn them on a stake (although this isn’t fully off the table since Aeternitas harboured an extreme hatred against people who possessed an unnatural high amount of mana), but he’d probably police them stricter and keep them separate from the Imperial Palace + do anything to weaken any political power they might have wielded and shake the public’s trust in them. It has personal and political reasons: The personal reason is obv because Aeternitas hated them and Zenetien feels this resentment subconsciously. The other reason is that he cannot risk someone finding out he is one of Anastacius’ experiments and therefore only a pretender to the throne.

5. Madness/greatness: Zenetien would go down in history as a controversal ruler. Zenetien would become an Emperor beloved by his people but feared and hated by his neighbouring contries. And that for good reason. If Athy runs away after he has killed Claude the loss of his only remaining family would push him off the deep end. Giving in to his dark urges would drastically accelerate his possession, because he is in a horrible mental state and doesn’t want to feel the pain any longer, so he welcomes the temporary loss of his mind that takes his pain away. This is what I would call the yandere snap. His morals take the backseat and his instincts take over. He'd order the other neighbouring countries to hand over Athy. Should they refuse or find themselves unable to fullfill his request he'd declare war on them and systematically burn down cities as he goes to root out Athy and her allies. He'd be Obelia's fiercest war lord ever seen in all the generations of Emperors, but for completely different reasons than his predecessors lol He just wants his sister back.

6. Most of Zenetien’s achievements can be attributed to Athy (he dumps his work on her after her father’s death) and Ijekiel (he kinda serves as his voice of reason). They are his only links to humanity. In theory Zenetien is capable to rule a country but he finds paperwork boring and the alternative to make Rosalia and the nobles regents sounds really tempting.

Zenetien has at least a powerful a cultural influence. He is considered the pioneer of the Romantic Movement. His rule affects the arts of Obelia, mainly poetry and prose.

7. Rosalia is very much involved in the reign over Obelia and constantly clashes with Athy. Zenetien lets Rosalia get away with lots of things. He is aware that Rosalia does plenty things behind his back like extorting money but he turns a blind eye to it. Blame his mommy issues. They love each other in a poisonous way and he could never harm her. Even when the first assassination attempt against Athy takes place, he would only throw his aunt in a dungeon for a month or so and only banish her from the capital if Athy was seriously injured or in a life-threatening state. However he doesn’t show the same mercy towards non-blood related nobles. Off with their heads!

Rosalia would try to kill Athy in an attempt to fix her nephew’s obsession only to realize she is like 99% of his impulse control and he’d go batshit insane without her.

8. Athy and Jennette’s magic makes them dependent on each other. Athy’s magic purifies Zenetien from his dark thoughts that only seem to get worse and worse over time. He becomes addicted to her presence to the point where he finds it aggravating to be apart from Athy for a longer period of time.

Athy isn’t 100% immune to Zenetien’s magic either. The effects aren’t as severe but they are there. She’s constantly exposed to his mana. Additionally she is in a vulnerable state: traumatized after witnessing the death of her father, suffocated by Zenetien’s obsession and expected to rule a country without given any time to recover or sort out her feelings. Yeah that would fuck her up A LOT.

9. Zenetien makes Ijekiel part of his kingsguard. I want Zenetien to want to have both Athy and Ijekiel even if it ends up hurting them.

10. If we wanna go the really dark route, he’d torture prisoners to relieve his stress and to get a taste of the wide range of emotions others are feeling. It’s messed up but he is jealous of the negative emotions others are capable of expressing. For example when Ana created him he didn’t find it necessary for Zenetien to feel pain, he feels it only numb enough so he wouldn’t accidentally lose a body part during a battle. When Zenetien is hurt he cries because of shock, because others expect him to cry and because he likes being comforted. In truth he feels nothing at all.

About Zenetien’s feelings for Athy. For the longest time he wouldn’t even be aware of his feelings. Something serious has to happen to shake the foundation of his world. For example LP Claude ordering Athy’s execution would make him realize how deeply her loss would affect him. That’s when he realizes he’s in love with her. He brushes off any guilt or shame he might have felt because he has bigger problems and once they are solved (through murder ofc) he would quickly transition into "prince in a fairytale" mode and treat his inappropriate feelings for Athy as some sort of tragic love story. A lot of Zenetiens problems steem from his sheltered childhood. He didn't have much contact with the outside world so lots of knowledge he’d gathered from the books he was reading. He adopted a binary view of things. Murder is bad. Unless it's committed by the hero and he has a good reason for it (love). Ironically Zenetien considers his sinful feelings for Athy as the ones that absolve him of sin. Nothing evil can be born out of love. Zenetien bases his morals on fiction. His view of love is rose tinted and highly idealistic. When he kills Claude he expects Athy to be grateful, he thinks Athy owes him affection for playing her knight in shining armor, which is total bullshit but he manages to sway the public's opinion in his favour and it supports his delusion. They start worshipping him as their saint and saviour, so he thinks Athy blinded by grief is in the wrong here.

