imagine if rafe and pogue reader’s relationship was just a bet between him and his kook friends, to see if he could ACTUALLY get her to fall in love with him, like to get her to be all over him and how long that would last, and the reader finds out omgggg. And they break up lol

you think the ending bits of the conversation between your boyfriend and his friends hurts more than everything you just overheard.

"you really think i'd settle for some fuckin' pogue pussy? nah man, top owes me fifty bucks now."

you hadn't heard the entire exchange, just from the part where you heard your name. stupidly, like a naive girl in love with the type of boy she'd only ever dreamt about, you tuned in, thinking rafe was telling his friends something you'd want to hear.

hiding—as embarassing as it is—behind the wall, holding back tears though they don't care enough to stay held back, they pour down your cheeks as the hits keep coming. the boys laugh, but the ringing in your ears had been so loud you hadn't heard the rest of the joke, didn't understand what was so funny.

the first thought in your mind is that you can't believe how stupid you were. the second is that pope and jj and john b had all been right, that it was too good to be true, that he was playing you somehow, that he was a liar and scumbag. you had ignored what your best friends had been telling you, trying so hard to believe that they were wrong, that they didn't know rafe, or at least your rafe, the one who was sweet and funny and never let you drive anywhere or pay for a thing, the one who paraded you around town like you were something who deserved to be showed off, the one who you took back to your tiny house and introduced to your hard-working parents.

you resist the urge to slide down the wall you're leaning against, though every muscle in your body wants to keel over and cry until you can't cry anymore.

you'd been embarassed enough—they didn't need to see you like this too. wiping away tears with the back of your hand, sniffling but trying to stay quiet, you wait for the boys to walk away so you could sneak out of here and pretend that you'd never even come—though you'd only come because rafe said he was having friends over and you'd baked them some snacks for their game, thought you were being a good girlfriend and doing the things a good girlfriend does.

footsteps and laughter echo in the other room—they're gone. the second it's silent, a sob wrangles itself out, eyes getting blurry again. you don't know how you're gonna bike home if you can't stop crying. your fingers fly across your screen, dialing jj's number. you'd been upset at the blond because he seemed to be the most against you and rafe dating, had the meanest things to say and was the first to insinuate there was something wrong if rafe wanted to date you.

you'd been so insulted, so hurt by his words that the two of you had gone from talking every single day to maybe once a week. you hope he doesn't hold it against you now, but a part of you knows jj never would—that's just the kind of guy he is. he answers by the second ring, and you try to stay quiet, just incase they hear you.

"j? can you come get me? i-um, i'm at tannyhill-" the last part is said with another sob, breaking into a fit of tears again. he says he's with pope and that he's coming, and you hate that they heard you cry, because knowing the two of them they'll go thirty over if they think you're upset. you wanna get out of here, but you don't want them to die.

heart thudding, eyes watery, limbs weak, you stay against that wall for a moment. before you can make your way to the door, rafe's figure steps in to where you are. he sees you before you see him—shoulders shaking, hands wiping away tears.

when you turn to look at him, it doesn't take more a second to know you heard something you shouldn't have.

"hey, listen to me-" he gets closer, and you flinch, backing away. you want to say something mean, something snarky, something that'll hurt him as much as he's hurt you. nothing comes out, and you stare back at him, and you hope he remembers how hard he's made you cry, because you've decided it then and there—you're never seeing rafe cameron ever again.

you dart past him to the door. he follows, reaching out to grab you, but you take off, running down his driveway and into the truck he recognizes as heyward's. you get in, in between pope and jj. the last thing he sees is you crying into maybank's chest while they drive you away, and the last thing he thinks is wondering what the hell he had just done.

He is quite mesmerized by your wings, they have such a beautiful, bright, luminescent red, they sparkle and shine in the sunlight as if they were made of stained glass, their movements are elegent as well, wether you're using them to fly, just standing idle, or walking, your wings seem to always be moving or fluttering... He wonders what they feel like... are they soft? rough? what kind of texture do they have? are they sensitive? He must learn more.

