top ten favorite bands/musicians tag game!! This is gonna be a fun one!! I will include as much genres as possible...

Metallica - This band has been a part of me for as long as I could remember. It is a huge part of my childhood, and we even have a family tradition involving this band. Their music (and Guitar Hero) shaped my music taste into what it is today. And it was through this band I met a handful of wonderful friends whom I trust, and had fond memories with. Music-wise, they're very Mid™ imo, but "... And Justice For All" is a culturally significant banger and I will die on that hill. Also I have the biggest crush on Jason Newsted, so I consider that a bias too.

Varien - We all love a diverse Queen! She's mostly electronic music, and she's certainly not limited to a certain genre. Love her sound, listening to her albums feels like opening a box of chocolates, you never know what flavor you're gonna get, but guaranteed it's a banger. I put her high up the list because, I've been listening to her music throughout my college life when I needed music to comfort me. And when she came out, it was also about the time I have found out that I am trans and nonbinary. From that point on, I began to be more comfortable with myself, and eventually made me what I am today - proud and significantly more confident than before.

Shadow Of Intent - Of all my favorite deathcore bands, I chose this one because it's the first proper deathcore band I liked. Hearing "Reclaimer" for the first time was such an experience for me, that it decided that my favorite genre should be deathcore from now on. Before that, I was listening to....

BROJOB - THE Gayest Band On Earth ™

Periphery - The band with my most looped/played music, like ever. They're a prog metal band, more specifically Djent is not a genre. Their music is so full of texture and changing emotions, it's really hard to get sick of their music on loop for weeks on end. "Absolomb", according to Spotify, I looped for 200+ times during 2021, and I have also began to play it again! So I expect "Absolomb" to make a comeback in my Spotify numbers, as well as their new song "Dying Star". Spencer Sotelo is a phenomenal vocalist, super underrated and super talented.

Cattle Decapitation - My favorite death metal band of all time, more specifically their three albums "Monolith Of Inhumanity", "The Anthropocene Extinction" and " Death Atlas". These three albums has a mixed reaction - first, it's a glaring deviation from their traditional death metal sound, that it doesn't really count as death metal albums if it weren't for the band. Second, it's such a unique sound, amplified by Travis Ryan's "new" vocal technique. Nonetheless, these albums are amazing to me.

The Cranberries - There's something so beautiful in their songs I can't properly describe. I think it's mostly Dolores O'Riordan's vocal style? But that combined with the rest of the instruments sounds beautiful to me.

Dickie Allen - Deathcore vocalist, and he's the reason why I got into extreme vocals, although, I'll never learn extreme metal vocals anyway. His sound is unique and distinct, and his range is amazing. I just think he's so cool tbh.

Pop stars Sia and Adele, amazing women, amazing vocalists. I try to sing their songs once in a while, though I'm bad at it.

selena gomez is one of taylor’s oldest and bestest friends and given that she is in the 22 liner notes, a huge part of taylor’s life, and maybe fruity herself it seems like possibly we don’t talk about her here at the blog enough!

Could you explain to me why Dress has gay connotations? I just don’t see it, and it’s been years now.

Yes I can, because that was the song that lead me down this path of sin and insanity. The year was 2017. With more marbles and brain cells and far less COVID, I sat down to listen to the album Reputation. Perhaps I poured a glass of wine first. I don’t recall. I was but a more or less normal, very casual fan who had for many years enjoyed mocking Taylor for her messy ass personal life, supposed hyperconfessionalism and regular PR kerfuffles. One of my best friends and then roommate used to, as I’ve told y’all before, blast Blank Space as a chaos anthem every time we went out. Fundamentally, though I was too cool for Taylor Swift. I was listening for like... general pop culture knowledge because my brain is a treasure trove of entertainment tidbits and gossip. I got through almost the whole album and then I heard the song Dress and I said, “what the fuck did I just listen to?” And I replayed it and I went, “Damn Blank Space. That was gay.”

And that was the fateful day I came to believe in 2+ muses, Gaylor and, I guess, Kaylor as well because my (albeit surface level but even if I’d dug) Googling brought me mostly to supermodel Karlie Kloss’s door.

So why is this song so gay? I’m not even gonna give y’all the Kaylor reading today we’re literally gonna time capsule to 2017 before I knew any of this shit and when the only thing I knew was THIS SONG WAS GAY.