Ooooh thoughts on Nice to Meet You's ending?

I know a lot of people feel very strongly about Nice To Meet You's ending. And well, I also have ✨opinions✨

For one, I'm not the kind of person to assume that just because a male character is on the cover, that he's going to be endgame. I had no real expectation that Daze was fated to end the series dating Mew.

Frankly, I barely found Daze engaging as a character. His most memorable moment to me was that scene where he helped Mew walk through the murder of crows to the phone booth. Butterflies ✅ invested in him as a character ❌

He's sweet enough, but overall, I thought he was kind of boring. Don't @ me but I'm pretty sure a lot of people only liked him because he was hot.

Does that mean I was Mew x Wyn shipper? Nah. That entire first season, I was extremely convinced Wyn was aroace. I should've known it was too good to be true. An equally attractive best friend to the male lead with NO interest in the female lead? We could've had it all.

I adore Wyn as a character. He's cute, fun, funny, good-looking, and supportive. His mullet is sick. His outfits are slay. He's basically perfect...but not for Mew, imo. Him falling for Mew was startling.

However, Mew is very lovable in the typical clumsy anime girl way. I just thought the story would become about her journey to self-actualization and idk...following her dreams or something. Not knocking on the romance, but season one was just so strong and handled her character so well. I was impressed that she rose above expectations and handled the theatre crush situation on her own, more or less.

But season two...girlie what even happened. It became all about her having to decide between Wyn and Daze. That would've been fine if it wasn't so heavily focused on her crushing and blushing and looking down at her shoes shyly. I didn't think Mew was weak or annoying, but the writing did her a major disservice in the second season.

One thing I'll say is that I really liked that neither Daze or Wyn were competitive or possessive of Mew. I despise love triangles, usually because they treat the female lead like an object to win, or they resort to bullying and pulling each other down to end up with the girl. It's like "guys, GUYS, why are we fighting over (1) girl when there are so many fish in the ocean".

But Nice To Meet You hopped right over that trope and had Wyn and Daze mutually agree to let Mew choose. They literally let each other have moments with Mew at their own expense. It was really sweet. I liked it.

But the ending still flopped 🙊 what do you MEAN a 3 year time skip????????? I feel like I'm the only one who was genuinely flabbergasted by Mew's painting of Daze. Was it supposed to mean something?? And if so, why did we never get an explicit answer?? Mew crying tells me nothing.

As I said, I ship neither Daze nor Wyn with Mew. I wasn't disappointed that she chose Wyn, but I was confused about why. I had so many questions.

Why did Daze give up on her? Why did Mew need to take a trip for that long? Where did she go? Why did she she cry while painting Daze? Was she letting go of her feeling for him? Did Daze never find someone else? Did Mickey just keep his unrequited crush on Daze for 3 more years? Why was Wyn willing to wait that long for an answer? What's Mew's brother up to? Did Simon follow him? Was Mew so hesitant to start a new relationship because her last one was abusive? What even happened to her ex? Why doesn't she talk about him more? Is Daze's dream to run a coffee shop? What's Wyn's career? Are they all still in college?

A three year time skip is just way too long.

More importantly, I do not like Wyn with black hair!!

I wasn't a ride-or-die Nice To Meet You fan, but I still had all these questions. I can't imagine how its biggest fans felt about the ending. Well, no, I can. That comment section on the last episode is brutal. I'm sure the creator had a reason for rushing the series to a close, but I feel the fans are equally justified in being very frustrated by the unanswered questions and Mew suddenly ending up with Wyn when I think most were lead to believe the painting meant Daze was endgame.

6/10 ending, what a bummer ending for a series with such good art and characters.

sup, hey, how ya doin!

anon request; a big fight that leads to the s/o packing her things and leaving their apartment?

hey, hey guys. so i'm back with another react, and this time it's not going to be very happy and it's gonna be extremely angsty (well, as angsty as i can write). but yeah, i really hope you like it and thanks for reading. note; they're also gonna be kind of longish, that's why i only did the maknae line because if i didn't they'd be a nine million page essay for you to read. and im shitty at writing angsty stuff, so im sorry.

also, i kind of used the text of their "love yourself" posters... idk why, i just thought it'd be a cool thing to do.

Taehyung;

"seriously, taehyung, why did you have to go off like that?"

"because he was flirting with you," he'd reply to you,

"no, no he wasn't tae. he was being friendly and helping me find the ladies bathroom," you'd reply, not being able to believe how childish tae was being.