"Reader... Could I touch your wings?" Riddle asks suddenly, in the middle of your study session.

"Hm? My wings? Why do you ask?" You ask back, what made him so curious, you wonder...

"Well... I just haven't seen anything like them before! I would... like to learn more about wings like this, so... I thought asking you would help..." He answered, his face filled with blush from embarassment, you giggle slightly at him.

"Well then, in that case, go ahead. They aren't very sensitive, so don't worry about that." You say, as you extend your wings for him, you can feel him gently put a gloveless hand on them, feeling their scaly, tough texture, he examined them as if they were an artifact as a museum. "They're beautiful, aren't they?" you ask him, he replies with a content hum, as he touches the scales with the utmost care. Most butterflies he had seen have fragile wings, but yours are tough. it amazes him how unique you are.

Leona

He'd most likely not care about them that much, all he really cares about is laying on your lap and falling asleep... Although... Curiousity does kill the cat, so he eventually gives in and starts thinking things like, "How do herbivores wings work?" or "Are the wings soft enough to sleep comfortably on?"

Of course, he can't just ask you, that would be to embarassing for him... so instead he tends to examine them from afar. He's noticed that your wings have a bright luminescent orange color, and are quite big in size, he can slightly see the rough, scaly texture through the sunlight that reflects off of them, they're also very lively, moving softly in the wind or fluttering through the air... at the end of the day, all the questions are answered, "No, they are not soft enough to sleep on" and "They work like regular butterfly wings, nothing special" and thats all... until he wants to get a closer look, so he gives in and demands asks to touch them.

"Oi, herbivore, let me see your wings." he demands asks.

"My wings? Uhhm... okay?" you comply, extending your wings, he touches them and examines them, while you stare at him confused. He feels the rough, scaly texture against his finger, and the strength of your wings was more than average for a butterfly... these things could knock someone out if you wanted them to.

"Are you really that curious about my wings, Leona-senpai?" you ask, he lets out a grunt and just keeps examining them, he win't admit... but he quite likes them.

Azul

Ah, yes... the beautiful butterfly of Night Raven... your name runs through the school like running water following a strong current. He's quite intrested in them, and has even thought about making a contract with you so he can take them for himself borrow them. he knows from the times he has seen you, that your wings are a beautiful violet with black viens, like a monarch butterfly... but make it purple. He sometimes has the twins report your daily life to him.

"Greetings, Reader!" He greets as he approaches behind you, he usual smug expression.

"Hm? Oh... Azul... hello." You greet him back, "What brings you here?" you ask him.

"Well, I was quite curious about your wing like apphendanges, would you be so kind as to indulge me in some information?" He asks formally, with his smug smile.

"Well... you can touch them... if that helps." you offer, as you extend your large wings.

"Are you sure? I would not wish to harm them..." he sighs.

"They're not sensitive, and they're quite strong, so... go ahead." you smile, he takes off one of his gloves and gently touches one of them, feeling the scaly texture and toughness.

He thinks they're so pretty!! The deep red color, the black veins and edges, how sparkly they are... he loves it all! He asks to touch them often, because he thinks they're just so cool!

"Readerrrr! Can I touch your wings again?" He asks you, a big smile on his face as he ran in to hug you.

"Hehehe! But of course you can! here!" you smile as you extend your wings for him, he traces his finger along all the veins carefully, feeling the scaly, tough texture of your wings, he admires the beautiful red in which they are... The boy finds them so pretty, he'll never leave you alone about it.

Vil

Such beauty... he has never seen anything like it! the way they sparkle... their beautiful purple color... it mesmerizes him everytime you walk in the room. He helps you put together matching outfits and makeup looks to go with your wings, sparkly purple dress, purple eyeshadow, purple nails... he goes all out with it when you let him. He finds the scaly texture quite... rough... He knows its natural for butterfly wings to have such a texture, but he just doesn't really like the feeling of them... I feel he'd like smoother textures rather than rough scaly ones (same) so he doesn't touch them often, but he enjoys admiring them like an art piece at a museum.

"Which dress would you like to try today, dear? This one without the straps, or this one with the flowing sleeves?"