And she’s saying “have sex with me because I don’t want you like a best friend” again, they’ve already fucked that was established in the first verse. Why would this be stuff you clarify with a dude? Why would a man who is fucking you get the wrong impression and assume you want to be best friends? Not friends. Best friends. Why would he think that?

And then we get the dress line. Now, I know some people are like “I dress up for my boyfriend!” and sure. But let’s all be honest. 85%+ of the time girls of any sexual orientation wear outfits out - and we established this is an out type situation - it’s for other girls to notice their fashion. Come on, you’re not expecting your dude friend to be like, “nice dress, where’d you buy it?” “Oh, this? Hahaha it’s just Zara, they were having a sale. If you hurry you might get one too!” Like there’s something inherently sapphic/feminine about discussions of buying clothing. And come on, fellow queer ladies, clothes is a great way to get a chat going.

In this song, Taylor draws attention to this feminine article of clothing she bought to wear on the night in question and instead of saying “it’s Zara” she goes “I only bought it so you could take it off” - I’m doing an eyebrow wiggle but you can’t see because I’m just text on your screen. Why would you say that to a guy? Like if you did, if you’re that girl why are you holding back from him? Y’all are fucking and you have a massive thing for him. Surely he should know by now? Why is this dress even featuring in the conversation? Like I say bringing up a dress you bought in a conversation about sex feels pretty fucking gay. The rest of the song was about the other person not being sure and that being the issue. “I don’t want you like a best friend.” So why: “I woke up just in time”? Like “if I get burned at least we were electrified” but then... “I woke up just in time” - is the rest of the song like a weird nightmare? That’s not, to me, enough of an explanation. She spends the whole song in sexy anxiety pining after someone who cares about where and why she bought her dress and then she’s like “you’re everything to me” - it doesn’t make sense.

The rest of the song is the chorus again. As I’ve said, I don’t see a hetsplanation for it.

This is a gay song. The bridge isn’t and the line about the bathtub isn’t inherently. But the rest of this song is gay af.

so essentially this is mostly for fun but also a reference point for my glee au that I only write with like 3 people in but I’m pretty much married to at this point. I’ve organized the majority of this playlist in order of what jordan tackles in the glee club for the weekly assignments + the in-between numbers she folds into her repertoire for fun / for assignments that we never saw in the show but could easily exist.

SEASON 2

I know roderick auditions with the same song in season 6 but here at traumantic productions I do whatever I want and I want jordan to pull off an unexpected audition song that secures her place among the underdogs within new directions, thank you.

episode 2, britney/brittany:     what u see (is what u get), britney spears

it’s one of jordan’s favorite britney songs and speaks to how she’s determined to stay true to who she is no matter what peoples’ perceptions of her is (even though she’s still young and finding herself)

episode 4, duets:     you really got me, the kinks/cherry bomb, the runaways

pre-determined mash-up for the breadstix dinner for two duet competition with @nostlgic‘s john bender; it’s like pulling teeth at first but eventually the two end up seeing eye to eye and pull off a performance with jordan rocking the electric guitar and channeling her inner joan jett; they don’t win but they do a damn good job regardless.

holly holiday said the glee kids can do whatever the hell they want and jordan wants to do more pop punk. also, any excuse to bust out the guitar is a good one.

I know this song came out in 2015 and the episode aired in 2011 but this would be the least terrible infraction the show has ever had with continuity, also it’s a banger of a song, also I already know the staging goes from jordan starting out singing in the choir room for the assignment and by the chorus shifts to her singing in the auditorium in full old hollywood glam, as it should be. I’m a genius, thank you.

I fell down a rabbit hole of music I listened to in middle school and fefe dobson is severely underappreciated and neglected as an artist, and kiss me fool is the perfect combo of soulful and rock that captures jordan’s taste in music. she’ll shred through the hecklers..... until sue unplugs her amp/the mic/something to that effect.

I picked a song off the album that wasn’t covered in the episode since it has to be rumors-specific but hey...... this actually works really well.

jordan performs two songs (possibly more) for the prom; i want you to want me is a duet with @nostlgic‘s john bender once again, and she pulls out DONTTRUSTME because it’s a great party song.

jordan wanted to do more p!nk and figured this would be a good recruitment song for the glee club, to showcase the different music they do

her audition song for the musical; she’s going for anita and rightfully gets stomped out of the running by santana (I will never stop simping for santana) but she enjoys being one of the shark girls all the same.

it’s the gayest song I could think of that would be in jordan’s wheelhouse. I’m doing this for the lesbians.

