SEMI SLOPPY WRITING AFTER FINALLY WATCHING THE BEE EPISODE

LIKES: -Very beautiful backgrounds -The visible backtround characters are very well designed and their simplicity is cool! -Bee's voice Oh My God she sounds very beautiful -I like how bee can make food and other stuff bigger, makes her gluttony stuff much more visible if that makes sense? -I like the funny comical dog barking sounds

COMMENTS: -Vortex sounds Very gay -I can see some background sillohets reused in scenes imediatly after they are already shown and due to the very visible posing its super obvious -like 2 background sillohets have eyes while the others dont -How does bee fucking fly

Rewatching one of my favorite TOS episodes: Is there in truth no beauty?

Only 2 mins in and had to pause to laugh because!! They spend that time establishing that Anbassador Kollos’ form is so ugly that it drives humans mad and even Vulcans have to wear a visor.

Spock then beams up a beautiful woman and a box and he greets the woman: “Ambassodor Kollos, it is an honor to meet you”

And she goes… “I’m Dr. Jones.” And then indicates that the box is Kollos…

Spock is really out here soooooo obviously not attracted to women that he assumes that the beautiful beautiful Dr. Jones is a hideous monster!

Ok then it’s revealed that Spock was offered the position Dr. Jones is auditioning for but he turned it down bc “my life is here”

Sorry but season 3 Kirk and Spock are so together there’s no way around it.

Okay!! Miranda (Dr. Jones) is soooooo Spock of Christmas future coded. To a point but I’m sure the argument Kirk makes when he’s honey potting her in the garden is very similar to one he might use to get spock to not do kolhinar. Both dark hair, striking features, beautiful in an intriguing way, extremely intelligent, don’t fit in with either of the cultures fully because of stigma associated with genetic features, Kirk immediately tries to flirt…

This is a “spirk on a date” episode just like trouble with tribbles but more serious

Back to the honey pot in the garden…Kirk is there to distract Miranda from Spock melding with Kollos. She is distracted until he lets her get a little personal and then she immediately figures out what Spock is planning. (This is sooo similar to in TMP when Spock is mentally saying goodbye to Kirk and then Kirk’s consciousness reaches out across the universe.) He tries to keep her there but then she says it’s too dangerous for Spock to do and Kirk let’s go right away and they leave to help Spock

Omg and then Spock accidentally looks at Kollos without protection and goes crazy and can only be saved by Miranda but Kirk and Bones don’t think she’ll help bc she’s so jealous and bones says maybe she will help bc they weren’t rivals in love (he means for the love of kollos) but the whole ep Kirk is flirting with Miranda AND with Spock so they kinda are. And then Kirk says probably the cruelest things he ever says to her to guilt her/snap her back to reality to help Spock and she does. He’s basically driven insane by his need to save Spock (as per usual)

I just love this episode so much. I especially love the direction and the music. I think the music is unique to the episode which is really rare and the director takes a lot of chances with interesting shots (he does a lot of wide angle pov). We get to see the bridge from a different angle which is really cool and there’s one shot of Miranda where it’s like a quick zoom in that I like. And the blocking is pretty interesting in a few scenes too like kirk and co marching down the hall to see if Kollos has been hurt.

The shrew bit is a bit tired of course but I think the payoff here is much better than in Elaan of Troius. They don’t necessarily “tame” Miranda as the resolution is for her to accept she is in love with Kollos and that he loves her too in the way that he can, and the crew learns that she is capable of a great deal more than they can image when they previously considered her blindness to be a great detriment.

Also the other relevant guest of the week is one of the designers of the enterprise and Scotty is so smitten with him lmao. He’s so excited to meet the guy and just wants to hang out and drink and take about engineering.

Shatner looks sooo good in this ep too. Toupee is the perfect length imo.

Miranda’s costumes are gorgeous, definitely ranking in top 5. Her hair too.

