starting the next owl ep and show of hands who thinks belos is gonna back-stab the collector or vice-versa

I kind of like to HC Luz as religious just because of further parallel/contrast to Philip and she is the only character to actually reference the concept of Hell onscreen in the first episode.

Guys, I Think The Leaks Are Fakes Made By The Owl House Crew
yes yes i know, right now that might be a WILD ass claim to make but i want those who are reading this to hear me out and read this whole post, because I've been chatting with friends since these leaks happened and i think there’s reason to suspect we might be getting punked here.
And i say this fully accepting there is a chance i could be entirely wrong about this and they could be real, but I think there’s some reason to doubt the episode actually was leaked to the internet.
Now to get those who need it up to speed, the first of the three specials for toh s3 “Thanks to Them” is airing this Saturday on the 15th, it’s a big 45 minute episode that takes place on earth in Luz’s town of Gravesfield. There was a comic con panel about it a few days ago were some fans got to see some sneak peaks, it was all over the internet and everything.
But the day after, some images floated around, 6 of them mainly, claiming to be spoilers from this episode and everyone went WILD with anger, rightfully so, this huge ass episode got leaked to the internet and spoiled for everyone? Man what a way to ruin a week huh?
Well i thought the same for awhile too, but i’ve had some time to cool down and talk to others and guys....something isn’t right about this whole situation.
Below i’m gonna explain why this whole situation feels REALLY off and why I think there might be a chance that not only did the episode NOT leak, but the leaks were fabricated by the crew itself.
And just to be safe, i will do so without showing said leaks, nor will i tell you exactly what’s in them.
Those who saw them will understand, but for those lucky enough to avoid them, i’ll give you an idea of what about them makes me and others suspect something isn’t right.
Tumblr media
Now i’ve had episode leaks before in fandoms, it’s nothing new, they can happen to any fanbase due to issues with scheduling, or mishandling, or episodes being put up online and some people get to it fast.
So the idea of this happening isn’t odd.
However, i raise you this, because i found this to be REALLY Strange.
How come it’s only these 6 images?
Remember when ST and EE were shown privately to the TOH discord by crew members as a treat before they aired? Remember how afterwards there was a ton of images about lumity blushing and amity’s parents?
We were told the ENTIRE EPISODE was not only LEAKED, but put ONLINE.
And yet all i and anyone else have seen are these images and people claiming they’re real, and nothing else.
There were gifs, clips, dozens of frames from willow’s dad’s holding hop pop books to the “That’s rough buddy”. There was so much about these episodes the moment the internet found them.
So let me get this straight? Those episodes the moment the fandom gets them get dozens of gifs, clips, drives to watch them, screenshots, memes, and fanart.....meanwhile this HUGE 45 MINUTE EPISODE has nothing but these specific 6 images?
I’ve never seen anything besides these images floating around when it comes to the the claim the episode was put out, there are no clips, no audio, no gifs, no dialogue being mentioned, nothing.
Is that not strange?
Don’t you guys think if the entire episode was leaked we’d see more then these specific images? Don’t you think we’d see MORE then these shots?
Like this is a big episode, and there is nothing else worth spoiling? Nothing about the wittebanes? lumity? Huntlow? any other big reveals? You’d think if the episode was revealed those would be leaked too right?
Isn’t it so odd that these are the only leaks out there? if there’s video, why doesn’t it seem to be posted anywhere? Heck, where is the video that shows off what’s happening in the leaks with the biggest spoilers?
it’s also strange how this got “Leaked” over a week before the episode comes out, because how in the heck would someone get access to the full episode THAT early? When episodes usually leak, if they aren’t shown privately, it’s either the day before or because of a scheduling error.
