3 crab pot!

This was one of my very first wheel-thrown objects, so the cylinder is more than a little amateurish, and also it got dinged up because I wasn't careful with my tools around it while it was wet. HOWEVER. I took a look at all the little scuffs and dings and went "I could blame this on animals!"

so I made some crabs and gave 'em little footprints all over.

The inside "floor" of the pot is blue. The glassy glaze shows the natural sandy color of the clay but coats it in a subtle sea-green.]

#man I really love how the glaze came out too :D #translucent sea-green...! so the pot looks sand-colored but with that blue glassy look like seawater!!!#and then of course inside the pot on the bottom I put a medium blue *under* the glassy glaze and it made a little “ocean” pool #aughhhh YES #ceramics #vessel #pottery #fusion vessel #this thing is SO HEAVY #and pretty large as well #I should measure it

Can't for the life of me seem to get it any thinner. Like, I have before, but only on accident and never for more than an inch or two. This isn't my finest spinning fiber (altho it seems to be mostly mohair, and is quite fine) and may or may not be my finest spinning spindle that is still full sized. So maybe I just need a finer spindle.

Left (merino and silk roving blend) was more or less the same thickness, and still feels too thick. Right may have been slightly thinner--it was flax on a mini supported, but the minis aren't great for my hands. Idk, I'm just not satisfied with the thinness I'm getting. Probably I just need more practice.