We get IDIC introduced for the first time and even tho it was a ploy by Roddenberry to sell merch, the concept is really interesting and does develop the lore of Vulcan quite a bit

Ugh when Kollos joins with Spock he talks about how lonely people are when they are cut off from each other (telepathically) and then Kirk tells him it’s time to end the meld. To me in my spirk brain worms brain, that indicates that Kirk and Spock have a mind link established and that they had to “unplug” when Spock melds with Kollos, which is why Kollos feels that Spock is so alone and Kirk ends the meld so promptly lol.

Ralph Senesky is definitely my favorite TOS director, I wish he did more!

LOLL i was gonna start like ‘hey there im denethor anon’ but u beat me to it. SIMILAR MINDS. Haha i read one of ur fics, was immediately smitten & was like i MUST follow them. (I’m glad i did, love the vibe of ur blog and the Flavour of ur opinions.. TASTY) so im a more recent follower but i’m gathering younger you weren’t a fan of denethor, huh? Can’t say i blame you. PJ certainly made some Decisions. he was like how do i convert a complex character into The most loathsome creature ever. He really did our fav gondorians sooo dirty. I literally watch through those scenes SEETHING in rage.

So I’ve been Thinking about denethor and faramir and nothing else for two days. like i am a denethor girlie. in my mind. spiritually. haven’t posted much abt him on tumblr. but nowww. you’re exactly right, ‘denethor Is a good leader…[insert ur paragraph here]’ yes yes yes you get it. listen denethor was a prideful, angry, resentful man but he was also valiant, resilient and noble. He guarded his city, alone (which takes GUTS, again, he was a badass!!), so well, for literal YEARS that Sauron was fearful/wary of him. i wish people were more understanding of him. he’s such an interesting character there’s so much to explore there. as you said the duty-vs-love, the weapon-first-person-next of it all. the layers. denethor as a weapon. denethor as a symbol of both sword/shield. AAHHH

BUT i think some people dismiss him hate him bc he is the mirror (the ugly side? if that makes sense) of humanity, of us. we ought to show him some compassion tho ‘cause havent u ever been taken under the darkness of life? felt the world slipping away & struggle to keep up w it? dont u ever feel hopeless? that things will never change, no matter what u do? DO YOU HAVE FEARS HAVE YOU FACED THE MONSTERS? WERE YOU ALONE, SCARED AND HOPELESS? AND HAVENT YOU MADE MISTAKES IN YOUR GRIEF AND PUSHED PEOPLE AWAY?? THAT’S what denethor experienced. He was described as a leader & a learned one at that for christ sake. He knew that evil was awaiting him and his kin and his people! he saw his future. yet. yet he soldiered on until. war declared. his sons killed (or so he believed). that’s when hope abandoned him. what was the point of staying alive now anyway? Evil was upon them, they would surely be tortured w a fate worse than death, so why should he not end the pain and kill himself? he fought the war against Time, Evil and The Dark Enemy himself and WON. he was a brave man indeed, to have fought these dark forces so much stronger than him. but he finally lost the war against Despair (and Grief), the cruelest of them all. imma cry 😭😭😭 no no no u don’t understand he didnt give up hope, hope abandoned him he- [GUNSHOT] (i don’t know how much of this even made sense lmao) anyway,

Faramir <333. do i even have to say anything about faramir? he’s the specialest little guy i love himm 🥰. On god i am one step away from rereading lotr just for him (plsss dont tempt me finals are in less than a fortnight) his and denethor’s relationship like u described my godddd XDD. fucked up familial relationships MY BELOVED. i am feral about this trope. the resentment… the jealousy… the mirror image of each other… the you’re-the-same-like-me-and-i-hate-that… mmmhm. hey do u ever think about 12 year old faramir admiring his father much the same way he did boromir and wishing he would grow up to be just like him? and do you ever think about 28 year old faramir knowing that he’s more like his father than anyone else and hating that? hating him? i do.