So that also seems odd.
Tumblr media
There’s also this to consider, the content of the images themselves.
I won’t go into detail obviously, but you know what i found so off-putting? That the images in question proved a specific theory, proved a few theories and predictions people were floating around the fanbase...theories that aren’t something that’s strongly supported by any current evidence or even liked by quite a few people.
The last images are so....out of nowhere too. They’re sequential enough that they could tell a story of what happened without context and some of them are DEFINTENLY SHOCKING.
But the first two, they have nothing to do with the context of those last 4, so why did they get leaked? they reveal nothing, they’re also things we get to see in the promos that just were released.
Except, if you consider they were “Leaked” to make these leaks seem more real.
Don’t you think it’s odd two of the leaks are things that ended up in the promo that showed up later that day? i mean, what are the CHANCES?
But if you were on the crew, and you wanted the fans to buy into the leaks, you WOULD pair up the fakes with real ass images the fans would see later that day wouldn’t you?
It’s so oddly deliberate.
You would also make leaks that would support big theories and have shock value so people were bound to spread them more. Which is EXACTLY what these ones are.
And if you’re on the crew, you know what the characters are wearing, so even easier to make them look real, because no matter what clips are shown in any disney promos or commercials they will appear to line up with the leaks.
There’s also other off stuff, like how one image is VERY oddly cropped compared to the others, or some character inconsistencies, some even seemingly off model.
“But the 6 minutes in HD are a thing-”
yeah and if someone wanted to fool the fanbase into thinking these leaks were real they WOULD release the 6 minutes alongside it to claim the episode had to be out.
The thing is, the 6 minutes have already been leaked to the fanbase from the nycc panel to the entire fanbase the moment it ended, it’s not as if putting the hd version out there will spoil anything because everyone already basically saw it.
And again, if the episode is OUT, why is that the ONLY footage that appears to have been posted anywhere? The footage we the fans already know about and saw?
Tumblr media
And i wanna send off the rest of the suspicious details about these leaks by talking about the crew.
The crew, has been DEAD SILENT about these leaks, they have not said a word about these specific ones, not even to warn fans about them or how upset they are or anything.
So....
Which is not what they usually do, they have warned fans before, so why not warn us about these supposed BIG leaks about a big episode?
And ok, maybe they don’t wanna make a fuss about them, fair enough, but there’s something else.
Rebecca Rose, who works on this show, liked this tweet just recently.
Tumblr media
Now for those who don’t know, Alex Hirsh (Voice of King and Hooty) is the creator of Gravity Falls, another Disney Cartoon. That cartoon is infamous for it’s mysteries and secrets, and Alex, actually made a fake leak about a major spoiler to troll the entire fanbase.
He made this tweet after it successfully tricked the fans.
Now not only does he work on this show too, but you wanna know where these “Leaks” started out? 4chan and reddit.
Same place his did.
What are the chances?
What are the chances a crew members likes this old tweet about his stunt NOW of all times? When the episode has supposedly been leaked?
Now would it suck to assume the entire fanbase got fooled into thinking the episode was leaked and all the posts made about shaming the leakers were completely for nothing?
Oh yeah.
For the crew to pull this stunt and make us all look like doofuses would be insane.
But i think there’s reason to find this whole situation off and i hope this post makes you all reconsider some details you might not of considered before. Maybe we were leaked, maybe this is all a huge coincidence.
But if you ask me.
This is all too fishy for my liking.