"i sore him wink at you as you got up, and i know you sore it too. don't like to me, _____," he'd say, raising his voice a little.

"winking at me? tae, honestly, i think you're seeing things," you'd chuckle to yourself.

"so you're calling me a liar?" he'd question you aggressively.

"i never said that, i just said i think you're seeing things. which you obviously are if you think he winked at me because he clearly didn't wink at me at all," you state, walking away from taehyung and this petty argument you two were having. "talk to me when you're not being so childish, im not in the mood,".

"childish? you think im childish?" he asked you angrily.

"well, teahyung, you can't say you're not childish when you're starting up petty arguments with me and that waiter at the restaurant,".

"is that a yes?".

"obviously, tae. it's a yes," you reply sarcastically.

"well, i think you're wrong," he'd speak up, trying to defend himself,

"that's a matter of opinion," you'd mutter under your breath as you walk away, in the direction of your shared bedroom.

"what was that?" he'd yell, grabbing you're wrist pulling you back. taehyung has never gotten this aggressive with you, he'd never gotten angry at you and this angry looking tae was all new to you.

you hiss in pain a little as he spun you round. "ow, tae. let go, you're hurting me," you'd groan out of pain, but he wouldn't loosen his grip. "taehyung. i said let go!" you yell, trying to pull your wrist out of his tight and rough hold.

"are you going to answer my question or not?" he'd say, intimidatingly, "what did you say?" he'd growl slightly, sending cold shivers down your spine.

"i said, it's a matter of opinion," you spat "and what that means, because obviously you can't understand the most basic sentences, is; yes, i think you're childish," you added sarcastically.

"i'm not stupid, i know what it means," he'd shout, letting go of you're wrist carelessly.

"well, you obviously have some difficulty taking basic information in if you can't understand the simple words 'let go'," you say walking away again. but once you get into your room you realise he's followed you. "tae, just leave me alone. you've shouted at me, bruised my wrist, what are you gonna d now?" smack me?" you say sassily, taking a suitcase out of the large storage cupboard next to your bed.

"what are you doing?" he asks, watching you're every movement.

"packing my bags, what does it look like?".

"what? why are you packing your bags?" he asks again.

"well, what else would i do? i'm not staying in the same house as the man who just physically hurt me," you reply chucking a few shirts into the black case.

"what? you're leaving?" he says "no, you can't leave," he adds trying to stop you from packing your things.

"no, tae!" you yell "I've had enough. i remember when i first got with you, it was my dream relationship, but now.... now, you're jealous all the time. you act like someone is going to steal me away from you, you treat me like an object. i'm not your fucking possession tae!" i'm a person, not a toy." you rant, tears filling your eyes.

you truly loved this man, but recently this relationship hasn't been what it should be like. he's be jealous, angry, and just down right pathetic. and you honestly couldn't take it, you couldn't take being treat like his possession. you just had enough of everything.

"no, please..." he'd whimper "you can't leave me, you're the only thing I've got. yeah, i have the boys but they don't make me feel the way you make me feel, they don't make me feel so loved up to the point where i can't breath," he'd cry out. a small, thin tear would cut the skin on his cheek and slice it's way down do his chin, and then falling onto his shirt.

"i'm sorry, tae. i just can't, not anymore," you'd sigh zipping up the case and dragging it out the room, just to have him follow you once again. he'd block the door way with his kind of tall frame and try to convince you to stay, but you wasn't having any of it.

"please, i love you," he'd coke out. that's one phrase that didn't leave his mouth that often, you hardly ever heard those words anymore. it was like 'i love you' was a taboo in your relationship at this point, that last time he said that was months ago when he wasn;t so cold and so distant.

"but you need to show it, if you loved me you shouldn't have treat me the way you did," you shrug as he steps aside, realising there was nothing he could do. "and, i love you too tae," you'd say opening your shared- well, now his- apartment.

"fine then, leave! i don't need you, it's not like it's hard for me to get another girl anyway. have a great life!" he shout as you close the door behind you, walking out of his life- 'for good', as you thought to yourself.

but the moment he realised you weren't coming back he just sat there and wondered what he did and how it all went wrong.

"if i had made a different choice, would you have not left?" he mutters, the warmth of his breath hitting his knees as he shrivelled up into a ball on the floor beside the doorway. crying. he didn't think he'd ever stop crying, and could never stop loving you.

"where did it all go wrong?" he'd ask himself "what can i do to change this? what can i do to get her back?".

(i kind of made this one as if jimin had anger issues/problems, like i know he supposedly is scary but i mean as if he gets angry way to easily over the littlest things... if you get what im saying?)

you both walked into you're shared apartment. you just caught him slagging you off to the other boys behind your back, and you're defiantly not happy about it.