WOW where did that come from. the complex that that would give him...hello? turning this over inside my brain at WARP speed.

part 3 of things that eddie munson should do more in fanfic

(ik this was a steve AND eddie thing originally but it has simply evolved 2 things i think eddie would do)

eddie always gives steve his band shirts 2 sleep in and as an owner of band shirts i would never. what, waste a perfectly good band shirt…. 4 sleeping???!? inconceivable!!!!!! i, personally, instead, sleep in whatever shirt i was wearing that day plus sum sweatpants/shorts if i don’t shower that day or i wear old shirts i got from various church camps n school events i went 2 as a child

so maybe eddie owns a drama club shirt!!!! drabble tiiime!!

eddie, after rummaging through his dresser,* threw a shirt over his shoulder and at steve’s face. steve grunted and peeled the garment off his face, then observed the design on the front. the shirt itself was an ugly swamp green shade, and the design, a comedy and tragedy mask with the words ‘hawkins high drama club’ arced above it, was printed on in mustard yellow.

steve giggled. “you? you were in drama club?”

eddie shrugged earnestly and sat on the carpeted floor. “well, yeah, that’s how we got clearance to do hellfire in the theatre room.”

steve pulled his own shirt over his head and began to wriggle the slightly too-small shirt on. “i knew you were kind of a dramatic guy, but somehow, i can’t really see you on a stage.”

normally, eddie would gasp and pretend to clutch his pearls in offense. with steve, however, eddie knew he was just trying to have a genuine conversation - and it was true, eddie never performed in any of the school plays. so he gave him a real answer.

“yeah, acting is cool and all, but…” eddie walked over to where steve sat on the mattress and simply pulled off the shirt he was trying to put on. steve wasn’t sure whether to retort because he had been trying to put that on or keep his mouth shut because… well, eddie just pulled his shirt off like it was nothing. “…i’m more of a behind-the-scenes guy, myself,” he finished, and turned the shirt around so steve could see the back. a little below the neck hole, it read ‘crew.’

steve pushed this around in his brain a bit. “sooo… like, you did lights and shit?”

eddie grinned, showing his teeth. he threw the shirt back at steve, this time landing it meaningfully on his head. “yeah, that and a whole bunch more - sets, props… costumes, sometimes… designed the shirt, too.”

steve, still shirtless, looked down at the ugly shirt. “really? you designed this?” he tried to sound neutral in case eddie was proud of it.

“i came up with the concept,” eddie replied. “looked waaaay cooler as a sketch, and some girl chose these godawful colors. i kept saying, ‘the shirt should be yellow - you know, something light - and the design should be green, like dark green, make it less jarring, but noooooo, nobody likes eddie’s ideas…”

“it’s cool, though,” steve said, face hidden by the shirt, which he was attempting for a second time to pull over his head, “i mean, that you came up with the shirt idea.”

eddie smiled, sweet and with a closed mouth. he pulled the shirt down the rest of the way for steve. “thanks, harrington.”

steve looked up at eddie, eyes big and bright, noticing how eddie’s fingers were slightly cooler than his own warm torso when they brushed together.

steve shrugged awkwardly. “don’t need to thank me. it’s true.”

eddie stepped away, looking pleased, and steve suddenly felt like he’d been holding his breath.

*yes eddie has a ton of clothes all over his floor n when he gets ready in the morning he j picks sumthing up, smells it, n if it’s decent he wears it. BUT he shall be chivalrous… a TRUE gentleman… and offer steve a clean shirt

okay, so after courting all the singles in sdv and experiencing their 10-heart events (and also getting the cold shoulder from the girls for a week because i didn't know about the rabbit's foot trick), here are my impressions. i still have no idea who i'm going to marry, but i've managed to narrow it down a bit.

haley: i screwed up her 10-heart event--should have tried to kiss her! but i liked her character development a lot. she's actually pretty sweet!

penny: i love penny, i do. but i want her to travel the world and get the hell out of town. she's so sweet, and i just want her to figure out what she wants for herself beyond doing things for her mom or the kids in town. like, clearly she wants a little danger and adventure or she wouldn't have invited the farmer to the secluded pool after dark to confess her feelings. yes, i know she's a video game character.