I know ryder covers this later but once again I do not care. it’s another favorite love song of jordan’s and one she would present to mr. schue for his proposal to emma.

I might change this/add more but jordan went through an 80s mood that month and just felt like the two above would be solid for prom (and she’s right!).

yes this was covered in later seasons but I do not care it’s iconic and she’s gonna sing this to the seniors come hell or high water.

this episode was superhero themed with the duets and I think both songs fit the theme and are also in jordan’s reach; she probably picks ABBA but that could change.

once again this is specific to @nostlgic‘s john bender but in general...... such a good love song. I guarantee you if you sing this at your crush they will instantly fall in love with you.

truthfully I can’t remember why I thought this would fit into the episode theme but once again, I do what I want and so does jordan.

I realize that the network probably couldn’t afford the royalties to cover cher’s music but is that gonna stop me from proclaiming that jordan does exactly that during diva week? of course not.

this doesn’t fit the rest of the episode so this is probably gonna change but hey, michelle branch is underrated and I’m doing everyone a favor here.

ciara and rihanna had a very brief feud that mostly happened on twitter and was resolved with little drama but since the episode is about doing music/mashups incorporating two artists with beef, this works. and it’ll fucking slap.

did you know jordan actually really loves country music? well, now you do.

the assignment was about dreams and jordan decided to slack off that week with the music. she still pulls it off. will schuester is probably still a dick.

power goes out at mckinley and the glee club is challenged to perform music stripped down and acoustic; could you imagine how hard an acoustic version of edge of seventeen would be? you’re welcome.

Paramore: 9. Sad, misses the 80's back when they weren't alive. Sad lesbian and sad queer friends culture. Misery Business is a boyfriend stealing anthem for everyone. Just wants things to be okay. Bubble gum, neon punk culture at its core. Futch culture for guys, gals and nb pals. Never had a solid hair color for more than 10 minutes. A mess but a cool funky superb one. My Chemical Romance: 10. Red eye shadow is for the gays. There is no way a straight person has those kinks, that aesthetic and fucking wrote those albums. Green Day: 11. Y'all I shouldn't even have to explain. Green Day is gay as hell just like everything else Billie Joe Armstrong does. Also, piss kinks. Billie is a dumb butch and his wife is such a fucking goddess. Dookie is bi culture. Has 40 different versions of something but only uses the same one.

The Killers: 12. Transcends the scale, but keeps it on the down low. Has had so many failed straight relationships even tho they know they’re gay, they just can’t let go of the past. So since so many people are getting into Red Velvet recently, I decided to make a guide to help them out. You know, give yall some slack because learning five names is super hard. A guide accompanied by my half-assed jokes, interesting.

Red Velvet is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2014.

There are five members (OT4 stans can choke).

They debuted on August 1st in 2014 with a single called “Happiness”.

And your boi gone and did it. He basically debuted another group despite the number of problems he had to deal with already. This is every student ever, just make another problem to cover up the first one.

Red Velvet debuted with four members; Irene, Seulgi, Wendy and Joy. The “Happiness” music video got 2 million views in a day and was the most viewed kpop music video for the month of August in 2014. See, the queens already breaking records.

However, the original version of “Happiness” was full of controversial topics such as 9/11 being the most prominent one. This caused such hate to the girls that everyone started calling them “flops”. Lmao Red Velvet stays unbothered as the kpop act with the most Billboard charted albums bYE.

Some of you still may be wondering what the hell happened with Yeri. Well, because their debut was rushed and due to her age, Yeri, unfortunately, couldn’t debut with them. When Red Velvet debuted, Yeri was 15 years old so basically a child.

"You know me," says avant-metal cult hero Mike Patton (see Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Fantômas, Tomahawk, among a million other projects) at the prospect of being interviewed by Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato and guitarist Ben Weinman. "It's gonna deteriorate into fart jokes." And indeed the conversation does, but not before winding through more fascinating topics. Perhaps what becomes most apparent from the powwow — which was scheduled with much difficulty amid Patton's Faith No More reunion touring and DEP's roadwork behind fourth album, Option Paralysis — is the camaraderie and mutual respect between these former tourmates and occasional collaborators.