"jimin.." you speak out quietly. and he looks over at you. "why did you say that stuff? if you really thought it, you'd say it to my face. right?" you added. he tried to reply but it was like his mouth was closed shut. he had literally no idea why he did say those horrible things about you because he knew he didn't mean any of it, he could never think that way about you. he didn't know if it was for attention, or if he really is just a dick.

"jimin, did you hear me?" you ask again, waving your hands in front of his dazed face.

"yes!" he yells, making you flinch a little, "yes, i heard you," he said in a softer tone realising he scared you a little. "im sorry..." he whispers "im sorry for shouting. i didn't mean to," he adds backing away from you.

"it's okay jimin," you sigh, not being able to look up at him. he hated that. he hated that you couldn't even look him in eyes; out of fear, hate, disgust... he didn't know, but he still hated and was scared of that very look. "but seriously, why did you say it? why did you say those things?" you ask.

"i don't know.." he mutters under his breath trying to avoid the cold stare you was now giving him.

"jimin, how do you not know? you don't just have a bad say and start saying disgusting things about the ones you love," you explained, getting a little annoyed yourself.

"well, i don't know why i said it. maybe for attention? maybe because i'm a complete dick?" he spoke out, quoting what you said to him before you started dating, before you knew about his problems. you remember that day vividly; you was hanging with the boys and he was being rude, just as rude as he was about you about 20 minutes ago, and you called him a complete dick... a few months later you were dating, but that's not the point!

"i lied," he spoke out... lied about what? you thought to yourself. "to myself," he added, "i lied, you can't love me," he explained quietly. looking at you, sadness in his eyes.

"what? what are you talking about jimin?" you ask him, extremely confused to what he was on about. one minute you was asking him why he said what he did, and now he's saying he can't be loved... that does make sense. you said in your own head.

"leave, _____," he spoke out, taking a deep breath afterwards.

"what?" you reply, "why should i leave?" you ask him.

"because you can't love me. im unlovable. how can you love me when im like this?" he shouted, scaring you again.

"unlovable? but i love you!" he yell back out of confusion.

"no you don't, no you really don't," he said back, louder then before. angry jimin meant scary jimin, and you was defiantly scared at this point. you've always put up with it though, it's not his fault and he can't help it.

"jimin, don' be stupid. of course-" "no, _____!" he shouted over you "no you don't! now get your stuff and leave," he added, screaming.

"fine, then. i don't wanna love someone who screams at me and tells me to leave for no reason," you yell back. this is enough. you can't live like this, you love jimin but you can't have this every time you argue. it's like time is repeating itself.

jimin just stood there. thoughts popping into his head. of course she can't love me, i'll just hurt her. i'll break her down, i'll destroy her. she deserves better there's no other way.

"goodbye jimin!" you yell slamming the door behind you. he couldn't believe he just did that, he just told the only person he's really cared for to get out of his life. the only person who understood him was gone... because he told her too! it's madness.

he stood there, picturing you walking down the apartment block corridor- crying. all he wanted to do was run after you and say that he's sorry, but this was the best thing.

"i lied," he told himself quietly, choking on the air around him. "i lied, because there's no reason to love me,".

(i know this one isn't really a proper argument, but i did say im not that good at doing angst so yeah... have this instead)

Jungkook;

as you unlock your door slowly, you hear some voices from your kitchen in your shared apartment with jungkook. oh, are the boys here? you though to yourself. you closed the door quietly, trying not to slam it.

as i walked further into our apartment, you noticed the shadow of two figures. and the presence of a female voice. "jungkook," you speak out quietly. please tell me he's not doing what i think he's doing.

"jungkook!" you yell. he was doing exactly that. he was with another girl. he was kissing her. "what the actual fuck, jungkook!" you add angrily, whilst he looked at you with a puzzled face.

"shit, _____. i thought you weren't home for another hour or so?" he asked, scratching the back of his neck, pushing this random girl off him.

"well, obviously not. i finished work early, so i thought i'd surprise you with a dinner since i though you were out with the boys," you explained. staring at this girl who was just eating your boyfriends face off.

"get out then!" he yelled at this random girl, and as she walked out she turned to me saying; "i'm so sorry. he told me he was single," and then finished with her sentence with "a whole month ago,".

once she left the house, you looked at him. disgust in your eyes. "aren't you leaving too?" you asked him as he stood there silently.

"what?" he replied, looking at you shocked.

"didn't you hear what i said?" you question him. "i said go!" you add raising your voice at your boyfriend of 9 months.

"why?".

"jungkook! are you stupid? are you thick in the head? you've been cheating on me for a whole month, and whose to say that this is the first time," you replied to him angrily.

"well..." jungkook spoke out, trying to find a way to justify himself. but even he knew this was unjustifiable. "well, maybe if you wasn't so clingy i wouldn't have done that," he said, finishing his sentence off.