leah: leah would thrive on a farm. had lots of fun watching her punch her ex for stalking her. i think she's a sensible choice who would make my character smile and help out on the farm, even if she doesn't tug my heartstrings like some of the others.

maru: maru is the BEST. however, i already married her in my other save file, and i'm doing something different this time around. sorry, i love you!

abigail: a true badass. i think she would be a lot of fun to be married too. and also pierre sucks. but she also seems really young compared to the others sooo idk.

emily: very sweet, and i love talking to her as a friend, but not my type.

elliot: eh, i feel like he likes the idea of things a lot better than their actual execution. very put off by him implying that writing was harder than 'just being a farmer.' a little too self-absorbed for me.

harvey: he's fine, but i'm not into mustaches.

shane: look. shane has one of the best arcs in this game. i love seeing him pull his life together, and i was so happy that shutting down joja meant he didn't have to work somewhere that sucks his soul out anymore. that being said. i think he should stick around the farm for jas, since he's always saying that he finally found a family in marnie and jas. and also, i looked it up and his bonus room is sooooo ugly. his final date was a bit meh for me too.

sebastian: surprised me! i spent way too long giving him cheese (a little out of spite) before i got it together and actually started to get to know him. I think he'd flourish on the farm away from his family, and i really enjoyed the 8-heart and 10-heart events with him. even though he's friends with sam and abigail, for some reason he doesn't strike me as nearly as young as the other two.

sam: a manchild. love ya jody but give this boy some chores. and the fact that his 10-heart event was trying to canoodle in his bedroom with the door open while his mom was in the living room...do better, man.

alex: alex really surprised me!! he was another character that i took a minute to get to know because i was kind of unimpressed by first impressions, but his beach scene and backstory was really nice, and i really appreciated the effort he went to in the 10-heart event. a really nice date! owning his affection in front of other people after shoving it down for so long!

so i think i've narrowed it down to alex, sebastian, leah, and penny. i really think it may come down to who has the most fun bonus room.

Closed Starter for: @stealthkisses

While patrols in Brooklyn were never exactly quiet, break-ins to nine different high security buildings in the span of three nights meant that the past few nights had been even more eventful than usual. The frustrating part for Miles was that whoever was responsible for the break-ins kept getting away, being no where to be found by the time that he arrived on scene. But not this time, because he was quite sure that he had figured out the pattern to these break-ins, meaning that he had a plan, and he was going to catch this thief red handed. Sure, it meant that he had to do a little breaking and entering himself, and yeah, he was going to have to stay put, quiet, and invisible until they showed their face, but it would all be worth it once he caught the criminal who had made him look foolish three nights in a row in his web, right?

After a few hours of staying silently hidden in the same corner of the dark jewelry store though, Miles' enthusiasm for his plan was admittedly starting to wear thin, as was his certainty that it was going to work. What if he had been wrong in figuring out this thief's pattern, and had wasted the entire night sitting around waiting for someone who was never going to show up; a night that he could have spent making sure that the rest of Brooklyn was safe, or Hell, even catching up on the school work for his summer classes that he was so behind on.

"Ugh Miles you're an idiot. What a stupid waste of time." He whispered to himself, before he began climbing back up the wall towards the vent he had used to enter the building so that he could make his exit. However as he reached to push the grate open so he could climb inside, the grate was pulled back inside the vent by someone else, and before he could react to the tingling sensation of his spider-sense and get out of the way, a pair of feet came crashing into his (still invisible) chest and drove him hard into the ground, with whoever the feet belonged to standing directly on top of him. His focus on maintaining his camouflage broke as he let out a groan, and the sight of his arm reappearing in his peripheral was enough to tell him that the person standing on top of him could now see him. "Well, this isn't exactly how I planned for this to go, but at least you showed up!" He said in a slightly strained voice, since the pair of feet were still standing directly on his chest and were making it a little bit difficult to breathe. As he glanced up at the face of the culprit responsible, he suddenly felt himself feeling a bit dazed by the sight before him. "Oh. good day to u leo this is an opportunity to expand on the dark side of the rainbow theory, if you want to— what parts of it really get you, why, what you think it All Means, any colour you like <3