That respect started early for the Dillinger guys. Weinman recalls staying home sick from school and poking out Patton-era Faith No More songs on his shitty Casio; and the same band made a 9-year old Puciato understand metal's unlikeliest possibilities. "I'll tell you this. Probably the gayest thing I did was shave the sides of my hair," says Weinman, referencing Patton's signature early- '90s cut. "Then as soon as I did that, Mike got a fucking eyebrow ring. That was one step away from a bellybutton ring. I didn't go there." Patton comments with his usual deadpan, "Thanks for paying attention to my hair, Ben."

It's obvious that Dillinger have paid attention to much more than just Patton's once-flowing locks. They certainly adore Patton's steadfast abidance to his own musical whims — currently displayed on the gorgeous Mondo Cane, an album that teams his flawless pipes with a 40-piece orchestra and a shimmering selection of Italian pop. Dillinger's Option Paralysis is maybe the next level to Patton's math-fucked '90s freakcore, borrowing a little of Faith No More's itchy-sensitive croon, aggressively updating Mr. Bungle's time-signature torture and certainly expanding upon the band's 2002 four-song collab with Patton, Irony Is a Dead Scene. "I always think back to [FNM's 1992 album] Angel Dust," says Weinman. "Faith No More made a conscious effort to not be pinned down to a style: 'Nobody's gonna be able to tell us what we sound like.'"

Interjects Puciatio, "The one thing about angel dust is that it gets you really fucking high."

Says Patton, "Now that's a better answer!"

MIKE AND GREG, YOU BOTH REPLACED THE ORIGINAL SINGERS IN FAITH NO MORE AND DILLINGER, RESPECTIVELY. WAS IT HARD COMING IN AS "THE NEW GUY"?

Patton When you come into a pre-existing situation, you gotta have your own thing going. You gotta be really strong about it and you gotta look at the older material in an aggressive way — "I'm gonna make this mine somehow." You need to put your imprint on the situation that you're in. And that was my viewpoint and I'm sure Greg did the same. Obviously it's worked.

Puciato You have to have a combination of wanting to do your own thing with a reverence for what has already been done. It's hard to make something feel like it's yours. Especially with lyrics — you know lyrics aren't lyrics you wrote, you don't necessarily know exactly what they mean. But 10 years in, I've played them so many times that I don't remember that they were ever not with me.

STAGE PERFORMANCE IS A CHAOTIC, HIGH-RISK AFFAIR FOR ALL OF YOU. WHAT'S THE LAST TIME YOU WERE HURT ONSTAGE?

Puciato A few weeks ago, man. I got hit in the eye with Ben's guitar. It opened up and I closed it with Super Glue, which is the most mind-blowing invention of all time. You can pretty much heal any cut on your body with Super Glue. You never need to get stitches. About three days later he hit me in the exact same spot and opened up that cut plus a different one. After the show kids are like, "That was fucking awesome!" It's not that awesome. They think it's awesome that I don't stop playing. To me that's normal. I think that it would be ridiculous to stop playing. I'm already hurt!

Patton That brings up a question I've always wanted to ask you guys: Do you have band medical insurance?

Weinman We don't. Greg doesn't have medical insurance at all. Which is just a problem. As a fatherly guy, it's just insane to me.

Puciato I haven't had medical insurance since I've been in Dillinger. I know that sounds really stupid, but I'm pretty sure I'll get it soon. I've never been seriously hurt, I don't ever get sick really, I don't have any serious medical problem. For the last nine years, nothing's happened, thankfully. And I know I've saved maybe 13 thousand dollars in insurance premiums. But I just turned 30, so maybe I should get insurance.

Patton Well, when you get to be my age …

Weinman Not only do you feel those things, but nothing ever heals. I broke my neck onstage. Straight up. I shouldn't even be walking. I broke my neck. I tore my rotator cuff

Patton Me, too! Rotator cuff. That's my new thing. I've been going to rehab. I got it in both shoulders, which is the worst thing.

Weinman I tore it all the way around. There was only two pieces of tissue holding my shoulder into the socket.

Patton Oh god!

Weinman So I literally had to have it sutured back together. And it ruined me for six months.

Patton I remember hearing stories that you were in a body cast. You know how news travels. I've had at least a couple botched surgeries. They've been no fun.

Weinman Obviously the breast reduction was the worst one you had.

Patton And the ball-wrinkle removal. No wonder I look so young!

DO YOU REGRET ANYTHING YOU'VE DONE ONSTAGE?

Patton Eesh. You guys start, please.