"so now it's my fault?" you ask him "it's my fault you can't keep your dick in your pants," you added, astonished by this complete bullshit.

"well, yeah," he said uneasily.

"get the fuck out!" you yell at him "go on, run after your slut," you added pointing towards the door. you couldn't believe he'd done this to you, how could he ever do this to you?

he just stood there, not moving at all. "okay then..." you say quietly walking out the kitchen and into your shared bedroom.

"what are you doing?" he asks you, after following you into the room. but he already had an idea of what was going on, you was leaving him, and honestly he couldn't blame you at all. what he did was inexcusable and revolting. how could he have done this to the women he loved more then anything?

"what does it look like? i'm obviously leaving," you replied sassily pushing a few clothes into a small-ish bag.

"please... don't leave," he said quietly, knowing it wouldn't change anything. you ignored him and shoved right past him, not even acknowledging his existence. he didn't even try and stop you from walking away, he just watched you.

he watched you walk out of your 'shared' house. he watched you walk out his life... forever.

he stood there and whispered to himself; "i need to get her back,". and he though, that's what my heart wants but i need to give her time. time for this wound to heal, that's if it ever will.

"i just wish," he spoke out "i wish to run to that place, in the direction that my heart is leading to," he added, sitting on the floor. "in the direction of her, once again. just one day...".

Welp, we got the low-down on Goops & Dee. It's practically obligatory to ask at this point: What's Virus' story? Why does he call himself "Virus"? How was his jaw broken? What was he trying to ultimately accomplish? ("You KNOW the fate of the timelines! You KNOW what I'm doing is the only way to stop it!" - Virus during [RESCUE]) He acknowledged that Sans and Papyrus were his sons, HOW COULD HE KILL PAPYRUS AND NEARLY KILL SANS?! Why use Dee? I KNOW THAT'S A LOT TO ASK BUT PLS I GOTTA KNOW! ;~;

AGAIN, IDK IF I’M TOO COHERENT RIGHT NOW BUT I’M GONNA TRY MY BEST TO ANSWER!

I feel like I can’t write down Virus’ motivations right atm, and I’m sorry about that! I tried it on the last ask sent to me, and I feel like I mADE NO SENSE? sobs...

But what I feel I CAN answer right at the moment is his background! And how his jaw was broken, along for his reasoning on destroying the timeline!

You see, Virus is, in many ways, very much unstable. His mind is constantly being filled with the voices of the souls he absorbed, all screaming for help at once, in agony, corrupting his thoughts, driving him mad, and destroying many of his thoughts into a mess of anger, anguish, and a need to destroy everything around him in desperation. The power the souls have given him have too corrupted him. He is in a constant need, and urgency for more power, and at the same time, an urgency to let out all the extra power out in destruction and chaos. The magic he absorbed is literally so much, it drips out of him. That’s what drips out of his eyes and mouth. Like a burst vessel in his eyes if he were human, the magic pours out of him from it not being able to be contained in his body. This is also why, whenever he implants his own magic (the strings!) onto his victims, their magic pours out as well. He has so much of it, whenever he transfers any, his lack of control of it shows, and it overflows the bodies of his victims. It’s how you can tell if Virus is controlling someone too! Their mouths and eyes will overflow with magic!

And now for his backstory:

Virus was born into a small farming town back at the surface. He was born only a few years into the human vs monsters war. The farming town was owned by a single human family, a very famous and wealthy one at that! When the war started, the demand for goods from them increased, and the workload was so much, that Virus’ parents had to focus mostly on work. They looked after Virus, but it wasn’t really enough. Virus grew detached from them, not having many fond memories to share with them, but not really having any bad ones to resent them for. They were just the ones who kept him alive. That’s as much as he knew. He never really knew a family’s love from them. Now, they were not neglectful or bad parents, but they were very much distant from working day in and day out. They were paid well enough to compensate for the extra work, and were well off, but not very attentive to their son.

Around when Virus was 8 to 10 years old (in human years), the small village was attacked. The humans who attacked killed all monsters they could find, and any humans who tried to protect them. They were traitors to them, and were going to be dealt with as such. Virus, however, managed to escape when his father fought off some of the attackers, keeping them at bay while his mother created a safe escape for Virus. He was instructed to run with the other survivors to the home of the village’s owners. He was to inform them of the attack, and stay there for sanctuary. Virus did manage to escape, but not before clearly witnessing the destruction of the village from not too far away.

Virus escaped, along with other villagers, to the mansion of the village’s patrons. They were all welcomed in, and Virus found out that the family had actually been hiding monsters under the mansion, in what was basically a giant bunker, keeping them away from the war, and the humans who wanted to destroy them. All their lives they had lived peacefully along side monsters, and refused to join in their slaughter.