"I quite like the one with the flowing sleeves! I feel like it would match the wings more!"

"Good choice, darling! Now... for that makeup for yours... let's get you all dolled up!"

He likes the wings a lot! He might try to convince you to cosplay some of his favorite characters if they have wings, he also likes the pretty bright cyan color they have... so shiny and pretty... matches the dorm too!

He has a slight tendancy to fall asleep in your wings. Despite the scaly texture, they're super warm when wrapped around him like a blanket, making it all the more comfortable.

"He vallues his sense of honor/morals/what's right over his relationship with Mai" HOW IS THAT BAD????????? Uncle Iroh gave Zuko the cold shoulder after the Ba Sing Se fiasco, does that mean he does not love Zuko? To properly show you love someone you can't have a mind and voice of your own?

This person is either 13-years-old or the kind that doesn't understand not every romance in fiction needs to be "I'll give up on literally EVERYTHING ELSE just for you" - hell, I like that kind of romance a lot, but not all love stories need to be that.

That's part of what makes Maiko feel more realistic as a romance to me. Zuko was banished and had to see a different side of the world, Mai wasn't. Zuko is a person that naturally NEEDS to speak, or shout, his mind, while Mai was taught to basically blend into the background.

Of course they're gonna have disagreements. Of course they won't always be on the same page. Of course their idea of what their relationship and life, both as couple and individuals, should be like.

That doesn't mean they can't find a middle ground, or realize the other was right, or go "I have no fucking clue why this means so much to you, but I love you and trust your judgement."

Zuko and Mai had a ton of issues, but they worked through them - that's a far more solid foundation for a relationship, both IRL and in fiction, than one that is based purely on infactuation and never has to be tested.

As for the "he broke up with her over-text" come on, he had good reason. Mai had never given any indication that she wanted to change sides and was friends with Azula. If Zuko broke up with her in person she could have done something to try and stop him. He couldn't aford that - there's a reason he only confronted Ozai at the last second, with the fucker unable to firebend.

And for him "never sparing a thought for her" - we see the flashbacks of Zuko alone that clearly foreshadow their romance. It was HIS memories. He had not seen her in at least 3 whole years yet the time his sister pulled a prank on them both to embarass Mai for having a crush on him still stuck. He also brought her up when talking to Sokka, when he didn't know he was about to see her again.

Zuko didn't bring up Aang basically offering to be his friends in book 1 for the longest time, yet he still clearly remembered it. He did not bring up Azula until the season 1 finale, but he clearly remembered he had a sister. He never explicitly talked about his mother to ANYONE until the day of the eclipse, and we only see her in two episodes, and once again none of it was in book 1, but he still clearly loved her.

The characters don't need to bring up everything that is important to them in every single episode to show that they care because good stories tend to assume the audience doesn't have amnesia.

ex delinquent Sayuri, Satsuma knows about it and knows she can easily beat him up

masaru and chika are unaware about it and just think that their mom was in some kind of school club that involve fighting or something

This energized me for the day, so please have these doodles and a new AU/personal HC

So this is the Sayuri ex-Deliquent thing; my personal little HC for it is that she and Satsuma are actually childhood friends (neighbors, probably) and that Sayuri and Suguru met in school, and clashed heads (a lot like our two beloved boys in the modern era....) (thie little chibis of the main trio represent their mirror for the back in time AU trio) Rentarou (calling him by first name feels sacrilegious, but it feels even weirder if I don't bc I refer to the other two by first name LMAO) does have a crush on Sayuri, but it's the type of thing that passes/is dealt with as they get older, bc he respects her and Suguru. He is very very much the one that kinda reigns them both in, but also gets dragged along. Suguru is a doctor, which is why he's being deligated Smartie Pants role; after all, Touma is a genius but also loves to box and isn't a weakling, so I figure Suguru is similar. Suyuri is very rambunctious; I think she's not only a regular delinquent, but definitely one of those girls that don't want to be looked down on for being a girl. So she likes to be tough and fight like the boys, and she doesn't take it well when someone (coughcough Suguru coughcough) criticizes her because he means well- the only person she kinda listens to is Rentarou, because he's her childhood friend. Suguru is fairly polite, actually; he's not an overly violent guy and while strong and athletic, has a more passive personality where he tries to solve things with words. It's Sayuri that later changes that mindset a bit, and gets him to enjoy and see the merits of talking with one's fists LMAO (so a good influence!). Rentarou comes from a strict, law enforcement family and he is under a lot of pressure to do good; his family isn't fond of Sayuri given her delinquency, but they're friends and there is no stopping that. He often feels more refreshed and encouraged after spending time with her, which is one of the reasons he develops a crush on her. Suguru and Sayuri try to avoid each other, and get into fights and arguments nearly any time they DO see each other- but then they keep getting into silly shenanigans (with poor Rentarou dragged along one way or another) I kinda want them to find out abt Digimon around this time, but I'll delve into it later.