Puciato I guess I did that thing where I shit onstage in England [at the 2002 Reading festival]. But you can't be mad at yourself for something you wanted to do at the time. I never want to get to a point where I'm second-guessing myself onstage. If the time ever comes where I go to do something and my rationale stops me midway through, that would destroy the entire point of performing. So, there's nothing I ever regretted, but there are things that I don't understand what my mindset was back then. Like the whole shitting at Reading. I would not do that now. Fuck, man, I don't know if I would want to see someone shit.

Weinman I can say this: I never saw Faith No More until, like, a week ago.

Patton Is that true?

Weinman That's absolutely true. I never saw Faith No More and that's honestly why I was so choked up at the show. Until YouTube came out, I didn't know that Mike was such a crazy frontman. All the Dillinger antics were just influenced by me hating people. I heard things about the punk scene, but there was none of it happening. We were seeing these old guys who probably saw Minor Threat and were so bored; a shitty, Xeroxed-a-thousand-times copy of it. So I started throwing my guitar across the room. I would literally have to go to a guitar store and buy the cheapest guitar with stickers all over it to play my next show. So later when I actually heard about Mike having stage presence, it just tied it all together. It made me feel more an affinity to them.

Patton To me, the stage is like the free zone. That's what makes it exhilarating. For whatever reason there's this weird little square where it's kind of a romper room for adults. So I've done some things. Some of them are good and some of them are not so good. But none of them are planned. You don't think, "Hey, I'm gonna stage dive tonight." Or, "I'm gonna rape a bouncer tonight."

Weinman I couldn't agree with that more — aside from the fact that I actually do regret certain things.

Patton Oh, me too! Oh God, are you kidding me?

Weinman I legally can't talk about some of it.

Patton I'm not talking about hardly any of it, OK? When you reach out with a microphone and fully punch some kid in the head — and realize he's the wrong kid? Shit like that. I'm not saying that happened, of course.

Puciato Yeah, I used to think that you could do whatever you want onstage and not be held accountable — and about 20 lawsuits later I learned that's not true. You can get carried away and think this pirate-ship mentality where you come to town, rape, pillage, fuck as much shit up as possible, and then you leave without any repercussion. But we're in a different time. You can find out six months later that something you did at a show you don't even remember anymore, someone is trying to sue you.

Weinman We were playing a show, more people than I ever expected, shortly after we released Irony Is a Dead Scene with Mike on it. So there was a lot of kids coming to see us that didn't normally know Dillinger. Mike Patton fans. So some of them weren't used to our very … interactive experience.

Patton Interactive experience!

Weinman I remember being extremely pumped by the attention and at the end of the show I decided to throw my guitar across the room, as hard as I can in attempt to make it explode on the back bar wall. Which was a little farther away then I thought.

Patton Uggggh …

Weinman And I literally almost killed a girl. Now for 99 percent of that crowd it was probably the most amazing thing they ever seen. And I'll tell you, they'll never see a band in 3-D — no matter how many times they see Avatar.

Patton There has to be an element of danger, or at least an element of intrigue for a band to be interesting.

Weinman But I really debated what my purpose in life was after that. This is what it's about? This girl that got severely hurt? I really had to think — and I don't like thinking.

Patton Yeah ...

Weinman The two guy friends that were with her wanted to kick the shit out of me. She was so scared. She ended up being OK, but it was very traumatic. I remember talking to this girl while she was on the floor. Saying, "Is there anything I can do? Is there anything I can do?" And the one thing that she said to me? "Can you introduce me to Mike Patton?"

Patton Ha! Fuck you!

Weinman I swear to God.

Patton Ah, you're killing me. You're killing me. Still, you could have done that same thing and hit a dude who would have gone, "I'm gonna tattoo this scar on my forehead!"

Weinman And that's happened 1,000 times since. But that's an interesting story. So thanks, dickhead.

Patton Yeah … my fault, as usual.

Weinman No, but that also was a great thing because it showed how amazing it is that you've touched so many people.

Here come the obsessions, and a little heads up, several are from Eurovision.

1) Node - The Plot Survives

This song is rather simple, being mainly an instrumental song. The only singing is brought by guest singer, Lisy Stefanoni of Evenoire (which I discovered this song through her), but even then it's just vocalizing. But that and her flute solo are what makes this song so wonderful. The simplicity of it and the atmospheric metal vibe that it gives off is wonderful.