omgggg heehee meggg here we go again <3 I already ranted about it here so i'm gonna try not to repeat myself too much rdfkjf but I think what I really LOVE about this theory is how the entire thing makes absolute total sense with what Pink Floyd consistently was about, whether it be the themes or on the technical side.

Ok first it all starts with this panel:

also making me emotional, because DSOTM is dedicated to the lunatics, and later The Wall would be dedicated to paranoids and bleeding hearts, and they're both over 40yo, and they're the two PF albums that are still mainstream to this day and so their philosophy didn't went out of fashion, ueueue

On The Run:

The scene of Dorothy singing Over the Rainbow is dubbed with On The Run, consisting of planes exploding. PF uses again the image of a child dreaming about the sky only to meet violence in The Wall:

Look mummy, there's an aeroplane up in the sky [...]

While Dorothy is convinced dreams really do come true, Pink realizes they don't because he still has to hide from danger even long after the war ended and peace was promised to everyone. As an adult, Pink references Over The Rainbow again, maybe trying to find shelter in childhood memories as he's violently judging himself for being "crazy". Over The Rainbow is just so ridiculously emOTIONAL and it sounds so fragile, the same way PF sounds whenever they mention a dream that is "gone" or "crazy"

Money

Dorothy opening the door to technicolor world makes the noise of a cash register opening. As she walks around the place, she really thinks she is over the rainbow and that she will find happiness there. In reality, she spends her time here running from danger and longs for home. The exact same morale concludes Pink Floyd's Animals: in their quest to satisfy their "need" (for money, fame or power), the dogs lie, betray and live in constant fear, forcing their way into a system that initially rejects them. Eventually, just like Dorothy, the dog realizes all they really need is the comfort and safety of home. animals my beloved my sexy depressing hopeful wife <3

Us and Them

That's where DSOTM playing through Dorothy's moral compass is sooo cool. At that point in the movie, she's praised for having killed a wicked witch and is told how to determine bad from good (Glinda says ugly witches = bad ones, but define ugly bro). The scene also exposes all the players: good witches, bad witches, munchkins, and lil clueless Dorothy. It really illustrates so well the humanistic values PF always is about: be compassionate, open and willing to experience before deciding who is good and who isn't. PF can sound misanthropic but their albums are really about ~luv in a. peculiar way. PF's philosophy is, humans aren't inherently bad, they're taught and led to fight each other by a handful of bad guys in command, who make their bread out of the fighting, and the cycle reenforces abusive systems. Money is what the fighting's all about, the greed of a few is what deepens the gaps between people under all prisms (it's really about intersectionality). I just LOVE that bit where Dorothy is happily skipping on the yellow brick road on the line "Out of the way, it's a busy day". She's just SO blissfully unaware of what that cute lil trip has in store for her <3

Any Colour You Like

The song starts PRECISELY when Dorothy is confronted to a crosspath. She is confused, as she was only told to follow the yellow brick road: problem is both paths are the yellow brick road.

Any Colour You Like is another cute sarcasm. While the title lets you think it's about being in power of your life's decisions, it actually refers to the illusion of choice: being presented with various options that are the same colour. All yellow for Dorothy, "all blue" according to Roger Waters' original metaphor.