Sayuri is a little embarassed about her past? She was quite a bit worse than Masaru; yes he gets into street fights but he's also good about chores, caring for his sister and trying to do right by her- he doesn't skip as much school as she had, and usually she can find a valid reason why. Embarassment aside, she wasn't going to let Masaru tackle the world without knowing proper technique, and Suguru left too early to really teach him (but late enough to get him riled up, and you know Sayuri gave him an earful abt that when he came back LOL) She lets her kids believe whatever, not really ready to tell them she was a wild child herself. (Chika later finds out; Masaru does not and Chika is both excited she knows something Masaru doesn't know, but sad she can't share her findings, given they theorized about it) Sayuri of course chilled out and became softer as she got older, but it was mostly when she got her kids that she really calmed down. She wanted to be someone that they could tell mistakes to, who they could be honest with, etc etc., But when Masaru or Chika get out of line, there's a certain edge to her voice that definitely has their backs straightening. This is a really fun AU and I bet you weren't expecting me to want to delve into it but I 10/10 will. This is gripping me by the THROAT what have you DONE to me.

"WHAT'S THAT ?" very suddenly no prompting. we love a unsubtlety queen. if they have any sort of elaborate reason you care abt em a whole lot then he's happy to hear if you wanna share !! might not have too much to say but he'll definitely listen. despite how loud he can be i think he's a fan of just hanging out and listening to you at times. he can't do it SUPER often just by virture of the near endless energy this guy's got but . there's definitely a few nights where he'll just lean against you while you go on abt something. he's pretty quiet and his shaking seems to dull for a time. it serves as a nice rest before you two do some crazy shit again.

i have A Lot of thoughts on krbk as a dynamic bc i take issue with how it is portrayed but i think the best way to describe your relationship to them is sooo very hot and cold. like dfjsksd it is so stressful in the sense that you NEVER know what your relationship standing is with them completely. every time you see them its something new.

It feels like every time she opens her mouth, it results in some long-winded rant and at this point, she's resigned herself to the fact that Eren is never going to speak to her again.

Annie attempts to defend herself this time, "We just umm we both like cheeseburgers--" "I don't care, they're unhealthy, and look at him, he's pale," Mikasa gestures wildly to Eren, poking his cheek, "You know what he needs?" Annie swallows, shaking her head and Mikasa is triumphant as she snaps right back, "Seafood! Fish if filled with omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, it's an important source of protein and minerals too! You see his pallour, he needs iron, he needs potassium, he needs fish--" And then, there is nothing more as Eren begins dragging her away, throwing Annie a sheepish smile over his shoulder and telling her he'll see her later.

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth if people would use a labour of love of mine to say "hey look there's something good here", I know there is something good there - but the CEO and his unquestionably stupid decisions makes the game impossible to talk about. I'm gonna be honest as far as boycotts go you and I probably know people who play league, overwatch or cod or something (maybe) or play something from a company with just as bad of practices that are either not as publicised or simply too far in the past for people to care.

I don't expect people to boycott nor do I think it's the bare minimum standard, people I know, especially those with larger platforms refuse to post about it even if they do play it or still keep up with it but yeah it's basically branded as a game now because of the controversy.