Out of all the monsters who managed to escape the village’s eradication, Virus was the only child. The only minor, to be exact. Seeing this, the mistress of the house took him in as one of his own. His whole life had been mundane and uneventful, and it seemed like the sudden, extreme violence had shaken him to the core. He had no one who could explain this to him, no one who would keep by his side and comfort him... He had no one left. No family, no friends, no nothing. This only made Lady Evangeline, the mistress, feel for him more, and she took it upon herself to be there for the small child. She had children of her own around the same age, and she was sure he would fit right in with them.

Lady Evangeline found tutors who also sided with protecting monsters, and she hired them to teach her children and Virus. This is when they discovered that Virus had a very good lil’ head for science, and they started to specialize his lessons on science. Virus couldn’t be happier about this, and he began to grow attached to Lady Evangeline from all his gratitude to her. She had been the first person to show him love, and the only one who had cared for him the way she did. She was the only real mother figure he had ever had, and he loved her as strongly as he would love a mother. She became his savior, his family, his reasons to keep living....

And so, when they were found out to have been hiding and aiding monsters, their home was raided. In the attack, many monsters fought back, but were not able to kill any of the humans. Their magic wasn’t strong enough. Just like in Goop’s timeline, monsters in this one did not possess battle magic by nature. They were not able to fight back the humans, and they killed many of the monsters... along with Lady Evangeline and her husband. While they were being attacked, and the children tried to escape, Virus found out that they had been discovered when the eldest son had been convinced by their army that monsters were not to be trusted, and had to be eliminated or locked away permanently. Blinded by rage upon hearing this, Virus attacked the eldest son. Knowing fully well that his magic wasn’t strong enough to kill a human tho, Virus used his new knowledge of human anatomy, and drove a fire-iron straight into his chest, puncturing his heart instantly. The other children were terrified, and tried to stop Virus, but his anger had not subsided. He was still angry, enraged by discovering this, and now fully convinced that humans were not to be trusted. Humans had taken everything from him, his home, his family, and now they had turned against their own mother, the light of his life, and gotten her killed. She was murdered by her own kin. Humans were nonredeemable in his eyes, and so, he locked the remaining children in the mansion as it was set ablaze in the attacks. To anyone outside of this, the children were victims of the human’s attacks. They were killed like all other human-sympathizers. They were not killed by monster kind... and Virus could wipe the blood off his hands.

Virus then joined the monster army. He was young, but everyone could see he was a powerful monster, and a worthy ally. He joined their ranks, training monsters to increase their magic, and became known as a ferocious, strict, and very intelligent commander and strategist. While no monsters had been able to kill humans yet, thanks to Virus, a lot of them had been stopped. He had turned many humans against each other and watched as they eliminated one another. Monsterkind feared him, but were grateful to him either way. He was one of their strongest officers... But the war was still lost in the end.

When monsters were locked in the underground, Virus began to create many experiments in their new home. He locked himself away from other monsters, only communicating with other officers he respected from the war. His experiments were always eccentric, but beneficial to monsters living in the underground. Thanks to him, and his commands over those who still followed him, they created many things, and had technology more advanced than they had ever seen from humans. It took decades, centuries even, before Virus successfully created the Core. It was here when he was named the Royal Scientist, and his experiments were funded by the Royal family. Virus began to create monsters with powerful magic, his first experiments being nothing but failures to him. One had magic unlike that of any boss monster, but could die at any given moment, and the other one had a body with inmensurable endurance, but what seemed like subpar magic to Virus. He kept these two experiments, however, as references and as something to extract magic and resources from when creating other monsters. He named them Sans and Papyrus.

Eventually, Virus managed to make monsters stronger, but it wasn’t enough. He knew that humans would find them again, and when the time for it came, he needed them all to be prepared. He began to experiment on innocent monsters, some who had fallen, and others in secret. He made them powerful, their magic beyond what monsters had ever known before... But when the first human fell, he realized monsters were not the same anymore. The king and queen had taken the fallen human as one of their own, and had no intention of killing it. In fact, they had declared that this human would be the one chosen to bring peace between humans and monsters! Virus was enraged by this, not wanting to give the idea even the slightest bit of a chance. To him, humans were rotten creatures, and seeing the traces of what appeared to be evil in this human, his beliefs did not weaver.

Virus continued on with his experiments, and soon enough became feared by everyone... But before the Royal Family could put a stop to him, the events of Chara and Asriel’s deaths happened, and the king came to a conclusion. He would allow Virus’ experiments to continue if he could show that monster kind would be able to destroy humanity once they escaped. Virus very much reassured him of this... And so, he became that who monsters would fear among them, the man of many warnings, but their last hope at the same time.