IM JOKING but also living for inverted colors' transcending power

Brain Damage:

Following Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage overlaps with the Scarecrow's song If I Only Had A Brain. It's already a BIG coincidonk on its own but thing is it has history:

If there is ONE song in DSOTM officially explicitly written after and for Syd, it's Brain Damage. And Syd happens to have written a song for their first album clearly inspired by the Scarecrow. It's titled um. Scarecrow lol

The black and green scarecrow as everyone knows

In Syd's song, the Scarecrow does no thinking and is opposed to the speaker who does have a brain. Because the Scarecrow goes with the flow and doesn't make any choice for himself, life isn't unkind to him. However, In Brain Damage, the speaker's brain is judged insane, because they go against the rule and stray from life's designated path. So Life, "you", is trying to restrain or actually damage the lunatic's brain: attempting to turn the lunatic who knows who they are into the brainless Scarecrow again.

Meanwhile, the Scarecrow in Oz is obsessed with the idea of having a physical brain because he thinks he needs it somehow to fit in society, and do what people with a brain do. But he proves all along their journey that he's just as clever and functional without <3

Fun bonus, some fans saw in the cover of the live album Pulse (1995) the silhouette of a kid dressed in blue and wearing red slippers:

ANYWAY BASICALLY I don't know if the entire album was written after The Wizard Of Oz, like, with the aim of synchronizing them both together from the start, or if both concepts met at some point. Demos of DSOTM were played and experimented on tours (The Great Gig in the Sky started off as just ominous music and creepy readings of the Bible lol), and some early version of songs like Us and Them were originally written for other projects. It doesn't change the fact that the final selection was mixed and edited together to cOiNcidEntAlLy perfectly fit the 40 first minutes of The Wizard of Oz, but it's hard to tell how much writing was done with the movie in mind.

That being said I think they would totally have done it as a challenge first: it was at a time where they started to reaaally have fun with the possibilities technologies offered, and PF was always about experimenting and exploiting visuals as much as playing music. Given all the movies' soundtracks they did prior to DSOTM and how this album would be their first following a certain narration, it's really adequate in context and a great technical achievement for the time.

Overall, The Wizard of Oz is just THAT perfect medium to work with. Tale-like narration, grand visuals. It has been associated with populism, political and economic allegories as well as being a cultural monument of childhood and nostalgia. Mix it all up and you get Pink Floyd lmao

Sasuke is a sassy, straight forward person. Hinata is horribly shy.

Sasuke purposefully pokes and teases Naruto. Hinata stops at 'Naruto-Kun'.

Sasuke along with Iruka Sensei were the most important people in Naruto's life. Hinata was never even in his second tier list which had Jiraiya, Kakashi and Sakura.

Sasuke had his own goals in his life. Hinata basically had no ambition other than stalking her 'Naruto-Kun'.

Sasuke reached out to Naruto when he was alone. Hinata was just stalking and did nothing.

Sasuke unknowingly improved Naruto's growth in his Genin Days. Meaning Sasuke is Naruto's strength. Hinata....well, nothing to say. She could've warned Naruto about not to go for a Close Combat with Neji before the Chunin Exams.

the cat was called pussboy by tommy, but dream only called it "the cat" and then said that "it was hope", which is why it sort of became a symbol (his hope is dead, basically) - that's why i kind of made its name capitalized, because it was more of a metaphor than anything.

most c!dream fans call the cat hope because it's just really nice and really symbolic, and also really sad when you think about it. that's why the name was used in the essay, just to clear up the confusion!

i don't really think so? mooshroom henry was entertainment more than anything, and even if it was bad, when watching the stream i don't remember seeing him mourn that much - on the other hand, dream was very quickly and very obviously attached to the cat, with it being his only companion in months of isolation, along with the hope that even when tommy left it would keep him company.

keep in mind c!dream has been deprived of stimuli and human contact for so long it's officially classified as psychological torture at that point.

i don't mean to compare trauma or even compare deaths - because honestly, what c!dream and c!tommy have gone through individually is incomparable and i think neither should be diminished in favor of the other since they're both terrible situations.

that's why i disagree that it "was nothing compared to" - it had an obvious effect on c!dream, and was still c!tommy killing an animal specifically to hurt him, no matter what reasons he had.