The thing about boycotts a lot of the time and I know this will be kind of bizarre to hear but I think they're very aesthetic in nature in that a lot of people usually clamour for them when they have less stakes in the matter so it's much easier to put pressure on others to do something they would not do for League (Riot Games), or Overwatch (Activision Blizzard).

This exact scenario has actually arisen with people talking about the game in that way and honestly it's not even like a what-aboutism kind of thing it's like, people really do not truly care about the ethics of the situation a lot of the time and many others simply do not know when they make their game-playing decisions, so it's really difficult to get mad about in most cases. That said, this game is niche enough where people probably know, but I wont assume their reasons for playing. Some people, however, are reveling in the backlash about the game bc they're not real fans or something for being upset about seemingly capitulating to reactionaries. This exchange I saw earlier honestly boggled my mind lmao - when the dog whistle is loud as fuck.

We don't have the complete facts, but unlike the nuance enjoyers on youtube & twitter that doesn't automatically mean I'm obligated to financially support a company because I obviously am concerned about the broader company and their job security.

On one hand it makes me frustrated beyond all belief that the decision makers (because lets be real falsely assigning blame to the artists, programmers, writers etc. at pmoon that aren't in a decision making role) are stupid that their art has to be undermined. Yeah, I don't doubt that there is more to the situation but if you make a tweet saying "we didn't do shit and we will sue u lol" and then announce a new banner the next day of course people are going to think you're a slimy company.

I'll put it like this anon: I might enjoy LCorp & Ruina privately at the very least, but Limbus is probably the most embarassing piece of media to be openly associated with, especially when you have people reveling in that a lot of women & lgbt+ members are going to be "filtered out" of the company by what they're reductively describing as "drama". Whether people boycott or not is up to them, but I'm waiting to see if they just brush it aside and pretend like nothing happened over time - I won't spend or post about the game, but I expect we won't actually see a genuine resolution until Canto IV ends and they realized that they didn't actually net anything from firing the artist or capitulating to an audience that will just as soon threaten their financial stability the moment they're validated for having achieved this outcome once before.

It's completely embarassing to be an open project moon fan right now, and honestly I could care less whose comfort media it is, I don't really care what they post or like - for me personally, this ordeal is so shameful that a video I worked hundreds of hours on is probably never seeing the light of day. For LCorp & Ruina fans specifically I feel for them because it's not like they could've ever foreseen that this whole gacha endeavour would send everything up in smoke.

As for being Project Moon's strongest soldier (joking), I have less than zero interest in promoting their work until I have a decent confidence of vellmori's side (which I suspect is not even known because of either unknown factors, or a generic NDA that prevents them from commenting on their contract termination, not that unusual, especially if some kind of severance package is offered alongside it). Basically, I don't want to do any heavy lifting, even though I don't have that big of an audience, it just feels gross to bring them money when KR fans are outwardly begging other fanbases to stop playing and whether you do or not is up to you, but I'm personally just waiting till they shoot themselves in the foot enough times to completely walk away from this community/world. I do think that expecting everyone to express a deep remorse about a situation they did not create nor can they really control for the time being and self-flagellate about it is stupid though.

Before I start, I just wanted to say that my academic year starts tomorrow so I'll be probably less active (not that I'm super duper active here in the first place lol). I tried. It's more complicated with physical affection but when it comes to compliments etc he has way less shame. Hells yeah he will compliment others a lot, like "Yes, this painting is amazing!" and "Sunil stop, this was genuinely incredible", "Let's fucking gooooooo!" So yeah, he compliments others a lot, because they need to know how great they are, goddammit! When it comes to touching though, he's way more hesitant and won't initiate it that often. If someone else does however, he will never be the one to let go first because he's got that comfirmation that this someone wants it since they started it, and he loves physical affection so much, he's going to prolong it as much as possible. In fact, once he's this comfortable you might need to use your whole strenght to make him let go, he's not strong himself but damn he's determined. The one kind of it that he doesn't hesitate about it giving pats as well as sitting on his friends' shoulders etc (so like Minka). 5. Sunil. Needs a bit more of a reason to be affectionate, but absolutely can. He's just a bit reserved, likes being affectionate to others and loves being on to receiving end, it can help him calm down and feel like he's not alone. Him giving it is mostly limited to the ones he's closest to, so his friends but his parents as well for example. At times he can absolutely smother a selected few with affection, he just needs to be in the right mood. The one type of hug that he loves giving the most is hugging from behind since most people are shorter than he is so he can rest his head on their head or shoulder. If he's affectionate with his words he's not letting out a rush of sentences, it's usually just focused on one thing and those are usually accompanied by a happy few claps.