Eventually, however, Virus had gone too far with his experiments. He created a machine that would allow him to look past everything, past their future, and past their own reality. Virus created a rift to the Void. The Void that connected every timeline, and that allowed him to access them and watch them without direct interference. Virus then realized that he could take his goals further. Not only could he use this to bypass the barrier and destroy humanity, but he could destroy them from every timeline he had access to. But would he be able to? Would he be strong enough to do so? No... From his observations on other timelines, one monster would not be enough. Not one monster could fight humanity at their current state. If he were to do this, he would need to become stronger. Stronger than any monster had ever been before. Stronger than anything the world had ever seen... and this is when he witnessed Flowey. In the timelines he could see, in a distant future, Flowey would absorb the souls of the humans and become strong enough to tear reality. Virus knew what he had to do.

Virus approached the King, informing him of his plans, his intentions, while fully believing the King still wanted the destruction of humanity. He could use the souls they had now to become strong, to become a god, and destroy any trace of humanity from any timeline... However, Asgore had now regretted his plans of revenge on humanity, and seeing Virus’ plans horrified him. He could not believe that Virus would want to take his revenge so far... It was beyond horrifying to him, and he was set on stopping him... He declared he would stop him, and upon seeing this, Virus was both enraged and disappointed. But he wasn’t going to be stopped... Not by Asgore, not by any monster. Not by anyone. Now being able to stand up to Asgore’s magic with his own experiments being used on himself as well, Virus managed to defeat Asgore... He managed to kill Asgore.

Virus took the human souls, and approached the rift. He was going to absorb them, he was going to destroy humanity, and he was going to tear all the others from humanity’s influence forever. Upon seeing him absorb the green soul, Sans and Papyrus, who had been kept in the lab most of their lives, tried to reason with him, tried to stop him, but were not getting anywhere. In their desperation, Sans took one of the souls, which prompted Virus to attack them. These two were nothing to him. They were only failed experiments, and they were but a smear in his otherwise perfect list of successful experiments. He first attacked Sans, cracking his skull with one fierce hit, driving his fist inside the other’s skull. When he witnessed this, Papyrus grabbed the cyan soul, and tried to use it to heal Sans while Virus recoiled from the green soul fighting back against him. He seemed to be losing control of himself, the power of the souls being stronger than Virus could have imagined. While he struggled, Sans had absorbed the cyan soul, and it aided him in fighting back against Virus. As Virus launched an attack, enraged by seeing Sans taking one of the souls, Sans attacked him, throwing a large attack against Virus, knocking him towards the edge of the Core into the rift, and shattering part of his skull. Virus, however, managed to grab onto Papyrus as he fell, smashing the skeleton’s head against the railings, and killing him instantly. As Papyrus began to dust, however, Virus used the power of the soul he had absorbed on the rift, which in return, corrupted it. The corruption spread across his timeline, loading, saving, and deleting all at once with the soul’s power, corrupting it beyond repair. His timeline began to tear apart, everything coded into it being affected by the corruption, and in a flash, the timeline was destroyed. Virus entered the Void, having only been able to absorb one soul, and losing all the remaining ones to the corruption.

It was here where he discovered something else. In the Void, there were many like him. There were other W.D. Gasters. Even with all his efforts to change everything, he had suffered the same fate all versions of him did. He was sent into a hell he could not escape from, and was fated to disappear like all others like him... Except... Virus was stronger than them. He was stronger than all of them! None of those who he met in the time he was stuck there had magic like his own... And he soon began to jump into other timelines. He began to steal souls from them, but the souls had begun to corrupt him as well. The same damage that affected his timeline had scarred him, and the increasing magic from the souls was making it worse each time he took another. Soon, upon entering timelines, that same corruption began to follow him. When he entered the new timelines, his twisted code would destroy everything he touched, and had costed him the destruction of souls before he could get to them. This is when Virus realized he needed something else. A proxy. Someone who he could use to enter the timelines and do his bidding for him. Someone who he could trick and manipulate into following his every command... Someone weak, someone who could believe his lies... But someone strong enough that would not become disposable...

And so, he found Dee. The perfect puppet to follow his every command... And he was successful in doing just that.

About Jimin. I have some thoughts on Slytherin!Jimin and why I think he fits there so perfectly. These are just my personal opinions, coming from a die-hard Hufflepuff and someone who has been a Harry Potter fan since the second book came out when I was in the second grade and if you don’t agree that’s totally cool, but I really really think

Jimin is a perfect Slytherin.

First, I think I’ve finally pinpointed the reason why so many people are against Slytherin Jimin. I’ve seen it in arguments on other mediums and all of the social platforms when the post-it first came to light and I’ve seen it only being reinforced in the tags on my HP AU. And a lot of this blame lies on how JK herself wrote Slytherins in the series:

A lot of people still think Slytherins are inherently mean, cold people.