when i'm talking about effects people's actions have had on c!dream, i'm not talking about those people. i'm talking about him. :) /lh

as for the trauma, a lot of people agree that a lot of the things he says or does are trauma responses, and hence it's very possible that he's had trauma before he went into prison!

this includes being repeatedly called a tyrant via propaganda by about half of your friends who decided to betray you, trying to keep peace and being pushed deeper into villainy instead, repeatedly being put in between a rock and a hard place in order to make sure the people you care about don't start killing each other, then being betrayed by your closest friends after merely trying to keep peace (sapnap & george) and just in general having no control over your life or image and grasping at straws to gain it back.

i know a lot of people with trauma who heavily relate to certain trauma responses, which aren't always just shaky breaths and flashbacks, but trauma often also manifests itself in extremely ugly and destructive ways, both inwardly and outwardly.

trying to control the people around you is also very often a response to going through trauma, as well as emotional repression which is... rather evident on c!dream during season two. it only seems to get worse with repeated abandonment.

in the end, during the vault scene, the way he acts really just isn't at all the way a healthy person would act, and a lot of his really bad mindsets come from the way he was taught by the world around him.

the character is very reserved however, and since we don't have his pov we can't really say for certain - a lot of people claim it in good faith because they have a lot of evidence for it, and i think they're certainly valid in that.

that is just before the prison, however. from what happened during the prison arc? there is no denying he's traumatized at this point.

he's been emotionally and physically abused by c!sam since the very beginning of being imprisoned, and being in solitary confinement for over two weeks is generally considered psychological (and maybe also physical?) torture. that alone shows up in a lot of symptoms of his mental deterioration while in pandora's during people's visits, and quackity's "sessions" just absolutely drove the point home.

what he's gone through during this arc is absolutely incomparable to anything others charactes have faced before, and it's just plain suffering being endured by someone who is, despite everything, still a human being.

as for the wilbur manipulation thing!! it's talking about the whole vassal scene (though even beforehand a lot of their interactions are pretty iffy), and here's a post about that :]

I also have a small question about the analysis u last reblogged cus it says "why dream needed lmanburg gone rightfully" and like. The house analogy is poor because for one cus the land is infinite. And 2 cus punz's yard was literally larger then lmanburg. And also stuff about dream being a mediator? Can u provide examples?

i wouldn't say it was poor. dream's said a lot of times that he didn't care in the slightest about the land - a lot of his problems with l'manberg arose with the fact that wilbur basically built it on lies and tried to disallow half of the server to come there. c!dream was mad about the division and the fact that wilbur wanted "freedom" to have authority in his lands - over others, as can be seen in this post also.

the table analogy was fitting not because dream was some overlord, but because these were literally friends he invited to hang out and live in a place he wanted to call home. claiming a part of it for yourself and saying people of a certain nationality can't come in is directly opposing those goals.

in the early days of the smp, dream's always been a mediator between his friends - sapnap and george, who would often get into fights and go around killing each other! he would always do his best to stop the conflict, which continued after tommy joined when he took him to court and then later tried to mediate conflicts he was a part of, which resulted in tommy killing him unprovoked, stealing his gear, and starting the disc wars when dream was trying to get his stuff back. later, during pogtopia, he is also most concerned with peace over everything, and this seems to continue indefinitely after.

Today i was thinking about how messed up the final control room was. Like. Dream arranged the betrayal and punz and sapnap killed tommy and tubbo who like. Were literal children and their pals (because the author, wilbur soot, is dead/j but srsly if u take the streamers words tommy said he was 9 during the revolution sooo)

Sorry im gonna ramble about how dumb canon ages are for a second cus like. Streamers can say the characters are one way or another (wilbur saying he is mentally 30-something, etc.) But in the end the characters act like they(or at least their streaming personas) do.

i... honestly don't find it that bad? they were in a war, and the final control room was basically just supposed to end it quicker. the l'manbergians made it clear they were going to fight to the death, so they really left c!dream no other choice. and it's not like he didn't give them chances to give up.

also yeah the 9 year old thing was retconned, because in that case c!dream would've been 14 and i don't think that's true.

c!tommy and c!dream were both young and once again, in a war. the final control room was an attempt to assure victory, which both sides would've taken if possible, but only c!dream saw he had the option.

i do agree the whole child soldier thing was bad but... complain about that to c!wilbur, methinks. he talked naive kids into fighting for his personal power. however, the age argument isn't really valid either way. they had enough agency to sign up for it, and whether or not c!wilbur pushing the intense nationalism onto them had something to do with that is another debate entirely.