Some general TOH HCs which may or may not be canon at this point
Luz
Height: 5’6

Bi genderqueer
Misc: Loves doing those taste tolerance challenges / Her best subjects back home were biology and english, on the Boiling Isles her grades are all pretty similar, but she does slightly better in potions and beast-keeping / Would LARP but lacked the friends to do so until now. You KNOW she would’ve rp’d warrior cats on the playground / Into taxidermy art but sometimes doesn't have the patience / Her and Manny shared a lot of similar interests / She used to have a cat when she was younger, but once Manny got sick they didn't get another due to stress and lack of time / Helped Vee with school once she got back / has 1000 wips for books and comics / Camila and her / plans so many sappy dates with Amity only to find out Amit has done the same, just slightly before her
Eda
Height: 6’1
Birthday: Mar. 26th
Bi
Misc: Chose the potions track because of Lilith / Hates to admit it but her parenting style is reminiscent of Gwen’s before she was cursed / Has probably talked a few scouts out of leaving the EC. She has a lot of sympathy for the younger ones / She’s enchanted half of the stuff in the Owl House to clean itself but she actually kind of enjoys folding laundry. It’s very mind numbing / She only started treating King more like a roommate rather than a child to prove a point to him / She HATES spices except for ones that go in desserts / She has taken apart a Crystal ball and then neglected to put it back together because “she’ll figure it out later” (a lie perhaps) / managed to hotwire a car in the human realm, promptly crashed it into a pole, and stole a bunch of parts to sell
Lilith
Height: 6’0.5
Birthday: Sept. 18th
Trans aro ace
Misc: Also hates garlic / Has tons of friends in and outside of the coven. She just gives off loner vibes / In addition to be a history nerd, also enjoys linguistics and theoretical math / Her and Hooty joke about get besties tattoos / Feels a lot of guilt about her family and blames herself for the dynamics that resulted / loves puzzle games or anything that makes her have to think tactically
Willow
Height: 5’5
Birthday: May. 15th
Bi aspec demigirl
Misc: Is a very logical person but her competitiveness sometimes gets in the way / Goes on walks with Clover nightly. Gus and Hunter join them sometimes / has a bit of an interest in potions, especially if it involves plants in some way / Her and her dad plan family nights at least once a month where they sit down and play games or watch movies
Gus
Height: 4’10/5’3
Birthday: Oct. 6th
Bi
Misc: throws the best surprise parties / plays hide and seek with Emmiline constantly. As a result, he’s the master of sneaking up on people / 90% of the speculative guesses he has about Earth flora and fauna are surprisingly right / He would be so into hoverboarding you don’t even understand
Amity
Height: 5’7
Birthday: July. 7th
Trans lesbian
Misc: Is way more impulsive than you would initially think / Kind of slow when she’s allowed to take her time/isn’t under pressure / Goes through periods where she’s really close to Ed and Em then pushes them away / Boscha overestimated the friendship they had, but her relationships with Skara and the rest of them were significantly better (not the best, but. Better) / she made Luz an AMV for their 6 month anniversary / Very practical with her clothing. She feels she needs to be prepared lmao
Hunter
Height: 5’8
Birthday: Sept. 2nd
Bi genderqueer
Misc: Strikes me as someone who changes who they want to be and what they want at least once a year. It takes him a little while to figure out what he wants to do / Can cook a little / Gets into debates with Luz about which of their interests are better / Fixates HARD. He could finish a book in a day and tell you all the details forwards and back if he was interested/ Gus is his #1 cosplay buddy / starts collecting cardinal items for Flapjack /
Raine
Height: 5’9-10
Birthday: Jan. 21st
Sapphic nonbinary
Misc: They have a good relationship with their parents and visit them whenever they can / they buy little trinkets that remind them of Eda post-breakup / They were hesitant to take the head witch position / Although they have stage fright, they’re not really shy. Raine can be quite charismatic and tactful / Eda and them used to bug Lilith when she joined the Emperor’s coven, especially when she was a scout / Would help Luz with learning an instrument if she wanted
Belos
Height: 6’2/6’8-7’2
Birthday: Jan. 9th
Whatever’s funniest in the moment baybee (biaro agender usually)
Misc: I think back home the townsfolk marginally preferred Philip over Caleb just because as a child he was eager to please. They thought they were both kind of odd / Despite being very devout, has a lot of interest in literature that critiques religion and the occult just so he can analyze it / When the first grimwalker failed/betrayed him, it sent him into a brief spiral where he wondered if he was doing the right thing (you KNOW he wasn’t) / Idolized Caleb a lot as a child / made a penstagram account once to see what people were saying about him incognito but got overwhelmed and never touched a scroll again
Caleb
Height: 5’11
Misc: The townsfolk didn’t really care all that much when he left / Him and Evelyn met in secret for about 2-3 years before he finally decided to leave / He was an immigrant but Philip was born once the family settled. Him and Philip came to Gravesfield when they were like 11 and 6 respectively / He was kind of a jack of all trades and knew a little bit of everything / Very smart but gave up a lot of opportunity for formal education to care for his brother