6. Russell. He's just not that affectionate, especially physically, it's just not his style plus he's a bit insecure about pda, in private it's fine. He likes it and all, but not as much as the previous ones. He would much rather express his affection or gratitude with words and he's used to it. As their sorta leader he's used to saying stuff like "Good job!" or "Mhm, we all managed once again." He has a tendency to hug others when he's happy though and it's mostly on instinct, he doesn't really control it. But that all makes it so much more special when he does give you physical affection, when it comes to receiving it he will be very happy but also a bit bashful, you might even see a blush.

7. Pepper. She like being on receiving end of physical or any other affection more than she lets on, she really does, she just won't say it and it's rare she will initiate it. Because of that, if let's say the hug is prolonging she will always let go first, usually accompanied by some sort of comment, like: "Alright, alright, that's enough of that mushy stuff, haha." When it comes to giving affection, for the same reasons she's hesitant and, as I said, will rarely initiate it and those will usually be patting your back or ruffling your hair. When it comes to words of affection, she will often disguise them so she won't sound "too sweet", so she won't say for example "Good job out there!" more likely it will be something like "That definitely wasn't the worst!." She genuinely means those words in a good way though and always will accompany them with a playful smile so you know that, and once you know her enough you'll realize that's just her way of complimenting others.

I'm going to start saying I'm trans so people will stop commenting about how young I look or they'll feel bad afterwards. like get a button that says "he/him" on it LOL. dye my hair or something. grow out my facial hair, sport a horrible patchy mustache and beard.

people have asked me if I'm trans before but only from seeing pictures of me, in person really I don't think I could pull it off I mean I'm boyish looking but I did go through male puberty at male puberty age so my shoulders are too broad and I'm too tall for it to seem like you know I went through female puberty and back tracked. I have masculine fat deposits lol. my hips are too narrow i have no curves. generally I'm just a little too hard or something. not muscular just sort of like what being a man is. women are so soft I love this about them. even a woman with eczema.

here is my critique of transgender men - why do they always place emphasis not on being a man but being a TRANS man. you meet transgender women they may not "pass" but you can tell that their intention is to be a woman and be seen as a woman. not a TRANS woman. and I feel like if you're trying to be seen as a man this is like, significantly easier. you literally just have to not give a shit about what you look like. shave your head, go to the gym, if you're shooting up testosterone even if you went through female puberty you should be able to gain muscle pretty easily (compared to women) and you'll get a certain hardness about you. so what is it, residual female childhood indoctrination? this emphasis placed so much on expressing yourself through appearance I mean. or not even expressing yourself but having to keep up with trends etc in order to not embarass yourself. it's really odd! if you were born male trying to be a woman it's like a lot of work you really have to research this shit, if you're born female trying to be a man it's literally non action in terms of appearance. and I've met a few trans guys who were like this, but for the most part trans guys I meet are so obsessed with being... so EFFEMINATE really, doesn't that defeat the purpose? if I was actually trans I would put effort into being like. "hey bro." "you catch the game last night?" you know what I mean? it's weird to be like dyed hair and makeup. that's not a thing men do. and if your goal is just to throw everything on its head and say to hell with gender whatever that's fine I don't care but why not be a woman while doing that? I've met lesbians who pass better without trying than many trans men do, no hormones or anything they're just being themselves. I respect that shit for real. also I'm scared of them. I'm not scared of trans men, the trans men I've met I could beat their asses no problem. not that I would but I mean if they start shit with me.