Bacl to final control room cus like??? Also fun fact punz took 2 of wilbur's canon lives. And like that probably is what started wilbur's paranoia which later lead to his spiral and i. Many thoughts full of lmanburg today.

i'm pretty sure cc!wilbur said what lead to c!wilbur's spiral was a "dark, twister view of possessions" and "disregard for his fellow citizen whom he claimed to love so much", but i really wouldn't say it was the control room; if anything the sudden loss of power after the elections seems to me like the trigger for his spiral.

I watched the exile arc live and. I feel dirty almost for feeling little to no sympathy for c!dream (srry ive been forgetting to add that aa) because of his actions toward c!tommy and like. The whole probation was so humiliating and unfair and c!dream was planning to frame him for the crimes he and puffy did under the the guise of "pranks" and c!quackity was planning to seize the vice president role.

i mean... to be fair, if you didn't watch the prison arc much yet or only watch tommy's perspective i understand not feeling that sympathetic - however, i encourage you to maybe watch a few prison visits, since they could help you see the whole picture better!

i also watched it live, and i also thought it was terrible, but i share very much the same sentiment for the prison arc because. absolutely no one should have to go through either of those things, you know?

i don't think probation was that humiliating? he was just. being asked to not start conflict with the other factions for two weeks. of course, what happened as a result is in no way justified, but i don't think probation itself would've been bad at all. either way yeah the framing and c!quackity's behaviour was. very yikes, i agree.

Also c!tommy antis are dumb because they say "he deserved exile angry emoji" i dont see u saying that about ranboo. Just say you hate cc!tommy and go. Also people say c!tommy was just as toxic to c!dream and i??? No. One is the victim and one is the abuser and like. :/// man. This part is rambly srry

i wouldn't say they hate cc!tommy? cc!tommy has a persona who people think is annoying at first ( but then they subscribe because he is super entertaining big man! ) but a lot of c!tommy's actions are straight up toxic to certain characters, such as c!funndy and c!jack. he has a very dismissive attitude towards others and their trauma and it does affect the people around them very negatively.

examples; his repeated bullying and behavior towards fundy:

Tommy: “Fundy, I’m just here to kinda let you know that I – if you weren’t Wilbur’s son, you would be out of L’manburg, alright? Just remember – you need to keep that relationship with your father. I saw how asshole-y and bratty you were acting in the courtroom the other night. You need to pull your shit together young man.”

......

Fundy: “I’m wearing glasses…are you making fun of my eyesight?!”

Tommy: “Yes.”

Sapnap: “Your father would be very disappointed.”

Fundy: “Wh – disappointed for wearing glasses?!”

Tommy: “You got glasses, like what are you wearing…”

Fundy: “What do you mean?”

Tommy: “Sapnap, Sapnap, over here. Fundy, Fundy, Fundy, I’m really sorry to say this – I’m just here to publicly denounce you.”

Fundy: “…What?”

he's also responsible for a big chunk of c!jack's trauma, both with actions and words, and that's why i think certain people might dislike the character, and i don't think that's wrong of them. anyone can dislike any character they want if they don't attack people for liking them, in my opinion.

also c!tommy was most definitely toxic against c!dream in the cell. it's of course understandable but that doesn't change the fact he was constantly hitting and insulting him (without dream doing anything back for a long while until he snapped) which is toxic behaviour.

i wouldn't say he was "just as" though, so i agree with you on that. they're different and they behave differently.