2) The Great Discord - Darkest Day

This is the first single off of their upcoming album and I am so hyped for it! I discovered this band last year and immediately became obsessed with them. They're a progressive metal band with djenty moments (even though they call themselves progressive death pop, which oddly suits them) and lyrical themes that are similar to Ghost. So if you're like me and can't get into Ghost, but want something similar, check them out. ANYWAYS, this song is absolutely epic and Fia looks AMAZING in the video!

3) Elantris - Ellie

Elantris is a symphonic metal band from the US that is actually really great! I came across these guys after finding out they're one of the openers for Epica's Universal Principle tour in the States later this year and decided to give them a listen and I am hooked. This band is a force to reckon with and I can't wait to hear more from them and I HOPE I can go to the Universal Principle tour!

4) Ethereal Dawn - In Your Theocracy

This song is absolutely epic. I love it so much when bands bring in middle eastern musical influences into their music. I don’t know why, I just do, and this song does just that. It’s such an amazing and bombastic power metal track with such strong middle eastern influences and I absolutely love it.

5) Florence + the Machine - Cosmic Love

I came across this song through a friend sharing it on Facebook. It's so lovely. I haven't heard a bad song from Florence + the Machine yet and I don't think I ever will. Their music is just so pleasant and wonderful, and this song is all of those things.

6) Scenario II - Rapture

I discovered these guys a few months ago and I am loving them. This song is so pretty and so aggressive. So good. It's also rather simple, but the execution of it is absolutely amazing.

7) Oracles - Dawn of the Sycophant

THIS. IS. EPIC. This song is very different compared to their debut album, yet very much still on brand for them. It has a bit of a symphonic black metal feel to it and it is awesome. I cannot wait to see what else they bring and if they're going to continue is this blackened symphonic direction.

8) Helion Prime - Remnants of Stars

This is their first single featuring their new front woman, Kayla, and it is amazing. It's so good! I was a bit worried that Kayla wouldn't be able to match up to Heather, but she does and has a similar sounding voice and has a bit more power than her. I'm so excited to see what else they bring with her. Also this song has a huge sci-fi/space theme to the lyrics which I truly adore.

9) The Anix - Hollow

This song is so wonderful and a great song to veg out to. It has a slight new wave feel to it and the whole vibe of it just makes you feel so relaxed. I'm definitely am going to check out more from these guys, for this song has definitely grabbed my attention.

10) DOOL - Oweynagat

I discovered this band through Charlotte Wessels of Delain, for she made a post on Facebook giving them a shoutout, so I figured I'd give them a listen. I'm so glad I did, because this is something unlike anything I've ever heard. It has a classic rock feel, but is also rather doomy. I am definitely am going check out more from them.

11) Lucie Jones - Never Give Up On You

This was the UK's entry for Eurovision this year. This was the first year that I TRIED to keep up with the competition, but since I live in the US, that is near impossible since I don't think they air it on TV here and most of the videos on ESC YT channel are blocked here. ANYWAYS, this song is absolutely gorgeous and I loved it.

12) Kasia Mos - Flashlight

This was Poland's entry for Eurovision and it's definitely one of the more different songs that made it on there this year, being that it's a more experimental track. This was my personal third favorite entry this year. So good and so lovely.

13) Anja - Where I Am

Denmark's entry was so good! Such a fun and upbeat song compared to all the ballads and slower songs that happened this year. Her voice is absolutely wonderful and she looked so gorgeous in this video. This was my second favorite this year. So good.

14) Slavko Kalezic - Space

This was Montenegro's entry and it was the gayest one on this year and I fucking love it. I knew they wouldn't win, but the fact that it's such a fun song and the video just screams the gay club scene made me fall in love with it. Also can we talk about that fierce ass ponytail? YAS BITCH!

15) Tamara Gachechiladze - Keep the Faith

THIS WAS MY FAVORITE THIS YEAR. The drama, the power, the message; it's so fucking good! I can understand why it didn't make it far, but it's my number one favorite entry. You all should know this by now: the more dramatic a track is, the more I'm going to love it. And Tamara looks absolutely STUNNING in this video.

16) Elyose - Rédemption

I've known of this song for a while now, but I saw it pop up and decided to listen to it and started obsessing over it. It's such a great song. It's like a blend of prog, industrial metal and a little bit of symphonic metal. It just throws me off that the singer looks so adorable and tiny, yet she has such a strong and powerful voice. So good. So good. HIGHLY recommend it!

That’s it for the first half of May. The second is probably gonna be just as long or possibly longer, sooo yeah.