Your art about the gang at earth is so freaking good and to the point that it makes me angry we will never see scenes like that on the show (or at least not to the extend we could if it wasn't the RAT)
that's why its My Job to make these earth gang comics!!! and use it as an excuse to brainrot all over everyone's timeline because I think there is So Much Shenanigan Potential that could've been harvested in TOH S3. Angst potential too but I save that for animations because it makes it even more upsetting!!,

I know you said on Twitter your least favorite joke in TOH is the joke from Edge of the World about the head Titan hunter being named Bill. My least favorite TOH joke is from Escaping Expulsion, when Gus suggests they cast illusions of "lady guards" to distract the guards and Willow is like "this isn't a cartoon from the 40s!" Firstly because, why would Gus make that suggestion? Who says the guards are heterosexual men? The Boiling Isles feels pretty gender and sexuality neutral so that's a strange assumption on his part. Second of all why is Willow referencing something from Earth that she would have no way of knowing about aside from maybe Luz, except why would Luz tell her about cartoons from the 40s? Third of all, the whole joke is just brimming with this smug aura of 'look everyone, we're so progressive, we're NOT going to do this trope that we COULD do because we're not a cartoon from the 40s!' Like, if you have to pat yourself on the back for not writing something worse then maybe your writing isn't actually that good. You know? IDK, it's such a small moment so it's weird that it bothers me as much as it does but I feel like it's a microcosm of a lot of my issues with TOH's writing. Anyway, any thoughts on that joke or TOH's joke writing in general? 🦎
There is... a lot to be said about the humor of TOH. I actually covered, theoretically, one problem in a blog about the male characters in TOH. That blog is relevant to this because 80% of TOH's comedy is predicated on the misery of some sort of the designated comic relief characters. In S1, this is pretty much entirely male. In S2, Lilith joins these ranks but not as the straight man she was in S1 (the comedy term, not the sexuality) but as just... The same sort of gag character everyone else is.
This designation of comic relief also commonly comes with only being allowed one or two main jokes that will be used over and over again in someway to make the character look like a fool. Now slapstick is fine and I like stuff like Randy Cunningham so I can enjoy it. The problem with TOH's comedy writing is that it's not creative, interesting and kind of eventually gets very obvious. As such, it becomes incredibly boring.
This is almost entirely why I found King to be a boring character for the entirety of S1. He just... isn't a character. He's two jokes that aren't very different from each other. A child trying to be taken seriously or an animal that is trying to have the respect of a human. Both degrade him, both have him acting the fool, both have him looking stupid, etc. like that and because he is the comedic backbone of the main trio in theory, these jokes are repeated somewhere close to a BILLION TIMES.
But... All of those lead to comedy that is for the most part boring. Without the actual interplay of characters, the comedy feels superfluous. It's like anything that relies on its comic relief to be able to claim to be a comedy rather than actually having that comedy weave in and out of the piece naturally. An untold amount of meh animated movies have this exact problem so it's nothing new even if people somehow don't understand that it is a problem.
But let's talk about the other 20% with the two jokes discussed in your ask! Both of them are in line with the fact that when the show isn't using slapstick, it's subversion. Namely, subversion of cartoon and fantasy tropes. The only problem is that it seems to think it's revolutionary for subverting tropes DECADES old... When they've either entirely fallen out of fashion or the sorts of subversion they're doing have been done for... decades as well almost.
Because distracting the guards by dressing in drag isn't something modern cartoons play straight anymore. They'll either see through the disguise, call them ugly, not be of the same species, etc. like that. And all of those are more of a joke than just calling out the fact that it's a trope and then that's it. That's the joke. Which isn't funny or clever. It's just an observation that begs the question of "Okay, and? We weren't treating you as a show from the 40s. Are we supposed to?"
