Of course! Bajie is def the second most popular Xiyouji character right behind Wukong. He is considered to be a perfect romance objection being that he is funny, cute, flawed, and relatable! Whether you are someone that love comedic characters having more depth put on to them, or you are a sucker for tragic romances with hopeless romantics, or even lazy characters with a heart of gold then you are in luck that Zhu Bajie fulfills all your needs!

There is no doubt that Wukong is a fan favorite being a hero and a rebel, with amazing powers and always a clever trick up his sleeve he is legendary! But comedic relief characters are also adored, esp when you can just add a little ~angst~ which Bajie has plenty of being yeeted down to earth.

He is a flawed character being greedy, selfish, lazy, etc. but also who hasn't felt like they have been before? Sometimes people are selfish or lazy but that doesn't have to be all that they are nor are they a bad people for having bad traits. They can be compassionate, loyal, humorous, and strong as well. Bajie is a lot of things and I think that people enjoy seeing a flawed character that is usually a comedic relief really be given some depth esp since love tradigies are very popular as well.

Bajie being the height example of a man who can never have love but still be loveable!

Selene Harris, born Selene Drewitt, had always been a person that preferred to stay at home. There wasn't much the outside world could give that she wanted that couldn't be found there. Aside from school, it's where she normally stayed. Even after the voices began.

At the age of sixteen, she saw a strange figure by the window late at night. She thought nothing of it, thinking they were lost or out for a nightly stroll. She woke up to the screams of her mother before the next hour.

With her parents dead, she was raises by her aunt for the next few years. She still lived in her childhood house, the master bedroom locked until further notice. Sometimes, late in the evening, Selene could hear noises from within - curiosity getting the better of her one day. There, she found her mother's corpse, waiting at her.

She witnessed similar things with her father; the pair following the poor girl through the house. Like some people, she chose to ignore it. Put on a happy face. Got married right after high school ended to a guy that was a borderline stalker, but sweet. She stayed at home taking care of everything there while he went about his way, refusing to look at the second pair of eyes in the mirror. She lived the perfect life; till the day she realized it wasn’t that - and fell in love.

Part of the reason she stays home now is out of some hidden guilt over the tradigies in her life and what she does to keep a happy home. She let's the ghosts of her past haunt her to punish herself for the accident she believes started it all and the blood on her hands.

Whether they're actually ghosts, a physical representation of her guilt - or something else entirely - is up to speculation.

Her only relief from this pain is keeping a clean house, and you. Even if she's punishing herself, she still finds herself entitled to the feeling of love. Your presences alone pushes away of the bad thoughts, and the screams that echo in her mind by proxy.

The eyes that I cried from, shine In the light from tears.

The body I tore a mistreated, be loved by my cats.

My chapped and scared lips still say the sweetest words.

I am a horror, a horror made from the hands of others, and I have so much spite, and I wish to rip the world apart some days, and I have let those I love burn down in the forest fire that I am.

But the kindness and trust my cats show everyone they meet, is a show that I am soft.

The way my plants thrive, is a show that I am kind.

The way I treat my books, is a show that I am gentle.

The art I make, is a show that I wish to hold someone dear and true.

I see myself as a gentle sort of horror. Broken, and torn, and having a nasty bite, and yet, flowers grow, and animals come, and I am soft, even when my hands feel like they are covered in throws some days, I will hold yours like they are made of glass