Or that they only look out for themselves, are too cut-throat, step on the little people to get to the top, and the like. In the books, save for like… a handful of characters, they are portrayed this way. I mean… in the battle of hogwarts the entirety of the school was like ‘NAUGHTY SLYTHERINS GET THE DUNGEON TREATMENT!’ bc a small portion had family members who were death eaters. People assumed they were the bad guys. Even in the first book, Ron says “There wasn’t a wizard who went bad who wasn’t in Slytherin”, reinforcing the idea that Slytherins are, at heart, ticking time bombs waiting to go evil.

The fact that people think Jimin is ‘too nice’ or ‘too kind’ or ‘too sweet’ to be in Slytherin is really… worrisome. It makes me wonder – people are really quick to sort Yoongi in to Slytherin and have next to no problems with it, but suddenly Jimin is too nice to be there? What are you trying to say about poor Yoongi here??? omg

It’s true that some characteristics Slytherins tend to share are personality traits seen in typical villain characters, but I think we tend to take Hogwarts houses’ traits a little too black and white. People can be in one house and still share traits with other houses, or be in a house and not represent it at all:

Hermione, she was considered the brightest witch of her age. She got top marks and was incredibly intelligent. But she wasn’t in Ravenclaw?

Harry was SUPPOSED to be in Slytherin, and the biggest damn reason he wasn’t was because he specifically asked the hat not to put him there. Dumbledore even told Harry that he possesses all the characteristics of a Slytherin.

Peter Pettigrew was put in Gryffindor – but he was a coward who ratted out his friends, causing their horrific murder and really like the whole plot of HP

Lockehart was a Ravenclaw, but the only thing he was exceptionally skilled in were memory charms, other than that he’s shown as being kind of an idiot

Horace Slughorn, a Slytherin, who on the surface displayed many traits of Slytherins like “collecting” students to further his reputation – actually deeply, deeply cared for those students. He cared especially for Lily Potter, a muggleborn. And he fought in the Battle of Hogwarts!

All those asshole Hufflepuffs, who are supposed to show kindness and fairness to those even outside their house, bullying Harry when he ‘took’ the spotlight away from Cedric in the Triwizard Tournament?

Not all Slytherins are assholes. Not even most of them are. Why would people put up with an entire house of asswipes? They wouldn’t. omg

okay cool thanks for the lore lesson but what does this have to do with Jimin

Slytherins, by definition,

tend to be ambitious, shrewd, cunning, strong leaders, and achievement-oriented. They also have highly developed senses of self-preservation. This means that Slytherins tend to hesitate before acting, so as to weigh all possible outcomes before deciding exactly what should be done.

So like, looking at it closer:

ambitious, shrewd, cunning

Jimin pursued a career as an idol, he trained as a dancer, he’s a natural born performer on stage. I mean you can see his drive and ambition in every performance he does. He’s a perfectionist, and he doesn’t settle for anything less than that. Who else do we know is a perfectionist when it comes to their craft who is also in Slytherin? Also, trainee days are a cut-throat business. He was in a group where people were getting added and cut left and right. He had to have some cunning and sense of self-preservation to keep himself around and not get eaten alive/walked all over.

They also have highly developed senses of self-preservation. This means that Slytherins tend to hesitate before acting, so as to weigh all possible outcomes before deciding exactly what should be done.

Jimin is an extremely calculating guy, much like his Slytherin-brethren Yoongi. He’s extremely socially conscious, look at how upset and flustered he was on King of Masked Singer when he fucked up with properly addressing his sunbae. He’s grown up a lot since his debut days and he doesn’t do or say anything without thinking it through VERY HARD first. He isn’t really known for doing or saying anything problematic. He’s got a pretty squeaky clean history. Unlike other members who sometimes don’t always think as much as they should before they say something, Jimin (and Yoongi to an extent, save for one pre-debut tweet that got him in trouble) knows when to keep things to himself.

JIMIN IS A GOD DAMN HECKIN SHOW OFF. And the most Slytherin aspect of it all is that when he does do something, he expects you to damn well recognize it. Yeah, Jimin having a praise kink is a joke but…. is it? I mean really…. is it?

“Jimin you’re cute!” “Yeah I’m aware.”

“You’re so pretty!” “I’ve always been pretty, tell me something I don’t know”

(Never forget that time on ASC when that girl said Jimin was his favorite and he literally got up from his seat to show how smug he was. Funny how his understanding of English suddenly becomes second to none when someone is praising him.)

Even when something isn’t about him, you better damn well make it about him. He sees someone else getting complimented and he’s like, wait – what about me?