As a tangent though: That whole conversation is a mess. You pointed out all the world building issues with it but let's just talk about who does what. Gus is weirdly the only character IN CHARACTER as they discuss this plan. Top Student Amity wants to go in and FIGHT EVERYONE while Willow, who has never shown any real cleverness with her magic, just overwhelming brute force, is the one to suggest actually being sneaky with a magical solution while also being the one to scold Gus the hardest. Admittedly, I don't agree with people who think Willow suppresses her emotions so her speaking up is in character but how overly mean she is about it feels like it was written for Amity but it was boarded wrong or something.
The other major issue in both jokes though, much more in the one I hate most, is the feeling of smugness. That the show obviously thinks it's incredibly clever for the joke. I mean, just how weird are fantasy names? Balthazar? Magnus? Tarik?
Oh, wait, TOH actually used that last one. And the others are rooted in cultures not in America so treating as entirely fantastical nowadays is just kind of being an asshole. I mean, how many Japanese or Arabic names are going to sound weird to an American, where 'Christopher' is about as complex or interesting as our first names get? So maybe you shouldn't judge so quickly.
But that's not the point anyways. It's that so many OTHER fantasy shows take themselves so seriously with these names or ideas or leaders and look how 'funny' it is when they're named something like Bill! Or they're actually a stoner! Aren't we a riot?
And there's never thought beyond that. Of how it clashes with the narrative which is the REAL reason I DESPISE the Bob joke. Unlike something like the Bile Sacs, something that is used as a subversive joke that fucks up the magic system in some way because they'll never get brought back up again... Bob fucks up his episode.
Theoretically, the tension of the episode is whether or not these people are good and if King should be with them to find out about his culture. The first time "Bill" is uttered out of Tarik's mouth, the show just hard pauses for a second, as if to allow for the snickers to die down, before Luz even straight up asks if it's short for something. They straight up spend 15 seconds of the episode destroying any possible gravitas this character has.
Which is an immediate sign. If these characters were actually meant to be a dilemma from a character standpoint, they'd be taken seriously. They could be silly but their culture would matter. Their leaders would matter. In fifteen seconds, for the sake of a joke they're obviously so proud of, at the ten minute mark so we have half the episode left...
The audience knows the truth. They're grifters or bad men in some way and King and Luz shouldn't trust them. All for fifteen seconds for a bad joke that's not original in the slightest.
And for anyone who thinks we're thinking too hard about these jokes: That's not our problem. Okay, it absolutely is my problem, I overthink most things, but in general, if we're questioning jokes this much... The show has failed. In some way, the joke has broken the suspension of disbelief and now I'm not watching something I'm invested in, I'm instead aware of it being a construct and kid's show. And because of the egotism, it demands higher scrutiny the moment that happens. I've talked about this problem with TOH before. And comedy suffers the most from it because TOH doesn't do rapid fire comedy. It wants its jokes to be gut busters. It's REALLY confident in a lot of them, especially the more ego put into the joke. And... I'm sorry. While TOH does constitute deserving the comedy genre title, it's just not a great comedy. It's fine at best usually but it doesn't have variety and it's usually not clever. Does it sometimes manage a great one? I would hope so since it's literally listed as a comedy. But if you want something unique and that deserves to think of itself as a gut buster, you're going to have look for something that tries harder than this. (and of course as a caveat to ALL of this: I prefer British style of humor and interplay which takes a lot more sarcasm, back and forth, etc. like that so I'm a bit predisposed to not being hit as hard by it as others. Comedy is so subjective though that that's why I tried to stick to kind of the general, structural and presentation issues with the comedy rather than whether the jokes themselves are good or not.) ======

And now, for your viewing pleasure, another crossover AU involving a Disney cartoon and a wildly successful media franchise that started in the 1980s!
In this world, stepsisters Luz Noceda and April O’Neil find themselves in the Demon Realm and meet not just Eda and King, but also Eda’s old friend Splinter and his four juvenile anthropomorphic hero terrapin sons Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. Eda and Splinter have raised the Heroes in a Half Shell in the Owl House for years ever since Splinter found the baby turtles in a pizza box while on the run from the Foot Coven, the black-ops division of the Emperor’s Coven.
The Turtles all attend Hexside in addition to training under Splinter, and their classmates include Amity, Willow, Gus, Casey Jones, Mona Lisa, Mondo Gecko, and numerous other TOH and TMNT characters. The boys also each have their own Palisman, with Leo owning Mayhem from ROTTMNT, Don with Metalhead, Raph with Pepperoni, and Mikey with Klunk. Also, Leo is on the Healing track, Donnie is Oracle, Raph is Bard, and Mikey is Beast Keeping.
Leading the Foot Coven is the Shredder, as per usual, alongside his wife Oroku Miwa aka Kitsune (based off Kitsune from the IDW comics) and their daughters Karai and Pimiko (the latter originating from the Image comics, but more based off the version from Sophie Campbell’s Secret of the Ooze webcomic).
Like in the Mirage Comics, the old live action movies and the 2003 show, the Shredder murdered Hamato Yoshi, but in a marriage of the cartoon and comic origins, Yoshi would use forbidden magic to reincarnate himself in the body of his Palisman Splinter. Gaining an increase in size and intelligence thanks to Yoshi’s spirit inhabiting his body, Splinter would go into hiding until he discovered the Turtles, leading us to today.
In addition to the Oroku family leading the Foot Coven, there’s Krang (still an alien, as the Utroms were forced to evacuate Dimension X to escape being conquered by King Aldrich Leviathan), Baxter Stockman, who in this universe is an old classmate of Eda and Lilith, the trio of Hun, Bebop & Rocksteady, Koya & Bludgeon, Dogpound & Fishface, Hattori Tatsu, Master Khan, Groundchuck & Dirtbag, Dr. Chaplin, and the Stone Soldiers consisting of Traag, Granitor, Aguila, Gato, Serpiente, and Mono.
Due to the relationship between the Emperor’s Coven and the Foot Coven, Lilith finds herself the leader of her own little team consisting of herself, Bebop & Rocksteady, Hun, Stockman, and Karai. Out of the gang, Lilith finds herself closest to Baxter, since they were classmates at Hexside as mentioned above, and Karai due to the two sharing a close, mother-daughter bond that everyone wanted out of Lilith and Amity. In fact, it’s Lilith’s betrayal that causes Karai to question her loyalties to Belos and Shredder, much like her surrogate brother Hunter. Meanwhile, Hun, Bebop and Rocksteady love picking on her for being such a nerdy stick in the mud.
Also existing in this universe are Leatherhead, the Fugitoid and Monkey Brains as part of the faculty of Hexside, Ch’rell as a member of the Emperor’s Coven, Odalia Blight being business partners with Darius Dunn, Madame Null, Max Winters and Eric Sacks, the Bards/Covens Against the Throne being merged with the Mighty Mutanimals (along with a few other members like Tokka & Rahzar, Mortu, and DIGG), some of the characters from Usagi Yojimbo being turned into biped demons, Sunita being adopted alongside Vee by Camila Noceda & Kirby O’Neil, and Jacob Hopkins being an undercover member of the Earth Protection Force.
The Day of Unity progresses mostly the same in this world, only the Shredder rises up to declare himself ruler of the Boiling Isles after Belos’s presumed death while putting bounties on the heads of Eda, Splinter, Lilith, Raine, Darius, Eberwolf, and the rest of the CATTs. Meanwhile, Luz, April, the Turtles, Amity, Willow, Gus, Casey, Lisa, Mondo, Hunter, and Karai are ejected into the Human Realm by King as the Collector is unleashed. Now, the fourteen kids seek to find a way back to the Demon Realm to save their families & friends and the multiverse from Shredder.

trying to find a silver lining for the leak... I guess now that I’m gonna have everything TOH related tumblr saviour’d for a couple weeks, I can focus on finishing that interrim fanfic without distraction...?
(also the song comic that I completed today and have scheduled to post in the morning shhh)
(I still really hope that episode two will be or at least include what the Isles have been up to while Luz and the gang were on Earth, but I know it’s fairly unlikely disney would allow a whole-ass episode without the teenagers there so I’m writing some thoughts about what could have been happening)
(anyway)
(love when more of a post is in parentheses than out)

Gravity Falls
Bill Cipher is Dormammu’s ‘frenemy’
Gravity Falls was actually the battlefield between Agamotto & Bill, which the mystery is caused by their remaining magical power from the fight.
Pacifica Northwest later disowns her family & becomes ‘Paz Universe’ instead (Adopted by Greg, being Steven’s little sister).
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
No MLP: EG, or EG’s Canterlot is a ‘mysterious’ city in Canada. Like Gravity Falls, Karma Taj, or Gravesfield of Connecticut.
Equestria is another galaxy that is small & close to the milky way, so some interaction could be easy.
Nightmare Moon/Princess Luna was almost chosen by Necrosword, but Luna believed she didn't need the sword.
Changelings’ DNA is one of the sources of ‘modified’ DNAs of Skrulls.
Crystal Empire was part of failed Gems’ colonies of Equus.
King Sombra was corrupted by Necrosword, and later, will be “Mount of Gorr”
Discord is also Sorcerer Supreme’s “Duties” (until he redeems)

Can we see the initial designs of Jane and Anyha?Pretty please??
Of course!! I wasn’t actually expecting to get any ask about the comic or characters, but I am so overjoyed about it!
Just, most of the betas are simply drawn on some doodling computer pages I used to sketch the overall characters before making the full references, so they probably look terrible, sorry about that!
Okay, Jane didn’t actually have a real “beta”, I knew almost immediately what kind of character I wanted her to be and what features I wanted her to have. But in my very first, short-lived, concept of her, she was supposed to be a rich trophy wife. That didn’t make the cut, tho, because it reminded me way too much of Odalia Blight, so she became just a simple stay at home mum with way too high expectations on her daughter. She kept most of her features from the concept, like the mole, the purple lipstick and hair and the chignon.
This first picture is her beta, the second one is the final design. (Yes i've used TOH characters bases because drawing in the TOH artstyle is hard)

Anyha was so much harder to create, because I didn’t really know what kind of character I wanted to make, at first. Her first concept was a happy go-merry girl with pink hair tied in a ponytail, but then she reminded me too much of Luz, and it got scrapped.

She then became a cynic girl with brown pigtails, wearing a sweater, but she wouldn’t really have been likable that way. I kept the brown hair and scrapped the rest of the concept.

The one more similar to how she is now is the one where she has long, light brown hair and still wears a sweater.

Her hair got darker with the arrival of our second protagonist (since they would have had the same hair color otherwise). This is the closest beta concept we have to the Anyha that exists now.

Evntually I’ve settled with her being a complete opposite of Luz, so a serious, down-to-Earth, fantasy-hating kid who’s the top of her school and has a bit of a gifted kid burnout, and so I started drawing her with a school uniform, which made it to the final design, which is this.

Hope that answers your question! :) And please, ask again if you want to know more about anything else!

also. while the episode was amazing and i know the season will be great, it's so sad to know that
1)there were like 5 episodes turned into a 2 minute montage because disney shortened the season and
2)next episode comes out next year
i hope dana gets to make comics to expand on everything they did on earth. especially bc they tried a lot of stuff like making a portal door. i wanted toh to be like amphibia, that got like over half a season to explore the human world. we didn't get that in the owl house, but we might get it in the form of comics!! i hope so

So have any Amphibians visited the Boiling Isles? And any witches visited Amphibia?
atm yes, just cause it doesn't make sense for the Trio and Luz to know each other and not visit each other's worlds but I'm gonna wait till the TOH series finale to see if the portal to and from the Isles and Earth is still around before I make any comics of that (and if we get any canon time-skip designs for the TOH characters)
